I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   While making new years resolutions are we setting ourselves up for failure?  Plus…how can we create a more positive path toward setting goals and meeting ambitions?    I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…

(00:22):
I'm always asking questions, and the reason why is because
the fun begins when you start researching for those answers,
such as, when making New Year's resolutions, aren't we, in
reality setting ourselves up for failure? Plus? How can we
create a more positive path towards setting goals and meeting ambitions?

(00:44):
My name is Erro. I'm a daily writer, a silent wolf.
I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study,
than activate. I call it the daily Mess, a chronological
walk through an everyday world. Yeah, it's my morning writing
as a receiver of thoughts and ideas, We as people
tend to throw things to the side because we're so
convinced that we're gonna deal with it later on. Is

(01:07):
it on your calendar? What about now? What about now?
Have you done it yet? See what I mean? See
what I mean when a subject arrives inside of me.
I know it's time to dig in. It's still keeping
that daily journal. But but but but but by doing
the research, the picture becomes clearer. This is the daily
mess when making New Year's resolutions, aren't we just kind

(01:30):
of setting ourselves up for failure? The short answer is yes,
I didn't say that. Mental health experts said that. Yes,
But we truly don't have to feel like a failure.
A New Year's resolution always feels inspiring. It's the way
we frame the resolutions that can get us in trouble

(01:50):
with a struggle. So why do they fail? Well, they're
date based, not behavioral based. January first of every single
year is a twenty four hour period of high pressure
as well as symbolism not readiness. New Year's resolutions are
usually focused in on shaping an outcome, you know, like
losing thirty pounds by eating less sugar. Oh man, that

(02:13):
could be big results. No clear action takes place. The
motivation that New Year's resolutions generate doesn't stay locked into
that red bull rush. Motivation has a way of fading.
I mean, seriously, when it comes down to it, a
New Year's resolution is an all or nothing challenge. One

(02:34):
slip up, and your inner core of belief instantly slideses
that little failure sticker right there onto your forehead. I mean,
it's because we've been trained that if something fails, it
means something about me. That's not growth, that's actually shame
dressed up as ambition. Hey, coming up next, if we

(02:56):
aren't creating New Year's resolutions, how do we expect to
set new goals and projections? Hey? Thanks for coming back
to the daily mess. We all agree that creating a
resolution can be a setting up of failure. Well, what
happens if we decide to not create New Year's resolutions?

(03:17):
How do we expect to set new goals and projections
for the new year. Well, let's make it clear new
Year's resolutions are guilty of a serious crime, turning self
improvement into a moral test. There's a much better way
to look at this. Don't set yourself up with another
worthless resolution. Go into it as an experiment. What happens

(03:41):
if I were to take a ten minute walk every
single day? That was me like three years ago. I
call it a transition walk today. But what happens if
I take a ten minute walk every day? It changed
my life? What if I stopped eating after eight pm?
You know what happened. I went from two eleven to
one seventy four when it comes to my weight because

(04:01):
I stopped eating late at night. What if I stripped
away many things such as know the identity builders? Am
I not kind of reconstructing my identity? If even I
take an experiment and put it into forward motion, well,
the goal is to do all you can to toy

(04:22):
away with the idea of no longer rushing into a meal.
I want you to think about that. We live in
a world overtaken by movement. To face directional change every
single day, choose up the need to create a resolution.
It gets in the way of seasonal intentions and more.
I mean, we're trying to fit our entire life into

(04:44):
a ten pound potato sack. Research shows got to bring
in the research. It shows that people who don't make
resolutions actually grow more, They quit less, they learn new
projects much faster, and stay kinder to their inner selves.
Screw the act of resolutions and adopt intentional and flexible

(05:07):
actions that actually lead toward personal growth. Him Merril, And
that's the daily mess
