Happy New Year, Happy New Year. Welcome to the show.
This is Sheldon of Big Seedsports. This is Big Seeds
Sports coming to you worldwide. I'm that Big Seasports Network
of the number one network in the United States of
America up at Big Street Sports has been voted the
number one sports show if the universe, according to me
(03:07):
and people who love the universe, and that would include you.
What a beautiful day in the neighborhood, A beautiful ding
in the neighborhood. Well to be my weal, to be
made well, to be my neighbor. Shut up bowl, I'm
trying to watch the Rose Bowl. Well, you know the
Rose Bowl is the Granddaddy of Evolve, and Oregon played
like neighbor granddaddy's versus their grandchildren of that big you
(03:30):
gotta give ohowse date. You know that's the first game
I lost in the college football playoffs. Dylan Gabriel was
playing like he was on to a house date. He
kept running backwards, giving up a sacces instead of throwing
the ball away. All Stan level war. That was a
game that Ohawa's day came and they took care of business.
It was thirty for nothing before Ergon even scored with
(03:52):
two seconds left in the first half, and the second
half Bergon put up they ended. I'm scoring twenty one
points in the game and at the same time, Ohio
State only scored one touchdown in the second half. So
that's how much a half makes all's fan level war.
(04:14):
So I'd give Oho States and credit, and then Texas
the good up boys in Texas they stuck by the
airs in the State Sun. That was thirty nine forty
one and double overtime and that game went down to
the wire. What a game it was where the duor
I appreciate college football and Demderry Hills, United States, but
also I'd be remiss if I did not mention that's sad.
(04:38):
I don't even know what to say. The tragedy in
New Orleans where there were several fatalities and injuries because
of a They called it a terrorist attack where some
knucklehead drove a vehicle into a crowd, and just I mean,
(04:59):
sometimes you think we have it all easy and you're
going to a game to get away and to celebrate
your favorite teams, and then you have something like that.
My thoughts and prayers are not enough. I'm just really,
I don't know what it's saying. I feel for the
people who've lost someone, and for that, I want to
also offer a moment of silence again, thoughts and prayers
(05:32):
with those families that are dealing with loss. And New Orleans,
with the fans that were there to see the Notre
Damon and Georgia game. They're saying, nearly one hundred thousand fans.
We're in the streets just celebrating, getting ready for the game.
So they counseled the Sugar Bowl tonight and they're going
to play it tomorrow night to give I guess, I
(05:53):
don't know what you can give. Maybe for more security reasons.
I know they were really looking at New York City
to make sure that there was no shenanigans in New
York City. But New Orleans a city where people go
down to watch games an eat good food, and obviously
there's some deranged people in this world that I don't
even know what to say. I just want to wish
(06:15):
everybody the best, and maybe sports can bring people together
and get their mind off of the tragedies for a moment,
but for the people who are really affected, it's not
gonna it's not going to be the same. I mean,
we don't know. I think about what I'm doing with
Busy Sports and then starting Busy Sports TV. I don't
really deal with the public too much. I'll be coming
(06:36):
in contact with the public even more doing Busy Sports
podcast and then bas Sports TV. But I kind of
just to be very candid with you, I like being
in the background. I'm not trying to be a headliner
for anyone, to have myself out there in the public.
That's part of life, and you just sometimes you're better
(06:58):
off going anonymous in this world, not letting people know
who you are and what you are. But that's also life.
You got to keep living your life and I'm gonna
do mine the best way I know how. But I
tell you there's still moments in times where you think,
what in the world do I want to be known for?
Do I really care about having people know my name
and know my face where I am because people can
(07:19):
be weird in this world. And for those the tragedy
that happened out in New Orleans, how do you have
a show about sports, because life is about rising and
shining no matter what. And I just don't know what
to say. It's a sad happening to start off twenty
(07:40):
twenty five, and I don't know the exact number of fatalities.
I'm here between ten and fifteen, over thirty people injured,
So I don't know if it's just I don't know
if to say I'm not I'm not an expert on that.
I've bet to let the experts come out that deal
with that law enforcement. They're gonna have, obviously their own
(08:02):
announcements to talk about what happened in that situation in
New Orleans. But for anyone who takes for granted any day,
you got to live every day to the fullest, you
just do. We're we're so fortunate in that country to
be able to roam around free that we call it
the Land of the Free, the home of the brave.
(08:23):
And when we think about sports, are sometimes we get
caught up in politics. When you have a tragedy like that,
Obviously it was planned, and there's people who just look
to have destruction. They look to destroy whatever they can,
whomever they can. And I just again, thoughts and prayers
are not enough, but that's what you offer to people
who've obviously gone through some tough times, losing people along
(08:46):
the way, and that's what I want to offer with
Big C Sports A podcasts and then Big C Sports TV.
That's my story. I'm sticking with it, but I do
want to say I do have to finish my program
because I love what I do. It's just with a
heavy heart. That shouldn't happen. Nothing like that should ever
happen in this great country. Well that's my story and
(09:08):
I'm particular with it. I want to say Happy New
Year to everyone that made it through twenty twenty four.
I want to say I want beautiful, intelligent black man.
I always produce the show, I direct the topics, I
broadcast all the shows, I do all the sound effects.
Based on the platform provided by the agency, we should
all have more laughter and our lives are especially more laughter.
(09:30):
Based on what happened today down in New Orleans, or
actually last night on New Year's I had a great
New Year's coming in and spending time with loved ones
and just making sure that life was a celebrated as
much as possible and eating lots of crap in shrimp
Oh my god, that gumbles amazing. And then I want
(09:50):
to say that the commercials are done, the statism about it,
I even do this storytelling, and then I do the
play by play Curry four three good in your life.
I want to see when I say as much as
I can, I try to add my back in my
two cents in And it's up coming. DA from a
sports bar here in Northern California is celebrating in sky
(10:13):
River Casinos BIGC Sports Podcast as sky River Casino. And
obviously on a New Year, you just wonder there's so
much security around. And oftentime you take for granted that
securities around, but I'm so grateful now that it is there.
Really do appreciate that. And then the show's uploaded to
twenty five malcom a podcast platforms out of New York City.
(10:37):
It streaming on four TV platform Exfinity, Comcast TV, Apple TV,
Local TV, and Amazon for our TV and Number ten.
I never missed the show to starting Big Sports with
a crew back in the day the Salem Media. And
now we have people who miss practice. I'm not talking
about the game, I'm talking about practice. We have people
who missed practice. I want to say thank you to Exfinity,
Comcast TV at Comcast spot Like TV for presenting you
(11:01):
know what. I want to call X sports to the universe.
Just like in Genesis one three where God said reparations now,
reparations lamon and then Guy said let them be light,
I want to shine light all over the world with
Big Sasports podcast. Even though today it's joy paying sunshine
and ring, my heart just feels for the people that
(11:25):
were tragically taken in New Orleans. Their lives are gone.
They were there to celebrate New Year's and many to
gather to watch the Notre Dame and Georgia football game,
and I'm just it's a tough day. It should be
a happy day, but there are times when people just
(11:46):
do stupid things and I'm just, I just I gotta
do the show. I want to do the show. But
I am so even being at a casino and you
wonder when security is there for a reason, I'm just so.
I just wish I had the better words for those
(12:08):
family members that have lost someone, but I know they
don't want to hear from other people. They're going to
spend some time around their loved ones making sure that
everything is as well as possible, and I want to
do my part also to add to that, I just
want to say my thoughts on prayers to those people
that lost a lot. That's not why you go to
New Year's celebration. Anywhere in the world where you think
(12:30):
about going to a New Year's Day celebration, that's not
what you're expecting to happen, not at all, not in
a little bit. That's a shame. But I do want
to say with that in mind, I want to say
I want to get praise to our vetments like that's hotling,
because they really are experienced helping vetterments get their help
and their loved ones get help. Also, if you know
(12:51):
anybody going through issues, pick up the phone called eight
hundred two seven three eighty two five five. That's eight
hundred and two seven three eighty two and fifty five.
Are you get text eighty eight two five five that's
eight three eight two five five. If you're online, simply
goes to the betterments by just line that net. That's
bettermentspect the line that net. And when you do make
sure when you go to that line, you gotta tell
(13:13):
them what you gotta tell them, fixy cents you and
then you gotta give them some praise. I say, give
them praise, praise, praise, because we all know a mind
is a troubles in the ways, so it is a
life of course, no matter where you are for New
Year celebration. I know life goes on. But what a
shame that some knucklehead decided to end life for a
(13:36):
lot of innocent people. I just don't understand it, but
I know that's part of what we deal with in
in a society where you do have your freedom and
there are times when people just make a mess of it.
Not really, I love I love sports and it brings
people together. Sports can do what religion can't do. Sports
(13:58):
will actually galvanize our society. It brings people together. Religion
doesn't do it as much. You have people who won't
go break bread at a different church, but they'll go
to a sporting event. They'll go to a stadium or
an arena to watch their team play. And that to me,
I'm just so grateful that God has shinned on me
in so many ways that I can do a sports
show that I love doing, in fact, meeting more people
(14:21):
every day that have the opportunity to reach out and
do what they love in life, and I'm so grateful
that I can with Basic Sports Podcast. I really just
don't know how to really express the sorrow that I
have for those innocent souls that were just taken. It
doesn't make any sense, but I know we got to
keep rising and shining. If we don't, then the enemy wins.
(14:44):
We don't want the enemy to win. And that's my
story I'm thinking with it. I want to say I
love doing what I'm doing. Today is the first day
of twenty twenty five, and I'm so grateful to have
the opportunity to do what I'm caning and i want
to say happy happy new Year as much as possible.
(15:05):
It is a happy new year. I'm not being mccopp
is a happy new year, and I'm so grateful for
the opportunities that are here with Big C Sports Podcast.
What I also want to do and pay an homage
to what I do with Big SHE Sports Podcast, I'm
gonna play some other sports shows that are doing their
thing and with Big C Sports TV. For the sponsors,
(15:27):
you know, I'm thinking one hundred million dollars and I'm
gonna get it. I want you to hear how Big
C does his thing, and I'll play other sports shows
that do their thing, and you ask me if that
makes this kid worth one hundred million dollars. One hundred
billion dollars is coming. I also want to say b

Speaker 4 (16:33):

Speaker 3 (16:33):

Estimates point on the final touchdown with that two point
conversion play? Was that play designed for you from the
jump and when the ball was in the air? What
was going through your head?
Speaker 2 (24:08):
I mean the play was designed for Demo, you know,
in the slide, I had to pick rock for him.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
But if they play in and out covering.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
So you know, I slipped right behind me. And then
when the ball was in the air, I'm like, man,
I gotta get it. You know it's mine. So as
it came down with you. Yeah, Hey, multiple big plays
in this game. Which one is the one you're gonna
most excited to tell the story of it?
Speaker 5 (24:25):
I'll probably say that fort Nalco versions had, you know,
just just leaning new plund.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Is just being wide open.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Man.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
I can't, I can't. I can't thank God enough for
the opportunity congratulation.
Speaker 7 (24:36):
You can hear the confetti cannons going off while Matthew
Golden is talking to her. Career seven catches, one hundred
and forty nine yards, twenty one point three yards.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Per carry and that big touchdown. What a day? What
a day for their superstar wide receiver. Didn't I mean
oh Ski frue side of it for him their defense
challenge today.
Speaker 7 (24:59):
Wild stats from this game time the possession for Arizona
State thirty seven minutes and fifty four seconds, which means
Texas only had the ball for twenty two minutes and
six seconds. Arizona State outgained in total yards Texas five
to ten to three seventy five. They outrushed him two
fourteen to fifty three, and they ran ninety seven plays
(25:21):
to Texas's sixty. But in the end, a big defensive
play by Andrew Vicuba ended the run for Arizona State,
and our guys caught up with the defensive star of
the Longhorns.
Speaker 8 (25:31):
Are we joining about starting Texas safety Andrew mccoova. Mccoova
went through your mind on that last interception to seal.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
The deal man. I was just think, you make a
play man.
Speaker 9 (25:40):
We needed a turnover in a moment and the guy
with the people are telling everybody make a playman.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Pincher picked the ball up, so called the turnover, and
that's what we do at the end of the game.
The end of the game, as things swung back.
Speaker 10 (25:52):
To Arizona State, how did you guys get refocused and
get back on top.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
I told when everything was going down, I told you
to get air about it together, talking the whole deepen
when you know, enyed to go up, heded that would
turn my up.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Energy was up and this time out I made it play.
Speaker 7 (26:07):
Someone stepped up and made a plan. That was Andrew mccoob.
But now, in fairness, I thought Sam Levitt was awesome.
I know he didn't have the massive QB rating. He
had the big run that kind of saved the first overtime, right.
He ended up carrying the ball thirteen times, he had
sixty yards rushing. But he made a big mistake then
(26:28):
and it was the only mistake, the only turnover of
the game for Arizona State, and it was a big one.
Now again, you're going to be in a tough spot
because you could see it. Camp Scattabu. He was, he
was he was struggling, he was he was hurt, but
he was grinding through. That was a who just went
up and took it away from him. Might have been
the play of the game.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Yeah, I would say it was definitely the play of
the game playing.
Speaker 11 (26:51):
I mean you you mentioned it when he laid out
the stats ninety plays is a ton, especially when you're
relying on for a large majority of those plays. One
particular guy, Scataboo was gassed by the end of it. Man,
and I can't blame them, but when you take away
the number one option, you're in a little bit of
trouble for Arizona State.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
And Levitt was great, but that the road.
Speaker 11 (27:13):
Just see, it's just a great play by the Texas
defense and guys though. Man, they jumped the ball perfectly,
comes down with the catch.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
It was beautiful.
Speaker 7 (27:22):
Speaking of great catches, gunner Helm was somehow left wide
open on the very first play of the second overtime.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Our crew caught up with a talented Texas tight end.
Speaker 8 (27:32):
We're going about starting tight end Gunnerham here for the
Texas longhorce Gunner what's going through your mind on that
last pass as Quinn throws it through you and you
ends up in the end zone.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Yeah, saw the linebacker light up and then you know
went inside.
Speaker 12 (27:45):
I'm supposed to usually go outside of that for this
guy outside and you know just stepped up.
Speaker 10 (27:50):
Saw Quinn step up and make a great play. Big,
big output in the second half. First half seemed like
there wasn't much action for you. You have to talk
to somebody at halftime say he still out there on
the field.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
No, not at all. I trust the game plan. I
trust that when the ball final to be, the ball
finds me and what it does. I just try to
make the best player that can make you think. That's
what happened throughout, just to flow the game. They found
you in that second half. Absolutely, you know, I think,
I don't.
Speaker 12 (28:11):
I don't know if we had more than twenty five
plays in the first half, So that was just to
flow the game and didn't get any more action in
the third, so the fourth away my turn.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
But uh, you know, ball found me and just trying
to make a grit play.
Speaker 10 (28:23):
We're going and as as Arizona kept chipping away in
that second half.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Yeah, we know we were going to go through.
Speaker 12 (28:29):
And Coach Shark told us that leading up to this game,
and you know, we just did our best person of
you through that and you know he challenges us every
week like what's gonna happen? So we just stayed the course,
stayed and stuck to the game plan, kept our faith
and glad to come.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Out with one.
Speaker 10 (28:43):
What goes through your mind when you lock eyes with
a quarterback and you're in that end zone and he
sees you see, and he starts that throwing motion towards you.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Just don't drop the ball.
Speaker 7 (28:55):
You gotta congratulate for one great tight end ben Hard
sock To and how about that?
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Then, no, just don't drop the ball. He's at it.
They in the first half.
Speaker 7 (29:05):
Let's see, Texas only had one hundred and thirty three
total yards and as far as thore the ball, they
only threw ten passes in the first half, so he
ended up throwing twenty in the second half. And you
get a playmaker like that who somehow is left uncovered,
got to catch the ball and he made a big
time playing and it.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
Helped us secure the win for Texas. I guess you
could say it was a game. When he touchdown from
gunner Helm it was in I mean blank.
Speaker 11 (29:31):
You might if you really want to dive deep, it
might have been a six million dollars row from Quinn yours.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
You might be able to say that too. I like
the way I see what.
Speaker 7 (29:37):
You're doing right there. Thirty nine thirty one the final.
Texas gets to win over Arizona State in overtime. They
will move on to a Cotton Bowl showdown with the
Ohio State buck guys.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
When we come back, will relive the route in Pasadena.

From the Final four to the Frozen four, your year
round source for college sports serious exem College Sports Radio
Channel eighty four, don't forget to punch the clock. It's
Colors Football over Time. I'm Colored Sports Radio Channel eighty four.
Here's Chris play and day to.
Speaker 7 (31:45):
Day I get to hand with the man who was
bringing you the scores all season one.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
That's getting day here on College Football over Time. My
name is Chris Plank. We just recapped the Peach Bowl.
A couple of numbers that stood out to me. You
brought this up.
Speaker 7 (32:01):
Kim Scataboo thirty carries, one hundred and forty three yards,
two touchdowns, eight receptions for ninety nine yards. He was
one for one throwing the ball forty two yards and
a touchdown. And he was as of MVP to be
the offensive MVP on the team that loses didn't days.
That's pretty that's pretty wild, But I mean it's whid's
(32:22):
I look at these numbers. I wrote down every stat
for some reason. I went old school. You guys would
be proud of me. Texas was just five or thirteen
on third downs. That ten penalties for sixty eight yards.
They were in time of possession, they were minus basically
a quarter. Arizona State had the ball a whole quarter
more than Texas did. They were out gained by not
(32:43):
quite two hundred yards, five ten to three seventy five.
They were out rushed two fourteen to fifty three. I still, statistically,
you look at that. I don't know how Texas won
that football game, but they did.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
They move on to it. Go Away got away, He
got away. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (32:58):
Hate on them all you want, but they found a way.
So let's shift our focus to the game that we
all couldn't wait for. Everyone was excited about Ohio State
and Oregon, and Ohio State did not mess around on
their opening drive.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Howard one back beside him.
Speaker 15 (33:17):
That's Jenkins to us left and back to throw up
play actually there swinging out to Smith Ohen down field
thirty gets Pray twenty.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
On the end of the ten he will store. It
seemed so easy. I mean, I don't know how to
say that, but it was.
Speaker 7 (33:35):
It was one of the easiest touchdown passes I think
I've ever seen in my life. And it capped off
what was a get this three play seventy five yard
drive that led Ohio State to.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
A seven zip lead. Oregon goes three and out Penn State.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
All right, see me, Ohio State. That actually doesn't score
on their next possession. Guess what, Oregon, that's when they
get the football back. They go three and out again,
and then Ohio State just went crazy. If it wasn't
Jeremiah Smith making a big play, it was a Mecca
Buka And this was an.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Absolute dime from Will Howard from the forty two. Howard
throwing over the metal looking for Abuca, puts.
Speaker 16 (34:17):
It right on the buddy Captain mcgunine touchdown Ohio State
meccauca forty two yard touchdown reception thirty nine straight games
of the reception beating Brandon Johnson, and it's a two
store buck guy lead early.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Yeah. Fourteen is if.
Speaker 7 (34:34):
At the end of the first quarter, Jamon fielding out
of the field goal to make it seventeen to zero,
and then oh, let's get the ball back to Jeremiah Smith.
Speaker 17 (34:42):
Second to five all Higer State with the ball of
the york in forty three seventeen nothing, Buckey's leading. Everybody
pinched in tight on either side of the line of scrimmage.
If Buka motioning from right to left hand except to
Will Howard fixed the hand off sets up behind the
fifty to pass guns had when peaked down the middle
of the.
Speaker 15 (34:56):
Field, Jeremier Smith got into the four and into the
end zone. Here Amaiah Smith on a forty three yard
touchdown pass from Will Howard the second time today those
two have hooked up for a score.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
And what do you know, it's twenty three nothing Ohio
State leading Oregon.
Speaker 7 (35:13):
So it didn't obviously, we really only have one more
highlight we're gonna play from this game. Just to be
honest with you, I feel like honesty is the key
explosive play. I got to minimize explosive plays. You've heard
a forty five yard touchdown pass, a forty two yard
touchdown pass, and then right there a forty three yard
touchdown pass. Oregon, buddy, I don't know how else to
(35:34):
say it. They were absolutely shell shot Ohio State lands
that jab, another jab, and then the legit, the knockout
blow came when they're like, oh, you know what, we
can also run the football two and this happened.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Yeah, Henderson to the backfield.
Speaker 17 (35:48):
Well, Howard, he has the staff on first down, Henderson
running right, so I hits his own thirty five, gets
to the forty down the right sideline to the Oregon
forty goes Henderson to the thirty of the Ducks, to
the twenty, to the ten to the house, traveon Henderson
right around the right side.
Speaker 15 (36:02):
It is ninth rushing touchdown of the year. That went
sixty six yards to the end zone. And how about
this Ohio State offense who's jumped in front of Oregon
thirty to another And.
Speaker 7 (36:13):
I give Oregon crewdit. They fought back. They scored a
touchdown right before halftime. It was too little, too late.
I'm not gonna lie, man, I'm still in shock how
quickly that game got away from Oregon thirty four to
zip with two fifty nine to go in the first half.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
They get the touchdown, the two point conversion make it
thirty four to eight, and.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
That was but that was it.
Speaker 7 (36:34):
It was ball game when it was thirty one nothing, man,
I was I'm still in shock by how one side
of this became blank.
Speaker 11 (36:41):
Before the season, two massive Ohio State names made a
lot of head lives Irvan Meyer Jim Trussel when they
said Ohio State this year is the most talented team
in program history. And then we watched them for like
twelve weeks and I said, I don't know what they're
talking about. I get what they're talking about. This was
the first time this season with those comments finally started
to make sense.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
On defense insane.
Speaker 11 (37:04):
On offense, they have so many different dudes that can
come at you from so many different directions. They got
an elite defense. And then that second touchdown that you
just played to a Mecca and Buca from Will Howard.
That was about as perfect as a throw as you
are going to get against an Oregon defense.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
He was sensational today.
Speaker 11 (37:21):
This was a masterclass of a When you talk about
complimentary football, Ohio State played complimentary football to a t.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
I don't know who's going to beat them. This to me,
playing felt like it was the national championship.
Speaker 11 (37:34):
I thought these were the two best teams, and Ohio
State kicked the teeth in out of Oregon.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
I don't think there's anybody playing better football than them
right now.
Speaker 7 (37:43):
Man, Jeremiah Smith, what a night. Seven catches, one hundred
and eighty seven yards, two scores. He was targeted seven times,
and all seven of his catches resulted in either a
first down or a touchdown. Ohio State ran the ball well.
They averaged five point eight yards per carry. Dated everything right.
(38:03):
It's absolutely amazing. When we come back, we'll head the field.
We'll hear from the stars of the Ohio State buck
guys after their forty one to twenty one win.

Rose Bawl along with everybuddy. Dan Lynch with Din Day.
I am Chris Plank, didn't. I think the term you
used earlier with Chip Kelly off the start of this
game was what in his bag?
Speaker 11 (41:42):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (41:43):
He was in his bag?
Speaker 11 (41:44):
It was a revenge game playing taking on his former team,
and he made it known very early.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (41:49):
He did five hundred total yards for Ohio State just
two seventy six for Oregon. Rhtt Lewis was acoring our
coverage at the Rose Bowl and he talked to Chip
Kelly afterwards.
Speaker 19 (42:00):
Coach, know, like the place she must have been on
fire down there today. What did it take to get
this thing going the way that you guys did to
start things?
Speaker 20 (42:06):
So I think we'll obviously is the leader of the
group and when he's on and in all of our games,
when he's completed.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
Eighty percent of his passes, he's been unbelievable.
Speaker 20 (42:14):
So and then obviously having four out there really changes
the landscape for everybody. So credit those guys, and I
think we if you look at it, we had great protection,
an opportunity to throw the ball there in the first half,
and I think we kept them off balance. And then
you mix in the run triviaon big hit on the
run was huge.
Speaker 19 (42:28):
So and then you know, like when you know you've
got the star power, but when they play up to
that level in a game like this, I mean that
you can beat anybody when you're when you guys are
playing that way.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
That's competitive. Greatness is being at your best and your
best is needed. And we knew we had it. You know,
we just beat the number one team in the country
a lot of points. So, uh, credit to those players
that are awesome. How did you guys keep Will clean
for the most part time, I think I Roline did
a great job protection.
Speaker 20 (42:51):
You know, you can watch a film, but I was
really really happy with how he was he was back there.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
It was really really clean. Uch appreciate it. Thank you,
Thanks Ratt. A coach take a lot of career sism.
Speaker 7 (43:00):
Chip Kelly has from obviously leaving UCLA to take a
step down at least in responsibility. Right, you go from
being a head coach to being a coordinator. You were
a head coach at a Big ten school right at UCLA.
You moved to Ohio State, you become the offensive coordinator.
Raise a lot of eyebrows, but more so.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
Now.
Speaker 7 (43:22):
But one of the semi finals, I was an impressive
game plan from Chip Kelly tonight.
Speaker 19 (43:27):
Yeah, for the second straight time here in the CFP.
You guys come out on absolute fire to start this
game on all offense.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
What went into that performance?
Speaker 21 (43:34):
You know, all the preparation we put in. Man, we
were ready, and I think getting that first win gave
us a lot of momentum. You know, we came out
with that chip on our shoulder in that first game,
and I think we carried it over really well into
this game.
Speaker 2 (43:44):
And we just did a heck of a job on
offense to start the game.
Speaker 19 (43:46):
And then obviously seeing the plays that Coach Kelly was
calling to get Jeremiah going to get a Mecca going.
Speaker 2 (43:52):
Man, you must have just been loving it back there,
oh man.
Speaker 21 (43:54):
Coach Kelly was in his bag today he was. He
was calling out all the tricks and I was I
was happy, man. It was we spread the ball around.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
Well, big job.
Speaker 19 (44:06):
Hey, Well, obviously when you're when your stars shine the
way that Jeremiah and I'm that guy tray Beon did today,
I mean, what's the limit to this team?
Speaker 5 (44:17):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (44:18):
The sky's the limit.
Speaker 5 (44:18):
Man.
Speaker 21 (44:19):
When our key fense plays like they did against a
high powered offense like that, I mean, we're gonna be
a hard team to stop.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
Hi, thank you. It sounded like Chip Kelly came right
in the middle of that conversation.
Speaker 11 (44:28):
If it's at a tone, it was only you made
a great boxing analogy playing They came with jabs.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
It almost felt like they came with they came with hooks.
They didn't wait, there was no time to jab. They're
just running.
Speaker 11 (44:41):
They're sprinting out of the corner and they're saying, you're
gonna take these punches and you're not gonna be able.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
To do anything. After that, Oregon wanted the boxing match.
They wanted to duck a little bit, you know, hit
some hit some.
Speaker 11 (44:53):
Jabs, and the Olives State said, no, you're getting every
bit of power that we have immediately and you're gonna
deal with it.
Speaker 7 (45:00):
Speaking of offensive explosions, quinn Sewn Jenkins was efficient tonight
a little bit from the Ohio State Star transfer after
advancing to the semi finals.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
R W John Man.
Speaker 19 (45:12):
To see the offense come out on fire the way
that you guys were from the second straight game here
in the CFP.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
What went into that?
Speaker 3 (45:18):
Man?
Speaker 22 (45:18):
I think just the expectation that we have for each other,
and obviously the work that we put in outside of
just being here tonight, all the hard days and long
nights and all the different things we put into meetings.
Speaker 3 (45:28):
He paid off.
Speaker 19 (45:29):
And then obviously seeing your buddy Trevion go the distance
on one like that, what did that feel like for you?
Speaker 3 (45:34):
I was super excited.
Speaker 22 (45:35):
We always talk about it every day to meetings, like bro,
I mean, you to take one longer close than what
I'd be before, So we always look about it.
Speaker 3 (45:41):
But I'm glad to see Hi, I'm taking that run
all the way.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
You look, you're your offensive line.
Speaker 14 (45:44):
You know.
Speaker 19 (45:45):
It's obviously had some pieces go back and forth, shuffling
guys in and out with the injuries, keeping will clean
and opening up in the run game today?
Speaker 2 (45:52):
What can you say about that?
Speaker 4 (45:52):
Group.
Speaker 22 (45:53):
Man, that was one of our biggest things that we
wanted to be cleaar of, especially not beat is holding
each other accountable, but make sure that every holds that
block and gives a will time to throw it downfield
like he did today.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
So it was awesome.
Speaker 19 (46:05):
How many adjectives like are you running out of adjectives
for Jeremiah and what he's done as a freshman to
go out here and have a performance like that.
Speaker 3 (46:11):
I'm running out of agagus my whole offense, man.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
What do you think this team's got left in him now?
Speaker 19 (46:18):
If through two of these a right obviously dominant day
on the defensive side of the ball.
Speaker 2 (46:23):
What was key for you guys to get the job
done tonight?
Speaker 9 (46:25):
I think guys just locked in. Uh we got to
mass some rushing from the first game that we big mistakes.
I hurt us last game, and I think we the
game play was good. Coach knows had us ready put
us in the right position to make plays.
Speaker 19 (46:35):
Minus negative yardage rushing. What goes into an effort like that?
Speaker 9 (46:39):
Yeah, I mean everyone doing their job, man, Everyone locking
in and doing their job is good, great coaching, great
play calling, Like Coach knows.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
Like I said, he's put that position to make plays.
What eight sacks nine on Organ's quarterback.
Speaker 9 (46:48):
Man, that's the best teams line the country. I mean,
that's why we expect fro him. Every time they're they're dominant.
They can dominate anybody when they made the choice of
doing it. So it's amazing made all life got easier.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Would you describe the confidence level of this team right now?
Because these two I'm gonna wins in the CFT. Yeah,
I mean, obviously we're for a little good.
Speaker 9 (47:02):
We know we're temble love, we know we're temple of this,
and obviously we are about to go play a great
team in Texas.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
I'm pretty sure they won't right, so I mean, we
als gonna be that's a good battle.
Speaker 9 (47:09):
So obvious Anna runs going, We're not gonna lay down
for it's great team, So we're decided to go play
sim
Speaker 7 (47:14):
Channel eighty four didn't nine won't be back after that
game on Thursday night to recap it on or tonight
