Jets are now in new places. We'll talk about that too,
plus perhaps some concerning injury updates. Ahead of the Steelers game.

wire editions, jets going in new places. There's a lot
of hoopla happening, and let's try to catch up what
the hell is going on. We have a full article

that on the show. Why don't we start there. Let's
start there and then we'll play the waiver wire bingo
game and figure out where everyone went and things of
that nature and former Jets and new places. But the
Jets were fishing, They through the line in the water.
They're they're playing the waiver wire game, and then the
fishing pole is just sitting out there in the water.
The Jets are there, They're the seventh overall pick and

the waiver wire priority, so they're just hell. And then
all of a sudden, the Jets caught three fishes in
the waiver wire pool and the biggest one they reeled
it in Won Nelly, is a six foot seven beast,
Jilannie Woods. And before I talk about anything with Jilanni Woods,
everybody in our Jets universe should give a massive shout

out to Connor Long. We've got a lot of Connors
in the Jets universe. Connor Rogers, right, we have Connor you.
But Conner Long deserves our love because on Tuesday, on cutday,
Connor Long and his sources unbelievable. He's getting taller than
me and all these sources too. It's unbelievable. It's happening
also fast. But on Tuesday he reported that there was

a lot of interest in Jolannie Woods, and specifically the
New York Jets were heavily interested, and his sources were right.
The Jets use the seventh overall pick waiver wire priority
to claim John Lonnie Woods, the tight end from the
Indianapolis cult. So hey, Conder Long, we see you, pal.
You are a rising star in this business, and I'm

sure that's not the first and last story you will break.
So apparently Connor Long has sources. Yes he does. Hey,
he's the one who broke the story yesterday. So I
want to give a big salute to Connor Long. Unfreaging, believable.
Great for Connor. I'm really proud of him, in all
seriousness before we get into the thing, really proud of him.
That's amazing that he can have conn Long sources already

at his age is spectacular. Eventually, we're not even gonna
be bringing up the age thing. It's it's meant as
a compliment because it's so impressive. I don't know what
the hell I was doing at his age, but I'll
tell you this wasn't breaking NFL stories, that's for sure.

I saw you recently surpass two thousand subscribers on your

growth in the Jets community, So salute to you, good sir,
And let's get into it, because Jolannie Woods is one
of the most fascinating players that entered the waiver wire pool.
One of the most fascinating players. This guy is six
foot seven a massive guy, six foot seven, two hundred

and fifty three pounds. He was the third round draft
choice of the Indianapolis Colts in the twenty twenty two
NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he showed a lot
of pop peer in fifteen games, recorded twenty five catches,
three hundred twelve yards and three touchdowns, and you're like, oh, baby,
maybe the Colts have something here now. Unfortunately, and this
is you know, everyone always says, well, Paul, why was
he in the waiver wire pool if he's so impressive. Well,

there's always warts on all these players, and you just
have to determine which words you're okay with. Jeelanni Woods
is not played a down over the last two seasons.
He missed the twenty twenty three season a lot of
hamstring injuries and twenty twenty four y had toad surgery.
So we haven't seen him, but what we did see
is him in the preseason this summer, Steven catches seventy

five yards across the three preseason contest. Aaron Glenn said yesterday
they did a press conference after the waiver claims. Quote,
huge tight end that's gonna help us as a blocker
and as a receiver end quote. And I'll tell you
this on Jeelannie Woods. A lot of people said, oh,
that means Jeremy Rutgerts, gone right. Well, no, no, Actually

the Jets didn't make three waiver claims. And let's talk
about all of them. I just talked about Joelanny Woods.
I'm excited, man, a big boy. But just hope he's healthy.
Let's knock all over the place. It's not all over
the place. That is crazy. So let's knock all over
the place and make sure the injuries are good. But
if that's good, boy, this is a very interesting player.
Here are the other two players the Jets claimed, and

both from the Kansas City Chiefs, linebacker Cam Jones and
offensive Tacklees Poleesa Pole s a poll by the way,
six foot five three or twenty three pounds. He had
joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in May.
The Washington State product lout just nine total pressures without
a sack on four hundred ninety eight pass blocking snaps

during his final collegiate thieth and earning in PFF's eighth
best pass blocking great among offensive tackles. And here was
interesting on the s Pole thing. Real quick, so s
a Pole people thought cleared waivers. They thought he did,
so he was getting ready to head back to the
Chiefs and then all of a sudden, s Pole was informed,

oh no, actually you were claimed by the Jets. So
he had to grab his stuff and then head here
to New York and Chiefs fans were going crazy on
social media because they thought they successfully got it back
to the practice squad. So there's a little bit of
drama yesterday at social media. But the Jets get a
promising offensive lineman thrown on the practice squad. So there
you go. Essa poll from the Kansas City Chiefs, and

then one more from the Chiefs that is linebacker Cam
Jones six two twenty seven pounds. He's in his third
season in the league after spending the last two years
in Kansas City. He joined originally as a UDFA in
twenty twenty three. Mostly a special teams contributor, he has
appeared in thirty four regular season games and four postseason games,
including last season Super Bowl. Aaron Glenn described him as

a quote very productive player, looking forward to him getting
with his linebacker crew, really making noise on special teams
for us end quote, So those are the three players
the Jets were able to acquire on the waiver wire,
and all of those guys immediately are on the fifty

their press, release so unless they made a, MISTAKE i
initially saw six to, seven and THEN i saw on
their press release just now AS i was reading it
