In this episode of Bring the Pain, I reviewed UFC Shanghai, which featured Walker vs. Zhang in the main event. I talked about the Fight Club of Pain and how we nailed more big bets and parlays this week in which we slayed the sportsbooks while sleeping. After that, I talked about the break this week before coming back on Thursday for UFC Paris, which has Imavov vs. Borrahlo, as the main event. That also will be the opening game for the NFL, so expect a Showdown Slate lineup for Thursday night football every single week. That's how we do it at Dr. Roto. Have a great day, everyone, and may the fights be with you.

Thank you for the support and contributions all of you make for my podcasts and articles each week. Y'all the real #Painbringers!

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Get out the insurance cards, get out the copays. The
office is open, my friends, brought to you by doctor
Rodo dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yo, everybody, it's your rider. So let's get to it.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
What's up everybody at titover Rod and I'm ready to
bring the pain for you and Doctor Rhodo this week.
Oh yeah, man, that was a crazy, crazy UFC fight
night in Shanghai, Walker versus Zang.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
But let's get to it.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
Let's bring the pain on another etastic review. Yeah, if
you haven't been over to the site, get to Doctor
Rodo right now.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
We have updated rankings coming soon.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
We have the rankings, We have all of the IDP
articles that you need to make sure that you are
winning in your IDP league. Also the great UFC coverage.
We have a ton of football stuff going on. We
still have a ton of great stuff in the MLB,
the MLB betting stuff. I had two of four parlays
hit yesterday, had a couple of hits in those side

(01:12):
those other parlays. So again it's been pretty consistent where
the MLB, the thetastic bets of the day has been
working the last few weeks along in conjunction with the
Fight Club of Pain, and of course the Soup Cana
the Week and the five Tastic Picks article you gotta
get there. That's just things that I've got my hands

(01:32):
to that doesn't include everything everybody else does.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
And there's like twenty some of us people.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
There's so many articles hitting the site every single day
and then coming up if you haven't checked, if you
did not check out my pre draft the NFL Draft
podcast where me Ed and Dan sat down and talked
about the draft, I gave out some of my future
NFL picks at that time. I'm actually going to be
doing a whole futures article for the NFL season that

(02:00):
will be coming out later this week, so you want
to check that out of course, as well as my
UFC and my WW rankings. Of course, with the big
up set last week or whatever you may call it,
I mean, everybody knew Hamaza Chimif was gonna win, so
now that we got him on there, he's in.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
The fifth overall spot.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Again, this is things that are free on doctor Roto,
along with other stuff behind the paywall. Use code word
win and you could be like follow us and share.
Now that I got that out the way, I just
wanted to get that. I mean, why not, why not?
You know where to find this, you know how to
get a hold of us. But let's get to it.
Another great week for the fight Cub of Pain. I'll

(02:38):
say my week, my picks did pretty good as well too.
I did pick Nerdose, who was working out well until
he was finished. You'on just got him, and that's just
what happens. It's a fighting game. A started off the
card with an X that kind of sucked.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
But I did pick Sue Young You, so that was
a huge big for me.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
I'll talk about him for the DFS portion as well too,
because I also do the I like to review the
DFS ownership lineups to tell everybody to show you the
comparisons of the ownership in the UFC DFS slates as
opposed to the NFL, MLB, etcetera. By the way, I
already cash today on MBE slate. I stacked Kansas City

(03:21):
and they scored over ten runs. I also had, you know,
my picture was one percent owned. All of the Kids
City guys were all way the super owned, and then
I had like a two thousand dollars dollars guy.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
It was crazy. I was like, oh, crap.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Everybody was under like six percent owned, so I was
able to more than double up bring a little cash back,
so we're gonna throw throw it back on betting wise,
it was great DFS wise. It's just like right now
because of all the great coverage at the Fight Club
of Pain and other podcasters like We Want Picks, et
cetera going on, that is that is helping a lot

(04:01):
of people win, and with people using a lot of tools,
it also helps them win as well too. So recently
the DFS slates, the GPP slates for the UFC have
been easy to score in, but also have you've been
up against some lineup trains. So with that being said, again,
you just got a shit, You just got a bob

(04:21):
and weave. So right now, that's what makes DK DraftKings
that is so attractive. With their UFC draft, it's only
between you and two other people. Again, I bring it
up all the time, so you're just putting up your
money and you only.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Got to beat two other people. Winner takes all.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Hey, that's the way it's gotta be if you're gonna
make money, right, that was a big part of my money.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I was able to return.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
A dollar one a five dollars one and that practically
paid for and then of course with my betting, that
just worked that well as well too.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
So that's that's what I want to.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Say, is that what's going on in the Fight Cup
of Pain is that we're trying to give you the
best ways to win.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
And in the subs only discord, I.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Am posting all of my DFS lineups and my bets everything.
Everything I posted in there smashed this week, and we'll
get to that, but let's move.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Along with the card. So young you just looked great.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
I I just he took some shots from long but
the fact that he was able to hold on get
that win was just perfect for me. Again, he was
he was one of my huge pieces in my DFS
lineups because he was only around eighty three hundred.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
So that was nice.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
So yeza yisa, awesome for DFS. Love that I did
pick So I got all those wins, I'm back on track.
I took Perrierra. Of course we know how that went down.
Kyle Doskas just took him out really fast. I mean,
come on, like he wasn't knocked out, but he got floored.
He got floording. You know that they're gonna protect you,
your little older buddy. I mean, so is dude Doscas.

(05:55):
But it was crazy because Dan was like, yo, I
think Kyle Dowskas is gonna do that.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
He put him in his DFS lineup. Shows you what
you do do right, You know.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
It was crazy, and again it's just one of those
things run wrong Zoo. I had a lot of wrong zoo,
but I should have had more. He did really well.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
And so I got my win. I did pick Kavanaugh.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Kavanaugh was blasting away on Charles Johnson, but it was
a rate. At the end of that second round, it
seemed like you could see Kavanaugh kind of may have
been spent. Maybe he should have locked it up, locked
Johnson up, tried to take him down.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I mean he was rag dolling him. Kavanaugh was ragdalling him,
he was picking.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Him up, he was slamming him constantly, and then he
was out boxing him for a moment and then it
was like, right at that end, when I was watching,
I could just see Charles Johnson turning and I was like,
oh boy, this this round has to end, This round
has to.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
End, and it just didn't end.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
It didn't end, and that is how he got knocked out,
so I missed on that one. I did pick Cage
Young Gay John was a nice win. I enty you
like got him too. I picked Sumadarjie that was big.
But I did use Borhas everywhere in my DFS. You
wake the whole time and you couldn't put up more
points than you did.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
I really thought Borhaws would have been better than that.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
I mean, he got control time, it just wasn't credited
enough on the df S lights that make him viable.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
It happens, it happens, that's what is.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
So of course Pavolovich won and then al Jamaine one,
so Aljamine Sterling that is. So we got those wins. Wins, wins,
we get up. Of course, you know I was huge
on Zang Minyang.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
And Walker watched them. So that's the fun part.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
So this week on the Fight Club of Pain, both
me and Dan were practically alike on it. So both
we went eight or two and one each. I went
eight and four on the card overall, myself back to
back eight to four weeks, sixteen and eight overall for
the past two weeks.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Not bad, not bad. But the thing is, is this
guy where it was last week?

Speaker 3 (07:58):
It was more so that I did decent on dfs,
returned to my fifty to fifties and then.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Hit some of the bets.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
But because I was, I was awake or whatnot for
these bets I had, I.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Did just a little better. This week, however, went a
little differently. Now.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Last week I did hit the Parlay of Pain three
out of the five hit and we've been talking about
round robin ing that, and when you round robin the
Parlay of Pain, it gives you many opportunities to win.
That was on display this week when we went into
the last of the leg of the Parlay of Pain,
which was the fifth leg that contained Zang. If I
would have just played the knockout, I played Zang one

(08:38):
and two well, first and second round knockout. It was
a negative two hundred and the way Walker runs out
right from the go and Zang mounts them.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I'm like, perfect size is done. It's over with mount them.
He's gonna win. I turn around, I go get a drink,
and bam, they're back up on their feet. Come on, man.
He did finish them, and he was getting them.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
He was getting them, and it was like in them
more powerful shots on Walker and then just like Calvanaugh,
he gets caught floored.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
And the thing is what led up to that was
the Lake kicks.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
This is why sometimes it doesn't take a knockout, it's
only a body part. Walker kicked and for the first
time in a long time, Johnny Walker was smart. Yes,
Johnny Walker was smart. He immediately noticed that Zang was
having extreme difficulty of putting any weight on that foot.

(09:34):
After the first chin kick, he kicked him in it again.
Zang almost went down. He kicked him the third time.
Zang was down. Now it looked like Zang was going
to get up. What I think it wasn't more about
Walker keeping him down. I think Zang's leg was severely
hurt and that he could not walk on it. This
happens to a whole lot of US fighters, especially us

(09:55):
in point fighting. We clash our shins a lot. Of course,
over time they do become senseless. But that means Zang's
weren't senseless, and that means the kick delivered by Johnny
Walker was just that good.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
It was perfect. He hit him three times with it,
florid him, finished it and got the knockout.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Now, this is something I will say we called that
on the Fight Club of Pain. I had the Johnny
Walker first and second round knockout, also the round one knockout,
because I.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Didn't really think it was gonna go past the round one.
But what I did to hedge that was I FanDuel
recently added a couple of things.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Maybe I just found him was the second round starting
which was a plus one thirty six, so I easily
went in hedge that covered all of that, and Min
Yang zing still he still got his significant strikes of
twenty which was a negative three twenty, so he still
actually hit his goals on that, and of course we

(10:56):
did the decision no bet for him.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
That worked out.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
We did have him winning knockouts, We did have him
with the knockouts. Of course, knockout and sub was all negatives.
But what really did it was we weren't gonna win
that much money. When Walker hit that first and second
round knockout of plus seven hundred, he more than paid
for everything that we put money on for Zang Min yang.
So again that's how we covered it. But what really
was it was Charles Johnson. Charles Johnson, It's all over

(11:24):
the internet right now. Go to my ex go to
my Facebook Charles Johnson. I had that as a knockout
as plus three twenty Cavin on Charles Johnson. That is
also I thought that there was a chance that because
Johnson's height and strength may give him an advantage late,
and it's exactly what happened. Me and me and Dan

(11:46):
talked about it for a few seconds. I actually thought
that Charles Johnson was going to be Dan soup Kenna
of the week, which, by the way, the soup canad
of the week.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
If you would have been it and headed over to
doctor Rono was it was, Oh oh damn, I remember
it was Brian Ortega.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Brian Ortega. He focused it. He focused on Brian Ortega,
but of course he ultimately picked al Jamaine Sterling. He
picked the fight to go the distance, where I was
a little more on the under. But of course we
did have the money line and distance at a negative
one oh five, so that again, that was a really
really nice thing to have the decision.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
No bet money came back to us.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
We didn't bet that bet too much, but that is
what we bet. And I will tell you what Ortega
did get a couple of times he did he did
rock sterly, so we did have that knockout bet On Ortega,
but we didn't have anything much.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
So we've been trying.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
To calm him down on what's going over here and
giving you the direct path of victory for that fighter.
And then if there's any questions that come in on
the Fight Club of Paint, we will answer those.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
But that that's what happened plus eighteen hundred.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Every single week I talk about this, and every single
week Dan and I deliver. So every every single week
I'm going to talk about what we do because what
we do is good.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Now let's get the DK. DK was really good. I
was able to return.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
A lot on my DK drafts, which again I told
you I love those things. Definitely play at least four
or five of those. That'll cover what happens on the
main slate.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Main slate was Zang.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
I was one hundred percent exposed to Zang, so that
destroyed a lot of and he'd take got points, but
he destroyed a lot of my lineups. Sterling, of course,
was in one hundred percent of my lineups. So let's
get through the percentages. Zang was about fifty eight percent owned,
and they Johnson thirteen percent owned. We had Johnson, I
recommended Johnson in for DFS.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
For a big, big part. He was a cheap thing.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Of course, I also did Waldo Cortes a costa. He survived,
so I mean he got points. So it worked out.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
So you was only twenty percent owned.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
That is that was crazy. I mean, Sue Young Yu
twenty percent on the main slate GPP awesome. I aught
Yeza was around thirty five percent. That's solid. That's your average. Now,
this is what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Wrongs. You was fourteen percent wrong. You and Johnson would
have been the slate breakers. That's insane.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
And of course everybody else that won Sterling seventy five percent.
Like I said, So when you take all that together,
you're seeing where we're going. We got the we had
the direct path. It only led to cashing up fifty
to fifty. But with Zang going down the way he did,
it only put me out around three hundred and ninety
one on fandle, so you had again be a fifty

(14:44):
to fifty.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
I'm very very.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
I'm not happy about it. Honestly, I'm not happy about it.
With my d fast lineups, they've been doing good, they've
been doing it, but I think I need to play
more fifty to fifties rather than going in with the GPPs,
because they really don't, especially on FANDLE, they don't give
you a lot of options.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
At least on Draftings.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
You have that one hundred and twenty or one hundred
and fifty thousand dollars contest and the three dollar mark.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
That's nice.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
I mean, the rake on that is a little bit different.
It's a little low, but you can do it. But
Vanduel is really getting us on these rakes. The rakes
are really bad, and you're throwing down a lot of money,
the three dollars, the eight dollars lives and I know
it seems like the fifteen dollars lineup.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
You're throwing down that money and your.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Chances are really slim to returning even half of it.
And the fifty to fifties on FANDLE are also a problem.
They're not really that filling. You get a couple because
they don't really FANDLE doesn't focus on the ufc DFS
side as much as Draftings does. And that's fine, that's okay.
We're still gonna play on FANDLE. That's that's what we do.
But the thing is is if you're going head to

(15:45):
head with just so many people in the uft UFC things,
and you're not getting a lot of fifty fifties.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Your chances of returning on fandel are gonna be slim.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Even if you do hit the fifty to fifty level,
you have to find enough fifty fifties to actually cover
what you're doing. And it's it's it's working out, but
it's hit or missed sometimes and so that's it. And
then of course you know them having the captain spot
as their main slight thing. So on DraftKings, however, though
DraftKings is having a little better, I am finding a

(16:16):
lot better success with DraftKings on the GPPs and also
the fifty to fifties they're a little easier to score on.
They don't do the captain spot, and I think that
was the difference in picking the captain and putting Zang
in the captain spot, whereas two weeks ago I put Prote's,
I switched them all up. The Protse lineup was really nice.
So that's what I'm talking about when you're in line

(16:37):
up construction. That's something that we always teach at Doctor Rhodo.
We'll want you to all be our rich friend and
in line of constructure really means I think that's what
is the difference is with me is I didn't have
to know a lot about UFC like I know now.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
I know a lot and I still have to learn
a lot more. This is my.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Rookie season, people, But at the same time was able
to take my lineup construction to what I could do
with that, use it on the WNBA, use it on
the UFC, and being able to make a lot, you know,
pull back some of the millionaire tickets that I was
able to get the qualifiers. So again, this is what
we're doing. This is what we're preaching at Doctor Rodo.
That's what we're just trying.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
To do when you money.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
So for that being said, when we get to it,
you look at the overall process, You look at the
plus eighteen hundred, You look at the plus three twenty
that came from that fight Johnson versus Kavanaugh knockout bonus.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
We had that and we talked about it briefly.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
It wasn't a fight that we covered, but it was
something that we talked about. That is why, and that
wasn't on the website at Doctor Rohdo.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
You have to listen to the Fight Club of Pain.
I promise you. Going forward, we do have a week
off of the Fight Club of Pain.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
I don't know if me and Dan we'll get together
with a quick episode or not. But on the NFL
opener the Fight Club of Pain, we'll be returning for
UFC Fight Night.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
In Paris, which is focusing I'm Evolved and my.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Boy, my fighting nerd, my fighting guy, Carl Brallo.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Whoo yeah, I can't wait, yo.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
And then you get you get note Ja, after that
you get Lopez vs.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Silva. It has literally been a fighting nerd month for me. Woo.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Where's my glasses? Where's my glasses?

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Woo?

Speaker 2 (18:25):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
I'm so excited about this because I get to see
my fight a fighter from my favorite team come up.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
But we get that week off.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
So on the so on the Fight Club of Pain,
I will during the DFS portion, we'll be giving out a.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Showdown slate lineup for that week's Thursday night game. Every
single Thursday night that we do the Fight Club of Pain.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Of course, you're gonna have Doc, Willie and Swammy live
on Fridays. So if me and Dan have to move
to a Friday for traveling reasons or something like that.
We're gonna go on before them seven o'clock, seven pm
Standard time. It is our time that we always go
live most of the time, so we were literally this week.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
It was really fun. So we're gonna get you that
NFL clip. We're not gonna I'll talk it a little
about the game a little bit. Of course, if it's
a Steeler game, Dan will be.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Jacked up, probably stealer it out, but it's gonna be
NFL on UFC again. One of the most unique things
about Doctor Rodo the Fight Club of Pain under the
Bring the Pain Tree is this is what I'm trying
to create for all of you. Of course, our new
my new branch is going to be called Through the
turn Buckles. I did call it the turn Buckles of

(19:35):
Pain last week kind of went over a different names.
Thought Through the turn Buckles would be really nice. It's
four topics for wrestling topics. Right now, we have NXT
has a pay per view on We have a big
big match between you know, with Obafemi in it and
Trick Williams.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
And I'm slipping the other guy. I just literally watched
him get tossed off the top rope by Trick. But
I'm talking UFC right now, So we're gonna have that.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Review tonight as part of Through the term Buckle Again.
That is an audio based raw edit of me and
Chrissy Ray. So that's going to be coming out also
on Bring the Pain as well too. So going forward
with the NFL season, the WWE season, the UFC season,
and everything going that, it's going to be an exciting
year at Doctor Rodo, and I wish that all of

(20:22):
you come along and join us on this journey because
I promise you you will learn how to.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Put the path to the competition.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Ooh yeah, whoo, all right, follow like shareff Bring the
Payment on Facebook.

Speaker 2 (20:40):

his Facebook over one thousand followers.

Speaker 2 (20:55):

Speaker 3 (20:56):
This is where the real stuff is going on. This
is where the one second forty seconds skits where we
literally gave out the Charles Johnson. So if you don't
catch it, then I can't help you. You gotta catch
you gotta tune in and use code word winds. Get it, bam,
let's go. Have a great day, buddy, and always remember
