Speaker 1 (00:03):
Get out the insurance cards, get out the copays.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
The office is open, my friends, brought to you by
doctor Rhodo dot com.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Yo.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Everybody all alive, So let's get what's up everybody at
tetover Rod and I'm ready to bring the pain for
you and doctor Rhoda this week, the Fight Club of
Pain is open.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
What's up, Dan? How you doing?
Speaker 4 (00:36):
What's going on? Man? I'm not too bad. I'm not
too bad. Kind of kind of a slow week this
week at work.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
That's okay, that's that's okay. Sometimes it's nice to be
a little rested.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
Right yeah, yeah, I mean it doesn't look like it.
I still got these bags under my eyes, that's all right.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
But we got that new blea, We got that new
fight Club of Pain shirts right there.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Look at that.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
You can get over to tea publics or bring the
Pain and you can get yourself a crazy well. I mean,
this isn't the Fight Club of Pain mug yet, but
I'm getting me a Fight Club of Pain mug.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
There's nothing better than.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Drinking coffee out of something that says pain on it,
because it lets you know you're starting.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Your day amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Yeah yeah, or in pain, right.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, yeah, or I'm having a bet get pain.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
So for everybody that's joining in right now, we're gonna
do We're just gonna shoot it for a couple of
seconds before we get into the UFC no check or
no shah, whatever you wanna call it. I'm gonna get
a little wild on this one. I got something probably
a dive spinning.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
It's probably gonna be bad. I'll probably getna bombit.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I have hit this a couple of times, but I've
got it bad a couple of times.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
So it's gonna be a kind of a fifty to
fifty kind of what's gonna happen today, that's gonna be
for you. Of course, we're gonna have all of the
UFC bets.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
We also will have an NFL Showdown slate lineup, and
I put together three NFL bets that are also parlayed together.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
For tonight's game.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
So we'll make sure you get that. I mean, we're
just here to talk. But it's it's a little card,
even though it's it's a big card. Fourteen fights at
the moment.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
But if everyone makes.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
It, see that's the problem with one of our featured
fighters and we and also we have another fight on
this card that if he gets cleared by his parole officer,
he might be able to fight this time.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
That's gonna be such a target, man.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
But you know somebody like that that would end up winning,
and you know that's Dumas. But at the same time,
I mean no disrespect, he's had no training in and
out of jail.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
I don't know what you're doing, right.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I know you're not eating as well as you could be,
but unfortunately that's not gonna help you in the ring
when you got to fight somebody like Zachary Reese, who
you know has kind of a glass chin at his
times himself, but definitely can knockout Sad Dumas easily. So well,
I think that this this fight, there's no way a
knockout doesn't happen. So I'm playing that bet today. I mean,
(03:11):
he didn't even he couldn't even get knocked out for
us last time, and that's Dumas we're talking about.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Dan.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Yeah, this guy, I don't lock them away.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Just don't hide in any more.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Dog kennels, man, come on, you gotta have more response
the rabbit holes.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Dog Kennels, what's going on with you, buddy? We don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yeah, So, I mean Week one in the NFL was nuts.
Steelers had a crazy game, Buffalo had a crazy game,
and then you got the game on.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
The comeback, you know, on Monday.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Yeah, it's just like.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Like the Bears look like they had that game and
they just gave it up. But I mean the Bills crash.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Was way worse.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
The Ravens crash was crazy. I'm excited about I'm excited
about that as a Staleler fan.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yes, I know, you always got to get those wins out, man,
get it.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
I'm excited about it.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Man, oh man, I'm and.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
You know that's what I love, you know, and what
I we talked about adding the UFC to Doctor Rodo
and being able to do UFC and the NFL as
a complete product together and bring that to to all
of you on bring the pain through the Fight Club
of Pain of course. And that's that's that's what I
think it takes in life that you know you can be,
(04:44):
you can be one dimensional you.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
I like to be Jackson all trades.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
I think that if you're gonna do this game, the
DFS game, that you should have your hand in a
little something so you're always kind of winning money.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
You're always just throwing things out that might happen.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
You know, and that you'll say, say, you needed a
bill paid, and you was a little weak. You threw
in a dollar lineup and you won seven fifty. Well,
now you're all right, you're our rich friend.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
But at the same time, we're just trying.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
We're trying to help all of you make a lot
of money with these fighters.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
And then of course the NFL tonight. Are you Are
you even watching the game tonight?
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Probably not, gonna lie, probably not.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
You're like Commanders and Packers, who's watching that?
Speaker 3 (05:27):
I gotta watch it. I gotta watch it.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
I need I need content, of course, and of course
I have bets.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I have my betting article already at doctor Roto.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
So if you're not a sub get over there, use
code word win W I N and you'll get a
percentage off of your subscription. I think we got most
people in here. This is a this is a nice thing.
So of course, everybody that just entered the Fight Club
of Pain, we give out free bets.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Free You can comment too, Yeah no, I said, we get.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Contents like once every five weeks.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
Yeah, come on and comment. Talk tobut that's a question.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
We I have a whole list of fight it's already
written out, and we were only covering three of them
this week because I think that's just that's what's needed.
We could talk a little bit more about that and
then you know, get a little more time for that.
NFL get these lineups in, so you'll miss some of
the big contests for the for the showdown sleep because
you'll get that lineup at the end of this podcast,
(06:26):
the same way you'll get the Parlay of Pain and
then of course my DFS lineup and then if Dan
did his, we'll get his or we'll make his on
the fly.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Did you do yours today?
Speaker 4 (06:38):
No, but I can do it while you're talking about
the football game.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
That's a slick move.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
But I did. That's what I did last week, so.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Hey, it works it. I threw together stuff. I got
a nice little segment for that.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
So again, just happy to be back, but just to
give last week in perspective for everybody that's joining right now.
Last week I picked the first eleven fights perfect and
in my fighting Nerds lost, but I nailed practically every finish,
especially the first seven finishes. Now I created a parlay,
(07:17):
and of that parlay round robin and the six leg
parlay that I made separately that was in the Doctor
Rody Rotos sub only discord smashed. It was a plus
thirty five twenty six or something like that.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
It was over thirty five one hundred.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
And I had a guy come in there and it
was like out of nowhere, he goes, whoever put that,
whoever put that lineup in there, thank you, And I'm like, oh,
somebody played it.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Finally, Like this is what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
A thirty eight thirty five hundred parlay, the soup can
of the week, the five pastic picks. This is hitting
on all cylinders, but to nail that many.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
And then it didn't stop there.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
The entire time that that event was live, I was
throwing in live bets that were just smashing. So that
is why being part of the subs only discord at
Doctor Roto is huge. And then of course you throw
in football right now, and you have a ton of
experts giving you the right cure to cure all of
your fantasy needs.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Yeah, and we played this week, we play this week.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Yes, yes we do.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
I did see that in our fantasy football league that'll
be fun. We're gonna have to We're gonna have to
open up the DFS things again because I always like
our little DFS things when we remember to put the
lineups in.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah, that was crazy. Yeah, that's all right. I forgot too.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
I forgot too, Like if I'm not putting money on
it or something like that, I just might miss it.
But it's hard to find it because if you don't
hit it through the email or the little notification up
and upper right hand corner, you try to look for it.
I got these other leagues from like years ago I
should just drop out of but because there's people that
don't associate.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
With, but you know, I used to, I kind of
just stay in it. And at the same time, it
was like, like where do you find it? Sometimes that's DK.
Sometimes it's hard to find your one on one coverages.
I don't know why. I don't know why. Maybe y'all
find them a little easier.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
But that's the way it is, all right, brother, You
ready to get into UFC noe Cha?
Speaker 4 (09:28):
Ready?
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (09:31):
What better way to start off UFC no Cha than
our guy Kelvin the Burrito Bandit Gastolym Verse, Dustin Stoltz,
Fuss Dan.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Talk about it all right.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
I'm gonna start with I'm gonna start with Stolt's fwiss Man.
He's three and six in the USC since twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
He switched off wins and losses in his last seven,
going three and three wins. Four of us is Uh,
he's looking for his first UFC wedding streak right now.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Though he has decent hands at speed.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
He's a very determined and eager wrestler, though, and he
could pose a problem with his ground game. He has
six submission victories to his name, and he's going to
look to clinch with Calvin Gaslam. He doesn't want to
throw hands with him.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Calvin Gaslin. What else can we say about him?
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Man? Uh, he's thirteen ten to one inside the octa
gone and he's two and two in his last four. Uh,
his chins made of granted, we all know this. Uh,
Feiffer couldn't take him out and Fiffer is a bad dude,
crazy Yeah, Kat the Brito Bandit's biggest threat in the
(10:44):
division is himself. We talked about it many times. Uh,
there's no need for us to repeat it. If he
makes weight and he trained he's dangerous.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
I agree that. That is the thing. That Joe Pifer
fight changed my view of the Burrito bandit.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
I couldn't believe like he almost finished Pifer in that fight.
If Pifer did not get off that ground, he was done.
And that's the thing is Stolfus, He's he's going to
come forward, He's going to try to attack him with
his style.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
He's trying to throw kicks.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
And if Gastolm goes back to the Burrito days and
grabs that leg and jocks him on the ground, he
could definitely get a ground and pound.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
But this fight, even though it says.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
It's gonna go the distance, I don't think it's gonna
go the distance.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
I think Gastolm does have something to prove, right.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
I mean, I could give you my prediction, but I
don't agree with that.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
I think Gas had a lot to prove for the
last few years, and he always fumbled the ball.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
I agree with that as well too. All right, well,
let me just run through the money, let me throw
the throw the bets out there real quick, and then
we'll get to that that that that pick. So we
got knocked out in points for Gastolum is negative two
thirty money line distance Yes is a plus one thirty five.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Decision no bet is a negative five point fifty.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
The sportsbooks think that this fight is going under yet
distance Yes, it's the negative one sixty. That's why I
don't trust it. Knockout for both fighters in this fight
is a plus one eighty.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
But I couldn't. I couldn't hold myself back when I
went to the Stolfa side of this game.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Knockout first and second round plus twenty seven hundred knockout
second and third round plus thirty five hundred money line
in distance plus two sixty, and his decision no bet
is a plus three fifty.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
If you're gonna play money.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
On the Stulstice side, I would go with maybe one
of those knockouts, maybe the second to third one, because
I don't think he's gonna be able to wear knockout
gastom at all really. But if you want to throw
in a late one because something funky happens, that's great decision.
I bet would be a way to protect yourself, but
that's the way the sports books look at it.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Who do you got up winning?
Speaker 4 (13:07):
I think if Gasla makes weight man, he wins by.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Decision wins by decision awesome money lining decision parlayed plus
one thirty five.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
I agree with you.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
I think the Burrito Bandit does win, and because of that,
I have prepared a song for the Burrito Bandit. This
is to you, Kelvin the Burrito Bandit. There were ones
was a guy I.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Used to know so long ago.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
His lower kept growing, growing, growing, growing, growing, But before
I knew it, it got so big as hunger strong.
He came through the door of that restaurant, Kelvin Kelvin
Burrito Bandit wanted more and more Rito's kept piling and
get the store my hunch buzz. About an hour half
(14:07):
in late today, Calvin looked.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
At me and said, I'm gonna knock that dude out.
I'm gonna knock that dude out. I'm gonna knock that
dude out.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Oo Calvin by first and second round knockout plus two eighty. Yeah,
Stophus is hitting the canvas and Kelvin is eating the
burrito tonight there was a few iterations of that song
(14:45):
that actually was really really good.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
I'm stuck on.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
The door Britooto Bandits. I Love you, Kelvin Gastolom, you
have inspired me to make the Burrito Bandit song, no
matter how bad it be.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Man, I wish, I wish I'd never called him that.
That was just stuck forever.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
It is, it is, what's what's even bad? Like that's
on the internet, Like I don't give a crap where
you're having fun. If I had a burrito, I eat one.
There actually is. I can make a burrito in the
other room they had we had fatas yesterday.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
But I can make a burrito, but not like our boy.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Cast Like I don't think he makes them. He just
eats them.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Yeah, he just eats him.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
It's so funny, just like it's now a surrounding joke.
That and that's why he don't be making weight. This
guy tries not to make weight. And if that song
is true, it's I just just take a Catchwait, buddy,
please take a Catchwight Man, don't.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Be just don't be like Pitbull and try to school
somebody's stole fast.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Just just eat the burrito, eat the Burrito bandits fists.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Yeah yeah, all.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Right, let's move along to the co main event. We
got Rob font versus David Martinez.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
Dan talk about it all right, David Martinez.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Man, this is a second fight in the UFC, and
he's riding a seven five winning streak. He's very explosive
and athletic. He's a presser fighter and he's always moving forward.
He closes the distance very quickly and throws aggressive combination
and he level changes very well and tries to mix
in clinches and takedowns while he's doing it. He's a
(16:39):
lot faster than Rob Font, but he does not have
the technical aspect of this game yet. Rob Faont, volume
and durability or what make him fun for the fans.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Man. He's two and one in his last three.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
His experience in technical boxing with his quick jab encounters
make him a handful for anybody.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
And then.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
His composure in the pocket during explosive exchanges and his
lateral movement and footwork.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
Compliment everything he does.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
He has very good takedown defense and he will engage
in the firefight Martinez is going to bring.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
I agree with that one. And the thing is this
is a huge fight.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
For Martinez because if he can overcome Rob Funt, he
makes an argument for himself to enter the top fifteen.
But Rob Font in that last fight he came up
big for us.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
He was one of my DFS.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Plays that was just huge, was on all my lineups,
even though a lot of people feel he lost that fight.
But at the same time, you're right about his explosives
in the pocket and getting it in. And for me,
when I look at that, this fight spells distance because
the distance is a negative to sixty. The knockout for
both fighters is a plus two sixty. You know they're
(17:59):
trying to be funny here. Money line distance with Rob
Font is a plus one twenty five because right now
Rob Font.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
Is still the He's still the favorite.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
But I got a little crazy. I got a little crazy.
I looked over at the Martinez side. A second third
round knockout by Martinez is a plus one thousand money
line in distance, yes, is.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
A plus one seventy eight.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
But a decision no bet is a negative one thirty four.
So if it goes to decision goes to card, which
most likely it likely it will.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
The decision no bet will refund your money.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
But if a knockout or submission happens on the Martinez side,
then you win that bet. I mean, do you think
Martinez can overcome Rob Font? Or is Rob Font's experience
going to shatter his hopes.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Damn, I think is an experience and thor ability and
he he he's just.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Way too technical for Martinez at this point. Martinez his career.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Okay, I agree with that.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
The one thing I think that Martinez will have to
do is he will have to keep up his strike defense.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
His strike defense is really good.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
He also only takes just two point seven punches per minute,
significant punches per minute, whatever you want to call that people.
But at the same time, he throws out five point
four and Rob gets the three point sixty seven. So
for me, I think if he can and Rob can't hit,
Rob got soft hands, like him getting a knockout in
this fight, I just don't see it happening.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
But I could see him trying to take it to
the ground. Do you you brought that up real quick?
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Do you think that font might try to take this
down to the ground or do you think he's gonna
trust his boxing now?
Speaker 4 (19:44):
I think Rob Faught is gonna use his takedown defense.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
I think Martinez is gonna try to take it to
that down, take it to the ground.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yeah you think so, Yeah, you think so. And the
thing is that Martinez doesn't do that often. But I
think that that would be a smart move on Martinez's side,
since he you know, he's he's he's got this. He
just needs to put impose his will and then maybe
that leads to uh one of his scrambles through his wrestling,
because he is really good with that.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
I like that he's Zachriat as well too, and they're
both tough. They're both tough. Who do you got winning?
Speaker 4 (20:19):
H I got the old man going winning by decision.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
I got Rob got it well, we got that, We
got that parlaid already got that with that plus one
twenty five, Font is like, I want to pick Font
so much, and I do. I'm gonna pick David Martinez.
And this is the reason why I feel that he
will be able to get those takedowns even though he
(20:45):
doesn't shoot.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
I know that, but he does.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
If he can get those takedowns, he might be able
to get some control time and that might be that
might be able to catch up to Font's fifth speed.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
That might otherwise. If so, if I was leading.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Who's gonna get more significant strikes per minute or in
this fight going the distance? I would probably lean on
the Font side, Right, You think I think Funk can
out volume.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Oh yeah, yeah, Okay, Rob Fons a volume guy. He,
like you said, he has soft hands. He doesn't knock
a lot of people out, but he will out box you.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Yes, exactly. And that's huge. That is that is very huge.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
So for that, I got that. And so I think
this is a distance fight too, so money online distance.
We already gave that out for the Martinez sided plus
one seven eight. But I'm telling you I'm taking that
second and third round knockout.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
I want to see it happen.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
I don't want to see Rob Fonk get knocked out,
but i want a chance at a plus one thousand,
So I'm willing to play that. Love it all right,
all right, it's time to get to the main event.
Speaker 5 (21:52):
In this corner, we've got the Rabbit, the Coach, the Forever,
the fire, the Fuago Diego Pens.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
And he's fighting Dan present your fighter.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
I'm doing Diego right, all right, all right, Diego Lopez.
Speaker 6 (22:19):
He's five and two in the UFC, the number two
fighter in the featherweight division for a reason. He fought
almost every big name in the division and he has
championship experienced, unlike Silva he will grow from the loss
to Volk and right the wrongs and the mistakes he made.
He'll look to match aggressiveness with Silva on the feet
(22:39):
with his Chris boxing combos and lateral footwork which Silva
has problems with. Try to avoid brawling and keep it
at a good distance. He's gonna wait for one of
Silva's wild florries flurries and look to counter. He wants
to clinch and try to bully the smaller man, mixing
wrestling and keep Silver guessing.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Do do do do? And my guy, Jean Silver, the
fighting nerd.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
He's back to show vengeance for what happened to our
parlays last week, to our losses last week when Marie
SiO Roofie decided to tap, and when Barrallo just couldn't
put it fully together against the better I'm Evolve that
was more determined and in his hometown.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
But this week the lose.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
The San Antonio monster of Jean Silva will be summoned
this weekend as he presents himself to Lopez in the
form of a demon like Finn Bala.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
He will alter his fighting style.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
He might sidestep, and he will overcome those distance and
the power that Lopez possesses. He's going to ground and
pound him until he gets a submission. Silva is going
to win. And that is how I'm presenting my fighter today.
(24:13):
WHOA damn, this fight is going to be a firefight, dude.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
Yeah, it's a banger. It's a banger. It's a banger.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
There's no way it goes distance, No way.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
I don't think it does.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
How many rounds do you honestly think this goes three? Three?
Speaker 1 (24:35):
And that's what's awesome about this And this is why
I'm gonna bring this up right now.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
You better get it now, because I did.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Vandal has a three and a half under as a
negative one thirty eight. Whoever wins by whatever method, you
are going to be our rich friend. This is a great,
great bet to get right now, the three.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
And a half.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Dan agrees with the three rounds right there, Silva can
go the distance.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
He won't need to. There's going to be too much.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
As Dan explained, when Silva comes rushing in, Lopez easily
can counter him from that distance and hit him. Lopez
also is a good wrestler himself. He can take Silva
down and be able to get the ground and pound himself.
He almost finished Volkanowski in that second round, and then
he kind of faded in before he tried to make
(25:28):
that come back at the end, which was too late
to beat.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
The champ, which of course both of them were to Champ.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
You have to push yourself at all phases of the match,
and Silva is going to push himself for the first
three rounds if it even lasts that long, in my opinion,
And that's why the distance no is a negative three
ten two. I thought it would actually be a negative
five point fifty, but that three ten, that's honest, two man,
(25:56):
and that's just told me that this is going under man.
So let's run through the numbers real quick and we'll
get to the picks money line. Distant snow for Lopez
is a plus two sixty nine first and second round
knockout on me, come on, come on, you think I'm
not gonna have a Lopez knockout. I love Nopez two
first and second round knockout plus fifteen hundred, second, third
(26:18):
and fourth round knockout is a plus twelve hundred for Lopez.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
I love those numbers.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Knockout for both fighters is a negative one fifty rolling
over to this silver side. First, second, and third round
knockout is a plus two hundred. His distant snow money
line is a negative one twenty seven knockout in sub
negative one twenty five.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
This is where it gets crazy. Second round knockout plus
seven to fifty for Silva.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
And if you're Froggy and you're jumping on that second
round with me, like what he did to Bryce Mitchell,
second round submission.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
Plus five thousand. Wow, all those numbers are gonna hit.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
I feel that there's there's that's why we need to knockout.
I'll take a sub. I'm guarding myself with that sub.
Who do you got winn Dan?
Speaker 2 (27:10):
I think Diego Lopez takes the last zero from the
fighting nerds, and Diego Lopez wins by third round knockout.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
All right, here's the thing about that.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
I was looking at those numbers, right, and they are
freaking insane, insane on the Lopez side like they and
and look, I mean, I'm I'm gonna go with my
fighting nerd. I do think he's he's the better fighter
at this better stage. He's not training other people to fight.
Sometimes it makes you think that is Lopez doing at all,
(27:43):
But I'm not gonna take anything from Lopez.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
We know his style, we know what he can bring
to it.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
So the third round knockout by Diego Lopez is a
plus three thousand, plus three thousand. We're looking at this
all across the board. For me, I got Jean Silva.
I love I love that that first second, third round knockout,
the plus two hundred, You're not gonna get any good
money on the silver side. Like I said, if I
(28:10):
want to go, and this is where I think Silva
finishes in the second round, if we go Silva, I
already gave it to you. Second round knockout to plus
seven fifty.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
That's not even a lot.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
This would have to go all the way, all the
way to the fifth round to get a plus twelve
hundred on the silver side. So again, the money is
hard to make on the silver side. But if you
just played the Lopez side, you have a lot of
big money at your disposal. Man, this fight's gonna it's
this fight's just it's too much for me, man, it's
(28:43):
too much for me. It's it's we're getting to the
point of the year where a lot of our favorites
are starting to fight each other, which is what we
need for the UFC, but sometimes it leaves us torn, right, Dan.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Oh, I agree, man, I like both these guys. I mean,
it's hard to pick against Jean Silva. Man, it really
is a he's a hell of a fighter. But yeah,
I've been on the Diego Lopez train since he came
into the UFC. I got the guy is just a
(29:14):
he's a stud man, and I don't I don't see
any where this goes to Jeens Silver wins exactly.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
I mean, I'm taking it.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
I'm going with him, but I can see Lopez win
in this fight for the betting positions, Like we said,
that's why the knockout of the negative one fifty for me.
To me, it just feels like both these guys know
what needs to happen. They need to go in here
and future implications of this of this fight too can
be can be taken. This would put Lopez back up
(29:47):
into maybe a title fight talk but not right now,
not raping.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
No, he's not ready. He's not ready for volk Man. No.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
No, Well then we have Luent Murphy trying to get
into this too.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
That's who that's who I think deserves the shot.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Okay, I agree with you one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
I want to see Volkanowski versus Murphy that right there.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
Give me that and then give me that fight.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
So after that fight, I don't know if this win
for Lopez would still put him there, but I think
if Silva wins this match, he should he needs one
more okay, okay, one more win? Uh do you think who?
Do you think you would think he would need to fight?
(30:38):
So if Diego he got fight, yea, oh yeah, I
like that.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
So who does most? Most are fight? Do you think most?
Speaker 1 (30:48):
If so, if Lopez wins this fight, does he fight Movesar.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
That'd be a good fight that I would be a
really good fight.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
That would that would be a fun fight.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Do you think of that any chance? I think Josh
Emmett does have a fight?
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Does he? He has a fight coming up? Doesn't he?
I don't.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
I did not look, so you know, I.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Don't think he's gonna get back up there. I'm not
talking to Josh Emmett. So if you said one more guy,
Yari would be the guy.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
I would say.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
The next guy that I would think he would be
is maybe a Josh Emmett, maybe a Jermaine Sterling.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
But he just got there himself.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
This divisions about to get really crowded really soon.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
This division's been crowded since we had Max Holloway and.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
Everybody else in that division. I mean it's it's been
crowded since Connor McGregor fought in that division.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
That's right, that's right.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
This division is always stacked, always always.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
That's why.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
That's what makes this done, and that's what shows and
goes back and gives gives Volk such credit for being
able to hang with all of these dudes, no matter
if he got knocked out by Pantosia, you know it,
it didn't matter or to Pooria, I said, I was
looking at Pantosa's name.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
It doesn't matter what.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean you could if they
fought again, it would be crazy. It would be a
crazy fight, you know, because you know they now know
each other a little more. Vulk would have to watch
for that power. But I mean, I know we ain't
getting that right now. We got this to go for it,
and I think that I think Murphy does definitely get that,
and I think that Murphy should have that shot.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
That is the rumor, that's the rumor that's supposed to
be signed.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
I wouldn't mind seeing it, but I'm gonna go on
record if Silva wins this and either Murphy or Vulk
get that shot. Finally Silva jumps everybody and gets that fight,
because I don't think that anybody else other than Yari,
but Yari still has that background, is going to draw
(32:53):
more eyes to that than Silva, Murphy, Silva, Vulcanal, Volkanowski, Silva.
They want to see that, and this would be just
like that to pour a fight because Volk is a monster.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
He's gonna sit in the pocket and that's what Silva wants.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
So I don't know statistically or if it would be
smart at Volk's age to stand in there with Silva, but.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
That would be I don't think he would stand out
stand in the pocket with him.
Speaker 4 (33:24):
I think he would chop that leg down like he
does to everybody else and then and then go to work.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Yeah, speaking of legs getting chopped down, did you watch that?
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Did you watch that video of him?
Speaker 4 (33:39):
Yeah? Dude, I mean does he did he land a punch?
Speaker 1 (33:44):
I don't think he landed a punch or he tried
to even block a punch.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Every time he got punched. He stuck his chin out.
I said, what is this madness?
Speaker 4 (33:53):
I mean, he.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Didn't check one leg kick. Nope, he didn't block it,
he didn't.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
Blow It was like watching a movie.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
It was like watching Rocky when Rocky just gets punching
the face over and over again.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
Yeah, that was crazy.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
I was like, And then here goes these people across
the pond calling me the sea word.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
And I'm like, but how are you calling me the
sea word?
Speaker 1 (34:19):
And and just because I said Harry gets smoked, like
he got smoked, he got wheelchaired out like it wasn't.
I think the most pathetic part of that fight was
when he was crawling up after the fight was called,
and he was crawling up.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
And he's trying to shake his hands on his knees. Yeah, dude,
so bad bombs and there'll be people to defend those
soup cans.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Yeah, all right, all right, let's get to the DFS lineups.
So I'll I'll throw in the NFL right now, because
the NFL is seven thirty eight. I know all y'all hungry,
So I'll throw in the NFL. That give you a
little cute. You'll throw something together and then we'll throw
that into the the UFC lineups, and then we'll go
(35:10):
into the parlay of pain, of course.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
So everybody get ready. This is what you.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Waited for, waited for that fight theory. You waited for
the UFC shriffes to bring the pain. And now here
we go, right Captain zach.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
Ertz, I love it. I love his price.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Now you could go with Tucker Kraft there, he'll save
you a little bit of money, but that money doesn't
really get you anywhere extra you're gonna end up around
the same people. So we're going zach Ertz, Jaden Daniels,
Jordan Love, Terry McLaren, Romeo Dobbs, Bill Krosskey Moffett. You
got three hundred dollars left. That is a DK Showdown lineup.
(35:48):
Now here's the thing. Just under by three hundred is
Austin Eckler. I kept looking at him. There is an
Austin Eckler lineup I have. I also have kind of
a green Bay defense. The lean is green Bay in
this matchup. They're at home. They were hot last week,
they showed what's up and they're definitely gonna bring it
(36:08):
this week.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
So here's your bets. Jacobs.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
So earlier when I wrote my article and got it out.
Jacob's touchdown was a negative one p fifty. It was
a negative two oh five before me and Dan started
to fight Club of Pain. Also, so I'll take Jacob's
touchdown Eckler three receptions negative one eighty eight unless it
grew and yo, they are criminally undermining Deebo Samuel's rushing yards.
(36:35):
It was a six point five. It's a It was
a four point five before we went live. A four
point five rushing yards for a plus one oh two
to all three of those together is a parlay of
plus three forty one. Throw a bonus on that if
you can, and you can be our rich friend, Dan,
You ready to give that UFC lineup out?
Speaker 4 (36:56):
Doing it right now? Doing it right now?
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Oh yeah, I could do my real quick.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
So DraftKings and that's what I always give is the DraftKings,
and then the FanDuel lineup is in the doctor rodo
subs only discord. I do that for a reason. People,
you gotta join. Use code word doc like I said,
or code word win.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
Get on the team.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
Today we have basketball about the startup, hockey about the startup.
We now have UFC, we have NFL We're one of
the best sites for the NFL. Doc will be live
at seven am to ten am on Saturday on Sirius XM.
He also will be live on the Doctor Roto network
tomorrow at nine pm. And because I have a fight
(37:39):
on Saturday, I will be doing the Ultra Contrarian.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
Show tomorrow as well.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
I will have that out and already for all of
you so that you can have all of that information.
So you're gonna get a lot of information, and then
I'm gonna be off the grid. So for some reason,
before I made this lineup, I thought there's gonna be
a lot of Silva talk, right, That's what happened. Gene Silva,
Joquan Sida Silva, Joquan Silva. We're going Zach, Zachary Reese,
(38:08):
David Martinez. I'm going Fierra and Luna. That line up
right there. The Fierra and Martinez kind of are your
cheaper picks. Of course, that's my that's my diamond in
the roughs. I kind of went in after it with
Jacquelin as well too, Jocquelin Silva.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
So that's it. You got one dollars left over with
that DFS lineup for this week. You should be able
to cash with that.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
Just make sure you get that into a fifty to
fifty and take a shot on the big game.
Speaker 4 (38:34):
All right, Dan, I'm ready, I'm ready, all right.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
I got Diego Lopez man, I got Rob Faught, I
got Calvin Gasloum, I got Hernandez mm hmm, I got
Reese and Puellez Pelle.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
Dude, he's about the k hump the ship out of dude. Man,
he's dude, wait too.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
You and that took that took every penny, That took
every penny that I mean, that line.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
You do bring up a big factor.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
It's really hard to look past Lopez at seven thousand
on DK.
Speaker 4 (39:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Really really he's the second.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
I think he's the second seven.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
That's that's insane, that's insane.
Speaker 1 (39:25):
That's such salary saver. And that's again, that's this is
what we do. We gave dance lineup has got some similarities,
but is completely different, giving you two lineups and that
lineup right there is a lineup that a lot of people,
especially Hernandez. You brought up the Hernandez side of things
because I mean, it's funny that we both took We
threw two people from that fight in there, but those
(39:47):
fights are in the middle. That's what kind of is
left up. But Hernandez ken he has a forward pressure.
He has a lot of power when he gets on
top of the ground and pround. His pressure is huge.
If he can get fer Ara down and I'm just
looking at the knockout, I'm trying to get the under
on this fight for.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
That too, because Fierra d'ano Fierra is a great boxer.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
But Hernandez, if he can grapple and get him down,
can win this fight. And in this fight probably goes
to distance as well too, So if you want to
play that bet, he's.
Speaker 4 (40:20):
Big for this weight class man, Hernandez, He's big.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
And that's what I love about this too, is that
you rolled with Anthony Hernandez. It gives us a little
more context to talk about gives everybody kind of like
a goodbye.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
In a way, and you get to see a little
bit more of the.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Talks about it, because I mean, we gave you Zachary
Reese earlier, and Luis Gruel I like him too.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
So that's a pig for everybody too.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
I definitely think that you can get the ground and
pound knockout with him I have I will say some
of these players have made a certain thing, a certain parlay.
Speaker 3 (40:58):
I think it's time. I think it's time to release
the hold on He don't ride.
Speaker 7 (41:05):
Oh yeah, you were trying to do that. Singing your
guitar is kind of bad. I don't like it. Oh
the way you're at the back of the line. But
when it comes to the poor lay of.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
Pain, Yeah, all right, your first leg.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Now remind you the parlay of pain is also to
be round robin.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
This is how we make money. People.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
You round robin this parlay your first leg. And this
is in order so that it builds and at any
point you think you need to bail because this one's
a little more, then you can bail. Reese knockout and
sub negative one seventy five. That's gonna start your parlay.
Leg two Luis Garoule under two and a half rounds
(41:54):
plus one thirty eight brings that to a plus two
seventy four. Parlay does go to Rodovich knockout in sub
is a plus one sixty. It brings it up to
a parlay of plus eight seventy two.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
The Burrito bandit.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
Is a knockout for both fighters is a plus one eighty.
Let's get a knockout in this fight.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
I don't care.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
I just need my Burrito bandit to come through and
knock somebody out. The parlay the party. The parlay is
a plus twenty six twenty two.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
For the fifth and final leg.
Speaker 1 (42:40):
The silver fight knockout for both fighters negative one fifty.
The fifth and final leg of the Parlay of Pain
brings it to a plus forty four thirty seven.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
Go ahead, throw ten dollars on that.
Speaker 1 (42:57):
Throw a dollar on it, Throw fifty cents on it,
throw a quarter on it.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
Whatever you throw on it. You're going to make sure
that that is around Robin.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
So that if the last three weeks, other than the
previous week in the middle where I went four and five,
we have been able to move the parlay of Pain up.
And of course the Parlay of Pain was extra on
top of the six leg parlay that was freeing the doctor.
Rodo subs only discord Dan. I think at times we're
doing God's work up in here.
Speaker 3 (43:27):
Man. We're trying to bring the pain to this thing, man.
And I love what we do, Dude, I love doing this.
It's so much fun. I mean it's right before football.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
You know, we're giving out everything that we can, trying
to win everybody money, but also just having a good time, talking, singing,
doing wild stuff.
Speaker 4 (43:44):
Just that's that's just me.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
That's just me.
Speaker 4 (43:49):
That's just me.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
But I'm just trying to provide a unique experience trying
to give out there. I want everybody to go on
the X today, tag Kel and Gastolin put the burrito
bashtag burrito bandit and put a meme of a burrito
under there and we it and play every knockout for
(44:12):
Gastol because we don't put burritos to in a submission.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
Nobody holds a burrito.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
You shove a burrito in your mouth and you knock
it out. You get it out the way. You got
to have fun, all right, Bud. I can't wait to
get this weekend. I can't wait to fight myself.
Speaker 4 (44:31):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
If you've seen the bruise on my leg right now,
you'd be like, Rob, come on, man.
Speaker 4 (44:37):
Sometimes you got to back off a little bit. Man.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
I tested it yesterday. It feels a lot better today,
and I've been putting a lot of my special cream
on it. So we're gonna get that and that cream
should actually get it in good position. I wasn't gonna
do any caudase or forms for anybody out there that does,
you know, turn point fighting tournaments, karate tournaments, so I
(45:02):
wasn't gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (45:03):
I felt I.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
Couldn't do consistently open hands because of the kicks kuta.
So I'm going to do my bow katta, which is
a black belt cauda. It's it's it's amazing. I love
doing it. You've seen it. And I'm going to fight.
So the champ has to defend himself. I'm not gonna
be at one hundred percent. I'm gonna I know that
(45:26):
I performed well yesterday, I'll perform even better. I'm gonna
stretch and give it a little bit tomorrow, but I'm
not fighting tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
That is my plan. I'm hoping to dominate and bring
home some medals.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Man, hey, at least at least in point fighting, and
there's no leage kicks.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Yes, that's the well that can't. So this is a
funny fact.
Speaker 1 (45:46):
I went to class yesterday and the guy who actually
when we clashed, his knee went into my leg.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
He goes, man, My knee was hurt so bad.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
The next day after that clash, he was like, I
was like, really, he goes, dude, I was like, oh,
so we were. We both got jacked up after that.
And then of course we fought for like another hour
and forty five minutes, but we both got jacked up
from that man. And so it just shows the the
ferocity of the of our sport that even though it's
(46:19):
point fighting, and sometimes when the point happens, they go, eh,
there's still some slugs that happened.
Speaker 4 (46:24):
Yeah, I've witnessed it.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Ye, you've witnessed the brutality.
Speaker 4 (46:31):
Man.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
That's It's so I think I could do it. I
think that this also plays in So right now I'm
getting monitored what happened this last week, So I had
to talk my sense. They talked to me and he goes,
we need to get you to stop like king when
you're attacking.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
So I'm figuring out that when I'm king, I'm.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
Overpowering, and they're trying to calm me down to control
me for an eventual, you know, belt test I have
coming up, but to also show that I'm not reckless.
Now I've never okay, so maybe I did knock somebody out,
but you.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Know, and I do run through my opponents, but.
Speaker 1 (47:09):
It's also at the same time, I think it's good
that sometimes it teaches me, like having this and being
a little slower teaches me that sometimes I need to
rely on my basics and to keep things a to
B rather than try to look pretty and do all
these crazy tricks like I'm twenty one and that's this is.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
A good lesson.
Speaker 4 (47:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
So, and even if I win.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
Or lose, I'm still gonna be points champion right now
because I've won all year, and at the end of
the season I'll get a chance to fight.
Speaker 3 (47:40):
I'll most likely be points champion.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
And then I get a chance to fight for overall champion,
so that'll be fun. But at the same time, after this,
I'm definitely taking the month off till I think the
next fight should be October twenty third, here in Erie,
twenty fifth, twenty sixth, weekend, whatever that is, whatever that
Saturday is, that's the next time I'll fight. So I'll
have a lot of time to be able to heal
(48:04):
up and get this leg right. But right now I
was able to do everything except my front kick. I
can throw roundhouses with my right leg. I the rear
legged roundhouses with my right leg and hookkicks with my
right leg. But I cannot throw a front kick, so.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
I don't need to.
Speaker 4 (48:25):
I thought that was part of your arsenal man.
Speaker 1 (48:28):
No, and it's my back leg, so it's my The
right leg is the one that has the bruise on it,
so I don't all my front leg action the left
leg and that that's it. And then while I'm embarrassing
myself on it. That's kind of what it is. So yes, everybody,
I'm talking about my fight right now.
Speaker 3 (48:46):
Yes, but I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (48:48):
The last time I fought, I fought a guy on
a tournament. He had his name on the back of
a coat. Then he had his name on the back
of his team jersey. It was like on a Hondro or.
Speaker 3 (48:57):
Something like that.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
It started with a M like Murcascio or something like.
It was funny, and he was like he was over
there fighting the whole time.
Speaker 3 (49:07):
He was good. He was really really good. So I'm
looking to fight him again.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
And then maybe that other gentleman I beat up at
the beginning of the season where they were they were
trying to disqualify me.
Speaker 3 (49:18):
For the rob rush. Yeah, oh boy, it's fighting.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
Man, I can't good time.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
I can't stop, man, I I to me, when you
get in the ring, you just go into another mode.
Speaker 3 (49:34):
You can't oh, you can't control. But if they're punching
you in the face, you could punch them back in
the face too. And I don't see why that's a problem.
Speaker 4 (49:41):
Yeah, I mean I did it. I did it for
a long time. I did it for almost twenty years. Man,
I can't.
Speaker 3 (49:48):
Did you ever fight professionally or amateur? Did you ever
have an amateur fight?
Speaker 4 (49:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (49:54):
Twenty two, twenty two amateur fights.
Speaker 3 (49:57):
Yeah, that's cool. That's cool. Is that when Deuce Staley
was big in Pittsburgh and you was.
Speaker 4 (50:04):
Right around with that, man, No, that was well what happened.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
I shattered my hand, uh huh, and I just uh
called it quits after that.
Speaker 3 (50:18):
It happens. Life happens, man.
Speaker 4 (50:21):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
It's I can't really make a fist because of a
pinky here.
Speaker 4 (50:28):
It never tucks in. So every time I throw a
punch of brakes.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
Oh dude, no way, ah, no, I can't.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
That is the fight game, though, And unfortunately that is
you know, And the thing is, we have better technology now,
the gel wraps and all that like, I love the
gel wraps, but even even our sense a slash coach
to others, he he's highly recommending all the gel wraps.
One because it gets you ready faster, but because that
shock absorbing, the absorbtion is is better for your hands overall.
(51:01):
It gives you a better over product. It's it whereas
wrapping your hands. You still have divots.
Speaker 3 (51:07):
But some people love that type wrap. People like that.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Yeah, I mean I I was. I guess I was, alright, man,
I went nineteen one one and one disqualification, so.
Speaker 4 (51:22):
Well I didn't get I didn't I didn't get disqualified.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
The whole Wow, the whole fight got disqualified disqualified.
Speaker 1 (51:30):
Man.
Speaker 3 (51:30):
I thought that was gonna happen. To that one fight
where I kept knocking.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
The dude down, like over and over and over and
everybody was yelling at me, and then Brian was yelling
at everybody.
Speaker 3 (51:40):
I was like, dude, something's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (51:42):
But at the same time, I'm sitting there and I'm like,
you know, to me, if the kid, like I said,
I've said.
Speaker 3 (51:49):
This a thousand times on this podcast, if.
Speaker 1 (51:51):
You're just gonna stand there, I'm just gonna drive my
fist into you constantly.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
Why should I work? Why should I kick you?
Speaker 1 (51:56):
If I kick you and you hit my ship, yeah
that might hurt or not hurts, Probably not gonna hurt me.
Speaker 3 (52:01):
But at the same time, why am I gonna do.
Speaker 1 (52:03):
That if I'm just scoring my punches all day? The
smart fighter never uses his arsenally he doesn't need to use.
Speaker 4 (52:09):
I agree, that's why.
Speaker 2 (52:10):
Uh, like I We've had this conversation before I fight.
I'm a I'm a South Paul, and I also fought
out of the Philly Shell.
Speaker 4 (52:20):
So I was no one liked to fight me.
Speaker 1 (52:26):
I you know what's really bad and probably worse than
my guitar playing and singing is probably me trying to
do the Philly Shell. I literally try this and the
dudes will be doing it and showing me, and I don't.
Speaker 3 (52:38):
I can't. I don't know why I can't do it.
It's just wild.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
It's one of those things that it's why I'm a
karate guy right in my mind?
Speaker 3 (52:47):
Is that.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
I mean, when you train it for years, it comes
second nature, just like you and karate.
Speaker 4 (52:55):
I mean, if that's the defense that felt most comfortable
for me, yeah, that's what he did.
Speaker 1 (53:01):
One of our black belts he does it really well too,
and he doesn't he'll just put it up when he's
like tired or just wants to do something before he
throws like a hook kick, so he.
Speaker 3 (53:09):
Kind of does that Trey, it's one of his moves.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
So for me, it's it's definitely a technique. It throws out.
We've had fights this year that people couldn't solve the
Philly shell and and lost.
Speaker 3 (53:21):
So you know that right there shows.
Speaker 1 (53:23):
Why sometimes that that defensive method can be problems. Plus,
like I said, the way you were always like the
way that you said you would always step to the side,
and we talked about your fist, your right fist, your
job already being there to my side. Just it's like
a weakness to the way that I would fight. So
again that's that's what happens.
Speaker 6 (53:44):
Fine weakness, Yes, sir, I mean my jappan's always down low,
so you never know where it's coming.
Speaker 4 (53:53):
Yeah yeah, body body, chest body chest head.
Speaker 1 (53:57):
So my my favorite, one of my favorite combos rate
now that I've been going is the lunging uppercut kind
of like jab like, so I'm launching it in so
instead of the backfist, I'm turning my fist a little,
but I know I can't do that Saturday.
Speaker 4 (54:12):
Like a like almost like a lead upper cut, like yeah, yeah, yeah,
like Corner used to throw all the time. Yeah, corne
used to throw lead upper cuts all the time out
of that Crowley stance.
Speaker 1 (54:24):
Mm hmmm, because because you know, like I'm right here,
so when it's natural for me to just lunch forward
and throw that and then throw the backhand.
Speaker 3 (54:34):
The problem is is they don't like my reverse punch.
Speaker 1 (54:37):
They don't want me to throw it unless it's to
the body because of the damage it does. So again people, yes,
point fighting we have rules, but go watch some Bailly
Murphy fights and you'll be like, what rule was that
when he kicked that dude straight in the face, And
I'll say, black belt, you're allowed to.
Speaker 3 (54:52):
Do that stuff.
Speaker 1 (54:53):
Black belt, you should still have control and not try
to hurt your person.
Speaker 3 (54:56):
You're a partner, your fighting.
Speaker 4 (54:57):
Guy, or look up Wonder Boys fights man, Wonder Boys.
Point fighting is crazy.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
Yes, No, I mean just James Decor in Cleveland got
knocked out by Wonder Boy in the Point Fighting days
and Decor is like sense like my sense, of course,
my sense was like one of those guys.
Speaker 3 (55:15):
That was really great as well too.
Speaker 1 (55:17):
I'm sure he's in the Haraate Hall of Fame, so
I'm sure wonder Boys in the Karate Hall of Fame
as well too, So it kind of shows where they're
at and what that level was. I mean, even Billy
Blank's coming out at seventy, having his fight a week
ago and putting it down like that, that was impressive.
And that's our fight style. It's Billy Blank's fight style
(55:38):
that we use, and Brian has changed and made a
hybrid version of to where we're at right now. But
like I said, the fists are great, and I've been
getting really good with the boxing. Like the double body hooks.
Oh dude, my my movement has been so much better.
So I'm just gonna keep working that. And of course
I can't use that this week. I have to remember
(55:58):
that and I just out a win.
Speaker 2 (56:01):
So if you if you want to learn how to
do the double or triple body hooks, watching Oscar de
la Jolla fight, he was the best.
Speaker 3 (56:08):
Dude, Oh de la Hoya. You're right, I grew up
watching him too.
Speaker 2 (56:13):
I yeah, he was absolutely the best at that double
triple hook.
Speaker 1 (56:18):
Yeah, I you know, so I usually when I do
two attacks to the same side, I like to go
low high, and then I like to come with like
the opposite side and maybe stick, maybe take a step
back with the jabs. So that's kind of like what
I like to do. But again, I can't do that
in my main fights. But when I'm sparring, when I'm
(56:38):
hitting the bag, I'm still I'm training that way. So
it just makes me overall if I do fight like continuous,
because they do.
Speaker 3 (56:46):
Offer that, they haven't offered it in a long time.
Speaker 1 (56:48):
But if they offered like continuous in my age bracket,
I'd be able to do that and go in there.
Speaker 3 (56:53):
But I know nobody wants that.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
Nobody wants continuous in my age bracket because.
Speaker 4 (56:59):
Dude, you got so much. You have so much energy
that you would out last. That's it. You have the
most energy out of anybody I know in life.
Speaker 1 (57:08):
Yes, he's like God, he's got like a whole cott
and it's of energy.
Speaker 3 (57:13):
He's just it's over there. It's why we have these
beautiful shirts.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
Trust me, I've been out drinking with you, so I
know what kind of energy you bring.
Speaker 1 (57:22):
Yeah, I go into this, I go into a mode
where I just go and you gotta wrangle me in
or you like, I'm good, you just go up to me,
you go, hey, we're gonna we're gonna go.
Speaker 4 (57:33):
Let's wind it up. Let's go wind it up.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
Yeah, Yeah, I gotta gotta go, gotta call him out
because yeah, I'm like like an animal.
Speaker 3 (57:41):
I'm an animal.
Speaker 1 (57:44):
But if you don't, you leave me unchecked, I'll just
be going all over the place.
Speaker 3 (57:48):
Sooner or later, hanging from the ceiling. I've lost stuff.
Speaker 4 (57:51):
I lost you two or three times. I couldn't find it.
Speaker 3 (57:54):
I was doing cartwheels.
Speaker 4 (57:55):
Bro, I'm.
Speaker 1 (57:59):
Man.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
I I Expo is always a good time, man. But definitely,
next year, I'm definitely not gonna be like that. I'm
not taking that. Next year. I'm not gonna take my
B plus super complex.
Speaker 1 (58:10):
I've learned my lesson to never take those when I'm
gonna point, fight or do any kind of anything in
life that may do like bring out the wild side
of me.
Speaker 4 (58:21):
No more and no more THC drinks Man, no more.
Speaker 3 (58:28):
You would think that would have put me to sleep.
Speaker 4 (58:30):
No, they do more hyper, they do more hyper and
on that.
Speaker 3 (58:42):
Another great show, Dan.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
I know people want to get out of here. Go
watch some football stuff like that. Thank you for coming on.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
It's a blast.
Speaker 1 (58:48):
And again next week there's no Fight Club of Pain
because there's no event. Then of course we get the
Fight Night in a couple of weeks, and then of
course UFC three twenty. So get you a little bit
of time, come join us, talk to us on the
X about some fights or whatnot, or if you.
Speaker 3 (59:04):
Want that football fever, we'd do it. Man. I love it. Man.
I hope your team wins this week.
Speaker 1 (59:09):
Seattle's a big thing, but I think DJ is gonna
get a little revenge.
Speaker 4 (59:12):
I'll be at the game, man, I'll be there.
Speaker 1 (59:15):
Oh dude, I'm gonna be rooting for you. Yeah, and
that's that's gonna be great, man.
Speaker 3 (59:21):
And make sure you set your line up before you
go to the game, because.
Speaker 4 (59:24):
I already said.
Speaker 2 (59:26):
All right, breddy much love.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
