Speaker 1 (00:00):
Eh, buddy in it. Get out the insurance cards, get
out the copas.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
The office is, doctor, let's get to it.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
What's up, everybody.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
It's heat override and I'm ready to bring the pain
for you and doctor Rhoda this week.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Oh yeah, it's the fight Club of Pain. We're finally open.
What's up, Dan, How you doing?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
I'm doing a little better, man better.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
That's good. That's good, that's good. I'm jacked up. I
got a little bit of the spooky stuff going on.
Oh yeah, make sure a little bit of the macho
spook ticket. Yeah that season, spooky season, spooky season. So
while everybody gets piled in here, we start getting some
shares going on and everything going on.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Of course, it's the Club of Pain. This is what
we do. We talk about fight theory.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
We're gonna be talking about UFC Vegas one ten this week.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Garcia verse and don't worry, don't get him, don't get
him confused.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
For Musasa because MSA doesn't win us money on NAMA.
That has on us money. But we'll talk about that.
But man, look at this card. What was your first thought.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
That I'm not gonna bother watching it? That was my
first instinct.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Dude, that's hilarious. That's dude, that is buddy.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I'm gonna change my background up just to make it
a little dark, to kind of go with the background,
make me look.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Spooky a little bit.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
But dude, I mean, I'm gonna watch it because I
want to make sure that I stay fresh on all
these fights. I want to know all the fighters coming
out and everything like that.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Bring the numbers and all that craziness going on.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
We got a lot of soup cans on this on
this card, but we do have some matches that do
mean something. Uh, going to you could say that the
katlen Vieira versus Norma Dumont fight, that's a huge you
gotta number three versus number four, So that's a huge
fight or a huge, huge fight for the women's bantamweight division.
(02:16):
So you know that that that could go either way.
Are you familiar with both of those fighters?
Speaker 2 (02:21):
I I know them, Uh, I watched their last fights,
but I couldn't tell you. I couldn't pick them out
from the lineup.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Not Dan is like the w w E fan of wrestling.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
If you don't mean something, you don't mean something, you
gotta make you gotta make a you gotta make a
splash or you gotta make someone splash on the ground,
and that way Dan'll be like, oh, this guy might
actually be good, and we'll be talking.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
About one of those fighters. It'll be the first fight
that we actually featured today because I just like, normally
we don't cover somebody making, like making their debut like this.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah. I just feel like I see something in this dude.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
And I don't know what I see yet, but I
I know a lot of people.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
See things in him. So, but we'll get to that
part of that.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
But going back to last week the eye pop, do
you famous, I pope, what it.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Was your opinion of that?
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Do you think everybody's going overboard about we should change
it automatic point deduction?
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Blah blah blah? What is your thoughts now?
Speaker 2 (03:30):
I think the doctor came in. The doctor said he
didn't see any real damage. The fighter said he couldn't see.
No one knows what happened. Yeah, well we all know
he got poked in the eye, but no one knows
if he could see or not but him. So, I mean,
there's nothing you could do. Was he given up? Maybe
(03:50):
could he see? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Yeah, yeah, And so that was my thing. I was
watching it live and like it happened so fast. But
as I explore, like when I'm throwing a sidekick, because
normally the point fighting gloves the way that they are,
they're they're you know, I hold it out like that.
When I'm throwing a sidekick without the gloves on, I
(04:14):
do put my hand out. I do put my hand out.
And I have poked somebody in the eye one time
as well too. I mean probably a little more than
one time that I know of, but one time pretty bad.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
He cut he's he went to his right.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Of course, I hit him with my right, my reverse punch,
and when he moved my thumb went right into his eye.
It cut him on his nose as well too. So
they stopped the match because of the blood that was.
And that was one of those matches where literally I
had to stop attacking the face because they were going
to disqualify me. But so it happens in the in
(04:52):
the moment, and I didn't I was in my own zone,
so like people couldn't tell me that, and they didn't
get a hold, like not me out of that zone
until a few stoppages, and then finally I like looked
over and seeing them yelling at me.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
So it is a very hard thing to judge in
the fight.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
But if you can't see, you're going against some of
the world's best fighters, it's probably safe to just call
it out. But as your main event, that does kind
of leave a sore eye on it, right.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
I mean, the thing is one of the greatest of
all time. John Jones, that's what he did to Gabe's distance.
He would stick his hand out and he put he
would put it in your face, and he poked everyone
he fought in the eye. Everybody's ever fought. He poked
him in the eye.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
You're right about that.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
So you should not be able to straight straighten your
arm with your fingers out. It should be I agree,
it should be a point deduction.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
So at that point, say of fight goes that far,
there is a point deduction, but the fighter cannot continue.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Do you go to the scorecards?
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Then? I say, in a championship fight, if it happens
in the third round, yeah, because you got three you
got two and a half rounds to judge. But if
it happens in the first round, like what what scorecard
are you going to go to? Or the second round.
What scorecard are you going to go to whoever won
the first round? That's a feel out period.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Yeah, yeah, you know what.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
You raise a great, great point about that rate there,
because that that rate there tells you like, there's just
not enough to really go off of, and even the
defest slates when you looked at him, you you know,
and I had one hundred percent exposure to aspenall. So
it's twenty two points on DraftKings, it's ten points on
fandle or twenty two points on fandle. Ten points on
(06:51):
DraftKings did not help my lineups at all. All of
my lineups that were in cash games did score, but
my lineups that were in the GPPs were literally three
points from scoring. So if this fight goes any longer,
just goes to the second round, I don't care who wins,
there's gonna be enough points where I get those points
(07:13):
to score the extra cash. Now, that actually set me
out a little bit, but that's what happens in a
lot of these fights.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
We've seen this already.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
When we went back to one of the fighters that
we will be talking about, to a growin kick that
saw that fight with Reese and everybody knows. I'm talking
about Dumas that fight with Reese that day. I was
one hundred percent exposed to Reese. So it teaches me
a lesson that even if I'm making five, six, seven lineups,
because that's about what I make per week, three per site,
(07:43):
that I need to stop at least do two and
go back to one because of situations like this.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
Right yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm just like, I mean, even
this week, this card, it brings nothing, no excitement at all.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
But I mean last week brought a little bit of excitement.
We got to see McKenzie Drn win a title, right.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Yeah, we did, and shake them booties, Babit gott a
DJ Magic Mike's song.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
We got. We got to see her win the title.
I mean that I think it was a bad decision.
I think she kind of lost that fight.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
But dude, I will say this just to throw it in.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Go on, after this, Janda Robas scored twenty five points.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah, yeah, she was boxing her face off.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
She was slamming the shit out of her too.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Because on DraftKings they count a takedown is five points.
So like when Morob had the twenty takedowns, do the math.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
That's one hundred points straight.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
One hundred points straight, and if that's your captain, those
points are almost impossible to.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Lose out on because of that.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
But it's hard when you look at all the fighters
on a card to see and partict, well, that guy
is gonna get twenty because that's just an outlandish.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Number to get. But he got it.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
But jander Roba got it, and and and Dern did
enough enough to sway the judges on that one.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yeah, she did enough. I mean I had it even
in going into the fifth, but I think Janderoga won
the fifth.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
So yeah, and you know I feel the same way too.
We did pick jander Oba. We'll go over last week's
numbers real quick, of course.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, I know.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
I know because you went too and two, sir, and
I went one in three because of that. But yes,
that's what the kind of the things that I was
looking at. But it was, you know, in hedging ourselves.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
I was able to return money on the McKenzie durn side.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
But kind of at this point, it was the middle
of the day Saturday, there was a lot going on.
I kind of kind of tapped out, kind of left
the house, went did some shopping and kind of had
to take care and then that's when I came back
for those fights. But at the same I mean I
still saw umar NORMALGAMETIV versus Mario Batista.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
I think I did that. I said that, right, you did.
We learned things here.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
But even and and after having a great week two
weeks last or two weeks ago for the parlay of
pain for one we had, we we went.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I went one and four.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Now I did the no distance practically the whole thing
was no distance. I was just doing something. I wanted
to try something. Some weeks I'm gonna be crazy. I'm
gonna try something, and I troty this week. I got
it even beat. I gotta beat even more. But I'm
taking some chances.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
On that one.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
But eight and four overall for my picks without the
aspenall fight because aspball was my fight, but it doesn't count.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
So it was a good card.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
There was way too many ball kicks that that slowed
down so many things.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
There was a couple of funky decisions.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Everybody's talking about the Mitch Roposo that he actually outworked.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
He outworked as at Maxim.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
And Maxim I think got cut and then you got
at the same time you have the huge you have
the huge decision that a lot of people thought I'll made.
A a lot of people agreed that I'll made have
lost that fight by having no action on the ground.
But that just shows why sometimes being the more active
fighter means something.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
But the biggest thing was Jose Delgado losing to Nathaniel
Would And one of the guys I was that, what
didn't you did you did you check that out at all?
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Now? You were texting me about it.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah, so I one of the guys brought up I'm
gonna say, I think it was bet Sam. He said
that Nathaniel Wood had seven decisions before this fight and
Delgado none and that and it seems like that the
prodigy Would a fighter you have taken against somebody that
(12:09):
I picked and thought was gonna have.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
A great fight against.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
He just knows how to do enough work to make
the judges think he won that fight. Yeah, but del
Gotto outstruck him. Del Gatto pieced him up. But I
thought that del Gotto thought it became too easy. It
was like del Gotto was in easy mode. He wasn't gassed.
He was an easy mode. And I think when the
judges saw that that's what may have lost that for
(12:33):
del Gotto because Wood was active.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yeah, and I was three. I was three and one
last week and two.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm just whatever. I mean, we
don't even we don't even catch that.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
But yeah, man, you you smashed it out and you
you came back, and I'm trying to climb out of
the hole that I'm in. But the thing is overall,
like you said last week, and I brought up to
you earlier this week and then brought up on my
podcast on Tuesday that you actually said it that UFC
is practically one of the hardest sports to predict. Illeborate
(13:17):
just a little bit about.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
That, no matter if you're a beginner or a season
that if you step in the ring together for the
octagon together, one punch can make the difference in a fight.
So you can't you don't see that in baseball. You
don't see that in hockey, football, basketball. One basket isn't
(13:42):
going to make the difference for a whole game. You know,
one punch can change a whole fight.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Yeah yeah, And actually there's a couple of the fighters
actually the main event. Both Garcia and Aama have faced
that average that that in the past, that adversity in
the past, almost being knocked out constantly and then having
a fighter come back and then having battles like the
land where Onama battle these Anything can happen in a fight,
(14:14):
and just like so, we just saw that the commission
denied the match, that there was a couple was Neil
Magni decision over, Yeah, they denied that.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
So that straight up Magni's win. And even though it.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Looked like he was crazy at the end, it showed
that if you tap somebody out and it looks weird
and you don't maybe apply that full pressure or act
like you're doing it, you get that weird stuff and
then you're.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
The guy that gets choked out later.
Speaker 5 (14:45):
So yeah, it's just it's a lesson, bro, I mean,
and it even elaborate more on it.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
In football, when you're running the ball, someone can't jump
on your back and took you out, you know what
I mean, to tackle you. So yeah, man, anything could
happen in fights.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Anything, Yeah, exactly that it's it's it's exactly what happened
with the Sulked fight this week. You know a lot
of people didn't believe in him. I like that crazy dude, man.
I like Quillan Salklid or Salkid self killed whatever. I'm
off it right now, but I like him. I like
him a lot. It was it was hack Prass verse Salkid.
(15:28):
Oh yeah, every everybody had but dude.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
He kicked that man. That man slump slept hit did.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
The Julio Dan, Yeah, he was up there. He went
to sleep.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
I and as a as as a point fighter. That's
he had his hands up. He had his hands almost
like kind of there, but it didn't matter. Didn't matter.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Once that once that strike comes through to sleep, they
go yep, all right, all right, that's some crazy stuff.
I'm I'm excited for this week. So we got it.
We got everything going down. There was a fight change
of course. We had Alan Nessamento. He gets Cody Durdin
(16:16):
and Nasamento is definitely, in my opinion, will win that fight.
You could probably take the knockout and sub I don't
think Cody Durdan had enough time to actually do that,
and I don't trust Cody Durdan's.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Chin at this point.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
It's just one of those fights I'm throwing in real quick, Dan,
what do you think about it?
Speaker 2 (16:35):
I didn't even look it up, knocking a lot of you.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, you don't gotta look it up. You don't got
to say anything. Do you know who Cody Durden is though?
Right suit kid?
Speaker 3 (16:47):
I liked I like you see you get me with
those crazy questions and I love fringing that soup.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah, spooky soup.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
All right, let's get to it, let's get too. UFC
Fight nights Vegas won ten. Got see a Verse on
Nama the first fight we got.
Speaker 6 (17:10):
We got our boy, the newcomer, this badass dude, Dante Johnson, Verse,
the convict, ex convict, guy, parole, whatever you call him,
Saidric Klaus Dan talk about it.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
I'm gonna start with dumass Man. Since he got out
of prison, I mean since he's been in the octagon,
he's gone three three zero to one in this two years. Man. Uh.
He does a good job of using his reach and
in his fights, and he usually keeps his lead hand
extended gates in this distance. He has power to hurt people,
but he's never finished anyone inside the octagon. He's also
(17:49):
showing a willingness to fight on the ground and grapple
with people if they want to bring it. Uh. Johnson
Man the six and zero prospect. He just got his
contract on the Contennis Series in August. Uh. He has
never been out of the first round in any of
his professional fights. From what I've seen of him, he
(18:09):
likes to walk down his opponents with reckless abandon and
whale punches. Uh. He he absorbs as much punishment as
he takes, but he usually does the harder hitting.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
His competition hasn't been the best, and I truly questioned
his cardio because we've never seen that side of him.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
I try, you know, you're completely one hundred percent.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
He is.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
As I said to you, this is Mike Tyson. This
is the Mike Tyson of the UFC. Man, this back
is huge. Dude.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Did I break that down? I'm good enough, man.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
You broke it. You broke it down, good enough, man.
I loved it, Dude. That was great. Dude. That was great.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Man. Oh, dude, like the way he comes in, like
you said, just the reckless abandonment on that we I've
actually got wild as hell and threw money on that
fight with him and that giant and he made that
but and I was heavyweight, made that boy timber.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
His ass down. He chopped that boy down and he
did it.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
He just he went at him and he was just
up Bush Bush. It's gotta be the back, is it, Dan?
Is it the back?
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Ah? That's that's where a lot of your punching power
comes from. Man.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
I think his back half of his back is the
size of duans.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
And in no disrespect, dude, Dumas is a good dude.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Like I mean, outside of the other crazy stuff, like,
he is a well rounded fighter.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
He can fight.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
He's trying to make he's trying to right his wrong
life around he is. But right now he is being
served up. Let's hit those numbers real quick. The distance
know on this is a negative eight fifty, so they
don't think it's going And and the round prop was
under one and a half and it was like a
negative like three hundred. I was just like, ugh, we're
(20:08):
not gonna be playing with those things. So that being said,
knocked out for this fight is a negative three twenty.
I'm pretty sure that's what's gonna happen in this fight.
I've got the knockouts bets all over. Sub is plus
five fifty. I think they're trying to taunt us with
the sub So if you want to get on the
Dumas side, If dan what he brought up, If Dante
(20:32):
Johnson gases and just got he just he Dumas survives
that first round, Dumas gets him on the ground and
is able to say some of his do some of
his work, then money line no distance for Dumas is
a plus three seventeen knockout. In sub Dumas does and
(20:52):
can sub, but I'm not saying he's gonna sub Johnson.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
It is a plus three seventy.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
His first and second round knockout, which I completely love.
On the Dumas side is a plus seven hundred. That's
where the action is.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
That's where I go.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
If he gasses, I think Dumas still has a chance
to knock him out. Of course, first and second round
knockout for Johnson negative one fifty knockout and sub for
Johnson negative two sixty.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
They think that boy's.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Gonna rop that neck around him and choke that boy out.
Money Line in no distance is actually modest parlayed together
with a negative two seventy two, and I got a round.
The round one knockout for Johnson is a plus one twenty.
But here's a little here's a little snip for you.
Third minute round one knockout by Johnson is a plus
(21:41):
six point fifty. I'm taking the third minute. We're nailing
a third minute knockout, and I'm gonna do it, and
I'm I'll keep playing it until we nail it. This
is the fight. I feel we're gonna nail this if
Dumas can last to the third.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Minute of round one. What do you think about those
numbers and what this fight tells.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Us that all the numbers are saying that nobody thinks
this fight's going to distance at all.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
No, no, no, not at all. I don't think this
is this is gonna go the distance at all. So
who do you got winning? My brother?
Speaker 2 (22:14):
All right? I got this going past the first round.
I think Dumas has the chin to take Johnson into
the deep water, but I do have Johnson squeaking out
a decision when whoooo.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
So what's really crazy about that is if you get that,
that is a plus seven seven six.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
On FanDuel right now. I still love you, FanDuel, I
still love you.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Right That's a crazy number because even if you go
down and you take the you take the no distance,
you're a negative two seventy two.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Like I said, but that that's good.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
So you're taking this is this is going to be
a test that Dumas is gonna show up and show
that he can hold his ground against an up and
coming and I think you are onto something right there,
because if he can weather that storm and take it
the distance and do distance and maybe get him down
on the ground Johnson down on the ground and be
(23:16):
able to outlast him. Vegas likes damage, but that doesn't
mean that Dumas can't get that win.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
And if you do.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Dumas distance with money line is a plus nine twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
That's not bad.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
I still got Johnson squeaking out the wind by deces.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
I know you do. I know you do.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
So we're gonna get your get your get your right
there decision. I love it, And that's that's that's money.
That's money in this card. There is a few fights
that I really want to knock out in, but it's
like it's like you just know it's gonna go decision.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Yeah, just know that.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
All right, all right, let's move along. Let's get to
a let's get to a heavyweight fight. No Burgers included these.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Guys don't have that problem. We're talking about.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Waldo Cortes Acosta verse, aren't they, Delisia Dan talk about
it all.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Right, Delisia Man. This is his second fight in the
UFC and he's the former PFL champ. He has a
nine inch reach advantage in this fight, which is absolutely crazy.
Hugheses his Leadjeb Well to set up his power shots.
He's aggressive yet measured when he fights. He has a
fan friendly, big man fighting style. He could put your
(24:33):
lights out with one punch, and his last win just
proved it. Waldo Cortes Acosta, He's seven and two in
the UFC, five and one this last six and his
only loss was Avolovic who He's a technical boxer with
a good output for a big man. He has rangy
(24:54):
power and when he does hurt someone, he's quick to
follow up with precision to put the fight away. But
his stand up defense is sketchy at best. He absorbs
almost four strikes per minute and he gets hit hard.
This is the heavyweight division.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Yeah, you bring that Pavlovich not knocking him out when
he knocked dude, He knocked him multiple times.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
In that Yeah, and that I picked Pavlovitch in that
I love.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
I think we both do.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah, we did, but we both love. I love w
c A. I love Waldo man, he he's just my
type of guy.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
But I really thought he was gonna actually feel the mat.
I thought he was get knocked out. And that's the Pavlovich.
He took those he took all those blows and it
was like the.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Minute he got cracked.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
There was this one point he just knocked him and
Waldo kind of went right in the cage and like
stepped back, and then right after that he wipes his
chin like that and they're back into it, and I'm.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Like, yeah, in pavlov it's followed, but he was able
to back out of that.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
So for me, I see, this is one of those
fights I can see go the distance. But I don't think.
I know that Delisia can go the distance. But it
makes me think that if he does go the distance,
this would actually favor Waldo over Delisia.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Then it would.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
But I still feel that after what he did Todburan
Mark Tiburan, he I feel that he can try to
knock out Waldo, but I don't think. I don't think
that he has more power than pavloj am I wrong.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
I think this comes down to both these guys like
the standup bang.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
I think it comes down to one the reach advantage,
which is a nine ms reach advantage.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
Can Waldo get inside? Will he uses leg kicks to
get inside?
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
And all around? I think Waldo is the better boxer
of the two. It's gonna be a kickboxing match. These
guys aren't going to the ground either of them like
to Yeah, m I it depends on if Waldo could
get inside and if he can't, you know, Delisia can
(27:21):
use his use his range. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
And I think that that going towards a distance that
would that's that It seems like that would mean that
Deleisia is most likely gonna land more significant strikes because
he is an active boxer.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
He is highly active.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
And and I don't think that w c A is
gonna be able to outwork him in that department.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
So if it did go that far, I think it
could favor Delisia.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
When we look at the numbers real quick distance, yes,
is a plus one hundred distance knows a negative one
twenty eight. Also, by the way, there is some weird
like problems going on with this fight. Some weird like
jumpies going on with the parlays, so you're getting a
better parlay when you I'll get to that. So distance, yes,
(28:13):
plus one hundred distant no, negative one twenty eight. Knocked
out is a plus one ten. If you want some action,
that's the action you take. I don't think either one
of these dudes are going for a sub at all,
so that for me right there, just play the knockout.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
The sub is a plus seven hundred. Under two point
five rounds is a negative one oh two.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
I'm kind of sketchy on that unless you feel under
and I'll talk about that in a few seconds. So
let's roll over to the Delegia side. We got knockout
in points negative one ten. What I just said about
him out working Waldo is the knock and being able
to If he was able to knock out Waldo, who
hasn't you know he's gonna be able to get that
(28:55):
down That negative one ten is good. Also, if you
feel that he could knock out and it could go
the distance, you want your money back. Decision No bet
Nega two hundred knockout and sub for Deleisia just in
case is a plus one sixty five and knockout in
the first and second round four. Delisia is plus three
forty over on the cost to side first second round
(29:18):
knockout plus five hundred money line distance yes plus two
seventy six. No is a plus three hundred. I don't
understand that that that's one of.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Those things I was telling you that makes zero sense.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Yeah, it's supposed to go down. The no distance is
a negative one twenty eight. So, like I was saying,
this is one of those things when it's parlayed, it's
giving you a freaking number. Hey, that's what happens on
fandulis sometimes, and I always seem.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
To find them. Knockout for.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Waldo is plus two to fifty decision no bet plus
one fifty four and I'll get that knockout and sub
plus three fifty knockout in points is plus one fifteen.
I don't know if Delesia can knock out Waldo Cortes Acosta,
but I think I feel that Waldo Cortes Acosta ken
(30:07):
knock out ante Delisia. I feel that he's been he's
the younger fighter, he's been in the bigger battles. I mean,
Delisia had his time off, came back and then got
an overrated melted Marshallello Ti Buren and just smoked him, smoked.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Him on the feet.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
And if he does that, that's why I feel that
the knockout hedge is good. You can head yourself that way,
but I definitely love that knockout plus the two fifty
on that side, Dan, who do you got winning?
Speaker 2 (30:40):
So? I think, like I said, it's going to be
the battle of the big men standing up.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Truthfully, Waldo has fought better competition in his career. The
PFL is the minor leagues. Like I said, there's levels
to this game. I think Waldo out point to win
by decision. Man.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Oh yeah, dude, that's it.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
So win by decision, that's the broken that's the broken
simulation right there. You get the plus one fourteen for Waldo,
you get the decision is a plus one hundred is
the plus two twenty six. You see, That's why I
just don't understand that should be the plus three hundred
and not the was that? So you get a plus
two twenty six with knock with Waldo distance money line,
(31:28):
I love it, dude. You know what, I haven't picked
a fight for this. You saw that I did not
under I did not underline this.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Yeah, and.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
I'm gonna All.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
Week all I could talk about was Delesia. I will
have Deleisia in my DFS lineup, but I am going
to take Waldo Cortez Acosta when we both picked Pavlovic
against him and I saw the abuse he took in
that fight and still went the distance.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Either one of these fighters can definitely go the distance,
and I feel that if what I saw last time
leads to that, get you good points for your DFS.
I'm picking Waldo Cortez Acosta, but I'm gonna stick with
his knockout in points that's a plus one fifteen. I'm
(32:19):
gonna roll it back with knockout for the whole fight
because I feel that the Delesia is that side. And
then if you feel like you want to cover yourself,
do the do the money line in distance yes with
Delesia or under.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
With Delizia if you feel that you want to go
that way.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
But right now I think we can say stave by
just hedging with the knockout at plus one ten, taking
WCA with the distance at plus two to twenty six,
taking the money the knockout and points with that, so
that if we get the knockout, we get the.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Double points on the WCAA side.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
If we get the knockout from Delesia, all of our
bets are already covered on that side. And then that's
why I think that that that fight. It could go
either way, but I think we played down the middle.
We'll make some money on that fight. It was a
hard fight though I didn't put that fight in the part.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
It was a tough one to pick. Man.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
I couldn't do that. I couldn't do that.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Man.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
That was just.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
Not doing that, alright, Alright to that point, it is
not only the featured fight of the night, it is
also the main events.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
We got our dude, Steve Garcia in.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
US.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
David Onama, Dan defends your fighter.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
Alright, man, my fighter is Steve Garcia. He is on
a six fight winning streak and quitting five knockout finishes.
He most recently got done beaten and breaks off of
Calvin Cater to a decision. He brings high pressure and
finishing ability to the featherweight division that is needed in
that division. Garcia mixes up at tax using calf kicks
(34:04):
at body shots to wear his opponents down. Onama has
struggled against volume fighters in the past that bring chaos
to the fight. Steve Garcia is a volume fighter that
thrives in the chaos. His superior output movement and ability
to outlast sluggers make this an easy pick.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
Whoa all right man?
Speaker 3 (34:26):
I can't let them silent assassin David Onama no fight
club included.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
That's what he is.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
We're talking about the number thirteenth rank fighter in the
featherweight division.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
He's on a four fight win streak too, right.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
At the same time, his two losses were decisions to
quality opponents. The Nate land Weir battle Insane Mason Jones,
a man that has won US money, gave him his
first loss. Mason Jones is a bad ass and he
is also a high volume fighter.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
It just like Nate Landward getting at your little point.
But from that of.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
The two decision losses, he has three decision wins. He
has seven knockouts, four subs, and that all stems from
that strength that growing up back when he came off
of the Kai Gwangli refugee settlement, moved to Kansas City
to pursue his UFC dreams, David Andama is gonna come
(35:29):
down the middle.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Your boys a little wild.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
I like the Garcia style, but when Onama comes down it,
he's gonna tag him and tag him.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
This fight isn't going over. Someone's hitting the mat.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
It might be Garcia, it might be Onama, but because
we're giving him the cheddar.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
We're gonna always remember them forever.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (35:54):
So we'll run through the numbers real quick and then
we'll get into talking about this fight, because there is
a lot to talk. You are right about Garcia. He
is crazy, crazy good distance No. Negative seven and fifty
knockout negative three thirty. We gotta play a people. Both
these dudes really don't care about submitting you. Other than Onama,
Garcia has a good ground game, can submit you, probably
(36:17):
won't submit you. He's gonna try to knock you out.
The wars that I've seen him, bro, Steve Garcia versus
Cheppy Morisco, they was slamming the shit out to.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
Each other's jaws, knocking each other down, rolling over, slamming
each other.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
They were in fench clinch, fence clinch, knocking each other, slamming,
still and rolling and fighting and rolling. I love Steve
Garcia because he is stat gritty dude.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
He's chaos.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
He is chaos. He's chaos defined.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
And so knockout negative three thirty sub plus six fifty
decision no bet on the Enama side plus one eighteen
KNOCKOUTMA side plus two twenty first second, third round knockout
for Anama two seventy onto the Kdar side or not
Cada you on the Garcia side give make me think
(37:12):
about that knockout plus one oh five knockout in points
negative one thirty. I just don't feel this is going
the distance. But I don't think he's gonna sub. But
if it didn't go to the distance, knockout and points
on the Garcia side, butter that way you get covered.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Decision no bet.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
So here all these knockout bets are really kind of
jacked up, but they did give us some positives, unlike
are Dante Johnson fight.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
Decision no bet is a negative one fifty. That's awesome.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
If it goes distance, get your money back and it
doesn't in in Garcia.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
Gets that win, You get that. So for that, I
love that.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Over one and a half rounds a negative one twenty two.
I could see these guys going over and over one
and a half rounds, and I think that could be
good money to make.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
It's it's worth a shot.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
But if this does get a little crazy and say
this goes late, I don't think Garcia is gonna slow down,
but I think that if he throws too much volume
and Onamas is able to take this long. The third, fourth,
fifth round submission for Anama is a plus twenty seven hundred's.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
It's one of those things I'm looking at.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
It may be a pathway to victory for Anama late
and that's what I'm going to so looking at those numbers,
hearing that, what do you think?
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Ah? It sounds like from what you said, no one
really thinks this is going the distance. Man, nobody fakes
this as going in the distance.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
I don't think it is. Do you do you think
this is going to distance? Who do you got winning?
Speaker 2 (38:51):
Ah? I think Steve Garcia overwhelms him, keeps him on
his back foot. Onama's pretty bad at fighting off of
his back foot. Yeah, And I think Garcia finishes the
third round TKO, third round TKO.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
I do love that action that we have in that
rate there. The third round, man, I need to crack
me a beer right. Third round knockout for Steve Garcia
is a plus fourteen hundred per third round. I am
putting money on that that is going to be a play.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
I don't know if we get an early finish for
this one. It's possible, but that's why i want to
cover with the one two three. But I'm also willing
to come down to the knockout for Onama.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
And the thing is Garcia is just so raw, but
he has lost. He has lost, so for me, not
in his last six, not in his last six.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
I like the two three four action with Onama for
the for the knockout at plus five point fifty if
you want to try to hedge yourself. But I also
will say that the two three four for plus three
four is also a nice middle action too, so that well,
I'm when I went to the total rounds on this
fight because I felt that when I saw some of
(40:12):
those lines, I was like, the total round should probably
be around three and a half, maybe two and a half.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
They have the total rounds, like I said, it one
and a half, so for me, they that's why I
feel it's easy.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
It's almost easy money that that negative one twenty two
should be able to hit.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
It's worth a shot.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
If you don't feel confident in that, throw a half
a unit down.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
I'm gonna throw a half unit.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
Down on that because I'm gonna try to work that
magic and hit that little things. Plus that fourteen hundred
right there, that's the that is, that is the sauce
of all things. So if we're thinking that the third
round is gonna be where the action is, we're gonna
also roll that. We're also gonna look at the third
round knockout for ANAMA is plus eighteen hundred, So the
money is in that third round. Man, this is gonna
(40:56):
be a banger. I got Steve Garcia, I got Steve Garcia.
Speaker 1 (41:00):
I'm gonna roll knockout. I'm gonna do.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
I'm gonna do the first second, third round knockout for me.
That's gonna be my My coverage one is definitely easy.
I also, of course, like I said earlier and playing,
I'm going two units on the knockout for itself because
they're gonna three thirty rule. He is gonna return that
sixty seven practically, you know, sixty seven cents on the dollar.
Whatever you want to look at it. Like, so I've
(41:25):
got it, I've I got all that.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
This was gonna be.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
I think that these three fights that we covered, we
don't ever really cover somebody like Dante Johnson now, but
I thought that this was this was these were three
fights that deserve to be covered on this show this week.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
I agree, what do you? I agree with you? Hey,
you picked you picked the three best fights of the week, man,
and I think this enough. Oama Garcia Fight's gonna be
fighting the night.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
So yeah, yeah, I honestly, in as speaking towards a
fan like yourself that really only this is probably the
only fight that someone them like yourself would tune in for.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
Because there's chaos.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
I'm I'm not a casual fan. I'm not like I
love the sport and I do watch I do watch
the sport, and I do do my homework because we
have this podcast. Yeah, it's just I'm not full fledged
into it like you are. I'm not. I don't watch tape.
I don't. I don't pull up old fights, I don't.
(42:29):
I don't do any of that. I go by what
I've seen.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
Yeah, exactly, And that's that's that's why it's great to
have you and you've been part of this show since
the beginning, because you bring that knowledge, you bring that expertise,
you bring what you've seen over the years. Whereas, like
I said, all this entire time we've been doing this
is I have to literally watch the last ten years.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
Of the UFC through all these videos.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
And it's so hard, especially right now during football season
because we have so much going on at Doctor Roto
with all you know, the articles.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
I have an article the right after this.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
When I get done, I mean, I've I've got the
five Tastic picks that'll be out, but of course I've
got that other article.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
I gotta do the top defenses.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
So that's the number one priority while we'll get to
watch some football. But dude, it's it's been a hell
of a run. It's been fun. And that is the
commitment that we have to this show. The expertise that
we bring that we hope that this fight theory helps
people nail those finishes that like that plus fourteen hundred
that is able to bring you more than say a
(43:36):
double up or you know, you throw ten dollars down
and you only win one hundred. You throw ten dollars
down on that you're gonna win one forty, right, we're
not trying to win eight bucks, which is fine. You
can build your bank rule. But when you're able to
take a shot, maybe throw down, you know, three or
four units on that plus fourteen hundred and if that hits,
(43:56):
that's when you head yourself with that one two three,
And if it happens earlier, you get your money back.
You'll already sit in good and you got a chance.
You got your money invested in something that if it
does happen, it just blows out the water man. That's
what it's all about.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
Man.
Speaker 1 (44:14):
I love it. I love it all right, brother, man?
Speaker 3 (44:17):
Is there I know there ain't nothing else you really
want to talk about on that card unless you thought
maybe maybe you had a unique finish you you had
thought about one of these three fights, on one of
these three fights. Yeah, what's the craziest thing you can
think of?
Speaker 2 (44:39):
I mean, I can see Johnson winning my first round knockout.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Yeah, yeah, I got that's the plus. That's the plus
one twenty.
Speaker 3 (44:47):
And that's and it sucks that they they fandel Has
has definitely caught on and we're feeling that in the
NFL side too, that I feel that and I've said
this a few times before that.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
The UFC this year really made the sport.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
Books pull back because of how the and that's now
bled into the other sports, and so they're using that
same technique that so won't make a lot of money
for us. And that's why being able to take these
these shots is worth it. So let's get actually crazy
with that fight. Let's go down. You're you're saying first
(45:23):
round knockout. I gave third minute round knockout. I know
second minute round knockout is a plus six to fifty
as well too. But if we do Johnson, winning minute
in the first round of any round is plus six hundred.
That's a nice little thing. Throw a half unit on it.
You might, you might get lucky. And if you get the.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Johnson, first minute of round one is plus eight hundred.
Speaker 3 (45:48):
If you feel he's gonna come out and just slug
the shit out of Dumas and that's not gonna last
longer than sixty seconds, I think that plus eight hundred.
I think that plus six hundred. I think the knockout bet,
the knockout third round bet. If you missed those other bets,
you still have the third round knockout and then you
also have the overall knockout at negative three twenty.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
I think that's a whole cover. That's a whole cover.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
I mean, that's what he's known to do. Though he's
known to come out and just beat people up in
the first round.
Speaker 1 (46:15):
So most will just play every minute of the first round.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
Every minute of the first round.
Speaker 3 (46:21):
You got fourth minutes five hundred, third minutes six fifty,
like in the fifth minutes even six fifty. So it
really it could be one of those things where at
some point, but I think it happens early.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
I just think when those hands, it's.
Speaker 3 (46:33):
Been too much, it's been too much and too long
for Dumas that he's felt power like this. And I
bring that up with Johnson because like, like yourself compared
to me, you have a wider back, you're just stronger
because you're a boxer. And Johnson throws kicks too. He
throws kicks, body kicks, so he's gonna try to take that.
(46:56):
He's going to try to work on that. It would
do Moss. I think that the only thing he brings
to that is trying to get him down, although he
can use the head.
Speaker 1 (47:04):
Kick and and you know he is short, but hey,
what's up. Fuego Steve.
Speaker 3 (47:09):
It's good to see your brother, but with some NBA
money tonight NBA money. Speaking of other sports, let's get
to the NFL. This is for tonight's Thursday night game
before for the Ravens versus the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 1 (47:23):
Because Steve's oh, let's go to Ravens fan.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
Let's go finn.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
Oh, shots fired and the doctor rodos.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
I'm a Steeler fan, man, Let's go Finns.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
Yeah, he is, he is, he is. That's why you
got the black shirt because of the black and the gold.
Now I got the blue and the goal because of
the rams.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Look at that nice man.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
You guys play soon. I can't wait to see that game.
Speaker 3 (47:54):
You guys are gonna here goes Steve over here. Look
at this. It's funny to see him coming in. He
must have a break from the from the NBA for
the second What is it? Oh, it's before the eight
o'clock thing.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
Gonna be a close division. If if to Mike tom
Win knew how to coach, it wouldn't be.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
Oh dude, yeah, if he would just stop with this
four tight end nonsense.
Speaker 2 (48:18):
It's not even it's not even the offense. We're scoring
enough points. It's the defense. Stop running that Tampa two
nineteen nineteen. Our two thousand and four offense, Our defense
stop running that same say four.
Speaker 3 (48:33):
Getting Kyle Dugger was a great addition with the loss
of Elliott right now, Dugger is a solid guy. I
know he's not like the problem solved, but I've researched
and I've recommended it. I've followed Kyle Dugger for some time.
He's been a player I've targeted and seemed and used.
Speaker 1 (48:51):
So he is a good player.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
He's popped up on my stats and my simulators a
lot over the last three four years at Doctor Rodo.
Speaker 2 (48:59):
He's probably he's probably gonna be on the practice squad
the rest of the year. I mean, we we only
start for some reason. We love Chuck Clark.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
Chuck Clark, well, he is good. He is good. He
came from the Ravens.
Speaker 2 (49:14):
Is he good? Did you see.
Speaker 1 (49:18):
That's probably can't cover? He can't cover.
Speaker 3 (49:21):
So what I feel is is, you guys need to
do this, and I know that it's not gonna happen.
I feel that Sleigh needs to be moved to safety.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
I think needs to be moved to the bench.
Speaker 3 (49:33):
I'm trying to be modest because he is a decent tackler,
but he just isn't.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
The he's a decent tackler.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
That's a that's a D. That's not a C or
a B DAN. That's a D. That's a D for tackling.
Speaker 2 (49:47):
Yeah, he's terrible. Did just see him just miss every
tackle he tried to make last week?
Speaker 1 (49:54):
I did. I did just diving.
Speaker 2 (49:57):
He was diving an air.
Speaker 1 (49:59):
So that's the We thought that he was gonna be
a great fell and he's not. I don't so for me.
Speaker 3 (50:05):
I think that Joey Porter Jr. Being the nickel and
he has been bummished. I don't think he can handle
those fast quick underneath guys. I think you guys need
to move Porter back out. I think he needs to
move back out take over. That's why I'm trying to
get Sleigh out of there, because I'd rather have Porter
in there getting burnt or whatever, at least trying over
(50:27):
what the hell Slayh's doing.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
I'd rather have Ramsey and Porter on the outside and
Echoes on the inside.
Speaker 3 (50:34):
That's what I'm saying. That's exactly what I'm saying right there,
on the bench, and I think that I want to
say that your other Patrick Queen. A lot of teams
are starting to go again away from Patrick Queen, and
Patrick Queen is not a cover linebacker.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
You guys are kind of what's up.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
Every time Patrick Queen's on the field. The coverage in
the middle is awful. He points people in the wrong direction.
He wears the green dot and he points everyone in
the wrong direction.
Speaker 1 (51:09):
Because he's trying to make those tackles himself.
Speaker 3 (51:11):
And then everybody goes to play gooest where everybody goes
and he doesn't get the tackle.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
He's pour tackles over the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (51:19):
It's it's I'm so frustrated with this defense.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
I I love your front line, but you're not getting
to the quarterback and the quarterbacks are releasing fast.
Speaker 2 (51:31):
So has t J. Watt played it all this year?
Speaker 3 (51:36):
You know, I have not seen. I was pretty pissy
he didn't hit that Parlay. I had a really nice
for him inherance.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
Yeah, and I don't think. I don't think he played
it all this year. What he has, he has four
sacks in eight games.
Speaker 3 (51:48):
He'll amp it up. He's gonna amp it up. Maybe
he's just I said that.
Speaker 2 (51:53):
I said that at the end of last year too.
I was like, Oh, he'll get it, he'll amp it up.
And he ended up with zero tackles in the last
six games, you know, and.
Speaker 3 (52:04):
That really hurt my fantasy teams. It sucks when you
have to take like a player like TJ. Watt or
like what happened with Aaron Donald in his last two
years getting triple teamed off of that and just seeing teams.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
Run away with that.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
What do we got, flowers at Captain Henry Waddle, let's go.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
We got twelve minutes, we got twelve minutes. We got
that game starts at age sixteen, it locks at eight sixteen.
Speaker 3 (52:26):
Here goes my lineup, Captain ANDREWS Jackson, Henry a Chaan Tanner,
Connor Connor. Just for the people who don't know who
that man is, here's the tight end for the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 1 (52:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:38):
He's really cheap too, mind you. I'll take his three
points and Tyler and Loop. I think Baltimore is gonna
be too much for them. Rokwan Smith. I went and
picked him up. I went and picked up the Baltimore
Ravens defense. The Dolphins got lucky they went in. Okay,
I won't say the Dolphins got lucky. The Dolphins played
a crappy La Falcons team with a rusty old Kirk
(53:03):
Cousins who didn't like that and got beat down by
a crappy team that should have got ran over by
Bijon Robinson, making me look like a chump for even
putting him in my lineup last week.
Speaker 1 (53:16):
At least he wasn't the mancho pick of the week.
Speaker 3 (53:17):
Derrick Henry is I said on my show last week,
Dereck Henry is going to have a total of three
touchdowns between these two games.
Speaker 1 (53:25):
Derrick Henry scores tonight.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
Lamar Jackson blew up the Dolphins for five touchdowns, and
Lamar Jackson is going to score a touchdown tonight. I
have Henry and Lamar Jackson parlayed together as both touchdowns
because they didn't start Lamar Jackson on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (53:44):
Because they knew they were gonna win.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
Just like I said, the Ravens were going to win,
and they saved him for tonight so that they can
save Henry. Get Henry ten days off to their next game.
That is gonna be your DFS play of the week.
What do you think about that, Dan, you hate the
Ravens though.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
Id I'm Steelers thing. I absolutely hate the Ravens. I
hate everything about them all. I hate I hate their killers,
of their I hate their coaches.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
He said, I don't even care for Tolloween. I don't care.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
I'm gonna get all right, So let's give Let's give
a draft Kings showdown, slate lineup.
Speaker 1 (54:27):
This is from DFS Hero, So shout out to DFS Hero.
Get over there. Use code word dot get twenty percent off.
Speaker 3 (54:33):
Also, if you're part of Doctor Rodo, head over to
doctor roto dot com right now. Use the code word Trevor.
If that's still active, you get twenty percent off. If not,
use code word win and you will get a percentage
off of your subscription. I mean, Trevor went in that hundred.
Craigy was crazy. We got shows. We had the first
look last night, we got more.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
Tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (54:51):
Doctor Roto will be live with Willie and Swami for
Friday Night Lights, and of course me and Steve will
be live on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (54:59):
Doing the Contrarian Show.
Speaker 3 (55:01):
But let's get this, Let's get this build right here,
and then we're gonna get to the DFS lineup and
we're gonna get you that. So the build is a
chn Captain alec Ingold. I think I think the simulators
went drunk.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
Alec Ingold.
Speaker 3 (55:16):
That's like the guy in my Dynasty League that's at
the top of because there's no running backs that are
worth it, Derrick, Henry, Lamar Jackson, Malik Washington, and Mark Andrews.
It's drunk, all Steve, what do you think about that?
You think it's I think drunk.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
Gotta respect the rivalry. I love the Steelers coach. Well,
you're the only one that loves the Steelers coach. You
know why you love him because he doesn't know how
to game plan it against Henry and Jackson. That's why
you love him. Because he doesn't think. He doesn't change
the defense. And you guys know what play he's call him?
Speaker 1 (55:53):
Got you got?
Speaker 2 (55:58):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (55:58):
If you need a repeat on that, it's Captain is Andrews, Jackson, Henry,
A chan Connor, Tyler Luke, and then the other.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
One was captain was a chan Ingold, what's the guy here?
Speaker 3 (56:11):
And then of course Malik Washington, Jackson and whatever else
I said.
Speaker 1 (56:16):
I pulled it up because.
Speaker 3 (56:17):
I got the DFS Hero Simulated four this week's UFC
Vegas one ten. This is the DFS simulated lineup at
DFS Hero.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
We got Delesia love It.
Speaker 3 (56:30):
Actually the simulator is in tune with my line up,
so I agree with this line of one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (56:37):
Got Eli Kana, We got Lee Love Charno.
Speaker 3 (56:41):
Lee as as you know your cheap guy Deontay Johnson,
woo it picks Wells, It picked it picked Wells. Now
Wells is fighting what we got here. Wells is fighting
Themba gambo, which I feel that that that fight, if
it takes place on the ground, and it's probably to
take place that ground, could go the distance.
Speaker 1 (57:02):
I don't trust that.
Speaker 3 (57:02):
But it also asked Steve Garcia, the only that the
Wells pick is the only pick that I don't like.
And actually you can switch off of the Wells and
you can go up to Kutlan Vieira. I know that
a lot of people don't like that, but for DFS wise,
I'd rather have kitln Vieia in there.
Speaker 1 (57:19):
I like that lineup, and that's that's some wins. Let's
get to my DFS lineup. Did you make a lineup?
Speaker 2 (57:24):
Dan? I did not. I didn't even know I was sick.
I was sick always.
Speaker 1 (57:32):
Do you so?
Speaker 3 (57:33):
My DFS lineup on DraftKings is Delija vi Ea Garcia, Johnson,
Lee Nasamento. I went Nasamento because I had the extra
money to go up. There is one hundred dollars left
on that Nasamento. Getting Cody Dirtin on short notice literally
like one day ago, notice two days ago? Maybe notice
(57:56):
just tells disaster for Cody Dirtin.
Speaker 1 (57:58):
As I brought up earlier.
Speaker 3 (57:59):
He now see how the fight Club of Pain comes
full circle with that man coachy.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
Fun he is.
Speaker 3 (58:08):
That's why Newson Manuel. I love my lineup. I love
my lineup. It's so cool and uh so let me
do you want to make a lineup or you don't
care about this card to make a lineup?
Speaker 2 (58:20):
Nah, I'm good, I'm good this week man. Yeah you
like button, gentlemen, I agree half the battle official.
Speaker 3 (58:29):
Yes, yes, thank you, thank you for coming through and
hitting that man like follows share both bring the pain
and doctor Rodal.
Speaker 1 (58:37):
Let's get us over a thousand people.
Speaker 3 (58:39):
We're doing this. This is just something we love to do.
We're trying to mix in the football and the UFC.
You got your plays you got your stuff. If we're live,
ask questions, ask questions about the card. We want that,
we want so many of these things. But it's great
to see you come in. Half the battle official, it's great,
you know. So welcome to the fight Club of Pain.
Oh yeah, we always do some crazy stuff up in here.
Speaker 2 (59:01):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (59:01):
We love finishes. That's what we try to find. So welcome.
Speaker 3 (59:05):
And Steve, I gotta say, remember that trip. This guy's dude,
this guy is I.
Speaker 2 (59:11):
Do remember that trip Tomlins standing out standing out there
and trying to trip people.
Speaker 3 (59:19):
Oh man, love it all right, but let's get what
what do we got next week?
Speaker 2 (59:26):
We got another garbage card next week.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and check that.
Speaker 3 (59:32):
I'm gonna pull that up and I'm gonna give out
the parlay of pain.
Speaker 2 (59:40):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (59:41):
Last week you had a craft crafty bitch. You got
a little drunken dipsy wait, little wit with the known distance.
Then you got pull Yeah. This week you better shoulder
the balls because it's not I'll fit.
Speaker 2 (59:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (59:59):
First we got Carr money line negative two thirty. We're
gonna roll that Johnson knockout one negative one fifty. That
brings up the parlay of pain on a two leg
to a plus one point thirty nine. We're gonna go
the Dulgarian fight. No distance, Sorry, macho, you can kick
all you want, but I.
Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Wear a cup.
Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
No distance negative two fifteen brings a parlay of pain
up to a plus two fifty. Let's go Charles Chuck
rad Key first and second round knockout plus three twenty.
We're making it path a people plus thirteen seventy one.
Whoa Now the fifth and final leg of the parlay
(01:00:43):
of pain. Garcia Decision no bet negative one fifty.
Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
I talked about it. I want it, I want all
pieces of it.
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
Brings a parlay of pain up to a plus twenty
three fifty two.
Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
If you want to get crazy, say screw it. I
don't like you.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
Stephen Garcia, Steve Garcia, I'm taking Onama Onama. Decision no
bet is a naggett is a plus one eighteen And
if you go that for your fifth leg, you get
a plus thirty one oh seven five leg parlay round
robin that boy, we get four and one, we go
(01:01:21):
five and oh we're gonna make sure you're a rich friend.
Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Eh whoa ah? You is this? It's a pretty pretended
it was an accident. Talk dude.
Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
You see you must have been real salty about that
trip by Tomlin. I can only imagine what happened in
your mind that day, Steve Dae.
Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
That was that was like in what two thousand and nine,
two thousand and eight, cool man, get over it. It happened,
you know what happened.
Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
He had, he had, he had the defense on that
and they score the touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
And that was John Jones's brother returning the ball. Man.
Speaker 3 (01:02:03):
It was Jacoby Jacoby.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
Yeah, both his brothers passed. Both his brothers passed away.
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
All right, so we're gonna give out a rusted piece
to Kobe. He was a He was an amazing returner.
Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
Actually, my buddy Justin, who is a Ravens fan.
Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
Has a Jacoby Jones. Jersey loved him always.
Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
He was a Steeler for four games.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Yeah, yeah, he was.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
He was a Steeler for four games.
Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
I can't hate the guy, you know, I mean, who
would hate a guy? He was just a football player. Right, Oh, geez,
this guy out here.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
We're not I'm not salted. We got you last year,
You've got us for the last four years you won
the division, what three out of the last four years.
Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
Right, I thought you guys gave that up. You guys
had a classic avalanche the last few years.
Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
No, we had a Tomlin, We had a we had
a Tomlin happen.
Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
You had a Tomlin.
Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
We had a Tomlin meltdown. He does not know how
to coach anymore. He's a bum dude.
Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
Yeah, where's the guy that used to look like Tomlin
and used to always mess with, always used to like
make those those memes with him.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
We need that guy back in our life, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:03:18):
Can we can we talk about the card we have
in two weeks?
Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
Oh yeah, we can talk about that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
Go ahead, brow two weeks. That is the best card
we we have gotten in three years, hands down. That
main card.
Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
That's that's worth eighty dollars. Not the ship that happened
last last weekend. We got to know that that happened.
Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
Yeah, JDM and Makachev balancing the show, Jacob versus Wayley, Jiang,
Sean Brady and Morales, Bo Nickel, bum Ass, Bo Nickel
versus Verreira and Leon Edwards versus Protest as a mean
as a main card, dude.
Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
That fight.
Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
So the fight club at Paint will be doing all
those fights unless Dan just really doesn't want to deal
with bo Nickel problems again, I will.
Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
Who's on, dude. On the prelims, we got Ben Wass
st Deny versus Neil Darry Hush.
Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Yeah, that's insane. That match is gonna be crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Goodfield versus Cortes.
Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
You got, you got versus Rodriguez.
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Yeah, and well Maker Verse hadn't mane the whole cord
to early prelims. We got docccus and murder Shot going
at it, Angela Hill came back, Angela Hill and Cline
uh huh.
Speaker 1 (01:04:42):
And even mcconago, mcconaco versus Survey.
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Whole card is stacked top the ball, whole.
Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
Card, the whole card, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:04:53):
This is gonna be the first time, other than tape
that I've seen ISLAMIACHIKEV. Of course I've already seen Dela Medealena.
This fight is going to be crazy. This is actually
a real test for Jack for JDM.
Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
Because the real.
Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
Bought somebody this big.
Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
Yeah, and people just and and so Dan's bold statement
there is true because JDM is a dream killer. JDM
can bang and defend the takedowns. JDM can get dirty
if he needs to. JDM can get up. He did attempt.
Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
Finishes in his last fight as well too to win
that belt. He was active.
Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
And he got hands of stone.
Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
That is correct.
Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
The thing is with this, if Mitchekov can get him
on the ground and do what he does, there is
a pathway for Micheck if there is a reason why
he was the number one overall pound for pound fighter
for a long time until Taporia took that over.
Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
I'm not even I'm not even count il A Tapuria.
Islam Makatiff and Davalishi are the two best fighters in
the UFC.
Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
I will not disagree with that.
Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
I will not disagree with that at all in any way,
shape or form. And in this super fight with Schevchenko
and Whey, there's just gonna be.
Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
That fight is just gonning. It could be. It's probably
gonna just be on the match. Both those girls love
to go.
Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
They're the same size, same age, and the only difference
is Schevchenko got a three inch reach advantage. That's the
only difference.
Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
And it really is going for her her third title
in a division. This is like monumental.
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
Now he's she's moving up.
Speaker 3 (01:06:45):
Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying. She's moving up because
she already won the belt. She won two belts in
the other divisions.
Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
No, she only won one. She won the she won
the belt twice.
Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
Yeah, all right, all right, so that's what I'm thinking of. Sorry, people,
Sometimes my mind gets a little crazy. I did take
a lot of punches to the face last night.
Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
Yeah, but she's going for a second division.
Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
Yeah yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
I for some reason was because that second win with
the belt, I was thinking about that was being the division.
But I was totally wrong with that. So sorry people,
I will say I think I'm I'm I'm gonna give
you a two week preview. Michael Morales smokes, Sean Brady
smokes happens. I like Sean Brady too, But I'm telling you, man, Morales,
(01:07:34):
I put, I put. That was the one night I
put the house on. I put all my DFS winnings
that night on Morales. He want me so much money
that night.
Speaker 2 (01:07:43):
I don't see that happening.
Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:49):
But the one that's really gonna tear at me is Leon.
I mean, what do you got to say about that?
Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
What Leon Edwards in prophet No?
Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
I did you have something to say about Brady Morales?
Speaker 2 (01:07:59):
No, I can't wait for that fight. It's yeah, it's
gonna be crazy. And bow Nickel has no right to
be on the main card.
Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
Yeah, they should have flipped him with Deruche versus Satany.
Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
He should be on the He should be on the
early prelimbs, early.
Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
The early early prelimbs.
Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
Yeah, he should be. He should be a he should
be a pre show fighter. That dude is a bum.
Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
So I love Leon Edwards and I love Carlos Prats.
Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
We all know that we know I'm a fighting nerd.
Speaker 3 (01:08:35):
This is a very hard fight for me because I
love both of these guys and I think both of
them are great boxers, and I think that the fighting
nerds might take a loss on this one. I think
that fight probably goes the distance, and I think that
Leon Edwards out boxes protes. That's kind of We're gonna
do more digging into this fight, of course, when we
(01:08:57):
get to our fight club of pain for you have
see three twenty two in two weeks. But man, dude,
that fight, that's one of I know that we have
so many fights on this card that could be fight
of the night, but I think that that's a finalist that.
Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
If you go top three.
Speaker 3 (01:09:15):
I'm gonna go Leon Edwards, prote Is, Sean Brady Morales,
and I'm gonna actually.
Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
Man JDM and Marketchef. It has to be up there.
But you can't. You You've got to give it to
the to the ladies too, man that yeah, Cheko is
one of the greatest fighters of all time.
Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
Male Organ, Yeah, dude, I can't wait to fully break
that card down. Give everybody the bets, the parlays and
the parlay of pain and the DFS plays that.
Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
They deserve for that massive card.
Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
Everybody has a chance to win practically on that card.
Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
The card is completely wide open.
Speaker 3 (01:09:57):
Madison Square Garden, the history, the nostalgia to say your
prayers and take your vitamins of Hogan's, all of the blood,
sweat and tears of that building that has been this.
Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
And then did you see the card after it?
Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
Well yeah, yeah, after that, you.
Speaker 2 (01:10:20):
Get the Barsuki and Hooker, Muhammad versus Gary and Volcan
versus Alonso Meningfield as the top three fights.
Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
I mean it even you got you got Spivac fighting
in that one for you know, the heavyweights, and then
you got Albamea back like he's really trying to work
his way up, and I mean even the underground is you.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
Know, we gotta get through next week, and we got
great cards all the way through the end of the year.
Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
I will say, you did talk a little bit. I
don't mind.
Speaker 3 (01:10:53):
I'm gonna say I'm probably I'm definitely gonna take Gabriel Bronfem.
He's one of the fighters that I've been following all year.
I really like that.
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
But the rest of it under there just really doesn't
really fit me.
Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
Like Ismael Bonafim versus Chris Padilla, that's like all right,
Ricky Simon and Ronnie Barcelois. I do like Barcelos in
that kirsh Lee Louke to Leroy Duncan with Marco Tulio,
we get Hyderramill back against Jamal Emmers. There's so much
there is, some nice pieces. We'll be able to have
(01:11:26):
a lot. I think over all, the fights will be
better to pick next week than they were this week,
because none of these fights, like you.
Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
Said, really did anything for you.
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
But at least next week we have a couple more
that can do what we got.
