I talk a little bit about everything. It may be

Binge watching the show on A and E called Airline Wars,
and it is absolutely positively reminding me why I'm okay
with not being a flight attendant anymore. Thanks for the
layoffs you guys appreciate it and the stuff that happens
in these air like I saw a fraction and given

that I wasn't a flight attendant for super long, but
it was for two different airlines, one commercial one charter.
I have a lot of experience and I've seen a
lot of stuff, and it's just crazy to me the
demand and the entitlement of people when it comes to

(01:02):
their flights, and a lot of them don't even understand
a pilot that is their plane. Their whole responsibility is
to get every person, every flight attendant, every worker on
that particular plane safely to the destination.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
That is their whole goal.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
While I was in training for a commercial I remember
our trainer telling us if there's a problem with a
passenger on the ground, they're gonna be a bigger problem
in the air. And that means like, sometimes passengers may
come on a flight and be super pissed off because
their flight was delayed or their seat got changed or

(01:51):
whatever the case is, and they come bringing you that
funky monkey energy.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Well you, as fight crew.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Well you didn't change their seat, you didn't make their
flight delayed, you didn't cancel their other flight. But unfortunately,
you're like the first point of contact once getting onto
the plane. So when people have funky monkey energy and
they want to act all crazy and stuff like that,
you can let your pilot know. Depending if you've got

(02:23):
a good pilot, if you got a really good captain.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
And first mate, then you know you may have some backup.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
There and it typically doesn't get too bad. But I
did have a passenger one time that was very rude
and disrespectful to a passenger that had some physical disabilities,
and it just really it pissed me off as a
human first off, that they were acting this way towards

(02:52):
this complete stranger.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
That they did not know.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
And once we let captain know, Oh, captain took this
passenger outside because they were very overtly disrespectful, using slurs,
just nasty to this passenger that really didn't do anything
to them, and the captain found out about it, took

(03:19):
that passenger off the flight and said, look, you got
two choices. You can respect the other passengers that are
on this flight, or you can wait for the next flight.
And understandably, it was another flight to wear Las Vegas, Nevada.
Flights to Las Vegas always have issues, either going or
coming back. I don't know what it is, people either

(03:41):
getting loaded up for the big trip or people just
hung over and just in a just a pissy way.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
I don't know what it.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Is, but the captain absolutely has the authority to kick
off whoever. And I love that that they empower flight
at tennisy, like you know, let your let your captain know,
you know, especially if you have a good captain, because
sometimes you'll have captains that are very dismissive and don't
even talk to the crew. They may talk to the
lead on that particular trip, especially if they have a

relationship with them and they know them from previous trips,
but if you're new, necessarily they don't know you. They
may not talk to you, and it's nothing that you
can really take personal.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
But that's just the way that it is.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
But you'll get some captains that just no matter who
you are, they welcome you onto the flight because you know,
you guys are a team. So it's just crazy when
people just act a monkey's uncle. I'm looking at this
airline wars and I'm like, oh my God, thank you Lord,
thank the Almighty that I am not working those flights anymore.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I don't at all miss it. No.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Commercial was the worst, God was the absolute worst. I
love working charter, except for the company that I worked
for was crap. They were a terrible, terrible charter company.
And we dealt with mostly the military, which was a
great way for me to feel as though I was
giving back. So I love serving the military in that

avenue and that aspect of it. That was my way
of giving back. But commercial mm mm, it's for the birds.
Commercial flying is for the birds, the birds, birds birds,
cause I don't want it, I absolutely don't. And just
seeing the stuff that these people are going through, like
this is yusual years later and I'm just like, mm,
these people have gotten worse. They were bad when I

was there, but they're worse now, so I do not
at all envy them, and I just hope that everybody's safe.
So it's my little two bid for the day. Yeah,
