Speaker 1 (00:04):
The initial fifty three van roster for the New York
Jets has said finally they posted it last night. Plus
it's immediately time to turn the page to waiver claims today.
Where are the Jets gonna be aggressive, if at all?
What positions will they target? What players could they target?
We have those answers. Let's go. Boy Green Daily starts
right bleeping now. I'm gonna lose my gash. Darned bananas.

(00:28):
Boy Green Daily start, Snare.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Sweets, Buggy Day, Buggy Day, Buggy, Let's go.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Do.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Put your seatbelts on, getting ready for the ride.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
We're the freaking New York Jets.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
We're built for the ship. What's going on? Everybody? I'm
Paul as to Junior aka Boy Green of the New
York Jets, digital reporter for heavy dot com. Welcome to

(01:09):
Boy Green Daily Daily New York Jets video show, also
available wherever you get your podcasts. We have a full
article the YouTube description down below. Because also, the Jets
lost a surprise projected defensive starter from earlier in training
camp to a season ending injury. Apparently, so I didn't
have that on the Bengo card. We'll get into that
year in just a minute as well. If you guys
are watching on YouTube, make sure you guys like the video,

(01:30):
hit subscribe. We appreciate you. Let's get to that part
of the equation first. Then we could get into the
initial fifty three man roster. There's so many thoughts, I
don't even know if we'll have time to get to
all of it, quite frankly, with everything that's going on today.
But before actually we get to all that, let me
give a quick shout out here to our boy MFC
motherfing Chew gifting a boy Green Coffee Club membership. Hel

(01:57):
Thank you, Mother fing Chew. That membership went to. Let
me make sure you get my reading glasses out here,
which are the same as the glasses I wear in
my dace all the time. For those that are curious
cognitive dissonance. Who was making some noise on the Manchod
Show Digital channel MC show Digital, I saw I was
interacting on our live show, which, by the way, our

(02:18):
live show is back to day at eleven o'clock. So
I look forward to reacting and talking to all that.
Wals fpff NFL analyst Dalton Wasserman on that program very much.
Looking forward to that. Thank you, MFC. All right, so
let's talk about this Byron Coward, who had been dealing
with an ankle injury for a bit. He was supposed
to be the starter next to Quentin Williams early in camp,

(02:39):
and then the change had happened, and really even in
the middle of camp. The thing that happened was the
two trades last week for Harrison Phillips from the Minnesota
Viking sin Juwan Briggs from the Cleveland Browns, and a
lot of us said, oh, thank goodness, look at this
reinforcements of a position that we think is sort of
a weakness. But then we get the initial fifty three

(02:59):
man robs yesterday, and initially he goes under the radar
because we're all like, oh, who stayed, who weed this
that or the other. And the Jets designated Byron Coward
to injured reserve. What they did not do is say
he is designated to return. And each NFL team has
allowed two such designations, the Jets to use one of

(03:21):
those on JaMarcus Weston, who is the undrafted free agent
out of Florida. He's technically I think they listen him
at linebacker, but he's more special team's ace than anything else.
So because they designated him to return, he misses the
first four weeks of the season, and then he will
make the roster, or he's expected to anyway be on
the fifty three man roster when he gets back. Byron Coward,

(03:45):
if you're placed on IR with no designation to return
at this point before you know as the fifty three
man roster is being submitted, he's out for the year.
So I don't know what this ankle injury was, but
nonetheless he's gone. And my reaction to that is saying, God,
Darren Moojie traded for those two guys last week. Now,
it was a surprise to us on the outside, and

(04:07):
maybe to you as you're just seeing this news now
if you weren't paying attention last night at Byron Cowart's
out for the season. So it wasn't a surprise to them.
I'm sure the Jets knew all this information when he
was heard, but it's a surprised to us. We're like, oh,
oh god, oh wow. Fans, media analysts, everything, We're all like,
oh boy, this was supposed to be the starter. Now
I'm not saying it would have been a great starter.

(04:28):
I mean this is The Jets were Byron Coward's seventh
team in the NFL for the last five years. Seventh
different team was supposed to be hardly knew yea Byron
Coward and now the Jets of Harrison Phillips, who I
feel a lot better about, just a proven veteran better
around the block has started, you know whatever. It is

(04:48):
seventy one straight games across three season, so like, I
feel really good. Jown Briggs is a kid with upside,
so sure why not. But yeah, Byron Coward out for
the season. I have no idea what the ankle injury was,
but just thank god the Jets reinforced the defensive tackle
position because who could have been a situation could have

(05:11):
spent it could have been a situation. All right, let's
go through a lot of things here. Like I said,
it's overwhelming. So there's a Byron Carrett news. That's disappointing
for Byron Coward that he's already now out for the season.
That sort of sucks. But there is a chance if
he and the team reaches some sort of an injury
settlement and his injury isn't actually season ending, he would
have the opportunity to go join another team, So we'll

(05:31):
see if that does indeed happen. At this point of
the initial fifty three man roster that had not taken place,
injury settlements had been reached with. Who did we have here?
Jerious Munroe was waived with an injury settlement and Ryan
Cooper Ryan Bump Cooper also received an injury settlement from
the team. So there you go. But not the case

(05:54):
for the others. Oh yeah, other news, Irvin Charles was
placed on the reserve physically unable to formless. Not surprising
that was expected from that standpoint. So we'll see whenever
we're going to see Irv Charles, Irvan Charles. All right,
we got two hundred people in the room, like the video
hit subscriber, appreciate you guys. Uh, there's just like I said,

(06:17):
so many directions we can go with this roster and
with waivers and everything else. Let's let's go through this. Uh.
Dave Briggers said, once move you made those DT moves,
Coward was Coward was toasted. I disagree, Dave Briger. I
think Byron Coward had every chance to make this roster
even with those guys. That's how highly the Jets thought
of him. But again, obviously what we did not know

(06:39):
is the injury, how serious it was that made him toast.
From that perspective is that he was art and already toast,
and we didn't realize he was toasted. But on he
wouldn't have made the roster. I disagree. Let's see uh
Fox Sports talk notes. So we have a lot of
offensive lineman. Yes, ten offensive linemen made the initial fifty

(07:00):
three man roster for the New York Jets. This is true.
Ten of them didmm. Yeah, I don't have the full
list here in a second. I'll give it to you
guys in a moment, but yes, I have the number. Though,
ten offensive linemen made it for the New York Jets.
They had ten. The Jets sort of set this up

(07:23):
a little bit differently on their website, but yes, a
ten offensive linemen ended up making it for the New
York Jets. We'll list them here momentarily, but yes, ten
ended up making it. So maybe there's a move to
be had here. The one that was the surprisingly markis
Hayes cracked the initial fifty three. So but again it's

(07:45):
important to continue to reiterate initial initial initial fifty three
waiver claims come up in four hours and twenty minutes,
which means the Jets and every other team in the
NFL scouring the waiver wire. Let's have the seventh overall
pick in the waiver wire. It's not your like your
fancy football draft. If the Jets, let's say they pick

(08:08):
up a quarterback with a seventh overall pick waiver wire,
they don't go to the back of the line. They
keep that seventh overall pick. And this is what I
did not know. So hey see, you learned something every day.
The seventh overall pick waiver wire I thought was good
until Week one of the season. As a matter of fact,
it's good all the way through Week four of the season.
So the Jets will have this unique advantage from a

(08:29):
waiver wire perspective. So even if the Jets were four
and oh, they would still hold the seventh overall pick
waiver wire party up until that week. So that's interesting.
So I learned a lot from the Jets press release
that came out, whether rule changes or things I just
didn't know. So yeah, there could be another move to
be had there. So markis Hayes, Jeremy Rucker, Xavier Gibson,

(08:51):
there's a few of these guys that made the roster
that may not actually make the roster. We'll see what happens.
But claims start at noon. Okay, let's continue to answer
all of your guys' questions and comments here. Uh yeah,
I was surprised about Xavier Gibson. I don't really understand
that one. It's bizarre. I don't know he's injured, and

(09:18):
I thought straight up that Jamal Pritchett beat him. I
thought he beat him as a receiver. I thought he
beat him as a returner. Now here's the again, we
only know what we know, right, So let me go
to all Yanks comment here. I'll throw this up. I'm
still confused how Gibson made it over Pritch. It something
I was unaware of because I'm not at every practice.

(09:38):
Is Zach Rosenblat said that Jamal Pritchett had a lot
of muffing issues at practice. If that's true, and then
he saw it in the game. That adds a little
bit of context to the situation. Now, the muff that
Jamal Pritchett had in the game, he was able to recover,
but still it was a mistake and you need someone
who's reliable. And apparently Zach Roseblie has listened to his

(09:59):
flight Plan podcast last night breaking down the initial fifty three,
he said reliability was a big factor. So again, just
because Javier Gibson made it now does not mean he
will make it in a couple hours. But that's what
he seemed to indicate. So Pritchett, Jamal Pritchett, the former
south An Alabama wide receiver, is subject to waivers. If

(10:20):
he's claimed, the Jets lose him. If he does not
get claimed, there's a chance he could return on the
practice squad. So yeah, okay, let me see, because like
I said, there's so much to get to with this.
Troy Sturgis, do do you know what kind of settlement
do they receive? Just curious? No, that's not public information,

(10:40):
so I do not know. I don't know, and that's
not readily available in general, that information. But I'm sure
you can look up maybe past cases on Google and
see what people get. I'm not sure. Let's go to
Jabe here talked about him who made it in your
thoughts by position? Okay, let's see. Let's go through the roster.

(11:02):
So on this other page, I'll pull up the New
York Jets roster because I have all the positions here,
all right. So well, let's let's go all the way
through this thing, all right. I'll organize it by position
here on the roster, all right. So we'll start off
with QBS. Let's go to QB. So the Jets only
have two quarterbacks on the roster right now. It's Justin
Fields and Tyrod Taylor. Justin Fields is twenty six. Tyrod

(11:25):
Taylor is thirty six. Now the question is this, Obviously
the Jets are going to have a quarterback on the
practice squad. But as I wrote about yesterday, I wrote
several articles yesterday, Sue. If you guys want to get
caught up on a lot of my thoughts heavy on Jets,
I've got. I wrote four or five articles last night
and a couple of angles from this fifty three man roster.

(11:47):
The Jets waved Andrew Martinez this week, and they waved
Brady Cook. So the only two quarterbacks have on the
team is Fields and Tyrod Taylor. Obviously, a QB three
will be on the practice squad if not the fifty
three man roster. If a waiver claim happens today, Tommy DeVito.
We'll see if that happens. Kyle McCord, perhaps we'll see
if that happens. Mike White is a vested veteran, so

(12:09):
he does not have to be claimed. He is can
immediately sign with a new team. But what do they
want at quarterback? Because I think that's an important question.
Are the Jets looking for a quarterback that in a pinch,
injuries destroy the room and they need someone to step
up and just deliver right now? Maybe Mike White or
Tommy DeVito is the answer to that question. They have
starting experience, they could fit the bill. If you're just

(12:33):
looking for a developmental, hey, let's just sort of have
someone here to sort of have an experiment with. Kyle
McCord or a rookie quarterback of your choice, Brady Cook
if you want to bring it back, or Kyle mccordor whoever.
That's the answer to the question. So if you're trying
to develop somebody, that's one answer. If you're just trying
to get the best possible person that can step up

(12:53):
right now, that might not be Kyle McCord. I think
he's ready already from everything I saw on Turkeys. But
you know that that's up to the to the gods.
But in the same way that Agrian Martinez has overthrown
a pass in a regular season game. Brady Cook has
never thrown a regular season passing game. But obviously McCord
has a he's a rookie, so quarterback wise, not that

(13:17):
I'm surprised, but like, okay, now, today's an important day
to see as they're coming through the quarterbacks available, let's go.
We'll go running back next year. So the four guys
we thought made it made it. That is bringing out
in Isaiah Davis, Breesh Hall, Canay, and Guano. I thought,
and Guano was a lock. He makes a team special
teams eight, returner extraordinaire gunner, and then the other three

(13:40):
were locked. So there you go at running back. Let's
go to wide receiver, and you had six guys make it.
Xavier Gibson, Tyler Johnson, Alan Lazard, Josh Reynolds, Arian Smith,
and Garrett Wilson. Those are the six receivers that made
it on the list, And technically er of Charles is
on the pup list, so he's not counting towards the
fifty three. He would technically be another receiver in this

(14:02):
group to make it seven, but it's really six at
this point.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
I mean they didn't keep any of the young guys,
so I know that's what Jet fans are pissed off
a lot about. In the comments section, if you go
through Brandon Smith's, Quentin Skinner's, Jamal Pritchett's all the young guys,
we were like, googo, god guy, and then a whole
lot of nothing. So that one, to me, was an
interesting decision. They're going to try to say if they

(14:28):
could pass them through waivers, will they We're all going
to find out together if that could happen from a
wide receiver perspective. Let's go over to tight End on
the New York Jets roster. Okay, they kept three. You
have Jeremy Ruckert, Stone Smart and Mason Taylor and then
technically Andrew Beck for whatever you want to call him,
full back, tight end whatever. The player to watch today

(14:52):
to me is Jeremy Ruckert is his job safe today
because waivers come up in four hours and change. If
you're watching this show live right now, which by the way,
if you are, we have four hundred people in the room.
Like the video, hit subscribe here on YouTube. That's YouTube
dot com slash Boy Green two five. We're getting closer
and closer eight thousand subscribers. Baby, help us get there,

(15:14):
Help us get there. Out in the university talk Jets
every day, So hopefully you enjoy the show. So tight
end obviously you go to that part of the conversation.
I think Jeremy Ruckerts should very much be on watch.
One hundred percent should be on watch. But that's just
my opinion. I think there are more guys to come,
all right. A bunch of the offensive linemen oulu Fashionu,

(15:37):
Max Mitchell, Xavier Newman, Chuck Wooma Okora for John Simpson
are some of the offensive linemen that made it for
the New York Jets. No real surprises there. Max Mitchell
sort of won that swing tackle job over Carter Warren.
That's why he is still here. Again the surprises. Marquise Hayes,
the interior offensive linement six foot five, three hundred and

(15:58):
eighteen pounds out Oklahoma. He made the initial so maybe
he's someone to watch that doesn't stick around. We don't know.
Abt obviously is another one that made this group as well.
Ten offensive linemen in total made this roster for the
New York Jets. The two centers obviously, Josh Myers and
Joe Tipman both made it as well. The Jets have centers, guards, tackles,

(16:19):
and overall generic offensive linemen listed on the roster, so
armand Membu obviously made the team, so they have ten.
Is there something coming, as Fox Sports Talks speculated earlier,
that's another possibility. From that perspective, Let's go to the
defensive lineman here for the New York Jets. Let's go

(16:39):
to the defensive lineman, and the Jets ended up keeping
ten defensive linemen. We're back in the Solidays here. The
defensive lineman that made it, Tyler Barn their rookie, and
he showed a whole lot of nothing, but he was
a draft pick, so he sort of has a scholarship there.
Juwan Briggs, Michael Clemens, Harrison Phillips, Leonard Taylor the third
LT three. It was a little, you know, a little

(17:01):
on the worry is he gonna make it? He made it.
JQ Feley, Quinnin Williams, will McDonald, Braden McGregor, Jermaine Johnson.
Braden McGregor is another one one of the UDIA face
from last year. So Eric Watts got eliminated. He got
voted off the island. But Braden McGregor made it and
he is high in the rotation pass rusher again, another
thing to watch for waivers today. I would say that

(17:22):
let's go over to linebacker. I'll tell you a surprise,
Zaire Barnes. He has made this roster very interesting. Francisco Mawingoa,
the rookie linebacker at the Miami Marcelna McCrary ball, Jamie Sherwood,
Quincy Williams, and so yeah, there you go, beautiful, unbelievable
here on the team. And Zire Barnes, like I said

(17:46):
to mention him off the top, he was a surprise
name that made it. But there you go. Just feel
good about that group. Let me go over to so
five linebackers made it, and I'll combine the corners in safeties.
Nine defensive backs ended up making it for the New
York Jets. On the back end of the defense, here
we had MC two of course, Sas Gardner, Isaiah Oliver,

(18:09):
Brandon Stevens, Quantest Diggers, azari A Thomas Malachi Moore, and
then obviously you have all of your safeties that are
there as well. The straight up safeties on the roster,
guys like obviously Andre Cisco, Tony Adams. Those guys also
made the team. And I know Jerk Bernard convererce Pour

(18:29):
went out. A few people were sort of sad about
that one. I can understand. And obviously your special teams.
Thomas Hennessy is the longest tenured player on this football team.
Austin McNamara had a great camp, and Nick Folk is
Nick Folk, baby Folk hero. Need I say more? So
there you go, Jay boy. I wasn't gonna do it
like that, but boom, there's my full sort of analysis
on the roster again. I think Jet should be looking

(18:52):
at wide receiver, JET should be looking at pass rusher,
Jet should be looking at tight end. I would even
sort of ex for safety personally, to see what else
is out there. But those are a couple of positions
in terms of waiver wire that I would be taken
a gander at.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
All.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Right, let's keep going through your questions and comments. Alon
says Tyler barn is not a rosterable guy. Jets disagree, obviously.
You know, and Andrew Barry said this about the Cleveland
Browns roster he've used the last five spots and a
roster you know, like forty eight, forty ninety three as
developmental and he doesn't care what positions they are. They're

(19:34):
just developmental and they're committed to that. And maybe the
Jets feel the same way. We'll see, but yeah, he's
a rookie, and gms like keeping their draft picks, so
that doesn't That really didn't surprise me. He's on scholarship.

(19:56):
Alansa's Patriots kept eight wide receivers in the initial fifty three. Hilarious.
The wide receiver suck. But that's okay, that's right, man,
Different folks. Michael Russo says, Jeremy ruckerds Mason Terry's backup
in case he gets hurt. I hope not. That's not

(20:17):
the line of defense I want to go to. Jeremy
Ruckert has been terrible, unfortunately. Alon says edge is the
biggest issue on this team. You're banking on one edge
coming off Anichillies of one who has never played all
three downs. Yeah, and then your third edge is Michael Hummets.
They just need more help at edge. Rusher So, I

(20:38):
really hope that the Jets do their homework on what
is available. Jared b. Paul. Any notable cuts that are
out there we would like the Jets to sign. So
let me throw a couple out there. Let me throw
a couple. I appreciate the question. Jared B. Again, waivers

(21:01):
are at noon today here on Wednesday, August twenty seventh.
I would say Greg Dolcic. He was cut by the
New York Giants. He led them in touchdowns during the preseason.
He'd be an interesting grab for the New York Jets.
I'll be writing a piece about him that'll come out
shortly after boy Green Daily. I've heard a lot about
Trey Palmer, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver. He's another

(21:25):
one that has drawn some interest from across the league
obviously quarterbacks, quarterbacks, quarterbacks, quarterbacks as well. And I saw
this late last night. This is interesting. I missed this
in the middle of all the news. One of the
other names the Jets were going to be circling is
Tim Patrick. He got traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Interesting,

(21:50):
so that was a receiver of the Jets were targeting
and targeting twice. As a matter of fact, they're targeting
him back in March, and they were targeting them once again.
The Jaguars acquired Tim Patrick or to Carey with the
Lions on Wednesday morning port per source. It doesn't look
like the details of that trader are available on NFL
dot Com, but there you go. So Tim Patrick would

(22:12):
have been a name that the Jets would have pursued
for sure. Let me see here. So quarterbacks, obviously, let
me obviously address that real quick. Again. We've talked about
a lot of them here on the show. It depends
on your flavor. I'm a Tommy de Vito guy. I
like Kyle McCord. Mike White, maybe I don't know if

(22:34):
he would ever come back here, but Mike White, those
are a couple of the quarterbacks to sort of ponder obviously.
Like I said, I'm not completely rolling out the return
of an Adrian Martinez or a Brady Cook on the
practice squad, but that would make sense. I think they're
pretty set. Like running back. Wide receivers are always you know,

(22:58):
names to watch there from that perspective, and NFL dot
Com as a cut tracker here of team by team
and all the players that became available here of different guys.
If you're a kJ Hamler fan out there or Laviska
Chanalt Junior. If you're looking for a Gadget wide receiver,

(23:19):
the Bills got rid of him. Tarik Black It could
be another name, but he's not one that resume engine.
I definitely don't want to be sorting through the New
England Patriots wide receiver bucket jaheem Mel. That's the Patriots
tight end they released Ricky. New York brought him up
the other day. Obviously, that one could certainly make some

(23:40):
sense for the New York Jets for sure. Let me
see who else do we get out there. I brought
up a couple of these already, but past again, pass rusher,
pass rusher, pass rusher. You should be looking at a
couple of those as well for the New York Jets.

(24:02):
Let me see Cleveland coming over there as well. Yeah,
I don't want let me just make this, Claire, I
don't want any part of Deontay Johnson. That guy there
is all kinds of weird happening there. Julian o'quara from
the Cleveland Browns. There you go, there's a little defensive
end action which could be happening. Sure, why not? That's
always interesting. Potter Long and his sources brought up the

(24:28):
Jelawnie Woods, the Indianapolis Colts tight end. Apparently the Jets
are gonna have a lot of interest in all right
works for me, so that could be something to keep
an eye out for. Obviously, So Connor Long his sources
said that Jelannie Woods is a target for the New
York Jets at the waiver wires. So we'll keep an
eye out for that and see if anything turns on that.

(24:50):
That would be very very interesting potentially as another possibility
for the New York Jets. Again, we brought up Trey Palmer,
he was of the Tampa Bay buccaneer. That one could
certainly tickle the fancy as a potential option here for
the New York Jets. I don't know if people are
still interested in the James. Can I interest you in

(25:11):
James Prochet, the former wide receiver most recently with the
Tennessee Titans, and see if that you know, revs the
engine for anybody potentially. I know Odric Esteem, so many
people bring him up from the former Notre Dame Golden Dummer,
but I just don't see how he would fit the
Jets plan at running back. So I like the player,

(25:32):
but I just don't know if that's gonna happen, So
that's probably a no go there for people that have
asked about him in the past, I would say that
as well. Other guys I'm looking for again, as I'm
combing through every cut that happened in the National Football
League is I would say Albert l that's another possibility.

(25:54):
They want a tight end. He most recently was on
the Raiders, but obviously had connections to Darren Muchie out
there in Denver. Andre Carter, the former Army product, also
got dumped by Las Vegas. Super talented guy, just the
pieces haven't come together at the NFL level. So if
you want to take a chance on somebody that could be,

(26:15):
you know, a possibility could be could be Jalen Rager
of the Chargers. Brendan Rice, the son of Jerry Rice.
He's on this list, I guess of possibilities. Jet said
interest in him a couple of years ago, new staff
and everything. Tony Jefferson the safety. He wouldn't be subject
to waivers. He's a true, outright veteran, but that could

(26:36):
be an option at safety. I heard Connor Rogers say
that he thinks he could be like a starter or
a serious contributor immediately for the New York Jets. That
one could be of interest for sure. A couple of
Syracuse guys. My boy Justin Barron, who is a vistaile guy,
could play linebacker safety all over the place. He's one
I would watch from the or was he I think
he was with the Cowboys. Yes, he was Dallas Cowboys.

(26:59):
I've already met Tommy DeVito. He's a guy I would
sort of circle Greg Dolcich of the New York Giants
if you're just gonna, you know, sort of ravage the
pantry of the New York Giants and you want to
add some of that in. We've mentioned comic cord. I
don't think I touched et artistspite what our boy Nick
Ferrius said recently. This Terrace Marshall junior interest you at all?

(27:21):
At wide receiver from the Philadelphia Eagles, maybe, I guess
it could be another option potentially, River Craigcraft, the former
Dolphins wide receiver, most recently now with the Washington Commanders.
Lawrence Cager, our boy who was in the Washington Commanders camp.
He's bouncing around. I bring back some Lawrence Cager action, sure,

(27:44):
Cleland Farrell, the former first round draft choice. He just
hit the open market. Jalen Holmes, another former Jet. They
were in Commander's camp. There you go. I'm a big
Sheldon Day. Sheldon Day guy, former Notre Dame Golden Dummer,
some defensive tackle, although the Jets are sort of buried
at that position. Now, let me see just Chris Glazer.

(28:07):
Shout up to Chris Glazer. I don't want to back,
but he's he just got caught by the Bears. So
shut out to Chris Glazer. He was an Aaron Rodgers
favorite the Lions. Obviously. Hendon Hooker, you have to consider
him a lot of connections to the staff. Yours one
another Syracuse guy, So you guys are just gonna say
m by his But Jackson Meeks, man, he killed it
in the preseason. I don't know what more that guy
could have done, for God's sakes to make that roster.

(28:30):
So Jackson Meeks could be a fun youngster that the
Jets could claim off of waivers. Dan Skipper, the veteran
offensive linement. If the Jets want to switch out like
a Marquis says for a Dan Skipper, I could totally
see that happening as a possibility for sure, So keep
that in the mix. Let's pour one out for is
he a Bonnie Kanda me Cal Hardman? A lot of

(28:52):
former Jets got the boot. A lot of former Jets
got the boot. Don't let the door hitch your pal.
Isaiah Simmons guy, he's a linebacker safety combination. He would,
you know, be sort of interesting if there's that fit
for him on this team. I'm trying to see. I mean,
we're like going through everybody here, names, names, names, anything

(29:16):
else on this list that sort of tickles the fancy
Morgan Fox. He got cut by the Falcons there, so okay,
there's a little Morgan Fox action for anyone that hunter
to run for Again. I just don't he came off
the couch.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
I just.

Speaker 7 (29:35):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
I just don't know if I can be interested in
the name value anymore. Donovan People Jones, Donovan People's Jones
the Saints wide receiver. Maybe maybe my boy from Syracuse
for deal digs. There you go, he's another guy potentially
that you could consider. Again, we talked about Trey Palmer,
the wide receiver for the Sama Bay Buccaneers. He might

(29:58):
be a hot waiver claim potentially. I always like looking
at the teams to have really good pass rushers, to
see if there's anybody we can come through, like the Cowboy.
That's one thing I would say the Cowboys pass rushers
is one of their deepest units on the team. Michael
Carter one remember MC two, Well MC one he got
cut by the Arizona Cardinals. I have no interest, but

(30:19):
I just wanted to point that out for some reason
and throw that out in the universe. Okay, there was
there's a bunch of them. There's a bunch of them
that we went through Jared and hopefully then answered some
of it for you. We have five hundred people in
the room, like the video had subscribed to also open
up the phone lines here in just a moment, and
as our r Jet says, it is dumpster diving. I mean,
all these guys were cut, so you know, it's not

(30:41):
like there's pro bowlers flying all over the place over here.
But you know, uh yeah, sure, but you're talking about
Xavier Estrepo. What I heard from Tennessee Titans people is
he just didn't get a lot of opportunities, so he
sort of fell down the patting order. So to speak, So, yeah,
that could be an chat wide receiver. Sure, the former

(31:01):
Miami kid. He was a favorite of cam Ward. Chad Muma,
that's a good one, Ron Weiss, I like that Chad Muma,
the Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker. The Jets were interested in him
a couple of years ago. We could use another linebacker. Sure,
I like that name Pull. I like that name Poll.
That's a very good name. Poll there. Yeah, Cleland and Farrell.

(31:24):
Sure that could make sense as a former first rounder.
I don't know what he has left in the tank.
But Alon says with renfro Cut, I see Adam Thielen
staying on staying, So I can see me in Minnesota
going hard after Peers. You could also go hard after
Oh my god, his name escapes me. It's not kJ
Hamler kJ Osborne. He's a former Vikings guy that knows

(31:44):
the system. He just got cut. So kJ Osborne could
end up in Minnesota. MFC says rather have Mike White
than Devidos. See there you go. Sure, it also takes
two to tango. I don't know if Mike White's I
want to come back here, So that'll be another conversation
that I don't know gabrig is saying Paul Riger's trash

(32:07):
O dit sure, Oh I agree again. I'm not saying
these names I'm saying are great. I'm just like, hey,
here's the name. Hey, here's the name. If it's a
name I'm really intrigued by, I'll let you know. But yeah,
Jalen Rager is not one that really intrigues me. I
just noticed the name as though with scrolling to try
to give you guys some opportunities here. So why don't
we do this. We have five hundred people in the room.
Let's open it up to the phone lines. Let's go.

(32:29):
Let's do it, and uh, let's make some noise. We'll
play a quick haf time out. Then your phone calls.
If you'd like to call in, hop on over to YouTube.

Boy Green? I'm the New York Jets digital reporter for
Heavy dot com. Welcome to Boy Green Daily. If you're
just joining us again. My name is Paul Asden Jr.
And we're talking about the top targets for the Jets
on the waiver wire today, which again is at eight o'clock.
It's less than four hours away. We'll have a few
articles out about some targets I'm circling that'll come out

(33:54):
on Heavy on Jets over the coming hours here and
all that and more. Make sure you guys like the
video hit subscriber, appreciate you Again. We're trying to make
a chase to eight thousand subs. A baby, help us
get there. All right, let's do this. Let's go to
the phone lines. We start off as always with that baby.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Hey, Paul, you know I'm an old timer, so the
early bird gets the worm, you know.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Yeah, Baby, I did see that I would you like Palmer.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
I think that Tampa Bay has a strong wide receiving group,
so that might that might be something. And I think
there's a Notre Jame player who is the sac leader,
who's a rookie who was just released.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Do you know about that guy, Isaiah Fosky. That is true.
I love Isaiah, loved him coming out. Super talented guy.
You know, for some reason, it hasn't worked at the
NFL level, but obviously the talent's there. So I trust
AG a lot. And he has said this before, hep
if he if the player in question has shown it

(34:54):
on tape before, then he knows he can do it again. Fosky.
Obviously with the statistic you just provided, and Notre Dame
a pretty prestigious university that's had a lot of really
good players, So for him to have shown that on
tape previously, I definitely think that's worth a roundhouse kick
to the tires, that's for sure. So yeah, Fosk, baby, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Okay, I just wanted to I know there's probably a
lot of people trying to jump on so I just
want to do that quick one.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Okay, appreciate it. Thank you, he so much. Isaiah Foski. Yeah,
here's a little bit more info and then we'll go
back to the phone lines. Here on old Isaiah Foski.
Super talented guys, twenty four years of age. Isaiah Ulysses Fosky.
What a great name he was. He's twenty four. He
was born in the year two thousand, which definitely makes

(35:43):
me feel old. Six foot five, two undred seventy pounds,
I mean, oh boy. He was a top forty pick
in the twenty twenty three NFL Draft. It didn't work
with the Saints. But the town is there, The talent
is there, the town is there. I saw it in college, man.
The town's there now, all Malachi Corley. Obviously, people can
be all kinds of talented and not work out. It

(36:04):
happens every day. But he may be one worth doing it.
And that's what you sort of have to filter. Right
you're on the beach with your kids, have that little
sand filter. You're throwing a bunch of sandy. You're just
is there anything in here? Well, that's what the Jets
are doing right now. They're coming through the roster seeing
if there's anything they can find. As they're shifting through

(36:26):
all the Garbagio that's happening here. Yeah, I know Jets
wad wide in the year two thousand, that is that
is wild. But when I speak do these college things,
and then I'm getting kids going, yeah, I was born
in two thousand and seven or something. I'm like, oh God,
jeesus or whatever. These years are like all the time.
I'm getting these like two thousand and eight, and I'm like, oh,

(36:49):
dear God. I'm like, I remember the two thousand and
eight Jets season. Do you peal? And then I just
have to go back to whatever you're supposed to be
talking about. But that's neither here nor there. Let's get
back to the phone lunch. Dave Riga, he's here on
the show. What's up, Dave, Hey, Paul, good morning.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
How are you.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Yeah, I'm Jude Wild, thank you. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (37:08):
Well, it's kind of disturbing to see if we've come
this far along through training camp and now we come
down we have you know, we have Garrett Wilson in
the wide receiver room. We have basically a rookie tight end. Uh,
we have defensive ends. They are not three down players.

(37:28):
I mean, we're you know, this is not a good situation.
Now you're calling the waiver wires for players. I mean,
this is you know, I mean, this just goes to
show you. I mean this team that you know, the
players on the team are lacking, and this is pretty
much what they're telling you is this is pretty much
a rebuild. You're not going anywhere with the you know,

(37:51):
you're not gonna be able to generate a pass rush
unless you know Jermaine Johnson is able to play more
than one down McGregor.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
They're counting on him for a pass rush. He's a
one down player.

Speaker 8 (38:03):
I mean, Michael Clemens, I mean, the man has no
instincts and he has no discipline.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
I mean, I mean this isn't This is not good.

Speaker 8 (38:12):
You have one receiver in the white you know, in
our room, basically Smith, a developing player. I mean, I'm
not trying to downcap, you know, bring you know, not
to have optimism, but this is not good. You're calling
the way. You know, they retained Gibson, they retain Rutger.
Two players there from the former Rep. Giam that they
have done nothing. Gibson has terrible hands. He has nine

(38:35):
mumps and fumbles over his career.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
I mean, you know, I mean you can't.

Speaker 8 (38:40):
I mean this can't be for real, I mean really honestly,
I mean, what's your opinion it is? I mean, I know,
I mean he can't just say records a blocker. I
mean just the man is not an NFL player. He's
not an NFL player.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Yeah, yeah, records better shitty blocker and a receiver for
that matter. He was supposed to be at least a
good blocker, and that has not happened at the NFL level.
I would say, obviously, I share the same concerns with
you at defensive end to trust one guy on one
side is coming off with torny a chilles and another
guy who, again to the three down point, he has
improved and consistently. That's Will McDonald, whether or not he

(39:14):
can help out and run defense on a consistent basis.
So I am concerned about the overall depth and if
either of those guys gets hurt, oh boy, we're off
to the races. The thing that makes me feel a
little bit better is that we're not running the solid
scheme anymore. So apparently Steve Wilkes is going to be
blitzing all to the high heaven. So if that's true,
that should help overcompensate. I hope the lack of depth

(39:35):
at defensive end. But I hope today they're looking at trades,
they're looking at everything to try to improve that group.
But as you know, Dave, we're whatever it is, twelve days,
eleven days away from the season opener for the Jets.
Your roster is sort of your roster. The things that
we're talking about right now in terms of changes are
you know, I'm rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic.

(39:55):
I mean, the ship is going where the ship is going,
regardless of what happens to We're switching fifty three, fifty two,
and fifty one today. For the most part, that's what's happening,
outside of hopefully, you know, getting rid of record and
getting someone more competent at that position. But for the
most part, it's just a lot of bottom end roster
stuff here.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
This I mean, I mean, it's just it's it's very discouraging.
I mean, to me, it is.

Speaker 8 (40:17):
I mean, I had a lot, you know, I mean
I wanted to see some younger players kept. I mean, yes,
undrafted free agents who you know, who they are, who
they are, Okay, sure, but I mean at least at.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
Least that Skinner showed you some hope.

Speaker 8 (40:31):
I mean, I mean, he'll probably get scooped up by
somebody watches see watch, it's probably yeah, you know what
I mean this is I mean, I mean I just
don't get it.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
I just don't get it.

Speaker 8 (40:42):
You're coming in trying to wipe out the old flavor
of you know, do we have with Sala and you
have to bring in some new guys to give give
us some new blood for life.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
Here.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
This gives it. I mean, he's he's made one play
his whole career. That's one play. One play.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
That's uh.

Speaker 8 (40:58):
And you know I didn't bring a McDonald into the
equation because we're depending on him.

Speaker 3 (41:03):
So he doesn't come through. We really got problems.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (41:08):
And as far as Coward concerned, I don't. I didn't
see that much with him, Paul. I mean that, you know,
go against your take, But I mean, why would they
make it those trades?

Speaker 3 (41:16):
You know?

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Yeah, why would they keep him? Yeah? I want to
clarify this on Coward. So you know, the the Beat
reporters projected him as a starter nextra Quinna. That was
Rich Samani and Zach Westbay and things of that nature.
Byron Cower was on the Jets were said to be
a seventh team and five years. So, I mean, I
don't know how good Byron Coward is or was or
was supposed to be, but we were sold to Bill A.

(41:38):
Good said, hey man, the Jets see something with this
guy that maybe no one else does. But again, I
think that sort of speaks to it. Seven teams in
five years, He's only been a full time starter once
in his career. That was one of those years with
the Patriots. I just or the Bears rather, but like,
it just not great. So I'm glad the Jets did
their business of getting Harrison Phillips and Jwan Briggs because

(42:00):
you know, Byron Cowrot didn't inspire a lot of faith.
I mean now out for the season, so, uh, his
Jet tenure ended very quickly. I mean.

Speaker 8 (42:07):
The other point is, even if they want to go
try to get a trade for wide receivers, you just
you know, we don't have enough picks.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
If the quarterback situation doesn't fall, you know, it doesn't
it failed.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
I mean, you can't be for that, right.

Speaker 8 (42:19):
You can't throw pix into the trash, can you know,
Like I mean, we've already done that. You know, we've
we're already missing draft choices for next year, the third
three and a five. Okay, so where you're going compensation?
You know, compensation picks. I mean, yeah, you may get them,
but what are they?

Speaker 1 (42:38):
Yeah? Right, but I mean yeah, but we don't know
what they're going to be. So it's hard to rely
on you.

Speaker 5 (42:42):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
I mean, I don't listen. I just hope things work out.

Speaker 8 (42:46):
But right at this point, the players that we have
under rosters, some of these guys they kept, it doesn't
make a lot of sense to me. And uh, hopefully
things turn a little bit here and they're able to
do something.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
But I don't know. I just were taking a one
game at a time, that's all. I'm just hoping.

Speaker 8 (43:03):
We'll see the first game of the season against Pittsburgh,
we'll see who we're going from there. So until then,
just all for the best, that's all we. You know,
don't like to be negative, but this is reality, right.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
I appreciate that, Dave. I appreciate that. Hey, I'm all
for reality. If people have concerns or questions about the roster,
feel free to share him you're pumped up about this,
that or the other, feel free to call in either way,
I'm good with up, down, left or right doesn't matter
to me. I just want it straight. That's what I appreciate,
just shooting straight. And I would say I've got concerns

(43:37):
at depth that tight end. While I like beck In
Stone smart, sort of an interesting dart throw, I am curious.
Oh wow, so the Tim Patrick thing, I guess that
broke this morning. Excuse me, not last night. So oh
sorry about that, folks, I knew I didn't see that
last night. So yeah, Tim Patrick no longer an option
for the New York Jets. Again, that's someone that they

(43:59):
definitefinitely would have. It's definitely someone they would have targeted. Now,
as I said in the article about the Tim Patrick stuff,
initially he wouldn't have been the robin and Garrett Wilson's batman.
Would you have been a fine guy who were throw
him in the room? System familiarity you know, Moojie Glenn

(44:21):
knows everybody Tanner rank Strand. Okay, okay, okay, it would
have been fine, but he wouldn't have been the robin
to Garrett Wilson's batman. So you know, past the Biscuits,
he's going to the Jaguars. God blessed Pow. We'll see
just by the Jaguars some other point this season. All right,
we'll see that. But you know, you know, AnyWho, let's
go back to the phone lines here. Indeed, Jets joins

(44:44):
us enters the octagon. What's up?

Speaker 9 (44:47):
Good morning? Let me ask you this, all right, do
you do you think ag is changing the culture?

Speaker 1 (44:56):
I think he's changing the culture. Yeah, I do.

Speaker 9 (45:00):
So if you believe in that, then then then then
what then the you have to also say the decisions
that they're making are in the best interest of that
he holds the best interest of the Jets and what
he wants. So if we if we have to believe
that he's changing it, then when he when he keeps
these players and he lets these players go, it's because

(45:23):
these are the players that he wants.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
And what was he good at in Detroit development?

Speaker 9 (45:30):
Yes, and and that's exactly what he did with that
with that defense, especially with the injuries that he had there,
and they were and they were still relevant. And so
when when he's taking these players and say I can
do this with this guy, maybe this other guy that
we let go is better at you know, uh, you know,

(45:50):
one or two one or two things. But what he
can do with this guy, whoever it is, is it
fits his system. And so if we believe that, you know, now,
if you don't believe AG is it's just another defensive court,
you know, if he's just another Todd Bowles, if he's
just another you know, those things, then then then so

(46:13):
be it.

Speaker 1 (46:13):
Then we've got big issues.

Speaker 9 (46:14):
But if you do believe that that AG can change
these things and and and the player, he can develop
the players, and he can get the players to do
what he wants, what he needs out of them, then
you're gonna have to say, well, you know what, Michael Clemens,
your your your your defensive end three and for for
a particular reason, we all you know, I shouldn't say

(46:35):
we all, but you know, the majority of people want
want not even want Clemens on the team. Yeah, I know,
but yet he's still the best. He's still the third
best defensive end on the team. Uh, in comparison to
what these other players did under other coaches.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
If I'm honest, he's probably when what the coin Steelers, Yeah,
we'll take the ball. And then Aaron Rodgers, this old
ass trots out on MetLife Stadium and he looks at
the defense. The defensive ends probably starting this game are
Michael Clemens and Will McDonald's. Like, maybe it is Germaine,
but there's a big chance that it's Michael Clemens.

Speaker 9 (47:15):
And and I'm okay with that, you know that that
doesn't bother me if it was anybody outside of it
in Glenn, you know, And what he could what he's
proven he can do with with with defensive with with
defensive line, with linebackers, with guys that you know, sick,
he may he may be. You know, that Detroit team

(47:37):
looked like they had nineteen twenty starters, you know, because
of because of the injuries that they had. So if
he's taking these players and say I can do this
with Clements, you know, and so what if he if
he goes out there and throws throw the punch, well
you know what he You know, I didn't get to
see the I would see what what caused the fight

(47:59):
in that one preseason game game.

Speaker 1 (48:01):
Yeah, I didn't see who initiated it. Of course, you
only see the second guy and Michael barking at the
other guys, right, we did not see did he slap
him in the face? Did he do something? Right? Because
always the second guy gets caught. We didn't see what
incensed Clemens.

Speaker 9 (48:14):
But yeah, yeah, but you know what, after that fight
they played better.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 9 (48:19):
I mean, you know, and and you know, if you're
gonna if you're gonna have somebody start a fight, if
on your team, uh, Michael Clemens is probably the guy
you want. You know, you know, you don't want sauce.
You don't want sauce, you know, get in, get into
a fight. But I'm not you know. But my point
is is if you believe in if you believe that

(48:41):
that the things that the AG is doing, then then
so be it. Uh, we've got to ride with him
and say, hey, you know we don't have People are
saying we don't have the wide receiver. Who well, you know,
we went through this a month ago when we did
the math as far as attempts, and then Ferrier did
it again this week. It said that, you know, repeat

(49:04):
repeated the exact same thing we talked about over a
month ago. Did you know how important is that wide
receiver to you know, you talk about Dylan Terry Tairman
and I had had a conversation, you know, you put
Arian Smith and Garrett Wilson on either side. Uh, you're
gonna have to hold safeties high. Okay, So that's that's

(49:26):
four guys you're gonna end up with between Garrett and
Smith or whoever the wide receiver. Two is with this
ground ground attack that we're going to have between fields
as legs and everything, that leaves seven guys to get
four yards. I mean, that's that's in essence, that's all

(49:47):
you want per place, four yards, you know, three and
a half. Uh, you know this offensive line can give
you three and a half four yards every play. Keep
the defense, Keep our defense off the field. That's our
biggest that's always been our biggest problem is is wearing
out the defense because we're doing nothing but three and outs,
three and outs and within a minute we're back on

(50:09):
the field again.

Speaker 4 (50:11):
The running game will.

Speaker 9 (50:12):
Keep our defense fresh. And so you know, we got
to believe in what age, you know, until he until
proven otherwise. And we do this every we do this
every new coaching regime. You know, we gave we gave
Salah the benefit of the doubt. He had horrible quarter
you know, they picked a horrible quarterback. I don't know why.

Speaker 4 (50:34):
I still don't.

Speaker 9 (50:35):
I still don't understand the Zach Wilson pick, but that's
that's neither hearing her there. But you know his defense
was he what he did well was was run that defense.
So hopefully we could sit there and turn this around
and get that three four yards per carry, uh twenty

(50:58):
twenty five passes a game, and and and stay relevant
in every game. And that's all we're looking for right now.
You know, we don't want another Aaron Rodgers led Buffalo
game where we get bown out by by You know,
this is Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and we get absolutely demolished.
You know, I don't see that this year. I don't

(51:19):
think Aaron Glenn's team will will will give us that letdown.
I hope now you know they're going to fight every
so you know that's my point is, you know, we
can fight over who's the wide receiver to or defensive
end or you know, we're all sitting here talking about
the third string quarterback. I really don't care if they

(51:40):
bring Martinez or Cook or or whoever the guys on
the practice squad most likely, and if we get to
the point where our third string quarterback is because feels
is hurt, Ty Rod's hurt doesn't matter. No, seriously, though,
does it really matter who that third string guy is?

(52:02):
You could, you know, bring the best third string quarterback
off of all thirty two teams and bring it to
the Jets. Does it really matter? Probably not at that point.
So you know, we talk about that. You know, we
I realized the games haven't started yet, and we haven't.
We don't have a lot to talk about other than
the extreme depth. You know, if Bryce Hall was our

(52:27):
only running back and we had no idea who RB
two was, okay, but you know we're sitting here talking.
We've had conversations about who the RB four was.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
We did, yes, yeah, very heated, you know, and it's
and it's really not.

Speaker 9 (52:42):
Those aren't game changing, you know, game changing people, and
so we've got to rely on these starters to say, Hey,
everybody had a down year last year. I mean the
entire team except for jam In Sherwood I think was
probably about the only one that had a a a
positive year for sure.

Speaker 1 (53:02):
Yeah, he definitely had a career year.

Speaker 9 (53:04):
So outside of that, everybody else had a down year.
If he even if ag just brings everybody up to
a normal year that they've had a saucess normal year,
you know, breeze catching you know, sixty balls out of
the backfield and running for one thousand yards. That's them

(53:28):
a lot better than what we had under Salah.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
So you know, I have another salute I'll give to Garrett.
I believe he did set career highs in the catches,
yards and touchdowns. But to the point of that, it
wasn't the numbers we all expected, like they were career
numbers good for Garrett, but they we thought he was
going to go from here to here, and unfortunately, for
a variety of reasons, obviously that didn't happen. But right
to your point, you think about the fifty three guys, Jamian, Garrett,

(53:57):
some of Quincy like a boy, but it was it
was a lot of bad though.

Speaker 9 (54:00):
Yeah, and even Garrett, even Garrett's career numbers, I mean,
he caught what one more ball than he did, you know,
it's not like he had, you know, twenty five or thirty.

Speaker 4 (54:10):
He had probably the.

Speaker 1 (54:10):
Only touchdowns, right, So we had seven last year and
even seven combined for the first two years, so that
was aable number probably.

Speaker 9 (54:18):
Yeah, And again it goes back to the horrible quarterbacks
that we've had, yeah, you know, and so we just
don't have you know, hopefully, uh, you know, Garrett'll get
another seven to ten touchdowns this year. That's that's that's
kind of what we're shooting for. But my point is
is all this, if if we believe in a g
and say, hey, everything that he's said and done so far,

(54:42):
you know, there's a lot of rarah when we get
a new coach. Uh, that's we do it every year.
That's just welcome to being a Jets fan. You know,
we get a new coach every four years, so the
first year is always a ra ra year. And but
if we if we believe in if if we believe
in what age it can do, and what he's done

(55:03):
in the past and what he's what he says he's doing. Uh,
you know, these players are going to step up. And
you know, there's a lot of people that still are
still are at six wins and you know, and that's
that's that's that's fine. There's those are the same people
that said thirteen fourteen wins under Rogers. So you know,

(55:25):
we're gonna we just need to get this damn season started,
get this Pittsburgh game out of the way. Walk you know,
walk out of met life with with one win, and
and and we go to bath you know, and then
we go to Buffalo and we go against Buffalo and
and and there you go. So that's my you know,
I don't really care, but put it on your put

(55:47):
it on your calendar. Arion Smith will be wide receiver
two oh and fighting for wide receiver one B. I've
said it, you know, towards the end of the year, Garrett.
You know, if you look at what they did with Detroit,
you know, you've got one one burner on the outside

(56:09):
and and a and a really good route runner in in.

Speaker 4 (56:15):
St. Brown.

Speaker 9 (56:17):
Well, Sat Brown and and Garrett are are pretty similar.
And Williams and Aaron Smith are very similar. One was
a fourth round pick, one was a first round pick.
I'm pretty sure that's what we have, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
Yeah, Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 9 (56:39):
Yeah, So you know, there you go. That's that's that's
all I That's that's all I had. Is if we
if we believe in a g then just you know,
instead of knocking this team down and worrying about who
are you know, fourth running back is who the third court?
I don't really care, you know, at that point, if
it gets to those guys. Uh, you know, yeah, we're
gonna only win six games, five games, and that's with

(57:03):
every team. So you keep our starters out there. And
that's the key here is if we stay healthy. You know,
I still think that this is a ten plus win season.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
Well, that would be great. I appreciate you man a
lot to unpacked there. I would say a couple of
things here here, here are the first two things. Here's
the first two things. So we'll go back to the
phone lights year we need. We're gonna we can all argue, ah,
you know, this fifth receiver they should have kept a geez,
this fourth sight end they should have kept. They did this,
They did this, they did this. We need to admit

(57:39):
one thing right off the bat, that is one hundred
percent true. Aaron Glenn and the Jets have more information
than we do as fans. Right They're at the practices,
they're at the games, they're in practice, they're behind the scenes.
They have the most information on these decisions possible. We
as fans do not have the most information. That's okay.

(58:02):
I'm not saying our opinions and everything are irrelevant. I'm
just saying they have the most information so as Aaron
Glenn picks in this random case, Xavier gives it over
Jamal Pritchet. Do I agree with the decision? Absolutely not.
But Aaron Glenn is the most information and he hasn't
done anything to me where I'm like, I don't trust

(58:23):
this guy, So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
He has the most information on this and hopefully he
knows something better than me on the Xavier Gibs and things.
I just that one I just don't understand. So I
don't love it. But that's what this is all about.
We can all share our opinions on this matter. I'll

(58:44):

let's go to the phone lines here, easy babies, on
the show, what's up, Easy? I have a trade proposal,
trade proposal, let's go. I love trades. Let's go.

Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
Breese Hall and a sixth for MICHAEH. Parsons.

Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
Okay, that sounds great to me.

Speaker 4 (01:00:29):
Apparently MICHAEH. Parsons has deleted everything cowboy on his social media.
He's done.

Speaker 10 (01:00:36):
He wants out badly, Okay, like really bad. And I
think Michael Parsons on the Jets. Imagine him starting against
Will McDonald instead of.

Speaker 7 (01:00:50):
You know what, instead of God Johnson, it's Michael Clements.

Speaker 4 (01:01:01):
Yeah, MICHAEH.

Speaker 10 (01:01:02):
Parsons instead of Michael Clemens on that offense, on that
defensive line, starting until UH.

Speaker 4 (01:01:13):
Has more time to heal.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Come ony? Who says? Who says? Who says no? Jet's
get MICHAEH. Parsons, Dallas Cowboys get where you saw a
six trap pick? Who says no? H?

Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
I can't think anyone who would say no to that.
Yeah to pay.

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
Him, Yeah, sure we do. I'll pay him, no problem.

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
I mean at least you know it's we're giving.

Speaker 10 (01:01:41):
We're giving our number one running back for their number
one edge.

Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
That totally depends to me.

Speaker 4 (01:01:50):
Okay, I mean you really agree with that? You like
that trade?

Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
Helly? Do I like that trade? As mister Chet's guy.
Hell yeah, I love that trade. I'm all about it.

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
Maybe Yeah, you think Dallas would want that trade?

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
Absolutely not. No, there's zero chance said that whatsoever? I
I don't think so. Now they may be interested, breeze all.
But but a sixth round picked? Is that what I heard? Sixth?

Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
Would they a starting point?

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
Oh? Start negotiation? Okay, okay, okay, so okay.

Speaker 4 (01:02:18):
Let's do that.

Speaker 10 (01:02:19):
I mean I would I would think that that bris
and a third, But we don't have a third.

Speaker 1 (01:02:24):
Oh that's true, So a sixth instead? That makes no?
Yeah you know what? Yes, yes, screw the count.

Speaker 10 (01:02:31):
They might counter with it. They might counter with a fourth.
Oh okay, but what do you what do you think?

Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
I mean? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
Easy as you've as you have said a lot of
times on the show, that you throw ideas out there
that we can chew on, and I think that's really cool.
So for me, I would love to make a move
for Micah Bleeping Parsons. That would be a lot of fun.
And by the way, quick shout out to our number
one Austrian jet fan, maybe gifting a boy green Coffee
Club membership. Appreciate you.

Speaker 10 (01:03:03):
Think, think of all the opportunities Micah Parsons could have
and with the New York media and with endorsements and
all that podcast you know, coming to New York yep
it I think he wouldn't. I don't think he would
be against it. Getting to be in the big Apple
and the media center of the of the universe.

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
Come on, it could take his career to another level,
another level. I like it.

Speaker 10 (01:03:29):
Yeah, he'd be in every he could do like, you know,
commercials for Bounty, he'd be in every woman's you know,
kitchen on on the little kitchen TVs and whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
Plus he's a great player.

Speaker 10 (01:03:43):
I just think it would be a good I think
it would be a good if he wants out of Dallas.

Speaker 4 (01:03:47):
He doesn't want anything to do with them.

Speaker 10 (01:03:48):
He's just sitting there at practice pretending he's got a
bad back right now.

Speaker 4 (01:03:53):
He doesn't want anything to do with them.

Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
Apparently, though, that's where things are about to get interesting,
right so Michael arches like, oh, my back, and the
Cowboy's like, all right, let's do a medical scan. Uh
scan came back clean. Yeah, still my back. And then
Brian Schottenheimer came out this week Yeah right, and Seat
and Irack came out this week and said, uh, we're

(01:04:15):
comfortable playing him. He's healthy. Like so now that the
Cowboys would push that ship into the table, I'm very
curious where we go next because Micah back hurt Cowboy
scan and they're like, you're good to go. He's like, no,
I'm not. My back still hurts it stiff or whatever
he said. And Shan Himer's like, well, you're good to go.
We know you're good to go, so figure it out. Pal.

(01:04:36):
So'm again, what happens next in this potential NFL NFLPA war.
Uh that would be fascinating. Yeah, we'll have to see.

Speaker 4 (01:04:44):
I know this is it's a crazy situation. Very well.

Speaker 10 (01:04:49):
I mean, when you want when you tell your team
you want out, and you want out that bad and
you're faking injuries and you're deleting every social media thing
that has anything to do with Cowboys, I mean that
pretty much means that he's going somewhere, if not this year,
next year. But he don't want he don't, he'll sit out.
I think he's the type of guy that will sit out.

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
Yeah, I think so too.

Speaker 10 (01:05:09):
So I think he's that pissed off at Jerry Jones
for being at every practice and never having the cajones
to walk up to him and put his arm around
him and say, Mike, Micah, let's go upstairs and try
to hash this out, just me and you, and.

Speaker 4 (01:05:23):
He won't do it. So I so really easy.

Speaker 1 (01:05:26):
You're providing a lifeline to the Cowboys. The cowboys are
like help, and You're like, hey, here you go, breeche
all trade, We'll help you. We'll bring you to shore.

Speaker 10 (01:05:36):
I like it, yeah, because I really think our other
backs can handle handle it if.

Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
I I'll tell you this easy. I did it in Madden.
I had Breeseau early in the season and I was
considering extending him and then he fumbled like five times,
and I'm like, you're out of here. Traded his ass
made brailing out the number one guy his first Carrying
the Man video game. He went eighty yards to the
house and I went boob easy, basy lemon, squeezy baby.

Speaker 4 (01:06:02):
So yeah, like I told like I told you, I
like Bries. I think he's a good player, but he's.

Speaker 10 (01:06:08):
The type of guy he I don't I don't think
he's got He's slow and and I don't think his
vision is there because if he's supposed to run to
the right and the left opens up, he'd never like
shifts gear quick enough to get over to the left.

Speaker 4 (01:06:23):
Like I've seen many other backs too.

Speaker 7 (01:06:25):
Yeah, that's my observation.

Speaker 10 (01:06:28):
I don't know if that's your observation, but I mean,
if the hole's there, he's a monster. But if the
hole's not there, he's like one and a half yards
crumbles to the ground.

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
The trouble is super frustrating because like he just initial
he goes down. He does not fight through contact a.

Speaker 4 (01:06:44):
Lot that we see what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
Yeah, yeah, no, I agree with you. And then the
vision's been questionable. There have been lanes in the past,
not just the priests is a game clip that went viral.
There have been other opportunities where he sort of lost it.
But he's had it before. I've seen the Washington touchdown,
Denver touchdown, Like he's had a lot of these touchdouts
where it's the home run balls or he just sees
it perfectly and he's able to see it. But in consistency, consistency, consistency,

(01:07:07):
that seems to.

Speaker 10 (01:07:07):
Be like he's like he's like he's like a home
run hitter. He either hits a home run or he
strikes out very he very fairly gets you know, doubles
and triples.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
Yeah, and I love the guy.

Speaker 4 (01:07:20):
I think he's great.

Speaker 10 (01:07:21):
But I was up when I was up in New
Jersey a couple of weeks ago for my niece's kid's
birthday party, me and my son, I said, let's go
to a couple of stores because I want to get
some Jet stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:07:34):
Because but they didn't have anything.

Speaker 10 (01:07:38):
I wanted to get a new I wanted to get
a green hoodie with the new Jets logo on it.
And all they had was the old Jets logo and
the ugliest one, the one I would take, the and
why one, you know, the one, but but the one
from last year or two years ago.

Speaker 4 (01:07:58):
No, I hate that logo. Yes, I don't like that logo.
I don't want it to me.

Speaker 10 (01:08:02):
It means losing and garbage. I don't want that logo.
I don't want anything associated with the shoulder Swatch uniforms.

Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
Nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:08:10):
Yeah, screw the shoulder swatchress. I did hate those uniforms.
Absolutely awful, absolutely awful. Easy, the call brother good stuff.
By the way, that membership went to Eduardo one second.
Excuse me, Gerard Warrez, Gerard Warrez, you got that membership
from our number one Austria Jet fan. Interesting thought from

(01:08:32):
Easy go in on Micah Parsons, who says no, there
is a guy that I think would be able to
answer that question. On who says, now, let's bring him
in hop Up Pop Baby Briestall six round pick mic
up parts is.

Speaker 6 (01:08:52):
I'd actually I almost just called.

Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
The police the police.

Speaker 6 (01:08:57):
Oh okay, I almost just called the police because I
am not sure that it is safe in North Carolina
to be on the roads.

Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Because Easy is driving while impaired.

Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
Oh come on, that that was the reasonable initial.

Speaker 6 (01:09:19):
Easy is known for some some interesting takes, all right, right,
So they want he wants Jets to trade a running
back who may not even be their starter, who likely
won't be on the team in a year. Uh, and
a six round pick who really is the guy that
you know brings gatorade to the rest of the guys

(01:09:40):
before he was cut yesterday for one of the top
three defensive players in the league, and some say the
best defensive player in the league. Generational talent. Yeah that
that that checks out. That makes a lot of sense.

Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
Again, it was an as easy pointed out, it was
an initial offer. He was open to negotiations.

Speaker 6 (01:10:00):
That's like a pretzel stick, and some used gum here
have this. But by the way, uh, I'm good. Somebody
brings two first round draft picks to the yard, I
let Micah go. Otherwise, Mike is not free as a bird.
He is committed to the Cowboys if the Cowboys choose

(01:10:20):
so for three years. Three years so he can cry
a river. He can get his pussy ass off the table,
put his fucking uniform on, shoot up and show up
and try to get by with your twenty one million dollars.
You're going to make it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
See if you pinched twenty four million this year.

Speaker 6 (01:10:40):
See if you get pinched the pennies to get by
on twenty four million dollars a year?

Speaker 3 (01:10:44):
Can you do it? Are you okay, little guy? Are
you okay?

Speaker 5 (01:10:48):
No?

Speaker 6 (01:10:48):
Shut up, pussy, show up, show out. You signed a contract.
There's a union agreement. Start putting him do. Let's go
back to the yesteryear. Let's go back to twenty thirty tea,
excuse me even further back. Give me a second. Let's
go back to two thousand and five with the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers benched a healthy key John Johnson for conduct

(01:11:13):
detrimental to the team. That's where we're at with Michael Parsons.
He's not acting like a professional who's under contract to
make twenty four million dollars this year. I don't give
a crap. He gets strip everything he wants off. What
he needs to do is suit up or not get paid.
Because with a contract he's under contract for this year

(01:11:34):
for a paltry twenty four million dollars, he's under contract
next year and the year following if the Cowboys choose.
So that's life, that of the facts. And so if
he wants to sit for three years and see how
that works out for him in twenty thirty or whatever
that is from now, we'll see how that goes. He's
gonna win in this game of chicken.

Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
Actually that it wouldn't even work out because for those
who don't know, if you sit out a full season,
So Mike has one year left under still, if he
sits out the full season, the contract tolls, so his
twenty four million dollar deal for twenty twenty five would
still be there in twenty twenty six, plus the two
franchise tags after that, so the minimum amount of games required.
Jud Fins are intimately familiar with that because of a

(01:12:17):
Son Reddick and the amount of games he would have
to play.

Speaker 6 (01:12:20):
The great I would be more than willing for the
Cowboys to trade him, more than willing to put him
up against the wall and make him live out his
contract that he's sinned and honor the bargaining agreement the
NFL Players Association agree to.

Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
So this is a tough negotiation. We're starting out with
a Breese Haunt at six. You're at two first, so
there's a bit of a gap we have to make
up here. Funny, well sort of, see what happens now,
Wait just a second here, Wait just a second here,
I can't see him chat to what's going on there?
Some new gear.

Speaker 6 (01:12:56):
Boy green Boy green and oh wow boy green.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
Okay wow, I didn't even know that was for sale yet.

Speaker 6 (01:13:06):
This hat is a unique nature, one of a kind, handstitched,
top quality and unavailable to the public. Oh, available to
the public.

Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
Wow, you must know a guy I will tell you this,
or a girl I will tell you this for people
out in the universe and you dig that at It
is not publicly for sale, but I've been teasing it
for a while and hopefully we have it already before
the season that a new merch shop is coming to you.
And for anyone that's had problems with our previous merch shop,

(01:13:40):
this should end all of those problems and issues and
everything else. So we're going to start off small with
a couple of items. Hopefully you show your support. If
you want to support the Boy Green brand, there'll be
a couple of items you guys will be able to purchase,
perhaps including that hat. So we'll see for now though
it is unavailable to the public, but I see that
you already got your hands on a Pops. That's a

(01:14:00):
sweet looking cap there.

Speaker 6 (01:14:02):
Yep, it's very nice. It's a match set. I've got
the black one over.

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
There, so okay, all right, very nice. So pop beyond
the Micah Parsons trade negotiation here on the show, what
else said did you have on your mind today? Here?

Speaker 6 (01:14:16):
On a Wednesday, yep, Saturday and Sunday who will be
the schedule prediction show where I split it over two days. Okay,
schedule prediction show, there'll be Hop on Pop takeover Saturday,
Sunday and.

Speaker 3 (01:14:32):
Monday.

Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
And by the way, just to clarify this for the people,
you're talking about a full twenty twenty five New York
Jets schedule prediction and us breaking it down over two
days to break down basically what we think the record's
going to be for the New York Jets. Correct, that
is correct? Okay, Actually I'm looking it's a good week
for it because a week from tomorrow, Pop, it'll be

(01:14:54):
your game day on Thursday Night Football to kick off
the season. So we'll have Cowboys Eagles a week from tomorrow,
which is crazy to say out loud, and then the
Jets a few days after that. There will be Sunday,
September seventh, when they welcome in Aaron Rodgers to MetLife Stadium.
So it's all upon us here. Today's a big day.
We got waivers in three hours and fifteen minutes, so
things are going to be moving and grooving. For any

(01:15:15):
more potential addition, stay tuned to Heavy On Jets. I'll
have a lot of articles out reacting to all the
breaking news coming there. And I'll also be live again
at eleven o'clock with pff NFL analyst Dalton Wasserman. We'll
be talking about some of these moves as well.

Speaker 6 (01:15:28):
That's right, thirty eight days, ten hours, and forty five
minutes until the Boy Green meetup at the clover Leaf Tavern.

Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
Ah. Okay, I like that math. That is going to
be excellent. And Dave brig up by the way giving
a shout out saying, Papa is getting that cap into production. Yeah,
it's pretty impressive how he can do that. That's pretty cool, Dave.
He's one of a kind. But that is true. We
still have a few spots available for that meet and greet.
The night before that, we'll be at the clover Leaf Tavern.

(01:15:59):
That is Chef Evan Gilbert's restaurant. Excuse me, and it's
going to be great to be seven thirty at night.
So let me throw out my email real quick here
on the screen. Pop, you're going to be there. I'm
going to be there, Wooty family members and a lot
of you Boygreen Coffee Club members, even if you're not
coming to our Jets Cowboys game Sunday, October fifth. If
you are obviously, if you're already in town, this just

(01:16:20):
makes a lot of sense. But even if you're not,
you just want to come hang out with some Jet fans,
reach out to me. My email is on the screen.
It is my first name, middle initial, last name jartgmail
dot com. That is Paul P A U. L A E. S.
D E N Jrgmail dot com. That is email to
reach out to if you have any interest in doing
our meet and greeted, it would be seven thirty at night.
It's Saturday, October fourth. It's in Caldwell, New Jersey. It

(01:16:42):
is the clover Leaf tavert. You guys can look it
up for the address and all the details, but if
you email me express interest, I could share even more
of those details with you. We can have a maximum
of sixty people in the room, and we have thirty
plus I believe currently scheduled for that event with chef
Kevin Gilbert, which is really awesome, really cool, and I
could share all the details. So if you guys are
interested in doing that meet and greet ahead of the

(01:17:03):
game and you're in the New Jersey area, I'd love
to meet you guys and hang out. We could do
all kinds of fun stuff talking jets and eat some
great food and drink from Chef Kevin Gilbert's restaurant. A
cool way to give back to Chef keV before the
event on Sunday, October fifth, where he will be tail
getting and cooking it up with all of us, which
should be a lot of fun. So, man, the countdown's on, Pop,
that's going to be here before you know it.

Speaker 6 (01:17:25):
Countdown is one. I'm looking at chat trying to catch
up and where'd you go?

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
Yeah, just showing the hat. It looks like you flexing
the other one here, very nice. Another one that's on
in production. Look at that nice Hey, shout out to
the again who you guys will hopefully get to meet soon,
both physically, virtually and everything else. They put a lot
of thought into that hat, as my pop's that hand stitched,
So the hats will be you guys will eventually see

(01:17:53):
it when the shop opens up. The prices will be
posted and you will see it. But some really cool
stuff happening, so high quality stuff, which is really important.

Speaker 6 (01:18:02):
But go ahead, Pop, Yeah, yeah, And for those who
didn't see right, I believe contracts work both ways when
they're signed. They should be honored by both the owners.
I gave that take a few weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (01:18:13):
You pay them.

Speaker 6 (01:18:14):
You can't go to the player and say I'm gonna
take less money or I'm gonna cut you contracts to
contracts and contract and other than you know, faking a
spramed man. Gina Parsons has actually low little of no
leverage in this situation. If he chooses not to play,
he's not gonna get paid. Then the contract as you
as you wait out, will just matriculate, continue perpetuate, and

(01:18:39):
so he's not in a good spot.

Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
But and real quick, just real quick on the CBA
for people who don't know it, Like, okay, so it's
broken into a lot of different categories. But if we
really get into the you know, the meat and potatoes
or the CBA, rookies get worked, like if you try
to hold out, you try to say, hey, tee, fuck
the man, I'm doing my own things. It is incredibly

(01:19:02):
punitive for the Micah Parsons of the world. Like if
a rookie act, if Micah Parsons right, because like easy
said it earlier, and I've heard a few other people
say this, So I don't know if it's really true,
but that Micah Parsons is quote unquote a different kind
of person, and he can hold grudges and all kinds
of whatever stuff like he'd be won of Miss Games
basically is the gist. And he doesn't give a shit.

(01:19:22):
He'll he'll do crazy stuff that maybe normal people wouldn't do,
is what I've heard. We're about to find out if
that's really true. But boy, if he does that, it
is just, like I said, incredibly punitive. The fines again,
the contract holes, so eventually you're gonna have to show
up at some point for at least a year to count.
Like it is, it is no bueno for rookies. It

(01:19:42):
can be punitive for veterans too, as we've seen with
Trey Hendrickson, but it's much worse for people on rookie contracts.

Speaker 6 (01:19:49):
Yeah, so we'll see how it plays out. You know,
it may be just Jerry being Jerry, who knows and
he just wants to headline. I don't understand that strategy,
but he's made some valuable decisions and he's the owner.
He could do what he wants to do. But anyways,
the Michael Parsons trade, that easy propose I am worried

(01:20:12):
about the people of North Carolina with someone that's unfit
to drive on the road may make espousing those.

Speaker 1 (01:20:18):
So you're not going to accept that, traders what you're saying.

Speaker 4 (01:20:21):
Yet?

Speaker 6 (01:20:21):
No, no, By the way, I wouldn't take Breith Hall
if I was the Cowboys for I can't think of
any reason I take Brashaft.

Speaker 1 (01:20:31):
Come on, he's a massive upgrade over those random people
you have in the backfield. Who's jaded Blue? If that's
even his name?

Speaker 4 (01:20:38):
Who is that?

Speaker 6 (01:20:40):
No time will tell. Rico Dowdell is a better running
back than Breshall.

Speaker 1 (01:20:46):
Oh stop it.

Speaker 6 (01:20:48):
One of them has had a thousand yards rushing? Anyone?

Speaker 4 (01:20:50):
Who is that?

Speaker 6 (01:20:51):
Anyone?

Speaker 3 (01:20:52):
Anyone?

Speaker 1 (01:20:56):
I know that, I know that Pop.

Speaker 6 (01:20:58):
He keeps talking about running backs. You know he wants
him to have a thousand yards and then he expects
those defenders to tackle. He is ridiculous and inspects quarterbacks
bill interscept the ball, Like what the hell?

Speaker 1 (01:21:11):
He is so old school, he's delusional. Any who, you
said you had something else you wanted to get to Pop,
Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (01:21:20):
Nope, just looking forward to Skeet reveal a triple header
of Pop on Hop on pob Takeover we do not
have to do this, but I do appreciate the people
with the Wounded Warrior Project I have in front of me.
But it's north of six hundred dollars raised so far,
so thank you for that.

Speaker 1 (01:21:34):
All right, Yes, let's shout up here on the screen again.
It was it's been an awesome piece of the puzzle here,
no question about it. Here, it is pop. I'll give
you another chance to talk about it here. For the
seven hundred people that are in the room on this
show again, it's the hop On Pop Wounded Warrior Project.
Fifty to fifty raffle. This has been going on and
will continue to go on going through midnight on Saturday,

(01:21:56):
October fourth. That's that meet and greet that we're going
to be doing the night before. So guys, here's how
it all works again. There's a raffle going on. Every
raffle ticket is a dollar apiece, just one singular, George
Washington's one dollar. That's all it takes to be eligible.
So if you give fifty dollars, you get fifty raffle tickets,
et cetera. Fifty percent of the proceeds goes to the

(01:22:19):
Wounded Warrior Project. Fifty percent goes to whoever wins this raffle,
which we will draw live on Sunday, October fifth at
our tailgate. We will do it there with a wheel
of some kind and the determined whoever that winner is
going to be and the top donator from the contest. Because,
as you know, if anyone's a Boy Green Coffee Club

(01:22:40):
member here, just because you donate the most is not
always guarantee victory because it is random. It is a
wheel being spun. But in this particular case, whoever is
the top donator to the Wounded Warrior Project fifty to
fifty raffle will receive a very special prize which we
will be revealing here very shortly to inspire you, hopefully
to continue to donate with multiple audit graft items. I

(01:23:00):
think you guys are going to love it. If you
guys would like to be involved, here's how you do it.
The Venmo is on the screen. That's at Paul hyphen
Esden p A U L hyphen E s d E
n on Venmo or PayPal at all. This is all
together no spaces hop on Hop twenty two, h opn
Pop two to the digits and the top right part

(01:23:25):
of your screen right now. That emoji shades beard spiky hair.
That will be the profile picture for both those Venmo
and paypals, So you know it's going to the right place. Again, guys,
this is for charity, So if you have the means
to do so, please, this is very important to me
and my father, I'd really appreciate it. Again, your normal
super chats, memberships and things. So this channel goes to
the raffle I talked about earlier, which is this not

(01:23:47):
to confuse this one that we're putting up with the screen.
The Wounded Warrior Project is completely separate and my father
is receiving the money and we'll put it all together there.
So pop feel free give tell us a little bit
more about the Wounded Warrior Project. What it's all about
for people that are uninitiated.

Speaker 6 (01:24:04):
Yeah, it's really about, you know, taking care of the
people that put themselves at risk for us. They come
back from deployment, whether in any of the armed forces,
not the way they went over some with PTSD. We
put them in the in harms way, protecting our freedom
recently in many different conflicts around the globe, and this

(01:24:26):
provides therapy for them.

Speaker 3 (01:24:29):
It augments what the VA does.

Speaker 6 (01:24:32):
Sometimes people need more than help than that, whether it's housing, healthcare, therapy, prosthetics,
whatever they need, and so any amount you could donate
Right now, we're at six hundred and sixteen dollars and
seventy eight cents raised over the past couple weeks. Just
for updates, I do have a spreadsheet I will share
on Saturday with all the donators. So again, thank you

(01:24:55):
for all they have donated. If you have the opportunity
to donate a few dollars, please do so.

Speaker 1 (01:25:02):
There you go, and again, Pop, we're closing it on
eight thousand subscribers, he said. If each of them reached
between the couch cushions and gives fifty cents a piece,
that could be a tremendous difference made for the Wounded
Warrior Project. Fifty to fifty.

Speaker 6 (01:25:16):
Raffle absolutely absolutely, all.

Speaker 1 (01:25:19):
Right, Pop, I appreciate I see you get the Syracuse
shirt on. We'll have a lot of college football this weekend.
It'll be great to see after my Fantasy Draft event
that I'll be hosting at Smoky Bones on Friday evening.
As soon as that conclusion happens. And I guess some
baby signed some autographs I'm going to be dipping out
and moving on. So it should be a lot of fun, absolutely,
you know.

Speaker 6 (01:25:39):
And then just about some of the things talked earlier,
the Jets should go after a wide receiver too. There's
a few interesting names out there, and I don't think
you talked about it. I didn't see the whole show,
but Michael Gallup is out there.

Speaker 1 (01:25:52):
I have that mentioned. Michael maybe the free agent with the.

Speaker 6 (01:25:55):
Most yardage and experience in the NFL, frankly that's currently
still available, that's still playing, obviously not retired. He's he's
right around four thousand yards in his career receivers with
a with a more than a thousand yard one thousand
yard reception receiving yards in his career. And there's a

(01:26:15):
very you know, quite a few handful of interesting QB
threes that I would bring back before I signed. Uh,
you know, the uh, the UFL champion or you know whatever,
let him Boil Cook whatever his name is. So, uh,
there's there's two or three qbs out there that pretty interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:26:37):
So you said that you would, if you were the Jets,
would gallop to go get Michael.

Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
Is that what you said?

Speaker 4 (01:26:42):
I bring him in?

Speaker 1 (01:26:43):
I bring him.

Speaker 6 (01:26:44):
I bring him to the yard and try him out. Right,
there's no there's no damn. He is in his prime,
he was super fast. That's what workouts are for. You
don't just show up. And I'm not telling you to
blindly sign him. You know, have him work out with
the QBS, tried him in, see what he is. See
you can in short order, in an hour hour and
a half workout with interviews and seeing what he does

(01:27:05):
in the field. You'll know if he's better or in
the same vein as what you have in the room.

Speaker 1 (01:27:10):
That's fair.

Speaker 6 (01:27:10):
You trod him out, Yeah, you know what. You make
the boys go out there too. Rite everyone here that
wants to be number two wide receiver go out there
and run routes with Michael Gallup, and we're going to
sign the best player and the other one.

Speaker 3 (01:27:27):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (01:27:28):
See what he has, See what he has left to tank.
He has capability, he's fast, he has good hands. You
know who knows what does it hurt a plane ticket?
I think the Jets that doesn't count against the cap,
so I would have I would have open auditions this
week for that. In TB three because again there's three
you know, I like Mike White, I like Kyle McCord,

(01:27:51):
Tommy DeVito as even though he's curious uselum, I'm I'm
less fond of but but there's opportunity out there and
there and those three. I think I've bring more to
the table than the two that left.

Speaker 1 (01:28:06):
Fair enough, Pop, thank you, looking forward to doing some
shows together this weekend. All right, boy, coffee club deuces.
There he goes, He goes out like a flame. There
you go. Wow, that was colorful. Well, the last two
phone calls whoever's coming up next? The barsman sets a
certain distance after those phone calls. Real quick though, I

(01:28:28):
see Luke asking this Beachy, what time does the tailgate
start on game day? That is a Jet's Cowboys on
the October fifth. So from what I understand, the gates open,
I believe at eight o'clock and I will be there
with Chef Kevin Gilbert helping him set up in things.
So basically, I guess, as soon as we set up
and get everything ready to roll, we've got our guy

(01:28:49):
Louby Superjets fan. Let me make sure I get the
name of this appropriate what he is donating in here.
One second, I always mess up the name, so I
want to make sure I get it right here. He
is bringing the Here it is the Beast Sprinter, which
is basically this massive minivan with a DJ booth out

(01:29:11):
of the back of it. He's donating. It's a ultimate
luxury travel experience Beast, a twenty twenty five Mercedes one
hundred and seventy in sprinter van designed to redefine comfort
style on safety. It's you know, so it has TVs
and music and all kinds of things, and he's going
to bring a DJ. So basically it'll start basically as
soon as we set up, so Luca and everybody else

(01:29:31):
what I would suggest though, and we'll get more into
these details as we get closer, but as many of
you as possible want to show up, like as soon
as possible because it's first come for serving and the
parking lot. So we're going to try to get a
bunch of us to essentially block off spots in D
one where we're all going to be in this one

(01:29:52):
section altogether. So the more of us that we can
all sort of unite at the beginning, the better, so
appreciate that. So, yes, it'll be basically as soon as
the gates open and we set up camp. It will
start immediately. All right, let's go to the front lines.
Man with the jet tattoos back, baby, what's up? Brother?

Speaker 5 (01:30:10):
Hey boy Green, how you doing? Yay?

Speaker 1 (01:30:11):
Good to see you.

Speaker 5 (01:30:13):
Hey. Listen, you know I got to give a shout
out to indie jet fan. All Right, he's made the
most sense of anybody that's commented a call today. If
you are buying into Aaron Glenn, you have to trust
Aaron Glenn.

Speaker 4 (01:30:32):
I mean you have to.

Speaker 5 (01:30:33):
We're talking about, you know, going out and getting this receiver,
that receiver. These are guys that people are throwing away.

Speaker 2 (01:30:39):
We have.

Speaker 5 (01:30:42):
Skinner and Smith. They're going to be on a practice squad.
If you don't like what you say, one of them
is going to.

Speaker 4 (01:30:49):
Still be there.

Speaker 3 (01:30:50):
Bring them back.

Speaker 5 (01:30:52):
We know what they could do. We don't know what
these other guys can do. I mean, look, we just
got to trust this guy. You know, we've trusted guys before,
but this guy, we all we all, we all know
that this guy has been different. You know, he's got
the players buying in. And I think when you have
the players believing, this can be a big boost. And

(01:31:19):
it can take an average player and make him a
notch better. So I think we have to believe in
Aaron Glynn. That's that's that's, that's all I got with that.
And as far as Pop, I got to say this,
Pop is right. You signed a damn contract in the
NFL and a year later you want more money. Come on,

(01:31:44):
this is ridiculous. We're talking about generational wealth here. Well,
you know, I don't even know how fans can relate
to players anymore.

Speaker 8 (01:31:54):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:31:55):
You know, we're average people here, you know, living week
to week. We died guys complaining about making twenty four
million dollars. I'm not going to cry for them, are you?

Speaker 1 (01:32:07):
Definitely not? And by the way, just to give you
an example, not that you need it, but for everyone else,
like Cam Heyward. Right, So he signs a new deal,
a three year extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers in September
of last year, and less than a year later, what's that?
Six months later he reapproached the Steelers after an All
Pro season and said, hey, where's my money? They went,
what we just paid him five months ago? And he went, well,

(01:32:29):
yesterday's price and not today's price. And he held out
like the entire offseason and then he just went, all right, fine,
I'll show up, but like, well.

Speaker 4 (01:32:36):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (01:32:37):
Yeah, take a stand. You have to take a stand.
If you don't take a stand, this is just going
to continue and continue and continue, it's going to get
worse and worse. I mean we're going to have, you know,
two or three players that take up, you know, seventy
five percent of the salary cap. It's going to get ridiculous.
So hey, if you want to sit, sit, if you

(01:32:58):
want to lose twenty four million dollars, lose twenty four
million dollars. You know, if money is that big of
a deal to you, are you going to let twenty
four million dollars just go out the window just to
prove a point.

Speaker 4 (01:33:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:33:12):
I just don't get it. But you know, again, I
just want to shout out to Indie Jets fan. I
think you hit the nail on the head. I think
you have to just trust in these guys and just
sit back and let it happen. Yeah, I mean, you know,
that's all I can say. So anyway, have a good week,

(01:33:35):
and again, shout out to Indie Jets fan.

Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
There you go. He doesn't get enough shout out, So
I appreciate that very cool man with the jet tattoo. Awesome. Yeah,
there was a lot of thought there from Indy. Let
me answer this. So another one from lucub to tailgate.
And by the way, I just want to say this,
if any of you have questions about the tailgate you're
going and you have questions about it, please please please
please let me know any questions you guys have. Luca asked,

(01:34:00):
do we know what drinks will be served? Won't have
a car to get to the booth, so wondering if
there will be some beer offered. Yes, So here's how
it's gonna work for people that are coming to our
tailgate and our paying people. So this will not just
be free for anyone to just come grab food or drink.
Our food and drink is specifically reserved for the people
that bought a tailgate ticket. We no longer have tailgate

(01:34:21):
tickets to sell, So if you missed out, then I'm
unfortunately you missed out on the tailgate experience. I already
bought these. I bought these tear away bracelets and I
will have a list and as you come up, so Luke,
I know you have a bunch of people come out
I think you have four people coming if I remember
off the top of my head. When you show up,
I'm gonna have a list and it's gonna be like,
hey boy Green, I'm Luca, and here's I'm Luca and

(01:34:43):
the Lucas. I'm like, oh, okay, check check, check, check check,
here's all your bracelets. Boom boom, boom boom. And you
will have the access, of course to the full chef
Kevin Gilbert Tailgate menu as he's making the food with
his family. He'll be there with his beautiful wife and
wonderful son. They'll all be helping out to doing all
kinds of wonderful food. And the drinks that will be

(01:35:03):
available will be water and select alcohol. And I know
you want to know what that select alcohol is. I'll
have something on that in a second. So yeah, So
it'll be no soda available, and it's not an open bar,
so there's no open bar. I want to continue to
reiterate that for people. I don't want you to me
fake out and think you're getting something that you're not.
So it's going to be a bunch of so. Someone

(01:35:24):
else brought this up as well. It is an open
parking lot, so you can bring your own coolers that
you want, feel free to drag them over. That's fine.
You guys can have your own drinks or snacks or
foods or anything that you want. But if you want
any of the food, and you paid for the tailgate,
you want any of that food, obviously you will have
full access to that if you had a tailgate ticket.
So to be water and select alcohol. The person that

(01:35:45):
can better answer the alcohol question is the James Woody.
So Luke, I know you're on Instagram. Hit up the
James Woody. He is my co host of this event.
He is purchasing the alcohol. I'm not a big alcohol guy,
so you know, if I was, you know, hey, Paul
pick out the alcohol for everybody, I probably wouldn't do
a good job because I don't really drink alcohol. To

(01:36:05):
be honest with you, A hand grenade, you get that
in my hand whoo might be making some bad decisions.
But besides that, I don't drink a lot of alcohol,
if any at all. And so James Woody will be
your answer to that, and you can influence him because
he's going to be buying it. So look, if there's
certain things you're looking for, you can ask that to
Wooty and he can include that in the purchase. So
we're gonna be buying a couple hundred dollars worth of
alcohol plus the water, so all that will be available

(01:36:28):
will have a bunch of coolers. But you guys are
also available to bring any coolers that you'd like for.
I know some of us have children. My children are
going to be coming, so if they aren't gonna want
the food from Chef Kevin Gilbert, they just want little
snack foods, that's all available, that's not restricted or anything
of that nature. So you guys can also bring your own.
But for the specific alcohol question, the James Woody on Instagram,

(01:36:49):
make sure you hit him up and again for anyone
that is going and are very interested in the alcohol portion,
he will be purchasing it. So if you want certain
alcohols represented, make sure you do it.

Speaker 3 (01:37:00):
So, yes, it is.

Speaker 1 (01:37:01):
Wooty, Wooty woooo all Woody all the time. He is
our alcohol party attendant for this event, so he will
be picking it all out. So folks, if you do
have special request or anything from that perspective, please make
sure you reach out to Wooty and he can try
to accommodate you the best that he can. I want
to thank the seven hundred people that are in the room.

(01:37:22):
I love you guys, Thank you so much for the support.
It's so much fun doing this show. I love doing
this show. Crazy news with injury season ending injuries and
initial fifty three man rosters and waiver claims and this
that or the other. It's going to be wild. So
I'm going to be writing some articles as soon as
the show is over on some waiver wire target, so

(01:37:43):
stay tuned to that heavy on jets and Plus I'm
back on live at eleven o'clock. Will be out with
pff NFL analyst Wasserman right here on this channel as
well and at MC show Digital, so it should be
a lot of fun. Thanks everybody for tuning in. We'll
see in a couple of hours full our live show
at the Manchut Show with Boy Green Digital. We'll see

(01:38:04):
you then, everybody,
