incredibly talented dance team. They placedsecond for both Hip Hop and Showdown at
Nolansville High. Congrats to the girlsfor working so hard this year and to
our seniors. I'm sure you can'tforget the memorable senior sunrise that happened this
year, even though it was alittle too cloudy to see the sun.
(01:40):
I know I'm looking forward to oursenior sunset coming up. As far as
rivalries go, our boys bowling teamhad an incredible season this year, with
an amazing win over Green Hill thatqualified the men to the quarterfinals. Our
MJ Bears boys basketball team beat GreenHill with their forty five to forty one
I'm sorry to anyone who missed thegame because it was one of the most
(02:02):
intense and exciting games for MJ.Yet. Our hockey team was a total
knockout this year, with Jordan Antarscoring twenty three points overall, making him
a top scorer for our MJ team. They held an undefeated record this season,
making MJ Bears a force to bereckoned with. For our color guard
(02:23):
at the SCGC Circuit Championship, theygot first place and a gold medal with
a score of ninety point oh four. Additionally, Winner Wins and drum Line
were able to make it to finalsat WGI, with the drum line placing
second and Winner Wins placing first. Our wrestling team had a great season this
(02:45):

(03:07):
her four hundredth career strikeout and overallour softball team is winning three to one
in district play so far. Ourtrack team has also been killing it this
year and mors to come, I'msure. So far our girls have played
second in districts and placed first inboth their sprint relays at their Clarksville meet.
Thank you to BNN for making theGolden Bear Awards nights so incredibly special

the Prom committee and all the teacherswho made the night so special. Also
a special congratulations to our seniors formaking it all this way. I am

(03:52):
the best it can be. Andfinally, be sure to check out all
these wonderful moments in our yearbook comingout soon as Will Blackman with your latest
edition of Sport Court. Hey bears, I'm Will Blackman here with Sport Court
today. I'm going to be takingyou through the postseason of the NBA and
the NHL. Let's start here withthe NBA, as we're already underway here.
(04:14):
As the Calves defeated the Magic lastnight, ninety six to eighty six.
The Calves take a two to nothinglead in that series, along with
the Knicks also taking a two zerolead as they defeated the seventy six Ers
one hundred and four to one hundredand one, a crazy game. The
last final seconds, the seventy sixErs were up one hundred and one to
(04:36):
ninety six. Jalen Brunson knocks ina three with under thirty seconds to go,
a steal in offensive rebound, andDante de Vincenzo knocks in a three
to give the Knicks the lead withunder fifteen seconds to go, and the
seventy six ers could not do anythingabout that. They steal that game and
go up to zero. Heading overto the other game last night, it
(05:00):
was the Nuggets who defeated the Lakersone hundred and one to ninety nine.
The Lakers were up twenty points therein the second half and the Nuggets came
all the way back. Jamal Murrayhit a buzzer beater the closing seconds over
Anthony Davis sunk it. They overcamethat twenty point deficit and they now lead
the series to oh. An amazinggame over on, Nikola Jokic had a
(05:23):
triple double. He had twenty sevenpoints, twenty rebounds, and ten assists.
He's done that four times in hisplayoff career with at least twenty points,
at least twenty rebounds, and atleast twenty assists. Just remarkable play
all over from him. Although theLakers lost, Anthony Davis had a monster
(05:45):
game. He shot fourteen for nineteenfrom the field. He had thirty two
points and eleven rebounds. And ifthis game went to overtime, I think
Anthony Davis would have taken over andpossibly even given the Lakers the win.
We have some more Game two tonightas the Suns visit the Timberwolves Minnesota.
They won Game one by a scoreof one twenty to ninety five over the
(06:08):
Suns. They're looking to make thata two to zero lead on the Suns.
The Pacers are in Milwaukee tonight asthey try to avoid a two to
nothing deficit. They lost to theBucks one hundred and nine to ninety four,
and a remarkable Bucks playoff debut fromDamian Lillard. He had thirty five
(06:30):
in the first half of that gameand just just remarkable what he's doing.
And I expect to see somewhat asimilar game from him tonight. The third
game tonight is the MAVs and theClippers. The Mavericks drop Game one to
the Clippers, who did not haveKawhi Leonard, and they still found a
way to win that game. Theywon that game one hundred and nine to
(06:53):
ninety seven. As we stay onthat topic of the Clippers, I think
they are championship contenders if they playedhow they did and didn't even have their
star player in Kawhi Leonard. Youcombined Russell Westbrook and James Harden and add
Kawhi Leonard to a very good LosAngeles team. I think they could go
(07:15):
far and I could see them takingdown the Nuggets and even go into the
finals. The NBA isn't the onlyplayoffs that are ramping up right now.
The NHL is also a couple gamesdown in that. As we take a
look at the games last night, the Maple Leaves beat the Bruins three to
two to tie up the series. It was the first upset of any team
in the NHL playoffs thus far.Talking about a team that really should have
(07:41):
had an upset, the Islanders weretaken down by the Hurricanes by a score
of five to three. Carolina leadsthat series to nothing. It really should
be tied. The Islanders were upthree to zero and blew a leader.
I don't know how you blow alead like that, and they allowed two
goals in nine seconds to lose thelead. Shout out Pat Burke. I
(08:03):
know he's a big Islander fan,so that one was probably hard to watch
last night. A couple more gamesthat happened last night. The Vegas Golden
Knights beat the Stars four to three. The upset of the eight seed over
the one seed in the West.An amazing game, and they take the
one zero series lead. That wasonly the first game in that series,
(08:26):
rather than the Game two and theother two games. Another series that started
last night were the Oilers and theKings, as Edmonton took down the Kings
seven to four, and Zach Himanwhat a game his first career playoff hat
trick. He scored three goals inthat game. Connor McDavid five assists,
(08:48):
Evan butcherd four assists. Just anamazing offensive game from Edmonton. They scored
seven goals and they're up won nothingin the series. I know there are
some game two tonight in the NBA, but there are also some game twos
in the NHL. The Predators stayin Canada and visit the Canucks. Vancouver
(09:11):
leads that series one nothing after takingthem down four to two at home.
On Sunday night, the Capitals visitNew York and the Rangers hoping to upset
them. They are the eight seedin the East and the Rangers the President's
Cup winners. They have the bestrecord in the NHL. They won Game
one four to one, and withthe way they've been playing all season,
(09:35):
this would not be a shocker tobe a sweep for the Rangers. They
lead that series one to zero, looking to take a two to zero series
lead a couple more games. Tonight, we have the Lightning taking on the
Panthers. The Lightning visiting the Panthers. They have a the Lightning or the
visiting team in this first round. They have a history of being a very
(09:58):
good team in the player, veryfamiliar with the playoffs, and always seem
to make a far run in theplayoffs. But the Panthers take them down
in Game one, three to two. Panthers looking to extend their series lead.
Lightning looking to come into Florida andtie the series. The final Game
two that we have tonight in theNHL Playoffs are the Colorado Avalanche visiting the
(10:24):
Winnipeg Jets. The Jets took homea offensive thriller they won seven to six
on Sunday night. Adam Lowry pitchedin two goals for them on Sunday which
propelled them to victory. As Ipredicted a championship contender for the NBA,
I have my championship contender for theNHL, and that is the Carolina Panthers.
(10:46):
They were down three nothing to theIslanders the other night, but they
really showed that they can battle andovercome adversity, and that's really going to
help them, especially if they haveto face New York later on in the
playoffs. That's all I have foryou today, Thank you so much for
listening for the very last time,I am Will Blackman. Stay class at
(11:07):
MJ, and have a very greatday.
