(10:31):
of Articulation Radio, which is titledModeration makes all celebrations marry because we know
indeed they do. But I'll getinto that a little bit later on.
But we kicked off the show peopleby playing for you nil zilch Nne by
our very own goddish sage and afterthat you heard hanging Out by Stephan Netsman.

(10:54):
Now let me get into the topicthat I promised you all. You
know earlier, I told you we'regonna you know, we getting into a
topic on today's episode. So we'reonly gonna play a few songs for you,
and yeah, I'm gonna let metalk to you for a little while.
Now. This episode is gonna beyour first sample of how this year
we'll be mixing in episodes where youcan hear us give our commentary a little

(11:18):
bit more. We'll have some episodesskilled with the interviews, and we'll also
have something like this where it's alittle music and a lot of commentary.
You know. But yeah, butpeople, and you know, we'll keep
mixing in, you know, someof those things that you know you're used
to that News, you know, the verse of the Day that we've recently
added. But at any rate, people, once I'm done with my commentary,

(11:41):
I'm gonna play a few more songsfor you. I'm gonna play I
Used to Treat You Right by MadModish featuring Dayone. You know you like
that. I'm also gonna play someSomewhat Happy for You by Peter Sandberg.
That's gonna be a new one thatwe're playing here on our Articulation Radio for
you. And then once we getthat cut in, I'm gonna come on
for you and I'm going to playMissing by Sebastian for Slawn featuring Skylar,

(12:07):
And that's also going to be thefirst time that this song is played here
on Articulation Radio. So you willbe hearing some new music not just on
this episode, but all of ourother episodes this year's well, and you
will be hearing some of your favoritesfrom the past as well. So,
yes, we're going to keep growingthe show. And if you would like

(12:28):
to be on the show, havea topic for us, head on over
to Articulationmedia Dot club and share thatwith us. We definitely want that.
But now let me get into mytopic which again is moderation mixed all celebrations.
Mary hev into today's topic. People, And as you know, anytime

(12:50):
any day, there are likely anumber of people, even people you know,
people I know, people we love, who are are maybe celebrating a
little too much, and they turna good time into a bad time,
not just for themselves but anybody aroundyou know. But certainly celebrating occasions can

(13:11):
be enjoyable without us overindulging in partyfavors. Now, I'm gonna give you
some ways to celebrate any occasion whileyou enjoy your adult party favors in moderation,
along with tips for responsible consumption ofalcohol, tobacco, and marijuana.

(13:31):
And I say those because those arethe only thing I can speak on other
things. I you know, don'tfeel comfortable just talking off the cuff giving
tips or advice on because I hadn'tmessed with that. But with anything,
you know, moderation is key.You know, all things in moderation,
period. But you know number one, moderation is key. Whether it's alcohol,

(13:54):
tobacco, or marijuana, the fundamentalrule is moderation. Enjoy these substances
in limited quantities to avoid negative consequenceson your health and behavior. Number two,
you need to plan ahead, setlimits for yourself before any celebration.
Decide how much you will consume andstick to your plan. Consider using smaller

(14:16):
sized drinks or pre measuring alcohol whenyou're making your drinks yourself there at home,
so that you can make sure you'remanaging your intake. You also want,
I would say three, have adesignated driver or use some ride services
if alcohol will be involved, Definitelyplan for transportation ahead. Assign a designated

(14:39):
driver or a range of right shareservice so that you can make sure everybody
get home safely. Then, beforeyou want to provide alternatives, offer non
alcoholic beverages and activities at the celebration, because not everybody who celebrates consumes those
things, and you don't want anyoneto feel left out or feel pure.

(15:00):
You're pressured. You want everyone toenjoy themselves, You want everyone to be
safe, You want everyone to creategreat memories. So having a variety of
options ensures everyone feels included, eventhose who choose not to partake in any
alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. And five, you know, know your
limits, Understand your tolerance level forany of these substances, and respect that

(15:22):
avoid peer pressure and know when youneed to stop and say no if you
feel uncomfortable. Six, Stay hydratedand eat well. Drinking water and having
the meal before consuming alcohol helps toslow down the absorption rate and to lessen
the effects. Eating can also mitigatethe effects of tobacco or marijuana as well

(15:45):
as as you know that drinking youknow, but avoid mixing substances, combining
alcohol with tobacco or marijuana, andespecially if you're doing medications like pills,
you should not be doing that. But you know, mixing those and you
know that's a deadly combination, thatalcohol with those pills. But definitely combining

(16:06):
alcohol with tobacco or marijuana can intensifytheir effects, but it also increased their
risks. So for those of youwho entourage, you know, be cautious
and avoid mixing the different substances. And you need to Number eight, respect
legal boundaries. Be mindful of thelocal laws regarding the use of alcohol,
tobacco, and marijuana. Always consumethese substances responsibly and within the legal limits.

(16:33):
And know when you're over the stateline. You know, you know
when you've gone outside that safe jurisdiction. Be mindful of where If you're in
a state where recreation marijuana is legal, make sure that when you cross into
state lines to those states where it'snot, you need to be sure to

(16:56):
drive extra cautiously. Make sure thatthat you you know, follow the rules
and adhere to all the risks ofentering into that state in that particular state.
So and number eight you know, mindful consumption of tobacco. For tobacco
products, you know, consider alternativeslike nicotine patches or gum. If you're

(17:18):
trying to reduce or quit smoking,be considerate too of non smokers and only
smoking designated areas. You know, don't nobody want to be well, I
won't even get into that, y'all. Please just only smoking and designated areas
and educate. Number ten you know, educate yourself understand the potential health risks
associated with excessive use of alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. Knowing the risks

(17:42):
can help you make informed decisions aboutconsumption. Remember, celebrations and enjoyment do
not need to rely solely on thesesubstances. Focusing on the company, the
conversation, the camaraderie, the creativity, the activities can often make it to
where you have more memorable and enjoyablemoments. And if someone is struggling with

(18:06):
substance use or is seeking guidance onresponsible consumption, it really is advantageous for
you to seek advice from a healthcareprofessional or you know, join support groups
that specialize in addiction and substance abuse. And you know, and of course,
and there are I know, it'sdifferent steps for each thing. You
know, because stop in the useof alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana involves

(18:30):
commitment, support, and specific strategiesthat are tailored to each substance. Here
are some quick ways that you canquite or reduce the use of these substances.
Like stopping alcohol use, you canset clear goals, you can seek
support, avoid those triggers, establishhealthy habits, and consider medication or therapy.

(18:52):
For quitting tobacco use, the fivetips would be to set a quit
date, get nicotine replacement therapy, use some behavioral support, change your routines,
and stay accountable. And for quittingmarijuana use, the five tips are
to seek support, create a plan, find healthy alternatives, seek therapy or

(19:17):
counseling, and practice gradual reduction.Remember, people seeking professional help and staying
committed to the goal of quitting arecrucial. Everyone's journey is unique, so
finding what works best for you isessential for successfully stopping the abuse or overuse

(19:38):
or unhealthy consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or marijuana, because the whole point
is to have it to where whenyou're out and you're celebrating having a great
time, it doesn't matter. Theholiday, doesn't matter, the occasion doesn't
matter if it's fifty million people orfifty people are just you by yourself.
Moderation makes celebrations mary, so youkeep having a good time. Make sure

(20:03):
you ain't over there, overdoing itand throwing up on people and falling out
and wondering out in the traffic. All is just ruined in the times and
the memories of people do better. You're too old for that. You should
know your limits. You need toand if you don't know them, then
thank god, that means you hadn'treached reached them yet. But if you
find yourself every time you go out, you I just know, no,
just you gotta do better, people. Moderation makes all celebrations mery, so

(20:29):
make sure you don't do too muchin ruin a good thing. Let me
go ahead and rolice cuts for you. Articulation Radio. Thanks you so much
