In this episode of Bring the Pain, I talked about my recent trip to Buffalo, NY, to do a live draft for my Scott Fish Bowl 15 team this year. The day started out by picking up my buddy, Dave, who attended the live with me. Once we arrived, we decided to try some of the craft beers they had on draft at the Fattey Beer Company. This location was in the historical Wurlitzer building in which many other shops and breweries are attached as well. After the wait, the draft starts, and from there, the true meaning of fantasy football came out. We all laughed and made picks while some of us tried the chicken sandwich. That was definitely a thumbs up in my book, so come take a journey with me as we talk about drafts, random trips to Canada, and good Ole Craft Beers. Have a great day, everyone, and may the points be with you.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Of Pain Woya, which will also be live this Thursday,
so you gotta check that out. Also check out my
last review of that. I was pretty wild on that one.
It'll definitely get you laughing. But let's get to it.
Let's get to the Scott Fish Bowl fifteen. If you
don't know what the scott Fish Bowl is, it is
a huge charity, fantasy football charity that is where everybody
and then so much more.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
They did a WrestleMania thing, et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
They have things going on all year long, and all
they ask for a little donation.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
They take those donations they spread.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Out to tons and tons and tons of organizations, you know,
Toys for Talks to just name one, and then quite
a few other ones of course after that. Just trying
to help people out in this world and doing it
just through the fun of fantasy football.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
So that is why I'm here today.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
And to be able to be invited to a lot event,
I consider that an honor. Maybe to other people they
just think it's just always here, they do that every
year whatever what not, But not for me. I was
away for a couple of years, didn't get an invite back,
but I did get invited back last year met Scott
at the Fantasy Football Expo last year is great, dude,
So I was really happy about that. And then now

(02:34):
I'm able to represent again in the Scott Fish Bowl
and represent Doctor Rodo in Buffalo Live. As we drafted
ten rounds which we are entered into the final round. Now,
the guy just came back around on the Snake made
his first pick in the final round, which.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Was Ray Ray McLoud. Good old right, RAYO. Yeah, going
for the.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Punt return and kick returns yards, but hey, that's what
you gotta do. Sometimes somebody gets hanged up and it
comes Ray Ray McLoud and gets those touchdowns. Plus they
like to run that those fakes with him. It's just
he's a great pick. So it's nice to see that
go on. I will also bring up all of those gentlemen,
and then of course the Fatty Beer Company place that
where we're at for the event.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
That was just best. So let's bring it up. Actually,
let's talk about it.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Specialize in sorry about that is craft beers, local, both
all sorts of kind. Heck, I went to the thing
and I saw there was a THC Seltzer and I
was like, you could just drink.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Some THC up up in Buffalo, New York.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
That's just wild. But I'm just like, hey, whatever, just go,
I'll look at this beer over here. They had one
called dead Lasso. Thought that was really really cool. And
then I brought home a bunch a bunch for Dan
and I gave him to him. So the next fight
Club of Pain on Thursday, we'll have to talk about
a few of those beers because it was really good.
They had some special ones that was a special brew
for their eight years there at the Worldlitzer Building, and

(03:56):
that that's what was really cool about that whole experience.
But it was beautiful that day. I rode up with
the longest friend I've ever had, Dave. He's just always
been there, kind of like a brother for me. Definitely
seen me at my worst times, he's seen me at
my best times. And that's just the best part about
being brother and being family and not even being blood.
He is blood to me because he's just been there

(04:17):
through it all and that's the sign of a good friendship.
And to say that, man, we've known each other forty years.
I met him in first grade and that was nineteen
eighty four.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
I was like six or seven.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
I'm forty seven now and he's forty nine, and like
it's forty years. Wow, that's insane.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
So anyway, cheers Dave. Whoop ha ha. But that's just.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Crazy that you can know somebody that long and to
know that you're still friends with that person through all
the differences, and to know that you're on that same
page and that you're on that part.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
So to go up and do something like that with
him was truly in an honor. It was great.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Of course, it took a little sidetrack, got a little
yell of at but that happens.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
That happens.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
I mean, guys always getting went to Canada, well Canada
and Niagara Falls, Canada used.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
To be presumed.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
And then I saw the Niager Brewing Company, and I
felt bad if I brought more beer back because I
was about to buy more and I just already bought
a lot of beer. I came back with nine beers
from the Fatty Beer Company, Oh, which were amazing, And
I got me and Dan a couple of the same ones,
and I got me a couple a couple other offshoot ones.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
I got me this. I got him a watermelon one.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
It was called Watermelon Lagger, So that was from whatever
brew company that was up there. But that's why I said,
a lot of breweries, crafts, locals and all that kind
of put into that and that's kind of what they
support along with their own.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
It just really was a good experience.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
So I do want to give a shout out to
the Fatty Beer Company in Orlitz, theer I want to
say thanks to. I think the manager was Teresa or not,
or maybe she's the first and she had to put
up with a lot of US Fantasy football people.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
We are allowed. I was allowed right from the go.
I came straight in and I was just loud.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
I was talking talking UFC. I was already had my
first craft beer down. And then you know, like I
said on my other podcast, dude comes back out and goes, yo,
I hit.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
On that lineup, like or he told me. The next day, he.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Goes comes out Robert Live drafting, he goes, look at
this lineup.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
I look at it.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
I go, yep, I you know, looked around, moved it,
put it back. It's like, all right, dude, just keep
it that way, You're good. He went off.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
He wants some money, could have put in some more
and won a lot more money. But you know he
didn't know.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
He was drafting football that day and he meets some
crazy dude name he'd override. Oh yeah right, and then
he says, yeah, I like that lineup, and then you're
just like, well, I don't know that dude. And then
next thing you know, and you're like, well, the fight
up a bird exists. Yeah, that's why we're the UFC sheriffs, bro,
We're gonna take it over.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
So let's get back to the Scott Fishbowl and fantasy football,
because that's a whole nother sport. So the event was
held mostly up you know, of course the Fatty Brewke
Beer Company and Luigi, he practically ran the whole thing.
Had to do his own draft in one of the
other There was four divisions drafting there.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
We were one of divisions. We had to get shifted outside. Man.
I got burnt like a toast man.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
I put seven hours in into the yard the week
prior and then just going out that Saturday and getting it.
But hey whatever, I was a little protected with some SPF.
We had a good time though, end up pamming it was.
It was fun getting it together, but man not, this
is what's crazy. So even though our draft took the
longest there that day and everybody was kind of just
coming out and laughing at us, and we didn't have

(07:28):
a designated guy, and we just were all being suspenseful
and I was walking up putting my picks up, then
going back and putting the picks in.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
And everything was getting all wild.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
It was fun at the same time, you know, I
guess we held up a little bit. But like I said,
we are in the last round right now, and we're
gonna be one it. We're gonna be finishing up really cool.
So that's why I wanted to do a little review
on that and everything going on. And it was a
great event to network meet everybody. See what you got.
You know, I got this really cool shirt, So thanks
again it thanks to Scott fish Bowl and Fantasy Cares

(07:59):
for being able to put that together and allow me
to get go to Buffalo and compete and get a.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Really cool shirt. Because I don't always get this.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
I always see people wear them because they go to
the lives and then I just show up to the
Fantasy Football ex Bowl thrown by Bob Lung, and I'm
just like, yo.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
What's that, Bob? How you doing?

Speaker 4 (08:15):
He's again everybody's got a shirt on him, Like, ah, well,
maybe I'll wear this year, maybe I won't. Maybe I'll
have a fight club a paint shirt this year. That's
the that's the real goal, because I know me and
Dan was in it. But that being said, you know,
just give me the chance to.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Talk to everybody and learn their different styles. And that's
what I do. I bring people out of shell.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
So there's probably some people are like, yeah, that guy's
cocky head over ritees cocky, but I'm still gonna shot
you out even if you weren't in our division.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Well, I'm only gonna shout out our division.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
The other people are than Luigi, who threw it together
and put that on that entire great event, had everything
laid out on a table.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
There was a bunch of sponsored donated things for the raffle.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
All that raffle on proceeds goes towards right them off right,
you could write it off is so cool. I'm just
I'm just excited to be part of it all and
just to finally get back to more football. I got
a lot more articles coming out, and also it's coming
towards summer Slams, so you're gonna have to check out
my WWE content and my power rankings and my UFC

(09:12):
rankings on the only Doctor Roto and Doctor rhdo MSN
side of things.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Just have a really good link. Get you, get you.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
Jacked up, man, because UFC three to eighteen is coming, like,
we're about to have some really great fights coming up.
So let's get it done. Let's let's talk, let's win
and just get over there. But let's get to it.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
So that being said, all that getting together, let's shout out.
Let's shout out to people right now.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
So I want to say shout out to Chris Gregory,
and we got Curtis, Nick, Mike of course myself, Eat
over all a little bit on the bit.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's the way I am.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Colin, Eric Jason, Jim Jason, and Andy, thank you for
putting up with me having fun and just being and
going along with the flow, like just trying to break
out of our showves again going.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Back to the networking talking how we can all just
talk fantasy football, because that's how we got all this together.
I got to spend this time with one of my
oldest friends of all time, Dave, and I get to
go to the Fantasy Football Expo with Dan, and these
are fun times. And Dan is so excited because last
year he didn't even know any of the legal Now
that he's been doing the UFC and doing some lineups

(10:23):
on DraftKings, he understands the pricing and the under kind.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Of understands the business a little more.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
And then, of course he jumped in for a team
that was lacking and starting their players and drafting. So
Dan jumped in and practically took over the team, completely
molded it his way and practiced and finished. I think
he almost made the playoffs with the worst team literally,
So that says a lot. That's what fantasy football, fantasy
sports in general does. The networking and talking that I've

(10:50):
been able to watch and talk to through the UFC
as well, the UFC crowd that has been amazing, reached
out to a lot of people. You know, some people
don't reach back just because they're busy. They got their
our own things going on, and that's respectable. I totally
understand that. So maybe you interview one day with some
of these people and maybe interview not but that's okay.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
I don't need that.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
We got a lot of football coming up, a lot
of podcasting coming up, and a lot of fights coming up,
and that's how we do it. Definitely, you want to
get to the Fight Club of Pain on Thursday, seven pm, roundish, Nashville,
Lewis versus to Shiah. We're gonna have We're gonna be
covering four fights for that four fights, so again, doctor
roto rankings, all of the predictions, all of the articles

(11:29):
that I can't stress enough that our draft guide is out.
And in the subsequent discord I had somebody go, hey,
he'd override. Why does nobody in the IDP world look
at drafts like this? Why don't we ever get as
much draft or when to draft defensive players like that?
And I go, look, I talk about it all the
time on my podcast, and that's what I am. I'm
the IDP hero, I'm the oudyp here for a reason.

(11:49):
But of course you have to remember that when you
read my articles and you have more questions, you either
have to go to the subsque with discord like my
boy Prime Time does, and.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
He does a lot. He does so good he challenges.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
He has challenged me so many times over the years
and able to finding and just giving him my numbers
and putting him together and just seeing the outcome that
he's been able to produce over the years in his
IDP leagues has just been great.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
And that's one of many people that do that.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
You know, last last year I think it was Bena
popped in and didn't even know we had a whole
IDP section in the discord, let alone the discord and
that's where all the show goes, the sub only discord
show on Sunday with Doctor Roto. That's there that he
gets off live on Serious XM. You just have to
get to Doctor Rohto. We really want you to be
our rich friend.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I have a great day. Everybody, get over to Scott
fish Bowl over the Fantasy Cares.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Donate today, make a difference in somebody's life.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Didn't always remember to bring the donation.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
Woo.

Yeah, I have a great day. Who thanks for stopping
