Speaker 3 (00:27):
Hey, guys, welcome back to Beating the Beach Radio and
sind You get your host wher it's all about his
beautifying Vera Beach and we are diving into something. So
I love this subject so much. It's one of my
favorite topics. Are you ready ageless beauty now, Sinny? Maybe
this is because I just had a birthday, okay, right.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (00:48):
So you know every time you have a birthday, you're
thinking about.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Your age and thank you and it's like, oh boy, okay.
So we're gonna be talking about usualss beauty. We're gonna
talk about secrets to looking and feeling younger, Cindy naturally.
Speaker 6 (01:06):
Yeah, yeah, that's the key, right on board with that, right.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
So we're not talking plastic surgery, we're not talking pills.
So you guys, if you're interested in and feeling younger
and looking younger, naturally stay tuned. So guys, you know,
beauty isn't about chasing perfection okay, or pretending like I.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
Do to still be twenty one.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
It's about embracing every stage of life, taking care of ourselves.
Sindy and I were just chatting about that before we
hit the on button, you know, really taking care of
yourselves and finding ways to feel vibrant, confident and alive.
So no matter no matter what the calendar says, no
matter what your birthday says.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
Right, Cindia, Yeah, I don't go by any of that.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
So if you've ever wondered how to glow right, a
little brighter, feel a little more energetic, which I think
we all want to be, or just keep your spirit young,
this episode is for you.
Speaker 6 (02:07):
Yay, yay, Okay, good.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
Are you ready to dive in, Cindy, I'm ready, yes, okay.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
So, and I love talking to Cindy about this because
she's so no, you are so on board with this.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
So the first thing is a mindset. Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Your mindset is the fountain of youth, all right, So
let's talk about what's going in that head of yours.
So when we think about aging so often we jump
straight to skinker products or diets, right, Okay, So but
the truth is, beauty starts in.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
The mind, you guys.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yeah, it does, it.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
Really really does.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
So I can't tell you how many times I've met
someone who technically has wrinkles, but me, they shine kind
of incredibly with their energy, right.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
And that makes them what, it makes them look younger, right.
Speaker 7 (02:48):
Cindi, does you know My mom used to tell the
story with some of the ants that she had five
six out on whatever it is, and she used to go, oh, yeah,
I love Annie Lou because you know, she'd put on
this like big oomful umpah bathing suit.
Speaker 6 (02:59):
You know, she was a little chumpy or whatever, and.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
They go to the beach.
Speaker 7 (03:03):
We lived on Long Island. They go to the beach,
you know, and she'd be like, oh Mary luddn't Carol.
She made the best sandwiches and she'd put this frock
on on whatever and dip in the water.
Speaker 6 (03:12):
We had the best time with her.
Speaker 7 (03:14):
I know.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
I love those people, and they truly are ageless. You
don't sit there and go, oh gosh, you know she's
ninety years old. You just go, wow, she's fun to
be around.
Speaker 7 (03:22):
Right exactly, And who cares what the bathing suit looks like.
You twenties are done. I get that nobody wants to
leave the twenties, but I mean, you know.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
It's all about the attitude. It's all about the fear.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yes, So gratitude, positivity, and staying socially engaged. We've talked
about that on shows are true beauty secrets. This is
no lie, you guys. Stress shows up on our face.
I know Cinny and I both have you know had
We all have stress, guys.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
Come on, let's face it.
Speaker 6 (03:53):
So.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Stress shows up on our face, It shows up in
our posture, right, it shows up in our energy.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
But oh does joy?
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (04:02):
Right, stress shows up a joy show? Which would you
rather have stress or joy?
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Joy Joy? That's all right?
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (04:08):
Do you know that song that joy?
Speaker 5 (04:09):
Joy Joy Joy? Dot it my heart?
Speaker 8 (04:12):
You don't know that?
Speaker 7 (04:12):
What? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (04:13):
I do?
Speaker 6 (04:13):
I have heard it.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
That's been that's like back and grateful than One of
my favorite tips is to start the day with gratitude practice. Okay,
so maybe you're let's say, walking along the beach here,
maybe you're listening to the waves and you just think
of three things, guys, you're grateful for. It can be
as simple as I'm grateful for my morning coffee.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
I'm grateful for my Tigy. I'm grateful for.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
My ocean breeze. Tigy is her sweet little kiddy. I'm
grateful for my health. I do that one a lot, Cindy.
I'm grateful for my health.
Speaker 6 (04:46):
You know what I do that? Honestly, I do that too.
Speaker 7 (04:48):
And the other thing I do is I because of
you know, my background, I'm like, you know, I got
this really cool house, and you know, I got a
refrigerator full of food, and you know.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
I'm serious at any you know, and there's so many
p people in this world that don't have these things,
and they're basic things, but boy, to someone who doesn't
have it, it's it's worth gold.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Totally.
Speaker 6 (05:08):
Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
So practice gratefulness in the morning. The small practice sets
the tone for your whole day, guys, Okay, And honestly,
it reflects in your beauty. A happy spirit creates a
what a happy face?
Speaker 5 (05:26):
It truly does.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah. You can probably think of people right now, Cindy
that they're negative and they just kind of have like
that scowl on their face, right, and then you think
of people that generally are positive. They just have a
different presence to their to their face. They just glow better.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
And you have to manufacture that.
Speaker 7 (05:48):
I mean, you know, you have to stay with you
have to stick with We all have our messes, yeah,
you know, some deeper than other messes and whatever, but yeah,
you just have to stay with.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
It, all right.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
So you know we're talking about naturally. Now this part
is something you might have to purchase, but it's very minimal.
So we're talking about the mindset. Okay, So that's one
of the ways to stay youthful. The second thing, Cindy,
is skincare that defies age. Now I'm actually talking about sunscreen.
(06:18):
So sunscreen is not that expensive. I think you could
probably get a decent tube for less than ten bucks, right, Cindy. Yeah,
but so yeah, you know, being that we live in
Florida and most of our audiences Florida guys, it's so
important to preserve your skin and sunscreen will do that
for you. So do me a favor. Put that sunscreen on.
(06:40):
And I Cindy, I love. I know you don't wear
a foundation, but for Florida, if you've got one of
those tinted moisturizers, they almost always have a sunscreen, so
you're getting a little bit of coverage, a little bit
of foundation and so easy.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
But make sure you're putting that sunscreen on.
Speaker 6 (07:00):
Sunscreen, syndy, I do, do you?
Speaker 4 (07:02):
I do?
Speaker 6 (07:02):
And I have a cream that actually has sunscreen in
it as well.
Speaker 5 (07:05):
Oh nice, Oh good girl.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Okay, so skincare. The next thing is hydration, you guys.
We've actually had a show just on the hydration. But
in case you miss that, water is life, you guys.
So when you're dehydrated, your skin shows it. And I
know when I'm dehydrated, I feel it.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
Do you feel it?
Speaker 7 (07:26):
You're just like And another thing is if your lips
are chapped like a lot, that's dehydration.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
Yes, it's not.
Speaker 7 (07:32):
Sometimes I lick my lips more during the day or
than other days. I guess, I don't know, but you
can define.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
Almost like shrivel up. It's weird.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
You can feel it.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yes, yes, totally. So A good moisturizer locks in that hydration.
So whether you're drinking the water hydrating on the inside
or a face moisturizer hydrating on the outside, make sure.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
You are doing that.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Even though we live in a place where there's a
lot of humidity, which means there's a lot of water
in the air.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
You still need to hydrate that skin and of course
drink that water.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Next thing is exfoliating. This is one of my favorite
things to do. I am known for where I live
to go and get my mail, and I still have
my mask on my face. And it's not one of
those pretty masks. It's like it's like a charcoal mask.
I look pretty funny.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
They all know it.
Speaker 6 (08:20):
I don't care. So Halloween's every day for you, every.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Day every day. I'm like, I don't care. So general
exfoliant maybe once or twice a week, keep your skin
bright and helps your products absorb better. Guys, you can
pair this with a vitamin C serum and you've got
yourself a good glow going on. If you're wondering what
a mask does, it just takes away the dead skin cells.
You know, we are We're like a snake. We get
(08:44):
new skin, you know, every so many days. And so
if you're not taking that extra time to buff or
put a mask on, it's like dust.
Speaker 5 (08:53):
It just builds up. So get that mask out.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
You need yeah, you do need it. Tuck me off.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Guard or buff you don't have to have one to
stay on. You know, something that you know has an
exfoliate in us.
Speaker 6 (09:08):
That's what I was thinking, that's what I do.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (09:11):
I used to do the masks and stuff with my daughter,
you know, we do it like yeah for fun, Yeah,
for fun or whatever. Now I just don't take the
time for that. But I definitely buff it every day.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Okay, very you coverage and if anybody's watching his screen,
this woman looks.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
Like she's thirty thanks, she's really thirty nine.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
But okay, So for those who love natural remedies, you know,
you don't need to spend a fortune. You can do
Alivera straight from the plant. Do you have any Alivira plants?
Speaker 4 (09:40):
I love it?
Speaker 6 (09:41):
No way, yes I do.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Wow, Well that is that is king Alivera straight from
the plant, coconut oil for moisturizer, uh, and even a
green tea mask.
Speaker 5 (09:52):
So you guys, you don't have to spend a lot
of money.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
These are all powerful and natural ways to calm and
nourish your skin. So h here's a quick little evening
routine for you guys. One clean your skin gently. Everybody
you know hopefully cleans your skin to apply a vitamin
C or an antioxidant serum.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
Vitamin C is so good for the skin, so good,
so good.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
And number three moisturize and finished with an overnight hydration
mask if you want that extra glow.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
So real, basic guys, cleanse, get.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
Maybe some vitamin C on there for a next for antioxidant,
and then hydrate very easy.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
It is easy and.
Speaker 6 (10:32):
It's not expensive. And I told you I went.
Speaker 7 (10:34):
Through this stage where I would use a tomato whatever
and just rub it off my skin. It was I
love the smell of it. I know it sounds weird,
but I did and it worked. There's your vitamin C.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
Hey, you were the tomato trend before the tomato trap.
I'm saying, before the TikTok tomato.
Speaker 6 (10:52):
Try yes, okay.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
The third things we're talking about staying young, nutrition and
inner glow.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
Yeah okay.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
So what we eat absolutely shows up on our face.
I know you've probably heard that forever, but it's so true.
Foods rich in antioxidants like berries, leafy greens, and even
dark chocolate.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Yep, I said the word chocolate.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
It's got to be dark in moderation can protect your
skin from aging. So Omega threes from salmon, walnuts, or
flock seeds help keep skin plump and hydrated.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Words we love right in the skin care industry.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Yep, don't forget nuts and seeds, little powerhouses for your.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
Hair, your nails, and your skin. So I love nuts.
I do.
Speaker 6 (11:42):
I do too.
Speaker 7 (11:42):
I like cashews. I'm not an almond person. I know
they're like a big deal. And the other thing I
eat continually is coalslaw and cabbage, raw cabbage.
Speaker 8 (11:51):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
I love me some coal slaw. I'm a Southern girl.
Give me cool slav.
Speaker 7 (11:55):
Yeah, I love it. I even make salads out of it.
I know that's not silly, not coalslaw, but just salad
with whatever.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
I just chop it up and I love it.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
So there is something fairly new to me.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
I don't know if it's new to the market, but
I just, uh, I just recognize it recently at the
grocery store. It's called skinny dipped, and it's almonds dipped
in dark chocolate.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
Okay, it is so good.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
So you're getting your your your nuts, but you're also
getting that dark chocolate. And it's very thin, super thin layer.
And it's called I think skinny dipped. It's so good.
Speaker 7 (12:28):
Dark chocolate has got quite the unique recipe as far
as high end, you know what I mean, it's way
different than milk chocolate. Milk chocolate's a lot more sugar
in it, and you know all about the chocolate some
of the recipes I do. I actually went to Chocolate University.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
Oh wait, wait, I didn't know that.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Oh yeah I did. I went to Chocolate Universal.
Speaker 5 (12:46):
Oh my gosh, yeah I did. Yeah, so is it.
It's not hype that dark chocolate truly, it.
Speaker 7 (12:52):
Is totally good, and you know what, it's as high
end ingredients and stuff, not as much sugar in that. Yeah, okay,
where white chocolate's all a confection, it's not really chocolate.
You know.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
It's interesting, Cindy.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
I ever since I've read that dark chocolate is better,
I do like a little sweet at night.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
So ies just.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Started buying dark chocolate bars and then I'll just have
like one or two squares at night to get that
sweet and I'm good with it.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
It works.
Speaker 7 (13:22):
But if you taste a milk chocolate next to the
dark chalcol incence, oh definitely tastes well.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
It's funny.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
I still have hers. She kisses the regular milk chocolate
in my in my cabinet and I went to have one.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
It was too sweet. I can't believe I'm saying that it.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
Is too sweet.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
And I was like, ooh yeah, yeah, way different.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Okay, So all right, so we're talking about, you know,
the nuts and the dark chocolate. So on the flip side, guys, okay,
so we're talking about the good food.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
So on the flip side, sugar. Okay, we're talking about
dark chocolate. So that's okay.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
But sugar and processed foods break down collagen and celer
rate the W word, which is wrinkles.
Speaker 6 (14:04):
Oh I didn't know that.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Yes, yes, sugar, and I'm gonna say it again.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Sugar and processed foods break down collagen, which is what
holds our skin together. It's like the mortar to the bricks. Okay,
so that's it holds all those cells together. So it
breaks down collagen and accelerate wrinkles. So I know it's
hard to say no to sweets. I literally had an
ice cream cone. I met a friend at Chick fil A,
(14:28):
and I couldn't resist. I do love their little ice
cream cones, but for the most part, guys really try
to resist that because it does does affect your skin.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
It truly does.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
So speaking of collagen, bone broth or collagen supplements can
give your skin that extra support. It's like feeding your
skin from the inside out. And you know, it's so funny, Cindy.
You know, I'm in the makeup industry and I just
did a whole shoot.
Speaker 5 (14:57):
On bone broth. I didn't know that was a thing.
Speaker 6 (15:00):
It's been a thing for a little while.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
I love it.
Speaker 7 (15:02):
It's been a thing for It's get pricey, Yeah, it
can get pricey if you get some you know, really
quality bone boil.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
I absolutely love it.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Apparently one of the big draws for it. It's got
tons of protein in it.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
It does.
Speaker 7 (15:17):
Huh, it does, And you have to get the bone broth.
I'm going to say, I'm going to say the wrong thing,
is it b I'm not going to say it right, Okay,
but definitely get it.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
I love it.
Speaker 6 (15:30):
Yeah, very It's very rich.
Speaker 5 (15:32):
Huh, this is so crazy. Literally, it was a.
Speaker 6 (15:35):
Stock, that's what it is. Oh, you don't want the
stock or whatever, I don't want the style.
Speaker 7 (15:41):
You can get it, but it's not as intense as
bone broth.
Speaker 5 (15:44):
Okay, got it, got it?
Speaker 6 (15:46):
Okay, like chicken stock, beef stock, that kind of right.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Yeah, yes, I'm literally I've actually I'm doing another shoot
with this bone broth commercial tomorrow and uh, it's fascina.
Speaker 5 (16:00):
It really is.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Try it.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
It's delicious.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Yeah, I've actually asked to have one of the packets.
So we'll see here, I'll let you know. But here's
a simple recipe. It's not bone broth, but something fresh
and really easy for you guys to do that would
be so good for your skin, your body.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
So you take a cup of almond milk.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
If you don't like almond and milk, you know, maybe
do one of the others. But almond milk, a handful
of spinach, a half cup of frozen beerries, a tablespoon
of chia seeds.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
Chia seeds are so good for you.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
And if you want even maybe a scoop of collagen
powder it looks like protein powder. Yeah, and you just
blend it and it really is delicious and it's so
good for you.
Speaker 5 (16:45):
You could have it like for breakfast or even a snack.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that sounds good.
Speaker 6 (16:49):
Gia seeds. I did that for a while, I kind
of got out of it.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Yeah, it's not something you think, Oh, I'm gonna go
buy some chia seeds, right, I will go buy some
skinny dipped almonds, but I forget about the gcs.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
So the next thing before we go to station break
on staying young is movement and vitality. And I've been
listening to an audible book right now and it says
it's actually most of you may know. It's called Younger
Next Year, and this doctor is the one that wrote it,
and he's like, just move, just move.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
If you move every day, you will stay younger longer.
So okay.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
So exercise boost circulation, which delivers oxygen and nutrients to
your skin. It reduces stress, which reduces those worry lines
okay on our face, and it strengthens muscles so we
can stand taller and more confident. And yoga also is
a very wonderful thing to do. It's very flexible, peace
(17:52):
of mind. Just move, And I know my preference is
to run. Cindy, you swim.
Speaker 6 (17:59):
I do, yeah, I love it.
Speaker 5 (18:01):
So we both are.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
We're moving our bodies every week, and it makes such
a big.
Speaker 6 (18:07):
Difference, it does.
Speaker 7 (18:08):
You know, even when I started swimming, like it's almost
a year ago, my joints don't even hurt any longer.
When I was kind of starting getting those aches and whatever,
I'm like, they don't even hurt me anymore.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
That's amazing.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 5 (18:20):
Golly you guys.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
I have one more tip for you, but we're gonna
go to a station break, so stay with us.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
We'll be right back.

(22:00):
about looking and feeling young. You know, I just had
a birthday, and it's funny people ask me how old
I am.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
I won't tell him. I say I won't.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
I'm like, you know what I feel, thirty nine, So
that's my age. I'm going to tell you I'm thirty nine, okay,
And that's it's funny. My dad would turn thirty nine
every year and then his kids were getting a little
bit older and had he had to adjust it. But yeah,
so anyway, but we're talking about looking and feeling younger.
(22:32):
And you know, the last thing I'm going to close
out with on this topic is lifestyle habits. Okay, now, okay, Yeah,
we talked about sleep.
Speaker 5 (22:47):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
One thing you can do, it's free, it's easy. Get
more sleep. Yeah, most people don't give it enough credit.
But it will make you look and feel younger. I
promise you if you get a night's sleep. Okay, So
I'm not going to harbor on that because we had
a whole whole show on sleep.
Speaker 9 (23:05):
We did.
Speaker 8 (23:05):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (23:06):
The second thing is avoid habits that steal your beauty.
What would you think that is, Cindy, When I say
habits habit.
Speaker 6 (23:14):
Well, cigarette, smoking, drink and those kind of.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Exactly smoking, excess alcohol and too much stress.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Well yeah, yeah, and I know.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
And you know what, Cindy, I realized some people have
situations you can't control. And maybe you have to stay
in a job that you're not crazy about, but you're
supporting the family. You know, maybe it's a relationship that
it's just you just you know, you.
Speaker 5 (23:36):
Can't change it. Right now, I mean, I get it.
Figure out though, how you can relieve that stress.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Whether it's the meditating, whether it's taking a yoga class right,
whether it's meeting a friend for coffee so that you
can you.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Know, vent, whatever it takes.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
But really try to eliminate those those stress inducing habits.
Speaker 7 (24:00):
And you have to laugh, you know a lot. Yeah,
I mean even if you're in I've been in dire situations.
You've been in dire situations. I mean, you know, I yes,
I take it seriously. At the end of the day,
you got to get some kind of a laugh or positive.
Spin it to a positive. There's always a positive and sinyways.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
That is such a great thing to close on real fast.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
I was reading something where this woman had cancer and
she decided that she was going to be positive and
she watched funny movies every night.
Speaker 5 (24:30):
She was cured. You know, it took more than that, guys.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
I'm not saying watch a funny thing and it's gonna
you know, but it kept her positive and it made
all the difference in the world.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
Well, those are the vibes that are in your body.
And you know what, you can feel that, that's right.
You can feel the negativity. You can feel the positivity all.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
Right, I hope you can feel our love. We love you, guys.
We'll see you next week.
