Hey, everyone, welcome back to Beauty the Beach Radio.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
I missed you. It is going to be such a
fun show.

Speaker 5 (00:36):
You know.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
This is all about beautifying Vera Beach and about beautifying
your life.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
And today's show is called are you ready?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Cindy already knows Younger by Friday, Younger by Friday.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
So Cindy doesn't matter what day you're listening to this podcast,
this radio show vibe, even if it's Friday. Our next Friday, Dale,
just think of that. Bye next Friday.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
You're going to be looking and feeling younger if you
follow some of these very simple steps that we're going
to go over.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
So today's show is called Younger by Friday. Do you
like that? I came up with that.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah, that is a good idea because it makes you go.
You think it's going to go fast. I got too
much sugar in make it makes you think it's going
to go fast. Especially I'm thinking, well, you're wrong. By
Friday and it's Thursday afternoon.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Younger by Friday.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
We can all wrap our brain around, we can all
wrap our life around. We can take a few days
and make that happen. So you know what if I
told you, okay, that you could actually grow younger, not older, Cindy, bye,
okay the end of the week, not in calendar days,
of course, but in energy, vitality and how you look

(01:46):
and feel.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah yeah, yeah, and the way you think and all that.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
So I Cindy, I think I've shared this with you,
but I am so inspired by a book that I'm
reading right now.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
It's called Younger Next Year.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
That's good too, Yes, it's called so of course my
spin is from you know the book.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
But the book is called Younger Next Year.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
And you know, it really has gotten me thinking about
if we just start small, Cindy, right here, right now,
whatever we day, it is, with a few simple steps,
you guys, you can feel younger by Friday. I promise you.
I promise you. So grab your coffee, grab your H
two zero, let's dive in and let's see how you

(02:30):
can feel younger, look younger in a matter of days. Okay,
at any age, at any age, guys, any age. I
don't even care if you're almost one hundred right now,
I promise you.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
So let's dive.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
So the first one is Younger by Friday, A lifestyle.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Okay, So what does that look like?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
So let's start with the biggest takeaway from the Younger
Next Year book that I've been reading, that you have
so much control over aging.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Then you think, I totally agree, right, totally agree.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
And so according so there's two authors of this book,
a doctor and a seventy year old athlete, and so
according to the authors, we don't have to slowly fall apart.
That is great news right there for you guys. We
don't have to slowly fall apart. In fact, they say

(03:23):
that seventy percent Cindy of aging is optional.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
It's lifestyle.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
I totally agree. I just read a story that I'm
going to tell you about after the show, but i'll
do it real quick. And it's about lifting weights and muscles. Okay,
and the two main focuses that I'm going to say
the wrong thing, but apparently there's different and I don't
know the technical terms different threads in your muscles. There's
a shorter thread and a longer thread. So people want
to lift weights and they want to go like to

(03:51):
fifty or one hundred pounds or whatever this is saying,
and that's not the optimum thing. The thing is to
do like twenty or thirty pounds. You know, on sure,
you got to read more into it than just what
I'm saying, and then to do it not to excess
right for the whole follow through of it, to get

(04:11):
the longer strands engaged. So if you go like that,
you're going to always get the shorter strands engage and
it's not going to impact the longer ones, which are
the ones that are like the really strength training ones.
It was really interesting.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Wow, that is amazing. Ye, well, Cindya did not read
my notes. But we're moving right into step one of
lifestyle and she's already preppedy for it, and that's move
every day. Absolutely, move every day. You guys, we can
all do this. And you know, I am not naives.
Some of you may be listening and you're in a wheelchair,
but you still got to use your arms. You still

(04:47):
got to move that chair. So move every day. The
first and most powerful way to grow younger is to
move your body every single day. So exercise isn't just
about looking fit. It literally changes Listen to this, guys.
When you move, it changes your chemistry. Yep, it changes

(05:08):
your chemistry at boosts circulation okay, super important, lifts your
mood hello, feeling more you know vivacious, improves your posture yep. Okay,
and gives you the natural glow that no highlighter that
Cindy can do when she does makeup, no highlighter can match.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Yes, no highlighter can match a natural glow.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Right, and you know what, you bring up a good
point And I actually did this. I mean it's not
going to be about me the Cindy Show, but you
know that chair aerobics or chair yoga in any of that.
So when I first started, like on January this year, okay,
to really get into it, I said, let me just
start slow with the chair aerobics, not to be an
old fuddy fie. The sweat was pouring off of me.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Can you demonstrate in your producer chair right now because
you're on camera.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
No, I won't remember. I both I have a skirt on,
so I don't want to do that.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
But I mean it's legs and it's just like and
you can.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Make some of those boys feel younger, do some cheer yoga,
and I just sweat was pouring.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
Off of me.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
I'm like, what are they there just saying this is
for old funny dotties.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Come on, I.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
Do this funny.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Well, you know, living in very beach, we really, Cindy,
have no excuse. You can walk the beach, you get paddleboard,
you can dance, you can do yoga in a chair,
even gardening, even gardening. So movement is medicine. I just
want that to go through. Movement is medicine. Just say
that in your head. Movement is medicine, and it's free.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
It's free.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
You don't have to go to.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
The pharmacy for this. You don't have to go to
the doctor office for this. No scary waiting room, no gym,
you know, no, you don't even have to go to
a get you So I bought myself.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
I'm so excited. I'm such a geek.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
But talking about lifestyle and movement every day sometimes, Cindy
and likely we've had this really bad weather, like h
I mean, it's all over the news. Mom called me
from Virginia. She's like, it looks like you're getting your
floating away. I said, yeah, we're getting pretty wet here.
So when it rains, when.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
It's just not you know, easy to get.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Out, even to go to the gym, You're just kind
of like, I don't want to get out in this mess.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, I bought.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
I'm so excited. I bought a mini a mini stepper.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Those are excellent, there's all God, They're excellent.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Guys. It's fifty bucks. Okay.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
I live in a condo. I don't have a lot
of storage, so I needed something. And because I'm single,
I need to make sure I can be able to
move the equipment around myself, right, And so I have
a beautiful porch that overlooks a fountain, and I take
my little mini stepper.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
It's it's maybe Cindy, it's.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Probably not even twenty pounds, and it's hydraulics, and I
take it out on the porch when it's raining, especially
this last week, and I'll get out there with my
earbuds and I'm just going to town on it.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
It's a movement.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
It is, and you know what somebody did years ago,
and I think it's still around is to put that
on plane. You know, we have it under your seat
and your plane in the.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Plane because shoe hours, yeah and going like you should have.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Well, especially people that have had surgery, they need that circulation.
So okay, Well, so guys, fifty bucks Amazon.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
I'm sure you can buy it.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
At up probably a local store as well, but fifty
bucks Amazon, best fifty dollars I've.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Spent in a while.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Love love, love Cindy, So it doesn't replace. I love running,
I love walking. I do love going to the gym,
but there's times when I don't want it as an
excuse because it's raining or bad weather that I'm not
leaving my house.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
You know what I want to just say, I lucked
out with I swim every morning and I've lucked out
except for one yesterday. Yeah, I've gotten it in. That's
great with the rain. So yeah, that is amazing.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Good for you because I typically will exercise in the afternoon,
so that's the difference. That's when those storms come in.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
So okay.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
So Step one lifestyle move, Move, Move, move whatever it is,
whatever whatever is your GM, just move.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
So lifestyle so move every day is step one.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Step two eat real food yes, okay, And Sindy's gonna
tell you to eat raw potatoes. You well know she
loves raw potatoes. But so they eat like you love yourself.
I know that sounds a little hokey, but so true.
So the book that I'm reading Younger next year says,

(09:37):
don't eat crap. Pretty simple, right, okay, So focus on
real food, fresh vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, good fats. So
I'm going to tell you my faves, and Cindy, I
know they know yours as well. They probably know your
whole nutrition, you know, set up. But my favorite beauty
foods are blueberries. I always have blueberries of a love, Avocado,

(10:02):
green tea, guys, I brew, believe it or not. I know,
I don't cook, but I can brew some great iced tea.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
So green. It's always green tea, always green tea. And
I have fresh.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Green iced tea probably every other I'm brewing it every other,
every other day, green tea. Nuts, and spinach. Love me
some spinach, whether it's fresh, weather, it's cooked.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Love love.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
So that's you know, skink here inside out, send you one.
Are your real food faves.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Oh, real food of real food. You know what I
started not to get on your tea thing. I drink
black tea.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Oh black tea's good too.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I just black tea. I had an affinity for it,
and I've stayed with brewing it like you like every
other day, putting it, making it icedy, and I just
drink it plain. I don't put anything in it, and
I like craved. Yeah, I don't know what it is.
Tea is phenomenal.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
I so I will have, you know, coffee in the morning.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
And after that, I stopped drinking sodas a while back
because I just I just didn't feel good. I really
I would want it, I'd want the bubbles, and then
I would hate it because I just didn't feel good.
So I've got to eliminated that. And during the day, Cindy,
like you, I just drink my my brood tea and

(11:15):
I do put a little sugar, but I do real sugar.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
I don't do anythake. I just do like, yeah, I
do like a quarter a cup, which is.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Actually do honey.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Well, yeah, I could do honey. Yeah, I don't mind.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
This is a recipe show. Now just do honey.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
But I don't do that much.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
I think I read because I was curious like with
McDonald's a sweet tea, like for a pitcher, I'll do
a quarter a cup of sugar.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
They do like three cups of sugar. I I can't say,
you know, it's.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Another thing that's good with that that changes it up.
Maple syrup. Oh, because the three sugars that they tell
you to eat if you can eat sugars is maple syrup, honey,
and dates.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
I love dates.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
That's very natural kind of you know, sugar derivatives of
love that all.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Right, I might try that, try it all right? So okay,
so we're we're moving every day. That's that's part of
one of your lifestyle. Part two is eat real food. Wait,
so what so other than I didn't.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Get back to Sorry, it's all good.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
I'm on an infinity now to have yogat yeah, that too,
yogurt smoothies but plain yogurt. Yeah, and then like banana
and raspberries that kind of nothing to added maybe a
touch of honey. Yeah, I love a smooth That.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Is That is my go to lunch is yoga, plain yogurt, berries,
sometimes bananas, sometimes nuts, and then honey.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yep, it's so good. Yeah, it's so good. And I
eat a ton of coal slaw. Sometimes I put too
much dress. I eat a lot of raw cabbage, red
cabbage or potatoes. You hurt all that, Yeah, those kind
of things. I don't need a ton of red meat
hardly ever. Maybe twice a year I eat red meat
something like that. I wish I ate more fish than
I do, but I I know me large fish.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Well, good for you. Okay.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
So there there's our favorite, you know, fresh foods. So
pick yours, stick with it, stock your kitchen because I
will say that when I am in a hurry, I
make bad decisions, I'll.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Run through a drive through. I'll you know, you know.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
You just see, you know what I do to come.
I don't do the drives through hardly any except when
I'm with you. I cook all the time, and I
always make so much that I have left over, So
I'm always going to have some kind of little containerable.
Well that's nice, that's real.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Yeah, that's smart. Just think ahead on that, you guys.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Some people travel with nuts, you know, in the car,
just something that's not going to melt in the Florida
heat and possibly can get you to home to something
from you know, leftovers from the night before.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
The third thing, and as part of lifestyle, as part
as younger by Friday, is connect with others. This is
because you think, really, okay, this, you know, I'm fine alone.
But let me tell you, people forget relationships keep you young.
So when you laugh, when you love, when you stay connected,

(14:14):
your brain and body thrive. I'm going to say that
one more time. Okay, when you laugh, when you love,
and when you stay connected, your brain and body thrive.
So loneliness, on the other hand, can aid you faster.
Are you ready for this than smoking? Really, loneliness can

(14:36):
aid you faster.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Than smoking.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
That is that's a huge statement, isn't it, Sindie.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
It's monumental.

Speaker 8 (14:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
So, so guys, you know, you know, join a club,
you know, volunteer, go to you know, something that you love.
Maybe maybe walk pets at a at a you know,
a shelter.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
Just find something you love and start.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Getting involved because that is gonna be key to staying young.
So okay, there's your three things for lifestyle change to
be younger by Friday. So this okay, So that one
is lifestyle change. Second is the younger by Friday mindset, mindset. Okay,
here's where beauty meets brains science, so your mindset can

(15:27):
literally change your face.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
Swear to god.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
You know those people Cindy right that are always like negative, They.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Just kind of have a sour look.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
To them, right, So, and the vibes are bad.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Yeah, So when you're stressed or negative, your body releases
chemicals that dull your skin.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
I'm so vain, I will always be happy, pretty good.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
The body releases chemicals that dull your skin and slow
your energy totally.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
This is all science, you guys.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
But when you're happy, your brain floods your system with hormones. Yes,
hormones like serotonin and dopamine.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
So feeling good isn't just emotional, you guys. It's biological beauty,
all right. So let's talk about some some beauty boost
Are you ready?

Speaker 4 (16:19):
We got to do this before station break because I don't.
I don't. I don't want you to not have this.
So here's some quick beauty boost.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
First one, get early sunlight ten minutes in the morning
helps your skin and your sleep cycle. That is definitely science.
Make sure your eyeballs, you know, get to see the
natural light. Cold showers, I don't do this one. I
hate cold showers. I know it's supposed to be good
for you. It tightens poors and it helps the mood. Cindy,

(16:48):
are you a cold shower?

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Of course you are, of course you are.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Oh god, I can take a caid stand hot showers.
I'll take a warm hot you know, like a hot,
warm bath, but not a shower.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
I will take a hot shower for an hour.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
I'll come out looking like a lob stock, but I
love my hotshower.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Okay, hydrate, y'all know this.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Your skin cells are little sponges, so keep them happy,
keep them hydrated.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
Drink that water and smile easy peasy at list your
face more than botox. Okay, it does, it really does.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
It's a good commercial, all right.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
So and here's one you might not expect. Gratitude journaling.
So writing down what you're thankful for shifts your brain chemistry,
lower stress, and yes, makes you look younger.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
It's crazy, it is, guys. These things are free. They're free.
So here's your challenge. Before we get to say station break,
here's your challenge.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
I want you to pick one simple habit, okay, to
start tomorrow, so by Friday, you're going to.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Look and feel younger. Okay.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
So here are the ones you can choose from a
thirty minute walk every day.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
That's one cutting out sugar for a week. Okay, that's two,
only one you pick.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
The next one is.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Drinking eight glasses of water okay. The other one is
smiling at three strangers. And then the final is just
saying yes to joy. Okay.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
So that is your challenge.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
I want you to pick one of those and start
it today so you can see the results by Friday.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Stay with us. We have to go to a station break.
We'll be right back.

Speaker 7 (18:36):
Come you hey.

Speaker 8 (18:38):

We're talking about Younger by Friday. Yes, you heard me,
Younger by Friday. We talked about a few things that
you can change in your life that will actually make
