should be a good day. Football's coming back, How Boys,
Eagles Tonight and all that jazz. But we just got
an official update seconds literally seconds before the show started,

so let's get right to it. NFL Network insider in
Rapport confirms that Elijah Tucker did in fact tear his triceps.
He will be knocked out indefinitely. He's going to be
placed on injured reserve. It will quote unquote almost certainly
end his season. Abt injured himself during a one on

one drill was playing his best football. It was poised
to help the young Jets offensive line. That just coming
in for me in rapport. So there's a lot to
unpack here. We obviously got to talk about the injury,
the impact on the team and all that stuff, and
we will. But can we wait a second, Just wait

one second. I know that for me and all you
out in the universe, you didn't want this injury. This
injury sucks. Why would we want one of our premier
young players injured? No one wants that. So all upset
by that injury. Naturally, it's a it's a gut punch

before the season. We will move on inevitably, we have to.
We have no other choice. There's gonna be a boy
grained daily tomorrow. There's gonna be a game on Sunday.
There's gonna be a game a Sunday after that, and
the games just keep rolling. So inevitably, the world will
continue to spend because it has to, and we're going
to talk about all of it. But folks out there
in the universe, can you do me a favor, You

do me a favor. It's not Elijah Vera Tucker's fault,
that his tricep tour on his left side, that his
tricep tour on his right side, that his achilles exploded.
Three season ending injuries across this five years in the league. Brutal, devastating, awful,
tragic news. But I'm gonna throw up a fans comment

on the screen and this is real, and this really
was tweeted at me following the AVT injury, and let's
put it up. Let's put it up. This sort of
behavior is disgusting. So I'm sorry, Andrews Spinton, but uh,

in response to the AVT injury news quote. I don't
care how good or smart you are. If you can't
make it to the field, you are no use for
an NFL team. Done being a fan of this guy,
Get him off the team, now cut the cancer. End quote. Folks.

Avt is a man, a father, a husband. Let's think
about the human being for a second here. This is
a guy that suffered, as I just pointed out, three
devastating injuries back to back to back across his five years.

bit more clear, it wasn't back to back to back.
First year showed the promise that got us all excited.
Then in years two and three those back to back
season ending injuries in Denver awful. Then this past season,
whoa fifteen games, okay, Avt, we like what we see,
and then this year where he's out for the year

before the year even starts. So they weren't back to
back to back. So there was a tease element here
as we were hoping and rooting for Avt, a guy
that Jets traded up for in the first round. And
I just want to reiterate, it's not his fault. This
is a man that is going to be a free
agent next year. And if you don't want to cry
in tears, that's up to you. I'm not going to

make people do things, but to call him a answer,
to say get them off the team right now is sick.
It's disgusting, and it's not very empathetic for the things
that Abt is going through. Again, we as Jet content
creators and Jet fans, have no other choice but to
analyze the move and say, here's what happened, and we

just talked about it. What can the Jets do internally?
What are some moves they can make. I'm gonna talk
about that here on the show. We're gonna talk about
should they make up another move or the players outside
the organization that would make sense? What does that mean
for the Jet stealers game? Again? Literally, we're gonna talk
about every piece. But please, please, please, fans, stop this.

Stop this right now. I know it's the Internet and
keyboard Warriors and everyone feels tough saying all kinds of
things out there in the universe, but please don't shose
some goddamn reverence and some goddamn respect, Okay, because that
just that sort of thing bothered me. It just put
a pit in my stomach, Like, come on, man, we're
all football fans here. We want the Jets to win

games and Super Bowls and championships and all that jazz. Absolutely,
Elijah Tucker's out for the season, man, and no one's
more beat up than he is. He just spoke on Monday,
talk about the time frame of things happening. He spoke
on Monday. He was voted a team captain, he was
playing his best football. He's in a contract year, his

football livelihood is on the line in terms of if
he executes as a great year, he has a chance
for a crazy He would have had a chance at
a crazy ass contract next top season. This was perhaps
the most pivotal year of Elijah Vera Tucker's entire career.
So you think he's a little upset, he's another season
ending injury and then for it to be tricep. Taars
Like I was reading NYJ mattx tweets. He was looking

up like the statistics, like, to tear your tri steps
at all is such a rare injury in the NFL,
and to somehow tear both of them within your rookie
contract is like so unbelievably unlikely that it's crazy. It's
like the football godsas might it Elijaber Tucker here, it's unbelievable.
But please, let's show some respect for God's sakes. I

just don't like some of the energy I saw out
there on social media. We could be upset, everyone's allowed
to be upset, but what in the world it's terrible. Yes, rees,
it appears ABT's out for the season. So if you
guys are just hearing that information, there was a report
that came out yesterday from NFO insider Jordan Schultz that
said that the belief is ABT's out for the season,

and he is, yes, very very most likely. I mean,
I guess it's a long season. It's seventeen games across
eighteen weeks, and maybe there's a way, but that feels
incredibly unlikely. So the Jets have a hole here on
the roster, and again we're going to move on because

we have no other choice. But I wanted to take
a second to start off the show with hey man,
elizvere Tucker's human. This is a show, so a Jets
show that I have to talk about what's next, and
we will talk about what's next. But let's just please
use some respect these players that just suffered a devastating injury.
This is not a Madden video game here. These are

players in their real lives. This is the football reality show.

Cowboys Eagles. We have that tonight. That's gonna be exciting,
I'm sure. But for this Abt thing, I think the
first thing we have to do is that there's not

enough time to make any significant move before the Steelers
game on Sunday. The Jets play a football game in
three days. Sunday, September seventh, the Jets will trot out
there at Metlif Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they're
gonna have to put out a starting offensive line. Now,
my gut says, we're gonna get some shuffling. That's the
only natural thing to do at this point. You're not

putting out a Max Mitchell. I'm not putting out a
Xavier Newman.

John Simpson left guard, Josh Myers I believe is your

right guard and armand Membou's your right tackle. Now, I'll
tell you this. You want to be optimistic, You want

to say, hey, let's go through this. What are we

what happens open in the game three days. If you
want to be optimistic, I think that line's okay, not bad.
I was better with ABT, but that reality does not
exist right now for the Jets. Olu muiwah, feel great
about him. John Simpson, as long as it back's okay,
feel good about him. Josh Myers. Is he the best
center in the universe? Candidly no? Is he the worst?

Absolutely not. He's got fifty six games and starting experience,
and that is what goes to this headline of this
video quote unquote overlook Jets edition expect to be hero
replacement for AVT. Shout out to Kyle Krabs of a
Disease Sports NFL. He wrote a piece about this, saying, Hey,
this de signing that no one even talked about could
save their season, and in a weird way, it could.

How many teams in the NFL have a fifty six
game starter just waiting at the ready to be called upon.
Not many, I'd venture not many. Plus you think about
Chuck wooma Okorafour who has a hand injury. He hasn't
been practicing this week. We'll keep an eye out for
that one. But that's a sixty game starter that's waiting
at tackle. So you have the incredible depth. That is
the reason I was so optimistic about the New York

Jets this season was that they were seven deep on
the offensive line. There's a starting five that I really liked,
and there's two top backups I really liked, and that
was Josh Myers, Chuck Woomocorafoor on the bench. So I
love this line. Now, the ceiling may be somewhat altered
here by Avt's disappearance, but to be honest, I think
Josh Myers can be fine because not every and Damian

Woodey has come out on this show and said this.
We had him a couple of years ago, and it
stands true today. Not every player on the line has
to be an all Pro. We all want that as
Jet fans and perfectionists, right, Let's have every player be
an offer. That'd be wonderful and sure got to set goals,
but you don't have to have everyone as an all pro. Okay,
I think Golu Fashnu has a high ceiling. John Simpson

(11:20):
was awesome last year, perhaps the Jets best offensive lineman.
According to the analytics. Josh Myers has been a starting
center for three Green Bay Packer playoff teams. Not bad Okay,
we can rock with that, and Joe Tipman again, I don't.
I don't root for the ABT injury. I don't want it.
If I could take it away and donate someone else's tristeps,

(11:40):
I would. But here's the fact of the matter. The
good news is is Joe Tipmans played right guard before
he's played basically two hundred snaps at right guard. That
happened during his rookie season. In the preseason game Numero
Uno when John Simpson was out, Timpman was playing some
left guard. He's playing left guard for the first time
in the NFL first time, but now he's playing right guard,
a position at least he has some ex period, said Jordan.

(12:00):
Snaps is not nothing. Okay, So Tipman goes to guard
some people. Some analysts out there in the universe even
think Tipman's a better guard than center. All right, well,
I guess we'll see. So you have tipm and to guard,
and they have armand Membu the seventh overall draft choice.
Now I think a sneaky thing that hurts armand that
no one's talking about. Jake Asmond brought it up on

(12:21):
our interview the Manshut show Boy Green Digital YouTube channel.
We did an interview yesterday. You know, Arma Membu had Avt,
this seasoned veteran next to him, which probably put him
at ease. Now, Joe Timman's playing a new position, he's
only played a very small piece of time like armand
doesn't have that guy right next to him that can

(12:41):
help share things. Tipman's gonna be worrying about his own
action happening there from that perspective, So I'm gonna if
we're gonna be optimistic and turn the page. And again.
I was a little upset to start the show, upset
for Avt, upset for us, I'm upset for everybody. And
then those fans comments, I'm not gonna bring him back
up on the screen. I don't like seeing that stuff.

(13:03):
But if we're looking at this potential, I think the
Jets offensive line can still be very, very good. It's
got that potential be very good, and that's what's gonna be.
I imagine the starting lineup Week one against Pittsburgh's Dealers that
I do now and again. So let's just give some
more love to Josh Myers here. The Jets signed him

(13:25):
to a one year deal for one and a half
million one and a half million for Josh Myers. Now,
we could say what we want about Josh Myers, and
many people have. But Josh Myers has fifty six games
of starting experience and he got nip and pip interest
out in the free agency streets. No interest why. I

(13:46):
have no idea. Maybe it's because people say he's suck
or it's a it's an injury he suffered at the
end of his Packers career. I'm not sure what, but
I'll tell you this, that's a steal. You have him
on a one year deal for one and a half million,
and there are two million in incentives. The maxim value
of Josh Myers contract is three and a half million
if Josh Myers reaches that based on the incentives, because

(14:06):
now he's going to be a starter. Even if he
reaches all those incentives, he would be the number eighteen
highest paid center in football according to over the Cap
if he makes a three and a half million this year,
number eighteen, phenomenal. The Jets are getting crazy value. How
many offensive I'm in? Can you feel solid about that?
You pay three and a half million bucks to not many,

(14:29):
not many? So this free agent signing Kyle Crabs one
hundred percent right this signing the Jets made. That got
a lot of huh, nice dept move all of a sudden,
a lot more than a depth move. Now he's a
critical piece to the puzzle here for the twenty twenty
five season for the New York Jets. So Josh Myers
deserves a big salute. The Jets got a steal, they

got lucky, they were pursued the right moves. Josh Myers
was promised in his free agent meeting, as he revealed
jur the press conference, is that he would have a
good chance compete, compete, compete, and certainly he has now
that conversation's irrelevant about whatever center competition was happening to
there were timan because well they're both going to play,

would be my guest. So a big salute here to
Josh Myers, who has a chance to help save this
season at least in the immediate And then we could
talk about other moves. And I'll have a video coming
up on this. We'll see when it comes up. Today's

Brandon Shurf. He just retired like three weeks ago, and
that's a call I would make, former All Pro, five

elite right guards. What are we looking for a right guard?

What does he play well? Right guard? And then you
could keep Josh Myers on the bench and have Joe
Timnish your starting center, and you keep everyone where they
are because I like the depth of the top seven.
But now you've got a top six and you better
hope no injuries because I don't know if I trust
Max mitchell S pole uh Boots the other guy. We

got Max mitchell S a pole, and I'm forgetting one
of the Xavier Newman like I don't know, I'd like
one more layer of defense. So Brandon Schurff is a

had in this timeframe of like August September injuries of

this and this. It was a very long list, very
long list. I don't know how long the lists are
for other NFL teams, but it doesn't feel as long.

this injury sucks for AVT. This injury sucks for the fans.

but LGM, good for you guys. Syracuse Mets one's a
trip away affiliate. Nice little win. Yes, I think it
was like ten two or something very nice last night
as I was at the radio station. So good for
your Mets. But again this I want to also say
this because obviously I started the show sad and not
with my normal energy. But the season is not over. Uh,

you know, we could give the proper you know, you know,
we could give the sendoff for AVT, and we should
because wonderful human, being, good player, good teammate, all that stuff.
But we must move on. And it might sound sick
and whatever, but like hey man, the world keeps spinning,

to ABT. I don't want to try to sound like
I'm being inconsiderate or anything of that nature. But we
have a season to go to here, and he is
the first casualty, but he won't be the last. This
football game is a vicious, brutal game. It could happen

through the other two injuries. Tara Taylor and Sas Gardner practice,

didn't actually practice on Wednesday, so this is a projection,

Now let me say this in terms of some fantasy
know how Jack, I don't know if i'd play him
in the flex. Here's why. So here's a note for

all you fantasy footballers out there. I love fantasy football.
If you have someone playing on Thursday night, I would
ninety nine times out of one hundred not play them
in the flex. So let me reiterate, Jack, I'd played
George Pickens tonight in the flex. No, here's why. You
want to maximize your flexibility. If you play George Pickens

in the flex tonight and good or bad, whatever happens,
your flex is locked out. If you move him to
a wide receiver spot, okay, and he plays his game,
you still have the flex as a backup because if
another injury befalls you and you have the flex open,
you could plug in a running back, you can plug
in a receiver, maybe a tight end depending on your

league's settings. So like, you want to leave that flexibility open.
So my message to fantasy football fans out there is,
do not put players in your flex on Thursday Night
football unless you have no other choice. And sometimes it
happens based on how things operate, you just you have
no choice. But that's very rare. You should have choices.
And I'd put pickets as one of your starting receivers
and put one of your other receivers in the flex

if you want, or a running back or whatever you want,
whatever you want to do in the universe, and give
yourself flexibility just in case crazy crap happens, COVID injuries,
whatever you want to have flexibility to pivot to someone
else on your bench. So Jack, I'd play pickets because
I love pickets and against this Eagle secondary and tonight
wo I think the Cowboys won't have problems scoring points.

They just might have problems stopping the Eagles. So but
I would one hundred percent pla pickets type. But there's
a little fantasy no how on stuff that I would
just say avoid putting people in your flex. That's how
you get trapped, So keep that in mind. Jack says

wide receiver spots are chasing and BTJ. So that's interesting
because obviously in no situation you ever mention them, still
I would flip it. Here's why what if Chaser Brian
Thomas Junior. I'm not wishing this on anybody, but what
if what if randomly one of them gets a stomach
illness on Sunday and can't play? Well, you can't now
play if you have a really good running back on

your roster that you could have played otherwise. That's why
I say, even if the players are really good in
your case where you have a real first world problem here,
your wide receivers are awesome, I would still I would
still switch it. I'd put Pickings at one of the
wide receiver spots and put BTJ or Chase in the flex. Now,
more likely than not, you're going to play whoever those
players are regardless, but you never know with injuries and

other things as well. So I would just keep that
out in the universe to do. But again, I'm a
massive Pickens fans this year. Now I don't have any
fantasy drafts, I don't have to hide information. I am
a massive George Pickens fan. This year. Jack Prescott's gonna
throw for five thousand yards or defense sucks, so he's
just gonna have to throw it all over the place.
So they're the beangals of the NFC. Their defense is
