Speaker 1 (00:06):
If you're watching me, you'll see the comment. It's behind me.
I'm gonna move out the way so you can see
the comments. For those of you guys who are listening,
I'm going to read the comment out so it's bone
before rewind. I'm James I Junior, and I thought I don't.
I don't censor comments on my pages. Do writever you
want on there and go wherever you want with that.
(00:29):
I I'm choosing to use this comment for an episode
of this show because it is worth you're talking about it.
This is my chant I'm doing, I want and my show.
So last show I did was on the first Game
Mail couple we have dec and whatever and so oyo
(00:53):
all there's a lot of different things going on the
show that are kind of offensive. Right, we throught on
all our shows all the time, but this person is
side to right.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
We got the way, I got the way. Oh, this.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Disgusting, pushing it on people who don't want to see it.
This Donna Davis won five zero nine on YouTube. Decide
to write that now she does have a picture and
but nothing personally on her page on YouTube. Don't know
if she's a bot, could be. I am assuming that
(01:31):
she didn't watch my show on this and just saw
I just saw the title. Maybe maybe she watched the top.
Maybe she saw the title, watch the show, and that's
how she feels about it. Maybe maybe she said it
tongue in cheek. Maybe she's like disgusting, you know what.
But I don't know. But as I read it, and
(01:55):
I'm being funny, of course, as I read it, I
was like, there are folks who do agree.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Who actually feel this way.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Disgusting, disgusted by seeing two men get a relationship on
a show twenty twenty five, it still happens. I'm amazed
by it myself. What is why I want to bring
this up? Because Number One, I don't say I said,
I don't sensor comments. You can say two want on
my page. Whatever we'll see. Even by I didn't respond
(02:28):
to this person, I'm not gonna respond to them.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
This is my response.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
They watch this show and they'll see they've been blown
up a little bit, and I don't care because if
they're really being negative, that's shame in twenty twenty five.
But you feel that way, especially about a show that
you're not calling I don't see you calling out not
what not on my pages.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
I've seen you comment on my pages.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
You're not calling out misogyny, you're not calling out male
race there happening on the show.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
You're not calling.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Out agism, not calling out racism. There's a lot of
things that these soaps too, and Bone Beufole does it too,
that are very questionable and we talk about it all
the time on this show and on the Bone, Beautiful
Man the Spotlight. And it's my first time seeing your
(03:22):
comments in my section. I don't if you ever commented before,
but this one is so to me, it's just negative.
But we have to keep in mind if she really
feels this way, she's representing a saving a population who
agrees also. And I'm just and I kept thinking, as
(03:45):
we move along in time and generations change, that it
just wouldn't matter anymore, like it just would be. I
don't know, I guess I guess I was wrong, and
that's I'm wrong about that. When it comes to our
television sets and the stories they're telling, especially on soap operas,
(04:06):
they talk kinds of crazy, they talk kinds of stories
adultrey is this mean as that's why you watch soap
operas seeing a gay couple kissed a couple of times, hug,
that's what makes you find what makes you either turn
off the show or comment on on my pages. And
(04:28):
I'm just like, I just I okay, so folks, I
just really I you know, I I keep hoping the
world would change. And because I mean, they take all
these polls and stuff, and most people don't care. They're like,
show it, don't show it whatever. They're like, they're fine.
(04:49):
Mostly they said sixteen percent of people in America believing
gay rights. I mean, like it's it's it's not like
it once was. And I also recognize there are folks
who are are seriously hardcore against anything gay. They just
they're just they're just hardcore religion or hardcore just feelings whatever.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
They're not gonna change.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
And I guess because I'm a gay man who is
on this who's the lead of this show, and who
does these shows, that this is what I have to
deal with comments like this, And usually I'm told just
to shut up and take it. James, you just get
to realize, you know, being openly gay is not it's
(05:32):
just not the best thing in the world, you know,
and you're gonna run across people are just not gonna
like it, and it's my it's my choice to make
them feel comfortable, or it's my choice to suffer in
silence and degay myself. It's my choice to lower my
voice even more and just not mentioned anything about my life.
(05:55):
That's something that's been part of my adult life. Since
I came out in the late eighties. I had jobs
where I couldn't talk about anything away from the job.
And even though being gay is only a small part
of who I am, but it's an important part.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
I love the other parts to me Since the daytime
soap operaly not could do too much.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Only do so much of that at the eleventh thirty
twelve thirty hour anyway, So you're not gonna see that much.
And and I have found here's one thing gonna positive though.
I have actually met people who were so against gay
people and blah blah. Then they met me or someone
like you know, other people I know who are gay,
(06:43):
and they're like, oh y guys like the rest of us, Okay,
you're fine, and I could get along fine. That's happened also,
And so I just I'm just, I'm just I was
just this comment because although the comments were about the storyline,
there's a lot of coming unerneath this video. They're all
about the storyline and this over here and also and
then I get this comment that's not the top of
(07:06):
my list. I'm like, because I love the dialogue and
it's person I would touch on them if they want
to talk about dialogue. But like I said, I would
never senption their comments or tell them how to feel.
I'm just kind of curious, why does it bother you
so much when I mean, yeah, I don't know. I
(07:29):
just it's but it's just example of folks are things
that I have to deal with it, and I have
to have to. I have to just walk with it
and go, Okay, well this is how life is. But
so I chose today to say something about it. And
I have no idea what they're gonna do the storyline.
I have not they're gonna do with these characters. This
(07:50):
show is does whatever wants to do. And to say
that I have no idea, but I'm going to reiterate
I'm glad they do have a story.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
They have two gay men on here.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Well, the memory part, I'm still kind of like a
little if he's shaky about but these coming in hot
is coming in gay he's coming in, you know, self assured.
I hope something positive can come out of it. It's
both and beautiful, so we'll see what happens. But I
hope it is and a soap opera. We'll see what happens.
I hope it does. Yeah, that's my rebuttal to this.
(08:29):
And uh, and let's not get discouraged. More people are
fine with this than there are not, and more people
don't really care that one way or the other. So
I'm gonna try to hold on to that as I
go forward. Again, if you're listening to this, you can
read the com I just read it earlier. You can
(08:50):
come see the comments up here. I get to do
it again for you. There you go. The midnight the
mini spotlight shows are on Sundays, and rewind this during
the week.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
We'll talk to you next time.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
