Articulation Radio is very pleased to have with us today
the Arthur Extraordinaire, Miss Jamika Vine. She has another new
work for you all. This one is titled Healing the
Hurt of Yesterday. And before I even have her to
go in real deep on that. First of all, Miss Vines,
(21:38):
how are you doing today and how beautiful is it
where you are?
Speaker 30 (21:43):
Well, I'm in Mississippi. It's hot, but I'm excited because
it's Friday, you know, it's the end of the week,
so it's such a joyous occasion for me. So I'm
doing well today and I'm blessing them, thankful, you know.
Speaker 29 (21:56):
So yes, yes, ma'am, and definitely being there in the stiffs.
Speaker 19 (22:04):
You know.
Speaker 29 (22:04):
It just doesn't get any better than that, at least
not in nineteen you know. But then we know I
am a bit biased, you know, when it comes down
to them crooking letters, I ask white, you know. But yeah,
we wanted to ask you real quick both of the Well, first,
before I ask you about the motivation, I want to
be sure that I did have this correct, because I
(22:24):
was thinking that you had put out other works. But
is this your first work? If so, tell me about
the motivation behind it. But if it is not, tell
me first about some of your previous works.
Speaker 30 (22:40):
Okay, So, Helen I heard of yesterday was actually my memoir,
is my testimony, you know. So this was my first book,
but I have two other books as well. The second
one is Godly Affirmations. I also have Unshackled, and it's
a book about deliverance, prayers, and Godly Affirmation is all
about speaking life through Christ Jesus. So you know, I
(23:01):
just want to be that voice to build others up.
I don't want to be the one to tear, you know,
to tear them down, you know, I want to uplift others.
I want to be a voice for many.
Speaker 29 (23:12):
Beautiful And now tell me about how you decided to
go ahead and release healing the hurt of yesterday. Okay, Well,
as I sit back, you know, and I would actually
tell my testimony, and God was calling me to the
Forefront Act to tell my testimony, and I wore godent
(23:32):
of shame only for the simple fact of you know,
I knew that I have to be vulnerable in order
to tell my testimony. So and I wanted to share
with other women the rejection, abandonment and even trauma that
I face that left deep scars.
Speaker 30 (23:47):
And how God, if God can heal me physically, emotionally
and spiritually, he can do it for them as well.
Speaker 31 (23:53):
You know.
Speaker 30 (23:53):
So I want my testimony to be a breakthrough for
someone else.
Speaker 29 (24:00):
Yeah, that is lovely. And I like how in the
marketing summary that was submitted to us, it says here, how,
of course it's your personal journey of overcoming rejection, abandonment,
unforgiveness and the orphan spirit wounds that many silently carry.
Speaker 30 (24:20):
But never address.
Speaker 29 (24:21):
And in the book it says that you use your
life as an example of how your past may have
broken you, but it does not have the authority to
define your future, and that you share biblical truths, practical steps,
as well as raw moments of vulnerability to help others
find the courage to confront their pain and discover the
(24:42):
freedom of God that God has intended for them. For
those people who are like, well, I don't want to
let go of my hurt right now. I feel like
it's only because of my hurt and hanging on to
it that I can forgive, or you know that I can,
but some So for those who feel like no, they
(25:05):
need to keep the pain, they need to hang on to,
you know, the anger. You know that that's part of
what they need. What would you say to them to
help them discover that freedom that God has intended for them.
First and foremost, I would tell them to release the weight.
(25:28):
Unforgiveness can serve as a weight. And if we don't forgive,
God does not answer us when we pray, And that's
in the Bible in itself. So Unforgiveness is not something
you know that we want to hold onto, But forgiveness
is something that we should seek out. And also we
should forgive others and release them because once we release them,
we allow God to come into our life and to
(25:49):
help move us and shift us into our purpose. But
a lot of times we're held back from purpose and
even moving into the calling and direction that God has
called us to go into because we're being held back
by unforgiveness as well as the trauma and abandonment and rejection.
We have to release those weights. We have to lay
aside those weights in order to move forward and give
(26:11):
them an example of some of the things that you
mentioned in your book as far as and not well
as a matter of fact, not even some. Just give
them one example of a practical step that you offer
to help them be able to I would say, lay
those burdens down.
Speaker 30 (26:28):
So first and foremost. I would like to say, like
I said, and I'm always big on transparency. You know,
God is the He's an alphonom omega. He knows the
beginning from the end. However, we still have to be
transparent when we go before Him in prayer, intimacy with
the Father, is one of my biggest you know, tactes
as far as you know, dealing with just hurt, being wounded,
(26:50):
even healing. You know, I need to spend time in
the presence of God, even in secrecy, and just be
open and honest with them, you know, and give it
to God, like, Hey, God, this person here. You know,
for example, from my childhood, I talked about being sexually
assaulted as a child, but I had to go before
God and ask God. And you're like, God, I was
(27:11):
hurt this person, this family member did this to me
and I didn't understand what was going on. However, Father,
I want you to forgive them and also allow me
to forgive them. So transparency is key when it comes
to you know, just healing and then not holding on
too unforgiveness. You need to be transparent in order to
move forward.
Speaker 29 (27:33):
Yes, Yes, and what about for those who are like
you know, Hey, I've done that. I've prayed and I've
asked the Lord to you know, come and take these
feelings away from me or you know, to bless me
with this new connection.
Speaker 19 (27:48):
You know.
Speaker 29 (27:49):
I've prayed, the prayers, I've you know, stood by in faith.
I've gone and thanked in their head in advance, and
I've testified people about this great change that God is
going to make him my life. But yet no, I
still can't get past these certain things. Or when I
still see that person's face or hear this person's name,
(28:10):
you know, I just want pain and suffering and torment
to be unto them because death will be too easy.
What would you say for those people to help them
be able to still hold on but to also acknowledge
how God is still working with them, because it's possibly
only the grace of God that's keeping them in that
(28:31):
very moment that yeah, you may not like that, Oh
you still have some disdain and still want harm to
this person, But you know, what would you say to
help them to realize that it's really the grace of
God that's even keeping you off of them. But they'll
still be thankful for every little step and want the
big prayer would be answered or they'll be able to
(28:52):
see it. What would you say to those who have
a hard time seeing that the prayers are getting answered,
even if it's not the way they expected.
Speaker 30 (29:02):
Okay, So I would say, you have to trust God,
have faith in God. He also says in his word
he promised us vengeance is mind I will repay. And
a lot of times we overstep God over we overstep
our boundaries because we want to take matters into our
own hands instead of allowing God to handle it for us,
you know, and trusting him. And then also a lot
(29:24):
of times, I know, with me, it was certain people
in my life where I was like, Okay, God, I've
forgiven them. However, there was still a little bit of
residue and I had to ask God to remove the
spirit of resentment. Yes, ma'am, I had to release resentment.
Although it hurts, I had to forgive them, release them
so that I can move on in purpose because there
(29:45):
are people that are waiting for me. You know, there
are people that are connected to our assignment. And that's
based on you know, the impact that God or the
calling or area even admnising, not just ministry, but within
you know, the world that God has called us to
our spere of influence. So you know, I don't want
to be held back because I'm holding others back if
I'm not healing and walking into my purpose or my calling.
Speaker 29 (30:09):
Yes, and listeners, we also have to remember too that
the more we resist that at some point you really
have to face yourself and you have to realize that
you're really being disobedient and you're being rebellious, and you
know those things. You know, while grace exists, it's only
(30:30):
applied so far. You know, otherwise it would not be grace,
you know. But but oh, and for those of you
who are just tuning in, you're listening to Articulation Radio.
My name is god is Stage, and I am interviewing
the Arthur Demika Vines, and we're talking about her new book,
Healing the Hurt of Yesterday. And as a matter of fact,
(30:53):
Ms Vine let them know all the different places that
they can grab up them a copy of Healing the
Hurt of Yesterday and tell them I'm without the price points.
Speaker 30 (31:02):
So I get so excited every time I talk about
the book, because you know, it took me forever to
kind of get my testimony published. But you can purchase
the book on Amazon dot com or either Barnthannoble dot
com right now. I do have it marked down. It's
on sale for twelve ninety nine, so go give you
a copy. You can get either the hard copy or
the book copy as well.
Speaker 29 (31:24):
Very good and now, and for those people who are like, Okay,
I've already ordered my book. I just need to know
where can I get it autographed? You know where can
I see her? Do you have any events that are
scheduled well?
Speaker 30 (31:37):
As of now, I am mainly on TikTok, I am
hosting monthly seminars, and I do have a seminar scheduled
December to sixth in Texas, Dallas Fort Worth at the
Hilton Downtown Hilton, and I will be hosting an actual
seminar Healing the Herd of Yesterday. It'll start at four
o'clock PM. So if you guys want to come down,
I'll have a lot of copies of books the healing
(31:58):
the Hurd of Yesterday not only heard of yesterday, but
unshackled and godly affirmation. So come on out. I would
love to see you guys.
Speaker 29 (32:06):
And you said in this the Downtown Hilton, and what
are the dayton is that in Dallas store Fort Worth.
Speaker 30 (32:12):
It's going to be in Dallas, Texas. It will be
December to sixth at four pm.
Speaker 29 (32:18):
People, so see and you have plenty of time, so
you can't be like, oh, well, you know I was
listening for the event, but she said it it was
just that same weekend. No baby, no baby. Now you
know you have plenty of time. It's going to be
in December. So even if you're like, well, you know
I need to budget. You know, I want to take
(32:38):
the family there and then that way, you know, we
can get the trip in, plan it up, save it up,
pack everybody up. Make sure that you get you and
the family there, and then that way you can get
your book autographed. And of course you will also be
selling copies on site as well. So even if you
and your family decide to you know, just go ahead
(32:59):
and a group of you, I'll just decide to converge
on DFW that weekend. Then yeah, those who don't already
know about the Arthur, they'll be able to find out
about her and buy books on site as well. And
now tell them about your TikTok. Because you said that
every month you're doing something, you're hosting something there.
Speaker 30 (33:17):
So every month I'm hosting a monthly something semin our
healing I heard of yesterday. Not only is it a
test of money, but it's also a ministry. I was like, wow, God,
what am I doing? But you know, God has called
me to pour into other women and also to help
bring other not just women but men out of you know,
out of hiding, to help push them into their purpose.
(33:39):
So I'm all about that inner healing and deliverance and pushing,
you know, pushing people into their purpose because we all
have a calling in our life, you know, and we
don't want to stay stuck. We want to do what
Lot has called us to do.
Speaker 29 (33:52):
Yes, ma'am, Yes, because as we know, you know, faith
without works does absolutely none of the good that you
expect for it to do, you know, and definitely not
what it is that you're hoping for it to do.
And and going back to you know, yes, there are
times when we have to activate, get active, get involved,
(34:14):
take our steps, but as we know, sometimes we have
to get out of the way, like Miss Vines was
saying earlier. But the good thing is is that when
it comes down to healing the hurd of yesterday, that's
going to require you to both be active and be passive.
And for those of you who are like, well, you know,
(34:36):
there are some things I really don't want to forget.
Speaker 30 (34:40):
I move that.
Speaker 29 (34:42):
No, you won't forget the lessons just because you're not
constantly reminding yourself every day of what happened, and the
way I usually summarize it to people is this what
that person or those people did to you in that
moment or those moments you literally can enumerate, you can
(35:07):
count on your fingers. But what you do to yourself
by reliving it every day and forcing yourself to keep
this trauma or to keep this bad thought on the
front or even the back of the brain, to make
sure that just in case the five CMI no, that's
(35:27):
you adding additional torment to yourself. And I posit that
whenever we're tempted to be begrudging or you know, vindictive,
or you know, to want to take matters in our
own hands, just remember that just like when we do
(35:49):
our part and God handles the rest, how the rest
of that that's handled is way better than what we
could have done on our own, or we would have
stayed on that past.
Speaker 30 (36:01):
Best believe that.
Speaker 29 (36:03):
The same thing works, It works that same way, that
same intensity when God is inacting that wrath on behalf
of Christ beloved and her beloved. Because I'm telling you
even I am a living witness of that. You know,
to where it was a situation and this person and
I was like yeah, Lord, for them even be able
(36:24):
to that. She hadn't even been able to do that
to me, And yeah, you know, so I'm gonna do this.
I'm gonna get when I tell you. By the time
I finished saying what all I was planning on doing,
my spirit was like, no, let me handle that. I
can do it one better. And and I'm gonna be honest.
You know, I'm thinking, let me see, you know, let
me see. By Yeah, i'ma I'm gonna be ready and
(36:45):
waiting because now you know, I know for a fact
what I'm gonna do with and it's prayers that hadn't
been answered, so I don't know, you know, we'll see.
But when I tell you all that weekend, by the
time that weekend was over, it had totally flipped. I
was literally sittings like, oh Lord, you didn't have to
do it to her like that, like it must have
been more than me. That she must have cheated money
out of it, because surely all of that that happened
(37:08):
to her couldn't have been about just me. Because when
I tell you all, I will be honest. I was
planning on gluing the lady's glass doors together so that
that way when she tries to open it up to
go into her office after stealing this money from me,
that you know, she'll end up pulling this so hard
that it'll shatter. Okay, and so but when I tell you, baby,
(37:30):
and you'll see how, no, that ain't using compared to
what God did. Baby, That was what I was gonna
do to it that Friday, right, So I'm so glad
that I make God hamble the stage because baby, my daddy.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
Baby.
Speaker 29 (37:43):
But again, by the time he was finished, I was like, why,
because y'all, this woman was on the news. She literally
ended up being chased up out of DFW, which was
where I was living at the time. Then she ran
to Houston, which was where she thought she was gonna
have a baby. No, they were, I'm telling you, everywhere
she went in the state of Texas. This woman literally
(38:04):
had to run up out of Texas to keep these
federalities off of her. And I'm like, and I didn't
even call no cops, y'all. So I'm like, you know,
So I'm like, oh Lord, I know, for you know,
like yes or no. Best believe people sometimes your best
bet when you're told to let something go, and the
(38:26):
lead that alone, let the Lord have Listen, you might
have you might want to do that because you don't
want to get none of that residue. And yeah, yeah,
and you'll definitely know that not only will you be
fought for, will you be protected, but you will find
yourself those same people that you wanted to harm. You'll
(38:48):
be praying to the Lord and being like, oh, Lord,
did you have to do them like that? Because so y'all,
don't worry. Don't worry. Get this book Learn how to
Turn Things Over. If you don't know how to turn
things over hearing the Hurt of Yesterday, go to Amazon
right now. Get this book by Demika Vines, DZ and
(39:08):
David E. As an Elephant, m as in Mary E
as an Elephant, k as in King, a as in Apple,
Damika d E m E.
Speaker 30 (39:19):
K A Vines vas.
Speaker 29 (39:21):
In Victor, I is in ice Cream, n is in,
Nancy is in Elephant, Sison's Camp, v I n e
s Demika Vines Go and get this book, y'all, because
I'm telling you you don't want to have it to
where with all the work that you want to do
in your life and the goodness that you want to
be able to spread to other people's lives. You don't
(39:41):
want nothing and nobody holding you back, especially not none
of this. Don't gonna miss that you've already been through.
No more dragging out the trauma. No more us re
traumatizing ourselves by reliving this stuff and keeping stuff going,
trying to be tipped for Tad and all baby to
turn it over to the one that can put it
(40:01):
into it and get you on the proper track and
keep you there. Now, Miss Vines, what is there that
you have not had a chance to say to the
listeners of Articulation Radio that you would like to leave
them with? The floor is totally yours.
Speaker 30 (40:18):
So what I would say is, you know, you don't
have to believe in the dark. If you're carrying any
hidden wounds from your past, release and give them to
God and allow God to do the inner work, the
inner healing, so that you can move forward into your
purpose and to your call. And there are people that
are waiting on you, you know, so just do the
work and just heal.
Speaker 29 (40:40):
Yes ma'am, Yes, ma'am, And tell them again where they
can go and get your book and where they can
when they can catch you on your TikTok okay.
Speaker 30 (40:50):
So typically I'm on TikTok all the time. No, I'm
just kidding, but I'm up there three or four times
a week, normally Monday through Friday. Sometimes on Saturday and
Sunday I'll do a pop up, but I normally get
on around seven thirty eight o'clock at night, so you
don't want to miss me. I have a group of
subscribers as well as followers that are up there as will.
(41:11):

each other, and we also pour into each other. And

topic for the next seminar will be abandonment, rejection, neglect,
