has to show up at some point, you think so, I mean,
maybe not this season, but hehas to show up in the new,
the new cast, the new We'llsee, we'll see what happens house party.
I was excited just by looking atthe thumbnail for this one. Yeah,
because that's exactly right. Um.So essentially, what is going on

here is uh, Lexie, Uhis sad that Jamie and I are together.
Yeah, and she's, you know, she's a you know tells you
know. Uh, she's trying toact like it's not a big deal.
She's talking to Daisy, Yeah,and she's trying to and they're going to
there's a big party. Jamie isthrowing a rager at his house, and

Lexie is acting to Daisy like it'sjust not a big deal, Like,
it's totally fine. I'm over it. I'm happy for them. And as
soon as Daisy walks away, it'sclear that she's not. And Max strolls
up after that and wants to somehowruin the party as well. And we
think it's because he is missing outon a ticket to see Dane Cook live

at Morongo. Um. And soLexie and he decide we're gonna hatch a
plan because we both want this partyto go poorly. That's exactly right.
Yeah, and so, uh,Max's plan that he comes up with not
so good, not great. Uhinvolves a football, like a football or
something to the crotch, I don'tknow. Not great. It's a dog
to Aisha's crotch because she's got hotdogs in her pants. Yeah, not

great. And it's it's it fitsas awkward as it sounds. Yes,
Lexie has a hundred step plane,hundred step plan. Yes, Um that
really is just involves uh kind ofmanipulating Jamie, making Aisha feel jealousy.
They want to send a bunch ofgifts that for the birthday. He's there

(04:56):
for the rebounds. That's exactly right, there for the rebound. Um.
So you might be asking what's Daisydoing. In this episode, she is
obsessed with the HBO television program Euphoria. Um, a little bit of a
different tenor of Euphoria as a showthan say By the Bell is. But
it's a kind of a joke onhow that's that the depiction of high school

and euphoria is not the depiction andsay by the Bell. And so she
wants she's hoping going to this partyis going to give her a Euphoria like
experience and show. She does alittle pregaming with some substances that alter her
state of mind. But we'll getback to her. But really that's her
whole bit this. I don't knowif we will get back to her.
She she just kind of roams inand out. Really no really no point

to her. Yeah, um.And DeVante in this episode is also Davante
is the only one with the carthat can drive Daisy Naisha to the party.
That's it and he's kind of there. But then he's important when it
comes to the the nostalgia piece ofthis later on, which we'll get so.
Uh, it's the night of theparty. Uh, and Lexie Mac

show up. They have the gifts, they show them um, and Aish
is acting a little weird. Shethen sees all the gifts, she is
acting even more weird. She stormsoff that there trying to assume jelly jelly,
that's right. Um, and sothat's going great. Blen's going great.
So Jamie goes to talk to her. Yeah, and uh. She

He's just like, I'll throw everythingout. I don't need all this stuff
and she's like, that's not thepoint you're making it worse, storms off,
storms off, Let's just be done. Let's just be done. And
it's like it's going great. Yeah. Mac is like, we're only three
steps in everything is we can wecan cancel steps four to ninety nine to

go straight to a hundred. Yeah. So Daisy is like hallucinating things.
DeVante puts her in a closet soshe just stays there. He stays outside
to make sure she didn't get introuble. So this part is going on
while Jesse is going to visit herhusband, right, and she gets notifications
because of the doorbell. The shoutout to ring ring, ring doorbell,

you have a ring doorbell. Idon't. I don't. I have a
CPI security system though CPI promo codeback back to bayside to the number.
Uh, she is getting a lotof cutting, a lot of notifications.
Hey, people are showing up.It's the bigger party. Are going to
call the cops, So she callsU Slater R. Now Slater is out

on a double a double date blinddate with Principal Toddman, who has tricked
this girl by saying by using Slateras his profile picture, and h AC
needs to come on the date.Ac tries to talk Jesse into come in
on the date with her, butshe has to go visit her husband.
And so Acy's on this date.He's actually hitting it off with this girl.
Toddman is weirdly hitting it off withthe other girl. Um, and

he gets called middle of the date, middle where Jesse says, can you
please go and stop this party?Acey's having a good time of the day.
You know what he does, Helisten, This is classic. This
is classic friend zone decision making herebecause it's like I gotta try, I
gotta try. And so he's like, listen, sorry, I gotta leave.
I gotta go go to deal withsomething. Um. And so he

(08:18):
goes shows up to the house anduh, there's a dance competition going on
yeah, which excites Slater of course, and instead of drop stopping the party,
he says, hit it and getsin on the act. That's right,
And it's the music from the firstepisode. Uh, with the with
the yeah, the Jim Jim nasticsroutine that does. Yes, he does

(08:39):
the whole thing, Mac and hegot this music. He does the same
routine, does the same routine,still has it, and all the kids
are looking on. They are confused, baffled, but then suddenly erupts a
and he's got it. That's exactlyright. Then we go to Lexi and

(09:01):
Jamie. Yes, serious conversation goingon. Yeah, Lexi's there and Jamie's
really telling her, Hey, Ifeel like you've you've changed, Like you're
a better person, you're happier blahblah blah um, and she's like,
nah, I'm still the worst blahblah blah and uh, they're about they're
about to kiss. She calls itoff. She has changed and uh so

(09:24):
Uh. She goes to talk toAyisha and it's like, Hey, this
is the plan to make you jealous, and she's like, I wasn't jealous.
I just realized for the first timehow different me and Jamie are from
like where we come from. Likeat school, we feel like the same.
I feel like we're not that different. But I come to his giant
house and he's getting all these giftsjust and she, yeah, she feels

(09:46):
like she could never buy him anything. She got a terrible painting for him.
It's a whole bit yeah yea.Um, but Lexi's kind enough to
be like, no, no,no, you two should get back together.
And they do get back to you. They do get back together.
Um. We get a dance scene, classic U Brand, Barbara Ann.
We remember when screeches the guys withthe brooms his guitars, Max playing the
guitar. At the end of that, they're like, I want to be

(10:07):
just somebody says, I want tobe just like Hugh Slater, a child,
you know, childless adult who hangsout with kids. And Slater realizes
like he's his life's kind of miserable. The cops show up. He's sitting
there still waiting for his the girlthat he liked in high that's right,
and the cops. The cops come. He talks the cops off of of

(10:28):
doing anything, and then he goesand he says, this party's over.
Cleans up the entire house for Jesse. Jesse shows back up with her husband.
Uh, you know, that's kindof the end. Slater asked that
girl out again, Mac Basically,we don't know why he actually wanted to
break up the party, and heorders a dozen pizzas for Tod Minton.
It was an odd thing, likeLexie's trying to get to the bottom of

(10:50):
why he did this, and he'slike being weird about it, and we
don't really get to the bottom.We don't. I thought there's gonna be
some big revelation of like he likesHiisha too or something. She walks off
and he's like, why am Ilike this? And then he takes a
phone call and he orders pizza forTom and he's fine again. Yes,
And that's the end of the Yes, the end of episode's exactly right.
That is what's going on here.That is what's going on here. Hey,

it's back to b side. Weare doing an episode seven of the reboot
here House, parte um, andit's time for our next segment, So
Excited, I'm so scared part episodewhere we share how we felt about it.

(11:58):
Did we love it and excited us? Do we not like it?
Did it scare us? Dana?Yeah, So this episode left me with
the most questions of any episode we'vewatched so far, and it also is
my favorite one of the season.Wow, it's my favorite one of the
seasons. And I'll tell you why. It hit for me in a nostalgic
way that the others really haven't hit. It was the first big punch of

(12:18):
nostalgia that I thought really worked themdoing the singing thing. I really like
that all the gang is together,even though Daisy and DeVante don't have a
lot to do, the gang isaltogether. There's high jinks, but there
are actual relationship stakes. I'm stilleven though she's married, I'm obviously shipping

(12:39):
Jesse and Ac. I want thateven though Jesse's married. I know I
shouldn't, but I do. Iwant. I don't know what I want
with the Lexi Jamie Aisha triangle.But this was a really cool character development
moment. Mac spends more gold,even though his plotline makes very little sense
to me. I want to knowmore about that. I'm hoping they'll answer
that it all worked, and itall worked, not just on a funny

(13:01):
level. I was caring about thecharacters more. I was caring about the
characters more. It was funny andI laughed and it hit me in all
the nostalgia feels. So he checkedall three boxes, and I have the
most questions. It's still my favoriteepisode. So excited. Here's my problem
with this episode. Okay, ifI can have a problem, yeah,
I'd love for you to. Wehave been led to believe that Daisy is

the main character in this program.She's the Zach Moore. She can talk
because she can talk, yes,and so, up to this point her
storyline has at least it hasn't alwaysbeen the a story and hasn't, but
at least its mattered. Yes,I feel like they they haven't. I
don't know what they're what the pointof her in this episode was with the

(13:50):
euphoria, other than it's just ajoke. My problem is this would never
like if she is the Zach,this would this would never be Zach Yea
and say by the bell would havenever clearly more of an ensemble here though.
So yes, But I think whatI'm getting at here is I want

(14:13):
to I want all the like lastepisode I love because I felt like everybody
had a part to play in thein the grand scheme of the episode,
and I don't I didn't feel thatwith the episode. I'm frustrated in this
episode by the throwaway of Daisy sowith Noe with My thing is is she's
still there. She's learning how tobay side, and she kind of is

the least interesting character of the sixright now. She's the least interesting one.
She's Lea Lesa interestate. She's lessinteresting than Dante. Yeah, I
think so, because Davante's got thislike this thing about him that he never
gives you anything. And I thinkthat it's that it's been more frustrating.

(14:54):
Daisy is a better fleshed out character. I think she's a more complete character.
She's just not a Here's the thing, Dan, I don't disagree with
you. My frustration is we wereled to believe that she was to Zach
Moore. She was to the pointof the show with the powers, and
she still did it in this episode. But for no reason, I don't

(15:15):
feel I just don't feel like wehave to it has to be a Daisy
centric or Daisy has to be inthe A her her story was the Sea
Line story very clearly the C story. The A story was the party in
breaking them up with Lexi mac uh, Jamie and Ayisha. The B story
was Slater in Jesse. The Cstory was Davanti and Daisy. Yes,

(15:35):
it's gonna happen. It's not likeshe's not. But when was Zach ever,
We've not want look you're not Imy memory says that he never was
in the C story yet. Butmy point is is that Zach I don't
even I don't even know it isDaisy one on the call sheet in this
show, like there was a cleardelineation Mark Paul Gosseler is one on the

call sheet. That is not thecase in this I feel like we have
been led to believe that she is. She's in the center of all the
promos, she's the one with thepowers to say it just it's more of
an ensemble to me. It doesn'tbother me as much as it would with
Zach was just stored away in acloset. Yes, doesn't bother me.
I I just feel like I wouldhave I would have liked her to have

(16:19):
something more or just for her notto be the main like if her character
is not that interesting, like let'sgive the show to Lexi. Like I
feel like they have for the mostpart, centered all the episodes around Lexi
and Mac in some way. Lexiehad a couple and Mac have had a
couple where they didn't do much earlyon, but they're the best characters.
Lexie and Mack. Yeah, Ilike, I like everybody. Yeah,

(16:42):
um, Lexie Macker really starting togrow on me though. They're pretty great.
I just you know, I thinkmy point is, you know,
the beginning of every Day by theBelt, for the most part, started
out with you know, Zach comingdown to the stairs or opening it in
his room with a monologue and dancesetting it. Yes, And I feel
like they don't do that here,and they don't and this but this is

(17:04):
the only episode where if it feltlike Daisy just didn't matter. So are
you scared? I'm not scared.I still like the episode. I'm just
getting like this is my point isI didn't. I thought the Euphoria bit
was funny. I thought it wasfunny. I thought it worked. And
Zendaia is the lead of Euphoria,but there are times when she is spaced
out and that the entire story doesn'trevolve around her, and that was a

bit I think. But if youand I'm not recommending you watch Euphoria at
all by any stretch, the contentis very, very graphic. I'm just
saying it worked as a bit,and it worked as a way. They
just didn't have anything for her todo with this love triangle, and so
they found something to make it okay. And I was I think. I

(17:47):
just feel like they've they've, youknow, bit off a little more than
they can choot with the amount ofcharacters that they have, like I would
like episodes. Yeah, I agreethat I still loved it, still loved
it still and I would say this, I'm actually, uh, the end
of this episode, I got offthe Jesse Slater ship. I'm happy he's

moving on or attempting to move on. I'm excited to see is that developed.
I'm gonna be honest, brand I'mgonna be honest, right now and
get real with you. My headis very happy for him that he's moved
on. Sure my heart, no, yeah, sure, no, no,
No, Spano, Slater forever.It is what it is. There's
nothing I can do about you wantyou. Your heart wants him to split
up a married couple. I justput it on a record. Let's put

it on record. I my heartwants Jesse Spano to realize she's being emotionally
abused by her husband. Of course, divorce under proper pretenses, and then
get together with Slater. That's whatmy heart wants. You made. Your
heart is very very specifics of Hey, let's get into the next segment.
Time out, Time out. Asfar as show, we talk about the
things that made us laugh, madeus stop and say time out. Maybe

it confused us. I don't know, Dan. Yeah, Toddman is going
on dates and he's wearing a weddingring. Um, I'm pretty sure it's
just a goof. I'm pretty surethe character forgot to take his wedding ring
off. He's wearing a wedding ringat least in the first scene when he
talks to Slater about the dates.Not a great look. Speaking of breaking
up marriages, Toddman has a weddingring on just FYI. We probably need

to clean that up. Second,And this is back to the well from
our last episode. But is Slaterhomeless because in this episode. Last episode
he said he didn't pay any rentor couldn't pay any rent. This episode
he says it's he doesn't live ina house, which means it could be
an apartment or trailer. But ifhe's not pay rent and he doesn't live
in a house, I'm worried thatSlater is like in a you know,

(19:36):
some sort of cardboard bungalow somewhere.Little concern. Next, and this is
the last one. Really, thisplan seems a lot more ruthless than any
plan we've had up to this point. And I think that's to show that
Lexie used to be mean. Iguess I just felt like it was a
very very mean plan. It justseemed mean. And I want to know

what Matt Max deal. I feellike we'll get that answer. I want
to know what Max steal is.It made no sense. He didn't we
didn't know why he actually wanted tobreak up Aisha and Jamie and he just
orders pizzas and everything's okay. Idon't understand that at all. I have
questions about that. Those are mytime outs. I got a couple of
one. Jamie is wearing a chainaround, like coming out of like a
wallet chain That was cool when Iwas a kid. Why I why does

he have one like? He?Like? I just want to know how
it happened because he doesn't strike meas a walt chain guy. I didn't
know either. I don't know ifthey are um at the end, I
just want to know again what happenedhere with Mac? Because Mac gets a
phone call and proceeds to order pizza. So how did that happen? So
did he have like a hey Dominoescall me at this time? The order?

How did that happen? Um?And I'm I think I'm just hoping.
You know, obviously we are supposedto be rooting against Jesse's husband,
right. I hope that we getone episode where we get to know him
a little bit more because I feellike what we know about him isn't a
lot and it's just like he's justaway. He's like a they made him

be the worst and I just wantto know, like who, But but
he's still you know, he's thedad of Jamie and like he has jamie
is ms, you know, andthe way that he talks. And so
I just feel like I kind ofwant like a father's son's story at some
point with him and Jamie to seewhat they're like, because we know what
he's like with with Jesse. Buthow has that effect just Jame care about

him? Maybe that's because my heartwants to span a slater. But having
said all of that, I'm interestedin where he got all his money.
Clearly he's successfully got a massive houseand it's not on guidance counselor's salary for
well, she wrote a book.Oh, she wrote a book. She
wrote the book, so it couldbe book money. Could be book money,
big book money. That's what I'mhoping for, big book money.
