and today I am so excited. All right, so here
I'm going to give you a few words. Are you ready?
Autumn leaves okay, crisp Air, Golden Hour, Harvest, pumpkin pat bonfire.

(00:57):
How does that make you feel? What do you think about? Cindy?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I love this. I can I can smell it and
the toasted Yes, we're in the nutmeg all at pumpkins.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yes, guys, fall is in the air. We live in Florida.
We do have fall.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
And the temperature went from ninety nine to ninety eight.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Yeah, no, it's actually wait wait, okay, it's worth this.
But you know what, Actually, I had this conversation with
somebody the other day and it seems like the humidity
dropped like maybe around Labor Day ish, would it did?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
It was like one morning I woke up, went outside.
I would like you could tell the humidity was gone
for that moment, you know, and anybody else that comes
into our state would go, are you kidding? It's so humid?
But for us coming out of summer at one hundred
percent humidity, it felt so good. And it probably only

(01:52):
dropped five percent, but it felt amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Yeah, but the temperature one the tampatoa is a friend
of mine used to say, it's the tampatoa. It dropped, yeah,
ten degrees.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
No, it is beautiful and I can finally sit outside
on my porch. Oh my gosh, and it's just magical.
These are the times, Cindy, that we go, we are
so glad we live in Florida.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Well for the next eight months.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Right right, this is our jam right now, I mean,
oh my gosh, So fall us in the air and
just like the season shift you guys, so can we.
So today I'm sharing how to beautify your life, okay,
your health and even your business. So this fall you

(02:38):
can step into a season refreshed and glowing. So you're
ready to get started? Are you ready to Cindy, I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Okay, so you're always ready. So first of all, let's
talk about beautifying your life for fall. Okay, So okay,
first of all, cozy up your space. Now that can
be with candles, fall decor, or maybe decluttering for mental clarity,
which is I was gonna say, Cindy, which of those
sound good to you?

Speaker 3 (03:06):
You know what? I just did it, and I did
my living room over. This is gonna sound horrible, but
I'm gonna admit to it. I bought some rugs like
a year ago. I think I said this on another show.
May not have been your show, doesn't matter. And I decided,
you know, I'm going to do the pre fall. And
I stripped the whole living room, the clean everything whatever,
and I was, I'm going to put some rugs down,
and I did that where you layer them, so I

(03:28):
have a couple of different area round or whatever like that.
I love it. Oh, I absolutely, it's so cozy.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I love that. Yeah, I love that so well. I
am a candle queen and I am the pumpkin spice queen,
so when I can get pumpkin spice.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Candles, oh my gosh, I mean.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
It's like fall in a glass jar. So, uh, that
is my instinct go to when I went a cozy
up a space for fall. Let's get the pumpkin spice candles.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
I love the I have a green eh.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Okay, well, but I do love Christmas to buy the
pine cones with a cinnamon in them.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Oh yeah, I used to put those in my car,
the cinnamon brooms.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yes, yes, same thing right, Oh my gosh, does that
just smell wonderful? Okay, we're gonna focus on fall the holidays.
We'll put that on the holiday program. But so yeah,
cozy up your space, whether it's Cindy's rugs, maybe you're
changing out a little bit of the decor candles. I
know a friend of mine I was shopping with her

(04:34):
recently and she bought a it.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Was a little cute Halloween throw blanket.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
You're right there. You need to put on a.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Chair or a couch. So it doesn't have to be expensive,
you guys. I mean, candles are less than ten bucks.
You could do that or, like like Cindy, a rug
or as simple as a throw something to cozy up
your space. Even you can buy a like one cute pillow.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Okay, so there you go, so okay, so hold on, my.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Notes are falling? What's going on over here? Okay? So
cozy app So that's one way to beautify your life
or fall cose you up your space. The next thing
is daily rituals for balance. So now this could be journaling,
gratitude walks, maybe a fall bucket list. Do you have
anything on a fall bucket list?

Speaker 3 (05:32):
That's great?

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Like I don't do hike although we don't have hills
to hike here, but you could maybe do like a
day drive to Georgia or something like that, or hike
the beach, hike the beach.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Sure, we don't have to go in the woods. You
know what, I don't really do bucket lists. I could
just do stuff with spur in the moment. Yeah yeah,
that kind of thing. So yeah, that sounds good. I'll
have to do that.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Fall bucket list could be a field trip to Starbucks
and get your you know, your your latte. You're a
pumpkin spice latte. So but I love that. So even
a gratitude walk, Like right now, it's so beautiful out
and like Cindy said, you could go to the beach.
Walk the beach walk your neighborhood, take your dog. It's

(06:16):
just so nice to be outside right now.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
And we have trails and stuff too, We do, We
do have some really gorgeous trails. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Absolutely, Okay, So the next way to beautify your life,
we're talking about your space. We're talking about maybe some
balance with maybe gratitude, walks, journaling. The next one is
a wardrobe refresh. And Cindy was just saying to you,
want to tell him about your your off my dress.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
I said, I feel like I'm wearing my living room curtains.
So I'm going to be distress. Is going by by?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
She's like, this is going by byas So, guys, you
know and I do the same thing. If I put
something on and I just don't feel pretty, it's gone.
It's either threfted or to fit how long I've had it,
it may just end up in the trash. So you
want to feel nice, and so going into fall, I
try to wear something. I've got kind of a burt

(07:09):
orange on today to kind of get ready for fall.
Definitely get out your darker colors, but yeah, change your wardrobe.
Just get one or two items that you know, we
don't really wear a flannel here, but you know, sometimes
it's cute to wear. You know, it's like a little jacket.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Two days a week, two days a year, you can
do it. Mike. One of my best friends interior decorator.
She is, uh, that's what shul do. And the season
changed by like two or three. Yeah, and that and
then she pitches them, Yeah, wears them to death, wears
them to death. That every time you see her, it's that.
But yeah, yeah, just thrifted or day to her friend.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Yeah. Absolutely, So again, you don't have to spend a
lot of money, you guys. Maybe a candle for your
to cozy up your space, go on a walk outside
for your daily.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Ritual, and then wardrobe refresh.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Use Cindy's advice, get one or two items and nice
dark colors, fall colors, burning these dark green, beautiful browns,
those type of things. Just mix it up a little bit.
Go from maybe flip flops to close toed, you know, shoes,
things like that, easy breezy. Okay, So we've beautified your

(08:21):
life a few few things to help get ready for fall.
The next thing is beautify your health for fall. Okay,
So you want to be able to be outside and
enjoy it. And be in good health. So the first thing, okay,
is your skin and body. So, believe it or not,
our skin does change during the fall with less humidity.
That means our skin's going to be a little bit drier.

(08:42):
So hydration is important. Gentle exfoliation because you are a
little bit drier, you're gonna have the dead skin cells.
So little extra exfoliation richer moisturizers. So so keep that
in mind. Just up your moisturizer a little bit. Up
that exfoliation. Okay. The next thing is immune boosters. Okay,

(09:04):
so healthier skin with a moisturizer and then and then
immune boosters. These can be seasonal foods like pumpkin or squash.
Do you like both of those?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Days? I do like both of them. Yeah I do.
I mean actually eaten a lot of them raw too, well.
A squash definitely roll on like salads and stuff. I
ate a lot of raw vegetables.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah you do. The first time I've ever heard anybody
eat a raw potato is you. I still have not
try that. I don't really care to, but I gotta
say my mom makes the best, and she's not a cook,
but we would grow pumpkin all the time in the
pumpkin and squash in the garden, and she would make
pumpkin pies, pumpkin bread, squash bread, and not the yellow

(09:46):
squash but the butternut squash.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Oh okay, because I was gonna say zucchini.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
No butternut squash.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
I just made butternut squash soup I gave you saw, Yes,
I do.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
So good, Yeah, so so good.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Yeah. And it wasn't a lot of you know, hardly
any calories in it.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Love that. Make that for me anytime Sinday. So definitely
get those immune boosters, seasonal, seasonal foods, life, pumpkin and squash.
And the next thing is stress care. Okay, so again
we're talking about health for fall. So this could be yoga, meditation,
or even just more mindful beach walks. Back to what
Cindy said again, cheap easy, we're right here at the beach.

(10:28):
It's amazing. It is amazing what a walk will do.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
And plus that salt air is the best thing for you.
It really tired some days, but it is the best
for you, you know.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
And it's funny we get used to it, but when
I travel, I don't know if you're this with Cindy,
and then you come back on the plane, you get
off and you're you're just going literally off the plane
onto them the walkway, and you smell the salt air.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
You do.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
You get used to it when you're here, but when
you go away and come back and you land, you're like,
and I love it. I love smelling the salt air.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
I grew up at the ocean, so I mean I
missed it when I was in the Midwest and whatever. Yeah,
and the West Coast is the Ocean's on the wrong side,
so I can't stay up there too.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
I had someone recently, someone recently was like, I love
the ocean, but I like the West Coast. I said, nope,
I'm in the East Coast. And he's like, oh, you
like sunrises versus sunsets. I said, well, I'm not really
a morning person, but I still want to be on
the East coast.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
It's on the right, it's on the correct side.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, exactly. All right, So we beautified your life, we
beautified your health. The next thing we want to do
is beautify your business for fall. So okay again, Fall
refresh update, branding, colors, seasonal promotions, cozy customer experiences that
might be you know, buy one, get one of whatever

(11:54):
it is that you're promoting for fall. I love coffee,
so I'm going to pick on coffee, you know, come
in and get your or you know, pumpkin latte. Uh,
you know I would't get one Starbucks? Please me? What
one for the for the show? Marketing, makeover, fresh photos,
maybe a new bio or Instagram fall aesthetics, you know,

(12:18):
maybe change the colors up, you know, add some fall
fall pictures, you know, make it look relevant. Networking, seasonal mixers,
charity gallas or community events to connect with. So one tip,
beautify your business just like you would your home. Clear

(12:39):
out what's stale and bring what's fresh. That's the bottom line.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
You know what. And it makes you think about it.
Like I said, when I was doing the rugs in
the living room, you know, I looked at it and
I said, oh, I can't believe the dust in some
of these places. You know. I hate to say that.
I mean I have vacuum and all that kind of stuff,
but still it just was like a whole fresher. Yeah,
it just was I'm like, I should do this more often.
Why don't I do it? Like summer and whatever?

Speaker 1 (13:05):
So that that is a good analogy, Cindy. Dust off
whatever it is that's collecting dust, whether it's a product,
whether it's a rug, whether it's it's your photo that's
not been updated for ten years, dust that off, get
a new one done. Yeah. I love that it is.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Yeah, and your whole mindset changes, so it dusts off
your thoughts. It really does. I was amazed. I was
like proud of myself that I did that. Why didn't
I wait so long?

Speaker 1 (13:35):
I know? Isn't that crazy? How we do that?

Speaker 3 (13:37):
You and I have talked. I'm going through my rooms
like a buzzsaw, just like this stress. If I had
a T shirt on, I pitch the dress, right. I
mean I've had enough.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
I love it. I love it. So yeah, I you
know I would say pick one thing, to be honest.
So I want to share with you my things. You know,
we're talking about your life, your health, your business. I
want to share with you things that I'm gonna do.
And then I'm gonna ask Sidy what she's going to do.
So even though she's already done, you get a new list, Indy.

(14:11):
So here we go. So here are the three areas
to focus. We talked about life, health and business. So
for my life, I am going to swap This is
so simple and easy. I'm going to swap my summer
bright pillows for cozy fall tones in my living room
to make my space feel fresh. Okay, easy, pillows are cheap.

(14:32):
What are you going to do to beautify your life, Sindy?
Any thoughts on that you mean for my living room?

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Well, one of the main things that I want to
do is, and this is boring as anything, is to
actually finish painting my house. And the other thing is
I have a plan on the side of my yard
to fix the fence and put actually plants in there.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yeah, I mean it's a month, big undertaking, but I'm like,
I got to get this done.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Well, that is beauty and I'm a huge fan of plants,
and sometimes that's all you need is just a new
plant to spruce up and gives you new life. Right, Okay,
So beautifying my health, I'm committed to adding more seasonal
veggies into my dinners, like squash.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
And sweet potatoes and.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Not raw, not raw to boost my fall glow. Any
thought Sindy on what you want to do to boost
your health for the fall.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
So what I've been doing is swimming almost well ate
nine months, so I swim three days a week, and
now I've started even more intensely but not crazy, lifting weights.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
What.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yeah, I did it.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
I did it a long time ago when I trained
for marathons or whatever I did. And I know the
benefit of it, yeah, I know the total benefit. And
I learned something on a show that I did this
week too, and I'm hoping I can remember exactly what
it was. But they were talking about in you know,
like the old days, people drank regular milk, cow's milk, yes,

(16:04):
kind of thing, and dairy Farm okay, did three big
things in their D three magnesium and what was the
other one? Oh, I can't remember now. I knew I
was going to forget it calcium, calcium, but it was
some kind of maybe it was calcium. And they were
saying that you have to have those three together, like
you can't. I didn't know this, you can't do like
D three or whatever. So I'm mindful of that now

(16:26):
after listening to that show, because I do drink a
glass of milk before I go to bed every day.
I know I sound like I'm agent year.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Old, but I do total rock.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Well right there, I love it, totally do that. I
love that.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Okay, So add a real glass of milk every night people,
I think that's.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
A good idea. Yeah, some people are lactose intolerant. They
did talk about the lactose and that being sugar. Yeah,
but I mean I'm talking about four ounces right right.
I mean I'm not drinking and you know, a twenty
ounce glass of milk.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
I love. I love it milk.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
I love milk.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Like I said, I grew up my best friend was
had a dairy farm, and my brother would go and
help milk the cows every morning before school with her brother,
and I still remember that. They'd always have a fresh
thing of real milk and refrigerator and after school we'd
have milk and cookies and I mean the whole bits amazing.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
I loved it. Yeah, I still love it.

Speaker 6 (17:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Okay. So the last thing beautifying my business. So this
week I'm going to refresh my social photos with a
little fall aesthetic to keep things looking current. So you've
got so many things you're doing with your businesses, and
any thoughts on how you want to kind of freshen
up for the fall.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
You know what? I just want to get it more streamlined. Okay,
I've been mic all over the place. Now I'm working
on streamlined and.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Well, we talked about decluttering in the beginning, so absolutely,
because that helps you to really think straight and feel
good and lighter and fresher. So that's what is about
for fall. Guys. We have to go to a station break,
but stay with us. We're going to be drinking our
pumpkins spice lattes.

Speaker 3 (18:06):

We are talking about getting you ready for fall, getting

(21:49):
you excited for fall, and Cindy one of the things
that happens at home in Virginia. Cam. I don't think
you can really do it here, but my mom during
the fall, she'll switch the sheets to flannel sheets.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Oh it's so cozy. Yeah, I mean we can't do
it here in Florida.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
We would cook it doesn't get that chili.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
But did you did you? Do you so when I've
ever done that? Yes, I have. When I was up
in New Hampshire. I was there for like six seven
years on and off, back and forth here and we
did that. And the other thing that my daughter does
it because her house is the air conditioning. I swears
on fifty but she claims not. They have electric blankets.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Oh. I love that, But I work really hard on
the weekend, so sometimes I think I want one, just
I guess maybe to you know, cozy, well, to relax
my muscles because I'm you know, on my feet and
I don't have one yet.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
They my daughter uses it all the time. They do wow,
And I was like really, And I'm like, well, it's
like a meat locker here. I guess.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
It's funny. People think we don't own coats in Florida,
but we actually do.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Yeah, we do. We actually do. Well, that's the Florida lifestyle.
Shorts flip flaps on a coat, you should win or retire. Yeah,
that's true. That's true.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
You know, Sindy also too. You know, we're talking about
just getting excited about fall and kind of doing that
refresh and we talked.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
About changing pillows or rugs and maybe decluttering.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
You know.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
Another simple thing you can do is go get a
paedicure and a pedicure you can get it for less
than fifty dollars and get yourself a beautiful you know,
fall color on your toes. And if you don't want
to spend the money, go to a drugstore and buy
a pretty little bottle of maybe a dark red.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Or they have all kinds of burning done orange ones
before brown.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Orange, even for the holiday, for Halloween. But that's less
than ten dollars, and you can do something that makes
just kind of brightens your mood different.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Well, it changes the it changes the moon this season,
yes it does.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
And the other thing you can do, if you just
for ladies, if you want to quick fix, is change
your lipstick absolutely, you know, again for less than well
for round ten dollars, you can go to the Dirk
store and just for fun, buy something that is a
little darker, you know again, the Burgundies, the Brown's chocolates
even or a gloss and that could just totally keep

(24:30):
you on trend for the season and just give you
a little lift.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Yeah, yeah, I agree.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
So guys, pick your pick your fall thing you're going
to do. I'm going to go change out by pillows tonight,
and uh, Cindy, I guess you're going to plant some plants.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
