Alicia Thompson is an international thespian and writer who hails from the “land of
wood and water” know as Jamaica.  She is a social entrepreneur and founder of AIM
Theatre (Artistry is Ministry) which use theatrical arts to uplift and inspire youth to
navigates issues. She believes life is a stage where we teach children how to
perform. In society mainstream media often has a negative impact on youth, Alicia
is determined to use AIM Theatre to help change the negative impact.   She has
created various projects such as I Am My Hair, Park Therapy, I Salute You Good Men,
The Journey to Purim, Incarcerated Hero and more. Alicia uses her projects as
community conversation starter. Alicia was one of the 2019 TEDx Talk speakers
selected in Connecticut where she presented a theatrical talk on the antidote to low
self-esteem. She a board member of Advocates for Community Awareness, an
alumni of the Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI), Parents Supporting
Excellence in Education (SEE), and a recipient of the Bridgeport Parent Leadership
Award.
