Healing Through Your Journey: A Call To The Altar is an experiential program as we move through personal trauma experiences while connecting inward through gentle yoga movement, grounding exercises, deep breathing techniques, mindfulness practices, and guided meditations.



Oftentimes, our body remembers what our mind tries to forget. Yoga practices, grounding techniques, as wells breathe work help us call attention to the parts of our body that may still be carrying residual trauma. This interview is with LaQuana Sheppard, MSW. I’d like to think of myself as a wounded healer. I’m a mother, I’m a black woman, I’m a human being Constantly evolving and learning how to navigate the human experience , my background is in social work and sociology, I’m a budding therapist, owner of A.L.T.E.R. INC., altering trauma through empowerment and recovery. My mission looking to serve and heal my people. Program is an experiential workshop / mending space created to explore the affects of trauma on our minds, bodies, and spirits through breathe work, gentle yoga / guided movement, meditation, & journaling. My mission is to create a genuine space for healing that’s inclusive, safe, productive, and stable. There I’ll light refreshments, drank, poetry, painting, and discussion.
