tap into your life and style, not say this is
the way that it is followed by my rules. I mean,
I know your life is filled with sports, spiritual journeys
as well as your love for spine tingling mysteries from
amazing new authors. Aro dot net, aarre dot net. Everything

has its own channel, it's for you to explore. My
name is Arrow, host of the weekly podcast Podcrashing, four
hundred and twenty six episodes that connect listeners to podcasts
specialists around the world. Now, my goal has always been
to inform our community with subjects that deal with everything
and beyond. Podcast hosts are usually open and always filled

with a spirit that spreads their skills as journalists, medical specialists,
true crime soldiers, gamblers, motivators, spiritualists, actors and their famous children.
I mean literally, there's a podcast for every subject. The
podcast pod Crashing has been with me since March of
twenty nineteen. The original goal was to put focus on

helping up and coming podcasters to have the right information
about hosting as well as surviving. I'm not selling anything.
The idea went fifty four episodes before adopting a new plan.
Why not talk directly with the podcasters those that are
limited every single day. The purpose of Podcrashing one on

one is to help you build your own platform, to
promote it and maybe make some cash. This is Podcrashing
one on one episode number four twenty six. If you
aren't a writer, is podcasting for you? I mean, how
important is script preparation plus the infamous written out interviews
(01:48):
before the questions? I love the short answer? Now, you
don't have to be a writer or be anything close
to it. Research shows most podcasts hosts don't invest honing
their skills as a writer. In fact, the only real
skills and qualities are more about being authentic and present
with your own gifts to gap. So what matters most? Okay,

we're going to do a list here. Number one curiosity
If you're truly connected to covering the story on the
podcast and those connected to it, visibility is everything. Podcast
listeners accept you as you being you, but that's the
picture you're painting for them. Just be curious. Number two consistency.

I mean, I know podcasters who set free a podcast
at least once a week, and they are doing amazing
with their analytic numbers and followers. I happen to do
it seven days a week. Yeah, I do, because I'm
old school radio and that's what we did in radio.
We showed up every day. And I openly admit that
being a daily writer and published author does get in

the way of my podcasting. You've been trained to stick
to the rules. I mean, who, what, where, why, when?
And how has always got to be answered either way
you look at it. Your play on that stage has
got to stay connected to your followers with brand new content. Hey,

Having a point of view is very important, and I
laugh at things like this because multiple digital top dogs
are relying on their grammar to be unpolished just to

have something to say. Number four have an endless willingness
to be the learner the student. New study show that
checking in with you actually brings you closer to your
relationsationship with those that are checking out the podcast. So
why don't you have to be a writer? Then podcasts
(04:07):
are spoken people want your voice, not a handwritten essay.
No cross t's and dotted i's. You'll probably have run
on sentences and question marks in areas that should have
been more of a statement. Writing does help when it's
required coming up with the body of the story, the beginning,
the middle, and of course the end and title. Writing

short descriptions on your digital platform upload is very important
because you've got to organize your ideas and bring them
to life in a true crime story or investigation. Here's
one thing to remember though, if you choose not to
write but rather lean on AI technology. There are a
(04:49):
lot of digital platforms right now that want to know
about your AI use. If you didn't write it, you
kind of have to tell them I didn't write it.
I gave it to AI to put together. They want
to know this stuff because they're covering their own butts.

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance.
