Quanto degli stereotipi che abbiamo interiorizzato sono frutto dei libri che abbiamo letto e delle storie che ci hanno raccontato quando eravamo bambinə? Quante volte abbiamo sognato di trovare il principe azzurro o abbiamo pensato che soltanto i bambini potevano diventare super eroi?
La letteratura per l’infanzia ha un ruolo importantissimo nella costruzione dell’immaginario dei bambini e delle bambine e nella percezione del mondo circostante. Scrivere storie che raccontino il mondo senza cadere nella trappola degli stereotipi è essenziale per creare una cultura che riconosca e valorizzi le differenze, che rifiuti le discriminazioni e che diffonda il rispetto come base dei rapporti sociali.
