Aunque no sabemos muy bien por qué se empezaron a llamar lichigo a las verdulerías y fama a las carnicerías, lo cierto es que estos lugares son espacios irremplazables que encontramos en todos los barrios de la ciudad y cumplen la función primordial de abastecer a los vecinos de la comunidad, pero también son ese lugar cercano donde nos encontramos con nuestros vecinos y el tendero, que de vez en cuando y luego de llevarle el mercado de la semana, nos dice “veci, llévese un bananito o una mandarinita, pa' que vuelva”
