(00:16):
Hey, everybody, can you hearme? Okay, give me your thumbs
up if you can hear me.And for those of you who are in
a position to turn your cameras on, please turn them on. If you're
not, I totally understand. It'sjust easier to teach to faces that I
can see. Okay, thank youfor the thumbs up. I appreciate that.
(00:41):
Yeah, if you can turn yourcamera on, that is great.
If you're at work, I getit. Okay, I got good audio.
I'm gonna do a my check tomake sure I can hear you all.
So let's I'm gonna unmute someone.I'm gonna ask for someone to unmute
(01:02):
and just talk back to me tomake sure I can hear Hey, Ashley,
Hello, everyone, can you hearme? No, I don't have
audio, so hold on. It'snot you. I think it's me.
I think my microphone playback's not working. Okay, hold please seem all right?
(01:49):
Can you say something so I canmake sure I can hear microphone?
Check one to one too, Okay, now all right, let me switch
my headphones. Hold on, Yeah, I can see I can I see
that, y'all can hear me?My other MINC's just been looking. Please
switch really quick. Okay, allright, I think I got you.
(02:42):
Can you might check one two onemore time for me? Please? Oh
hold on, I might have todo that on new thing. Okay,
can you hear me now? Yes, I got you one of those.
Thank you? Okay. So forthose of you that can turn your cameras
(03:12):
on, I totally appreciate it.How many of you this is the first
time actually seeing me talk to youas a person and not seeing me on
Instagram or TikTok or somewhere else otherthan teacher training. Is this your first
go round in a live class withme? Yes, okay, I'm still
(03:37):
so m So let me be thefirst to say welcome to the ship show.
I want to get that out ofthe way now because there's a lot
that goes on around here. Thereare twenty of you in here right now,
so this is your first time meetingme and quasi person. Let's say
I'm a real regular, regular person. For those of you who have been
(04:01):
around for a while, y'all knowthe speech that I'm gonna give. So
even though I've trained yoga teachers thatI think we're at almost five thousand folks
that have come through the program. At this point, I am just a
basic bitch trying to get tacos onthe Tuesday like everybody else. I have
a blended family now, so Ihave four kids. They are in this
(04:27):
order fourteen, thirteen, twelve, and ten. That's why this is the
shit show. Okay, right,So the children, and I'm saying this
now as we get started, donot care that I do this for a
living. I happen to not havethem at the moment. This weekend they
are off doing other things. Butthere will be weekends where there are around.
(04:50):
One of them is gonna knock onthe door and ask for something.
That's just how it goes. SoI want to warn you in advance that
I am also someone's so that willhappen. But I welcome any questions that
you may have regarding training. We'regoing to go over a few basics.
I did it in our previous meeting, but since we only meet once a
(05:13):
month now, I feel like it'sworth it to do live because not everyone
was able to attend in the previousmeeting. So number one's previous recordings,
I am going to go back andre record the geete lesson because we had
audio problems and it's not as clearas I wanted it to be when I
taught it live. Now the lessonis already in the online portal, so
(05:40):
if you want to watch it livenow, you can before I get a
new recording up. But I wantedto try and give you a lot,
excuse me, a cleaner recording thanwhat we got that day when we did
it together. It just happens tobe noisy where I was recording apps.
And that's one too. I happento swear when I teach, it's going
to happen. So if you havelittle people in your general vicinity, please
(06:03):
warn me beforehand. I do notwant to be the person that introduces your
child to the F word. Iwill tell you that I try mine my
mouth, but every once in awhile it happens, because sometimes it's just
a fense. So if it offendsanyone, I apologize in advance. But
(06:24):
one of the things that I definitelydo around here and lean heavy into is
being my full self when I teach. My hope is that that inadvertently gives
everyone else permission to be their fullselves when they teach. There are so
many spaces that we are asked toassimilate. When you look like a there
(06:44):
are so many spaces that you don'tget to show up as your full self.
And I absolutely refuse to have thething that I built and put my
bloodspoot, tears and trauma and dramainto to be another space that I can
be anything other than me. Isthat fair? Does that feel good to
everybody? If not, let meknow, like for real, in the
comments and we'll in the chat andwe'll talk about it. But I want
(07:04):
this to be an open, connectedcommunity space as much as possible, where
like we can rock together and justbe real. Okay, other things,
just makeup. You see on myface right now. Number one, the
lipstick is a rich aunty By lipbar. It's a vibe. Everybody should
try it. It is black owned. I feel like I should shout that
out. And it's from Target,So there's that. Number two, This
(07:27):
don't happen often. This is notmy regular go to. I just felt
like I'll deserve lipstick this week.So here we are. Anyway. Other
things regarding training, let's talk homeworkfirst off, And this is a question
I get often. Is this apast fail? No, No one is
going to fail. What we aregoing to do is work until we get
(07:51):
it right. Is that fair toeveryone? So if you're stressed, if
you're like, oh my gosh, this is a lot of work, it
is a lot of work. I'mnot gonna sugarcoat it reason like it's not.
It's a lot of work. Butmy job is to help you to
be as successful as possible in theprogram. Okay. So with that comes
if you send me videos that areless than what I require, and I
(08:16):
reject it and send it back toyou and say go fix it, I
just want you to fix it.That's it. I just want you to
meet the requirements that I've given forthe homework. That's all. If you
send me videos where I don't feellike your queuing is as clean as it
could be because your class may leadto confusion within your class, I'll send
it back, we'll have a chatabout it, we'll fix it. That's
(08:39):
it. Okay, So please donot be stressed about like, oh my
gosh, there's all this work andthere's all this stuff to do. There
is a lot of stuff to doto got time, all right. Then
the other part of it is everyoneeveryone has a year to turn in the
homework from the date that we startedin twenty to twenty four. Okay,
(09:01):
you have an entire year to turneverything in. So by February twenty twenty
five, let's take February first, even though technically I believe this year we
started on the sense, but let'skeep it easy. Remember Black History Month
is your barometer for getting this done. Okay, So by February first,
you need to think that I needto have all fifteen hours fifteen hours of
(09:28):
my videos recorded and turned in.Okay, it's fifteen hours. Now,
I want to put that in contextof your teaching journey. Fifteen hours is
the equivalent to two weeks, let'ssay two weeks worth of teaching yoga.
Because she he's an hour you knowhour class. That if you teach an
(09:48):
hour class seven days a week, there's your fifteen hours and the grand scheme
of you teaching class that is aminimal requirement for you to meet. Okay.
The other thing with videos that stressespeople out is, oh my god,
I've never been on camera before. The camera version you see of me
now is not the camera version ofwhere I started. You can see that
(10:09):
in the videos that are in theonline portal for those of you who have
watched them, I look very differentnow, I present very different now.
It's only because of practice. Okay, practice, Yes, we're talking about
practice. For those of you whoare old enough to know that, Alan
iverson reference, I appreciate you forbeing there. I just want to say
that real quick. So it ispractice. So the video that you start
(10:33):
with may not be as good asthe video that you end with, but
that's expected. Okay. I don'texpect you to come out the game unless
you've been teaching already, because that'sthe thing, right, I do not
expect you to come out the gatelike Gangbusters and being the best yoga teacher
in the whole wide world. There'sroom for growth. I've been doing this
(10:54):
from with a decade. Now there'sa room for growth for me. I
saw my lead teacher this time latweekend. I got all my edit snatched
once again. Stuff that I hadthought I knew what I was doing,
Clearly I did not, all right, And it's a decade, and so
remember this is a practice and alearned thing. And this is definitely a
learned skill. Okay, So don'tfreak out about homework the sooner you start,
(11:20):
the easier it is. I'm gonnasay that one more game for the
teep seas. The sooner you start, the easier it is. Okay,
all my OG's on here now, don't wait till the last minute to turning
videos, because if you pop inmy inbox, if you hit me on
the DM, send me a text, I didn't get it done. And
(11:41):
I'm gonna tell you girl, unfortunately, you're gonna have to sign up again
in order to do turning now.The new pricing structure is forty seven dollars
down and forty seven dollars a monthuntil you finish. It just makes it
easier for me, and it makesit easier for you all. If you
want to join and you're in forthree more months and you need an extension,
(12:03):
it solves all of those problems. But what I don't want to do
is put you in a position whereyou're financially shafted, struggling to finish this
training that you had an entire yearto finish. Because that makes sense to
everybody. Okay, I'm here toadvocate for you, and I'm here to
advocate for you even when you arebeing your own worst enemy. Sometimes I'll
(12:26):
knock you on the head and tellyou no and be hard, just because
I know you have the ability toget this done. Okay. Fair.
The other thing regarding getting through thisin general, your practice and your approach,
you have to remember that this isone percent theory and ninety nine percent
(12:50):
practice. I cannot yoga forre you. You absolutely positively have to get on
the mat and do it. Youhave to. I have to get on
my mat every day when I don'tfeel like it, even when I'm tired,
even when you know my back hurtsor whatever whatever said drama may be
in that particular moment. In orderto get through, you have to get
(13:13):
on the mat. Okay. Sowith that being said, there's no way
to intellectualize your way through getting yourhomework done. It's not a thought experience
experiments. Rather and can I geton the mat and practice? And when
should I do it? What shouldI look like? What are my camera
(13:35):
angles? Turn on your camera onyour iPhone or Android or iPhone, if
y'all are part of the beautiful people, whatever, turn it on. Put
your use your rear facing camera becauseit typically for all of our phones,
not just iPhones, it's usually thebetter camera and record yourself teaching. Okay,
(14:01):
what creates a teaching video? Whatmakes the teaching video? It's you
queueing, So right now, metalking to you is me teaching, all
right. If I wanted to teacha full yoga class sitting down for my
chair and not do any of thepostures, that is me teaching. If
I am doing the practice and talkingthe entire time, that is also me
(14:24):
teaching. If I am just doingit, that's just me showing off my
practice. Okay, you have toprovide folks with words and cues in order
to know what to do. Now, do you need a fancy microphone to
do this? No? I usemy these headphones. I happen to have
(14:45):
a set that wraps around the earsas well, so when I when I'm
teaching and moving when I demo postures, and I don't have to worry about
the falling off as much as thesemays. But you don't even have to
go that far. As long asI can hear you, you're solid.
Okay. There is a video thatis in the online portal that provides the
(15:11):
directions of how to turn in yourhomework. But I'm going to go over
it with you for to say forargument's sake. Right now, you are
going to screenshare so you can seeit. You are going to go to
(15:33):
YouTube. You don't, Yes,you are going to go to YouTube.
(15:58):
You are going to ye click create. I have to be logged into our
YouTube channel. You're going to clickcreate. Do you have to have a
YouTube channel? Yes, it makesit easier, so just make one.
Okay. You're going to then clickupload. You will then select a file.
(16:48):
I'm gonna use the phone select afile down. It's like flex.
I just happen to know where thatbutton is that'll be highlighted for you.
Okay, this is my video thatis uploading. It's doing its singing.
(17:11):
Once it uploads, I will clicknext. I usually say no, it
is not for kids. I'll clicknext. I'll add my subtitles or anything
else I want to put in thereif I want to, like next again,
(17:33):
like next again. Now, thisis what everyone needs to check for
your video so it does not showup publicly on YouTube. You're gonna click
unlisted. Then you are going toclick save. Okay, once you have
(17:56):
done those steps, this video linkright here, you will copy that link.
Then you are going to come tothe word document where you typed your
paper and pape that link into yourpaper that you have to turn it.
(18:23):
That is how you would turn inall of your videos. Okay, if
you attempt to upload the videos ontheir own after you have uploaded your assignment,
there is not enough room and thinkefic to upload that, it will
(18:45):
not work. Okay, uh,yes, question, hold on, let
me do on. You go ahead. What's your question? So the link
is going on? Is this thepaper that we're doing on the Buyworkita that
(19:08):
paper? And yes, so youcan put it on your ETA assignment or
you can put it on your yamasand the Yama's assignment. It doesn't matter
which one. It just needs tobe copy and copy and pasted at the
end of the paper. Okay.Yeah, for those of you who are
(19:30):
like you went through too fast throughthe steps, I'm recording this so it's
going to be in the portal. So you'll have two breakdowns of how to
turn this in. One is afree share and one is what I did
just now. Okay, hey doc, how are you? One other question?
So we have to do fifteen hoursof video, so this link will
just be for one of the videos. Right, you can make a playlist
(19:56):
and that's how you're gonna have allthe links together. And when you put
your uh, when you are puttingyour video together, you'll see the option
come up for a playlist. Sojust put them all on the playlist and
send it to me. Okay,if you are tech savvy, when you
are uploading that, do two screensright, open open a screen with my
(20:19):
explanation and open the screen with YouTubeand do it at the same time,
and just follow the steps. Okay. Does that make sense to everyone?
If it doesn't make sense, pleaseplease tell me, like for real,
for real, so if I can'tfix it, if I don't know,
Okay. Regarding the papers, Iwant to go over that real quick.
(20:42):
There is no pass or fail. The only way that you will get your
paper kicks back to me is ifyou give me less than a thousand words
on either effects. If you sendme seven hundred and fifty words, I'm
going to send it back. I'mnot even gonna read it. I'm just
going to send it back. Okay. You're writing about your experience of each
(21:07):
of these books. We're going totalk a little today about the Eightfold Past,
and that includes Yama and Niyama. So we'll talk a bit about that,
and it'll make sense a little bitmore in regards to describing your experience
of those two things. Okay,So again I will say you cannot get
(21:33):
it wrong. The only way youcan get it wrong is if you don't
follow directions. And my ogs.No, I'm a stickler about directions when
it comes to homework assignments because itmakes my job really hard when directions aren't
followed. Okay, other questions. There are two separate papers. So one
(22:03):
is Jamas and Yama's one is theBible by Gisa. All right, okay,
other housekeeping things. Uh, Thebooks are under the syllabus in two
hundred hour. If you are inthree hundred hour or five hundred hour training,
all reading materials are under two hundredhours right under the syllabus. It
(22:26):
is easier for me to keep themall in one place instead of dispersing them
throughout the training, the various trainings, and you should be ever, should
be able to download everything there. The only thing you cannot do is edit
any of the documents. It won'tlet you do that, but it will
let you download so you can readit. Those are the books that I'm
(22:53):
referring to. Okay, if youordered the physical copy of the book.
There has been an issue with Stripethat I'm still working to get resolved where
they will not send me the paymentfor anyone's order. What they told me
last is that they're supposed to refundeveryone on their end and then I'm just
(23:18):
going to provide everyone with a digitaldownload instead of trying to order a physical
copy. So I've been working withthem for the past two months to try
and resolve this issue, and thisis kind of where it's at right now.
So if you're like you're not,I haven't gotten an answer from you
regarding books. This is why Iwas trying to resolve it on my end
and am still struggling with them toget it fixed. So for now,
(23:42):
use digital downloads. Otherwise, Stripesshould be refunding you for your book purchase.
Tune. I do not have adate for when, but I have
been told that that is supposed tohappen on their timeline. D're students
(24:03):
for this term. My assignment isto you when when my assigns. Okay,
so if you are a former studentthat decided to go one more again
with us, you have a yearto turn everything in, so think February
first of twenty twenty five. Ifif you mit that date, you will
(24:26):
have to pay again at the regularprank. Okay, my og is no
that. I've given y'all a long, long, long, long, long
chance to get this done. Solet's get it done. Okay, okay,
school cool, cool, all right. And if for some reason you
(24:56):
have access to the meeting and don'thave access to the course, I'll go
once we get done in training,I'll go back and fix that. No
problem on monthly? Am I lookingfor giving one moment? Yeah? All
(25:23):
right, So let's get into today'sfun thing. How many of you have
watched the chaper video in the onlineportals? How many you had logged into
the portal and started any of thetraining that's already there? Yes, I
mean, okay, all right. So I just wanted to get a general
(25:45):
starting point for what we're going togo over today. So we're gonna talk
about the energetic body. We're goingto talk about the eight full path.
Now, the space level Okay, not yet, that's fine, that's no
worry. The base level information ofthis, the basics of this is already
in the online portal, so youcan go back and review that lesson to
(26:15):
get caught up. But I'm gonnado my best today to get everyone on
the same page or as close toit as possible. So with that,
let's go ahead and get started. All right, So we are talking about
(26:53):
the eight limb path, or it'salso known as the Ashtanga yoga. We
are going to dive into the energeticbody today. We talk a lot about
the physical body in our often ofpractice because that's what people directly can see
and feel. The growth body tactile. Your experience of it is very different
(27:15):
than the energetic body. However, our energetic systems informs our experience of the
physical body. I'll say it again, our energetic body and forms the experience
of the physical body. So ifsomeone is in great suffering while they're in
(27:37):
their life experience where they're going andmoving through life, do you think that
that's going to show up? Howdo you think that that's going to show
up in the physical body? Inwhat ways would it show up? I'm
gonna let everyone unused. Okay,Now y'all can unmeet yourself so you can
(28:08):
answer tight muscles, Yes, whatdo we think about here's the tight hids?
Definitely, here's one, what doyou think about people's gate the way
in which they walk. Have youever seen someone that walks like they have
(28:30):
the weight to the world on theirshoulders or that that just tired walk where
you can tell someone is exhausted orenergetically they just feel and look tired.
That heaviness yet very much that so, our energetic body will prevent situations to
us before they manifest in the physicalworld, because our bodies are no different
(28:53):
than anything else that exists. Right, it's out there in the easter before
it shows up in the material andphysical reality. Does that make sense to
everyone? So for our bodies,if we can mind those energetic levels,
if we can be aware of howimportant it is to keep our peace,
we in turn can keep our physicalbody healthier. Right, And it gives
(29:18):
us an opportunity to access longevity, but not just longevity because I've lived a
long time, but also increase myhealth fan which is really really important because
it's not like I just want tolive a long time. I want to
be healthy and live a long time, right. I want to be able
to do this when I'm ninety.I tell my fiance now that I want
(29:41):
to be for the streets when I'mninety years old. That's what I'm trying
to do is just be out herestotten at ninety because I can't. Right.
But if I'm not keeping myself healthyto be able to do that,
then my aging years look very different. Does that make sense? Everyone?
So what shows up in your energeticbody is going to excuse me, replace
(30:07):
has the potential to manifest in thephysical especially if we're putting energy towards it,
and that energy then it's got toshow up somewhere, right, It's
got to make itself known in someplace, place or face. So a
(30:27):
lot of times we live our lifekind of alienated from our physical body,
alienated from our ability to check in, alienated from the energy of what's going
on around us. Why do youthink that is? An he guesses?
Why you think that is? Canyou repeat the question? Sure, we
(30:56):
spend a lot of time alienated fromour physical body and alienated from the connection
to itself. Why do you thinkthat that's the case? Any guesses?
What is your first thought about it? There's a lot of I'm of the
belief that there's a lot of outwardconnection. We're connected to a lot of
(31:17):
responsibility and things. We get intoroutines, work, children's, house,
driving, and all that is somuch outward that we don't take a lot
of time, or some of usdon't take a lot of time spending inward
to really check in from head totell you are one thousand percent right.
You hit the nail on the head. That was my exact answer. We
(31:37):
project most of our things and mostof our energy into the outward space.
Right. It's about who we areoutside of ours Let me correct, it
is about people's perception of who weare outside of our relationship to self that
we are usually managing on a dailybasis. We typically aren't managing our relationship
(32:00):
to tell right, we are moreoften than not managing our relationship to someone
else and their perception of who theythink that we are. In any given
moment, we're tempering somebody's expectations, right, Okay, So that disconnect can
(32:24):
be a cause of great suffering, and it can also be a cause of
great suffering because if you don't knowyourself, how can you ask anything of
anyone else? How can you asksomeone else to meet needs that you don't
even know about that you don't necessarilyhave the answers here one of the easiest
(32:47):
ways. And when I say easy, I mean it's easy, but it's
also really fucking hard at all.At the same time. One of the
easiest ways to get to know yourselfis to spend five minutes with self in
the morning, before your day start, before you pick up your phone,
before you brush your teeth, beforeyou got to be on for everybody else
who is pulling on your resource andresources and asking something of you. Spend
(33:09):
five minutes with yourself. Date yourself. Take yourself on a morning date each
morning, each day before you startyour day. I cannot tell you how
much of When you begin to investigatehow much of you you find out it's
(33:30):
somebody else's voice that just played onrecord in your head for years and never
stop to evaluate it. You're like, Oh, I love coffee, but
in reality, do I really lovecoffee? Does my body really love coffee?
Or did my mom just drink coffeeevery morning? So now I do
right, I love such and suchsong, But do I really like that
(33:52):
song? Is? Does that songsupport the belief that I actually hold true
for self right now? Or what? That just pop and that thing in
the nineties, because that's what wason the radio shout out the Two Live
Crew anyway. But that's really youdon't know if that's your stuff, right,
You don't know if that's your stuffif you haven't taken the time to
(34:13):
evaluate it. Who knew Two LiveCrew was a part of yoga tea tray
A quick aside. I just wantto say this, I teach hip hop
class as well. It's like mysignature yoga class that I teach is super
fun. There was one time thatI let the students pick, like what
songs we were going to play inclass, and it was between Two Live
Crew, so I let the collectivepick. You never know how derogatory Two
(34:44):
Live Crew is until it's played ina quiet yoga studio where you can hear
every single word of every single song. Note self, don't always let the
collective pick the music for hip hopyoga anyway. I digress else, that
relationship itself and that connection that youhave, it has to be forged just
(35:05):
your responsibility. That is also Docchime in on this one if you agree,
I would love to have your opinion. That is also how you forge
your self esteem, because if youdon't know who you are, right,
how can you forge self as anindividual, How can you craft and create
the experience that is you? Curatethe experience that is you without spending time
(35:29):
with yourself. Otherwise, who youare in relation to you is informed by
everyone else's opinion except for your own, and that relationship has a massive impact
on your energetic body. It hasa massive impact on those energetic layers that
make up who you are. It'slike the old adage of for am I
(35:53):
saying, don't let everybody pray foryou, because not everybody has good intentions,
right, Don't let other people stirthat energy and create an energetic story
about you, because not everybody hashas your uh not everybody is working for
your goods. Okay, So thatalienation leads to suffering, or can lead
(36:16):
to suffering, and that suffering hasan ability to gradually chip away at our
souls identity, at our experience ofour soul's identity. Okay, yeah,
(36:37):
so with me questions before I moveon, comments, concerns, feedback.
I like that. I like thatit is time gonna flock yourself and stuff
(37:00):
into your bad ass, like bethe fullness that is you. I've been
telling my fiance this for like afew weeks. This poor man that is
going to be married to my crazyteacher ass I will tell you too.
Since we've gotten together, he's gottena raise and a whole bunch of other
stuff that has gone on. Butit's because I'm pushing to be your full
(37:22):
self. You don't have to puta mask on, you don't have to
assimilate, you don't have to changewho you are. Be the fullness of
you, and let everybody else getin line. Let the chips fall where
they may, because ultimately you're bringingkindness, you're bringing nurture, and you're
bringing caring to the experience, andthe world deserves that part of you,
and you deserve that part of you. Does that makes sense everybody? Okay,
(37:49):
all right, so let's keep onkeeping on. So there are emotional
qualities that can gatter the mind, the a vija, the ignorance or lack
of a the discriminism of knowledge. So just not knowing right that, not
knowing what you don't know, theash that I miss, the ego,
(38:12):
the mind, the me, themind that the take without give can really
read havoc on the emotions, theraga, the attraction to pleasure. So
just chasing happy, chasing happy,is equally as detrimental to your health as
being uber negative can be, becauseif you're always chasing happy, there's no
(38:37):
way to find that it will alwayschange, right, because the version of
you today that may be satisfied withgetting a new car by tomorrow, Now
it's an old car, so thenwhat's next. Hell, the hour you
drive it off the line, it'san old car, so then what's next?
Uh. The vasia version to pain, so our systems are built for
(39:05):
a certain amount of stress, thata certain amount of stress gives us an
opportunity to create equanimity within the bodyand our experience without that certain amount of
stress that a version can lead tous having, can lead to us having
these disjointed experiences where we can't wecan't take in the fullness of what's happiness
(39:32):
if we're always avoiding the hurt andthe pain. And typically when we are
avoiding something, when we are avoidingas half, it usually leads to more
pain down the lines. Had wejust not jumped in and dealt with it
when we knew it was a problem. So abingivasia it's clinging to life and
fear of death. Now it's notfear of the ultimate death. That's not
(39:54):
what we're talking about. It's fearof loss more or less. This thing
that I know that I know thatI know that I know is not good
for me, but I'm holding onto it because it's familiar, as opposed
to letting it go. And thatcould be any situation. Agree your job,
agree a relationship. It could bechanging schools for your kids. It
(40:17):
could be shoot. It could begetting rid of that old pair of shoes
that you know are so done uncomfortable, but you keep wearing them because they're
available to you. Yes, goahead and ask your question. I'm sorry,
what was that word again? Ilove that the word tell the last
(40:38):
word that I just said, thankyou, Yes, you're welcome here.
Let me. I'm gonna drop itin the chat so you know how to
spell it because it is in subscricso m all right, So I put
(41:16):
in the chat so you know howto spell it. So these are all
things that impact the energetic body, and you can see how they directly correlate
to showing up in your physical body. If you're struggling with any of these,
the physical body is going to havea hard time just managing life in
general because you're walking around in astate of never feeling fulfilled. Everybody's still
(41:43):
with me? Have I gone offthe rails yet? Okay, all right,
let's keep going. So now we'regonna move through the erroneous beliefs that
sustained the delusion, the clacias,so with you? Okay, good?
So, the clashas, the beliefin permanence of objects, the belief that
(42:07):
it's all going to last forever, that everyone's going to get out of it's
alive number one. Number two,the belief that the ultimate reality of the
body, we know that from dustwe came and from dust will return.
However, the clinging tight to theimage of the body that was usually forged
(42:30):
at what we would call our best. So I love to talk about this
in terms of weight loss or yourphysical form and how people. You'll see
this with actors and actresses, wherethey chase the twenty year old version of
themselves. I don't want the twentyyear old version of myself. She was
a hot mess, disaster, dumpsterfire. Don't want it. However,
(42:53):
however, okay, the forty yearold version of myself. I like her.
I like her. Last right, the four year old version of myself
doesn't need to chase the twenty yearold body that I had because it wasn't
healthy. It was not healthy. It was for someto McDonald's and bullshit,
(43:14):
it was not healthy. Okay,So right now, it also does not
serve me to be like, letme be that size in life, because
my personality needs more space to takeup darn it. And I've earned these
tips, in these wrinkles and thesestress lit I've earned those things. So
embracing that the body is going tochange, that that permanence is not a
(43:36):
thing. The belief that our stateof suffering is really happiness. I'm gonna
say that again. The belief thatour state of suffering is really happiness,
that we have to suffer in orderto be happy. We do not.
We can just choose happiness in anymoment. We can choose contentment. My
happiness is not tied to the materialthings that are going on in my life,
(44:00):
to gratitude in any given moments. But that does not mean that I'm
spiritually bypassing. AKA, I'm notpretending that the situation is better than it
actually is. I'm aware of thegrowth and change that could happen, but
I also have gratitude for the blessingthat is currently that is this current moment.
(44:22):
Does that make sense? Yes?Okay? Good, all right?
And then lastly for the clay shoes, the beliefs that our bodies and minds
and feelings are our true self.Your feelings are not back. Your feelings
(44:43):
are just your feelings. And sometimesthose feelings are stilthy, dirty, lying
horse, and they're not nice sometimes, And just tell you all kinds of
foul things. And if we aren'tmindful, if we aren't in a position
where we can pull up and takethat thirty thousand foot view, it'll take
(45:04):
us down a rabbit hole that hasus feel in some type of way that
is not fun. That's not funat all. I want to so over
a quote I believe it in thisbook regarding what feelings are. Oh,
(45:25):
I got I how to highlighted? No, see if I can do it
from memory? Okay. So emotionsare a visceral response in your body.
(45:50):
So emotions are a physical response inyour body. If you bring up a
story from your childhood that makes youfeel some type of discomfort, where do
you feel that discomfort? Is itin your chest? Everyone? Take a
(46:13):
moment's stop and think of something thathappened in your childhood that made you really
happy. Now, someone unmeete themselvesand tell me where you feel in your
body. I'm feeling in my stomachselling okay, cool, Oh good,
(46:36):
that's so great that we got sameanswers for both folks. I love it.
Someone said test someone said heartspace.Okay. Those are your emotions,
Okay, they make a physical responsein the body. Your feeling is a
story that you attached to those emotions. They are two seven for things.
(47:00):
That story is what can lie toyou. So we'll create a whole story
at a whole cloth when in reality, the emotion that came up for you,
that's the thing that needs to beaddressed. Internalists where we don't judge
(47:22):
it. We get curious about itand go, okay, well, well
why what's that? Oh I rememberwe went on this reach strip both Superfund.
Okay, well, why what's that? We get curious about it,
we don't judge it. Does thatmake sense to everyone? Your feelings are
just a story that you attached toit. And those stories are dangerous.
(47:42):
It's called a chitsa virtue dedana. Those stories are so dangerous because we can
create stories out of whole cloth andapply them to other people without really knowing
if that's actually how they feel atall at all. Story time, this
(48:05):
is a fun one. And we'veall been here, right. Put yourself
back into your thirteen year old self. Listen, No, no, no,
let's say fifteen year old self.Okay. We're all in our fifteen
year old little girl body, okay, and the little boy or the little
girl that we're into. We havesent them a text message, all right,
and they have not text us back. And it's been a whole five
(48:28):
minutes. And in that five minuteswe've created an entire narrative around why they
did not text us back. Theydon't like us. For the worst person
in the world. Oh my god, everyone's gonna look at me. They're
gonna laugh, They're gonna know thatthis person doesn't like me. I can't
believe they didn't text me back.Bla blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
Does that sound familiar. Let's fastwardand put it in our thirty something
(48:51):
year old self. Does that storysound familiar? Has anyone ever had an
argument in their head before they haveseen that person in person? Have you
played out the entire argument before youactually got in front of them. Okay,
that's what I'm talking about. That'sthe story, that's the emotions.
(49:13):
I'm sorry, that's the feeling thatyou've attached to an emotion that has come
up about a particular situation. Usuallyin our adult lives, whole rehearsal right,
because I'm going to blame you inthis argument before you even know it,
Like I have my plan of attackrunning in my head and I don't
even know if you mad yet.Ridiculous. Typically in our adult lives,
(49:38):
it is because our vulnerability has beenpoked at and that does not feel good
for us. So we created anarrative in order to defend ourselves from what
we have asserted is a threat, from what we have decided rather is a
threat. Yeah with me? Doesthat make sense? Okay, So your
(50:02):
feelings aren't facts. The stories thatwe create are just that. Now,
that doesn't mean that things don't needto be addressed. That doesn't mean that
it doesn't that we don't work throughit. But this gives us a space
(50:22):
to energetically check in to that emotionthat came up to find out what that
really is. Is it about thatperson, or are we just scared of
being abandoned because we have past abandonmentissues that haven't been addressed. Is it
really about taking out the garbage ordo we feel like we're not being heard
(50:43):
in this particular situation. Is itreally about the fact that are bills may
be late? Or is it thatwe are so terrified that our emotional need
won't be met in some way, shape or form. But that turns into
(51:05):
a manifestation of something that's in thematerial because the feeling of vulnerability that we
have, Yes, the emotion ofvulnerability that we have come up for us
that we've attached to the story thatthat we say is about money, but
in reality is about our safety. And that's feeling safe and secure and connected
(51:25):
to to our bodies, to ourplaint, to the physical plain to this
experience. Everyone still with me?Or has it gone off the rails yet?
Okay, So let's keep moving goodgood good goods. So that chit
(51:47):
diversing road. That is what wejust talked about, all right, That
is that that turnings of the mindwhere you'll get on on your yoga mat
at times and chick gets real noisyas soon as you get quiet. I
don't want to be here. Thisis so hard. I can't believe she's
asking us to make all these videos. I'm so tired. My arm hurts.
I can't try again say my dogis sick, my chat is sleeping
(52:09):
on my mat, all the stuff, all the stuff, just as thro
the nerosama. Yes, okay, all right. So what we want to
(52:30):
work forward is acquiring that accurate perceptionof what's going on being steeped and what
actually is. Now we're not mindyou. What I did not say is
past judgment on what is and thenbe your okay, then be your biggest
inner critic about it and beat yourselfup. No, no, no,
(52:50):
no no. We just want tobe observers and have an accurate perception of
what's going on. We don't wantto then have the emotion of vulnerability come
up and then we attach this worngdiet tribe story about why it is,
what it is, and how itis, because if we are actively minding
our feelings, excuse me, ifwe're actively minding our emotions, that gives
(53:15):
that emotion the opportunity to come upand pass through the body. If we
attach a story to it, nowit is sucks, all right, cool,
inaccurate perception, we could say thatour cognitive faculties can really get in
(53:35):
a way. So again that storycan really get us stuck and can really
feel uncomfortable. And then if wecreate a perception of what's transpired that is
not healthy, Now we send ourselvesdown this really onhealthy rabbit hole. That
may not even be true, butwe are holding on site, so yet
that definitely has to be the case. We can then put ourselves in a
(54:00):
position where we assign malice where inreality we should be extending grace. Because
what we have to keep in mindif we are minding our energetic body,
is that we're not the main characterin other people's stories. We're not.
(54:23):
We're not, so usually when thingstranspire it there's probably more to the story.
Ninety nine point nine percent in fiveI could definitely say that as a
business owner, that there is somethingelse that is going on that the outside
world does not know about, butit's not for public consumption. So with
that stories get created. Okay, all right, So those are the things
(54:50):
that their weight, if you will, on our energetic body. Okay,
then we have, as I saidbefore, the gross body. That's the
physical body that you can touch, the subtle bodies, and then the causal
bodies. The next are the kosha, the five sheets. So it's the
(55:15):
layers of the layers that make upthe physical body and our experience, all
right. So you have on amaya kosha, which is the sheath of
food. It's where we intake fruits. Okay. Prana maya kosha. It
(55:36):
is the vital air. So you'rebreathing your breast maana maya kosha. Your
mind, you're thinking vinyana maya kosha. It's your intellect, kind of your
common sense, think casual intellect, your commisense Anana maya kosha. It is
your bliss, your happiness, yourconnection to your joy, your connection to
you, right, your best versionof you, not's someone else, all
(56:00):
right. So in these layers ofthe energetic body, they end up being
informed by our environment and by ourexperiences as we age. Okay. So
if one of the layers of thebody is that food sheet that I'm not
(56:22):
on a maya kosha, in turn, would you say that it matters what
we eat? Would you think thatit is important that there's an importance to
our food intake. Okay? Sowe got two yeses. Now here's the
thing. Yes and no. Itdoes matter, right, we want to
(56:43):
be healthy, we don't want toeat junk all the time. But also
no, and here's why. Ifour body has the intelligence for our liver
to liver, our heart to heart, our lungs prolong our digestive system to
run without any of us as thinking, do you think that that same body
has the intelligence to convert food, any food that you consume, depending on
(57:07):
what you have available to you, into the greatest amount of nursement pour your
body in that moment. If we'regoing to entrust the intelligence of our bodies
to do all of those super importantthings to keep us alive, walking,
talking, and moving, I wouldventure to say that the body has the
same intelligence to manage turning a cupcakeinto energy. I think you could do
(57:30):
it. So, if you arein a situation where you don't have access
to what we'll call conventionally healthy foods, eats the healthiest food that's available to
you in your area, and letyour body do what it knows how to
do with it. Let the intelligenceof your body manage it in the best
(57:54):
way possible. In other words, trust yourself. I just gave everyone permission
to eat junk. I just wantto say that in layman's terms, it's
it's not a moral failing if youeat a cupcake. It's not Yeah,
I don't know. It's not amoral failing to eat a cupcake. It's
(58:17):
not going to kill you to eata cupcake. As a matter of fact,
I would say that will probably promoteyour happiness one hundred and ten percent
because then you don't have a bunchof food gilt connected to eating this thing
that brought you joy and trust theintelligence of your body to make the most
of it. If anyone is onthe diet ups and downs, I hope
(58:38):
that gives you infermission to love yourselffrom a different space. Okay, crazy,
what yoga can do. It's wild. We're not even on the mat.
We're just talking, all right. So let's get to the chakri system.
What I'm gonna give you because we'realmost at the end of time,
(59:00):
and this is the point I wantedto make regarding the chakra system, and
the breakdown is in the portal,so please make sure you watch that because
I give a full overview of theseven main chakras that we talk about those
energetic systems have a effect on ourexperience. So if I'm struggling with I,
(59:27):
let me correct talking about me personally. If I feel angsty and I
feel stressed, and I don't feelgrounded, and I feel really just anxious
and energetic and all over the place, I probably need to ground into my
practice and check in with my muladara chakra, my root chakra. Why
do I need to check in therebecause my sense of security has been shaken?
(59:53):
Because that's what it manages from theenergetic perspective. Now, if you
were in a yoga class, thisis where we get to that posture breakdown
part, the part that I promisedyou today for doing the energetic portion of
it. If you're in a yogaclass and you know that your class is
let's play five point thirty in theafternoon, and people are coming to you
(01:00:15):
through rush hour traffic, do youthink it is prudent to do more grounding
poses for those students to get themback into their physical body before we move
through this fly high astina practice.I think it's important. I think it's
helpful because now we are taking thetime to ground and connect in the energetic
(01:00:40):
body first before we move to thephysical route, put them back in their
body, give the opportunity for theconnection with your root chakra, and then
you can move through the rest ofyour Austina poses and practice. Does that
(01:01:00):
make sense to everyone? Yes?No? Maybe? So okay? Because
our root chakra is connected to oursecurity, our sense of our sense of
foundational belonging. If everything is inthe air of here, if everything is
tide flying, it's going to bevery hard to ground and connect itself.
(01:01:24):
If you are someone like me whohappens to be an AirSign babe, I
can be up and out and disassociatewith the best of them. It is
almost a superpower. If I don'twant to be here, I am not
here. Thank you ADHD. It'sso great. I love it. I
freaking love it. And it's alsodetrimental to my health at times because I
(01:01:46):
need to pay attention and be inmy pophysical body. I should be there,
it should be It's cool, cool, cool, right, But I
know that, And when I feelthat angth in that energy, I lean
heavy and to my astronga practice. Why Because there's freedom found in the discipline
of the practice being exactly the same, I can lean into the comfort of
(01:02:10):
knowing exactly what to expect, andit allows my energetic body to feel like
I have a sense of control, and I can take that sense of control
or that sense of comfort out intothe world and to the rest of my
life and the things that I do. I am a better yoga teacher when
I mind my own practice. I'ma better business owner when I mind my
(01:02:31):
own practice. I'm gonna tell y'alla secret. Y'all know if I'm on
my mat because I respond to emailbetter for you all. If I've been
on my mat that whole week, because that discipline of my practice leaps over
in the other parts of my life. When it's a dumpster fire elsewhere,
(01:02:52):
there's a pretty good chance I havenot gotten on my mat at all.
And we are all on the struggleof us together. Okay, all right,
so you're let's move on to thenext chakra. Your saicleo chakra is
the center of our emotions, ourflexibility, and our float. So if
we're feeling stagnant, if we're feelingstuck, it's prudent in our physical body
(01:03:17):
and in our practice that we findflow. So if a student comes to
you and says I have tight hits. You see people sitting down chriscross apple
sauce and all of their knees areup like this, There's some duckness in
the energetic body. So it wouldbe prudent to add flow in your class
to give them an opportunity to flow, maybe through just a cat cap.
(01:03:43):
This is how we can energetically affectthem with experience in class and work through
the energetic body. Help work throughthose layers in order to bring them back
to the physical body and connect itselfwithout worrying about did I do ten thousand
chataragres? Does that make sense everyone? Okay, all right, let's keep
(01:04:11):
going. I have all of theseexercises that are within the Steving Sailing Chapters
workbook, and I might give themto you as a bonus. The only
reason that I don't include them inclasses. It's heavy work and I almost
(01:04:38):
want a separate group for this particularproject. So I'll put it out for
you all as an option to do, and we'll see if we can put
one together, because we would needcommunity support because it digs into your feelings
in a way that that can bea lot. But for purposes of this
lesson, it is a helpful guide. So you're so a plex is your
(01:05:00):
next chakra. Building on your securityof the root chakra and the flexibility of
your sacral chakra. We now cometo the filiplexus, which is your power,
your willpower, potential, motivation, and your drive. So if I'm
not rooted and grounded in my body, right, if i cannot feel the
(01:05:20):
flow in that ebb and flow ofmy emotions not be brittle, right,
I'm not too high in the highs, not too low in the lows,
it's going to make your sense ofwillpower and your potential, it's going to
make it feel dull. Right. If I can't find flow, that means
I cannot access my will to goforward, because in not from that position
(01:05:43):
of being brittled, there's no forwards, there's no forward to be had.
If I'm stuck, if I feelstuck, if I feel energetically stuck,
and then if I feel energetically stuck, my motivation is going to wax the
way. Now, I will alsosay that in Siste, in life in
general, motivation is probably bs.There are some days that discipline is going
(01:06:06):
to be what you rely on.It just is. It just is,
because there are days where I donot feel like doing shit, don't do
nothing. I want to answer anybody. There can be a thousand emails in
the buck that shits tomorrow problem. And that's just real because I too am
(01:06:27):
part of the human experience like youare. There some days where I'm just
like, look, I don't know. I'd be better for this world if
I set my hands down somewhere andtake an ask. That's it. However,
if I even tap into that abilityto access discipline, now I'm going
to push forward and go do thethings that I know that I need to
do, all right stuff and whenif we're working through that will power.
(01:06:53):
That's the point where in class offerpeople poses where they can find a yoga
wind. Okay, so a yogawind. If someone is let's say,
struggling in down dog and people keepsit and let me, actually, I'm
gonna back it down even to thefloor. If someone is experiencing struggle in
(01:07:13):
child's pose and everyone keeps telling youchild's pose is supposed to be easy,
but you are suffering. You're sufferingthrough and musician and easy wider. I
keep coming to this class and youoffer them a block to put under their
behind, to take the pressure offthe body to bring the floor to them.
That's yoga wind. Now that createsthat willpower, that motivation, that
(01:07:38):
potential for drives to be able tomove forward because we've grounded the energy,
put it in a safe space, and now it gives the body an opportunity
to relax and experience the fullness ofthe posture for that person. Does that
make sense? Everyone? This ishow your at in a practice ties to
the energetic body. Because we allneed need yoga winds just like we all
(01:08:01):
need winds and life. We needto feel, we need to have a
sense of quote unquote achievement. AndI'd be lying to you if I said
that there's a disconnect and that youdon't just need your ego. The ego
doesn't need to lead, but itdoes still need to exist. And also
(01:08:21):
adventure to say for those for blackfolks in general, that ego is going
to have to save you at timestoo. That ego is that out if
you bucking, you're not taking shitoff anybody, and we need a little
bit of that just to make itthrough life. Yeah, for real,
(01:08:41):
welcome to the yoga teacher training thatyou didn't know that you needed. We're
not here if you buck is apart of the conversation because that's real for
us. Right, that's real forus, and it also should be coveted
as much as the outside world coversit. We should covet that energy as
much as the outside world does.Right that that quote unquote sath, it's
(01:09:08):
not that, it's just I'm nothere, I'm not with the ship,
and I'm just gonna let you know. And also I will say this too,
and in this world and the sacraluh excuse me selfes chacra connection,
it's also because us as black womenand culturally, we traffic in truth.
We don't traffic in uh niceness.Like our currency in the community is being
(01:09:32):
real, truthful with each other. We do kindness, we don't do we
don't do nice, and the restof the world perceives that as sad.
No, I'm just not gonna pretendto like you when I don't. I'll
be cordial, I'll be flight becauseyou know, I'm still Southern. But
(01:09:55):
I'm just not gonna pretend to likeyou if I don't. Yeah, real
talk man, uh uh yeah,Well, I'll put out a WhatsApp group
connect. This will be my firsttime doing that usually I have reservations about
doing that. But we'll we'll makea we'll make a WhatsApp and I will
make rules. If y'all don't followthe rules, I will turn it off.
(01:10:15):
One and only warnings for having agroup with app. Okay, all
right. So that connection to oursolar plexes and that that win that we
need to feel, to feel connectedand leaning into that energy of yeah,
we're we're here for love, allright. Your heart chakra, So the
(01:10:44):
heart chakra is a pivotal point.Uh. It brings It's the bridge between
our grounded and earthliness and us connectingto our own divinity. It is not
the example of divinity that someone elsebuilt you when you were ten years old.
It is your connection to divinity nowand whatever that looks like, whomever
(01:11:08):
your homie is, God, amon fiance, I do not care who
it is. But it's wherever thatconnection lies for you. Your heart is
where that bridge begins to form. Now there is for me. There's no
truth in the well. If youcan't do but heart openers, that means
(01:11:31):
your heart isn't open. No.What that means is there's something going on
in your physical body from a muscularskeletal perspective that may be stuck if you
had a shoulder injury. Drawing yourshoulders back in space and bringing your heart
for it maybe sketchy suck. Thatdoesn't mean that you aren't an open hearted
kind of person. Okay, thosetwo things are not usually exclusive, all
(01:11:54):
right. It just means that youmight need a good pete and we can
work that shoulder out. That's it, all right. So it's not a
matter of Oh, if I can'taccess this pasture just means something else for
me energetically. It's not up fullyour debt. It might be something in
the physical body that we just needto work through. However, if someone
(01:12:14):
comes in, we spend our days, most of us we're driving, right,
we're texting, we're typing. Everythingwith the frontal plane of the body
is all going forward, right. So heart openers are helpful in class because
it allows us to go the otherdirection. It allows us to articulate a
(01:12:38):
sign the sign in a way thatis healthy and helpful. So, if
the majority of us have jobs thatcall for us to be in the position,
don't you think it's prudent for usto build the other directions. It's
just that simple. Right, webuild classes and build postures around eating the
(01:13:00):
energetic body. And as we passedthrough these portions of the energetic body,
starting with the root and grounding itinto the glass. Right, as we
passed through these postures, it allowsus to connect the energetic body with the
physical body, thus building this overallhealthier experience. Makes sense, Yes,
okay, great, yeah, Sothat's heart chakra and how we connect that
(01:13:26):
one ends less, keep it okay, So throat chakra, your your throat
(01:13:50):
chakra, and I will give allof the conscript names are in the videos
as well. And that's an thepartial. So your basic survival instincts exists
in your root chakra through the sacralwith an sense on your balance, your
flexibility, your flow. Then wecome to the power of your full of
(01:14:13):
plexus. And then our heart chakrais like the bridge. Our throat chakra
is our communication and connection with ourtruth, with our truest experiences. Okay,
now communicating with integrity. Okay, here's the thing with this integrity.
Integrity is always presented as an outwardfacing thing. It's not. Integrity is
(01:14:38):
an inward facing thing. It iswhere are you letting yourself down? Are
you being fully truthful to you ifyou're like and I'll give it as a
base love example. So when Iask you to go to the party,
you don't want to go to theparty, but you say yes. Anyway,
you're letting yourself down. That's yourown integrity at stake. It has
nothing to do with that other persons. Right, Just say no, Just
(01:15:01):
say no no. It is acomplete thing. It requires no pre or
post sample, It requires no explanation. My favorite thing, favorite things.
And I don't know if this isbecause I'm forty one now, but it's
like my favorite thing other to justtell someone no and offer zero explanations.
(01:15:23):
My favorite thing, yeah, voicebox speaking their truth. Why so many
women have issues with their cyroight? This right here is my syrads land And
it looks like this because I spenta lot of years without boundaries and not
saying what I needed to say.I spent a lot of years in a
(01:15:45):
marriage that was not healthy and notspeaking up for self. And that is
the physical manifestation of not minding myenergetic bodies. We have chang and I
now I'm managing that situation because I'vehad to change the format out of how
I teach, and I have tohave surgery to have that take it out.
Now, crazy is a physical manifestationof me not knowing that my voice
(01:16:10):
mattered to sell fu Yeah, okay, that throat chocolate like it's a thing.
It's a thing, okay. Andthe other piece of that too is
also knowing when not to talk, knowing when not to over explained, because
(01:16:31):
the truth can be yours and itcould just be yours, and you don't
necessarily owe someone an explanation. Ican tell you wholeheartedly as a business owner
who has trained almost five thousand folks. Now, there are stories that float
around about me on the internet.Ninety nine point nine percent of them do
not have the full scope and storyof what went on. And I just
refuse to answer those things any longerbecause I have responsibility to myself to mind
(01:16:58):
my own energy and mind my ownpiece. I know what the full explanation
is. We can get out thereand fight and go around with people,
or I can just keep my peaceand keep it pushing. Yeah, say
no and no need to explain. But for women that can be very hard
to We're definitely brought up and groomed, and I use the word on purpose
(01:17:20):
groomed, to acquiesce and to tocompromise, write our own integrity for someone
else's well. Typically talk to goalong, to get along a lot.
(01:17:45):
Now, there is something to besaid for that being a direct safety issue.
However, if we set clear andclear and concise boundaries, and remember,
do you want to say this reallyquick, boundaries are not for the
other person's behavior there for yours.Boundaries determine what you're gonna do if somebody
steps on a hard line for you. So one of mine is you don't
(01:18:09):
raise your voice in me. That'sa hard line for me. So my
running thing is if you raise yourvoice, I don't care how passionate it
you are about the topic. Itmakes me uncomfortable to feel disregulated with raised
voices, that includes my own. That is the time to stop having the
conversation, walk away for a fewminutes, and then a rulers in later.
(01:18:30):
And these days, when I pullback my energy from that experience,
I pull hard, pull hard, step away and go, hey, I'm
done, so cool. You canhave it. You can have it,
because that's a boundary for me.Now, a rule is me saying a
rule would be more or less ifyou raise your voice to me, you
(01:18:55):
have to sleep on the couch. That's a rule, that's not a boundary,
because sleeping on the hoes not abehavior for me, that's for the
other person in the house. Doesthat makes sense? Okay? So if
we are stepping into our integrity andour connection to what's going on in our
connection to self and being truthful withself, we can use this voice as
(01:19:19):
a voice for good. We canuse this connection for good. And if
we can do for the good ofourselves, which is not selfish, because
remember we're coming from a place ofgrace, love and connection, then we
can project out into the outside worldbecause we've given it to our self first.
Everybody still with me, all right, let's keep going. We're almost
(01:19:44):
done here, almost almost and inour throat chakra the asina uh pose this
areas that is the word they wantthat we can do. One of my
favorites is ustrasena so camel because yourhead it's set back and this is open
to the world and to the experience. That makes sense to everyone. Anything
(01:20:06):
that lifts the trend, so anythingthat allows for the front of the body
to be lifted and facing forward.Okay, let's keep going. So you're
(01:20:26):
third at chakra. It is yourconnection to your wisdom, your inspiration,
and you're in sight and understanding ofyou. And then your connection to your
higher self okay, to the versionthat exists of you all the time.
(01:20:50):
It's your connection there. How dowe work on that one? How do
we bring them into our athena practice? It is by our five minutes date
yourself in the morning that I mentionedin the beginning. That's how we connect
to that part of ourselves, ourwisdom, our own knowing. Have you
ever had that moment where you justknowing your bones something that's gonna happen.
(01:21:14):
That's the knowing that you are connectingto. Every once in a while,
get a moment where I know someone'sgonna call before they do, or know
something's gonna happen before they do.That's being checked into that I that I
miss. And again, how dowe work on that? How to connect
with that through meditation? That datingyourself, sitting sitting down in the morning,
(01:21:35):
sending a five minute timer and justlistening to you and only you before
the outside world starts pulling on yourresources, all right, And then lastly
your crown chakra. The way thatwe connect to that again is through meditation,
(01:21:56):
just sitting in a comfortable position. It does not have to be lotued.
I cannot stress that in up youcan be laying down, you can
be sitting up. The only kindof stop conventional thoughts to it is sinus
straight with the poems. Open typicallyleads to a better experience because it's in
that space of receiving and connection asopposed to palms down, body clothes and
(01:22:19):
being more closed off. All right, So our crown chakra is our connection
to the divinity, the universe. As I said before, God, beyance,
whatever you want to call it,it is your connection to that and
that is something that you again forgeon a personal level. So if you're
(01:22:42):
in class teaching this to someone andbringing it through the energetic space, this
is the portion where you can offerspace for meditation and then stop talking.
The reason you want to stop talkingis because it gives your students an opportunity
to connect to themselves without you duringtheir experience. Everybody whispering, Okay,
(01:23:05):
So how do we feel about theenergetic body breakdown of ossoma practice? Good?
Jumped up? Good, good, good, good, great, okay,
(01:23:25):
awesome, wonderful. I'm glad thatyou all are enjoying it. So
one more announcement that I want tomake really quick is our yoga retreat for
twenty twenty five is going to bein Bloom, Mexico. We're doing a
luxury retreat this time with Signature Luxury. There are only twenty bass available.
(01:23:55):

otherwise I end up working on theBut I will follow up with you on
