Speaker 1 (00:12):
Welcome to mindful meditations for calm. The bleep down on
your guide Michael Beckameier and today we are going to
heal ourselves. Let's get started. As always, we have a
mindfulness quote to help get us started into our meditation
(00:33):
with some intent. And today our quote comes from tiknat
Han and it reads, meditation can help us embrace our worries,
our fear, our anger, and that is very healing. We
let our own natural capacity of healing do the work.
(00:58):
This quote reminds me of something that I say all
the time that I feel, and is that how simple
it is to heal yourself or make changes, or we
rewire your brain through meditation and just letting the natural
course of breathing in and breathing out, and following that
(01:18):
breath in and out. How natural and simple that process
can be. It does not mean you don't need to
do anything else. It does not mean that if you
want to lose weight, that you just sit down and
meditate and your body loses weight. It means the process
is made easier through meditation and rewiring your brain to
(01:39):
take better care of yourself. Things like that. I'm constantly
astonished in the changes that have happened in my life
in the last several years strictly because I started out
becoming a daily meditator. It has helped me form new habits.
It has helped me gain perspective on some of the
things that I was naturally doing without noticing. It has
(02:02):
caused me to become more mindful in my daily life
just from breath. It is that old adage that basically says,
you have the answers inside of you. Whatever questions you're asking,
all you have to do is turn inside most of
(02:24):
the time, and if they're truly life existential questions of
your life, you know the answers. You know the right things.
A lot of the times we are pretending not to know.
So that's what we're gonna do today. We're gonna rewire
our brain, we're gonna heal ourselves, and we're gonna do
(02:44):
it all with the basic process of following our breath
in and out. So let's go ahead and get started
for this meditation. All you have to do is get
yourself comfortable. You can sit down or lie down, it
does not matter. All you have to do is find
a way into comfort and relax and take a few
(03:06):
moments to clear your mind, to quiet your mind. Just
(03:26):
get back to the very simple basics of meditation, which
is following your breath in and following your breath out.
Our mind will inevitably wonder. It is what the mind does.
The mind does not stop thinking. But in that process
of catching your mind wandering and saying, oh, my mind
(03:50):
is wondering, bringing it back to your breath. That is
the meditation right there, breathing in, mind wanders, catch it,
bring it back to the breath, breathe out. So let's
just take a few moments here and do that. Let's
breathe in and out, long, slow, deep breath in and out.
(04:34):
Take a few moments to see if you can breathe
even deeper than you've ever breathed before, in and follow
your breath all the way out, even further than you've
ever followed it before, and see how much more relaxing
and calming and centering that process is. You can really
slow down your breath and you can really find a
(04:57):
way into some peace of mind by doing that in
an out, breathing all the way out till there's nothing
left in your lungs all the way out, even further
(05:18):
than you think you can go out. Just spend a
few moments with yourself practicing that in as deep a
(05:42):
breath as you can take, and out as far out
as you can exhale, just slower and deeper with each
inhale and exhale.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Do that now.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Up from upside, m lay any.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
L D.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
You very.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
Must said, the.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Dais had become.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Round, and our last few moments together, our last few breaths,
(17:33):
Let's take one last long, slow, deep breath in together, in.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
And out.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Take a moment to appreciate the fact that you took
a few moments out of your day to balance yourself,
ground yourself back into a present moment state of mind,
and that, in this very simple way, begin to heal yourself.
So you can move forward and move on one last long,
(18:13):
sliding breath in and out, and when you're ready, you
can open your eyes. You can go about your day.
(18:33):
I mistake.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
