Jacoby marsh re quested the trade. Yes, Ian Rappaport had
it yesterday. Jacoby Myers recently met with Team Brass A
requested to be traded per Ian Rappaport and Tom Pellisero.
The team, citing his value, said they had no plans
to do so. Myers and the team attempted to negotiate
a new contract but could not come to terms. So

Jacoby Myers requests a trade. But then there was this.
All right, let's go to another one here. NFL insider
Diana Russini, immediately after Jacoby Myers requested a trade, she
enlisted the names of four teams that are scouring the

veteran wide receiver market ahead of roster cutdown to day.
Those four teams gcluted the Raiders, which that was actually
filled by the signing of Mark Cooper. So eliminate the
Raiders from this list. Whoop. Then we got the Pittsburgh Steelers,
the Minnesota Vikings, and the New York Jets. Now the
Vikings are looking over in Adam Thiel and Land in Carolina,
so let's put them aside. So it could be a

Jet stealers race for Jacoby Myers. And that's who they
play against in Week one, so could be a wild
turn of events there and then only natural. Next question
is why is Jacoby Myers qresident trade? Well, he wants
more money, so okay, how much is it going to cost?

So number one, number one here to Sean Reid of
the Athletic He says that Jacoby Myers said to make
a base salary of ten and a half million in
twenty twenty five, which obviously isn't you know, comparable to

what Jacoby Myers has delivered on the field. He is
in the last year of a thirty three million dollar
contract and according to spot track, they're projections. They project
him to make sign a two year deal for sixty
million thirty million per year. Now to me, that's a
little rich. Let ye, let me throw the next light

up here. To me, thirty million per whoa little too
close to Garrett Wilson virg guy who's only had one
one thousand yard season, so I think not. But someone
who's much closer to this situation. Let's go to our boy,
Moe Moten, who covers the Las Vegas Raiders pretty intimately.
He said this, I don't see Jacoby Myers getting thirty

two million from any team with only one one thousand
yard plus season. Terry McCluin had five such seasons. He says,
I like Myers, but his numbers are what they are.
My guess is he falls somewhere between twenty and twenty
three million per year. And by the way, that's what
he wants. I'm in, baby, I am in, so yes,

if we can get jakoble Marsh. Here's the thing, right,
Jacoby Myers is not a big name. He's not DeVante Adams,
he's not whatever, Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson or any of
these guys. However, for what the Jets are looking for,
Jacoby Myers might be exactly what the doctor ordered. We

need a competent guy opposite of Garrett that can get
the job done, and Jacoby Myers, if you look at
the old statistics, he seems like an all reliable kind
of guy. He's coming off a career year eighty seven catches,
thousand yards, four tuties, and throughout his career he's basically

been the same thing over the last four years. That's
good sample. So it's the last four years and includes
two with the Patriots and two with the Raiders. He's caught.
We'll go back to twenty twenty one, We'll go back
to four years ago, and frankly go back to five
years ago because the production is very similar. But twenty
twenty one he had eighty three catches, eight hundred and
sixty six yards and two touchdowns. Twenty twenty two sixty

seven catches eight hundred four yards, six touchdowns, twenty twenty
three seventy one catches eight hundred yards, eight touchdowns, and
then the numbers I just said, So he is a
guy that has a nice floor. Eight hundred receiving yards
every season. Boom boom, boom boom. Do you know what
eight hundred receiving yards every season is? Is that? Well,

he's a guy who has a floor, and that sounds
like a wide receiver two to me, So I'm interested. Now,
Jet squar Wad says, I would love Jacobe Myers, but
I think we're standing pat wide receiver. So maybe what
Diana Rossini is hearing because again she says, the Jets
are scouring, that's the word of choice. Are scouring the

veteran wide receiver market. So it sounds like they don't
want to stand pad unless that's a smoke screen, And
I wouldn't understand the the purpose of said smokes screen,
but that would be I don't understand. It's not like
there's a draft happening here. We're trying to throw someone
off the scent the Jets are scouring, it feels like
that's legit that they're scouring. But you know, we'll see
what happens. I am open to making a deal for

twenty to twenty three million per year, Jakobe. We're willing
to give you an upgrade, basically double your salary. Yeah,
let's talk about it. I'm all about it. Let's get
another guy in that room. And again, if I'm going
to overpay, whether that's draft assets or you know, a
financial investment, why wouldn't you do it around your quarterback?

The Jets believe in Justin Fields. Whether anyone else does
on the outside is irrelevant. The Jets believe that Justin
Fields is the guy. And if that is true. If
that's true, wouldn't you want to put as many pieces
around him to see if he can succeed? Of course
