give some people some more advice? Uh, we're uh, we
had some good plays last week, so ready to give
them some more.

That's right, that's right. I mean we're following up the fight.

The fight Friday night lights everybody, I assume I saw
miss but they had Trevor there was Willie was on
there and so was Lou so they I got to
watch them a little bit. Yeah, they literally just got
done going live.

So that was really cool.

And so we get the follow up and everything like that.
So you know, everybody that's new to the show or
may I just be catching this? Of course, this is
the Ultra Contrarian Show. We try to find lower ownership
players that will help us succeed in both cash games.
And Steve throws in a core four and he also

throws in the flag Go pick of the week, which
will give you a GPP side of things, right, Steve.

That's right, that's right. You know in GPPs you can't
play it safe. I mean you can have some safe plays.
Obviously I give out safe plays the certain guys that
are gonna explode, you gotta play, but you got to
try to get the low own and we weren't quite
right with the percentages last week. But the beginning of
the year is always tough. I always tell people, you know,
you do your best for the first couple of weeks
of the NFL, things start to get feeling out, and

then by the second, third, fourth, ye we get into
the season, you can see who's getting the snaps, who's
getting the targets, who's price right, who's price wrong, that
kind of thing. So, you know, the FLA Go pick
last week were little high on the ownership, but he
ended up pulling out you know, doubles at the end, so.

That was wild, I guess will.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
I mean, if we did our job correctly, we swayed
enough people to go to Judy and he came out.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
He came out great.

Got enough targets. Of course, like you said, first half
kind of stunk. It took a minute for them to
get on and right now the Baltimore Ravens look like
they're reeling in the secondary.

They thought they had that solved.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Seems like they didn't really solve that problem last week.
So that being said, you know, that allowed Buffalo to
come back. But the difference between Buffalo and and you know,
Jerry Judy is Jerry Judy technically other than like Keon Coleman,
Judy is kind.

Of a bigger player, a better wide receiver, more complete.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Even though he's kind of had a haunted past, he's
he's been solid from the end of last year and
from what I saw, Cleveland does rely on him.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Yeah, and if you had not to choot my own horn,
but if you didn't watch last week, Mayfield went off
Robinson when Atlanta was blown it away from beginning when
he almost have had.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Twenty some twenty nine seven yep, rafkings points. Evans was
a letdown, but most of the other you know.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
BUCA came through. Yeah, he touched downs.

Know that's what sucked about my lineups too, because one
lineup did good, the other one did would just finished
under the fifty to fifty cash line and if you
were in the right one, it would have hit, but
it wouldn't.

So my FanDuel lineup pit that that lineup break there was.
It was golden. It was literally leading the whole day.

And then I thought I had the second half hammer
with the four Pig four PM games, and those games
stunk Walker.

We both got Walker wrong. Hey we admite our mistakes
here walk ahead a game. But just so you know
that I played. I didn't play much, but he single
line up I cashed in every tournament, So you know,
that's what you got to do. It wasn't much, but
I was in the on the board. If you play,
there is how you and this is you have to

understand when you're a tournament player. It's not about cashing
every week. Of course you want to. You know, you
know when you listen to Hea, he's gonna tell you
how to get those fifty to fifties. I'm telling you
how to go for that big bucks, the qualifiers to
get you know, big time money. Uh and and it's
just it's just a different it's just a slightly different
strategy or a different strategy, then.

Yeah, Cash, you gotta say.

If you can afford to max one hundred fifty lineups,
go for it. I can't afford it, you know. So
you could afford that, I'll give you my core. You
take that core, you know, mess around with it, use
the optimizers, things like that. Yeah, but if you could afford,
go for it. If not, remember those single entries, the
three max, the five max.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Exactly and that and then and you weigh you weigh
in right there with the keep it simple, you know,
keep it to the single entries and keep it to
the three max so that you only put put in three.

If you're gonna put.

Three five dollars lineups in, it's worth the shot. You've
got the hit, you've got the optimizer, you have my lineups,
you have Steve's angle, you have everybody else's. And before
the lineups even go live, we're live in the subsolutely

win if you feel like that. That's how things really
worked out. But yeah, last week was it worked out

really well. You know, initially I had put I had
ATM in there.

league zero and one on the other league.

I know that this might be a bias pick, maybe
it's a biased week, but I don't think it's a
biased pick. It's gonna be Matt Stafford DK fifty eight
hundred sixty nine hundred on fandle Matt Stafford quietly gets
it done now. He had thirteen points last week. But
the Rams are going to dominate the Titans every single

aspect of this game. And I'm kind of giving away
where my one of my big stacks are. And I
know that a lot of people try to not be
Ram fans, but I do trust in them. I trust
in what Puka is doing right now, and that is
definitely a target for me.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
So when I look at Stafford and I see.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
The ability with two forty five and one touchdown, he
could easily get two eighty eight three hundred, I get
the three hundred multiplier would be great, and at least
two touchdowns, I'll be happy with that.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
I like Stafford a lot this week. That's that's a
good play. Yeah, And I don't want to give away
one of the other picks that I like a wide receiver,
but yeah, yeah, I think he's a good I think
it's going to play. I think in GPPs, you know
I'm looking, you know, so I said it last week.
My boys are on the slate, the Ravens are on

the slate. So I admit I'm a homer, but I
always tell people you know about your home team more
than any other team, whether you play with them or
against them, you know, you usually know your home team.
And so I'm tempted. I'm tempted to go Lamar Jackson,
but if you pay down, you can maybe get Like

our buddy Steve Bell over at Doctor Roto, he likes Fields.
I kind of like Fields too. Buffaloes give up the
points they're at. The Jets. Fields went for let's see
twenty nine and a half DK points last week, and
I think I think Fields is a is a good
play quarterback. But all around that range in the fifty

seven hundred, you got Fields, you could probably go Golf
or Prescott or Knicks or any of these guys.

Rogers is right there too. Like you think that Rogers
like Rogers hates.

Him play a Steelers.

Yeah, and it's a Steeler. This is the home opener
for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

You're you're making me change my line up. But go ahead,

could go BVPS. You go, Rogers. You can go fields
and pair them up with the receivers. Always remember if
pairry quarterback with at least one receiver or tight end
or two three depending on the game, but at least one.

I like what you said that you can go fields,
you go any of these in the five thousand range.
I don't think you have to pay up for Alan
or Jackson this week. I just I just don't think
you have to do it. I love him, you know,
I like it. They're both gonna be fighting for the
MVPs again. Hurts Burrow. You know are good plays, they're
a little bit less, but I think you can pay
in that five thousand ranges.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
I agree with it. I agree with that one. All right,
let's move along. One of the running backs kind of
threw you off when we did our pre talk to
the show. I love James Cook this week sixty four
hundred on DraftKings. Love that price on DraftKings for a
player that got twenty points and has been consistently getting
a lot of points throughout the playoffs and at the

end of last season and having a great season, getting
that contract, he feels confident he's putting it out.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
He is also sixty nine hundred on Fandel I love it.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Everything flows through Alan and James Cook, and they never
forget about getting James Cook.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
How do you feel about that?
Speaker 4 (09:59):
Well, you got me onto this play. I like it.
I mean I like him. The Bills again, how many
points did the Ravens and Bills put up the other day?
Like ninety points or something like that. Yeah, it was.
It was ridiculous, and of course we thought it was
in the back. But anyway, moving on, So, if you're
playing fields in the GPP, run back Cook on the

other side. So you go fields at quarterback and then
you can run back cook on the other side. There
buffalos can be good. Whether they're on the road or
at home this year, it doesn't matter. And I really
like that play a lot, so so I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
There's another way too, do you You you have somebody
that I know, I me and you had talked. Right,
We're gonna bring this player up a little later. But
also Bill, the Bills corners.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Last week just couldn't tackle worth a crap man. They sucked.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
So if they can't tackle a certain wide receiver that
we might mention later, then that's gonna be a very problem.
And of course pairing and then running it on the
other side. Such a great GPP play man, right.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
Because you're going for high scoring games, and you know,
and that's what you want to hope, or at least
if it's not high scoring, the main the main players
in that game score. You know, whether it's a team
some teams spread around, it's harder to find on some
run two running back sets, not with some team, and
so you have to find who's gonna score. Even if
it's not high scoring game. You can still get maximize

your your fantasy points. But always running back?
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Is there another Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got you.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Like you said, run it back always always played two
sides of the ball. Is there another running back you
like around those ranges other than you know, before not
giving out any of your core picks or your flag
pick of the week, is there a couple other running
backs you were looking at this week?
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Well, I'm gonna ask you. You know, I have Breise
Hall in the heat override our league. Is he gonna
have a good game?
Speaker 2 (11:58):
I mean I think he is. I think he's gonna
have a great game. And I think that goes back
to what we were just talking about. And it's not
just about what Derrick Henry did to the Buffalo Bills
last week. The Buffalo Bills practically set up their defense
to be kind of a pass rush defense and it
kind of prevent defense.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
The only problem is their corners aren't good.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
They're like okay, and their linebackers aren't good. But it's
that front line that really works for them, especially Bosa.
There was a few plays. There was a one play
and you know what I'm talking about. Lamar took off
and running on this play. It was like a second
or third down and Bosa just lunches at him and
he missed them completely. It would have been like a
(12:41):
fifteen yard sack, and Lamar juked him and the other
guy before that before getting out and being able to
get down the field.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Remember that play. That's a great problem.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah. And then I mean in that range, you have
all these guys. You got Williams for the rams you said,
you know against Tennessee. I don't think that's a hard
play either. You got Chubba, Hubbler, Kamara, They're all there
are all possible plays if you want to. But you know,
you know, I think Presaw Williams are all very good
plays right there.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yeah, and I like, you know, I'll even say, like
Jamal Williams might be a little sneaky atm might be
a little higher owned. He's fifty seven hundred right now.
Cincinnati doesn't have a defense. They're getting kind of bald.
So it allows Jacksonville to come in and be able
to play up points, which is crazy because I really

do Cincinnati. I think Cincinnati is going to blow them out.
Everybody thought last week, all the Jamar Chase owners, all
the Joe Burrow, They're all like ready to jump ship, right, No,
you're not, because you'll be happy after this week. This
is another game that needs to be focused on as
well too as the Jacksonville Cincinnati game, because both offenses

can score. But I will say I like the Jacksonville
defense a little better. Just I think that the Bengals
will will be able to score on them.

Ok you all right, all right, smove the wide receiver.

Oh wait, do we have to tell you the running
back you have to play at the top? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (14:13):
I mean, do you want to you want me.

week a wait. But him and Barkley are both good
plays to high end. Barkley him, I think a very
good at the high So if people want to know
about the high end, all right, we're just gonna give
it a no, no, no.

Honestly, I agree with Saquon Barkley. I have him in
one lineup already. I I think the Chiefs are reeling.
I think the defense has been stagnant. When they got
rid of Lagarious Neat, not that he was the hype
or the hope of the team, it allowed them to
be able to stop people.

They got exposed last week.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
By the Chargers and that, and and and a lot
of people saw that that was gonna happen at the
same time. But when you run it back, Chris Jones
is on the sideline frustrated. Why because he doesn't have
help around him. It's almost like Aaron Donald effect that
led Aaron Donald to retire. So now we got Jones.
Now we have a week secondary. Now we have an

offense with busted up receivers. We got Travis Kelcey showing
up when he wants to, and the running backs are poor,
they suck. So this team is all Mahomes and that
I get it.

Mahomes is an amazing player. He can do it, and I.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Think I mean indrupt. Sorry, you can play McCaffrey or Henry,
but we'll talk about Henry layer. Let's move on to
wide receiver.

Yeah, all right, one one wide receiver you definitely have had.
And of course this goes with of course the pairing
spook ond Nokola seventy six DraftKings.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
I'll pay it eighty four hundred on Fandle. I'll pay it. Steve.
What do you think about him?
Speaker 4 (15:57):
I love him again. I have him in the heat
over Bradley. He's he's a great player this week, great play,
and he's he's at seventy six hundred. He's the third
highest or DraftKings on the Sunday Slate. But I think
that's because he's great. It's because he's great. If you
did not watch this guy last year, you are missing
missing out. He is freaking great. So I love that ball,

ye seeing him the ball twenty six point one fandom
points last week. Ten eleven targets, ten receptions on eleven targets,
I mean eleven targets and one hundred and thirty yards
and he didn't even score.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
So yeah, yeah, and that's like a ninety five catch rate,
Like yeah, you can't, you can never. I mean, I
love him. I love him this week. That's that's That's
what I'm saying. Tennessee is going to get destroyed. And
this is all playing into my theory. Other than that

cam Ward will not win Rookie of the Year and
that's fine, but man, the way, it doesn't even matter
about Devanta Adams. He was great last week too, you know,
but he's just he's kind of that guy. He's just
that the Cooper Cup role, whereas.

Completely, and the Rams needed to get bigger on the
other side because everybody else we had was small. But
I didn't like the way that they didn't use a
lot of the other players, and they never used the
tight ends. That's fine, but that's why we love the
Rams number one players because they milt the shit out
of them.

Okay, So let's see here. You gotta pair Wilson with fields.
If you play wheel Field, that quarterback, play Wilson on
the Jets. He had twenty two and a half DraftKings
points last week. He's going up and we got Yeah,
that's right. Buffalo defense seven receptions on nine targets, ninety

five yards in a touchdown. Pair them up with fields
and Buffalo. Buffalo's not gonna be able to stop anybody,
at least at the beginning of the year, I don't think.

He's gonna get the feeds, gonna get it, and so
is Breze Hall. He's gonna get a lot of feeds. Seriously. Yeah,
you can literally just focus on the Rams, Buffalo, Jets
and Jacksonville Cincinnati. If you can pull enough from those games,

you're gonna freaking love it. You're just gonna you're gonna
have such an explosive week this week, both cash games
and GPP wise.

Yeah, and just so you know, looking here over under
in the Jaguar Bengal games, forty nine and a half
and the Jets game I think was forty seven and
a half, and what was the third game you mentioned.

The Rams, Rams and Rams and Titans.

That's on the lower end. But again that's only forty one.
But if you picked the right players, like we said,
a lot of these guys don't have that big three
wide receiver sets.

Well, the Rams are winning thirty one to ten.

Well that's the point. Yeah, he got math exactly.

The award is going to get sacked ten times, ten
times exactly.

now I'm debating which which I'll have to think about

of the NFL, things start to get feeling out, and

the season, you can see who's getting the snaps, who's
getting the targets, who's price right, who's price wrong, that
kind of thing. So, you know, the FLA Go pick
last week were little high on the ownership, but he

how to go for that big bucks, the qualifiers to

strategy or a different strategy, then.

go for it. If not, remember those single entries, the
three max, the five max.

Exactly and that and then and you weigh you weigh
in right there with the keep it simple, you know,
keep it to the single entries and keep it to
the three max so that you only put put in three.

we would be looking at Jets, Titans, Carolina or the Browns.
And and the thing is is, I know each what
the only team that has a chance of keeping it
low would probably be the Jets, and I don't think

Keep the Bears or go up? Do you like McCaffrey
in Flux? Do you like gibbs Neighbors and he knows
