But at the same time, are you ready for some
college slipballs?
Speaker 6 (12:34):
Yeah? Fo goodness, kind of quick take up the Colors
foot ball. They would have got the fawn in Ireland,
and you had Iowa's Day and they had a game
versus Kansas State. I don't know why they went that
far and played.
Speaker 8 (12:48):
They have a lot of stadiums in the United States,
and they played the rain off frand even one and
then Kansas got a big winner of Friends on Saint

Speaker 7 (17:41):
That's the powerful backing of American Express.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Do you know why there is a black card?
Speaker 17 (17:46):
Why The Annexed Black cod is one of the most
exclusive credit cards in the world, flaunted by celebrities and
the ultra wealthy.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
The Black car. It's a ridiculous amount I got. One
of those.
Speaker 17 (18:00):
Benefits of the card include access to a private terminal
at Lax Airport that most people don't even know exists. No,
not a private lounge, but a whole private terminal called
the Private Suite that is just for celebrities and wealthy people.
Speaker 9 (18:14):
And a concierge that can.
Speaker 17 (18:15):
Get you tickets to sold out shows and last minute
tables at popular restaurants.
Speaker 9 (18:20):
But did you know that the card started as a myth,
an urban legend.
Speaker 17 (18:24):
But there was a super exclusive black Annex card for
the ultra wealthy, And there was apparently one man that
called the president of American Express and made the myth
become a reality.
Speaker 9 (18:35):
Hey, Credit Warriors, Welcome to the show.
Speaker 17 (18:37):
And in this video we are going to talk about
the origin story of the Annex Black card.
Speaker 9 (18:42):
Some origin stories are good enough to be repeated again.
Speaker 19 (18:49):
And again.
Speaker 7 (18:52):
And again. Can you play me? Probably break here, you
know what?
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Whatever?
Speaker 17 (18:56):
Even if it different, all right, I don't know where
I was going with that. Sin is the first time
I talked about this particular origin story. So the man
we are talking about is the comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who
needs no introduction. He's done countless comedy shows over the years,
including a few recent Netflix specials, but back in the
nineties he did a load of commercials for American Express
(19:17):
about a.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Cruise ship by slip right overcording potion view.
Speaker 17 (19:23):
In a video from twenty eighteen, which was recently uploaded
to YouTube as a short by Netflix, he talks about
how he alone allegedly inspired the creation of the Annex
Centurion cut, also known as the Black Cut. The story
starts when he was shooting one of his Annex commercials.
Speaker 20 (19:39):
I was waiting for them to move some cameras and
kru guy comes up and he says, you got the
black herd.
Speaker 17 (19:44):
So the idea, according to him, actually came from a
camera guy. Let's keep watching.
Speaker 7 (19:49):
What's the black cart?
Speaker 20 (19:51):
Well, so something BRUNEI has one, president from American Express
has one.
Speaker 7 (19:56):
I thought you would have the thermal.
Speaker 17 (19:58):
So since this camera guy knew about I'm guessing the
urban myth had already started spreading before this incident, but
Jerry was just actually able to do something about it.
Speaker 20 (20:08):
Next morning, I call the president of American Express, go
is there a black cart? He says, it's just a rumor.
It doesn't exist. He said, but you know what, it's
not a bad idea. And so they developed it and
they gave me the first one.
Speaker 17 (20:20):
And this part does seem like it could be true.
The card, after all, was released in nineteen ninety nine,
which lines up with the time when Seinfeld was doing
his AMEX commercials in the nineties.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
I can express right, no presearch spending limit, don't.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
I know it.
Speaker 17 (20:35):
Seinfeld did apparently receive the first one, and he still
has it to this day. Here's another clip from that
interview that shows him handing the car to his co starff.
Speaker 7 (20:44):
Look at the weight of this car. This is a
different type of plastic the people have.
Speaker 9 (20:49):
So Seinfeld's got one, But what about the Sultan of BRUNEI?
Speaker 7 (20:52):
So what about the Sultan of BRUNEI was very.
Speaker 17 (20:54):
Okay, maybe he doesn't have one. I mean he's a sultan.
He probably owns a bank that can issue him a car.
But James Bond has got on and you can see
it get declined when he tries to use it.
Speaker 9 (21:02):
In the movie Quantum of Solace, I'm sorry, but this
doesn't work.
Speaker 7 (21:06):
Do you have another account?
Speaker 17 (21:09):
But it seems the original rumor actually started a lot
earlier than the nineties. There are references to a small
group of AMEX cardholders having some kind of exclusive invite
only card as far back as nineteen eighty eight, but
that card was then abandoned since the Platinum card came
out and many of the benefits were similar. But these
rumors probably continued circulating during the nineties, and Jerry was
(21:31):
perhaps the person who tit the scales and made it happen.
Speaker 9 (21:34):
Of course, American Express plays this fact down.
Speaker 17 (21:37):
In a statement to the Points guy, they said, we
cannot attribute the existence of the American Express Centurion card
to just one card member, as we take a great
deal of customer insights and feedback into account when we
develop our card products, benefits and services. Look, all right, guys,
that is the story of how Jerry Seinfeld created the
AMEX Black card.
Speaker 6 (21:58):
All right, the black card, the only black car. Use
he's a black hole.
Speaker 8 (22:04):
You gotta get as a praise, even praise, praise, praise.
I never leave home without my black cards and hive
that big sis. Yeah, what a great day Rasy was
black app I gotta go to high school football Friday,
that latch when they played the game on Saturday. I
love high football. That's where it all starts. The defending
(22:26):
national champions two times for the Japan Modern Day Monacks,
the Pride, the Boys added the Gloria.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
They went to Florida. So I've got the six times
Florida State champin same time.
Speaker 8 (22:40):
As the Planets to the Raiders, I'm telling them, manus
and I'm going for a twenty six twenty three big green.
It was twenty sixty three and a half time and
the assistant said, wait a minute, are we all have
a fucking mind? Modern Day was name with one one
hundred and sixty yards of pulties the same time as
the Planets only had twenty five yards offenilities.
Speaker 6 (23:01):
One hundred seaton. You have to count it.
Speaker 8 (23:02):
That's like playing four games. But they try to get
the Florida go the guys. Guys that get into it
lost fair end of the war. I want to tell
you a high school football amazing teams playing acros the country.
I was talking to Park Tennis of cal High Sport's
been doing kay cork about forty years now and he
covers high school football from Seed the Hunt. You see,
(23:24):
it's bestating in California, and he talks about how these
big super programs can build up recruit after recruit after recruit.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
But they's been doing it a long time.
Speaker 8 (23:35):
And in fact, they had coach Rob coach larn he
used to coach a long beach Poli and he was
asking about his thoughts of the game after it was over,
and he said, well, I want to get praise to
him the good boys from Saint Thomas a quietas that
they played hard, but he didn't mention anything about the
officials and how they tried to rock model day of
a football game.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
That's my story. I'm thinking with it and I hate
seeing that.
Speaker 8 (23:58):
In the high school football game, and you it just
showed the class a raw. Laura who played actually Coast
at loan Be's Folly before taking the job at Modern
Day Poucet Wallins and they've been at the helm of
Modern Day for Freunion forty years and this is a
great football program. Modern Day at Santa Anna, they were
pre season number one. They two done Infinity Basis the
(24:20):
champions and they've won Slash National un champions in the
last eight years and the time that they did not
win a national champions and they lost the game to
the Saint John Bosco.
Speaker 6 (24:30):
Bell Flower their own league Rivel.
Speaker 8 (24:32):
And there was the year that bisms Gorman got involved
and they were the Nevada state champion and they ever
cried national champion. But last time Modern Day played Bisis
Gruman it was thirty one to fifteen. Modern Day they
play again this year in Las Vegas. And in the
fact game played again a couple of years ago.
Speaker 6 (24:49):
He was twenty four.
Speaker 8 (24:50):
They went moveern Day two day programs. But I love
high fual football and in Florida the same time as
the Planets. You got to get them credit. They did
fight back, but the health of associating like personal foul
after the person of five the person of foul by Dona.
They had two deceptions every fumbled let me turning and
give it same Commas the ball back on a fourth
end and for Modern Day stop same Thomas fine as
(25:12):
they call first down and a personal foul which put
them down the side of the red zone. But that's
high school football. You just don't want to see it
at that level. But you want to get full deeps
and praise because they took them off the challenge. But
modern day at monter mean Li is like a junior
in college high school football team. They're They're offensive line
is big in BC's they look like six fives together
(25:34):
found high schoolers. That's amazing for high school level. And
their defensive line is similar. They have two great ride
receivers that are just amazing. Look back, they say, be
playing college football right now. I've seen football for many,
many years, and these kids at modern day, they're a
different level. They have to have more defense, more defensive
discipline on defense. But there's something about this player Chris
(25:59):
Henry junior. He's gonna go to Ohiose stage about sixty
five hundred founder even think he's Grandy Moss when you're
watching play and they have another great you see I
recalled gavinue r Reeve.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
He's going to Georgia and the other he's.
Speaker 8 (26:17):
Sixty two about two hundred pounds and they're just selling
the quarterback round.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
Hopcas didn't have the best game.
Speaker 8 (26:23):
We only ate him twenty interception, a couple of sacks
when he's going to Wisconsin.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
Didn't have his best game.
Speaker 8 (26:30):
A lot of humility back in Florida also, but Matters
Day was up twenty six seven in the and then
like a right name is crew up? In fact, the
game was Grainger Laid also, but congratulations modern day Monarchs.
Speaker 6 (26:42):
This team is so talented.
Speaker 8 (26:44):
But they played the toughest schedule also, and I wasn't
the method at the best doing Ford same time as
Granders going one host boy and Anderson Lauderdale Lakes, Florida
next week, while Model Davis one and over Transhumi. The
hosts basically my family are towns California and also some
a big team from California or Movement one over Miami
Northwestern seventeen fourteen, and then Saint Thomas Planets set out
(27:07):
Vanity of Florida, another state power. It was thirty one numbers.
So right now California, three Florida and nothing. When people say,
oh California, they didn't play football like they do. Was
the south Well, California school are undefeated versus the Florida
state champions Dead Dex. We have Taylor Salath confer California.
They will take on Lakeland of Lakeland, Florida, and that
(27:31):
would be here in California. In confer California. If Daylands
that wins that they should, that'll be a sweep by
California off fan that wild worked. I do appreciate so
many great things. It was another great game in Northern California.
The defending Black teams second champions both for Bulldog fifty
one thirteen over Branch the Pacers to defending Division to
(27:51):
state champions. And there's a lot of good football in California.
Mason Vieho Southern California. They leave Sanna Barga give us
seven to three, Bob Gotson's first game as a as
a coach, and I feel Miss Bal's gonna be much
better improved. They better be now Fourthom, they've done this before.
(28:13):
They beat Love's probably lastly the Safety three to twenty
to go with the season, and then they lost to
Sarah San Mateo Tacks when they won fourteen. So now
they play Sarah st Mateo again and this time the
game I believe is at Fulham and then Fullthom plays
the way they played against Grant still win that game
forty one to twenty. Now Erian competition seems to be
(28:37):
a little bit tougher than sac Cocket Section. I'm just
saying when fourthim has blown out Union every team and
the second Move Second cocketing Section.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
They're lost US.
Speaker 8 (28:46):
Over the last couple of years, they've lost the Dayla
Sala Bay Area still Section, they lost the Sarah Septeo
Cysical Section, and.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
They pleay Pittsburgh and they lost to Pittsburgh.
Speaker 8 (29:00):
I believe it's twenty eight twenty six last year or
twenty eight twenty seven, another North Coast Section program. So
when Folsom was lost, they're not losing their teams in Sacramento.
They're losing the Bay Area school for no matter what
the scoreer looked like. We'll see what happened when they
played Sarah Semtio and Sarah's been the North Caline champion
two of the last four years, and we'll see what happens.
(29:22):
But obviously day La sal sins about nineteen eighty eight,
they've been the number one team in Northern California, no
matter who plays who. When they matched in the field
of I remember Mercaid State champions in nineteen ninety they
had a twenty eight game wins streak and they had
beaten Bay Area power Saint Francis AB after U fifteen
to twenty one. Also beaten some other great programs, whether
(29:43):
els Arito thirty four to six and beat Bellabine of
San Jose, and they've beaten them soundly as well. But
the year after they won that state championship, they hosted
day Lasal at First Daid College in front up about
eight thousand fans and the stadium wo seven thousand and
then as I won that game, it was thirty five
(30:04):
to twenty one. That was a bit of money toomer
back in the day and the empty Baltimore at First Set.
I wanted toomen played at Dayla South, wanted to play
in Michigan in the New York Giants. But high school
football in California is as big as you get. All
the talk about Texas plays the best high school football,
know they don't because if you look at Allen High
School of Texas with their twenty thousands East Stadium Qualty
(30:24):
billion dollars stadium, they host the same John Moscow Gullflower.
I want to say two years ago it was Saint
John Bosco forty five I think in part I think
it was forty five to fourteen or fifty two fourteen.
I think fifty two to fourteen. Save John Bosco one
Duncan Hill High School of Texas, right from the top
ten in the country, the two out of the last
(30:46):
three Texas large school champions.
Speaker 6 (30:49):
Modern Day went back there and beat them two years ago.
It was forty five to three.
Speaker 8 (30:53):
If he's a Texas state champion high school football program,
and you saw just over the weekend, Modern Day beat
six times Florida state champion Sat tom As Apprentice twenty
six to twenty three. But it was twenty three to
six at a half time, and a lot of Snantega's
happened with officiating. One hundred and sixty yards of penalties
against Modern Day. That's not right, not at any level,
(31:15):
especially high school. It was a penility at the pility,
at the pility at the pility, and both the person
of files for a Timson and whatever they called it.
But no face pass, no rough in the pass, and
this is a lot of garbage calls, and I don't
like that. But that game model, they was on their
way to about a forty five to fourteen victory, but
(31:36):
the officials tried to get it closer and they did
a good job doing it.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
But I don't like that.
Speaker 8 (31:39):
I when they look into the officiating in that game
if that makes his team and then warns due to
another team out of the Trinity League. They beat Mina Northwestern,
another Florida power beat them seventeen thirteen. And then, as
I mentioned, Saint Thomas appointis a star studied program in
Florida against the Califounia's best team. They don't match up,
(32:03):
and then it was a manage. Actually another state.
Speaker 6 (32:04):
Of power in Florida.
Speaker 8 (32:05):
They were shot out at home by Saint John Bascall
Belt at thirty one nothing. So all I talk about
who played the best football from Cedar Sidney and see,
you gotta look at Southern California. They even knocked off
Northern California every year and Daylasal kind of wins through
one hundred and fifty one games, and that held up
strong and Kelley started playing Southern Galaxia competition. So no
(32:28):
matter what you think about football, Southern California plays the
best football in the country modern day. And Saint John
Basca they beat everybody they knocked about. The Saint Francis
of the d MB, the top school in the East
Coast out of DEAC. I think it's College Distic of
Columbia and Maryland Virginia. Well Modern Day beat them down
pretty sadly. Two years of the Road and Saint John
(32:50):
bascall Offer beat the Miami Central also got beaten by
Saint John Bosto thirty one to ten several years ago.
I am did he was beaten by bout a Day
twenty four to twenty one after their forty game wins break.
Speaker 6 (33:04):
So those teams come up the California then they've lost.
Speaker 8 (33:08):
Every game except same Thomas the Finals beat Dennis sala
A couple of years ago twenty four or fourteen and
Austraando Or. It's high school football, but I've seen football
for many many moves, and the best high school football
is played in California. I don't know why the back
ten went away or the back throw went away to
play where high school programs are less talented than California.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
It's amazing. While USC the Trojans under Lake and.
Speaker 8 (33:32):
Rodney can't keep the top kids from California to go
play for the Trojans, and they're leaving for the Midwest,
and they're leaving for the South, and they're leaving for
the East.
Speaker 6 (33:40):
Doesn't make any sense, but that's the way the ball
bounces and that's the way the ball bounces. I'm gonna
think it was called the Big s.
Speaker 8 (33:47):
Paul holding on as the Big Seams. I'm out, I'll
be back. I can't get them up.
Speaker 12 (34:00):
Head coach and former NFL QB Carson Palmer makes his
debut for Santa Margarita as they host one of So
Cow's most dominant programs in Mission BA. Coach is coming

Speaker 2 (34:30):
No?
Speaker 21 (34:30):
But with the Old Spice NFL collection? Can you smell
like you play in the NFL? Yes, I'm the coach.
Now Old Spice makes you smell powerful enough to throw
a touchdown around the planet and back to yourself. Except
now the ball is signed by you and it's worth
a b jillion dollars time out.
Speaker 7 (34:46):
Listen, is that the smell of other men wearing your
name on their backs charge you get all?
Speaker 6 (34:50):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (34:52):
Touchdown? Now you smell like a football man.
Speaker 10 (34:59):
Reparations has been here and have been working on for generations.
Speaker 7 (35:02):
From the very beginning, people were knocking on the door saying,
we are old for our labor.
Speaker 9 (35:10):
Callie House, she was born a slave.
Speaker 22 (35:13):
She went out all around in the community telling black
people that they ought asked the government to get somebody
because they were poor and they were desperate.
Speaker 9 (35:23):
By nineteen hundred, she had three hundred thousand.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
Dues paying members.
Speaker 22 (35:28):
It was the largest organization of black folk that had existed.
Pretty soon her activities came to the attention of the
government and they convicted her a fraud. The federal charge
was that, at a time when you should have known
that the federal government would have never give negroes anything,
(35:51):
why were you telling negroes they should organize to try
to get something. They sent her to prison to serve
one year. She got out of prison, she went back
to Dashville to the Shotgun House. She got ut in
the cancer and she died.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
You can draw a.

Black women made history again, and diversity was front.
Speaker 9 (36:52):
And centered on the world State.
Speaker 14 (36:57):
Did you see it the long lines that in places
around the country as we voted, like our lives depended.
Speaker 9 (37:04):
On Did you see it the way we put culture
and community first.
Speaker 6 (37:14):
Did you see it the.
Speaker 22 (37:15):
Way black culture continued to fuel our entertainment and unity?
Speaker 6 (37:21):
Did you see do you see it to your advocacy.
Speaker 24 (37:26):
Agitation, and resistance to protect our communities and the progress
made over the past one hundred and sixteen years.
Speaker 9 (37:34):
Do you see it classrooms that.
Speaker 24 (37:36):
Include black history as American history because it is. Do
you see the continued growth of black businesses that close
the walk gap and build.
Speaker 6 (37:46):
Generational wealth, more inclusion. That's the vision people over party
love above eight. Do you see it?
Speaker 2 (38:01):
Question?
Speaker 6 (38:03):
We have a vision to advance.
Speaker 24 (38:05):
Our opportunities, our impact, our legacies. We just need you
visit NAACP dot org and add your voice.
Speaker 7 (38:15):
To the vision.
Speaker 6 (38:23):
All right, went back from the Big Sea ball.
Speaker 8 (38:25):
Also know that the Big Seed time out the only
card accepted if you're black. Oh, the American is best
black card. You're following Big Sea Sports. I'm gonna tell
you I love what I do with Big Sea Sports,
but I also want to make sure I let you
hear summercasts for other sports shoes in the universe are
also talking about when it comes to college sports.
Speaker 6 (38:46):
That's my story. I'm to get rid of it. Here
you go, the good old boys.
Speaker 25 (38:55):
And maybe it's just the fact that you know, Stafford's
not that good and not that talented on the offense,
but the way that the defensive line was able to
get after Stanford's quarterback, I mean, truly, it was almost
it was almost like offense.
Speaker 7 (39:07):
A lot of Stanford didn't have a chance, whether it
was the left end or the right end, or the
free technique, go to one technique.
Speaker 25 (39:13):
They just kept applying pressure and that's really what kept
that game close up until the very end, when you know,
Hawaii knocks through the field goal to win the game.
So another fantastic matchup that we did see there in
Week zero. But again, watch out for Hawaii as they
played throughout the rest of their season, and then also
watch out for Stanford in the ACC. This is a
team to look if they figure it out. And Rees
(39:35):
Davis said this last year, and I always thought it
was great. You know, there's no rule against improving. And grant,
Stanford did lose this game about three points, but who's
to say they improved weekend week out until they get
in the ACC play.
Speaker 18 (39:47):
Now for Hawaii, they are going to go on the
road to Arizona. What an opportunity for them. And we
don't know what Arizona is right now, but we don't
have the highest expectations for them in the Big Twelve.
And then look, maybe they prove us wrong because they've
got you know, they've got some certain players there that
took a step back last year. Maybe they can get
(40:08):
right back to where they were two years ago. But
if you're Hawaii and you beat an ACC team and
a Big Twelve team to start your season, look out.
Who's just saying Hawaii can't find their way into the conversation? Absolutely,
and they're going to play some other big teams on
the schedule.
Speaker 25 (40:23):
They still have Fresno State, I'm looking at the schedule now,
actually no Boise State in the actual Conference Mount West play,
So that could be a.
Speaker 7 (40:30):
Positive for them.
Speaker 25 (40:31):
Maybe they meet them there at the conference championship if
they continue to play good. But I'm telling you, if
they played the defense the way that they played this
past weekend, not only will they win a lot of games,
I think they have a good chance of potentially beating
a big twelve flow here.
Speaker 7 (40:44):
Now, Look, I do think Arizona will be better. They
had a tough year.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
You know, they had a tough year.
Speaker 25 (40:48):
They do lose one of their top receivers in the
NFL Draft, and no if Aafida, he's still there. And
they do bring back Chris Hunter at receiver and then
maybe two or three new additions from the Trash reportal
on the defense.
Speaker 7 (40:59):
So as tough as the season was with them, hopefully.
Speaker 25 (41:02):
They learned a lot from it year number two under
Bent Brennan and they could play some better football.
Speaker 7 (41:07):
They're gonna have to because Hawaii is going to have
a lot of momentum going into that matchup.
Speaker 18 (41:13):
I agree with you, man, and having the opportunity to
play that game kind of knocked the Russ off and
to be able to have the momentum, I don't care.
I don't care what Stanford is in the ACC. They're
ACC and that means something to Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors.
They are going to have a lot of momentum as
they travel to Arizona. All Right, we will step away
(41:34):
and when we come back, as I mentioned earlier, I
got Eric MacLaine. Enak joins us here to break down
his new show he's got with our guy Aaron Murray.
Speaker 2 (41:44):
And also it is game week, it is lsu Clempson,
So I'm sure Enach's been.
Speaker 7 (41:49):
Waiting multiple weeks to be able.
Speaker 18 (41:51):

that for you when we come back on Channel eighty

Speaker 2 (41:57):

Speaker 8 (41:58):
War State has to change what last year and the
only way to do that is to get off to
a better start this year.
Speaker 18 (42:03):
Tommy Castellanos has to be a top five quarterback in
this league for Florida State to get close to what
they want to be. Castellanos becomes a variable in the
volatility of Florida State Upper Now he's me variable now.
Speaker 7 (42:15):
A lot of it's because of the position he has
taken in at Florida State. Locker of Chief smack.

With swish funding, you can expand inventory, upgrade equipment, and
boost your cash flow.
Speaker 21 (43:37):

it eight hundred sevens two eight sixty four.
Speaker 8 (45:27):
Eight hundred and seven seven two eight six two four
eight hundred seven seven two eighty six twenty.
Speaker 6 (45:33):
Four in tell on big C six.
Speaker 25 (45:35):
Yet I'm leaped w you can't talk, so you now
let's start. And I know you said let's move forward,
but I do think it's worth addressing here. Stanford, who
was an underdog, go and play Hawaii. Not a clean
game really by either team, but Hawaii finds a way
to win. And the way I want to see this
(45:55):
you're not, and I'm curious how you feel about it
is now Stanford technically play spoil any team in the
ACC as they go through this thing, in the sense
of if you lose to Stanford, you know, now people
going to say, oh, well, Stanford also lost to Hawaii
and it ends up hurting a lot of resumes. I mean,
how important do you think it is for the rest
of the teams that play these non conference games within
the ACC to get.
Speaker 7 (46:15):
Off to a good start, not only just win, but
also play some good football this weekend.
Speaker 14 (46:20):
Yeah, a couple couple of things to address with big
I think I came on the show last week and
we talked about it, and I said, how embarrassing it
was in an ACC team, and that would be Stanford
is an underdog to Hawaii. Now shout out to you guys,
because apparently you have a handful of Hawaii listeners, which
is sick. And they reached out to me and said, uh,
I don't know what I'm talking about, and da da
(46:41):
da da da, and then they want to follow up
in my mentions and all this things.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
Was that embarrassing? Was that's so embarrassing?
Speaker 14 (46:47):
And guess what the answer is, Yes.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
It was embarrassing that they lost to you. That's the
whole point of what I said.
Speaker 14 (46:53):
And so yeah, shout out to Stanford for starting our
conference oh and one and oh and one against the
five schools.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
That's super sick. I'm very excited about it.
Speaker 14 (47:03):
But yeah, it's one of those things, bro, where you've
got to take advantage, right, Like these teams that are
playing Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Notre or Notre Dames, playing
Miami North Carolina, they have to make it happen FSUs
that they have to compete, they have to get the dub.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
And that just puts you in such a better place,
right Like when.
Speaker 14 (47:26):
I come on the show next Monday, if Clemson and
Miami have won, there is so much more excitement, so
much more ground to cover, pedestal to stand on, whatever
you want to call it, for the ACC and for
us on the ACC network and the huddle and all
these different things. So it is paramount. And guys, honestly,
(47:48):
if we go back and we listen to however long
I've been doing this with you, guys the last three
years of EMACS reaction or EMACS excitement, for week one,
I probably have said, what an opportunity for the ACC,
what an opportunity for you? And then the next week
it's like I didn't have a line, dang it, So
can they do it?
Speaker 2 (48:05):
Now? Is going to be the fascinating thing to watch. Yeah, look,
there's gonna be multiple opportunities.
Speaker 18 (48:12):
And look, I know we'll get the Clemson LSU obviously
with it being game week and both of us going
to be there. I cannot wait to see Memorial Stadium.
Speaker 2 (48:20):
Gonna be my first time.
Speaker 18 (48:21):
But I was talking about eMac Syracuse and Tennessee and
what an opportunity for Syracuse. Now, their schedule might be
the most difficult in the country. It really might be,
but they're facing off against an SEC school. It's in
a neutral side game. But we know Tennessee's going to
have the crowd certainly there Mercedes Benz Stadium, and look,
Tennessee's got some flalls. Now, I think Tennessee's got some
(48:44):
good players, don't get me wrong, but they've got some
places where they don't quite know how it's going to
work out for them. And Syracuse has a real opportunity,
like for the ACC. Like, I don't even care where
Tennessee ends up at the end of the season. If
Syracuse and fran Brown go down to SEC country of
Georgia where they played the SEC championship game in the
same stadium and they're victorious, that could be monumental for
(49:06):
the ACC.
Speaker 14 (49:08):
Oh man, it'll be huge. Yeah, I think you know
some of the things that you said right there. What
do we know about Tenessee? We know or we think
we know that the defense is gonna be really good,
right they have pieces. I love their defensive coordinator. They've
kind of built that identity there, and they have a
handful of guys back at least a handful of guys
that have all the guys that have been in the
program know how it looks, things of that nature.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
On the offensive side of the ball, Who the heck
are they going to be? I mean, I just I
have no clue.
Speaker 14 (49:34):
I mean, last year Nico showed some flashes, but I
don't think anybody would like head over heels with how
he performed. Now, certainly you probably wish you had him
still in the growth and the natural you know, things
that you would see from him going into another year
as a starter.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
But I think the biggest concern is the offense.
Speaker 14 (49:52):
Last year was a majority of running the football, and
that running back ain't there.
Speaker 2 (49:56):
He's in the NFL, and so what is this going
to look like?
Speaker 14 (49:59):
Your quarterb that starting for you was not there In
the spring, He's got super limited reps, you know, a
fall camp to essentially get up to speed on how
do we do it?
Speaker 2 (50:08):
What do we do? Who are my guys? All right,
let's go play.
Speaker 14 (50:11):
And you know this Syracuse team, it would be one
thing if you know this was a couple of years
ago and you know Syracuse couldn't push the ball downfield
super effectively.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
They're gonna toss it. These guys are going to throw
it a ton.
Speaker 14 (50:24):
I think they feel really good about in Jelly coming
in from Notre Dame, what we saw from him in
the college football playoffs when he was kind of forced
into action there. I love their wide receiver Corn. I
think they're going to test this team. So when you
have a team that can throw it and will throw
it as much as they I think are going to,
you're never out of a game. It only gets out
of reach or things get weird when you can't pass
(50:45):
the ball. And so I think this number thirteen and
a half. If you're listening and you're you dabbling this,
I would hammer that that Syracuse covers that. I think
that's a big number.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
He Clipson's death Freaking Valley Biggie.
Speaker 25 (50:58):
Now, I'm gonna say this right now now from what
I looked at when I look at the tape with
Clemson from last year.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
I think kid's gonna say, look, don't make me take
my belt off, Garrett Nutmeyer, don't maybe go out here
and have to spank you guys.
Speaker 25 (51:10):
LSU Tigers eMac talked to us, man, what's the expectation
from the Clemson Tigers.
Speaker 7 (51:14):
Going into this huge matchup?
Speaker 3 (51:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (51:17):
Man, we're excited a for the opportunity to have, you know,
a great team like LSU come to town.
Speaker 2 (51:22):
No no, no, no, no no no for everyone. Uh
talk your stuffy Matt come on baby, and with that
ass on ab so everybody can see that's what we want.
Speaker 14 (51:36):
That's what we want.
Speaker 2 (51:37):
And here's the deal. Look to me and Dave, we're
gonna talk about this tomorrow. Jake, I'm supers. I hope
I'm talking out of it right here.
Speaker 14 (51:44):
But you know, when I look at the line of
scrimmage specifically, I just give Clemson all the advantage.
Speaker 15 (51:51):
Man.
Speaker 14 (51:51):
I mean, you've got an offensive line for LSU that's
totally retold. Like I think there's a piece on there
that played a little bit last year, played a lot
last year, but wasn't the key guy and everybody else's
brand News you've got arguably the best defensive line in
college football, two first round picks and maybe some more
behind them. They're just not old enough to get drafted yet.
Those and LUs you're gonna throw it what forty forty
(52:13):
five times in the game.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
We all know how that works. If a defense knows what.
Speaker 14 (52:18):
You're doing, they're gonna pin their ears back and they're
coming and they're gonna hunt. And it's not only gonna
be games, it's gonna be exotic blitzes. Coach, you know
Tom Allen here, the things that he's going to bring
to the table. I just think it has the real
potential to be a really long night for number eighteen,
which shout out for the.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
Number for nuts.
Speaker 14 (52:36):
That's super awesome and I'm excited to talk to you
more about that Jake tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (52:39):
But it's just I don't know if he's going to
have time to do what he wants to do.
Speaker 14 (52:44):
I don't know if it will quite be the Florida
game from a year ago where he got sacked seven times,
but it might be similar.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
It might be close.
Speaker 14 (52:51):
And then you know, offensively for Clemson, clearly they have
to worry about the linebackers.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
I think those guys are really special. But you know,
how can that receiver or attack this secondary.
Speaker 14 (53:02):
Who again good and we know, you know, I got
cornerback that transferred from Virginia Tech.
Speaker 2 (53:07):
How can they attack that?
Speaker 14 (53:09):
And how can Kave keep Lsu on their toes with
his running ability where you have to play eleven on
eleven and if you don't, if you play two man,
that's what he's gone. And we've seen him do that
time and time again and take over games with his legs.
So I don't I'm not gonna sit here and say
it's a blowout, but I think four points it might
be a little bit more.
Speaker 6 (53:27):
Than that.
Speaker 18 (53:29):
If Matt kind of want to look at this matchup obviously,
like Kate Clutton with his arm and you mentioned it
there right, you got to be careful with his legs
as well. Lsu really struggled against running quarterbacks a year ago,
and that would be cause for concern there. Like I
wonder how much design quarterback run that Clemson's going to
have in the game plan, because look, it's a part
of what they do. Like I just went back and
(53:49):
watched the Appalachian State game from a year ago and
it's Q calender and there is like no hiding k
clubn like he is running right through the defense. But
like in a Week one matchup against the look a
physical defense. Have you mentioned it like with Weeks is
an All American linebacker? You got Harrol Perkins there? Like
do you think they're going to from the very gig
go have all the Q runs up?
Speaker 2 (54:11):
You know?
Speaker 14 (54:11):
I think it's one of those things. And e J
has said this for as long as I can remember.
My quarterback Taj Boyd and Deshaun Watson say this as.
Speaker 2 (54:20):
Anytime you ask them. Mobile quarterbacks want to run early
and they want to get into the game. They want
to feel that hit. Now if you don't want anybody
knocked out, but they want to feel.
Speaker 14 (54:29):
That and kind of get acclimated to the physicality.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
Now, am I going to run a play where it's
you know.
Speaker 8 (54:38):
Back we're back from the SEC and the ACC talk
LSU playing the good of boys, Simpson Tigers, Tiger's playing
all start. I gotta tell you Bixi's thoughts at LSU
underrated to mean a lot of things, But I think
as far as went into Nasado Championship, the Tigers personally
(54:59):
unders you're the preseason number nineteen the roster and back
and Ruse Louisiana is noted to following him back to
back up top nine classes with the addition of the
nation's number one overall portal.
Speaker 6 (55:11):
LSU has a quarterback, a.
Speaker 8 (55:13):
High local, and Garrett Desmard the top end skill talent,
enough all conference caliber defensive players to make a big
push at an SEC championship and then playoff berth and
a run for a NATIONALK championship. I don't think they'll
get to the Databut Championship, but I'll be done.
Speaker 6 (55:29):
Sure they'll be in the top two or three.
Speaker 8 (55:31):
Teams in the SEC, and I see them knocking up
Clempson when Climpton plays LSU, because we are a family.
That's mos third. I'm takular with it now. The Tigers,
they've always played great. They're a physical, fast team and
Crimson's big, physical, fast two. But unlike LSU, Climpson's not
battle of champs every week. The way you are in
(55:52):
the SEC, when you're playing Alabama, where you're playing of Florida,
you're playing at Georgia, You're off of playing schools like Auburn,
and then you got Tennessee's in the Arkansas in the
Old Mids of the world, and then there's Texas, and
then there's Texas A and m. If you're Clemson, you're
looking at beating Miami, beaten Florida State, and maybe Syracuse.
(56:14):
Cow might give you a game if you're on the
West coast, but it's not the same level of competition.
Speaker 6 (56:19):
Now.
Speaker 8 (56:19):
Clempson's a good team with a DABBLISHMNI, but LSU has
a better quarterback, they have better defensive line play. The
home team, the crowd might be a favor when they
touched the Rock and Clemson, but in my the l
S's is the better team.
Speaker 6 (56:33):
They've done it before and they'll do it again.
Speaker 8 (56:36):
I want to take what's called the Big Sea Cars
also known as the Big Sea come out first and
the ACC network.
Speaker 6 (56:44):
Get the black Hole. You got to get the black
hope with Big C Sports the only card accepted.
Speaker 8 (56:49):
Get the black Holes. The American the best black card.
I'll be back at this the moment.
Speaker 6 (57:03):
Oh, these katies are fire, Kad you work here.
Speaker 7 (57:08):
I think I pieroed out of magic smoke because I
working nine to five.
Speaker 6 (57:11):
Knock still be two up one right whatever? No no speak.
Speaker 9 (57:20):
So you really think you can output me. Hmm, that's cute.
Speaker 6 (57:32):
You know I can go pro and these bro. You
ain't even know that I could guard your air round
you up, well, not anymore, because.
Speaker 2 (57:43):
I was looking for a quarterback.
Speaker 9 (57:47):
About you retired Billy needs please, you're right, Billy, he
just do.
Speaker 8 (57:54):
Bring on my eyes, every shoe for every athlete, only
adds Dick, says the goat.
Speaker 26 (58:03):

moment we enter our happy place. As long as elephants still.
Speaker 6 (58:23):

that makes this.
Speaker 6 (59:05):

diamonds and pearls, cars, airplanes, boats, They do a lot
of things with the refuse protect their assets, which is
crazy because of more than a nightmare they brought by
the government, the state recovery program called probate.
Speaker 6 (01:06:00):
It takes a trust.
