"Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive," Sir Walter Scott's narrative poem "Marmion" would seem to be the perfect right now, not? This week’s podcast illustrates how events since Neptune’s July 4 retrograde & Uranus’s entrance into Gemini July 7 suddenly reveal like lightning strikes that lies & conspiracies can prove to be damaging in the end for those who spread them.

Neptune retrograde pulls back the veil on past lies & deceits, exposing the truth, while Uranus in Gemini leads to sudden changes in our perspective & opinions. Take the whole “climate change is a hoax” promoted by fossil fuel & coal companies dependent upon profits to continue to exist rather than take the more progressive & humanitarian route to segueing into clean energy.
And then there’s the QAnon conspiracy begun in 2017—which followed Pizzagate from 2016—which sparked the belief in millions of Americans of a pedophile ring run by the “deep state.” Next we have the conspiracy that the 2020 election was “rigged” by Donald Trump, the man who lost it. Leading even more millions of Americans to believe this lie & to the January 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection by protestor who were conned into believing the U.S. presidential election results were a “hoax.”

But now, we have seen the “deep state” & it’s being run by the very same people who used to be on the outside claiming they would punish those responsible once they were on the inside. However, NE Rx says “not so much—slow your roll, it’s time for some FACTS to emerge now so we may receive true clarity!”

Rumors have begun about the MAGA crowd burning their l’il red caps in disapproval of the U.S. Department of Justice’s--basically run by the White House in direct contrast to the mandated separation of powers in this country—refusal to make public the infamous “Epstein Files.”
All this as we’ve been watching the close transit of Saturn & Neptune in Aries dissolve the foundations upon which the truth actually lies. As this government makes more and more funding cuts to programs necessary for its citizens’ survival like FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency—under the guise that such funds fall under the category of “waste, fraud, & abuse”—more people will likely die as positions remain vacant & climate change continues to wreak havoc.

Hopefully we will be reviewing the situation between Mercury's station retrograde in Leo from late July 17/early July 18 to August 11, which calls us to use our creative inspiration to find ways to create a better future. The Sun then enters fiery creative Leo, the sign it rules, on July 22, reminding us all that individuation—or taking steps to BECOME the true individuals who we came here to be—is of paramount importance now.
By the Leo New Moon--which occurs July 24 at 2-degrees & 8-minutes at 12:11 pm PT & 3:11 p.m. ET--exact opposite Pluto in Aquarius, we’ll be tasked with attempting to empower ourselves by fighting manipulative attempts that continue to try to control us through lies & conspiracy theories.
We’re tasked now with planting seeds to stand up to such manipulations & to use our own creative resources to figure out how to disempower the manipulators rather than allow them to disempower us.

Breakdowns in relationships may occur now, especially with those in positions of power who’ve lied to us. And such breakdowns will likely lead to a change in our perspective & opinion about such people who vowed to protect us from a predator who we may now discover was actually in cahoots with those who claim they can “save” us from them and their ilk.

Join us @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking for all this & more Astro News You Can Use, as we take a deeper dive into the meaning of this upcoming Leo New Moon opposite Pluto, the waxing trine between transiting Uranus & Pluto, & the continuation of the retrograde parade with Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, & Mercury all appearing to swim backward at the same time.
We also explore Mars conjunct the Virgo South Node squared by the asteroid Hygeia, the female goddess of health just as a medical condition from which Donald Trump suffers is revealed. Is it serious? The powers that be say "no," but then again, they've been lying about other stuff, right?
Join us for all this & more starting July 18! See you then! Namaste….

Hello everyone, and welcome to Karmic Evolution's astrologically speaking podcast.
I'm your host, Jerry Horne Hassan of Karmic Evolution Astrology,
and I'm coming to you from the very very hot
day in Central New Jersey on July eighteenth, from Karmic
Evolution dot com or any of your favorite podcast stations.

(01:23):
I say that because wherever you are, I'm hoping it's
not as hot here. It's not that the temperatures actually
that hot. It's more that there are heat advisory warnings, so,
you know, babies and old people, which I'm getting closer
to being every day, we're not supposed to go out
and spend too much time in the heat, if not

(01:46):
the sun, because the heat's there a lot, even if
it's not a really really sunny day. But anyway, my
empathy and compassion goes out to any who are suffering
from similar weather. And weather is a large part of
what we're going to talk about initially here. So first
my usual quick reminder that this podcast aims to bring

(02:07):
you the truth about astrology and your soul's karmic evolution,
and that a new podcast drops every Friday at eleven
am Pacific and to bem Eastern on most major podcast platforms.
So let me just reiterate my mantra or my motto
if you will, as it pertains to my perspective about

(02:31):
the importance of gaining astrological insight or using astrology to
be able to gain insight into our lives and into
the world around us. And this is as follows. The
universe is benign. It has no vested interest in making
any of us suffer. Rather, it provides us with opportunities

(02:52):
every moment of every day to grow in consciousness. It's
simply up to us to recognize such moments. Inherent in
this statement is the concept that life is not faded
and that the universe hasn't decided, say before you.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Were born, you or I were born, that.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Our path would say that our soul would take a
certain path. Now, having said that, it's not that the
path is predetermined, it's that it may have been preconditioned,
and there's a difference between those two. And I think
that's where there is a fundamental difference between some traditional

(03:34):
astrology and more modern astrology and astrologers, and that's that
if we come into this lifetime and experience different things
early in life that may be reminiscent of similar incidences
and events from past lives. Again, you can believe it

(03:56):
either way that you have past lives or that you don't,
but either way that you are emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, physically
conditioned to be a certain way, to believe certain things,
to act certain ways, to make certain choices, and that
these are never faded, because the first key to greater

(04:18):
consciousness is to understanding.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
That we always have a choice.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
It's when we say, yeah, but I can't do that,
because that we know that we've capped our own roof. Right.
So I'm still offering my seventy five minute discounted Karmic
evolution natal insight reading precisely for those who are interested
in finding out from where their conditioned behaviors and patterns

(04:45):
have derived, again, whether it be from early this lifetime,
about which one must may be more cognizant, or from
past life experiences that may lurk in the depths of
the subconscious that need to be brought into greater consciousness.
So again, regardless of your beliefs about reincarnation, what I'm

(05:08):
saying is that a karmic evolution natal insight reading can
help you delve into the energies into which your soul
chose to be born, whether it was here and around
in the past or whether it's incarnated new however many
years ago you were born, and if you are looking

(05:29):
for again to learn to bring into greater consciousness, where
these behaviors and patterns have derived from, and what choices
you can make to change them. As I started to say,
a lot of times we feel we don't have a choice,
and that can be for particular reasons based on our
you know again, our experiences. But the truth of the
matter is the universe it doesn't care you always have

(05:54):
a choice.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
It doesn't. It doesn't.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
It isn't saying no, you're gonna end up here, or
know you have to do this, or know you have
to marry that guy, or know you got to take
this job, or know you have to listen to what
your parents say, or whatever. So in any case, without
belaboring the point again, My seventy five minute discounted Karmic

(06:16):
Evolution Natal Insight reading is available to you for only
one hundred and twenty five dollars. And that's an offer
I make to podcast listeners only.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
So if you are.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Interested, please shoot me an email at Sherry s h E.
Ri I at Karmaicevolution dot com. And if you have
any questions about it, or you know, want more information
or to book a reading, you can contact me there
and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
As I always like to say, growth and consciousness has

(06:47):
never been.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
So easy or so affordable.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Okay, so let's look back first to see how we
got to where we're at now, and then look forward
to what's potentially on the horizon. Astrologically speaking, of course,
it's been two weeks since Neptune Station retrograde in Arias
on July fourth, when the heavens opened up and poured
down on Central Texas, prompting flooding that resulted at this

(07:14):
point in at least one hundred and thirty four deaths,
including that of thirty six children and one hundred and
one people still missing, according to a recent ABC News report.
Now neptune retrogade is due to re enter Pisces on
October twenty second, then station direct again at twenty nine

(07:35):
degrees in twenty two minutes of Pisces on December tenth,
and remain in Pisces while direct again until the God
of the Seas re enters Aries on January twenty seventh
of twenty twenty sixth. So during this early part of
Neptune's retrograde period, we've already seen the veil being pulled

(07:55):
back on several important issues that many have been deceived about,
and the first one which I think I kind of
mentioned last week, So forgive me if some of this
seems redundant. I know I mentioned what I'm gonna say
in a minute, but I won't belabor the point. But
the first issue is climate change and proof of this,
especially since Uranus was at twenty nine degrees of Taurus,

(08:18):
which is the Pleiades point, as I said last week,
representing the seven Weeping Sisters, an indicative of blindness or
where we may have been in the dark previously, seems
to be obvious. At this point, however, Neptune will be
in Aries for most of the duration of its transit
until he enters Taurus circa March twenty fourth of twenty

(08:41):
thirty nine. So remember Mars ruled Aries represents heat. So
it really doesn't take an astrological genius to figure out
the long term potential for increased warming of the seas
and I mean globally here that will lead to a
rise in flooding. In fact, and I'm quoting now, sea

(09:02):
level rise driven by global heating will disrupt the daily
life of millions of Americans as hundreds of homes, schools
and government buildings face frequent and repeated flooding by twenty fifty,
a new study has found. According to The Guardian in
an article published a little over a year ago in
June twenty twenty four. Now, the study, based on research

(09:26):
by the Union of Concerned Scientists, says, quote, floods could
leave coastal communities in states like Florida and California unlivable
in two decades. Further, almost three million people currently live
in the seven hundred and three coastal US communities with
critical infrastructure at risk of monthly disruptive flooding by twenty fifty,

(09:48):
including affordable and subsidized housing wastewater treatment facilities, toxic industrial sites,
power plants, fire stations, schools, kindergarten and hospitals. Meanwhile, according
to the Washington Post, the number of flood events in
twenty twenty five in the US is significantly higher than

(10:09):
the average of previous years, with one thousand, two hundred
and three flood events recorded so far this year, compared
to an average of five hundred and sixty three events
in twenty twenty four. And since July fourth, flooding has
hit not only Texas and led to the aforementioned number
of deaths and missing people, but also the following locations

(10:32):
where some deaths have occurred as well, New Jersey, New York,
including New York City and Upstate New York. We're talking
about this past week, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
In addition, a record number of flash flood warnings issued
by the National Weather Service as of July fifteenth, included

(10:53):
heavy rainfall reported in the mid Atlantic and South Atlantic
states that six plus inches, South central care ansis over
four inches, and Central Nebraska reported seven inches. Now, some
of this has to do with the rapidity of the rain,
as those of US who are up to speed on
the news that came out of Central Texas is that

(11:14):
more rainfall, the amount of rainfall that normally falls in
a month occurred within like an hour or two or
something like that. But even if it was more than
that or one day, having a month's worth of rain
in one day is not normal.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Right.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Globally, there's also Pakistan, which, according to the Associated Press
on July seventeenth, experienced and here I quote heavy monsoon
range that killed at least fifty four people in eastern
Pakistan in twenty four hours, bringing the total rain related
deaths in the country to one hundred and seventy eight.
Over the past three weeks. Officials said rainfall has triggered

(11:49):
flash floods and inundated several villages as the country experiences
eighty two percent more rainfall this month compared to the
same period in July twenty twenty four, where the Pakistan
Meteorological Department said end quote. Meanwhile, either flooding or dryness
and drought have been recorded or predicted in the following

(12:11):
global locations over the past three weeks. Eastern Nigeria, Western
and Northern Cameroons, Southern Chad. They face dryness, flooding in
the wetlands of northern South Sudan. Flooding continues in West
central Nigeria the d r C. I'm sure I don't
remember this. Flooding in Kinshasa in the d r C.

(12:32):
The Omojibe River has overflown inundating districts bordering the Lake.
Turkana and southwestern Ethiopia. Northern Guinea, Kanakri, coastal Liberia, Cota Ivory,
Ghana and Western Ethiopia pardon me for my mispronunciations face
high flooding risks during the next week. Sierra Leone, Liberia,

(12:54):
Eastern Guinea, Kanakri, and southern Mali face dryness in West Africa,
whereas South Suit, Southern Sudan, northeastern DRC, and northwestern Uganda
experienced dryness. In Eastern Africa, Northwestern Ethiopia faces dryness due
to below average rainfalls since the beginning of June. Western Sahara,
northwestern Mauritania, Western Morocco and areas of eastern Ethiopia are

(13:19):
likely to experience hot conditions during the next week, and
southwestern South Africa faces localized flooding during the next week.
Now I realized that these you know, we're not talking
Europe or some of the western countries, but we all
know that places like Sudan and others are where the

(13:39):
climate is changing because these are either African nations or
Northern African, you know, or Eastern So just keep that
in mind, because it's not just happening here in the
United States. And that's my point, all right. So hopefully
the powers that be will begin to wipe away the
webs of confusion and deceit to recognize now that climate

(13:59):
change is real and that most of it is man made,
as humans continue to wound Mother Earth by abusing her
resources and continue to ballute through the use of.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Coal and fossil fuels.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
And while we're on the subject of Mother Nature, let's
turn to Uryinus's recent ingress into Mercury ruled Gemini on
July seventh. Many astrologers believe that Urinus is what they
call the higher octave of mercury, meaning capable of advanced
thinking capabilities. But on a more mundane level, Uranus is

(14:30):
known as electrical conduction in the brain that leads to
a revelatory aha moment. Mercury is also transportation and communication,
and geminis the conduction of information or informative and insightful thoughts,
So you get the synthesis I'm drawing here. A negative
manifestation of Uranus and Gemini, however, might be something like

(14:54):
a lightning strike, especially when that strike happens in a
local area and cause his harm. So it's interesting to
note the several related events that included the deaths of
three people who were struck by lightning this week. The
first happened in southeastern Georgia on July tenth, when two
teens were killed while fishing. According to officials, the cause

(15:16):
of death is reportedly from being struck by lightning. The teens,
eighteen year old Joey Nelson a nineteen year old Randall
Martin the third, were fishing in a pond in an
open field in Wheresboro, Georgia, on July tenth, when they
were struck by lightning. According to the National Lightning Safety Council,
did you even know there was such a thing? Did I?

(15:37):
The teens were standing outside their car near a body
of water when a lightning bolt struck them, according to
Fox five Atlanta News. The second lightning event took place
at a Jackson Township, New Jersey, archery range where quote
Gene Grotsky, a volunteer an instructor at the range, set
Over a dozen children were at the range with their

(15:58):
parents for a competition, and there was no sight of
a storm or rain. When the lightning strike happened, Uranus
is unexpected and sudden right quote. The earth exploded, dirt
went flying everywhere, and when I turned around, there was
at least seven people down on the ground flat.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
He said.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Gordzitski said he ran to get a defibrillator, then performed
CPR on a club member named Robert Montgomery. Unfortunately, the
sixty one year old man died from his injuries. Jackson
Township police say fourteen other people were hurt and taken
to local hospitals for treatment, and the youngest victim was
seven years old.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
End quote.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Now, I'm not saying that lightning strikes only happen when
Eurynus is in Gemini. What I am pointing out, however,
is that more attention during Neptune's retrograde period is likely
to be given to these natural events and disasters liked
flooding and drought and lightning strikes. Due to climate change.
Over the next fourteen years, and that no astrological event

(16:57):
or energy ever exists in a vacuum from others. So
it pays to note that Jupiter now in cancer, and
I mentioned this last week too, I believe has expanded
our awareness of the need to better protect our children
from thin things.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
Like natural disasters.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
This leads me also to remind everyone that Jupiter is
in cancer until he changes signs on June thirtieth of
next year, twenty twenty six, and that this Moon ruled
sign represents children, family, roots, and security, while Saturn and
Neptune currently retrograde in Mars ruled ares, which represents fire,

(17:35):
among other things, heat and fire. There is unlikely will
continue to be an expansion of concern about children during
this next year. Now, Jupiter is, of course, as I've
mentioned many times before, connected to immigration, so the rounding
up of not only adults but children for deportation has
been expedited since the July fourth Big Ugly Bill was

(17:57):
signed into law by the US Congress and gave Ice
all the funds it needs to continue the Trump administrations
directive to arrest and deport three thousand people a day,
that's their quota who look or sound like they might
not have been born here aka without proof. There's plenty

(18:18):
to read about this elsewhere, so I won't belabor it
except to say that there's this situation imperiling not only
children but adults, as well as the recent July tenth
Capricorn full moon square to series, which has to do
with literal food and sustenance. The message then was to
release any tendency to selfishly think only of our own

(18:41):
while disregarding the starvation and life threatening situation of others,
such as children in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan and other war
torn areas. However, also now beginning to be recognized early
in Neptune retrogrades five month backward swim is how this
review is already piercing the veil of our previous illusions.

(19:06):
The planet Neptune represents many things on the high archetypal side,
its art, music, dance, poetry, spirituality, and all forms of
creative expression that help create catharsis or an emotional bond
with its audience. On the lower vibrational level, however, Neptune

(19:26):
represents lies and deceits caused by our own confused illusions, fantasies,
and ungrounded wishful or delusional thinking when we want to
believe so badly that we ignore science, ignore facts, and
instead project our need for clarity onto those most prone
to deceive us. That is the shadow side of Neptune.

(19:50):
There is no blame here. Rather, it's simply a case
as Neptune continues his watery journey backward of fool me once,
shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Or
so it would seem here in the United States within
the right wing Trump idolizing maga portion of American citizenry,
what curtain has been pulled back for them since July fourth,

(20:13):
What glimmers of the truth are they beginning to perceive?
And on a personal level, where might we all relate,
whether that's related to politics or just our personal lives.
And what sparked this potential awakening from their delusional idolization
of a preserve of a perceived savior. Nothing less than

(20:34):
the q and On conspiracy theories that gripped a portion
of the American population starting in twenty seventeen. As per
Wikipedia and here I quote, q Andon is a far
right American political conspiracy theory and political movement that originated
in twenty seventeen. Q Andon centers on fabricated claims made

(20:55):
by an anonymous individual or individuals known as QoS. Claims
have been relayed and developed by online communities and influencers.
Their core belief is that a cabal of satonic, cannibalistic
child molesters in league with the Deep State is operating
a global child's sex trafficking ring, and that Donald Trump

(21:18):
is secretly leading the fight against them. Q andon has
roots in Pizzagate, another conspiracy theory that appeared on the
internet one year earlier, excuse me, but also incorporates elements
of many different conspiracy theories and unifies them into a larger,
interconnected theory. Q and N has been described as a cult.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
End quote.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
So I'll point out that one year earlier, in twenty sixteen,
was when we began to experience the waning square of
Saturn and Sagittarius to Neptune and Pisces. This was during
the period leading up to the election. That square perfected
and by in September and October of twenty sixteen, so

(22:03):
just a month or two before the presidential election when
Donald Trump became president for the first time. And it's
an astrological energy affiliated with the rise of fascism in
Nazi Germany in the nineteen thirties. So, given that this
is what we've been seeing during Trump's second presidential term
as a continuation of what he couldn't fully achieve during

(22:26):
his first term, there's a strong correlation now as Saturn
and Neptune approached their exact conjunction in areas Yeah and
February of twenty twenty six. So the question becomes, will
the disappointment of those who fall in prey to such
conspiracy theories, especially now as they relate to Jeffrey Epstein's

(22:48):
child sex ring, the potential existence of his contact lists
of important people, and the questioned circumstances around his death
in prison. Will these people begin to see more clearly,
especially when Neptune re enters Pisces in October. It occurred
to me too after I wrote this, that it's possible

(23:11):
that delusion may arise again when Neptune is in Pisces,
but the retrograde period tells us it's more likely to
be a review of what you used to believe and
are now being awakened to the fact that what you
used to believe may not actually factually be true. And meanwhile,

(23:32):
since Saturn station retrograde in Areas on July twelfth or thirteenth,
depending on your time zone, he too will re enter
Pisces only a little earlier, on September tewod Will this
allow us to review the judgments we've made, perhaps for
some based on cult thinking and conspiracy theories, and through
increased awareness of others fabricated lies and deceits, so that

(23:56):
we don't get fooled again. In other words, Saturn is
is is connected archetypally with foundation. Right, if the foundation
of your belief system is based on cult thinking and
conspiracy theories, then can Saturn's retrograde again be between areas
and Pisces bring us back to the point where we go,

(24:18):
Wait a minute, huh? That's that conspiracy theory was built
on shifting sands and tide pulls and quicksand there wasn't
really a stable foundation something I need to carry forward
into the future make my life better?

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Right?

Speaker 2 (24:37):
And will we begin to be able to rely on
our inherent foundational intuitional sense of moral right and wrong
and of the difference between fact and fiction. As Saturn
moves back into Pisces, the sign of fluid boundaries until
February fourteenth of twenty twenty six.

Speaker 4 (24:55):
And this brings us.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
First to the fact that both Saturn and Neptune have
now joined Pluto retrograde and Aquarius as the god of
the underworld of all things that lie hidden in the
shadows of our unconscious realm or the unconscious portion of
our psyches to review our states of disempowerment until Pluto's
stations direct again on October fourteenth. Might Pluto's station direct

(25:20):
prior to the November fourth US election day, though it's
not the midterm elections yet the year before, bring empowerment
to the groups of marginalized people via the votes of
those of us who care about them and their right
to do process under the law. It's during the period

(25:40):
when Saturn and Neptune retrograde into Pisces that groups of
people may well learn proof of the deceits perpetrated against
them and wake up to the reality that they've been duped. Actually,
that was a question. It is supposed to be. Is
it during the period when Saturn and Neptune retrograde back
into Pisces that groups of people may well learn proof

(26:03):
of the deceits perpetrated against them and wake up to
the reality that they've.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Been duped, and if so, what will be the result.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Obviously, there's you know, a lot of a lot in
the news right now about the MAGA coalition of Trump's
base quote unquote being dissatisfied with you know, the recent
circumstances around the DOJ, Trump's DOJ and Pamela Bondi denying
that there was a client list of Epstein. I'm not
going to go into those details because again they're all.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
Over the news.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
But the important part of this that may result, and
something I want to point out is whether or not
these people realize that they've been duped. Does Donald Trump care? Okay,
because the question is is he dis associating himself from

(26:54):
the previous group that got him elected and will then
have an effect on the elections in twenty twenty six
or not.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
I don't have any proof.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
And you know, I'm talking about the US Pluto return
energies that where maybe about a third of the way
through as a recurrence of the energies from seventeen seventy
five to seventeen eighty nine. That the risk is that
either things will be so gerrymandered by twenty twenty six

(27:28):
in the legislatures across the country, that the outcome already
might be changed because, of course, Trump has planted seeds
to run a third time in twenty twenty eight. We'll
get into that another time, but I just want to
mention it. Okay, So people waking up to reality that

(27:49):
they've been lied to, when Trump doesn't give a damn
and is going to go and do whatever he wants
anyway because he thinks he's a king, is that going
to cause those people of eventually to move towards other
groups of people who already understand the disempowerment that's been
affected by Trump and his administration's policies, and therefore lead

(28:11):
the former group of formerly deceived people to join them,
thus strengthening their power against being disempowered by the Trump administration.
I have no idea, but you know, their safety in numbers,
That's all I can say, all right. So the more
immediate answer to the question I posed about people waking

(28:37):
up and realizing they've been duped may come in the
short term retrograde of Mercury and Leo, which began late
last night on July seventeenth, or early today July eighteenth,
depending on your time zone. Now, this fire retrograde cycle,
which I discussed last week, asks us to get into

(28:57):
better touch with our creative inspiration so that so that
it can provide us the ability to enact future change.
And that's something I got from younger and astrologer Aaron
Sullivan again, as I mentioned last week. Now, given Neptune's
retrograde in particular, since it's the planet of fantastical thinking,

(29:18):
this mercury retrograde and fiery creative leo until August eleventh
marks the time between now and the sun mercury retrograde
inferior conjunction on July thirty first, when the messenger God
suspends our right brain logical, empirically oriented, rational senses. And
that's because metaphorically speaking, Mercury, the only god in Greek

(29:43):
mythology who could do so, descends from our earthly life
down into the recesses of our unconscious Now or Mercury, well,
I'll just continue it explains, as young and astrologer Aaron
Sullivan wrote in her book Retrograde Planets Traversing the Inner
Landscape about the mercury retrograde cycle in general, quote. The

(30:07):
Epimethean retrograde phase is the initial stage of the journey,
and our reference points are unfamiliar. It is the dissent phase,
the early cycle of reflection. Essentially, the beginning of the
retrograde phase, is marked by an abrupt departure from the
common day experience and is frequently disorienting. There is a

(30:31):
tendency to reject the signals that indicate that one would
be best suited by ceasing forced activity and reflecting upon
it instead, Sullivan notes, inherent in this is, of course,
and these are my words most astrologer's warnings. Not to
start anything new, to launch a business, sign any contracts,

(30:51):
publish a book, take a new job, etc. During Mercury retrograde.
But there's more, which is based on the notion in
Greek mythology that Mercury was not only the only god
capable of entering the underworld a synonym or metaphor for
the realm of our unconscious, but also the only one
able to transport himself back up to Earth and then

(31:14):
further up into the heavenly realm of the gods and
goddesses on Mount Olympus. Quote flowing with this brief journey
into the unconscious and allowing its messages to surface in
the form of symbols, images, and signals heightens intuitive powers,
resulting in greater freedom of choice, Sullivan explains. Ideally, She continues,

(31:38):
this should be the time when a concerted effort is
made to engage in reflection and review. A form of
loosening is taking place, a solution to a stuck situation
which disengages us from what was in order to prepare
I'm sorry, disengages one from what was in order to

(31:59):
prepare one for what will be. What is, Sullivan concludes,
remains to be seen.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
End quote.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Now, I'd recommend keeping this in mind as you check
where Mercury is currently transmitting and retrograding between fifteen degrees
and thirty four minutes back to four degrees and twenty
one minutes of LEO in your chart now until August eleventh,
when Mercury station is direct again. In next week's podcast,
I'll outline more about how this period will lead to

(32:31):
the inferior conjunction on July thirty first, and what that
conjunction entails so we can all make sense of it
on a step by step basis. Now, hopefully that sounds
good to everyone. Also affecting all of this right now
is Uranus's recent entry again into Gemini for the next
seven years except for the god of revelatory changes brief

(32:54):
retrograde back into Taurus from October through April of twenty
twenty six. Nowness, as always, portends many changes. I spoke
about this last week and in the Mercury ruled mutable.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
Sign of Gemini.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
These changes will likely vastly affect not only communication but
how it's transmitted electronically. Again, I spoke about that last week.
Aside from this, though, Uranus in Gemini also tells us
that changes are coming in the realm of early childhood learning,
meaning schooling, particularly for young people. On a literal level,

(33:29):
let's note that the Supreme Court in the US just
allowed the Trump administration to begin to dismantle the Department
of Education on July fourteenth. Now I may have said
this next last week. I don't remember, but the federal
Department of Education does not set curriculum for the schools
in individual states. That has always been left up to

(33:50):
the states. Rather, it protects students from discrimination based on race, gender, etc. Culture,
you know, background, whatever, religion. But it also provides funding
for disabled children, children with learning disabilities to put them

(34:12):
on an equal footing with other children in the public
school system throughout the country. And it funds a lot
of things like after school programs as well as I do.
It's the DOE that funds SNAP, but you know, it
makes possible the some of the funds for after school
care providers those employees and things like that. So, as

(34:36):
per NPR News quotes, the Supreme Court says Trump's efforts
to close the Education Department can continue by ruling on
July fourteenth that would allow to allow the Trump administration
to resume dismantling the US Department of Education. The Court
stayed a preliminary injunction issued in May by a federal

(34:58):
judge in Massachusetts. That injunction had directed the administration to
stop gutting the department and to reinstate many of the
nearly fourteen hundred workers the government had laid off. However,
when we extrapolate beyond the astrological cliche of early childhood learning,
we better understand that Gemini really represents elementary learning ergo

(35:21):
Uranus and Gemini represents our ability as adults to learn
or relearn things by starting with the elementary basics and
building from there. Since Gemini represents youth, we adults must acknowledge,
especially during the Saturn and Neptune retrograde periods, that what
we were taught, told, forced or duped into believing by

(35:42):
authority figures, be they parents, teachers, clerics, cult leaders, presidents
and other politicians, the government, et cetera, simply doesn't add
up to the conclusion.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
They've drawn for us.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
And then what does Pluto and Aquarius get us to
understand that what we were deceived into thinking is true
but is not has actually been the foundational cause of
our dis empowerment. Take the twenty twenty four US presidential election,
for example, when many people elected the person they thought
was best for the economy, the one who to bring

(36:17):
back jobs to America, who'd lower grocery and gas prices,
who'd make America great again by revealing and exposing to
the light of day those in charge of the QAnon
conceived pedophile rings who represent the deep state. If nothing else,
with this particular retrograde season, combined with Uranus newly in Gemini,

(36:38):
play out a lot like the Walt Kelly cartoon character
from the nineteen fifties Pogo, who, when observing the destruction
of nature's beauty around him, experiences this revelation, we have
met the enemy and he is us. The fact is,
and you've heard this from many other astrologers starting months ago,

(37:00):
be nothing new that change is indeed coming, and it's unquestionable,
as the three major outer planets of Pluto, Neeptine, and
Urinus have now all changed signs. What's still questionable, however,
is whether these changes will be positive or negative for
humanity as a whole. And as we contemplate that, let's

(37:21):
all acknowledge our own participation in our own deceit, as
we vow not to get fooled again. Let's recognize also
that change occurs when change has been resisted for too long.
Is that that is what is at the heart of
the nature and meaning of the planet Uranus. Where we
have we ignored climate change for too long, and where

(37:44):
despite attempts on the global international level to stop this
from decimating what's left of our forests and our groundwater,
our oceans, mountains, and fertile lands, have we failed. As
attempts are made to roll back advances in the these
areas or advance has already made in these areas, such
as swipping, switching from fossil fuels, and moving away from

(38:07):
dirty coal that destroys both nature and human lives through pollution.
Cleaner electric winded solar energy will These attempts reveal how
important it is to move toward the future rather than
staying stuck in the past. Where have we believed leaders
who we didn't know at the time were deceiving us?
Especially since Uranus and Gemini portends a change in how

(38:30):
we perceive events and people around us, which in turn
changes our perspective and ultimately our opinions, there may well
be disruption or disconnect, which happens when the electrical conduction
of Uranus is somehow impeded, in this case through truth
beginning to seep through the lies during the Pluto, Saturn

(38:55):
and Neptune retrogrades and the shorter term Mercury retro grade period.
So the Epstein files case is just one example of this.
Along with Mercury's station retrograde. We hit the third quarter
crisis and consciousness Cardinals square of the Arias moon to
the cancer Sun on July seventeenth, and we can see

(39:16):
how anger aries moon is fueling tension between the people,
which is what the moon represents in mundane astrology, and
their leader, which is the Sun, who's concerned more with
himself than anyone else, despite his remarks to the contrary,
when the cancer Sun squares wounded healer Chirn in aries

(39:37):
July nineteen, we're likely to hear more about how Trump's policies,
like those passed recently through his compliant GOP majority Congress,
will wound greater and greater numbers of people as more
and more time goes by. The Sun then enters Leo,
the sign of its rulership, and sextiles Uranus and Gemini

(39:58):
on July twenty second. Sex tells are opportunities, but since
the universe doesn't take sides, these can be opportunities for
further disruptions to communication, travel, young people, educational institutions, and
the like, or solutions to some of the problems inherent
in these realms currently. It also marks the beginning of

(40:22):
the Urinus Pluto period from now as they get closer
to an exact trine Between now through May twenty twenty nine.
Though Urinus hovers close to an exact trime to Pluto,
it won't occur exact for a while, and that will

(40:42):
be after Uranus retrogrades the dates which are already given
you into early I'm sorry into I think it's April
of twenty twenty six, so it's a ways off yet,
and this means that its energies will be felt similar
to that of the near conjunction of Saturn to Neptune
and area, though those two won't exact conjoin until early

(41:03):
next year in February.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
Now.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
A trine, known in astrology as an easy energy, can
work both ways. Given that Pluton Aquarius is about the
potential for both empowerment and disempowerment of groups, and Uranus
and Gemini about changes in the areas mentioned above, this
trine's energy might lead to further disempowerment of groups of people. Alternatively,

(41:30):
it might do the opposite and cause greater empowerment for
them or result in greater empowerment for them. Either one
may occur, especially in the areas related to Mercury's Gemini youth, education,
travel and transportation, as in say, the movement of goods
and the tariffs that might impede.

Speaker 4 (41:49):
Such movement of goods.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Immigration same the media, as the Senate just passed its
version of the already past House bill rescinding being already
congressionally approved federal funding for PBS and NPR news stations.
And the sudden movement of people due to disruptions such
as those caused by weather and climate change disasters. As always,

(42:15):
we shall see. But what's clear is that easy does
not always mean positive, as that is in the eye
of the beholder. And here or one's perspective. And here's
another thought about the uriness Pluto trine related to US politics,
and that's that Uranus in mundane astrology relates I'm sorry,
rules the natural eleventh house, and this is considered the

(42:39):
house of the legislature. As Uranus transits through Gemini, local
changes may take place, such as gerrymandered or redistricted local
voting areas. However, Pluto, the sign of disempowerment versus empowerment,
is transiting through the sign ruled by Urinus. So it's about,
among other things, the potential for both dis empowerment and

(43:03):
empowerment of local people through sudden legislative changes affecting their
ability to vote. Since this is going on right now
in Texas, as the state legislature called back into session
for Monday on July twenty first, by Texas Governor Abbott
will not only take up the recent flooding affecting their state,

(43:24):
but also the topic of voting to read district in
order to turn five local districts into majority Republican ones,
the purpose to gain more House seats in the twenty
twenty sixth election. Meanwhile, in response, California is considering forcing
changes or the California Legislature is considering forcing changes to

(43:46):
their local districts that could see seven that seven of
them move from GOP majority to democratically dominated, thus counteracting
Texas's move in the House of Representatives. If this seems
like a logistical game of chess, my guess is probably

(44:06):
going to turn out more like a game of simple checkers,
but we'll see. The point, however, is that local legislative
districts uranuscent Gemini will move one way or another, change
to empower one group or another and disempower the other.

Speaker 4 (44:24):
This may be a back and.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
Forth game played over the long term between now and
the November twenty twenty six mid term elections, So stay tuned.
And this all leads us to the Leo New Moon
which finds both luminaries at two degrees and eight minutes of.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
This proud fiery sign.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
And both exact opposite Pluto and Aquarius on July twenty fourth,
at twelve eleven pm Pacific and three eleven pm Eastern.
So what do we know about this lunation's potential effects?
While in Washington, d C. This Leo new moon lands
in the natural Jupiter ruled ninth house of Law, higher Education, Immigration, media,

(45:05):
and Religion, opposing Pluto in the third house of elementary education, communication,
local neighborhoods, transportation, and businesses, as well of course, as
siblings and other near relatives. So Leo's highest archetypal energies
manifest as creativity and pride in family, particularly in children,

(45:28):
as well as in the areas of romance, sports, risk taking,
and speculation, often referred to as gambling. Because Leo often
feels lucky, so fixed Leo energy can seem lucky because
of its unshakable confidence and willingness to take a risk.
Because the Sun rules Leo, it's a sign of our ego, identity,

(45:52):
our persona, and in our unique creative sense of self.
On its face, Leo Energy is proud of itself, but
not overly proud. It's proud of its children, family and friends,
and often magnanimous in its generosity to those that considers worthy.
In short, it's a sign that can recognize its own

(46:12):
self worth because it knows that, no matter to which
group it may belong, its uniqueness can be replaced by
no other. Think of the line, be yourself everyone else
has taken, and you'll get what Leo stands for in
its highest form. So when the Leo archetype is opposed
to Aquarius, and here it's opposed to Pluto and Aquarius,

(46:35):
we have the individual self at odds with a group
or groups. And given that Uranus rules aquariness as well
as eleventh house in the natural chart, we might posit
that the group as at this particular point in time
here in America again is legislature. So while the sun
is our ego persona or our personality destined to be

(46:58):
unique from that of others, the moon is our emotions.
In Leo, the moon feels special, not necessarily in a
negative way, but in a way that reminds one about
one's own uniqueness in terms of the creative gifts it
has to.

Speaker 4 (47:13):
Offer the group.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
The le Moon may want to be noticed, but it
can settle for being praised by what it does for
the group within the group and part of the group,
rather than only as a group's leader. And Pluto represents
the need for change through the evolutionary process, the slowest

(47:35):
moving outer planet, and yes, as many know, astrologers still
consider Pluto a major planetary influence, regardless of the astronomers
saying it's a dwarf planet now since two thousand and six.
It represents the stages of annihilation, death, transformation, and rebirth.
These stages are often likened to the alchemical process that

(47:58):
during medieval times people represented through the attempt to change
literal lead into literal gold. What primitive society didn't get
then is that they were bringing into greater consciousness a
metaphorical process or a metaphorical concept that, in modern astrology terms,

(48:20):
has translated into an evolution that allows one thing to
become ultimately over time another. You often see the butterfly
the caterpillar metamorphing into the butterfly as an example of
plutonic energy, and so, as I point out nearly every podcast,

(48:42):
plutonic transformation does not happen overnight sudden shifts are far
more the realm of uranium or martial energies. Pluto takes
its time raising an issue, be it through relationship, career, health,
or whatever, into finances into greater consciousness by focusing our
attention in that direction. What's interesting now is that it's despositor.

(49:06):
The term used to identify the planet that rules the
sign through which it's currently transferring in which I already
mentioned is Uranus. And that's because Pluto is transfitting through Aquarius,
and Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. So change is coming
to the realms of Uranian consideration, which means friends, groups
and future progress for humanitarian purposes as part of our

(49:28):
hopes and dreams for the future. But Uranus, by virtue
of ruling the natural eleventh houses i mentioned a couple
of times now, is also concerned with groups in the
sense that they comprise our community or our tribe.

Speaker 4 (49:46):
Any group of.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
People with whom we identify feel at home and relaxed
enough with to let down our hair and be who
we really are fall into this category.

Speaker 4 (49:57):
All right.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
So now back to the Leo new moon. Since both
luminaries oppose Pluto, now we can see the oppositional forces
at work. Remember, Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, is also
a planetory archetype of empowerment at its highest vibration. At
its lowest, it's the disempowering fear that keeps us from
becoming our most individual, individuated selves by separating ourselves from

(50:22):
the group. So while Pluto's transit through Aquarius can represent
a higher number, a number I'm sorry of things, among
them changes that disempower or empower groups, changes to technology
the legislature, and changes to who we consider our community or.

Speaker 4 (50:40):
Tribe to be, among others.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
The latter becomes particularly relevant now because Uranus has just
changed signs by moving into Mercury rule Gemini. So, aside
from communication, Gemini represents all those archetypes mentioned earlier, and
as it begins to approach that trine that I mentioned before,

(51:03):
which won't actually exact until Urnus finishes its retrograde period,
you know which, which again I think I said, I
think it misquoted from September fifth or sixth, depending on
your time zone, to February third of twenty twenty six,
and until after it conjoins when retrograde to the twenty

(51:23):
nine Taurus pleiades point from November seventh through early December,
and twenty seven Urinus within a degree from the fixed
star Algohol when he stations direct, which I mentioned last
week at twenty seven twenty seven Tourus on February third
of twenty twenty six. So, as we discussed last week,
sudden unexpected changes to how we communicate relates to how

(51:47):
we form our perceptions and opinions are most definitely in
the cards for the future. So what we're looking at now, however,
at this Leo new moon which kicks off this month's
planetary seed planting energies, is how to maint our individuality
at a time when we may be forced to acquiesce,
read become swallowed up or disempowered by the greater evolutionary

(52:10):
forces of the group.

Speaker 4 (52:12):
And these are two.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
Energies which are at odds with each other. How can
we each maintain our individuality, our own unique contribution to
ourselves and our families by not becoming sheeple, too ignorant
or afraid of standing.

Speaker 4 (52:30):
Up against the group.

Speaker 2 (52:33):
And that is going to be the theme as we
attempt to keep the United States here from falling into autocracy.

Speaker 4 (52:41):
And you know, i'd heard the word.

Speaker 2 (52:45):
No, I can't pronounce it. Hold on, okay, it's cacistocracy.
I always trip over that word, and i'd seen it
because you know, I've seen an autocracy and oligarchy and
plutocracy and stuff like that, but I didn't know what
cacistocracy meant. And it is actually the definition is actually

(53:06):
government run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous people.
And so having learned that recently, it occurs to me
that this is exactly where we are headed in this
country since the inauguration of Donald Trump on January twentieth. Now,

(53:26):
let me mention one other thing before I say farewell
for this week, and that's something I mentioned last week.
But also at this Leo new moon, which takes us
really through the It occurs on January I'm sorry, July
twenty fourth, and the sun will exact the moon exact

(53:50):
opposes Pluto right after the new moon occurs, within the hour,
and then several hours later, the exact opposes Pluto between
eleven thirty three pm on July twenty fourth and two
thirty three am on July twenty fifth, So it takes

(54:10):
us through till next week when I will meet you again.
But what's inherent now also is this Hyjiya square to
the transiting.

Speaker 4 (54:23):
Nodal axis that I mentioned.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
And Hyjia, of course is the goddess, female goddess, asteroid
of health and healing, and she's square to the axis,
forming a mutable square. She's also forming a square to Mars,
which is conjoined to the south node right now in Virgo.

Speaker 4 (54:43):
So we spoke.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
About Mars and Virgo a while back, and it's conjunction
to I think last week to Virgo south node in
that you know, there's an element of society, particularly those
in our Congress in the United States, that is austere.
They want austerity, right, all this stuff, this big ugly
bill has come about because of the not the Tea

(55:07):
Party but whatever they call the Freedom Caucus, whatever they
call themselves now and the balancing of the budget and YadA, YadA.
And so it's okay, if we take billions or nine
hundred and fifty you know, billion from Medicaid and cut
down who can be eligible for the Affordable Care Act
coverage and you know, all this stuff again that is
easy to find if you simply google it. It's not

(55:28):
like you know I've mentioned before, it's too difficult to
go into every single story, even if it's related to
archetypes astrological archetypes right now, because there's just so much
of it that you end up going down a rabbit hole. However,
I'll stop my babbling in just a moment by saying
that it was just reported, and this is I'm coming

(55:49):
to you on Friday, but I'm recording this on Thursday,
and this is out of Newsweek from July seventeenth, the
headline white House addresses speculation about Trump's physical appearance. During
Thursday's press briefing, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt addressed
speculation about President Donald Trump's physical appearance. Levitt addressed quote

(56:12):
recent photos of the President have shown minor bruising on
the back of his hand, as well as mild swelling
in his lower legs, and she explained that Trump had
noticed this swelling and was evaluated by the White House
Medical Unit, which found quote no evidence of deep vein
thrombosness or arterial disease. Instead, Doctor's determinity has chronic venous

(56:37):
insufficiency or CVII, or blood pulling in his veins, a
condition Levitt described as common among individuals over the age
of seventy. Let's bear in mind he just had his
seventy ninth birthday. She added that Trump was not experiencing
any discomfort related to the condition and that it was
consistent with Oh the bruises on his hand were consistent

(56:59):
with the irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin.
She concluded by stating, quote, the President remains in excellent health.
Now I haven't had time to google this, and some
of you may want to take five minutes, but the
blood flow from what I did read elsewhere, is impeded
from the lower legs, right, and so I don't know

(57:21):
if that's related to the potential for blood clots.

Speaker 4 (57:23):
It doesn't seem like it's a major thing.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
However, it just leads me to, you know, with all
of the things that he said recently, that makes zero sense,
like that Biden appointed Jerome Powell to the head of
the Federal Reserve, when in fact it was Trump who
appointed him during his first administration and Biden who allowed
him to remain there during his administration. Because early in

(57:49):
twenty twenty one, we were still dealing with the COVID
nineteen pandemic and he didn't want to change anything.

Speaker 4 (57:56):
Rock the boat, right.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
But Trump seems not to be aware that he actually
appointed there, And that's just one of many, many different things. Anyway,
I wonder if it has.

Speaker 4 (58:06):
To do with his dementia. That's my point. So stay tuned.

Speaker 2 (58:10):
I'll probably research it and it'll probably be like, you know,
something that everybody's forgotten about by next week. But hey,
you never know, all right. So thanks everyone for joining
me today. I hope you found the information presented here
helpful as you continue your karmic evolution in this lifetime.
Please be sure to join me next week on July
twenty fifth, for another episode of Karmic Evolution's Astrologically Speaking podcast.

(58:35):
Until then, may your soul's journey be filled with karmic
healing and the joy of greater consciousness.

Speaker 4 (58:42):
Now mus day.

Speaker 1 (58:43):
Long a God before this day is confusion? Did be again?

Speaker 4 (58:53):

Speaker 1 (58:55):
Did we go wander?

Speaker 3 (59:01):
Distance was no barrier, and time it had no hole.
Free to come.

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
