Sakakura, un estudiante universitario que había introducido a Yurina en la escuela, sentía un afecto inusual por ella. En complicidad con Yasuno, una compañera con la que compartía una simpatía mutua, Sakakura puso en marcha un plan para entrenar a Yurina.
El director de la escuela ordenó a Yurina que participara en un taller de intercambio. El día de la partida, Yurina bebió una taza de té negro recomendada por Sakakura, pero se sintió mareada, se le oscurecieron los ojos y se desmayó.
