Speaker 2 (00:26):
Let's go, jud.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Put your seatbelts on, getting ready for the ride. We're
the freaking New York Jets. We're built for the shop.
What's going on? Everybody on Pauliston and Junior aka Boy Green,

(00:55):
I'm the New York Jets digital reporter Foreavy dot com.
Welcome to Boy Green Daily Daily York Jets video show,
also available wherever you get your podcast. We'll get to
our main topic in just a second. But we have
my co host here on us Saturday. It is none
other than hop on Pop. Yeah, so let's bring him in. Baby,
what's up? Pop? Hey? Now, what's going on? It's great

(01:18):
to have you on the program.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
I'd just like to share.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Look at this. Let's go full screen for you one second.
Here here we are, Yes, Austrian Jet fan, your package delivered, baby, nice.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Looking good looking good? Thank you very much, Thank you very.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Much, Yes, Austrian a beautiful gift from our number one
Austrian Jets fan, that's for sure. So pop, let's get
right into this. And oh boy, it's a former New
York Jet, no less, Brandon Eccles, who is now on
the Pittsburgh Steelers. He joined them in this top season.
Get an interesting quote on Justin Fields and the key

(01:53):
to the game. Let's throw this up from Chris Adamski
who says this, who shared the quote from Brandon Eckles
Steelers reporter quote. His legs are probably one of his
most dominant traits. So we just try to eliminate that
and force him to have to play quarterback. If we
do that, I think we should be good end quote. Yeah, hey,

(02:16):
s Brandon Eckles taking a shot?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, can you hear me?

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Can hear me?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, I can hear you now yep?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
So Actually, this is what everybody wants. This is what
the Jets want, This is what this moron wants. This
is what moron, this is what the Jet nation wants.
They want to see Justin Field show up and show out.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Now.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Obviously, we want him to use all the tools in
the toolbox in his personal toolbox and you definitely don't
take the running off the table, but there needs to
be this mixture, right. We don't want to force the
ball in his hand as he has to throw it
around the yard like a ron, and we want the
running crew to get some work in. But yeah, him

(03:06):
demonstrating playing quarterback is exactly what we want.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
So let me ask you this because some people are
debating this sort of in the universe, because essentially, what
Brandon Eckles is saying here is that Justin Fields is
a dynamic running quarterback. He's one of the most dynamic
running quarterbacks in the league. He is second all time
in single season rushing yards in his single season delivering
it not for a career, a single season. He is
the second most rushing arts all time, only behind Lamar Jackson.

(03:32):
So he's pretty good there. And what Brandon Eckles is
also saying is that bulloy that Justin Fields is pretty
inconsistent as quarterback. If we could get him to just
do that solely that, well, I think we're going to
be pretty good as a defense. That's our goal. Do
you take this quote that's on your screen as a
shot or not? Because some people are going back and
forth on whether it is or isn't.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Yeah, I'm not sure it's shot. I would tell you
that a lot of times. A couple of years ago,
people were saying that it's about Lamar Jacks, Right, there
was a there was a period of time where he
was not showing all the skills that we now know
he has, and they're like, well, we just need to
contain them and let.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Him throw the ball and then that'll sort itself out.
So is it a shot?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
I don't think he meant it as a shot, right?
Which is he on a scale of your grading his
ability as a running quarter back or as a pocket passer,
which is higher? And so yeah, obviously, in my opinion,
it's the running quarterback with the ability to throw, and
it's not the pocket passer. So obviously you'd want to

(04:35):
go make him play to his lesser qualified attributes, if
that makes sense. So yeah, I don't I don't see
it as a shot that it just makes sense. It's
what everybody says, right, what do you want to do?
You know, for this quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, what do you
want to do? You want to put pressure on him
and give him only one auction. It's up to throw
on the run. Now he can do it, but that's

(04:56):
not what's He's not Brett Favre, right, He's more like
Brett Statue.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
But anyways, I digress.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Well, yeah, so again you mentioned it in your opening soliloquy.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
There is that.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Brandon Eckles says, basically, the Steelers' goal is to get
Justin Fields to play quarterback, which is supposed to be
sort of insulting because Justin Fields apparently can or can't
play quarterback very well, is what people say. But let's
go back to this quote. This is from Aaron Glenn
in March, shortly after getting hired. Quote, We're going to
let him play quarterback. That's what he's always wanted to do.

(05:34):
I'm not saying he hasn't a chance to play that,
do that another to play that, or do that in
other places. That's not my issue. I know what I
want to do with that player. Obviously want to utilize
his legs, but want to give him a chance to
go out there and play quarterback. End quote. So it's
sort of funny, interesting, whatever. Apparently the Steelers and the

(05:54):
Jets want the same thing, Justin Fields to play quarterback.
So you know, I'm curious pop that Justin Field's results
in the preseason and training camp have been you know, uneven.
You know, there's been some good, there's been some bad.
What are the expectations as we head into the season opener?
Where now it counts? Now it's for real. Now the

(06:17):
Jets don't have to hide anything anymore. All the cards
are going to be on the table coming up tomorrow
at one o'clock. So I tell you this, what should
fair expectations be for Jet fans? If the Jets indeed
are going to let Justin Fields quote unquote play quarterback?

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:32):
So the real answer is this, right, So, when you
have Aaron Rodgers as your quarterback, you send in the play.
But literally he's gonna do whatever he wants, that's right, right, Yeah,
And that's not the case with Justin Fields, and that's
been the detriment or the reason his career has gone
the way it has. Sky Go Bears drafted him. Did

(06:54):
they design an offense that played to his strengths? No,
they did not, Right the Pittsburgh Steelers, who knew what
they did. They were like the Giants. This year, We're
just going to collect random quarterbacks and see how it works.
Out and so for Justin Fields to be successful, the
offensive coordinator, your buddy, the guy that's apparently twelve feet tall,

(07:18):
your buddy there. He's going to design a game plan
that it's a mixture of I'll call it harbaugh Esque
football because we've never seen Aaron Glenn's team take the
field before, but some hard nosed football, running the ball,
play action right, play to the tools you have on
the field, and that is a resounding three headed running game.

(07:42):
A talented wide receiver, a hope to be a transition
rookie at tight end. But that doesn't lend itself to
the offense we had last year, what I just said,
and then you have a bunch of question marks and
second widers here, so that doesn't lend itself. So it's
all about the play calling because you're not going to
let Justin Fields go out there and do whatever he wants, right,
There'll be times when he has options, So calling the

(08:04):
right game for him and playing to the you know,
you can't make a Sioux Flea with a fish mcmuggets
or whatever.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Right you've got to.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
You've got to you've got to build the ingredients to
the team that you have, build the recipe to the
ingredients yet.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
So what I'm trying to.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Say it was, it was quite a it was quite
a colorful analogy there. I'm still trying to figure out
what that means. But I'll tell you this. I'll tell
you this. Uh, people, We've got one more quote to
show here on this entire quarterback conversation here, so let's
throw it up. This is a head coach Aaron Glenn
when he was doing a conversation with the NFL Network
insider Judy Batista, longtime columnists who joined the show during

(08:46):
training campus shout out to Judy, uh and Aaron Glenn
explained to Judy that Justin Field's one of the things
that they really like about him. He has quiet confidence
about himself and quote, he can really throw the deep ball,
really really well. Obviously his legs are something that's dynamic,
not just in college but the NFL as well. I
just think he's ready to break out as a top

(09:06):
notch quarterback. So he's going to do everything he can
to be one of the better ones that we're going
to coach our asses off to make sure he does
a good job out there. End quote. And again for
proper context, this was a couple months ago, not that
anything of what he said would have changed during that time,
but he believes he could be that. And again you
mentioned it about previously Lamar Jackson. Now that's the loftiest

(09:27):
of comparisons, of course, because just Lamar Jackson. Excuse me,
while Bill Paullian's famous thing about calling him a running
back and all these other things, or running back masquerading
as a quarterback. You know, eventually, obviously he broke through
and is a multi time NFL MVP and one of
the best quarterbacks in all football. So he was able

(09:47):
to break through. So if I'm justin Fields, I'm sure
that's the poster that's on my wall. But justin Fields
is justin Fields, and we have to see what that
ceiling is. I believe this is the best situation he's
ever had, so we should see whatever that version is.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Absolutely, let's pump the brakes and lebar Jackson being one
of the best quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
He's he's a great regular season quarterback. He's won the
MVP twice the last time I checked. That's the most
Valuable Player, the best quarterback, the quarterback normally wins the MVP.
And he's done it twice.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
What do you mean hashtag rigged?

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Rigged? What do you mean hashtag rigged?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
How's he done in the playoffs?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
What color is the sky? Oh blue? That's an interesting
fun fact. I'm not sure what has to do with
this conversation.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
He's a phenomenal regular season quarterback. Anyways, we digress around
the clock here.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Yeah, but uh yeah, I think it's gonna be I
think it's gonna be interesting again. The play calling, you know,
I would I would hope that we're going to see,
you know, pounding the ball on my hope as we
see pounding the ball, Justin Field's throwing the ball around
the yard to Garrett Wilson and then one on a
play maybe you know, first play of the second half,

(11:02):
right after Agent zero has about seventy five yards rushing
the first half. Next first play of the second half,
the play action pull it out throw out to Arian
Smith who's sitting there in the end zone eating popcorn.
So that's what I want to see.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
I just can't wait because again, with all these Justin
Fields jokes and these elitist Steelers people and Steelers fans,
they don't think that Justin Fields can hit the broadside
of a bar. And so if I'm justin, I am
as motivated as anyone can ever be. They benched me,
they said, sorry, pal, sit your ass on the bench.
I don't care that you're foreign to you know, we're

(11:43):
going with the other guy. And then after the season
they said, I'm sorry, baby, I didn't mean to and
they did the whole Happy Gilmore skit. I'll trying to
get him back. So if I'm justin, I am as
motivated as I can be to show the Steelers particularly
but this entire season is sort of the audition that
I'm the quarterback that I know I could have always
been coming out of Ohio State. So we'll see if

(12:04):
that happens. By the way, everybody, make sure you guys
like the video. Hit subscribe here on YouTube if you're watching,
and here it is. We're doing this a couple of times.
A YouTube goal, a super chat goal. If we receive
one super chat of ten dollars more, it's all. We
already received a super chat. But if we receive a
single super chat of ten dollars or more in value,
my pop will react and grade the Jets chant from

(12:29):
Bob Lederer our Jets historian that he pulled that out
and now we have that forever in our video catalog.
So if we receive a ten dollars super chat or
greater pop will react and grade that accordingly.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, just for the record, I think if NC Green
was to given those five dollars, I think that would
still count.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
No, it's a YouTube thing, I'm saying. It's not me
deciding what counts. I'm saying YouTube.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
I see, I thought you was an iron fist.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
So nope, nope, But I'm saying, NCI grad, Sorry loser,
that doesn't count. No, it's his five dollars super chat
certainly as it's YouTube whether it counts for the goal
to click. So yeah, that's not me.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Oh so you won't do anything, It'll just automatically happen.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Well, I guess I do have to press the buttons,
but I'm not really sure. Any who, let's just get
to the super chat here. I'm just explaining how it works.
Any Who, here's a super cha. Thank you, NC Green,
who sends us in hitting the power ball tonight and
beating the Steelers would be the best parlay win. Ever,
there's no question about it, n C Green, So we're

(13:32):
rooting for you, certainly, Yeah, go ahead, pop.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Yeah, no.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
I was just wondering, so Vency Green said another five dollars.
You couldn't hit the button? Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Okay, just send another five dollars. Apparently you've upset my father.
As I'm trying to explain this, I don't know. I
didn't even get to explain the YouTube goal ahead.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
No, no, I got no no, go ahead?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Okay, no, no, no, please please please go ahead?

Speaker 2 (13:54):
What's no? I'm done. I just don't want him get screwed.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Over, screwed over. I didn't even what do you mean.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
I'm also not pressuring him because if you're known, maybe
the five dollars would have been ten dollars.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
But you announced it afterwards. That's all.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
The YouTube goal was set beforehand. It says it publicly
on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
All right, let's go movie.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
That's neither here nor there. But to answer your five dollars,
well placed, Thank you very much for supporting the show,
super chat, Nz Green. I would say this, there is
no better way to start this era for Aaron lenn
to beat the beat the guy that you threw out
the door, because there are gonna be some overarching things
here that happen, and perhaps the Jets are just screwed

(14:35):
no matter what, because if the Jets beat Aaron Rodgers,
oh we to celebrate your Super Bowl Week one losers.
And then if you lose a loll jantsey. You jumped
Aaron Rodgers and he came back to beat you, you suck.
So maybe we just won't get our credit either way.
But I'll tell you it's a jetsman. I don't give
back shit what they're saying outside the building. For me,

(14:57):
it's gonna be nothing like nobody's business when the Jets
beat the Steelers and I'm able to celebrate and react
in that proper way.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Yeah, we actually should name this game, by the way,
should make a name for the game, you know, like
the Ice Bowl or the Ice Game, or you have
the name for it. Sure, all right, it's the Felix
Hunger Bowl. Okay, the Felix Unger Bowl. And those people,

(15:26):
those old scorers, will probably get that, but I'll explain.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
For the newer people.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Felix Hunger was part of the odd couple from way
back in the day, Oscar Madison, Felix Hunger and Felix
Hunger became a roommate of Oscar mass and Oscar Massen
is a was a sloppy guy and Felix was a
very neat guy. And anyways, Felix Hunger was asked to
leave his residence by his wife. So this is a

(15:54):
battle of the Felix Hungers, two quarterbacks that were asked
to leave by their team fielding bowl.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
That was a very creative way to do that. And
speaking of creative, you've now officially bullied n C Green
into giving the super chat here. So I guess thanks,
I suppose. I'm not really sure if that's what I
should be doing here. But that's neither here nor there,
I suppose. So NC Green is sent in another super

(16:26):
chat here on the channel, so let's get to that
real quick. He said, all right, you got me beat
Pittsburgh and Rogers, So here's the normal. All right, So
there's the ten dollars required apparently of nature. So Pop,
I don't know if you saw this, okay, so this

(16:46):
will be your first reactor to it. Our Jets historian
and author, of course, of the Wonderful Placebook over here
beyond Broadway, Joe, the team that changed, you know, the
super Bowl team that changed football forever. Let's get to it.
Here's Bob Letterer's jet chance right.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
T yes, juts juts juts yes.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Yeah, that is d and WYFE for life by the way,
at the back end of that going yes, yes.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
Yes, juts juts juts yes, yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
A lot of hand motion. First off, your initial reaction
and then a great under Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
My my initial reaction is, uh, he gets a grade
of an A for enthusiasm. Oh great, okay, an A
for enthusiasm. All right, So if you take that. If
I just saw that clip on YouTube, it I might
mistake him for having a seizure or something of that
nature of the hand motions did not you know, he

(17:49):
couldn't be a member of the village people with those
hand motions.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
That's all I'll say.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
All right, what's your official grade.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
I'm gonna give him a B plus B plus.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Okay, that's very nice. By the way, NC Green, you
now have ten raffle tickets towards our contest for this month,
which I will flash on this green here real quick,
like here so you guys can see our prizes. In
speaking of Bob letter he actually is part of this
new prize pack thank you to Bad Show, who's been
donating some pretty cool, you know, gifts on top of

(18:24):
everything that we've been doing here. So without further ado,
here it is. This is it, And thank you NC
Green for that moment with our father there. That was
very nice. So here's all the items that someone will
win on October first. All you have to do is
spend three dollars here on the YouTube channel. You could
do that the way n C Green did with super chats.
You can do that with superstickers, gifted channel memberships and

(18:46):
all kinds of things. Here are all the items that
one person will win. A random vintage Jets player T
shirt blast in the past. You guys will love that surprise.
You guys get a New York Jets sideline hoodie, one
of a kind jetson banner with me my former co host,
Ty Butler of ESPA New York, New York Jets Polo.
And here's the Bob Letterer piece. A personalized autograph copy

(19:07):
of Beyond Broadway Joe, the Super Bowl team that changed football,
that was donated by Bad Shot. So here's what's going
to happen well on October first, where we draw whoever
that winner is and we get in contact with that person.
Bob Letter already has the book, and bad Chow's purchasing
the book and he's paying for the shipping and whatever.
Bob will signed the book and put whatever inscription you
would like in the book of your choosing. So I'm

(19:29):
sure we might get some creative stuff there next month.
So that has been donated. So a massive shout out
to Badshaw who donated that item already, to the other
items who already had here in the prize pool.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Yeah, now that's sweet. You know what he could you
should probably do.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (19:46):
He's put one of those special fangled what do they
call that, a QR code. He can put a QR
code in the front of the book and it take
you to him doing that jets chant. Yes, the I
don't know if you kind of looked like Madonna with the.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Oh ye te yes, juts juts juts.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Yes, yeah, he did kind of look like Madonna there.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah, there was there was an energy there certainly. So
there you go. That is our Raffle prize, which again
includes a Bob Lederer gift as well. Hilarious. All right,
thanks everybody for all your love and support so far.
Again like the video hit subscribe, a couple other things
I want to get to here, pop Cam Hayward again.
It's been a topsy turvy situation. I'll give you guys

(20:35):
the sped up, accelerated version. Okay, first team so actually
before even the first team All Pro last year, about
a year ago to the date, Cam Hayward agreed to
a new two year, twenty nine million dollar extension with
the Pittsburgh's Dealers team captain. Whoo, everyone's happy, Okay, Cam
Hayward has his season. He has a first team All
Pro season. He was amazing. Cam Hayward immediately comes back

(20:55):
to Stews says, amen, uh, my contract doesn't reflect what
I I just did. I want more money. Steelers and
him have a disagreement over that, and that sort of
dragged out this entire offseason where he did a mini
hold in, he did some holding out, and then he
was practicing. He wasn't practicing. It's been a bunch of hoopla.
At the beginning of this week, on his podcast, he
was asked by his co host, are you going to

(21:18):
be playing on Sunday? He said, we will see, and
it was sort of cryptic and Mike Tomlin spoke later
that day and said, oh, he's definitely playing. And so
there's been this sort of tay to tay all week,
and this was Cam Hayward yesterday. Let's throw this up
on the screen from her guy Chris Adamski, who covers
the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cam Hayward refused to commit to playing

(21:40):
in Sunday season opener. Now, he didn't say he wasn't playing.
When he was asked, are you going to play in
the game, he said I'm preparing and then he just
kept dodging the rest of it, saying, you know, we'll
see what happens. Who knows all this other jazz and
why this is important and says I found this statistic
right before the show started. I'll tweet this out later.

(22:01):
When Cam Hayward was on the field last year, the
Steelers were the second best team in the league in
yards per Carrey so run defense. When he was not
on the field, they were thirty first in the league.
So he is a very sizable needle mover as it
pertains to their run defense, and even at the ripe
age of thirty six, he is a very important dog

(22:22):
to their machine. Now, I will say this pop before
you even say anything. So obviously it's up in the
year whether or not he's going to play. What's not
up in the years. He's expected to be a limited
purchaseiment in this game either way. Because of this unevenness
of his football activity, he is not expected to play
the full gambit of the Snaps even if he does
play in this game. But Pop, what do you make

(22:44):
of all this?

Speaker 3 (22:45):
This goes back to you know this side isn't This
is as a righteous as side of this contract discussion
we've had many times as any other. Right, this is
not what typically happens right where someone immediately signs a
deal and then immediately right Uh Hawk two is it?
Or is it the Jalen carters it?

Speaker 2 (23:07):
But either way?

Speaker 5 (23:09):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (23:09):
And so you know, a contract's a contract. He's he's
been squishy, which makes the entire effort minimum value. Right,
It's not like any of these other players that have
held out and like they're all.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Into holding out.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
He's kind of like half asked it, if you will.
So his leverage is low, right because he has been participating,
you know.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
On off, on off.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
So I do think it will be significantly impactful if
he does not play. My gut feel is he will play.
But he's done this whole thing oddly, right. You. I
think if you sign the contract, you play, especially since
it was a lucrative contract and it was only last year,
but in general, I have the feeling if you sign

(23:55):
the contract, you play it. And there are things called
escalator clauses and there that you can build into the contract.
If I'm an all pro, that kicks in this ten
million dollar option. It's how the Jets intelligently got Tyron
Smith to come play for them. That's his whole contract
is like six million. He could make twenty he didn't,

(24:16):
but that's you know, it's really him and his agents.
If you wanted this, you could have literally had it.
I am confident the Pittsburgh Steelers would have inked the
deal that would have had these escalator cause causing your
contract and your agent fire him.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Right, he didn't do it.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
So it's unlikely the way he's kind of half asked
this that the Pittsburgh's gonna give him anything, and the
way he's done it, it's going to impact his play
one way or another.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
But I think he will play.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Two things here. First off, you're right, a lot of
people have been complaining about Hayward's agent must be terrible
because he could have included this in the contract and
did everything that you just said. Because apparently Cam Hayward's
defense for hey, guys, in the court of public opinion,
I don't know how you can't be on my side
that I'm coming back to the team seven months later
after signing this deal. Is Cam Hayward says in that meeting, right,

(25:08):
so they're talking about the extension and he's about to
sign this extension. Before he does, apparently this is Cam
hayward side of the story. He turns to people in
the room says, Hey, I'm gonna be back after this season,
after I have it all pro year. Everyone in the
room chuckles. Cam Hayward says, I was being dead serious that,
like I was going to come back to the table
after that, which again goes back to your point Pop

(25:30):
that again, if you so Confy is going to get this,
they should have worked it into the contract because then
there would have been those s colors. But that is
Cam Hayward's defense to all of this.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Yeah, right, I mean, it's like the Georgia Satellite song
keep your hand, you know, don't tell me no, why
is keep your hands to yourself?

Speaker 1 (25:45):
Right?

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Yeah, sure, they're gonna tell him whatever it's like on
prom night. Sure we're gonna be together forever. Okay, as
all as I get what I want. That's the owner, right, Yeah, sure, buddy,
whatever you say, Cam, come back next year. I just
signed this contract which guarantees none of it. And uh yeah,
I promise.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
I promise.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
So unbelievable that analogy there that wildly inappropriate, but I
will again repeat that staff for those who missed it
again camra Hayward. This from last season. He was the
first team All Pro. When he was on the field
for the Steelers, they were the second best in the
league in yards per carry. When he wasn't on the field,
they were thirty first. He is an absolute needle mover,
both from a run defense perspective and pass rest perspective.

(26:29):
He had eight sacks last year, twenty quarterback hits and
also affected the game. It's the sneaky ways, the eleven
pass deflections where that can result in interceptions or disruptions
of offensive flow and things of that nature. We have
a super to my shipmate. Yeah, there you go, my shipmate.
You can't to meet him. So two things here. First off,
we have to do this and also, just in case

(26:55):
he was doing it for one of these t.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Yes juts juts goods Yes.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Which is dean wife lived through at the end of
that club. I'll never get tired of that ten dollar
super chat. Thank you D and Y for life for
sending this along. I can't wait. That is now eight
raffle tickets for our contest that is reflected on the
scrolling ticker. Good morning, gents. Made it to Dirty Jersey
game ready because he's of course going to be there
for the season opener tomorrow. I would love to see

(27:24):
play Action Bomb first play. I one hundred percent agree. Wow,
Chef keV hitting up clover Leaf Tavern later for dinner.
If you're listening j Ets Jets, Jets Jets again, I
highly recommended. Me and my family got to go over.
We were going over for a completely different reason and
then we were just there and Chef gets said, hey,
if you want to come over, and I'm like, oh man,
I got I can't. I can't decline an invite from

(27:45):
Chef Kevin Gilbert to his restaurant, and oh my goodness,
we had appetizers, we had entrees. I mean, we had
it all. So Chef keV obviously does a terrific job.
So if you guys are in the area, please support
our guy, Chef keV and a mon a month ago
from yester or month.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Now, okay, don't while you're popping a brain cell. Twenty
eight days from today, we're gonna have the meet up
at the clover Leaf Tavern.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
There you go, that's the proper math. I was struggling
there a bit, so yes, we will have the meet
and greet the night before. That is Saturday, October fourth,
so that'll be great. That's seven thirty at night. And again,
if you guys are just so interesting in going to that,
we were running out of spots. Well, once the spots
are gone, they're gone. That's the only thing we have available.
Tailgate sold out, game sold out. From our perspective, you

(28:29):
could go buy Jet's Cowboys tickets yourself from out there
in the universe. We have no more tailgate tickets. A
few more people have asked, I'm sorry. I told Chef
Kevin Gilbert a number for people that are going, and
I don't want to keep changing that number. He is
to prepare the food and everything else that's going on,
so people, Unfortunately we have no more of those tickets
to sell, but if you like to hang out with
all of us while we're down there again, we will
be doing a meet and greet the night before that

(28:51):
is Saturday, October fourth, and if you have any interest
in I'll flash this on the screen real quick. Here
is the email. Excuse me, PAULA Esden Junior at gmail
dot com. The first name, middle initial, last name jargmail
dot com. Reach out to me if you're like, wholl
meet Greed sounds cool. I'm going to be in the area.
This is if you're going to the game or not.

(29:12):
You know, if you're going to the game and you're
already in the area, why wouldn't you come to this?
But it's also for people locally that for some reason
didn't go to the game, but you want to come
and hang out with us. I can give you more
information if you reach out via email. So keep that
in mind as we get a little bit closer to
this event. But a big shout out here. You got
your shipmate. You're going to get to meet for the
first time. Pop DNY for life.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Hey, no, it's going to be great.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
By the way, boy Green, all the water and napkins
you can eat, drink and use will be provided by
boy Green.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
That is absolutely sort of true. Yes, all of that
will be available. You guys will be allowed to purchase
your own food or drink. It won't be an catered event.
Your own food and drink on your own tab. Feel free.
You guys can take care of that yourselves. But I
will be there, yes, so that'll be happening. Yeah, hey,
now where's your Wait a minute, is your other brother

(30:05):
around here somewhere? Not yet, although I just received a text.
Let me see what this text says. Let me see. Okay,
all right, your other son's having some problems and you
thought I was the one that was this or that,
but I did did send it to him, so we'll
see if he can figure out how that operates. But

(30:27):
another big shout out here to d NY for life.
Why we're waiting for my other brother from another mother
trying to figure out how to log in and hit
up in here, which he should be able to do
in any minute, because we have a surprise guest coming.
Let's play this real quick. Pop one of the keys. Yeah,
go ahead, you have another super chat in here. Oh
do I okay, let me let me take a quick peek.

(30:48):
If that did not Oh yes, so okay, it didn't
pop up for me. Thank you very much. All right,
let's go to it here. Thank you for that, Pop,
appreciate it well. Ah lou b are super Jets fan
extraordinaire with a two dollars super chat, he says, I'm
so nervous for tomorrow, BG. I sort of said it

(31:11):
earlier with all the different reactions we could have to
this Jet stealers game of like, if the Jets win,
what does that mean? And all the things we talk about.
If the Jets lose, what does it mean in all
the factors and all the predictions. Most of the predictions
I'm seeing Pop from the panel of people out there
in the universes are picking the Steelers. So they seem

(31:31):
to be the ESPN FPI, that's a Football Power Index
favorite of this point. They're the favorite by Vegas, They're
the favorite by all these analytics. So I don't know
if that's good news or bad news, but we'll see
what happened. So I'm nervous too. I'm nervous. I'm excited again.
If you are nervous. That means you care. That means
the you know, the engines reving in there ahead of
this game. And that's why we all do this. For

(31:53):
these sixty minute games on a week to week basis,
you could win, you could lose, you could tie, as
will formed Donovan McNabb. All kinds of things can happen.
But that's what it's all about, that we just sort
of lay all our cards on the table. We hope
for the best Pop.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Yes, it's gonna be exciting Jets worldwide.

Speaker 5 (32:12):
You heard incorrectly.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Oh okay, let me let me address that comment here
in just a second. By the way, Louis, super Jets fan,
you now have a raffle ticket to our contest. So
let me see him trying to catch up on everything here.
What did what did Jets war White say?

Speaker 3 (32:30):
He said?

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Let's see what he said? He said?

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Oh, I heard first round was on Pop.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Yes it the uh, the disabled retired veteran in the
room will not be buying the first round of drinks.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Okay, there you have it, uh real quick, and then
we're gonna bring well, let's just bring them on and
then we'll do this bit. Your other son has arrived.
It is d James Woody, who.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Is hello pretty much here When you guys are asking
about me, you know I was I was here, I
was here.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
But you know all good.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
Are you guys doing good?

Speaker 4 (33:04):
Morning?

Speaker 5 (33:04):
Mean Familia?

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yes? Yeah, Ohannah, you know.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Family reunion in four weeks.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Wait, it's going to be great. I can't wait. Brothers, cousins, sisters, nephews,
all in between are going to be there now. Wooty,
of course you're here to grace us with your presence,
but also for some Wooty three action, which is a
staple of of course your brand, and how it's sort

(33:36):
of you know, assimilated here with Boy Green Daily. And
before we get there, I do just want to play
this quick clip because this may come into play with
some Woody three or wootyology. It could be out there
in the universe. Mina Chimes talked about what could be
a key to the game. Let's go to her from
NFL arts.

Speaker 6 (33:54):
The other thing I think I'm interested in from the
Jets perspective, are they gonna heat them up? Last year,
Aaron Rodgers was really bad against the Blitz thirtieth and
QBR thirty third in yards per attempt. And if there's
one thing I know about Aaron Glenn, their new head coach,
and Steve Wolks, their defensive coordinator, they love sending extra rushers.

(34:14):
You gotta think they're gonna ask Sas Gardner to man
up DK Metcalf for much of this game. So I
think the question is, Okay, if you send pressure, can
you get home? And also can you take away the
other answers like John new Smith and whatnot? Because Aaron
Rodgers has proven to be quite susceptible against that at
this point in his career.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
I know math isn't my top thing or second thing
or third thing, but many times said that Aaron Rodgers
against the Blitz was thirty third and yards per attempt.
How many teams are in the NFL?

Speaker 4 (34:43):
Again?

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Oh Rogers?

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Yikes?

Speaker 1 (34:49):
So hey, she says, are they going to eat him up?
Rhetorical question Farley, Hell yeah, turn up the heat baby
on all of the Rogers. That's for dang sure. Wooty,
come on now it's time for the Week one version.
We are all your students. We are here to learn,

(35:10):
and we yearn for the information that you are here
to provide. Wooty with the Wooty three. Please, before we
even start this, we're gonna do this on a week
to week basis. You're gonna be coming in here to
drop your wootyology. And for those who are uninitiated, those
poor animals, explain what Wooty three is all about.

Speaker 5 (35:31):
Absolutely. I mean, you see all the you know, the
main storylines ESPN and feeding you NFL network. You know
they talking about this, they talking about that. But when
you really sit down and look at the game, these
are three things and I'm that I'm saying, are worth
looking at during the game because they could end up

(35:54):
being very impactful. All right, I've been doing this now
for about four years, I would say, and because of this,
you know, looking for different things, you know, it's easy
to not get surprised when certain things happen. I would
say the biggest claim to fame so far is not

(36:14):
being surprised with the Mike White game against the Bengals,
you know, because I saw some things the previous week
and I said, all right, it's worth looking at this kid.
I think he can ball out. So it's really taking
rational analysis. And I know sometimes we got in trouble
with that boy Green, but that's why we're here. We're

(36:35):
here for the Woody algy rational analysis to be able
to say, Okay, these three things are worth looking at.
And I love your foresight, boy Green, because we will
be talking about Aaron Rodgers in that pocket during.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
This Okay, well, I'm very much looking forward to it.
So without further ado, let's bring it up here. We're
gonna go piece by piece through this thing. So week
one three thinks you're looking at for this Jets Dealers
game that could have an impact. So let's start off
there with that. Number one.

Speaker 5 (37:06):
Would he absolutely ionic bond, iconic bond? Either way, we're
talking about chemistry stream For those who have taken the course,
this is this is super simple man. Number three, well,
I guess.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
I mean, well, I guess that's true.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
But number one, but uh.

Speaker 5 (37:32):
Yeah, I mean this is one that I've heard the
fan base. I've heard you yourself talk about it before
he was even a Jet bring back.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
You know, the the.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
Chemistry, you know, the old college bond. You know Justin Fields,
Garrett Wilson, you know they were cooking it up and
I just you know, didn't see it. I don't know
if you have the other screenshot I sent you boy Green,
But that pretty much sums up, you know, his college career.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
I mean.

Speaker 5 (38:03):
He didn't even have you know, seven hundred and fifty
yards in a season with Fields. The season that got
him drafted was a c. J. Stroud season where he
had a thousand yards, he had twelve touchdowns. He didn't
even have two touchdowns in two years with Fields. So
I'm not sure what chemistry all was talking about. Then

(38:24):
we go to you know something that I can uh
here it is so yeah, I mean, come on, what
is then?

Speaker 3 (38:35):
Hey?

Speaker 5 (38:35):
CJ. Stroud?

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Was it?

Speaker 4 (38:37):
Jack?

Speaker 5 (38:38):
I'll be all up in there, all up in the lamb.
I'll be Walter White with it, talking about the chemistry
between you know, Garrett and his college QB. But the
chemistry with Fields. I'm not sure if we should be
too hype for you know, less than six hundred yards
a season. But here, right now we talk. We're talking

(38:58):
the pros season. Garrett is obviously immensely talented. He's able
to catch footballs from a lot of different guys. Apparently
one of those guys is not justin fields, because for
the first time in his career, he went catchless in
the preseason. Even though he called passes from Mike White,
called passes from Zach Wilson, caught a touchdown from Aaron Rodgers.

(39:20):
So I ain't ever seen the chemistry yet, but if
there's a time to see it, now would be the time.
If you watch the afternoon show with us. We spoke
with Mike nick Castro sorry, oh boy, dream means Moody
Tuesdays and Thursdays at three and Mike ni Castro Steelers expert.

(39:44):
He's a Bleacher Report contributor. He talked about how Jalen
Ramsey was about to shadow Garrett line up wherever Garrett goes,
and I didn't want to say to her. I didn't
want to break it to him. But you know, that's
kind of bad news bears for the Steelers because Garrett
Wilson has been fucking Jalen Ramsey, I mean cooking barbecue
chicken Jalen Ramsey last year. In the two games that

(40:07):
they played all right, specifically when Ramsey was covering him,
Garrett Wilson had one hundred and thirty seven yards was
drawn penalties.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
I mean it was.

Speaker 5 (40:20):
It was unbelievable. Unbelievable, only one incompletion, one path breakup
in the targets that Garrett received in those two games.
So if there is a game, if there is a
matchup that we should be seeing Garrett Wilson, Justin Field's connection,
it is this matchup. Because Garrett, we already know he's

(40:44):
gonna cook Jalen Ramsey. He will be open. The question
is can Justin Fields throw him accurate balls more than
once more than twice? And that remains to be seen.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Sety reaction to that, Yeah, I with all due respect,
which which as soon as you say that, uh uh,
Woody has put factual things up there. But it's too
soon to call. It's a little early.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
It is good to see this.

Speaker 3 (41:17):
I think they will have the chemistry and uh, it'll
really be do the Steelers, you know, uh, you know,
gang up on Garrett Wilson even allow you know him
to be Hopefully Justin doesn't throw the ball, force the
ball in there. But if he's open, I think Justin
Field's again the ball. But if I'm the Pittsburgh Steelers,

(41:37):
I quadruple covered Garrett Wilson because no one else has
showed me they can do anything, and and they might,
but until they do, right, Garrett Wilson's not doing anything,
I would. My goal would be, you know, one or
two catches for Zip and Pip yards uh, and then
let somebody else show up and show out.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Otherwise, make justin field throw.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
It to those other mcgoo's at wide receiver mcgew's.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (42:05):
All right, yeah, that's how much I think they pronounced it.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
But oh hey, now all right, duella, let's uh, let's
get into our next wootyology here.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
You don't have to zoom in on that big sack.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
Yeah, sorry, I am, I can't.

Speaker 5 (42:29):
I even tried to spell it differently.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
I appreciate that, but that didn't happen.

Speaker 5 (42:35):
So number two, So here's a fun fact. Like I said,
I'm always full of fun facts. Maybe you know the
last one wasn't fun to learn. This one should be
fun because you guys hate Aaron Rodgers. Now, the last
time he was not set in a game was January first,
twenty two. You know, even in the game he only

(42:58):
played four play I mean he went down on a sack. Right,
so he has been sacked a whole bunch who sacked
forty times last season. And of course, right they're gonna
bring the house. I'm sure they're gonna get pressure they're
gonna get sacks. But the one person I want to
focus on is Will McDonald, a guy who you guys,

(43:22):
my guy. If I asked you guys week seven, your
thoughts on Will McDonald, y'all thought he was you know,
Lawrence Taylor with that early production and you know, like
this said started hot. He only had a sack in
one of the last ten games, okay nine in the
last ten he does zero zero, And for me, you know,

(43:45):
when that was first, I think you actually first brought
that to my attention, boy Green, and when I what
I was thinking when he said it was, oh, it
was his boy, Salah, you know, the guy who drafted him,
the guy who had the faith in him. You know,
it was kind of a surprise pick at the time.
He had six sacks in five weeks, and then in
the remaining weeks, you know, he had four four and

(44:07):
a half. And now he was specifically mentioned by Aaron Glenn.
It was actually you who shared the clip where he
went viral on Twitter of I can't remember who was asking,
but they said, oh, you know, now he's got some

(44:28):
power moves and now we're talking coach. I'm a coach.
I'm coach so now Aaron Glenn is talking about coaching coaching, Well,
Aaron Glenn, that's what you're saying. You're you're coaching him up.
He was, he was, you know, not being coached well before. Okay,
let's see your guy Will McDonald Can he get us sack?

Speaker 1 (44:49):
E I E I?

Speaker 5 (44:50):
Oh all right, we like we know he gets sacks
and bunches. As a matter of fact, he had just
as many games last year with multiple sets as he
did with just one. So the boy loves against and bungeones.
Can he get one? Can he get two on this
forty year old man who you know is going to
be sacked at least once during this game.

Speaker 1 (45:11):
Well, I was listening because I've been trying to do
some you know, obviously extra breakdowns and viewing as much
Steeler stuff as I can. And one of the things
that Steelers people were bringing up, of course, is one
of the people Will mcdonk could be going against, which
is Proderick Jones, who everyone thought the Patriots screwed the
Jets by letting the Steelers trade up for less to
get him, and that was their target. And Broderick Jones

(45:34):
has been a traffic hone and Will McDonald does a
double digit sack season on his ledger, so I you know,
that's the matchup of matchups. And Broderick Jones, who's been
left tackle, right tackle, left tackle, right tackle, he's been
bouncing all over the place. This is going to be
a great opportunity for Will McDonald to say hello, how
you do it and introduce himself and Prodick Jones called

(45:57):
Will McDonald gumby like earlier this week when he was
asked about him and shimmied his shoulders when he said
that it was it was a little disturbing. I'm going
to be honest, but that's neither here nor there. So no,
I think there's gonna be a lot of opportunities and
go to the other side. Troy Fount. Now this is
a guy who played like one game last year because
of injuries, So there are there is there's some advantages
to take advantage of, as you highlighted here with Woody

(46:22):
number two. Pop any thoughts here.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
Yeah, I'll tell you that I would love and I
would wait, as I said before play action, first first
possession of the second half. What I would love is
the first snap of the game where the decrepit one
step back a corner blitz from his blind side and
do a reenactment. Maybe we'll wait for the fourth play

(46:49):
to run that blitz, just to kind of go full
circle there. But yeah, rack him up, hit him, and
don't hit him late, of course, hit him to hurt him.
Don't hit him with intents, but hit him squarely.

Speaker 5 (47:07):
That's a great way to put it.

Speaker 1 (47:09):
Good advice, Good advice. All right, So we've got one
last piece of business to get to years number three,
and it is number three this time. I've been told
that by the producers in my ears, So let's go
to it. John U sixty seconds. That name sounds too familiar.

Speaker 5 (47:27):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, this is one of the few
times that I've had to pivot in Woody three history. Obviously,
we knew the matchup for a long time, you know, Jets, Steelers,
who was playing.

Speaker 4 (47:40):
So this was.

Speaker 5 (47:41):
Originally going to be something about the run game. Can
we establish, you know, our identity against such a great defense.
But then a couple of things happened in the last
week that made me think about this. Because boy Green,
you were talking about the Jets elite defense. You said,
all grow on every level. What's stopping us from being

(48:03):
better than the you know, eighty five Bears. And then no, no, no, no,
I'm pretty sure word for word what he said. But
then with our guy Mike Nicastro on Boy Greeny Swooty
Tuesdays and Thursdays at three pm, he mentioned how John
WHU Smith was, you know, being lined up everywhere. He's

(48:25):
more than just a tight end, all right, he wants
to be more than just a friend. He is all
over the place, all over the field, making place and
then to tomp it all off. I see a clip
that my friend I can't remember who was, he shared
on social media, Mike Tomlin talking about, you know how

(48:45):
the wide receiver to conversation is overrated, and he specifically
mentioned John who right there a lot and just so okay.
So apparently John H. Smith is about to have you know,
an all time seasons right now. And when you look
at what he did against the Jets last year, I
mean every time he played against us he scored a touchdown.

(49:09):
I am sure that is a trend that all of
us want to end immediately. So after all of that,
just boom boom, boom, boom boom, I said, I gotta
I gotta acknowledge, you know, the John Smith in the
room not my best title, arguably could be the worst
in the in the four years of Wooty three history.

(49:31):
You know, I'm honest, that's that's my problem, right because
that probably probably is the worst one. But it remains
to be said, or it's worth saying that John U.
Smith is somebody who's worth, you know, looking at. I'm
not at all worried about Sauce and DK. Sauce has

(49:54):
pretty much dominated DK every single time they faced. And then,
you know, kind of to what Pop said about the
Jets where the Steelers, you you know, you're thinking, oh,
you know, there's nobody else you know lot DK and
and it's done. But John new Smith, like I don't
know what they're about to see. And I'm sure Rogers,

(50:14):
you know, I know he's over whatever, but I'm sure
he saw like John new Smith score on his team
multiple times last year and he's thinking now that their
teammates like, oh, you remember that play where you know
you did this, and yeah, let's see if we can
run that right now? Like that, like that is the
beauty of having someone like Aaron Rodgers on your team.

(50:35):
And I think that is something that they're going to
try to do. Hopefully. You know, we got an answer,
but without knowing AG's playing, which you know as you
already see him talk to the media, he's not trying
to reveal his plan to nobody. You know, it's worth
being I don't want to say nervous, but worth looking at,

(50:55):
which is what I'm saying. Three things worth looking at
during the game. Just see what's going on.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Well, Woody. First off, a round of applause for the
initial Woody three to kick off the twenty twenty five season. Yeah,
there you go, little around of applause, So Woody, thank
you for that. For folks that are watching this either
live or in what I'm about to describe, this will
also be uploaded as a separate package that you guys

(51:24):
can see the Wooty three all to itself. It'll be
cut up and uploaded so you guys will be able
to get just that thirty minutes of Wooty three action
that'll be available in our video section, and it will
also be you know, connected with a take flight talk
Show'm looking forward to that as well.

Speaker 2 (51:40):
Go ahead, pop a couple things, Sarre.

Speaker 3 (51:42):
Did you just say that you're gonna make Woody's package
available isolated, so anyone that was interested in thinking a
gander a specific at his pack. Anyways, John new Smith
just needs to hope he doesn't end up on the
Rogers Island, which is different than Revis Island. Right, if

(52:03):
Rogers doesn't like you, he doesn't he doesn't throw you
the ball. And we know that he has a and
the opposite of affinity. He does not have an affinity
to throw the ball to the tight ends. And so
there's a couple of things that may be working against
John new Smith.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
Not a weapon.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
I think he's a phenomenal weapon of great contribution. And
the Jets are very Steelers and Jets are very similar
to that with a with a great number one wide
receiver and then anyone any is everyone else out there
in the wide receiver room and uh and a pretty
solid tight end, so that that balance is interesting. But
we all know if Rogers doesn't like the color socks

(52:41):
you wore that day, he's not gonna throw you the ball.
So hopefully he can call a coordinate get the right
socks on, and then Rogers can pay the right amount
of attention to John New's package as everyone else will
to Woody's package later.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
That I guess that could come into play, who knows.
I will also say this, since we're in the wide
receiver two conversation that thankfully and a lot of people
will say this, then, thank god, Paul boy green Esden
over here, isn't the Jets GM And I'm sure Woody
would say that based on all the moves I want
the Jets to make on a week to week basis. Well,
one bullet they dodged from not listening to me was

(53:21):
a Marii Cooper, your former boy there pop. He joined
the Raiders at the end of training camp and then
he retired right before the season, and apparently he didn't
have it anymore. And old practice clips, old clips of
the practice over the last two weeks are resurfacing that
he looked like he was dogging it during routes and stuff,
so it sounded like he was struggling to get back
into football shape. So apparently coming off the worst year

(53:44):
of his career in receptions, yards and touchdowns was not
a blip on the radar, but rather an indication that
he was burnt toast. So Jets, they still don't have
a wide receiver two well, we know all Mary Cooper
wouldn't have solved those problems, so that update arrive.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
Yeah, Father Time remains undefeated.

Speaker 1 (54:05):
It certainly seems that way. Well, let's end here boys
our predictions. Let's go around the room and give our
predictions for Jets, Steelers. Of course, we'll have a game
day episode tomorrow. There's a ton of coverage coming tomorrow,
so we have Boy Green Daily tomorrow morning with NFL
insider Matt Lombardo. We're going to do a live watch
party for the entire game where I'll be on and
you guys can call into the show and join me

(54:26):
throughout the program, and then as soon as the game ends,
we will end that stream and start up post game stream.
So basically, I'm going to be chained to my desk
for twenty four hours tomorrow and you guys can watch
it on camera. So that will be happening. But let's
go around and make sure that we go around for
our predictions here. So Woody, would we have to you're

(54:48):
the great guest, You're one of the famed sons of
hop on pop over here, So why don't you kick
us off with your prediction for New York Jets. Pittsburgh
Steelers and one hundred dollars you have on the line
on this game.

Speaker 5 (55:03):
Well, if you've seen Boyd Green Meet Swooties, you know
the show Tuesdays and Thursdays at three p m h.
And he saw the one that on Thursday, you will
know my exact answer because it has not changed looking
through the numbers. I should feel even more confident actually
in the in the score that I've chosen pretty much.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
You know, I do think.

Speaker 5 (55:33):
Just a power of will and I Q you know,
Rogers is gonna score a touch He's gonna he's gonna
he's gonna score.

Speaker 4 (55:40):
Touch on that.

Speaker 5 (55:43):
I cannot say the same as confidently for Justin Fields.
I do think he's gonna score a touchdown. But it's
not like I wouldn't like bet money like I I
am going to hit a FanDuel maybe even after this
and you know that Aaron Rodgers one plus passing touchdown.
But anyway, with that being said, you well, don't give

(56:07):
it to me because I don't want it. But seventeen
Steelers thirteen Jets, that is that is my prediction. We're
trying to be accurate as accurate as possible. That's that's
what I'm expecting.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
To see and apparently expecting to see one hundred dollars
more in your wallet.

Speaker 2 (56:22):
Then that would be I.

Speaker 5 (56:24):
Mean, that's not why I'm making the prediction. There's nothing
to do with anything. That was just you know, one
of our guys just feeling just feeling himself, I want,
you know, and now you know he's gonna be feeling
a little bit lighter, you know. But yeah, that has

(56:45):
absolutely nothing to do with the announcers on the game.

Speaker 1 (56:47):
Absolutely. All right, Pop, let's go to you next day.
Your Jet Steelers official prediction is what.

Speaker 3 (56:52):
Yeah, So I'm going to give you an official prediction
and then I'm going to give you a.

Speaker 2 (56:56):
Prop bet that those people can go out there, Okay, Yeah,
And so.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
My prediction is contingent upon Aaron Glenn doing what he
should do, pounding the ball, play action, passing right, getting
after Granny Panties out there across the field from him.
And so with all that being said, I believe it'll
be seventeen fourteen.

Speaker 1 (57:27):
J E.

Speaker 4 (57:28):
T s Oh.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (57:31):
The prop bet is Granny Panties does not finish the game,
he's knocked out of the game. Aaron Rodgers does not
finish the game. I'm not saying he's carted off the field,
but he may be escorted.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
Off the field. I don't think he finished. I think
he gets injured, doesn't finish the game.

Speaker 4 (57:47):
Day Yes, juts, Jets juts. Yes.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
Yeah. Wow, that's sick. That is absolutely sick. All right,
So well, hey, I love your crystal ball spoiler alert
like predictions, but all right, let's get down to business here.
Let's get down to business. It's the Jets, it's the Steelers,
and the Jets are clearly winning this game. The only

(58:15):
thing to figure out is what's the score gonna be?
And to me, it's gonna be twenty one to sixteen.
The New York Jets beat the Pittsburgh Steelers Week one
and go to one and all the season and sent
Aaron Rodgers candy ass back to Pittsburgh with a big
fat lbaby. Yes, very good, we're aligned. Whatdy?

Speaker 5 (58:44):
I just I love your the numbers that you be
coming up with. Not to say that sixteen, you know,
it's just sure, this is funny, but yeah, that would
be that'd be nice. That'd be nice to see, you know.
I got Chris Boswell and Fantasy so all those who
goes yeah, yeah, I be I would be hyped. I'll

(59:04):
be hyped.

Speaker 1 (59:05):
Well, I'm here too, please, that's how I do. So
before we finish off the show, let's do this pop
because of course every time that you're on and both
of your sons here feel exactly the same about this
as the Wounded Warrior Project. So let's pop this up
on the screen. You're doing a wonderful thing here and

(59:26):
at the tailgate that all of us will be at
cheerings and doing jet chants, will reveal the winner to this.
This is the hop On if you're just hearing about this,
this is the hop On Pop Wounded Warrior Project. Fifty
to fifty Raffle. Here's what's going on. Every time you
guys buy a raffle ticket and they're a dollar apiece,
just a dollar. So if you spend fifty dollars in this,

(59:48):
you get fifty raffle tickets, and obviously the increments go
up or down from there. Fifty percent of the proceeds
of what we're raising goes to the Wounded Warrior Project,
which I'll have my father talk about here in a second.
And percent of the proceeds will go to whoever the
winner is of this contest. Again, if you just spend
a single dollar, you'll be eligible for the entire your
entire half of the money. But this is for churity,

(01:00:10):
so hopefully you can be even more generous with your
money if you're able to and you're in the financial
position to do so. The top donator from this contest,
whoever gives the most money and pop will get an
update from you here in a second on where those
where those where that leader board stands. But we're doing
something special for the top donator and they will receive
a special surprise gift package. And as you saw last

(01:00:34):
month or number one Ouscari and jet Fan, who one
of our favorites, especially on boy Guren meets Wooty of course,
but also here on a boy Green Daily is just
because you donate the most or you have the most
does not always guarantee victory. But for this specific contest,
we want to make sure that we highlight that winner.
These this raffle money is exclusively via venmo or PayPal. People,

(01:00:56):
any of your normal contributions to YouTube does not come
into play this, so please keep that mind. I like
making that very clear and very transparent. If you'd like
to donate to this. It is Venmo at Paul hythan
Es did p A U L hyphen e sd on
Venmo on PayPal. It's all together, no spaces, no underscores,
no no nothing. Hop on Pop twenty two. That is

(01:01:18):
it on PayPal. So if you send again a single dollar,
you get a raffle ticket. You spend fifty, it's fifty
fifty raffle tickets. One hundred dollars, it's one hundred raffle tickets.
So please continue to donate. So, first off, Pop, can
you speak on for people who are uninitiated on what
the Wounded Warrior Project is all about? And I'm sure
that'll you know for me if I didn't know what

(01:01:41):
it was, and after you explain it, that would definitely
get me to be donating to this very important cause.

Speaker 4 (01:01:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
Absolutely, I'm gonna do a brief what wind worries about
the top three, and then I'm gonna, as the youngsters say,
I've got a dip. But I would say the Wounded
Warriors is a charity about filling the gaps or the
VA does not take care of. It helps in many
ways with the support of our veterans that come back

(01:02:09):
from deployment or their service, not the way they entered.
So it does a lot of good charity, whether it's
you know, getting support, mental or physical assistance to the
veterans and taking care of those who take care of
us and keep us free and the and the best

(01:02:31):
nation in the world. Just so you know, the top
three currently are number one Austinion Jets Fan at one
hundred and sixty one point seven to eight raffle tickets,
Phil Zo and Shad Johnson. Those are the top three.
We currently have raised seven and eighty seven dollars for
the wounded warriors.

Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
That is, that is phenomenal and very deserving of this.
This is excellent and I just want to thank and
we all know this, but the Jets community is a
very special place and when causes and things happen, or
people are need or we do charity efforts, they always

(01:03:14):
step up to the plate. So obviously, very moving, very awesome,
and all of those things. So Pop, thank you for
the update on the wrath. And again, guys, this goes
all the way through Saturday, October fourth, and Pop, We're
we're all gonna end the show here, So Pop, if
you have to dip right now, go ahead, all right,

(01:03:35):
okay j G S let's go all right there he is.
You know, we're this show in general. I was about
to end, but pop had to dip. But I will
say again, I want to give another special shout out
to everyone that's supported so far. That's so crazy, nearly
eight hundred dollars for this. You know, this charitable effort
is very meaningful and I really appreciate it you guys,

(01:03:55):
so thank you so much. I love what we could
do charity efforts like this, and thank you every one
who's contributed, uh so far. And Woody, we are less
than a month away from the tailgate and from the
meet and greet and everything else, so it's gonna be
uh pretty special. Do you have any final thoughts here
to sign us off here on the program?

Speaker 5 (01:04:16):
Hey, I mean it's crazy to think, like like you
just said, less than a month away from that, but
there's so many games in between now and then that
are about to be played, right, Yeah, you know, it's
it's crazy how quickly the season goes. So we got
to enjoy every game every week and all these shows

(01:04:38):
you know that we're putting in, putting out to you know,
celebrate our team, celebrate you know, the the guys that
you know lift us up on Sundays. Sometimes you know,
let us down on Sunday. But you know, definitely excited
for the tailgate. That's not even a question. But you know,

(01:05:00):
let's let's go. I mean, after watching you know, Thursday,
you know, I was, I was hyped until the lightning
struck and then you know, then you know, whatever delayed
that was crazy. But what it did though, like that
first half though, you know, I was like, damn, I
can't wait till this is my team, you know, yeah, right, yeah,

(01:05:24):
let's get it.

Speaker 1 (01:05:25):
Well, I'll tell you guys this. I know this show
is just an hour today, but we had a two
and a half hour Boy Green Daily yesterday and I
will be on for five plus hours tomorrow. That's gonna
be a hell of a time. But look at this
to end our number one Austrian jet fan baby gifting
a five pack of Boy Green Coffee Club memberships. Hey down,

(01:05:48):
and every time five memberships are more gifted. Well, Kevin James.

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
Kevin James, I just got three things to say.

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
God bless our troops, God bless America, and gentlemen.

Speaker 5 (01:06:03):
Start.

Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
I am so hyped up, and it's everything that Woody
just said. Uh, you know that it's gonna be our
team right last night Chiefs Chargers. Oh that's fun. Touchdowns
me and scored, these things happening like that. It's gonna
be my team. It's gonna be my team on Sunday.
My team's gonna be doing this, my team's gonna be
doing that, and then we're just gonnah. The juices are flowing, baby,
That's what I'm talking about. So I need I need

(01:06:32):
to calm down and you know, take my take my
medicine and make sure that I'm properly you know, all
ready to go for manyana. But nonetheless, Woody is a
lot of fun. I'm excited that the Woody three is
officially here. I'm excited we get to do Woody three
in a new way where you guys will get your
own episode. So of course it's part of here Boy
Green Dale, and you guys can rewatch it here, but
we're gonna also put it over there. It'll have direct

(01:06:54):
links to at take flight Talk and all the great
work that he's doing on his YouTube channel to promote
the kind of it so and you'll see it it'll
have its own YouTube thumbnail with Woody and I'm sure
a jet smile or whatever the hell we're gonna have
going on there, that'll be coming up here shortly. So
wooty three wootyology Professor Woody, thank you so much for

(01:07:15):
all the knowledge, and we'll see how that translates to
the game tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (01:07:20):
Yes, absolutely, I see our guy. Hep has asked, will
I be on the play by play tomorrow?

Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
Oh yes, oh wow, there you go.

Speaker 5 (01:07:32):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I'll say this, never say never.
You know, you don't know who's gonna just you know,
pop up, pop in. I've been known to do that
from time to time, especially on this channel. You know,
I love my guy right here, the boy you will
be king, king, you know what you're talking about. So yeah,
we'll see, we'll see what happens with that. But you know,

(01:07:54):
obviously we are all immensely excited for this game and
I can't wait to see what happens. Aaron Glenn ag
you know, gotta believe.

Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
Come on, man, and and you know again we're about
to end here. But Aaron Glenn, he can I don't
know if you guys saw the clip, but he walked
up to the podium, mister it's his final media availability
before the game, and he just goes like, good morning,
go even though it wasn't morning, it was afternoon, but
he's like, good morning. All He's like it's still morning.
I don't know, but he just went like like it's here,
it's here, and he's just like excited, like and you're like,
oh my god, Like we're fans and they're supposed to

(01:08:26):
be all suit and talk. Yes, of course we're here
for business and this, but like the energy is palpable.
You can feel how much Ag cares. And I've never
wanted it. Obviously, it's my team, so of course I've
wanted it for a long time. But I've never wanted
a coach to work out more than Aaron Glenn and
everything that he's brought to this team. So let's hope
for the best for sure, and it's going to be exciting.

(01:08:47):
So wooty, thank you so much. Perhaps we'll see you
on the Crazy play by play tomorrow. That's going to
be a wild trip. You guys will be able to
tune into that. I believe I'm coming on ten minutes
before the game starts, So twelve fifty ish. Again, I
can't show the game on screen, but well you'll see
how it's presented. I think I worked it all out
so it'll be a lot of fun. You guys will
be allowed to call in and interact with the show,
and it should be a lot of fun. So again, Woody,

(01:09:10):
thank you so much for the Woody three. Looking forward
to this every Saturday at eight o'clock.

Speaker 5 (01:09:14):
Absolutely me too.

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
All right, let's go. Thanks everybody for tuning in. We'll
see you tomorrow morning for a long day day. Jets,
steal it us, stee it in. See all right, beautif
