we are old for our labor. Callie House she was
born a slave. She went out all around in the
community to other black people that they ought, asked the
government to get somebody because they were pulled and they
were desperate. By the nineteen hundred, she had three hundred

(04:37):
thousand dues paying members. It was the largest organization of
black folk that had existed. Pretty soon her activities came
to the attention of the government and they convicted her
a fraud. The federal charge was that at a time
when you should have known that the federal governm that

(05:00):
would never give negroes anything, why will you telling negroes
they should organize.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
On a universe that five thirty and I'm taken with it.
You know, everybody says they have their own favorite thing
in life. I want to say joy is the greatest
thing in life. If you have health, and you have
your wealth, and you have joy in life. Isn't that
what we all want in life? And stay away from bad?
What are you gonna do if you're dealing with somebody

(11:33):
who's bad, full of negativinity running, you just gotta run away,
don't try to fix it.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Everybody will find their own level of life.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
If somebody's gonna sit there and argue about nothing, you
just gotta walk away, walking away, So.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Praise, give it, praise, praise, praise, And when.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
You walk away, somebody else is it's yours whenever you
want it. Stand in that line there there, how's that,
mister fun? Stand in that line?

Speaker 3 (11:57):
You get a stand in that line every day. That's
my flory of figuring ridden.

Speaker 5 (12:01):
I want to say, I got a lot of my
stuff to talk about the day I got some n
that's all Simba gots coming up. But I want to
say I love giving praise to the Vetterman's Prices hot Line.
They really are experienced helping vetements and their loved ones
get help.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
If you know anybody going.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
Did you sees? You just pick up the phone and
call eight hundred and two seven three eight two five
five and eight hundred two seven.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Three eighty two fifty five.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
You can take eight three eight two five five. That's
eighty three eight two five five. If your online simply
go to the vetterments lines, not that that's Vettermu's line that.
And when you're doing you want to give us some
praise because we all need somebody to lean up. Any
seer's good when somebody's needing that, well, that's my thorite,
I'm thinking, riddle. I want to take what's called the

(12:45):
mixie pause off known as a mixy ten dollars. I'll
be back of this mouth.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I had to invent a guy that didn't exist. I
had to build this callous mind, and that built it
through suffering. Yeah, that's where it was going about suffering.
Cult chieve, I said, I trained longer than the guys.
I'll bet that if I hurry myself and a stream
and suffering, I'll be that.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I think that's why I just clicked in my mind
that if you just run through somebody's face, a lot
of people ain't gonna be able to take that over and.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Over and over over and over again. They're just not
gonna want that.

Speaker 6 (13:30):
That's is nice, God, good lie, this is final.

Speaker 16 (13:43):
Oh my boy, Remember who we are and who were
representing It's not about of press.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
It's about of people.

Speaker 7 (13:59):
Who die.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Trauba damn.

Speaker 7 (14:10):
How come.

Speaker 10 (14:17):
You all right?

Speaker 17 (14:18):
Baby Jo?

Speaker 7 (14:22):
What diy life?

Speaker 10 (14:23):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (14:39):
What is I go?

Speaker 6 (14:41):
Where?

Speaker 18 (14:46):
For seventy years we've now meant anything as possible At
the moment we enter our happy place. As long as
elephants still.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Fly, Hey, the bubble of carry your woods.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Across the last.

Speaker 18 (15:11):
And the hero's symbol.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
This is how memories are made.

Speaker 18 (15:19):
As long as the night shines bright with joy and
longs form our hearts.

Speaker 10 (15:31):
So small.

Speaker 7 (15:32):
All right, as long as we have each.

Speaker 18 (15:44):
Other here, we have everything that makes this place the happiest.

Speaker 19 (15:58):
Bed join us for the seventieth celebration that the happiest
place on earth.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
All right, went back for the big seeds of awful
known at the big seat. Time out to follow the
big sea sports twenty four hours a day, seven days
a week, or thirty two platform lacrosse. You first right
down the line from the black ball. You gotta get
that for praise. Canna praise, praise, praise because I praised.

(16:35):
If there trumbling in the week, I know we'll be
ready for the football sef for the kick up which
NFL head coach will win the most games as they
new me in two that twenty five.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
I've got some thoughts.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
I want to see him with you. Well, I gotta
go down to the line down under. If he's in
the United Tea called it's called Texas got the Texas.
Dallas Cowboys playing inside. Now, his father won two oundred
regular season games, so obviously you might think heve me
be a good choice for the Cowboys. I would have
thought they would have taken a deyas standers. Jerry Jones

(17:11):
has a mine of his own. At the same time,
Dallas Cowboys treated camp and up star at California. Down
there on the coach up sothern. California is a new
vibe around the team is a direct reflection of miss
Energy and his new leader, who has emphasized to the
activity between players and coaches. Says d one fills a

(17:31):
new found chemistry. Let's be complimented with the discipline approach
that teach. There's more accountability and the attention to detail
that Dallas Cowboys. How about those cowboys, Jerry Jones, how
about those cowboys Karry Jones. They gotta get parts of
the sign.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
That's my story.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
That digging with it. But Dallas Cowboys. They have a
talented roster. It might maximize as a miss potential under
the direction at first time head coach utilizing the blueprints
they helped.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
His dad, Marty Shuttinghammer win.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
Twitter regulars in the games. He's not to use a
chimpuff they go blow up and off of the mind
the coach with a season francast quttering back in touchdown
Dak Prescott AF frand Devin WARWM he got presdent ten
Dallas Cowboys fifty yard line beagle with the five man
front Cowboys Dak Pruscott in the shot golf.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
That he's rolling to his white he stops and rolls again.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
He rode down, build the bathers cord cord for the
touchdown touchdown Cowboys CD Lamb fifty yards where they got
a has some of that this year on the touchdown
Dak Prescott to get it bfy off the line in
collected the big time playmakers in the passing game Ceedee Lamb,

(18:47):
George Pickts and Jake Pukison.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
My shut Hammer and his son's gonna do some work.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
I think what is gonna be proud and what his
son is gonna do for the Cowboys the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Time is right now, right here, right down.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Right here, right now for the Dallas Cowboys, I gotta
look at they gottamn the relationships with superstar Andrews and
Michae Process. Dallas Cowboys. The defense can produce enough last
plays in Nigton players, big big top plays they.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Got again like a parcess happy. It's just money to
your job. It's just money.

Speaker 5 (19:24):
If you're a millionaire, why you squabble over a couple
of million dollars? That's my story.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
I'm thinking with it.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
They used to be called America Team Dallas called America's
media team. If that makes sense. Team here's the Dallas Cowboys.
So praise they will praise, praise, praise. And then there's
another another rookie head coach. If they was Ben Johnson
with the Chicago Bears. The offensive Wizards steps into a
perfect situation with a different quarterback, Consqua Servie winning out

(19:51):
of usc in two the out twenty four number one
overall VIC stand up Williams. At the same time, who
needed a new playbook, an upgrade? The supporting cast up
playmakers now Chicago dropping at Colvin Lovelan and Luther Burton,
the third in the first two rounds and then protectors
the Bears are Vettervans, Joe Treny, Jonah Jackson, Andrew Dolphin.

(20:13):
At the same time, they get a kid, some protection
around kidd and wins because he's a big time player,
gonna make big time plays and his success will determine
how old people look at Ben Johnson. You know, when
the team includes, they blame the they blame the coach.
When the teams win, they blame the players. At the
same time, I gotta look at the Dennis Allen led

(20:35):
defense will be lead, but they wouldn't have enough to stop,
make enough stop to get the Bears offense back on
the field. The Bears to score points. The Bears are
talking caught him, crad him. They can score points. They
gotta have a defense that turns the ball over and
gets it back in the hand. So we'll see how
well that goes. But to Cargo Bears, I want to
get the Bears some prise. I want to get them praise, praise.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Another that's gonna be looked at under microscope.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
The Great Mike Cramble with the New England Patriots when
Bob Captain decided to bring back Grabel to fox Boroughs
at vive bet Patriots. He was counting on the three
time Super Bowl champion to lotilize some of the toughness
and the attaches that helped the franchise dominate the league
for the first two decades with the Millennium. At the
same time, a worse to first jump is unlock the

(21:25):
m division that runs through Buffalo. You gotta realize how
tough they are. And at the same time, Miami's always
gonna be good. The Jets maybe not as much, but
Miami's always a threat and Buffalo is the best team
in that division in the MV East. That's my stroat
end up.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Taking with it.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
New England is bound to improve with an established wide
receiver number one touchdown Stevon Beast also helping out the
great Drake May. You gotta realize they have to have
these players playing. They gotta take another step in the protection.
Tom Brady's gone, he's not coming back, but they got
to have the team that Newison can be proud of.

(22:05):
That's mood Steward them to get with it. So I
think it's gonna take some time for Raybom because he's
gonna have to battle up heel against the.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Buff four Bills and in the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
Now they'll probably fight for a third place, and that
was unheard of when Tom Brady was planning with the
great defenses that he had back in the day all
ever worked. I gotta look at a number four coach
Liam Cole for the Jacksonville Jaguars be thinking about it.
After transforming touchdown Baker made fulland to a touchdown machine

(22:36):
in twenty twenty four, Colin can help form another former
number one overall pick in his group. And the great
Trevor Lawrence performance also hit his on his connection with
the promise of the young pass catchers and Brian Thomas Junior,
Chammas Hunter and also partner Washington as well as Britnet
Strands have to do play caller to create plenty of options.

(22:58):
He gotta find a way to get the ball over
the hands of your playmakers. Now, Trevor Lawn's got a
lot of money. He got big time money for a
big time player. Once he said in that contract he
hasn't been the same. I guess you can see that
a lot of guys they don't they don't play the
same on this side of a major, major contract. But
I think that team is gonna it's gonna play a
long way and Liam porting how much people think about

(23:21):
him defensively Jacksonville, they had to move to a vision
based game under new coordinator Anthony Kampanelling at the same
time Hunter Shamas Hunter. He had to throw out as
a two ways stand out. I would say, playing a
hundred more on defense, you already have a pretty decent offense.
Plays a man on defense. I know you can play
both leaves, but you don't want to get him banged up.

(23:42):
In the NFL, I was talking about defense. He's a
great man that can just pop them shut down. I
want to he's a shutdown corner, but he plays defense offends.
You get hit too many times. Everybody's going to hit
you on offense. Defense, you're hunting. On offense, You're being hunted.
Safest talent, so he can hunt and they hand have
been down there with him on the offense. That's why
I throw it up. Digging with him, whether Josh Hayas

(24:03):
Allens and Trey Broon Walker in places very Kavirick on
the edges, the turnovers could become a buntious for a
team upsets with picking off baths and Timpson overthrows.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Given the outside impact of explosive.

Speaker 5 (24:15):
Players and turnovers on the outcome of games, Coyn could
have another Jaguar. They get it back to the playoffs.
That's why I'm throwing up digging with it. Well, I
want to tell you there's another coach that I'm really
excited about, Aaron Glynn for the New York Jicks. The
Jets fly high because they got a lot of fuel.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
That makes sense to Aaron Glynn.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
The Glenn might have followed the blueprint created by his
former head coach and Bill Parcells.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
To refer to the forces of a frantise that it's
not made.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
The playoffs, playoffs, playoffs.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
They're trying to win a game.

Speaker 5 (24:48):
Since twenty ten, the Hall of Fame head coach at
Boys a tough love approach.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Along with the mill cow.

Speaker 5 (24:55):
I'm gonna be a football senidate that helped the Jets
with the nineteen ninety eight MC Champions of Game where
they talent that defense and in place for plays first
season after him he gets in the front office, Frocus,
the Cookers are giving him some leeway to get to
ask Lee May but I gotta take it as another
another hope that just landed in New York City. His

(25:15):
name is Justin Fields. Dean Ravocs the Jesse and duel
brat quarterback with a big arm and Russian ability to
complete supposed to plays downfield. That baster and attack couldn't
be a step away with Bettan Kimmerley on the perimeter
and feels m Kiles's connection with from rohwise Day teammate
Gary Wilson in the ground game, Breeze Hall and then
Brayden Allen settled in the roles as great running backs

(25:38):
to the New York Just all you gotta do if
you want to watch the just win put on Joe
name it Broadway Joe when he won their only Super Bowl.
That's way back in the day. That's my story up
they with him. I gotta bring it to another quarterback
that should have some success. His name is Killing More
for the who that says they're gonna beat them Saints

(25:58):
for the New Orleans Saints. The Wildwick the quarterback Guru
has worked out out for him in year one with
an unprovedn trio mask. Look at this Tyler show Spencer
Rattler and Jake Hayner. I like Hanna out of Frevno's
date buying for the number one spot. Now Carr retired
had a hitch in his giddea Up didn't want to
have surgery, so Derrek Cartin sided to retire as an

(26:21):
NFL player with the Saints. I wish he would have
let them know last year. I would say Jake Hanner
is my opinion, is a Mets quarterback. I know Spencer
Ratland is good, Tyler Show is good, but I've seen
Hayna come in and he was in a plassic system
at Fretho's th You got to pass the ball a
lot for the Saints to win games. I like him
more of the Show than Ratland. Now, in my opinion,

(26:42):
you gotta have a belief that you're not going to
be pulled, kick a quarterback and go with it.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
You got to do that in the former NFL quarterback.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
Must quickly established through the starting signal calls abilities in
order to produce and also that fully maximized with attalic
on the perimeter. While New Orleans faints, they see who
that saying they're gonna beat them faces. The veteran leadership
on both sides of the ball could help keep the
team of Cloak a tail QB number one in mergers,
and I'm just saying, you got you gotta do it.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Jake Canderson be the guy. They have some great receivers
in running.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
Backs, running back Alvin Kamara, Brandon Cooks, Cam Jordan's the
Mario Davis and Justin Reed. This Parker rise and got
an inexperience or an effective quarterback. I think if you
go with he and it, they're gonna be fine. That's
why I threw it. I'm digging with it.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
But now the guys that I'm really excited.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
About because he's a he's a patriarch of coaches in
the NFL, the Las Vegas Raiders. He a man who
with a raidar Al Davis. Now I'm not saying Pete
kills all Davis. Allen Davids is known as a maverick.
But what I love about Pete Carroll, he's a players coach.
He lets guys do their thing. I remember when he

(27:56):
was coaching at USC, he had a lot of celebrities
that come around the coliseum. And there's Reggie Bush, and
there's there's Matt Leiner and so many others laid by Luca,
so many One of the players that played at USC
back in the day they had Jarrett, they had so
many one of the players, and Pete Kill allowed and
actually embraced the community, come to the coliseum practice and

(28:20):
watched the good boys play. And then he went to
Seattle and a guy that a lot of guys knew
their thing, from Basebo to Russell Houdini Wilson, and of course,
of course you got in that their defense was like
the Blue Wave, if that makes sense to Richard Truman
doing his thing. But I like Pete Kill in Las
Vegas gonna one, it's not gonna He doesn't have to
stand outside the rain. It rains a lot of Seattle.

(28:42):
It doesn't rain as much at all in Las Vegas
and be in the dome. And I love the fact
that he's always so full of energy. If you watch
Pete Kill, how could you not have any that man
he's like, He's like Obi wan Kenobi is full of
wythm arm with the oles Who brand that has helped
them build a championship team on the professional and collegiate levels.

(29:04):
Pete Carroll will follow the script with the ZeVA and
back a four wind team last season. Despite playing in
the division with the trio of twenty twenty four playoff
participants the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
He should be much more definitive with pro Bowl collar
J Smith leading.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
On on the US top of Bowl tight end, the
second year broke Rock Bowers and supreme talent a running
back and takeover ability six over.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Last the Vegas Creators.

Speaker 5 (29:34):
They have some holes on the other side of the ball,
but Max probably is a defensive player of the Year
in Candidate, and the Union added a number of experienced
vettermins in the off seasons, a lot like with the
Raiders would back in the day and open when he
would go get guys that had a lot of experience
and some free heres before he bringing them into a
Raider uniform as a team building nam the run of

(29:55):
cents of approach with the intent unforcing opponents to play
Patty consens the game. There are Raiders. The ability to
win one score games can determine whether they can hover
around five hundred and be Kill's debut.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
I think the Raiders will win.

Speaker 5 (30:10):
I know it's hard to see because they were assume
where last year, but their office is good. Their defense
is gonna be improved this year. They have a head
couch that players they give the extra different for and
I tell you if people may complain and say, oh
I'm big, see are yall you're fall line?

Speaker 3 (30:25):
But I think the Raiders are gonna win the scrowl.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
What are yall your ball and mind? I got the
Raiders winning the Anti champions in and going to Super
Bowl sixty in San Francisco. Back to the Bay Kid
has some praise. You gotta give it. Praise praise bred
the Raiders versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
In Super Bowl sixty.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
I'm gonna take it's called the busy pause off and
onto the BISI time out.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
I think that coun just the moment it's in NFL football.

Speaker 3 (32:12):

Speaker 5 (32:17):

Speaker 4 (33:49):

Speaker 1 (36:03):
Here's Bruce Murray and Todd Haley. It is our tour
day series.

Speaker 21 (36:06):
A stop at Number one, the final stop in the
Tourday Series, which started a long time ago with the
Tennessee Titans.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
They were number thirty two.

Speaker 21 (36:13):
Today, it's all about the Philadelphia Eagles, defending Super Bowl champions.
We look back coach at two thousand and twenty four
that saw the Eagles win fourteen times and only lose
once after that week four by on their way to
a win in New Orleans forty to twenty two.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Let's take it ok at their offseason. We'll get to
the draft class in a second, but we.

Speaker 21 (36:30):
Always start with their free agent gains and their free
agent losses, And let's start with their free agent losses
first before we get to the games. When you're the
Super Bowl champion coach, there's always going to be guys
that move on to other opportunities. You can't pay everybody.
Howie Roseman does a phenomenal job, and we'll talk about
that with the draft and getting guys ready to transition
into the starting roles. But my losses for this football team,

(36:52):
we get started with Brandon Graham and that's not a
loss to another team, that's just a retirement. Two hundred
and six games in a career for Brandon gay Ram.
That's number one of the all time games played. The
list for the Philadelphia Eagles. Jason Kelsey's number two at
one ninety three thirteen more. He retires with seventy six
and a half sacks. James Bradberry has gone. Didn't play

(37:13):
last year, missed it with an ACL but that was
two years and thirty three starts. Milton Williams has gone.
He gets the biggest offseason contract. He's now in New England.
Five sacks last year, but at two sacks in the
Super Bowl, which probably got him a big money contract
in the offseason. Chel Sweat has gone after eight sacks
last years and being there for seven years with forty
three sacks. Terrius Slay has gone five years, seventy three starts, fourteen.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Of them last year.

Speaker 21 (37:37):
Makai Beckton, we know what kind of impact he had
on the offensive line here in a contract out in
Los Angeles for the Chargers.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Some other losses.

Speaker 21 (37:45):
Isaiah Rodgers is in Minnesota, Avonte Maddicks has gone after
seven years or in Burks. Kevin get Kenneth gain Will
a lot of losses with his football team coach. I'll
get into the free agens signings in a second, but
that's a lot of personnel.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
To make up for.

Speaker 22 (37:58):
Yeah, is as you read the names off, it's it
sounds daunting. You know, Brandon Graham, you know Milton, you
know that everybody you talked about. You know, they were
pretty productive guys for a long time for them that
they counted on Sleigh, I mean, the whole list. I mean,

(38:19):
it's like, wow, how are you going to overcome that?
But you know what I'd say is I probably felt
the same way when Kelsey decided to retire. You know,
how they're going to overcome that loss?

Speaker 1 (38:29):
They did?

Speaker 22 (38:30):
You know, they they they had somebody ready to develop
to come in and play, you know, and and Cam
Jurgen's and even when he had issues, you know, they
were able to make shift things together and still have
arguably the best.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Line in the in the NFL. So it sounds like
a lot.

Speaker 22 (38:49):
But as you said, I mean, and how we trust
I mean, he's just he and his staff, along with
the coaches, have done a tremendous job of identifying, you know,
what losses could come and fill in those holes and
having the guys developed and ready to step in and play.
So I'm kind of that's kind of my mindset with

(39:11):
the Eagles right now, they're going to figure it out.

Speaker 21 (39:15):
With most teams, coach, we look at offseason losses and
offseason gains and it's never equal, but usually some of
the losses are offset by some of the games or
vice versa. Now we look at the games for this
football team, and they didn't add a starter. Now maybe
you'd argue, well, where could they add a starter. I mean,
they've got three wide receivers. You're not signing a wide receiver.

(39:36):
Their offensive line is solid, and they've got some depth
up there through the draft. They've got Dallas Gotto, you know,
obviously don't need to have a running back. Defensively across
the board, you know, you've got Zach Bonn and I'll
mention him because he was re signed, but he was
a member of that football team.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
They have no new starters.

Speaker 21 (39:54):
I mean, the most significant signing is that Zizo Jalaria
comes over from the Giants after four years, which only
means that he's going to be an All Pro this
year for the Philadelphia Eagles. But they didn't hand out
one multi year deal, coach, not one multi year deal.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Josh Hush gets a one year deal.

Speaker 21 (40:10):
Adorri Jackson gets a one year deal, guys like Kendall Lamb,
Matt Pleier, AJ Dillon. You know, there's depth pieces here,
but you can kind of measure a team's off season
by how many teams, how many players got multi year deals.
If you look at their losses, they have five players
that got multi year deals, including Williams and Sweat who
got four year deals each. They didn't signed one player

(40:31):
to a multi year deal. What do you think about
the guys they brought into this team.

Speaker 1 (40:34):
Well, again, I'm gonna say, and Howie, I trust.

Speaker 22 (40:39):
I mean, he's just had a magic touch when it
comes to, as you said to add and Dapt, you know,
preparing for losses that can happen always within the within
the game. So you know, I don't like your joke
about the Giants. I don't think that was fair to
the Giants. But they just you know, they're well coached,

(41:02):
they're well prepared.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
We say it all the time.

Speaker 22 (41:04):
They seem at times, Howie, in general, it seems to
be playing chess.

Speaker 21 (41:09):
Will everybody else is playing checkers a lot of the time,
no question about that. And he really does that through
the draft, coach, And that's where we'll finish off their
off season, because we'll break it down with ten players.
Ten players for the football team. However, they had no
seventh round draft pick. They got the first round pick,
which I watched him and practice. Coach over your a
different maker in Johat Campbell. They take four on offense,

(41:33):
three of them up front, six of them on defense,
including their first five.

Speaker 1 (41:37):
Let's go through their draft class in the offseason.

Speaker 22 (41:40):
Yeah, I was excited about this one, Bruce. You know
it's the last one. You know, they're number one in
the list. So and then I see ten picks, I'm like, Okay,
this is gonna be good. A lot of but yeah,
a lot of homework, but I'm fine with work. But
Johat Campbell, as you said, out of Alabama, their first pick.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Number thirty one.

Speaker 22 (42:00):
Overall, we know it's difficult to draft when you're sitting
at the back of the draft like they were, but
you know, moved up, you know, a spot to get him.
But six three, two thirty five, four five two, ten
to seven broad, he's only twenty one years old.

Speaker 21 (42:19):
What is he.

Speaker 22 (42:21):
It's easy to say off the ball guy, but I
think this guy is going to bring a lot.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
To the table.

Speaker 22 (42:27):
You know, Nikobe Dean will be recovering off this torn
patelli he had last year, So I think that gives
great opportunity for this guy to show up in rush packages.
He gets to learn from Zach Bond, who's one of
the best in the business, compete with Jeremiah.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
Trotter for that off the ball position.

Speaker 22 (42:47):
But I think this guy in the in the first
year anyway, you know, I think he'll be have a
distinguished or a detailed role, you know, and some of
that will involved rush in the passer because he can
do that, but he can fly around and make plays.
He was he was top ten on their board, and
I know, you love this, Bruce when when teams say

(43:08):
he was top ten, you know, and they're picking thirty first.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
But yeah, you know, it worked out in this case.

Speaker 22 (43:14):
I think I think they got a heck of a
player that as I said, they moved up a spot
to get him.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
They really wanted to get this guy on the team.
So they love the sec.

Speaker 22 (43:23):
We know that Round two pick sixty four State defense
Andrew maccab out of Texas only played one year at
Texas three years at Clemson, but he's a safety six
foot one hundred and ninety. He can run four four five,
four year starter, you know through his college career. I
think what'll be interesting with Andrew is just where he plays.

(43:46):
Is he a safety? Is he more Nickel? So again
it's it's finding these unique players that can really fill
a role on a good team. And if you can
do that with these first couple of picks, I think
you're you're cooking with gas, I really do. And I
think they had a clear cut plan of what where
they wanted to fill some of the potential holes in

(44:07):
their defense.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
But safety Nickel, what is the.

Speaker 22 (44:09):
Five interceptions in twenty twenty four, He'll compete with Sydney
Brown and Red Blanketship who's the hecking player, you know.

Speaker 6 (44:16):
And.

Speaker 22 (44:18):
That'll help him a bunch. So I think another good
pick Brown. Now they skipped round four, pick one to eleven.
They stayed defense again. Defensive tackle Ty Robinson out of Nebraska,
big dude six five to eighty eight. He ran four
to eight to three Bruce, which was the fastest interior
defensive lineman time at the combine. So another guy that

(44:41):
can run a little older twenty four years old, but
has athleticis in twenty eight reps On the on the bench.
He jumped almost ten feet at that size. Pretty impressive.
And you mentioned the loss of Milton Williams. I think
they had a clear cut again plan going into this
draft that they know they lost one of their best players.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
They got to fill that hole.

Speaker 22 (45:03):
But fifteen tackles for the loss for Nebraska last year,
most at Nebraska since food and Dominican sue, So all right,
think they got a chance to have a player here. Yeah,
a good company to be in. Round five pick one
forty five. If they go corners, they stay defense again.

(45:24):
Mac mcwill williams out of UCFI, another fast guy, four
to four to one. I think the interesting thing here
is with Cooper dejen If he you know, who played
a lot of nickel last year. If they moved him outside,
which I think could happen, you know they had another plan.
This is the guy that might be the nickel, So

(45:46):
definitely something to keep an eye on. But he's fast,
he'll contribute on special teams. Another good pick in my
opinion anyway. Round five, defense again, Pick one sixty one.
Samiluh Modon Junior my right and got me a gay
out of Georgia.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
What's what shock is about? That it's his first name. Smile,
believe it or not. Smile. Yeah. But Georgia, they love
Georgia players.

Speaker 22 (46:16):
You know, he'll go along with Janen Carter, Davis, Dean Ringo,
Nolan Smith all on the defense. They got a lot
of Georgia players or former Georgia players there. So I'm
sure they feel like they've struck gold here six two
to twenty four, kind of a tweeter type guy, but
fast again four or five eighth? Is he going to

(46:37):
be inside outside nickel? He played them all in college
at Georgia. Uh, you know, and that's interesting. I think,
you know, get an undersized linebacker that can run and
cover some of these tight ends that they'll have to face.
Definitely help on special teams. Round five, one sixty eight
Drew Kendall. They finally go offense, they go center out
of Boston College. You know, they make a qual the

(47:00):
lineman there in Boston College. But six four three oh
eight he can run five five flat forty started thirty
seven games at center. But I think with him, probably
they're looking at depth, you know, with the injury now
that Lanna Dickerson seems like a pretty good pick at
this point, they didn't know what was going to happen.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
But I think he could play guard or center, but
it gives him depth.

Speaker 22 (47:23):
He's a former team captain, quality dude, so you know, again,
fifth round, but probably another could pick round six, one
eighty one.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Now they go quarterback.

Speaker 22 (47:34):
Town McCord out of Syracuse, only played one year there
at three to Ohio State.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
He's big, prototypical quarterback, pocket passer.

Speaker 22 (47:43):
He's not going to be a runner, but he led
the FBS in yards last year with four seven and
seventy nine, thirty four touchdowns twelve interceptions. Kind of pulled
Syracuse out of the the darkness, you know, But is
he going to stick?

Speaker 1 (48:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 22 (48:01):
Maybe practice squad because Tarrer McKee looks pretty darn good
to me.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
I don't think they have much to worry about a quarterback.

Speaker 22 (48:08):
And then round sick six again Miles Hill Hinton out
of Michigan. Two years at Michigan, three years Stanford, I think.
But six seven three twenty three, now you're getting into
the trades. Guys, six seven three twenty three ran under
five flat, pretty impressive twenty starts. Probably gives them a

(48:30):
chance to find another swing type tackle even though they're
they're looking pretty good at the tackle position, left end right,
a guy that developed staying in round sick six, Cameron
Williams out of Texas another trade at six five three seventeen,
only twenty one, so room to grow. Maybe maybe you know,

(48:52):
playing in the tackle position as Lane Johnson, you know,
gets up there in his career, you know how much
longer is he going to be there?

Speaker 1 (48:58):
Is this a guy that could pointed to say, we
got to have a guy ready.

Speaker 22 (49:02):
And then their final pick, edge rusher Antoine Powell Ryland
out of Virginia Tech.

Speaker 1 (49:07):
Played three years in Florida, two at Virginia Tech.

Speaker 22 (49:09):
An older guy sixty three, two fifty eight, four sixty
four sixty nine sound familiar traits, thirty eight verticle, almost
eleven foot broad. You know, a guy that can run
around and again help They lost Sweat, they lost Brandon Graham.
I just think the draft in general, Bruce, they had

(49:30):
a clear cut plan of how they wanted to handle it.
You laugh about it when and all of a sudden
the right player is at the right spot.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
But it just seemed complete to me. Not a bad
draft class.

Speaker 21 (49:43):
And as you said, and how we we trust it's
hard to look at anything they do and Ben, you know,
say it's not going to work. And I do think
it's funny you point out all the guys that they
draft from the SEC, how often they dipped into that conference,
you know, drafting Campbell out of Alabama again, you know Georgia.
So many guys from Georgia on that football team. It's
a deep class. I know most of them are developmental

(50:04):
or trade guys, as you like to say. When you
get to round five. Seven players drafted in rounds five
and six. None in round seven. They only had two
picks in the top one hundred. But this is a
team that has depped right now, so you know they're
hoping some of these guys.

Speaker 1 (50:17):
Come in and compete.

Speaker 10 (50:17):
All right.

Speaker 1 (50:18):
That wraps up their offseason.

Speaker 21 (50:19):
Coach obviously looked at their free agency, just wrapped up
their draft.

Speaker 23 (50:22):
When we come back, we wrap up the Eagles, our
final stop on the two days by looking at the
schedule and the over under what Las Vegas thinks of
the Eagles will have that when we come back on
the Blitz after we get you.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
Up well the latest two minute rail Serio NFL Radio.

Speaker 24 (50:42):
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who has yet to practice to
do an aggravated disc in its back.

Speaker 1 (50:47):
We'll work out on Saturday.

Speaker 24 (50:49):
The head coach Sean McVay that at the workout will
be similar to what he did in August ninth, and
hopefully his back responds a little bit better.

Speaker 1 (50:56):
She's wet out, she writes.

Speaker 24 (50:57):
He's expected to have disciplinary hearing with the Lee on
September thirtieth, their gunny potential punishment stemming from last year's
car crash to left multiple people injured. Brice now likely
to be able to play in the first four weeks
of the season. Former coach at Serious XMNFL radio host
Todd Haley compares the uncertainty of Rice's situation with the
Chiefs out of Vikings led U Jordan Addison, who was

(51:18):
already suspended the first three games of the season.

Speaker 22 (51:20):
You play with who you have and when it happens,
then you deal with it. So is it nicer in
Minnesota situation with Addison? I don't know, you can plan
and you know, you kind of know, cut and dry,
it's a lot less gray. This makes it a little
more difficult, I would say, for sure, But you got
to make the most of it. Why you have them
and then see how the chips fall.

Speaker 24 (51:39):
Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert will play in his first ever
preseason game Saturday against the Rams, taking roughly eight plays
with other starters.

Speaker 1 (51:46):
