(00:21):
Hello, and welcome to Attackers ofOpportunity. This is your DM Michael.
I'm sitting around a virtual table withsome of my friends and we're about to
place some d D. So,if Gerard is working to rebuild everything from
scratch again, what is it thathe needs this time around, since we've
destroyed some of his original artifacts,Well, he had four of them,

(00:44):
so he had to replace his spellmantel. It seemed to be an artifact
that protected him from the harmful hearts, oh, the magical energies that he
would be harnessing for his rituals. So he needs to recreate his magical protection
artifacts. Yes, you have anyidea of how long that would take?
Well, if we assume the levelof magical proficiency that he told us he

(01:04):
had, it would easily take hima year, perhaps to year. If
we assume that he did not revealall of his cars, probably less than
a year, perhaps much less ayear, a bit more time than the
rest of us thought, right, right, Yes, what's on his list?
So that we can stop it?I must admit I was not given
the inventory of all of the itemsthat he needed to create it, so

(01:26):
I imagine it's it's a great dealof ritual practice. It is a material
to create the spell mantle itself thathe has to obtain. Now grated he
would have the based on the informationthat he gave to the Council of Cinisma,
he would have not quite the fullparticipation of the Council of Cinisma that
would get him all of the materialsthat could that he could possibly need.

(01:49):
So it's much more an element oftime to gather than the scarcity of which
you'd be able to, you know, I mean, unless you were able
to, you know, kill everyblack dragon in the world or something and
burn their bodies to the point wherenew part of their scales would be useful.
Again, I mean, unless youdo something like that, I doubt
you could stop it. I see, so he needs black dragons. Yes,

(02:12):
what I mean? I was askedto obtain information on where black dragons
were. That's how I know thatpiece. I don't know beyond that,
where are his eyes? Ghost? His eyes go over to maybe and goes
I know where one is? Andwas that the one that you shared with
the whole crew or you just learnedabout it? No, it was in
my report, all right, talkWell, I mean it's a friend of

(02:32):
yours. Are you sure you wantme to say kind of ours? Is
a black moonbeam? I wish?Oh? No, she's already a dragon.
She's like a wither. You've seenme. Have you talked with your
older brother of late, the oneyou call you you treat sort of like
a brother. You're not deadly related. We all talked to him recently.
Why, I mean, it's notmy secret. Are you saying that you

(02:53):
don't know? Oh, you don'tknow. I'm stuck on, older brother?
Hold on, you met him?Well? Talk about letter? Oh
your older brother, prince? What'sthis next level of I don't fucking know.
You're just sitting on with such joy. Reminder, I have the class
here. Yes, Captain black Face, the first former first officer, your

(03:15):
father Cadence of Water and then hangsout with a total dragon. Yes,
okay, I mean I mean heliterally has a black, faint slashed husk
coming out of his full orchish mouth, you know, libly not piece it
together. A lot of people havelittle fads like that. I mean,
if I had a gold tooth,or do you think I was a gold
dragon? Come on, no,no, that's the other family in six

(03:36):
I knew it. I mean,I think we all knew that. So
you're saying Gerard is going after him, it would be perhaps one of the
Black Dragons that he would go after. Yes, and the eye on my
understanding is that they don't need thescales till later on in the process.
But he would have to turn.I just can't cut a piece off of
him and have that turned a scale. I would imagine that if they killed

(03:57):
him, that his body would revertto that of a black dragon. They
could harvest anything they'd needed. Let'smentioned the surprise that some of his crew
members would no doubt fear while seeingthat captain dead and turned into a dragon.
And how did you learn this magic? You're going to have to this.
They were scrying, scrying portents, all sorts of things. Do you
know how to describe? Don't you? Actually no, Dickie does, though

(04:18):
our activious could teach us. It'skind of what I was getting at.
What all can you teach us?Before we untie you'll kill you? I
teach you all my hands are tied. Be very difficult because I have to
like draw out rooms and magical formulathey describe them. Yes, ma'am,
I suppose that I could gets outa pen and Paperquiqui, no, no,

(04:40):
no, definitely cannon. Now Iwant in our campaign that there's definitely
pen pen ink and things like that, just to make life easier for everyone.
Pen. I looked over at Doriand ago here, well, I
actually has an infused platinum quill. There you go. That's like, do
go on, I'm quite proficial, nicky, You'll probably want to be doing

(05:00):
this as well. I've been doingthis the whole time. Okay, So
I'm going to hold together a listof some fun rituals that he may have.
Yes, yes, yes, giveme rituals. Yes no, no,
no, no, not that Itrust him, but I would also
like to know what teleports circles hehas memorized. Oh yeah, I mean

(05:27):
I've got an extra so yeah.So I remember in the first in the
first version of this, when wemet him, I took his necklace.
This time, are we letting himcontinue to wear his necklace so he can
breathe or is he breathing without it? Oh? No, we took that
off. Oh he is breathing withoutit? Then he would have had a
large problem. Say yeah, Sothat's why I was like, I'm pretty
sure we have to put it backon. Yeah, for his sake,

(05:48):
probably every time we had to golike Feedomer talk show, which just like
all right, yeah, is ita breathing thing or is it a talking
thing. It's a breathing thing, yeah, So he has to be able
to breathe like Atlantins. All right. So he is happy to teach you
the ceremony ritual. He could alsoteach you the skywrite ritual. Let's see
what are the fun rituals, sowe could do a skywriting business like happy

(06:09):
birthday, Margaret, will you marryme? Yea. All I'm thinking is
like we just make a big arrowin the sky to kind of help balk
for teleportations, just like over here. But and just definitely skywrite since it's
fun little ritual to you cause upto ten words to form in a part
of the sky. You can seethe words period you made of clouds and

(06:30):
remain in place for the spells duration. The words dissipate when the spell ends.
A strong wind can also disperse theclouds and in the spell early and
least up to an hour. Verycool ceremony skywrite. That's everything in that
book that would make somewhat sense.Dorian is asking finer point questions on like
timing in the ritual and how everythingworks. He gets really into the minutia.

(06:53):
He's kind of a ritual nerd.I comprehend languages, detect, detect
magic, lucinary script. I thinkthose are the ones that he could teach
you. If you don't already havedo you have to tech magic, I'll
take it, He'll explain to anyone. So the regular anyone that wants to
or can learn the rituals, you'remore than look too. Yeah, definitely.
I think val already learned the ceremonyritual from Barrios when he was looking

(07:16):
at putting Zeren to rest. Yes, but that was from a divine source.
So this is better for Dorian,That is true. I wonder why.
Yeah, I don't have any magicalabilities yet they look really pretty though,
Brandy. So after he explains,he kind of goes through and he'll
occasionally correct It's like, oh,no, you you've you've curled that out
too far. You need to shortenthat. It need correct, And he'll

(07:39):
kind of guide you through the ritualand the spell language related to it,
and probably bore him talking about magicaltheory, going into stuff like he'll his
magical nerd Dick is just as bigas Dorian's. It's so good magic Dick,
little magic backs of willow. Yeah, it'll draw on for a little

(08:00):
bit. Everyone else is like well, and with that, I believe that
I have talked last about Jarrod's fans, and at that point you said you
were going to free me. Yes, and we will real quick magical items
upon your person. I imagine thatyou've taken them all off ritual circles.
I'm terrible sorry, I'm Michael forgotmoment that Coleman said for little Dicky wants

(08:20):
to learn telegation circles. Yes,he can give you the addresses to two
circles in Sinisma. One of themis his private home and one is to
the gathering room outside the council chambers. He can give you a magic circle
in in Tavahia in Season's Glade,So apparently that's at least some kind of

(08:41):
conversation with those folks. And he'sgot a magic circle in the town of
odo Sev in the country of Shiku, basically the almost the western end of
the continent that you all are on. And we'll say that he's got a
ritual circle in the town own ofin the capital city of the country of

(09:01):
Hang under the Dragon Clan Emperor, the circles under the Emperor. The country
of Hang, yes, serves underthe Emperor of the the Imperial Emperor,
whose land is basically the Dragon clanland. There's a technical distinction between the
Daimio of the Dragon Clan and theImperial Emperor, who sits above the Daimio

(09:22):
of the Dragon Clan, even thoughthe territory is much the same. But
that's that's a level of information aboutHang that you all don't have in character
because you all haven't been to Hangbefore yet. Now we have these locations.
Yeah, we got lots of locations. That's great. And be like,
I feel like going to Hang today? We hang in today? Yeah,
are you going to hang out?Yeah? My god? So with

(09:50):
that now I believe any kind oflike raises his arms up behind him,
trying to indicate, hey, youknow I told you stuff. Actually free
me. Yes, we should freeyou, probably somewhere safer than this,
just real quick. When we dofor you, what do you intend to
do? Well, I'm going tohave to figure that out. I return
home, I die, but Istay with you all, I probably die
if I hide out somewhere. Iperhaps live for a few more days and

(10:13):
then die. You can join us. How did it go the last time
someone joined your crew? Do youreally want to run that risk again?
She's right here, It's true,talb oh, I wasn't the last time.
My concern with having him join ustoo is that he'd be gathering information
to perhaps buy his own life later. I can make it so he gets
hurt if he hurts us, youcan oh yeah, physically, emotionally,

(10:37):
spiritually in his brain. No,no, thank you, that's us In
what way? Anyway? I dolike that. I think we should do
that instead, like anyway? Gods? Is it permanent? Campy? He
looks at you and like the lefteyebrow goes up a little bit. I'm
sorry, did you? Did youtell us secrets about Moonbeam? I don't
recall. No, I don't thinkhis information was really that good. I'd
like him, glad we didn't tradewith it. I look at him.

(11:00):
I told her how to get outof her servitude, and you're saying I
didn't give her anything. No,No, for a little more like a
background, like something about a shadowaround. I think she's mentioned a few
times. Well, yes, hedid say that, and he also did
mention that one of your favors wastraded to varon Estra, Yes, one,
and that that is what led youto us. It sounds like we

(11:22):
are interrogating Moonbeam about backstory things thatshe is not quite comfortable sharing yet.
Oh I'm sorry you're not comfortable.I just said I could help and join
us. Sorry, making sure wecovered all the bases. Yeah, it
looked. But if you're gonna die, I might as well die amongst friends.
Yeah, you're most persuasive. Yeah, okay, die amonstas. There
you go. I would rather notsee you die. I want you to

(11:46):
grow from this experience and become yourown person and live a long life.
Right, that's what I would prefer. Oh, I think there are very
few that will have long lives inthis generation. We shall see. I
had Moonbeam real quick. I gottaknow. So lifting the veil, it's
I don't know how to say itsgas, However I can basically yeah,
So does he have removed curse forgreater restoration? How would you know what

(12:11):
spells he has him? How wouldyou believe whether he said yes or no?
How could you believe in one wayor the other. Insight checks,
Yeah, let him see if Ihave a cone of truth. I was
like, yeah, does anybody haveyes? Oh, yeah, do that?
There we go. I'm sure hehas an aura. No, No,

(12:31):
Russanante had it, and I'm like, ah, I think is has
it as well. That's right.Yeah. At the point we were recording
this, the Samurai Sunset episodes areactually coming out on a weekly basis,
and at present, I believe youall have dealt with the assassin Georg Yeah,
secular campaign. I was thinking aboutthat the other day. I was

(12:54):
like, that was that was agood bait and switch kind of thing.
Did you guys see what Cold said? Yeah? Own to tell the truth,
that's a possibility. So if Valikwould like to cast charm on him
to try to convince him tell thetruth, that's certainly an option. Does
that mean he has to make asaving throw? It does, but it's
not charming the traditional I am castinghypnotic. He does charm the evers okay,

(13:20):
and see it's okay. You couldhave trumed multiples with it, and
it's like, whoever sees it's obviouslynot getting my alleys? Okay, what
is the DC on the saving throw? The DC is fifteen. It is
a wisdom saving thro saving throw. So what what are you doing that?
He got a seven? Thing I'mdoing notting apparently twisting a pattern of color
weaves through the air inside a thirtyfeet cube and gives no figure. Well,

(13:41):
it's very pretty. It's very pretty. I mean, if you want
to say a moment contry, becausethe components for the spale is a glowing
stick of incidence or a crystal vialfield with fossile florescent material. So Valey
holds go stick, the weaves it'saround in the air like like he's and
sing at the rave. Yes,that is absolutely ra I love it all

(14:03):
right. So the hypnotic pattern doesnot appear to affect Octavious. So Moonbeam
seemed like maybe you had a backupplan. Yeah, as soon as that
happens, Moonbem is gonna some ofher pixie desk in his face. And
it's the same kind of thing.Char person he had DC sixteen though,
DC sixteen okay with some saving throughYeah, he got a fourteen your perfect

(14:24):
Okay, So he is charmed byMoonbeam for the moment, aren't we all
all right, So you are askinghim what going back to the question that
you were asking him at the pointwhere you trying to charm him. Yes,
the question was what are you goingto do after this? Was that
it? But that was what someoneelse is asking. I was asking what

(14:45):
spells he has? What spells?Because oh, you were asking particularly for
a greater restoration and remove curse, move curse or a wish But I doubt
he's high enough level to have awishpell. Right. If he was high
enough level to have a wish spell, you probably couldn't have captured him as
easily as you didn't. Yeah,he goes well, I don't have greater
restoration, but I know people thatdo. WHOA I wonder where those people

(15:11):
are? Very strange? Should nevertell him? So that means your spell
would only work to the point thathe could get himself to someone who can
cost it. Right, true, but he would hurt himself if he tried
to. Well, no, becauseremoving a cast off himself doesn't hurt us,
but leaving us with leaving us whathappen? If he does anything I
don't want him to do, hehurts himself. How long does this last?

(15:31):
As long as I want. Yeah, y'all should be terrified. And
how frequently can you cost this?Once a day? You know? Are
friends, right? Good? Goodfriends? Yeah, she likes tottle.
So you want to just clarify becausea spell less for thirty days, it

(15:52):
does, and she's gonna cast itonce a day. Yeah, it's easy
enough to cycle that, but technicallyit just thirty days as long and just
yeah, and within this spell youcan set parameters. How many if he
just doesn't do do something and Idon't want him to do And how long
have you been able to do this? I'm sorry I didn't catch that next
question. Okay, I mean honestly, the longer you've had it, the

(16:15):
better I feel, because that means, in theory, either we haven't done
something that you don't want to todo, or you haven't casted on anyone
in our general vicinity. No,no, no, not you, no,
moonbeam. You have my full support. I have a feelings gonna have
a lot of people's full support forit. Let's just remember what the definition

(16:38):
of a dictator is starts with Dick. We don't want to be dicks.
Dick doesn't look at the people. You know, You've always been my favorite,
right, Dick, you always buyme things, of course, I
mean, he gets well I should, I think terrifying Pixie aside, this

(16:59):
is probably best course of actions forthe time being. Anyone else have questions,
He's still just sitting here. No, I'm all set. I don't
know about the rest of you.I have an out of game question that
the folks that I ran into,I forget in Dorian's town. I went
into a bank and they all stoodup and they knew all these things.
Blah blah blah. Is that thisgroup or is that a completely separate that
is a separate group, and theyare two or three episodes away from doing

(17:22):
their their view boiler. Because Iwas going to ask him about them.
Oh, okay, there was anythingabout them, but I don't remember what
they I know they called themselves somethingthe Order. Oh just the Order.
Okay, that's probably what I don'tremember. So anyway, we are going
to probably and cast that on you, and you're going to join us for
a while. In the meantime,I think it would be so great.
We all just got up, gotsome actual food in us and talked about

(17:45):
the Order. You mean, thecounterpoint to the philoshop of the eye of
blood. Yes, of course, over fine meal, perhaps a nice class
kiante. We could have a conversationabout that. We'll find you some fav
beans too. Oh are we gonnamake fun of them? I love making
fun of them baa beans. SoI think that's probably where we're moving to
next. Unless it's like a bigthing for you to cast that, No,
it's I literally it takes a minuteand I just have to say some

(18:07):
stuff. We'll boop on the nose. Well, technically he gets wisdom saving
throw on it when you cast it. That's true. But he's charmed.
He is charmed. He's charmed currently. Yes, yeah, I'll do it
now. How long does charm last? An hour? Okay, never had

(18:27):
a chance. It's it's funny though, because in the og he definitely had
a chance. Yeah well yeah, yeah, Fugi he died very very quickly.
Oh yeah in the multiverse, Ohthat's very yeah, he did die
so fast. This variant lives.Okay, so tell you what. Because
he's charmed currently, I will givehim disadvantage on his saving throw, but

(18:49):
almost assure that he will fail. But it's possible that he'll win. It's
okay. In that case, thereis Yeah, he fails. He rolled
actually a only it's a five withthe end the number. What do you
roll to one? So yes, under your gas. I would like to
know the specific phrasing. Yeah, and we're going to write this down,

(19:14):
the phrasing that Mooding would use tomake sure, the phrasing of the sell,
the phrasing of the as as Iread it, you are forcing him
to carry out some service or refrainfrom some action or course of activity as
you decide. So I would liketo know how you are phrasing what the
course of action or activity You're tryingto get it? Can I pitch a

(19:37):
phrase? Yeah, there's no there'sno like word limits. So you will
only do things that will bring meand my friend's joy. Wow, witchcraft
a baby, all about the positives. You will only do things that will
bring me and my friends joy. That was the phrase. I'm trying to
think of alternatives to adjusting case.Yeah, that's perfect. Yeah, because

(19:59):
if that is the utter of thelaw, then the guy can't go to
the bathrooms. Me happy, That'sI mean, that's not true because like
it wouldn't anger us, Like we'dbe happy. He relieved himself because we
don't want to deal with the ramificationsof that. Not angering is different than
bringing joy. Yes, my thoughtwas making it a simple moming kind of
thing, just being like, you'reour friend. Friends help each other and

(20:22):
never betray each other, and sticktogether, friends don't lie. Ye oh
my god, I knew that wascoming. Yes, I'm going to get
nitpicky here, because with the spellthat is powerful. The way the DM
kind of gets around it is bybeing Yes. As I read the spell,
it's you place a magical command onthe creature carry out some service or

(20:45):
refrain from some action. So byby saying you are our friend, you
will act like our friend and ourfriends like us sentences. Yeah, so
I need ants or butts or howeversor some thing to link that through.
I love that this is basically justbeing forcing someone to be her friend.

(21:07):
You will act as a faithful andstalwart friend platinum ring. Yeah, that's
one sentence. That's one sentence.I got try us that's faithful. Yep.
I'm also trying to think there's anythingelse a faithful stalwart and will put
and we'll protect yourself and us.He's got he's loaded with information and it

(21:30):
was out one more person to protectus. I mean, I guess we
don't have to stay to protect us, and you would do no harm to
yourself well a friend. Yeah,it's basically like, you will serve as
a faithful and stalwart companion to thePlatinum Ring. Then he if he killed
himself, that would be kind ofin opposition to the companion. That would
hurt us. Yeah, it wouldhurt him. Yeah, him hurting himself
would hurt us because he needs tobecause we're friends. Friends. Yeah,

(21:52):
that hurts friends with no thoughts toself harm. Dude's name again because in
my movie to him enemies to allies, pavious trink. Okay, so I
have your current phrasing as you willact as a faithful and stalwart friend to
me in the Platinum Ring with nothought to self harm. Did you put
it in the chat? Sorry?I put it in the in the role

(22:15):
twenty Oh. I put it inthe chat in the Facebook chat as well.
Learn all the crack. Let's seeit is now in the faceboo chat.
Sweet, I'm okay with that.Everyone else okay with that? I'm
good. I like it to findways around it. Oh yeah, I
mean he's clever, dude. Ialready have two great perfect we all like
to kill, so you know, all right, so you cast gays on

(22:37):
him. He fails his role spectacularly, and now he must act as a
faithful and stalwart friend to you inthe Platinum Ring with no thought towards self
harm. Okay, so you havemade at least for now Octavius Trigg your
friend. You all have woken up. Since he's your friend, I'm assuming
you move to untie him at somepoint. Yes, yeah, we're on
time. You untie him, youtie his legs, you take him out,

(23:00):
and he's able to have a meal. And again you sense that there
is a internal battle with him sittingat the brunch table now at this point
of trying to keep decorum but alsoravenous hunger and thirst that he's trying to
slake. So he definitely spends abit of time and a couple of the

(23:21):
Silver Thrust guards and attendants that arebringing you all food and drink seeing this
guy that you've been prisoned for likefive days now suddenly he's, you know,
your your friend. There's definitely acouple of odd, like quick micro
glances as people are like not tryingto question you all but it's a little
weird for them. Worry about itnow, you're goddamn business for the Platinum

(23:45):
Ring. Jitch people change Barrows's son, who is now the head of the
Silver Thrust Clan himself an elder dwarf. Now at this point will come in
and go. All right, aslong as you all want to stay here,
you up more than welcome. Youhave done much to the name the
reputation of the Silver Thrust Clan.Do you have a nep next step?
Are there runners that we can sendoff for you somewhere? What is your

(24:10):
plan? I mean, personally,I'm like looking to the group boom,
I think it's well, we aregoing to go to the swamp lan.
Man, I hear you. Ireally think we need to inform my brother
that he's being hunted. And theway we were going to get to the
swamp lands was kind of through yourbrother. So oh, here we go.
Oh oh you're you want you needa ship? Then yes, I
believe we have one coming. Whatday was that? Theoretically tomorrow ish is

(24:33):
when the ship will be back.So we're here for another day or so.
I have any recommendations. While we'rehere, I will take you this
evening to the granite slab for thefinest ribs that you've ever tasted. Sounds
delicious, Yes, you certainly haveour attention. Excellent, So the day
passes in fairly restorative to at leastto your soul and emotion. It's an

(24:56):
easy, relaxing day. It isone of the the first days that you
guys had quite a while where littleto nothing is happening. You go out
to a fine, fancy dinner.Anyone who orders the ribs, you know
it is the barbecue sauce. Hegoes up to past your second knuckle on
your fingers. That's how how drippyand gooey, and just how much you

(25:18):
all are deflouring because of how tastythese treats are. That's so much barbecue
sauce in that first if als arewanting to eat with quite a bit of
decorum and use the fork and knifethat is accessible as well. I just,
you know, making a point thatshe is not a goddamn princess.
She is hairing into these things.I was picturing, Like the claw comes

(25:38):
out, she like skewers it witha claw, and she's like, oh
yeah, she's going full carnivore.Cat like. Yes. Yes, as
Dorian is cutting the meat from thebone, I'll kind of look over and
go, my lady see, andI was sending with Dorian. He'd like
pick up the rib, he'd eatthe rib, and then he'd pressed it.
Did you tate his own fingers everycouple of seconds so you couldn't lick

(26:00):
them. I do the salt athing where I just sort of moved each
bone out separately, Yes, andthen just eat the flash or vegetarians and
vegans listening to a podcast, we'redescribing how fantasy means. How do you
know it's not a plant monster thatthey killed, it's relative ribs, I

(26:22):
mean, but still senting creature.Anyway, we're not getting into this.
It's a beyond monster and beyond monsters, exactly excellent. So the day the
day passes. The next morning youall begin to gear up, you you
know, repack your bags. You'vestayed here for several nights. Now this

(26:47):
is one of the better rested momentsthat you all have had since starting on
this journey now months ago. Inthe timeline of the world. Keep casting
non detection on Octavia, so thelittle warf comany. You are all right,
Usually your friend comes in with thelate morning tide. So if you

(27:08):
all head out about now, imagineyou'll get there just about in time to
see his ship come into the harbor. Thank you so much on your hostility,
and we appreciate everything you've done welltaking my father on one last adventure,
letting him go out on his ownterms, with one last adventure.
On that story to tell, therewas little that I could refuse you all

(27:30):
from asking well he rests well? Now he rests well. Indeed, I
do not know, other than yourfriend here, who's clearly a knight of
Row, I do not know necessarilyhow all of you feel about your faith
in the gods. Right for me, I view stone is like water.
It's a different medium. If youstrike a stone with a pickaxe, if
you hit it strong enough, theimpact reverberates through the stone, much like

(27:52):
if you drop a stone in awater, the water ripples out. I
feel that the good deeds that onedoes a stone being thrown into the river,
or a hammer striking the stone ofa wall, it ripples and reverberates
out so that that ringing, thosewaves, that movement around of the good
act continues long past the hammer blow. Or the stone being thrown in the

(28:17):
river. You all have helped myfather have one last day where he was
the hammerer of stone, and theruberations of his actions and your own who
we felt far into the days, weeks, months and years to come.
And for that I cannot repay youenough. I think we can all honestly
say it was a pleasure getting stonedwith your father. Wow. He looks
at you and eyebrow goes up andlike two beats later. Yes, a

(28:44):
truer hero I cannot imagine. Andhe will guide you all to the estate
doors. And outside the estate thereis a small cart looks like it's their
equivalent of a taxi, and hegoes. I called that to help you
get back to the upper town. It's a little bit faster. Oh and
so Dicky, Yes, I understandthat a few of your fans may be

(29:06):
gathering to see you off. Wonderful. Oh the family Oh no a ns
yes, his whole family. No, no, no, you as the
author, Yeah, the gentleman westayed here. Yes, yes, and
that's my family. That's you, buddy. I knew that to get drinking
this morning. Someone is continuing toget stoned in the memory of my thought

(29:29):
to a different people, Is thisthe state you want to be a fan
of the age? No? Sorry, let's do it. Yeah, I
dropped, all right. So thefive of you, including Octavius, all
get into the hack and start headedtowards the upper town. There is quite

(29:51):
a bit of movement. A lotof the dwarves are out and about doing
their business. You see the occasionalmember of another race, but it's like
ninety percent dwarf here. So whenyou do see the occasional Eric Cocra or
other human or something like that,it's the uncommon element. As you,
guys, get towards the kind ofdemarcation line between the undertown and the upper

(30:11):
town, the uppertown being the groupthat is actually in the sunlight houses that
are are part of the harbor, your eyes take a moment to adjust as
you start to get closer and closerto this line, and as you cross
over fully into the sunlight, allof you few for the first time for
several days, the sun truly hittingyour skin, the warmth of that light

(30:34):
reinvigorating you all again. There's alittle bit of eye adjustment, and maybe
one of you raise your hand toblock out the sun for just a moment
as your eyes adjust, But youcontinue into the upper town. Here again
there's even more hustle and bustle thanthere is than the undertown. And you
all get to you your way towardsthe port area. As you all get

(30:56):
off the hack at the port,Roman perception checks. Actually Dicky accident and
that was a dirty twenty twenty three. Oh damn it. Eleven hold on,
I roll an advantage that ever werecrew. It worked once once once
time to dund Not this time though, not this time? No, all

(31:17):
right, I believe maybe, AndMoonbeam did get high numbers on that though.
So you see that there is acluster of dwarves around a figure hooks
like a tax collector. That Moonbeam. You all have seen that fellow before,
and it is in fact that thegentleman who was the huge fan of
little Dickie. And there are fouror five other dwarves and they constantly kind

(31:37):
of have their heads on a swiveland they're looking around. They have not
spotted you yet, but if youstay around the port area, it's likely
that they will spot you all atsome point. But isn't that the guy
whose family was stayed with you know, you guys stayed with the silver Thrust
family, which is Barrios's family. No, that was no, I mean
when we first first you first gothere. Yes, you stayed with the
tax collector with a family. Yes, that's why Coleman meant by his fans

(32:00):
this whole time, the guy inhis family. Yes, fans, yeah,
but not the silver Thrust family. The text the people we stand distinction
first, so on second yea.All right, so they are nearby,
but they have not spotted you allyet. I will even say may have
almost certainly your eyes would turn towardsthe water to try to see what ships

(32:22):
were at port and if any shipswere coming in or recently departed. About
half an hour of watching, yousee sales begin to unferral and a fairly
familiar prow begins to cut the wavestowards the port. And this is in
fact Black Fangs ship. It's stillat least another hour maybe two before can

(32:43):
actually shore up to the dart lot. They are at least now visible on
the horizon, which means he's stillalive. Hey, are you all keeping
distance from Dicky's fans? Or atsome point is someone going to come over
and go over and talk to them. I plant them out for I wasn't
yeah, I was gonna before yougot into the half hour thing. I
was just going to turn the moonbeamand go should we tell them? They

(33:04):
are not thinking it's a friend. So over here, hearing you shout out,
all of them, there's seven ofthem turn their heads and various reactions
of oh, my gosh, mygosha, my gosha, my gosh.
They are walking very quickly, butthey're trying not to look desperate. They're
trying very very hard not to lookdesperate. High so they are all moving

(33:24):
very quickly towards you, And asthey'd be into approach, the dwarf that
you'd spoken to previously goes, oh, well, shee, you came back
up. I knew you'd have tobe here someday. It's good to see
again, sir. Yes, Itold all of my friends who are fellow
friends of your books that you werehere in town. They almost didn't believe
me until I showed them the signedcopy that you made for me. And

(33:45):
are you popular now? Oh,it's not so much about mabe a popular,
sir, it's that you're so popularall these works came out here.
They just had to see hopefully toshake your hand before you departed. Oh,
then let me get my glove onthe special glove. Yeah, un
shaking glove, glitter glove. It'sthe one he does all his writing with
him. He will introduce all ofthe dwarves that are there at the group,

(34:08):
and they will kind of almost likeline up, hoping to get you
to autograph their copies of some ofyour books. Any of you good artists.
Yeah. One of the female dwarvesin the group raises her hand.
He goes, oh, you've beenknown to draw a few good images here
and there. Oh, wonderful.Yeah, let's get a picture together.
Nobody moved. Don't have time,Dicky, time chance? Yeah, minutes.

(34:34):
She'll pull out some charcoal and apiece of parachment and start trying to
draw awesome images. Oh oh,Roladdie twenty to see how good the images.
But I haven't been that bad.I'm praying for it to being that
bad like a fourn Okay, soin eight on the die before, Addie,
I think, okay, so theimages recognizable. Not all the dimensions

(34:59):
are quite right, Dick, he'ssomehow a little smaller than most of the
other dwarves. Some of the facialfeatures are a little distorted on the dwarves.
Clearly one of the dwarves she verymuch doesn't like, because like his
beard is all twisted up and gnarlyand has chunks seemingly missing from it.
So you know, maybe maybe thatthat guy did one of her friends wrong

(35:19):
or something. But it's it's veryclearly one of the dwarves is looks worse
than everybody else, but dicky plinthhelend is drawn in very good and near
realistic detail. All right, now, everybody make a funny face and hold
it. And about that time theship starts throwing out its lines to be
pulled up to the dock. Allright. The doors are sad sea leave,

(35:44):
but they wave her a while, and as you head over to the
port, they like step to theedge of the sea wall nearest to you,
and they continue waving as you headover towards the ship. As you
all begin to head towards the dock, a gang plank has come down from
the ship. A couple of cranesare pulling off cargo, and there's a
couple of cargo pieces that seemed tobe lined up waiting to go onto the

(36:06):
ship and standing in the center ofthe main deck issuing out commands to his
crew. Is Captain Blackfank. I'lldo what I normally do and try to
like sell behind and CoRIS okay, yeah, And I mean it's it's daytime
and he's standing the decks. It'sgonna be super hard rolling a disadvantage.
Okay, I'm gonna get it inthe box first. Well that was even
better, but so I'll stick withthe original twenty six. Yeah, he's

(36:28):
distracted in the business of what he'sdoing. That he is, he's genuinely
surprised when hands pop over his eyes. He like startles for a second and
then catches up and his arms comeup and grab your forearms over his head
and he lifts you up off ofhis eyes, and much like an old
game, he lifts you up highenough where you can like kick your legs

(36:51):
over and he plants you back onhis shoulder. Yeah, that's preciseesly what
I do. And parch a littletail, just like whipping back and forth.
Yeah. Oh well, then missmay good to see you again.
You and your friends don't with yourbusiness here for the time band, Yes,
