Speaker 1 (00:00):
I don't know why it took so long, but we
have finally centralized all of my podcasts, all seventeen of them.
You don't have to ask Alexa or even Siri. All
you gotta do is just go to Arrow dot net,
Aroe dot net and thank you so much for supporting everything.
When it's extremely difficult to make up your mind, I mean,
having that power of choice can actually weaken your heart.
(00:21):
On this episode of the Choice, we're going to explore
the choices that we make when it comes to answering
or ignoring a text message. When is it time to
hit block? Plus two words respect versus professionalism? Which one
are you? My name is Erro. Life is a series
of choices. Who decides when you're not making the right choice?
(00:43):
And is it a fear of something going wrong? The
greatest lessons in life are often lost inside hidden away
attempts and concepts. Well, it's time to reopen your heart,
because having that power of choice is your daily gift.
On this highway, we're gonna learn how to trust mirages.
What is the true choice? How about making the choice
to answer or ignore a text message from someone that
(01:05):
you don't know the only time you should hit reply
is after they have clearly identified themselves. It must be
from a known number and you're expecting to hear from
this business and or person. When not to answer, it
is far more important. The name is weak inside your
memory banks. Although it sounds personal, it can still be
(01:26):
what's called phishing. You've seen enough TV shows about phishing.
It is very dangerous. If they ask for money, don't
send it. If there are links attached, don't open them.
If something feels unsafe, number one thing to do block them.
That action then comes into googling their phone number. If
(01:47):
your curiosity is going to kill the cat, be very neutral. Hi,
how's everything going? My name is? Who are you? But
what if the text mentions your legal name? First of all,
your legal name is very public knowledge. Scammers are constantly
purchasing numbers. They will use your legal name to sound
more convincing. Never confirm your personal information. Never assume a
(02:13):
text message is ever safe. Scammers, Oh, they know your
address and they know your birthday. The thing to do
block the text out and then report it. Your instinct
is always going to be spot on. Hey, coming up next.
Respect versus professionalism There is a huge difference, But which
(02:36):
one are you hey? Thanks for coming back to the choice.
What is it okay to kind of sit back and
figure out the next play on the field with all
of your hopes and ambitions locked in. Respect is connected
to character as well as attitude. It's the value that
we put in people, which you can choose to use
(02:58):
anywhere I'm talking about the work or even in public.
Respect is very personal and emotional, and it's rooted in empathy,
listening as well as fairness. Now let's put focus on
making the choice to put professionalism ahead of respect. That
in itself is linked to standards and behavior. Knowing how
(03:19):
to conduct yourself. You have the choice to be professional
even if you don't respect the person that you're currently
standing with. Professional versus respect involves your reaction, which can
be cold or fake. Respect without professionalism lacks boundaries and structure.
The best workplace relationship is having a respectful tone with
(03:41):
a professional discipline. Being aware of what you're using outside
the shell when it comes to energy is very important
because those you're coming across to they could look at
you and say you are such a total fake and
that one time good thing could be gone because they
come completely misread you. It is a choice. I'm Errol
(04:05):
and that's what I was writing while the sun was
waking up on a brilliant new day.
