Speaker 1 (00:03):
Get out the insurance cards, get out the copays.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
The office is open, my friends, brought to you by
Doctor roto doctor everybody old.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
So let's get to it. What's up everybody?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Its heat over ride and I'm ready to bring the
pain for you and Doctor.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Rohdo this week?
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh yeah, what another crazy week for the fight? Come
of pain did to him? Did we took home some money?
Definitely happy. But we gotta get to this week because
I have a show for you. We're gonna be doing
our review. So you know what it is. It's the
fantastic review. Oh yeah, that's right, Halloway versus Poorier.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
What a hell of a fight that was, man, that
went great.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
So we'll talk to we'll talk about it, but let's
let's let's get to it. So, as you know, there
was a huge call made on the show Thursday. On
top of how hot the show has been recently, there
was a big, big call.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Dan made a massive call.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
So I want to be one of the many people
to congratulate him multiple times.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
I will talk about that very soon.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
So I do want to get to the fights because
I want to get the fights out of the way
because it takes the most time versu Carl Judis, the
whole card opened up a submission heaven, right, So that's
why you have knocked out and submission something we talk
about a lot to hit yourself just in case, you know,
if it's at or knockout.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Points, points, submission, et cetera, et cetera.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
So, Carly Judis one got that right there, Buno ferrier
one got that, Ryan span One got that, Jimmy krup
One got that, islam Dula tag Man got that. That's
what I'm talking about right there. That was one of
my guys. That was only that was highlighted on the
Five Tastic Picks and was talked about, but we did
(02:00):
not cover on the actual Fight Club show. That's why
when you got to the DFS picks, the all of
the bold picks that we also gave out during the
podcast parlay.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Things like that.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
That is something that you get again, you have to
take everything. It's like a recipe. You have to take
the podcast. You have to mix it with the soup
can of the Week episode. You know, got get it
with that, got it, got there out there, we're talking
about that. You know what I'm saying. You will know
what I'm saying. And it's just this one of those things.
So we get to the next one, gotier one.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Prato. I picked him, he lost that. It's okay, you
know that. You know, Nicole, he fought a good fight.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
But again, the thing is, if you still have Prato,
you still went the distance, you know what I'm saying.
So this was actually kind of nice at this point.
I'm about eight guy, I picked Marvin Vctori or no,
I picked Brandon Allen to beat Marvin Vctori. But we'll
get to Marvin ventory soon. I picked Olivera, which I
can't tell you. Kyler Phillips came out at the beginning
(03:02):
of that fight and was just he looked way better.
But I'm like, dude, you're gonna get tired. But Olivera
with his just walking up on Phillips with.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
His hands down. You never drop your hands.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
I'm a point fighter, so sometimes us point fighters, we
got our hands out here right right. But at the
same time, when you when you're in a boxing match
and some guy's literally trying to beat you down and
hurt you so he could win and win a lot
of money and get Fight of the night. Things like that,
you don't walk up on somebody, I'm not going to
change your style.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
But and another thing too, is how.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Do you throw those kicks and those haymaker maker punches
and you almost flour yourself multiple times during this match. Dude,
you don't clean that up. That's gonna get you beat
a lot. But anyway, thanks for the win.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Got it.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Then we get over here to the main events, right,
So I pick Zell Hoover. Dan picks Johnson Boom. Dan
gets the wind called the wee. We'll get to it.
Then I picked all right, well I did pick me,
and Dan both picked dann Ingay and bit Bull won.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
So then Kevin Holland was both of our picks. Daniel
Rodriguez one. That fight was actually brought up. There was
a clip from that fight as well too, where we
actually talked about if Daniel Rodriguez could keep up with Holland,
and you know what he did.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
He did, and that's.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Sometimes you come into a come into a fight the underdog,
and you you go beyond yourself and you can actually
hang with some of the best. Thanks Kevin, you know.
And then Paulo Costa, I really wanted to pick him.
I did not pick him. I picked copy Love and
Poppy Lov looked like crap.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
He didn't even know how to solve him, solve him
at all. But that's that takes me back to We'll
get to it.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
So of course the main event, we got Holloway versus Poorier,
another epic. You know, I double stacked this on DFS
because I knew that both fight. This was gonna go
to distance, and I was able to get a lot
of money from it from two guys that were worth
eighty two hundred.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
And eight thousand, So you kind of went in the middle.
That was the idea of.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
That lineup, and that's what that's what theory went with
that one. It did weigh me money, not a lot,
you know, practically tripled up. But at the same time,
scores were kind of crazy. We've rupped there, so let's
get to it. My record was nine and five. Dan
went three and two. I went one and four on
(05:27):
the main card.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Wow, I was just like the five Pastic picks. I'm
gonna bring that up.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
So I guess over the week, the last month or so,
I've been making the five Tastic picks more so, something like,
you know, an update to the world of MMA.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
While giving you all this giving.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
You both sides of the boxers or you know, both
fighters sides. You know, I'm giving you these numbers. I'm
giving you that numbers. But honestly, it was getting a lot.
So we we we're scaling it back, and we actually
added something new. We added the DFS Plays of the Week.
So you're gonna be able to get three DFS Fighters
(06:05):
Plays of the Week from me, and you will get
two two guys that is value plays, guys that were
and both my value plays hit this week. My value
plays were Vittori and Patricio Pitbull. So that's that's that's
the craziest thing because so now I'm doing that.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
So now you can just get to the article.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
You're gonna get some pretty fast bets, you're gonna get
some good talking.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
And then bam, you're out. You got your things. You
know who to play, you know who to play, and then.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
For all of that information going forward, you're going to
have to listen to the Fight Club of Pain. That
is what the Fight Club of Pain is for. It's
for us to discuss the fight theory. It's easier for
us to talk for an extra minute or two then
having to have to write for the next five to
ten minutes and then have a lot of you get
confused or might just be passing over it. So that's
(06:57):
something I wanted to bring up and get that too,
and get ready for fotball season because I need things shorter,
because I'm gonna have more articles. Heck, I got a
football article due Tuesday or Wednesday, so that now get
my my UFC rankings. You also get my WWE rankings
coming up.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
You get it.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
I should probably have a Summer Slam article one or
two coming out as well. Two Summer Slam is coming,
and that's It's just one of those crazy things. So
it's just a stunning time of the year. It's the
end of the summer and we're gonna have all these
things to do. Plus we're about to get back into
point fighting soon, so that's another thing that's gonna be
coming up.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
But that's end of August right now. Let's get to it.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Dan and me, as I talked about, talked about Daniel
Rodriguez and his ability to be able to keep up
in box with Kevin Holland and actually beat Kevin Holland.
Holland had a bad fight. He looked good at times,
but he did not do what he had to do.
But honestly, one of the greatest calls I've seen in
(07:55):
the DFS and betting history. Not only Dan wrote the
soup can of the Weak article about this man, and
then I threw at the end, we threw in some
bets that was on me, that was of course Dell Huber.
And what ended up happening is Dan was right. Dan
was right about Michael Johnson. Not only did Dan play
(08:15):
Michael Johnson on his DFS lineup, also I did as
well too.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
He was six point nine percent owned I have it
was really okay.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
So I've been doing DFS UFC for since the Super Bowl,
and I've seen a lot of the.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Ownerships are higher.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
It's almost like a slowdown shape, a slowdown showdown slate,
and so you only have a limited number of players exactly.
So this week we had fourteen fights, twenty eight fighters
to pull from.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
But what I've.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Noticed is is the percentages are usually high. Of course,
heavy favoritied fighters are around sixty fifty to sixty seventy.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
I've seen seventy, I've seen ninety, seen ninety.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
So when you're looking at that, the average four and normally,
like like for football, I'd say the average could be
twenty to thirty. You're getting contrallering around ten fifteen percent.
You're altercnturing anything under nine percent. So that's the way
I roll it with football.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
But with the fs UFC it's different. The numbers are
kind of bloated.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
So when you get like a fifteen or a twenty,
that's like a that's like a ten percent dude, nine percent,
eight percent dude for football, maybe even baseball. So when
I'm saying that, and I'm telling you that Michael Johnson
was a six point nine percent owned on most slates,
that only tells you the greatness that Dan came up
(09:43):
with this and the reason why. And this is what
I'm going to stress to you. First of all again,
grats credit is.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Due to Dan.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
You know, one week, we're usually both hot every single week.
We've had our weeks where we've practically tied. We've had
our weeks where Dan is hot. This was the week
where Dan was hot. Now DFS wise, I was hot too,
so and we're gonna get to that. But at the
same time, I say that because there's so much we
have to talk about, so much that we do, but man,
he would. Michael Johnson was the soup can of the
(10:12):
week and he was selected. He was targeted by Dan
for a reason, and he got the win. He beat
Daniel Zelhuber because of the Philly she shell, as called
on the Fight Club Up Pain. Dan said that zel
Huber hasn't encountered a Philly shell like Michael Johnson's and
(10:33):
Michael Johnson's Philly shall And I'm like, you know what,
that's crazy. You know, just send one down the pipe,
kick the legs, let's get it moving, maybe take it
to the ground. I knew zelh Hooper was gonna do
that with his significant strikes being so much.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
But at the same time, I'm sitting here and I'm.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Like, okay, well this should happen be on zel Huber's side.
So he's my highlight for my article. Well, here goes
the soup can here. He's just he's sitting there and
every time, here's the thing. So he's tucked in like this,
and Zell and his corner did not see that.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
They literally ignored it.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
They ignored it that he kept continuously throwing head kicks
and Michael was already blocking. He was sitting there with
his hands just like that and the Philly shuffle, just
doing his thing right.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
So every time.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
It was wasted energy, it was wasted. The end of
the second round and going into the third round, Zelder
was confused and his corner told him they gotta knock
him out because he just he didn't know what to
do and he knew how to beat it. And it's like,
you know, you see people beat through a Philly shell sometimes,
you know, loser get choked out someone type takedown or something.
(11:38):
But that was literally his kryptonite. He could not solve
it worth anything. And there you have one of the
biggest favorites on this card coming out. Now.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
I only played him.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
I'm on like say, like maybe two lot of on
FANDALID seven five cash DraftKings, I had had four and
two cash and two didn't. But the two that didn't
practically it had just it had people who lost. It
had people who just didn't make it, and that's just
(12:11):
what happened.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
It was.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
One of them was the I did Halloway and the
poor A lineup. So there was the one on that
on draftings I lost. Vandal I won because the pricing
was a little better because of the people that were
about to talk about. But I gotta say that is
one of the slightest moves in in DFS history.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
I've seen great moves.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
We've i mean Doc alone calling the Chisen call me,
calling Cedric Tillman multiple times last year, just doing things,
and this is this was just as epic the fact
that Michael Johnson was able to do that. Heck, if
I would have put Michael Johnson in instead of say
maybe copy love well.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Not even that, not even that I could say.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
There was just so many like maybe I wouldn't have
put him.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
In for Ryan Span because I had great lineups.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
I knew how had worked in my lineup, you know,
Michael Johnson, Now I would have to take out either
the Torri or have to take out at Bull and
I didn't want to do that. So for me, you know,
that's what makes that call even more epic. And that
he called it to the t He called it that
Zell Hubert was going to be puzzled and then it happened.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
It watched.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
That's called fight at Q people, and that is called
fight theory, and that is what some of the best
UFC podcasts and what the Fight Club of Pain use X.
Fighters are, in my opinion, always going to be able
or current fighters are always going to be able to
give you a better advice towards a finish than someone
(13:40):
who's just looking at numbers. Numbers don't finish people. Then
the finishes produce the numbers. But you have to understand
why that finished happened. You have to understand what took
place for that to happen. That is why, even though
I've watched a lot of fight tape, I'm still green
behind the ears because there's still a lot of fight deep.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
I haven't seen.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Now I'm seeing it all, and that is what we're
trying to prove. Prove we're getting provide for all of
you at the flight couple paint, Sorry about that for
stuttering up like that.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
So let's get to it.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Pit Bull was about ten percent owned. Again, what what
ten percent owned? He'd override you were talking about pit Bull?
Pit Bull was one one hundred percent on all of
my lineups, and the reason for that being is because
I knew he was going to go to the distance.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
What was even better is the.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Minute he took dan Inge down, I was like, yo,
we got the old pit pull back.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
He's wrestling.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
He's banging, he's doing what he needs to do, and
he got his first UFC one win. Ex Bellator Champion
finally gets his win in the UFC after getting served
up the Yari Rodriguez in a hard fight, especially with
Yari's explosive kicks which he used to keep pit Pool
away and pit Pool is a small dude with a
(14:59):
small all reach. But at the same time, he was
able to get the perfect opponent, Danny Gay, which we
have all talked about. This is the opponent he should
have had, and now we got it. He got the win,
he got the win.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I'm proud of him. He was eleven dollars on fandel.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
He was seventy six more than Marvin Vittori on draftings, however,
so he wasn't so much of a discount there, but
it still worked towards the other things that I got
so Vittori speaking of which eighteen percent owned. Remember when
I said that twenty five and thirty percent is about
(15:34):
the idea. I mean, like last week when I got
Mike Davis for twenty five percent, that's massive on that
I would think in should have Mike Davis, even on
the DFS Snake drafts four DraftKings, Mike Davis was the
top fighter. Practically, he was right there and nobody took
him twenty five percent right, and that dude slept it.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
He did exactly what he needed to do. So that's
why I'm saying, when.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
You get somebody like that, or you get somebody like Victoria,
you can go to the distance.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Yeah, he got fifty some.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Points and that's great, but guess what Pitbull got over
eighty and he was he was eleven dollars. He was
the second, the third last person on the slate forger Fandle.
This is why fighters know fighters better than slates or.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Sportsbooks or number pushers. We just do. We just do.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Do you think when I go in to prepare for
a fight that I think about my numbers? No, I
think about what I did to my last opponent. I
think about it if I've seen this opponent. When I
get there, I watch my opponent fight. If my opponent
does happen to fight before me, say there's three of us,
I'm able to watch the other guy and see what
he does, and see how he's moving that day, see
how he's moving that day, and then I'm able to
go in and then take him out. So that being said,
(16:52):
another thing that was crazy is Costa was around twenty
six percent.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
That means people were believing that that right there should
be a true punt. But he was there and is
zel Huber.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
This is why, going back to Michael Johnson, zel Huber
was eleven percent and Dan Eingey was sixteen percent. People
on the DFS slates avoided the pit Bull Danny Gay
fight and they avoided the Michael Johnson and Daniel Zilhoober.
I got Daniel Zelhooper for ten percent, and if he
(17:23):
does win that fight, that ten percent from a guy
that could have produced the knockout if you wouldn't have
been befuddled or confused, shows exactly why DFS UFC is
not only superior.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
To most DFS sports.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Even though you're not going to admit it, it's one
of the most fun and.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
It's also hard at the same time. But it's unique.
It's very unique.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
And what I mean bing hard is when you get
when you get the main event to your car cancel,
that's that's ups right, So at the same time, let's
pop it over. I scored my one of my highest
lineups on DraftKings was five hundred and sixty and I
saw people around like the four nineties five hundreds were
(18:10):
scoring top scores, you know whatever.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
It was around like six six hundred points.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Good, good FanDuel. My high highest lineup was a seven
hundred and thirty points. Eight hundred was the top in
some of them. But I saw on a lot of
a lot of the contests that I was in, I
was it was around six hundred or seven hundred and sixty,
seven hundred sixty six, so really just thirty six points
(18:34):
off of the big money again putting ourselves in in
the position. So that's again, this is what we teach
at Doctor Rodo. We always have the right here for
all of your fantasy needs. I say it all the
time because we're able to find those ways, those finishes,
those plays, those things, those ten percent, those seven percent
able to make the slate break the slate.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
That's what I always talk about football.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
It is fully translated to the UFC, the product that
Doctor Roto is well worth investing in.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Looking in.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
You're already part of Doctor Roto for fantasy football and DFS.
We have an amazing staff and crew for that best
in the industry. Definitely one of the best, and we're
out there trying to put out that work.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Got doc on the radio yesterday and today on Serious XM.
That's what we do. So that's the show so far.
Do stay tuned.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
We're gonna have the Fight Club at Pain is coming
back this Thursday at its normal time seven pm Eastern
Standard Tide.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
We will be doing UFC Fight Night.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Litaker versus the Ritter oh De Rittter, one of the
guys that we nailed a finish on from Ethad Arena.
Of course that's in the Yas Islands, Yoss West. So
with all that, we'll be back. And then of course
I want to say I am in the works right
now to get an interview with We want picked talk UFC,
catch up, hear their stories, see where they came from,
(19:56):
get that out there and just really bridge the gaps.
I really like the content that they do and I
really like the content with it. It's it's you could
say somewhat content can all be similar. And they know
their finishes, they know their creat they put out like five.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Six shows a week. So for me, me and Dan,
we always have that.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
That's why we always have everything directed towards that show
is so that we can give you everything in that
one show. But that's why we only do four, five
or six fights sometimes seven seven for UFC three seventeen.
That was that was nice. That was another good card.
So that's that's what we're getting to. Also, I have
an interview on the Catania Chronicles. It airs live on
(20:36):
Rocket from the iHeart Radio in Erie, Pa. That rate there,
I got literally an interview every week for the next
two weeks. I got one that I'm going to do
and I got one that I'm gonna be the person
being interviewed.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Again, this seems to be happening a lot people.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
It's because what we're doing in the industry, we're trying
to win all of you money. We're all we're trying
to get you the best theories, the best ideas, the
best you got Dan, you got me, you got all
the rest of the fight Club of Pain. Behind the staff,
they just said, we're all fighters. Got we have one
of our guys pre he's coming up on his flight.
He fights August second at the bayfront of the Brawl.
(21:15):
It's one of the Bizarro productions. And so we're gonna
go there. We're gonna cheer pre on. We gotta get
this win. So he's MMA, He's in the cage. He's
in the cage. So this is it man. It's been
some time off. He had a couple of fights, dropout,
things didn't work out. Now this is the one that
is solid.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
He's literally only he's less than two weeks away. Two
weeks away.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
So again, so much going on with the Fight Club
of Pain. Can't we can't always bring everybody on. But
what we have, what we're doing right now is great.
