In this episode of Bring the Pain, Feugo Steve and I kickoff off the NFL season together on our very first Ultra Contrarian Show. Just like last year, I'm going to be giving out a full cash game lineup while Steve fuels the show with his GPP plays. Steve also brings his Fuego Play of the Week to the show so that all of you can be our rich friends. So if everybody's not used to the show or didn't
know about the show from last year, every year for
the last few years, I've done the Ultra controlleran show.
I focus on giving out a lineup, a lower on
percentage lineup. A lot of my lineups have fifteen ten percent,
three percent dudes in it. I put him into a
cash game. We win some money all season long. Last
(01:33):
last year went nineteen and six on both FanDuel and DraftKings,
that includes Week one all the way to the Showdown
Slate Super Bowl. It is so much fun saying it
with my chest because look, I'm not hiding anything.

That's right exactly, And the dog just came into the room,
so a but that is right, and we're gonna kill
it this year at Tocsuroto.

some cash game plays and I'm gonna be telling people
how to how to win those GPPs and get up
those tournaments.

Yeah, So the new format, of course, the old format
would be me shooting in, going through my lineup and
then giving out the full lineups both at the end.

And I will do that. I will do the Fandul
DraftKings at the end. So we're gonna go through it.

When we talk about some players, Steve will talk about
a few things. But then Steve has one Fuego pick
of the week and then also he'll have his core four.

so maybe it's a revenge game at the Bills. I
don't know, but uh yeah, I was telling you earlier,

are not on this slate because I'd be homering it up.
Uh So, but I'm I'm very excited for this season

and we're gonna kill it there at Doctor Roto.

I was in Batavia doing a seminar and then we
just fought after the end, so you know, I was
out there getting my licks in.

But you know, this has been what's been going on
since Thursday.

Thursday started off just straight fire, and then Friday, you know,
on the Fight Club of Pain, I gave out lineups
and some bets that all hit on Thursday. Then Yesterday Friday,
even while I was away, I was able to secure
some extra cash. That same cash I put back in
for today and DFS wise, especially on DraftKings.

This is the first time I got spanked.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
I got spanked on DraftKings for UFC dfs, but on
fandl DFS, I didn't play a lot.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
It was the bets. The bets just kept hitting.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
I mean, if I know, you might have haven't seen it,
but when you go to the UFC betting page, you're
gonna see a lot of the plus seven hundreds and everything.
And I haven't even posted my plus eleven hundred yet.
It's just been crazy the way that I've been able
to take that product, and that product stems from this show.
It's the same format that I've been using, except of course,

people are fighting instead of trying to score touchdowns.

Right, that's right, that's right.

Well, I mean they're fighting to score touchdowns in the NFL,
that's for sure.

want to score us touchdowns because we want everybody to
be our rich friends.

Right, that's right, And that's why, that's why, that's why
today we're gonna tell people, you know, you want to
play it safe or relatively safe, go for your fifty
to fifty your cash games.

You're gonna give him advice on that. And I'm gonna say, hey, you.

Want to try to take down a tournament, take down
a qualifier. I got a few plays that hopefully will
be low owned that might be able to get you
over the top.

Well, like I always said the way I started out,
I go down to work.

I'm going to bring up I'm gonna talk about Kyler Murray.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
He is one of the best quarterbacks on this slate
in my opinion, even though he's on the road. The
New Orleans Saints are in shambles. They are a former shell.
I don't even know if they're a former shell. It
reminds me of maybe a shell that's already broken and
then right when you put your finger through the crack,
it completely implodes. Imploding is gonna be Kamara either getting

traded or off the team. I see the arrows on
a Cardinals stomping the New Orleans Saints, and that's gonna
start with the legs in the arm of Kyler Murray.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Do you agree with that.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
I do agree with that.

You know, I usually try to only do a couple
of lineups, especially in the beginning of the year or
even you know, I'm like a single entry kind of guy,
a single atry.

I like to stick with one entry played in.

Every everything, and so, but I do have two particular
lineups I'm working with this week, and he is definitely
in the other one, not the one I'm going to recommend.
I think him and we're gonna get to one of
the guys that we're going to talk about, and I
think they're gonna win. I think you can play Kamara
in this game, because I agree, you know, yeah, he

definitely can play him. But I do agree that the
Cardinals are gonna win, Yes, yep.

So we'll get out the prices.

DraftKings has Kyler Murray at sixty four hundred and on
fandle he's a little pricey at seventy seven. I still
like if that's sixty four hundred, though, was really nice
because there's a lot of quarterbacks around the five thousand,
eight hundred range, and then you're starting to get into
where like, Okay, I gotta go this guy or that guy,
or do I just pay down for Derek may I mean,

you know, like what are we doing at this point?
So for me with this build, I stuck in Kyler
Murray at the quarterback position. I'm definitely I don't think
that we're gonna get about twenty percent. That's my prediction
for Kyler Murray. Is there a quarterback you would like
to talk about right now?

So in my.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
GPP lineup, if it's your first time listening, Grandpa Character
Prize Bowl tournament play, I'd like to play tournaments.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
I really like Baker Mayfield.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
I think he's got a great matchup against Atlanta, and
we're gonna talk about his receivers. But I'll just tell
you right now, Mike Evans, Mike Evans. They should be
on fire this weekend down in Atlanta. And I really
like Baker Mayfield in tournaments. And you know, around that
price range. You know, I'm not saying he's gonna be
low owned or anything. But you got Burrow, who's a

little more expensive people might play. You got Jayden Daniels
at the top, and then you got Golf Murray. You know,
I like Murray too. I like Nick too, you know,
if you want to save a couple bucks there, But
I'm going with Mayfield.

And what's really great about this is it backs up
in gate In week five. Last week, Mayfield on DK
put up a twenty three point four. In week eight
he put up a twenty seven point three. I'm looking
for a twenty plus.

On that. He is sixty six right now.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
He was sixty seven and sixty six respectively in eight
and five weeks, so he was at this price when
he scored those points. That's terrific value. I love what
you got going on there. Let's move on to the
next go on, No good, go ahead, No, we're gonna
say about I would.

Say say, I believe our guy Chris Kennedy over at
Doctor Rode who, as Mayfield, has his sixth ranked quarterback.

That's that's the best part in the rankings at Doctor Roto,
the way he updates them.

Chris Kennedy doing this on the staff at Doctor Roto
with everybody else going on. Justin Jaska also doing a
lot of his rankings as well too. That's what it's about, man,
that it's all about the teamwork, and when that's what
we get at Doctor Rodo and then the subs only
discord just crazy.

I love Kenneth Walker at fifty nine DraftKings and at
sixty seven hundred on FANDLE. I don't know how you
don't have him in a one hundred percent of your lineups.
I could easily see Kenneth Walker this being one of
those Walker three games where he gets three touchdowns to
slap the hell out of the forty nine ers.

So that's my take.

Kenneth Walker also one of the best running back running
games in the NFL this year.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Charbonnay will be able to get a little work, but.

Not unless he gets Unless Walker gets hurt, I easily
could see the flour for Walker is eighty.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
And one touchdown if you want to play that as
a bet. Do you like that?

I love Walker this week? As of right now, he
is in my tournament lineup. I almost made him the
Fuego pick, but I did not. I'm still and I'll
talk a little bit about him a little bit more.
But yeah, it's a great play. And let's you know,
he's not in my core four, but he should be.

But my core I really like my core four, but
I love him this week for both cash and GPPs
at fifty nine hundred. You know, I'm playing mostly draftings
this week, but I mean, how do you not play?

Yeah, yeah, it's it's it's literally it's like almost a
free square right there.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
And then that's that.

You know, there's this so on MFL we do this
DraftKings kind of like weekly thing with Doctor Roto and
a bunch of the other guys, and on that he's
he's literally the lineup I really wanted to get in
is on that lineup, is on that that site. So
I can't wait till it starts tomorrow, because they're gonna
be like, Yo, how did he'd override get these people
(11:21):
in the Only thing I didn't do and I should
have did, was move off of a particular receiver. And
I should have had Hollywood Brown in there, because he
was the same price at forty eight hundred, so I
had there was four or five and Keenan Allen was
also a forty eight hundred receiver on that site. Because
it does the full from Thursday to Monday night, it's
the full DFS weekly sleep.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Yeah, and people need to keep in mind and when
we're talking this week, things things adjust. So we're gonna
talk about we've already started to and we're gonna talk
about players that they are undervalued, usually under.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Factory in beginning of the season.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Sometimes sometimes overvalued as well, but it's usually they come
because all of us are trying to get Also, keep
in mind the first couple of weeks later what I
call the get you two weeks, we see who's playing,
who's who's you know, who's who's.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
His starting who? Who does the quarterback like, does he
like this rookie? Does he like? Oh?
Speaker 2 (12:11):
All of a sudden, there's a trade. Does he connect well?
So you really you know, it's a good time to
make money. But the best thing is we're gonna give
you advice so you can beat all these casual fans
that come in and play football. But I like that
play as far as my running back. If you were Dune, sir,
that was all right as part of my core four
with Mayfield. I'm going to run it back on the

other side with Robinson. I mean he's yes, I mean
he is. I think Chris Kennedy's got him the number two.
He is gonna no matter how the game turns out,
which I think should be a high scoring affair, he
is going to be involved.

I mean, if you look at it carries Les last year,
you know, twenty eight.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Seventy, twenty twenty six, when you see all those twenties,
you know, running back go for it and he he.

Is the highest price.

I do not mind paying for it, specially playing on
him on the other side of Mayfield. If you're playing,
you know, if you can find him a way to
get him in, go for it. He's definitely in my
core four this week.

I love it. I love the play.

And here's the thing is, people don't always pay up.
They may be scared, like people are gonna be trying,
but they they're gonna probably go to Gibbs. And when
they go to Gibbs, that's gonna Leaven. That's gonna leave
like Jonathan Taylor wide open. That's gonna leave Jean Robinson
wide open. So I think that that's where a lot
of these plays are gonna you know, bounce in. And
(13:30):
that's the part with you know, the differences between a
cash game and a GJPP lineup, is that a cash game,
you definitely want to get the price. You want to
get the best averages and try to get in there.
Jean Robinson is an amazing average, like you said, over
twenty carries each year. You know, in game the first
time they played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he had just
over ten points.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
In the second game he had twenty three.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
So we're gonna need this game is gonna be a
track meet both these defenses.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Eh shaky.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Tampa Bay didn't do anything to repair it their defense
and they lost to the rams poona Ford.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
So now that they have the middles wide open, and
I think it's already.

Said that that what as Vida Vey might be missing
the game.

That just means that Beje Robinson's gonna just slam choke

He's usually avolved in the passing game as well. I
mean five targets, two targe series. I think look at
this one, two three rovers. I can't even see it.
I can't even see a game he didn't have more
than a couple of catches. So you know, average eighty
five yards a game twenty one, Fantasy Game twenty one,
and he's only eight thousand. He's one of the guys
who I believe, depending on how it goes, is going
to start going up. So yes, you know, I mean,

we're talking about possibly the best running back in the
league right.

Now, exactly, you know.

So in GVPS, I'm going for it.

Look, and that's that's the that's what I'll do that.
I will put him in a cash game lineup. I
will put him in the GPP lineup. But that's where
that's where it's gonna go with the GPPs, because like
I said, I think, and don't quote me on it,
but I I bet we can nail this in a GPP.
I could see Bijon around twenty.

Yeah, exactly, and you know everyone keep in mind.

So I'm a big believer in single entry uh, three entry,
five max uh putting the same lineup in and you
know what, but for the big, the big, big tournaments,
which you know everyone keep in mind, you're not gonna
win those big tournaments.

Elect to max center. You gotta put one hundred and fifty.
Let's let's be let's be real.

But if you add her, you know, the single entry
uh and all that stuff, and I find that that's
where you can definitely get advantage too against Yes, all
the you know pro players let's call him whatever you
want to call them. You know that are are are
you can get advantaged by playing because they can only
put one entry. So we're gonna we're giving you us
how to how to do.

Taylor, Jonathan Taylor love. Yeah, so Jonathan Taylor. He is
sixty eight hundred on DraftKings. That is an almost criminal price.
People are just gonna be going to the top zoom
and passed Jonathan Taylor at sixty eight hundred on Draft Kings,
and then they're gonna go down to the area that

When we start giving out the when we start giving
out the lineups and everything, I don't see how you
do it. You don't play Jonathan Taylor, Miami in Indianapolis.
They have a lot to prove. And I think that
a chan can be a perfect sway to the tailor play.
But at the same time, when I'm sitting back and

look at you, I think Indianapotanisapolis Smashes, the Miami Dolphins,
and I think that I feel, I feel that Jonathan
Taylor easily is going to be one of the lowest
owned running backs and put out the best return for
your price.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
And this is where we're talking about an underpriced player.
He averaged averaged one hundred and two yards per game
last year, and you're putting him at sixty eight hundred.
That's insane, right kid?
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Get it.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
I average hundred yards and you're sixty eight hundred dollars.
So yeah, get him in both, Yeah, get him in
both there, so he's he is part of my core.
For while we're talking running backs, there's some other good
running backs, uh to play, you know, like you mentioned Gibbs,
but I love Jaylor.

All right, Let's move to receivers because this is where
it gets a little wild man, all right, So there's
a lot of receivers. I always write everything down, But
the guy I think that everybody has to have in
their lineup, and this could even go with his quarterback,
and that quarterback is going to be Trevor Lawrence is
Brian Thomas Jr. Dude, how do you end the season
with the stats that he did, and and you you, you,
(18:46):
you literally you put him in DK for sixty eight hundred.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
He's on FANDLE for seventy seventeen hundred, but sixty eight
hundred he ended with eleven targets, ten targets, thirteen targets,
fourteen targets, twelve targets, ten targets. He's he's literally playing
one of the worst defenses in the league right now
in the Carolina Panthers. And we're not supposed to jump
on this this.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
Streams blowout game. This game is another game where I
could actually I don't think the Carolina Panthers are gonna
be able to keep up with the Jaguars.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
People are seriously undermining the Jaguars and their defense.

They didn't have a healthy fully seed Alua Kun last year.
People forget about that, and now that their team is
a little more healthier, although it's not the best, let's
just get that.

gonna be a big part in their offense. Then shipping
out Adam Thielen has completely changed the entire I know
that everybody loves Ted McMillan, but man, you had Xavier
or you have everything going on right now with this
team and it's unproven. So for me, me, I'm scared.

I'm scared for them. They're gonna have to run the game.
They're gonna have to use if you're They're gonna have
to use Tuba Hubbard.

Out of that game. And I think that there's spells.

It's going to be a blowout and before everybody knows it,
Brian Thomas Junior is gonna go buck eighty eight two touchdowns,
sixty eight hundred lock him in.

So you know, I think if you want to save

if I can, I like to pay low for defense
in GPPs and try to get some money, unless it's

to someone that's just got a great matchup, because you
got to keep in mind, you know, touchdowns there are
a lot of points, you know, so touchdowns are very
random in defenses. But if there's a team that you
think is gonna get allow of sacks, they might turn
the ball over something, you go with that. But you know,
that's that's the craziest thing, you know, especially when I
winning GVPS. The defense, you know, thank god they got

kicker kickers, you know, Uh yeah, hey, I got enough
against kickers. My collegeroommate kicker at JAMU Go Dukes. Uh
So anyway, but yeah, play you compare up your running
back with your defense.

So I like to see their decent price. And I'm
gonna pair hm up Mabe with Walker in my flat.

then right when you put your finger through the crack,
it completely implodes. Imploding is gonna be Kamara either getting

traded or off the team. I see the arrows on
a Cardinals stomping the New Orleans Saints, and that's gonna
start with the legs in the arm of Kyler Murray.

wide open. So I think that that's where a lot
of these plays are gonna you know, bounce in. And

that's the part with you know, the differences between a
cash game and a GJPP lineup, is that a cash game,
you definitely want to get the price. You want to
get the best averages and try to get in there.
Jean Robinson is an amazing average, like you said, over
twenty carries each year. You know, in game the first
time they played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he had just
over ten points.

if I can, I like to pay low for defense
in GPPs and try to get some money, unless it's

to someone that's just got a great matchup, because you
got to keep in mind, you know, touchdowns there are
a lot of points, you know, so touchdowns are very
random in defenses. But if there's a team that you
think is gonna get allow of sacks, they might turn
the ball over something, you go with that. But you know,
that's that's the craziest thing, you know, especially when I
winning GVPS. The defense, you know, thank god they got

kicker kickers, you know, Uh yeah, hey, I got enough
against kickers. My collegeroommate kicker at JAMU Go Dukes. Uh
So anyway, but yeah, play you compare up your running
back with your defense.

gonna pair hm up Mabe with Walker in my flat.
