your host, Hank Anagraph. Thanksver much, Randy. As we get

(00:55):
the broadcast kicked off today, Iwant to say just a couple of words
about theistic evolution, because under itsbanner, a growing number of Christians are
maintaining that God used evolution as hismethod for creation, and that, in
my estimation, is the worst ofall possibilities. I think it's one thing
to blame in evolution, it's quiteanother to blame God for it. The

(01:19):
Biblical account of creation specifically tells usthat God created living creatures according to their
own kinds. And therefore, whilethe Bible and science allow for micro evolution,
they do not in any way allowfor macro evolution. In other words,

(01:40):
Amiba's will evolving into apes or apesevolving into astronauts. Furthermore, evolution
is the cruelest it's the most inefficientsystem for creation imaginable, and therefore I
am quite surprised that Christians today aredefending the idea that this is the process

(02:00):
which God more or less set upin order to have evolution. Theistic evolution,
from my perspective, is simply acontradiction. In terms, it's like
talking about flaming snowflakes. God canno more direct and undirected process than he
can create a squared circle. Andyet that is precisely what theistic evolution presupposes.

(02:23):
Look, evolution is fighting for itsvery life, so rather than prop
it up with theories like theistic evolution, thinking people everywhere should be on the
vanguard of demonstrating its demise. I'vewritten about this and much more in the
Creation answer Book, which is availablethrough the Ministry the Christian Research Institute.

talk to Bill. He's listening inMeadow Vista, California. Hi. Bill,
Hi, how are you? I'mgood? How are you? I'm
fabulous. I just got back fromvacation and I finished up the last of
your trilogy on the Last Disciple,as well as The FEUs of Armageddon.

(03:27):
And I'm a nationally published Christian writeras well as a physician. And the
writing in your books is phenomenal, and the book The FEUs of Armageddon,
I think could be one of themost important books you know of this sanctuary,
you know, with the implications ofit. But be that as it

(03:49):
may. Just want to plug yourbooks. Well, let me say thank
you before you go on. Thankyou very much. What I was calling
about is that I had been lookingat Francis call One's Biologos website and in
some ways that appealed to me inthat I don't believe that there are such
things as blind natural forces, becauseeven randomness has an elegance to it and

(04:16):
a complexity to it. As tomathematics and all physical laws that you know,
they screen intelligent design, and so, you know, the traditional view
of theistic evolution is that God usesthese blind natural forces that you know.
To me, it sounds like, you know, there's something that happened when

(04:40):
different species were created, something atthat instant, and God either does primary
causation where he kind of puts somethinginto existence, or he uses its natural
laws. And I think, consistentwith Saint Augustine in the two Books of
Scripture and Nature, that God usesto show us the universe. You know,

(05:00):
it seems to me that in someways intelligent design stifles that, you
know, sorting out and exploring intoGod's mysteries of what seems so improbable.
Well, I mean, I thinkintelligent design is just designed if you will,
to follow truth wherever it leads. But look, in the view of

(05:21):
the Biologuist Foundation, science dictates thatmodern human beings emerged from primates one hundred
thousand years ago in a population numberingsome ten thousand, not two. And
while Collins and Companies staunchly defend Darwinianevolution. Their views don't correspond to reality,

(05:42):
and that's my big problem with whathe's teaching and saying. For example,
Darwin hung his hopes on hundreds ofthousands of transitional forms leading to the
fossils of the Cambrian explosion, butin actuality, the poverty of the fossil
record has been an embarrassment. Virtuallyall known body plans appear abruptly in the

(06:05):
Cambrian and therefore, as I've saidmany times on this broadcast, I think
the Cambrian radiation vaporized the Darwinian treeof life. But not only so.
Scripture plainly opposes the collective rhetoric oftheistic evolutionists who are denying the reality of
a historical Adam and Eve. TheBible makes it very clear from one man,

(06:28):
God made differing nation of men thatthey should inhabit the whole earth.
So sacred scripture, in concert withsound science, makes plain that kinds reproduce
according to their own kinds. Andtherefore the evolutionary paradigm that is being perpetuated
by Collins simply doesn't correspond to reality. And if the first Adam and Eve

(06:53):
had not fallen into elives or perpetualsin terminated by death, there'd be no
need for God to send a secondatom. Do you think that God did
a special primary causation, miraculous denovo exnilo production of all the various species

(07:15):
out of nothing at that instant.Well, yes, this is what the
Bible states. The Bible states thatkinds reproduce after their own kinds, that
one kind does not evolve into anotherkind. So we allow for microevolution in
the Biblical worldview, but not formacro evolution. But the point that I'm

(07:35):
trying to make here is that whatthe Bible states is cooborated by science.
So what Collins is hanging on tois mythology. The Cambrian explosion underscores from
hard evidence in general revelation that allknown body plans appear abruptly in the Cambrian

(08:01):
And therefore this whole notion of gradationsand mutations as posited by the Darwinian viewpoint
which is espoused by Collins and company, they don't correspond either biblical reality or
scientific reality. Well yeah, theyhave what they call a more flexible,

(08:24):
less wooden interpretation of the Book ofGenesis. That it was not written as
as a science literature, but youknow that it did speak to what happened
in general and specifically how that happenedscientifically, right, But I'm not disagreeing

(08:48):
with that. I'm not disagreeing withthat point of view. I mean,
I think that what Genesis is doingis never contra science. But it's not
meant to be a scientific handbook. Is rather meant for us to understand the
chirological impact of God's creative prowess,in other words, God's purposes in creation.

(09:11):
So it's not meant to give usa chronology of creation, but it
is meant to give us God's purposesin creation. But what I'm pointing out
is that general revelation militates against theview of Collins. In other words,
the fossil evidence simply says no tothe viewpoint that he's espousing. And I

(09:33):
think that this is the way I'marguing now. I'm also arguing that the
whole notion of God's special creation ofAdam and Eve is explicit in the scriptures,
and unless you hold to this, the scriptures become contradictory. Because our
Savior himself said at the beginning theCreator made them male and female, And

(09:56):
unless one be tempted to allegorize thewords of the Lord, it's instructive to
note that Jesus further affirmed a historicalAdam and Eve when it referred to the
murder of their son Abel. Butnot only that. Luke, writing to
a primarily gentile audience, extends thegenealogy past Abraham to the first Adam,

(10:18):
and therefore highlights Christ, the secondatom is the savior of all humanity.
And even if that's insufficient in someone'smind, Chronicles provides a historical record from
Adam to the exile. Likewise, starting at Genesis five to one, Moses
gives the written account of Adam's line. So I think that Genesis is a

(10:41):
historical narrative interlaced with Jewish poetry, but it's hardly an allegory. Come to
the station break. We'll be rightback on the other side of the break

(15:18):
Hi, thanks great to talk toyou. Nice to talk to you.
I have a question I've been I'vebeen talking and preaching online to people,
like especially on YouTube, and Ikeep talking with some evolutionists I remember respect,
but one of my problems is thatevery time I prove them wrong,
not to win nothing, just toprove that evolution is wrong, they have

(15:39):
like this ability to escape, likein like in such ways like how do
we know this is reality? Andstuff like that, Like I don't know
how to deal with it. Likethey don't change their view no matter how
many evidence I show them proving evolutionsthat haven't work right, and and how
much evidence that there is for Jesusarchaeological and history and by the historians there

(16:03):
was a Jesus and all this, they just don't change their mind. I
don't know what to do when Italk to them, because I feel bad
because they're teaching wrong teachings to youngkids on YouTube. You know they're there,
they believe it. You're like,wow, I'm amazed. I can't
believe I was a monkey, youknow, or ape like feature and it's
just sad and I try to andthey're spreading. I don't know what to

(16:26):
do about it. Yeah, well, first of all, it's great that
you're hanging out on YouTube and beinga witness for Jesus Christ. You're to
be commended for that. But rememberthat it's never your province to change anybody's
heart. That's the province of theHoly Spirit. What you ought to be
doing is precisely what you are doing, and that is equipping or preparing yourself

(16:48):
to be an ever more effective toolin the hands of the Holy Spirit in
terms of reaching people. So theresults are not what you're after. What
you're after is precisely what you're doing, always being ready to give an answer
or reason for the hope that lieswithin you, with gentleness and with respect.
When I was a person who believedin philosophical naturalism and evolutionism, I'm

(17:11):
sure there were many people who witnessedto me over the years who probably sighed
deeply and thought no one will everreach him. But eventually the seeds that
they planted someone else came along andwatered, and God gave the increase,
and I was able to take anobjective look at the evidences and recognize that

(17:33):
the evolutionary paradigm, which I oncethought made so much sense, makes no
sense whatsoever. You're forced to believethat life came from non life, that
nothing produced everything, and for thatmatter, that the life that came from
non life produced morals. I meanthis is a stretch, to say the

(17:53):
least. Logically, we know thatevery effect has to have a cause equal
to her greater than itself. Ifyou look at the universe, you must
certainly be driven to the notion thatthere's an uncaused first cause by which the
universe came into existence. So Ithink all of the evidence is on our
side of the ledger, and weneed to simply communicate it with gentleness and

(18:15):
with respect, but leave the conversionprocess in the hands of the Holy Spirit.
We can be an effective tool, but he ultimately is the one who
transforms the heart. Thank you, man. What do you recommend to people
that just keep on going on likeyou don't listen whatever you write? So
I just leave it alone. Yeah, I mean again, you shouldn't feel

(18:37):
the obligation to do something that you'renot obligated to do. What you are
obligated to do is to be aneffective witness. What you are not obligated
to do is change anybody's heart.I thank you. That's a clip that
Or you have resources for evolution byteaching how creation? Yeah, you know.
I have a book that I've mentionedon today's broadcast called the Creation answer
Book. In this book, Ibasicly go through the evidences against the evolutionary

(19:04):
paradigm. I demonstrate that the wholenotion of one kind evolving into another kind
simply does not correspond to reality. Then I go over the ape men,
fiction fantasies, and frauds that arebeing taught to young people today in the
classroom and show how they don't correspondto reality. Then I demonstrate the chance

(19:30):
that which happens without cause implies theabsence of both design and a designer.
However, all of the evidence pointsin a different direction. And then I
point out that the basic laws ofscience militate against the evolutionary hypothesis. And
therefore, as we move farther andfarther in an age of scientific enlightenment,

(19:52):
more and more evidence comes to lightwhich causes the evolutionary foundation to start to
crack in such a way that ultimatelyit's going to have to completely disintegrate because
it's simply is a theory that peopleare sort of forced to communicate and believe,
but it has no real basis andevidence. It is a fairy tale

(20:14):
for adults. Thank you, HankMinelo Kei, blessing you for what you're
doing. You're helping millions. Thankyou, Alex. Appreciate your call back
to the phone lines. Sheila,Honolulu, Hawaii. Hi, Sheila,
Hi, thank you for picking acall. You're welcome to know. I
guess I saw two different spirits atmy aunt's house when I was sleeping over,
and being a Christian, I shouldn'tbe afraid, but yet I don't

(20:37):
know why I'm seeing it. Well, Sheila, you have to take your
subjective experience and test it in lightof an objective frame of reference, which
is the Word of God. Andwhat we know for certain about the Word
of God is that when someone dies, they are either in torment, which
is to say, they're away fromthe loving presence of God, or they

(21:00):
are being comforted in the presence ofGod. But they do not and cannot
return to this time space continuum withoutGod's divine prerogative. And God does not
do this in a normal or anormative fashion. Therefore, the subjective experience

(21:21):
of seeing a dead relative is somethingthat does not correspond to the truth of
scripture. Now, it doesn't meanthat you didn't have a real experience and
that you really think that this istrue. Of course you do. But
there are many things that we experiencesubjectively that objectively are invalidated. And that's

(21:41):
why we also have to test thesubjective experience again in light of the Word
of God, which is the finaltest for faith and practice. What do
you mean by test it because it'snot a relative. I don't know this
person. I cannot see the faithwell, but I'm saying whether it's a
relative or anyone else. We knowthat those who have died do not return

(22:04):
to the land of the living. But we also know something to be absolutely
true on the basis of scripture, and that is that Satan will play upon
the field of our imagination and oursuperstition. And that's why when you test
things in light of scripture, youknow it can't be a ghost or a
departed person. But you can knowthat why you cannot see Satan, that

(22:29):
he will try to influence your thoughts, and that's why you have to put
on the full armor of God soyou can take your stand against principalities and
powers of darkness. All right, thank you, you got it, Sheila.
I've written about this in a bookcalled The Covering. Back to the
phone lines, we talked to Deleenin Columbia, Mississippi High Deleen, Hi,

(22:52):
thank you for taking my call. You're welcome. My question is about
the passover. So is it justtraditions a man that they call the last
for the Passover. I know inthe Gospel it speaks as passover. Peter
and John were instructed to go andprepare for the Passover. But Jesus,
being on passover lamb, was crucifiedat three pm on the day that they

(23:14):
fill the lamb. The Passover supperis to be eaten that night, which
will be the beginning of the nextday, the first day of eleven Bread.
Why does the Bible say that Jesusate the Passover supper with the disciples
when it's impossible he was crucified.Well, I'm really glad that you're reading
your Bible carefully. One of thethings you'll find as you read the Bible

(23:37):
carefully is that Jesus died on PassoverDay or Friday to fulfill the conditions of
being or Passover Lamb. So you'recorrect in that presupposition. But there's a
time difference between the household observance ofthe Passover meal on the evening of the
fourteenth of Nissan, which is Thursdayevening, which the lords celebrated with his

(24:03):
disciples as the Lord's Supper, andthe public sacrifice on the altar on behalf
of the nation of Israel on thefifteenth of Nissan. And I think therein
lies the answer to your question.Well, see, I believe Jesus was
in the grade three days and threenights, because he says Jonah was in
the belly of the fish three daysand three nights, So the son of
Man would be in the heart ofthe earth three days and three nights.

(24:26):
Yeah, but that doesn't mean seventytwo hours. You can't get three days
and three nights out of Friday afternoon. But I was just going to explain
that to you. Again, you'recorrect in the basic idea that you're communicating.
The Gospels say that he died andhe was buried the day before the
Sabbath or Friday, and rose onthe day after the Sabbath or on Sunday.

(24:49):
And the answer therefore to the conundrumthat you pose is that in the
Jewish mind, part of a daywas counted as an entire day. And
that's why it's so important to learnthe idioms or figures the speech that are
used in scripture. And by theway, you know that it couldn't have
been seventy two hours that were inmind, because Christ rose on the third

(25:15):
day, not after three days, according to Matthew chapter sixteen. So again
I think it's important to understand thatpart of a day and part of a
night constituted as a day and anight, and so you don't have to
have a full seventy two hours literally, that's not what is in view.

(25:36):
In fact, if you read thetext carefully, you know not only by
the function of Jewish idiom that I'vejust described, but you know from the
text itself that it couldn't have beena full seventy two hours that are in
view. We are at a timefor this edition of the Bible. Answer
