Every year I've missed you. We have so much catching
up to do, we do I know I want to
hear all about your year.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I know it was a great year last year, and
you keep improving on all your things, your sleigh, your
your your you know, I don't know, did you electric?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
I can't remember if you were going to go electric
on the slide? Okay, that's good.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
You know. You can't put out the fear out, you know,
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
But they need a break every once in a while.
So they're good.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
They're good enough breaks.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
They gonna they get eleven months and how many days?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah, Well, you know what, Let's get right down to it, Santa,
because everybody wants to know, especially in Via Beach, whether they're.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
On the naughty or nice list.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
And that was the first question that the studio asked
you when you walked in, right, are we on the
naughty or nice list?

Speaker 1 (02:00):
So I'm want to get right down to it. So
let's get started.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
I think you brought your list. I did, okay, So
which one do you want to start with?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Start with naughty? I like to end on a good note.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Okay, I love that. Okay, so guys, listen up.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Sanna brought his naughty list and uh here, oh yep,
here we go.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Oh gosh, I'm kind of nervous. Sinda, you are you nervous?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
You're not naughty though you're nice where She's like, I
don't want to lie, then I'm gonna be on the doughty, right, Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Let me put myself on camera. Do I look naughty
or not? You look adorable? You look like okay? All right, Santa,
here we go the naughty list.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Okay, okay. The first one I have top four Okay,
it's Ricky mc sneaky.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Ricky mc sneaky, you cut.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
In line at the pack mail on Beachland because they're
just asking one quick question.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Oh cool, Sanna. I do not like that. No, that
really drives me crazy. But they're like, oh I just
need and you've like waited ten minutes in line taking turn.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Everybody should exactly there you.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Go, all right, Ricky mcsneaky.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Okay. The second one is Tina Tinsel Trouble.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Oh, Tina Tinsel.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Which really trouble should be the middle name.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Okay, but Tina Trouble.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yes, who honked the second the light turned green on
US one and sixty. Santa says, patience is a virtue? Yes?

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yes? Is that a gift? Can you give that during Christmas?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Because oh if I could, it would be so nice.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Oh my goodness, It's like, come on, people, it's the
time of year to be happy, not grumpy.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Most people, do you know? It seemed to be a
lot nicer right now.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
All right, well Tina, wait your turn in Lineup's time? Okay?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Who else is no Nate, No noel, Nate, no no out.
I tell you who steals seashells at the beach that
still have a hermicrab inside A big no no. Those
and live starfish are not good. Wah wah.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I'm glad you noticed him doing that. So good.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Oh I was walking on the beach.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Yeah, good call out on that, Sanna. You probably had
your Hawaiian shirt on and he didn't recognize you.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Yeah, I don't know. The beer kind of gives it away.
But the last one is Benny Ben's the rules. Who
took half the plate of garlic, cheese and cracker samples
from the Sam's Club demo station. I saw it so rude.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
It's so rude.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
You're standing in line to get those little snacks and
then they just stealing.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
All that is so bad. I'm so glad you called
that one out, Santa.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
He made a mess.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
I mean who doesn't love garlic and cheese. Oh my gosh.
All right, Sana, So that was a good short list
that I was.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
You know, I try to keep the naughty list to
a minimum. Okay, yeah, kind of great on a curve.
I like that, all right, good, So all right, well
some good ones.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Okay, So guys, here we are the nice list.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Hopefully there were nice people here.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
All right, Cindy, let's see we're on the list. Okay,
drum roll, okay.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Holly Brightman. Holly returned her shopping cart during holiday madness
at Miracle Mile Public's. Santa loves a good parking lot manners.
Oh and that is a parking lot that you really
need to have manners.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yes, so it's like bumper cars.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Goodness.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yes, I'm so glad that you You gave her a nice,
nice check on that one.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
That and my dad does that, Santa? Does that mean
he's on the nice list to here?

Speaker 4 (05:36):
He is?

Speaker 3 (05:37):
He always returns the golf cart, oh lord, the shopping cart.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
He always, even if it's a mile away from the car.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
He actually push him in, Yes he does.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
He doesn't just put it.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
You know, some people cheat and they just kind of
put it over the bumper. They don't even put it
in the little corral.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
No, he takes it to the corral.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
They've already walked all that way. Yeah, yep, okay. Number
two is Charlie Goodwin who checks on his elderly neighbors
and helps take out the trash for all of them.
That is so nice.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
That is so nice. Well, way a shout out to
Charlie on that one.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Hopefully we have a lot more people helping our elderly neighbors, right, Cindy, Yeah,
I like that.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yay Charlie. Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Then we have bella snowflake who wrote thank you notes
this year without being begged by her parents forty seven times.
By the way, your dad would like you to. Don't
forget to thank you? Not do they do?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Kids still write thank you notes? Sanna?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah? They should, they should.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
They should absolutely so they could all get on the
nice list if they just do some some thank you cards.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Okay, I'll have to add that to my list when
I talk to kids.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
I like that, Yes, and not just a text? Yes, yes, yes, yes,
oh amen. Let me see if Santa's right on this one.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Let's see if I have let me see what this
sounds like Oh yeah, that sounds.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Like a Santa ghost.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Okay. One more okay is Teddy Merriweather. He picks up
trash on the beach, especially the plastic drinking straws and
water bottles. Thank you. Yeah, you should always take a
trash bag with you if you're taking doing a walk
on the beach.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Yes, we you know, unfortunately we still have trash and
we love our beaches. So thank you Santa for making
sure you're really patting those people on the back that
do that.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
The people you don't who are doing things that aren't
looking for see if somebody sees them doing it eight
or asking for you know, praise, and that's what that's
even better, you know.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
I love that. I love that so much, so Santa.
In years past we have read letters.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
From children we have, okay, and so this year we've
had a few pet owners that said that the pets
wanted to send you a letter.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
So we have to. Okay, So if you want to
go ahead, this is.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Your fan mail, and uh, I don't know, let's let's
see what.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Let's see what it says. Letters to Santa. Hats that
can write, I know, it's pretty cool. That's a good talent.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Right, I read all Yeah, maybe it was maybe the
parents wrote it.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Oh that was Santa.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Oh ah, buddy, buddy, okay, buddy, not the elf.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Oh not yes, not the elf, It says, Dear Santa,
I hope this letter finds you well. I have done
my very best to be a good dog this year.
I only chewed one pair of shoes and it was
an accident. Mostly I have protected the house from squirrels,
delivery drivers, and suspicious leaves blowing across the yard. For Christmas,

(09:00):
would be most grateful for a new squeaky toy, an
extra soft blanket, and perhaps a treat or two. But
what I would most, what I'd love most is time
with my family. They are my whole world. Thank you, Sanna,
and be safe travels to you and the reindeer warmest

(09:20):
Wolf's buddy. That was good. Sounds like a fun individual.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
To have, So I think you could grant his wish
to have a little more with his.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Family, and I might be able to find a few extra.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Little squeaky toy as well.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yeah, and the treats, oh I love?

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Do you carry treats in your back?

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Always? Always?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Not not cookies, but like.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Oh no, no really? For dogs and treats for cats.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Nice. I love that.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
I used to only carry them for the dogs, and
then the cats. You started to give me dirty looks.
So and I am a cat.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Person, so you know, well, maybe there's maybe there's a
letter from a cat. Let's see.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
See, Oh we do how nice says here, Dear Santa,
I trust you are keeping busy preparing for the season
this year. I believe I've been exceptionally well behaved. Yes,
I pushed a few ornaments off the tree, but only
to test gravity for scientific purposes. I had supervised my

(10:23):
household with great diligence, and have provided moral support by
sitting on important papers at all the right moments. For Christmas,
I would very much appreciate a new feather wand a
luxurious bed, preferably warmer than any human lap, and a
window perch with a view of birds. Wishing you a

(10:46):
peaceful journey on Christmas Eve with dignified regards. Princess Whiskers,
Oohncess Whiskers, I like how she rolls, definitely, and being
a cat person, yeah, these are the ones. Cats always
are graded on a curve, and I love cats. I mean,
that's the best place.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Oh, Cindy makes me think of Tige.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Tiger would do that? Tiger? Would you ever hit the
ornaments on the tree? No, No, he didn't do that.
It was a good boy.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
My growing up, we had cats, Sanna, and so my
parents would put the cheap paper ornaments on the bottom
part of the trees so if they you know, they
they wouldn't break. And so yeah, we would specifically have
ornaments just so the cats could play with those and
not break them.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Yeah, I never.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Thought of that.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
I know, pretty funny, right, that's so sweet, Sanna. I
want to have more pet definitely, maybe next year, forget.
I love that they're so special to us. And I'm
sure you see a lot of animals even when the
families are.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Asleep, they're waiting for you.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Yes, yes, yes, they're the secret keepers of you, aren't they. Yes,
we're gonna do some rapid fire. So I'm just gonna
ask you some questions and you're just gonna answer quickly
like whatever comes to your mind.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Okay, you ready?

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Sure?

Speaker 5 (12:09):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
First one's super easy milk or cookies, which disappears first
at the North.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Pole Cookies Milk always follows.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Milk always follows. Okay, cookies first.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Okay, what's your who or what's your favorite reindeer besides Rudolph?

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Probably Blitzen Blitzen.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Okay, we won't tell Elf made toys or Amazon Prime
what's faster?

Speaker 2 (12:38):
You know, that's just it. Amazon doesn't make toys. We
have to make them and deliver them.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Okay, it's applause for they don't. Oh, bravo, bravo. Okay,
good one. Naughty or nice?

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Which list is harder to keep track of?

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Hmmm? Probably nice because the naughty a lot of times
with the children is getting smaller. We're trying to push
things where, you know, give kids a chance to uh
make things good. Okay, so there's a lot more kids
on the nice list. Oh.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I like that. That's a good problem to.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Have, right, it is? It is?

Speaker 1 (13:19):
I love that, all right? Saying a hot cocoa or
eggnog cocoa?

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Okay, uh, all right? Do you wrap gifts gifts or
do you use your magic?

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Neither? What? I don't rap gifts? Okay, ask missus Claus.
But we do have a whole section. L's who are
rap gifts? Okay, some make toys, some rap gifts. I
love it because it's not something you can do all
at once. As they make them, you know they're taken
care of, right then I love it.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Okay, final one chimneys or front doors?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Which do I prefer? Yeah, a chimney as long as
there's no fire.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
You know, I've never.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Asked you if there's a fire, do you carry an
extinguisher somewhere?

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Do you just have magic that? It's okay? So all right,
So okay, Sanna, It's good to be you. It does
have its perks. Well, Siena.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
I want to share with you a really special tradition
that my family has.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
You probably know because you know it all.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
But every Christmas Eve there was four of us kids
and every Christmas Eve my parents we would, you know,
only have the tree lights on, and my dad.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Would read twas the Night before Christmas.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
That's nice, So right before bedtime he would read that,
and then of course we'd scurry off to bed and
of course wake up to all the presents around the tree.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
And so the story is so sweet to me. And
because we are.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Airing right before Christmas, I really want to share Twas
the Night before Christmas with our audience. Now, I did
rewrite it so that it is for Zero Beach, because
I know Vera.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Beach holds as special place in your heart.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
It does. It does.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
So if you wouldn't.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Mind, would you be willing to read Twas the Night
before Christmas and Vera Beach to our listeners.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
So this episode is going to be dedicated to Twas
the Night before Christmas in Vero Beach by Cindy Getz.
Twas the Night Before Christmas went all through Vero Beach.
Coconut palm swayed to the silent night beat. The stockings
were hung down Fourteenth Ave and Ocean Drive in hopes

(15:35):
that Saint Nicholas would soon arrive. The kids were all
snug with iPhones in their beds while visions of orange
cream cuckles danced in their heads. And Mama in her
bikini and I in my swim cap had just taken
a dip or a refreshing pool lap went out on

(15:59):
Jay Sea Beach. There arose such a chick clatter. I
sprang from the pool to see what was the math
the matter away to the deck. I flew like a flash,
grabbing my towel and my flip flops that match the
moon on the crest of the newly breaking waves gave

(16:20):
the luster of midday to the sand and seagrass maize.
When what did my eye see on my new navigator
but a range rover suv and eight tiny alligators with
an aarp driver as lively as a dolphin kick. I

(16:45):
knew in a moment I had to be Saint Nick
more rapid than sandpipers. His cursors they came, and he
whistled and shouted and called them by name. Now Slasher,
now snappy, now toothy, and sharpie on chomper on gummers

(17:08):
on tiny rock Rocky, on the top of Barber Bridge,
to the top of the Heritage Center, now Spway, Spraway,
spar away with splendor as palm fronds that before the
hurricane fly when they meet with an obstacle, mount to

(17:31):
the sky. So up to the housetop the cursors they flew,
with the sleigh full of toys and sating Nicholas two.
And then in disbelief, I dropped my jaw. I heard
prancing on my rooftop of each gator's paws as I

(17:51):
drew in my head and was turning around through my
sliding doors. Saint Nicholas came in with a bound. He
was dressed in bermudas and a short sleeved golf shirt,
and his clothes were brightly colored with a small hint
of dirt. A bundle of toys he had in his backpack,

(18:14):
and he looked like a tourist with his favorite fanny pack.
His eyes, how they twinkled with sparkle and light. His
cheeks were like coal, so pretty and bright. His arms
and legs were nice and tanned, and the beard of
his chin was as white as the sand. The stump

(18:38):
of a pipe he had tight in his teeth, and
the smoke it gave like swirlly waves on the beach.
He had a broad face and a little brown belly
that got excited when he was at the public's deli.

(18:58):
He was chubby and plump, like a puffer fish from
the sea, and I laughed when I saw him in
spite of me. A wink of his eye and a
twist of his head soon gave me to know I
had nothing to dread. He spoke not a word, but
went straight to his work and filled all the stockings,
then turned with a jerk, and laying his finger aside

(19:21):
his nose, and giving a nod off the balcony. He dove,
he sprang to his range rover to his team, gave
a honk and away they all left, jamming to some
Jimmy Buffett and honk tonk. But I heard him explain

(19:41):
aerie he drove down ninety five. Happy Christmas to all,
and to all a good night.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
All right, we got to go to a station break.
You guys have a great Christmas. We'll see it a
little bit.

Speaker 3 (19:57):

Want to wrap it up. Santa. I have one final question.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
For you, so you're not going to make me cry again.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
If I don't know if you if you Santa had
a Santa, what would your wish be? If you had
a Santa anything and you could have one wish, what
would that wish be?

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Peace?

Speaker 5 (22:40):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (22:42):
What else?

Speaker 1 (22:43):
For you? For the world everywhere?

Speaker 2 (22:46):
It would be just as much for me as it
would be for everyone. Okay, I think that's what we need. Yeah,
you know, people need to open their hearts and be
flexible and be nice to people. You know, always treated
everybody like you want to be treated. Yeah, it came
from somewhere, right, I think. But yeah, it's just I

(23:09):
think peace. I just think we need that more than
anything in this in the whole world.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
When you come to Vira Beach, do you do you
feel a little bit of that piece, that little bit
of paradise that just brings the blood pressure down a
little bit.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
It's so warm.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
No, I love coming here. I love the beach.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
You know, it's pretty special. Does Missus Claws come with you?
Oh yeah, oh good?

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Oh yeah good.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
So you guys get a little vacation when you can
come here in the summertime.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
No crowds either in the summer.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
So if we had Missus Claws on the show, what
would she say? What do you think her her wish
would be for Christmas? If she could have one wish?

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Oh gee, maybe that or maybe like mentioned, you know,
more patient. Everyone should have patience so easy.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
It's not easy.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Actually I missed that that semester. Yeah, but you know,
she keeps reminding me, you know, wait, be patient. I'm learning.
I'm like everyone else, you know. Yeah, but you have
patience for everybody because so it's just everybody's like in
a hurry.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
