(00:13):
Hello, and welcome to the CashMy Killer Podcast. Thank you for listening.
My name is Mark. For nearlyeight years, I've written a weekly
newspaper column about true crimes and missingpeople for the Claremont Sun newspaper in Ohio.
With the column and podcast, ithas always been my objective to bring
attention to cases that have not receivedmuch media attention if any. This week's
(00:40):
story involves a twenty nine year oldUtah man named Cornelius Boxlog. For this
story, I will refer to Corneliusas Casey has preferred nickname. Casey was
born in the Netherlands and immigrated toAmerica as a child. He served four
(01:00):
years in the United States Marine Corps. He transitioned back to civilian life after
serving four years in the service. On June sixth, twenty twenty two.
He would last be seen withdrawing moneyfrom an ATM machine. No one has
seen Casey since driving away from theATM machine. This is the conclusion of
a two part story. If youhaven't already listened to the first half,
(01:25):
please go back and listen to it. Cornelius Boxlog, twenty nine was born
in the city of Tilburg in theNetherlands. And immigrated to America in two
(01:49):
thousand and one with his family.Casey's parents are Robert and Ells Huts Boxlog.
Casey was also the oldest of threechildren. In two thousand and seven,
the family settled in Sandy, Utah. For this story, I will
refer to Cornelius as Casey, whichwas his nickname. Casey would adapt to
(02:14):
American culture in the English language afterarriving in the country on June sixth,
twenty twenty two. He was lastseen at a wells fargo atm Machine and
Salt Lake City, Utah. Caseyenjoyed being outdoors and was a frequent skier.
His father, Robert, said thatCasey was a very active young man.
(02:37):
He also said that his son wasadventurous and that's why he decided to
find adventure by joining the United StatesMarine Corps. After leaving the Marines with
an honorable discharge, Casey secured ajob as a ranger working at the watershed
for Salt Lake City Public Utilities. It was the agency in charge of providing
(02:58):
drinking water. Robert last saw hisson on Saturday, June fourth, twenty
twenty two. Everything seemed normal. He had visited his parents and had dinner
with them. Robert said there wasnothing unusual about Casey's visit. His behavior
didn't arouse any suspicion their concerns.Casey had told his parents that he had
(03:20):
work related virtual training for the upcomingMonday and Tuesday. Robert said that his
son was mythed about it because hehad to take the tests on his days
off. On June fifth, Robertsaid that Casey was playing an online game
with one of his younger brothers. He told his brother he had to go
because his rice was done. Caseyhad also bought a gun that same day.
(03:43):
His father didn't seem concerned about thegun purchase because Casey enjoyed shooting.
Besides, he was a Marine Corpsveteran trained and firing weapons. According to
Robert, Casey was captured on asecurity camera before noon on Monday, June
the sixth. He had left hisapartment alone in South Salt Lake. He
(04:03):
had his backpack on and was likelyheaded to his job for his online training
scheduled for noon. He was lastseen with drawing one hundred dollars from a
Wells Fargo atm Machine in Salt LakeCity, which was near his job,
but he never made it to work. After leaving the ATM machine, he
has never been seen again. Robertsays that law enforcement checked Casey's cell phone
(04:26):
records, and according to phone records, his phone was last active in the
area of the ATM machine. OnJune eighth. Casey's boss became concerned when
he didn't show up for work. His boss contacted Robert to share his concerns.
It definitely wasn't like Casey to notshow up for work. He was
(04:47):
reliable and always showed up. Roberthas said he had not seen his son
and he did not know where hewas. Casey's vehicle would later be found
a band off I eighty by theCastle Rock exit near the Wyoming border in
Summit County, Utah. Casey's Esix eight FE license plate was missing.
(05:12):
After launching a massive search, lawenforcement found no trace of Casey. He's
been missing for just over a year. His family is desperately trying to find
him. And now on with thestory of Cornelius Buxlock, as told by
his father, Robert Buxlock. Now, before Casey disappeared, can you tell
(05:35):
me about his social life? Didhe have a girlfriend, children, or
anything along those lines? So henever had much over a social life.
He wasn't into food or any sports. At school, he always had a
couple of good friends. He hadno girlfriends, and at some point in
(05:57):
the time he had a boyfriend,so we discovered that he was gay,
which we grew up in the Midlands, and the Midlands is a very free
and open society, so for usit's no issue at all. And when
he came back from the Marine corpherehe had that boyfriend, he wasn't That
was a guy from here, fromthe city here, and he and the
(06:21):
boyfriend actually lived in our house fora while. So then it was a
good relationship. No violence or anythinglike that, No violence at all.
It was a good relationship till atsome point. Some relations I'd say,
they grow apart. And once thingsannoy you, they started annoying you more
(06:45):
and more. And then at somepoint in case, she said, well,
my friend, this is not working. So they splayed up. And
the case he was a person Ithink there's social things he had who was
with people at work. He wentwith the guys and to go from work,
they went to see movie, theywent outward, dinner, every things
(07:08):
like that case. He came atleast later, because in twenty twenty I
had my stroke and since the stroke, he at least once a week he
came over and we had dinner togetherand stuff like that. Based on your
description of Casey, he sounds likea really great son. Yeah, he
(07:30):
is. And that was the thingwhere his boss called me on June because
case he is always very reliable. If he says I'll be there at two,
he is there at five minutes. He's not going to live you waiting
till two thirty. He'll text orcall and say I got a flat or
(07:54):
whatever happened. But normally you couldtotally rely only. And also his boss
was really worried because it was thefirst time he didn't show up. So
this hall would have occurred on Juneas correct, two days after Casey officially
disappeared. Yeah, June night andJune fourth, the Saturday, we had
(08:18):
a dinner here at our house. He was there, my youngest film was
there, and it was normal. He just complained a bit because Monday and
Tuesday were his days off, andon Monday and Tuesday he had to do
some online training things like yeah, and I got to do a training on
(08:39):
my day off and blah blah blah, but it was very cool and very
normal. Afternoon, we said goodbyeand my younger son talks to MMS from
the afternoon around four o'clock and theytalked about the game on team. I
think they used team to talk toeach other on them. I had set
(09:00):
in the computer and then the Monday, June sixth, he had to do
a training. Well, his bosssaid later told me that he never showed
up for the online training, sothat was strange. The seventh he had
to do another training online. Henever did that training. So on the
age when he was expected to beback at work, he didn't show up.
(09:24):
He was boss called me, hesaid, you know where case he
is at work? I guess no. He didn't show up, so we
went to his apartment and there wasno answer at the door. We went
to the office and they said, well, if you want to get into
apartment, we Edward didn't have akey, so if you want to get
(09:46):
into the apartment, she got contactthe police. So they helped us because
we don't know anything in Southold, like it's another city, and they helped
us contact the police. Nice cameand they did the welfare check and they
said, he's not there, andhe said he has a little silver Suzuki.
(10:09):
Kay check if his car is there. So they went and searched on
the parking lot and his car wasalso gone, and he was registered as
missing and his car was the licenseplate and make and mole were also registered
with the household like police. Andby that time you're very sick and you
(10:33):
pull he said, will investigate. And in the evening I got a phone
call and they said we found thecar, and I was like, whoa,
that's a good well. They foundthe car on a dirt parking lot
next to the freeway in the directionof Evanston, Wyoming. So this the
(10:58):
state boarder to east. It's aboutan hour and fifteen minutes from Salt Lake
City. It's a sparsely populated area, I would say, but the parking
world and where they found the car, it's all open to right and there's
no forest there. It's all grasslandbecause it's pretty high up and it's pretty
(11:20):
dry, so that's all grass land. And certainly in the summer or in
June, it's all dry. It'sall yellow grass and then a couple of
bushes, but nothing much there. So you can see the car from the
freeway. It wasn't hidden at all. But one thing was very strange.
The lightest plates were removed, andone thing that immediately took my attention the
(11:46):
screws were put back in the car. It would be a thing that I
would do, just not willing tolose his screws. He put them back.
That's the way to do it.But it also says that whoever removed
the license plate took their time.It wasn't rushed it something yeah, I
(12:09):
would say someone someone did that fairly, calmly. Was no reason to believe
that in case he would hurt himself. There were some suggestions of other people,
well maybe money problems. Well no, he did. He had and
he still has a very substantial moneyamount of money in the bank account.
(12:35):
And because he was sizing up forbuying his first house, and let me
tell you, he had enough todo a substantial doubt and payment. So
money wasn't an issue in his personallife. We don't know, but we
never found any reason to believe therewas an issue there. People from us
(12:56):
weren't all say, well, heseemed happy and the great to work with
and listen than that. So ona personal level, no indication whatsoever why
he would leave. On the otherhand, the police also found no indication
whatsoever overcrime. There were no bloodin the car or any traces of struggling
(13:20):
every belonging. That more scene onthe video when he left his apartment,
because there's video from June sixth thathe leaves his apartment. I think it
was eleven forty or thereabouts. Hehas his backpack for work, although he
didn't have to work that day.Something that looks like lunch box or something
(13:41):
like that. So officially case,he was last seen on the sixth when
a security camera picked him up takingone hundred dollars out of his bank account.
Does that sound correct? So fromthe sixth, we have a couple
of cameras. One camera is fromhis apartment building. Unfortunately, his apartment
(14:03):
building had a lot of broken cameras, so for instance the parking lot camera
that didn't work. But we havea friend of mine and my wife.
They check down a store or abusiness. I think they got to drive
all or stuff, and they havea camera facing the street and you could
see a car exactly like my son'scar and with a person who is probably
(14:30):
about six feet which is my sunside driving to the street at eleven fifty,
so that totally makes sense. Thatis about ten minutes from his home.
He's driving north towards his workplace, and a couple of minutes later he
is on camera at a nearby WellsFargo at M where he very normally calmly
(14:54):
gets a hundred bucks in cash. And even though what the probable backstory is
why he needed cash because he wasgoing to treat some of the temporary workers
that the watershed employees in the summer. He was going to treat them for
Peter. So we know from avery short period from about twenty minutes,
(15:20):
we have him on camera a coupleof times, but never on his workplace.
They have cameras on the parking lotand he never showed them. And
we think he might have gone tohis workplace because he couldn't connect to his
training from home for whatever reason, and thought I'll go to the workplace and
(15:43):
to grab one of the computers thereand do the training there. It's a
theory, it's not confirmed. Noone else. Another thing that he did
on the Sunday before he disappeared ishe bought a handgun. He talked to
my youngest son who likes guns. They they go bang and they loud,
(16:03):
and that's why he likes it,no other reason. Just why do you
like fireworks? Will they go bang? And they talked about him buying a
gun, and then it's stuff thatthey talked about. Funny enough, I
didn't talk about that one Sunday whenthey talked on the steam and that was
after the gun was purchased. Thepolice knows when the gun was purchased at
(16:27):
what time. I'm not sure thatit's possibly even a videos from the gun
store. And because if you buya gun here there is a background check,
so his background check was done ata certain time and when it comes
back to the gun store as okay, that's okay, you can take the
(16:49):
gun home, So that's what hedid. That gun is also missing,
so we assume that gun was inhis back back when he left on money.
After that, the car was foundon the Nay on the Wednesday evening.
The police has been able to finda witness who believes that the car
(17:12):
was parked there already on Monday,so between eleven forty leaving his suburbense and
somewhere on Monday late afternoon or eveningthe car was brought to that parking lot
because she disappeared. And I'm assumingthat there were no witnesses, So no
(17:33):
one actually saw anyone driving Casey's carto that remote location. No, no,
no one has been able to betrack or whatever. No, police
doesn't hasn't been able to check anyonedown. And what about a cell phone?
(17:56):
He did have a cell phone? Is that correct? Yep, he
had a cell phone, and hedidn't have much values if to think and
send the text and make a phonecall. He was good and a still
smartphone. He was handy with lookingthings up on his phone and stuff.
His phone was switched off or atleast the signal was lost again around that
(18:21):
noontime on the sixth, and accordingto police, the last time the cell
phone was in contact with the celltower was around the area where the ATM
was. And so the car wasfound way to the east, like I
(18:41):
said, an hour and fifteen minutedrive. There is no trace of any
cell phone things to any towers inthat area or on the way to it,
because along that freeway there's cell phonetowers almost everywhere. So the cell
phone was either switched off, empty, broke, or whatever happened and where
(19:06):
is his cell phone at now that'swith it. So his cell phone and
pistol both went with him, becauseneither of those items have ever been located.
That's correct. And his license plateis also missing. There's a license
plate, his bullet with all hisbank cards and his credit card. And
(19:32):
on the website that there's a listof things. There's some really weird special
things that you're unique. He hada key hangar that had two pictures of
Diolate far who died in twenty twenty. We made a key hanger everyone who
gave everyone one just as a remembrance, So that was on his key chain.
He had one of those baracord doles. I think that was also on
(19:57):
the keys. So another possibility withCasey's disappearance is suicide. What do you
think about that? Do you thinkit's possible that he may have taken his
own life? Yeah, I believethat possibility number one. Also for the
(20:18):
police and the area around where hisphone was, his car was found,
it was searched intensively, intensively. It was search on foot, he was
searched on horseback because of the terrain. They did a helicopter search, they
did a drone search, several volunteerssearch weekend noster weekend. One guy is
(20:45):
a Marine Corps guy. He wentto there I think last summer. He
went there every weekend and searched alittle bit different area. In last week
the police of an area and togetherwith the detective from Sasold Lake Protector HIMSOL,
they searched the area south of thefreeway, so they got permission from
(21:11):
the wrenchers there to go on theirranch and normal for searchers, including the
last one, showed any trace ofhim. After an extensive search, there
was no sign of Casey. Whatcould have happened to this young man?
People don't just vanish into thin air. Was it possible that he committed suicide?
(21:36):
Perhaps Casey was suppressed and had notshared this with anyone. But even
if he committed suicide, what happenedto his body? People who commit suicide
usually want to be found. Wewill take a short break and then listen
to Robert's thoughts on whether or notCasey could have taken his own life.
(22:10):
Well, the thing about suicide isthat, based on my own research about
people who have committed suicide, theyoften will do it where they know their
body will be found. Because theydon't want their families to worry about them.
But in this particular case, Imean, it's almost as if he
(22:33):
just vanished. There's no clues,no witnesses, there's just nothing. So
in my opinion, it doesn't seemlikely that he did commit suicide unless he
decided to go somewhere where he couldn'tbe found and do it somewhere else.
But it just doesn't seem likely.Would you remove your license plates if you
(22:56):
commit suicie? You know what,if I was going to take my own
life, I think removing my licenseplate would probably be the last thing on
my mind. And no, Iwouldn't remove my license plate, and I
know I wouldn't because it just wouldn'tbe something that I would even think about.
Well, if you actually think aboutit, there's no reason to touch
(23:17):
your license plate unless you're putting anew sticker on it after you renew it.
Other than that, I can't reallythink of another reason to touch your
license plate exactly. Well, suicideisn't exactly something that is a pleasant thought,
and I don't like to think aboutit. But if I was going
(23:38):
to do it, I know Iwould do it where I could be found
because I definitely would not want toput my family through anything stressful as to
trying to figure out what happened tome. And I know that's probably how
most people think when they do commitsuicide. They don't go hide somewhere and
do it where there's no trade tothem. So then if this isn't suicide,
(24:03):
then I'm kind of wondering. Butif it wasn't suicide, he was
familiar with the wilderness, so isit possible that perhaps he went out to
do something and maybe he fell intoa river or he experienced some other accident.
So that's another theory, is thathe went with someone else and there
(24:27):
was an unfortunate accident and the otherrip person, Bennock, got the car
and the car, but there's notrace of anyone else in the cart.
The funny thing is it even lookslike a car was cleaned, and my
(24:47):
son was always very neat on hiscar. There was never old food wrappers
or stuff like that, which bopeople have in the cars. He didn't.
I don't either. I'm like thatalso me too. Yeah, yes,
I have to say that I'm kindof weird about that. I mean,
if you were looking in my vehicleright now, you wouldn't see anything.
(25:11):
There's no rappers, cans, there'snothing. I really just don't keep
anything in my car other than myregistration and insurance information of my glove compartment.
I don't have anything in my vehicle. I keep my car basically empty.
If you look at my car,it's the same. The only thing
you might trying to do for thelast few sheets from the gas station.
(25:32):
Oh, I can leave my caropen if I got confession, nothing in
it. But Mama show was alsolike he had nothing in this car except
he had always had fresh water. So, because we have a strange climate
in the winter, it can getpretty harsh, especially when you're in the
(25:55):
areas that are most regular roads.Normally, if he had to go into
the mountains for work. Here weget the full draft pick up church from
work, pillars drove to the workchurch. So but just because you got
stuck, you always had some more. He always had the keeping bag,
you know, first aid kid, just for the sensible things to have.
(26:18):
Inn Clark Casey has been missing forjust over a year. What happened to
this young man? Is he avictim of foul play? He didn't have
any known enemies, and he wasn'tinvolved in any high risk activities that might
be considered dangerous. We also discussedthe theory of suicide that seems unlikely as
(26:41):
well, because nobody has ever beenfound. Casey's father would learn of another
possibility that seemed too strange to betrue. We will take our final break
and return with Robert's thoughts on thisstrange theory and what he thinks may have
happened to his son. So,in your opinion of all the things that
(27:15):
could have happened to Casey, whatdo you think is most likely to have
happened to this young man? IfI objectively look at it, I have
no clue. The only thing isthey're they're One of his co workers made
a suggestion. It was almost likea joke, and he said, well,
(27:37):
maybe he went to go fight inUkraine. We were like, you're
crazy, why would he do that? But Casey is someone who if he
felt very strongly about something that wouldbe absolute what he did. You know
what, that's a really odd thingfor someone to say. I mean,
(28:02):
of any theory in the world thatcould be out there, why would anyone
suggest that he would travel to aforeign country and fight in a battle overseas
and not mention this to anyone.Do you think there's something to this?
Is this even possible that could besomething to it? But then I imagine
(28:26):
if your son was going to dosomething like that, he might not tell
you because he might know that youwould be angry and no one would support
him doing something like this. Butif it's something that he felt really passionate
about, maybe he did decide togo do it and just not tell anyone.
(28:47):
But really, that's a strange thingfor the coworker to say. And
if your son was going to dosomething like this, it would seem odd
that the only person he would tellthis too would a coworker, unless he
was really close to that coworker. But I've never heard you say that he
had that side of a relationship withanyone that he worked with. Yeah.
(29:11):
Yeah, And just in the weeksafter he disappeared, everyone's still thinking about
it, everyone's still talking about it. And I had the very good support
and contact with his boss. Andhe asked the co worker, how do
you mean that? And then hesaid, I it was a joke,
(29:33):
stepped back from what he said earlier, which can mean it was a joke
or he doesn't want to talk aboutit because maybe he did it. Even
recently we talked to her. Mywife communicated with his best body in the
Moon Corps that I talked about earlier, and he had the opinion that in
case he thought about that, hewould do it. He also mentioned that
(29:59):
she found very strong about his Europeanheritage, being from the Midlands, being
born there. He was very proudof that. So, but the Netherlands
is at least a certain amount ofthe population, it relates very much with
the people in the Ukraine. TheMidlands was occupied in World War Two,
(30:23):
and we are generations that never knewWorld War Two, but we learned a
lot about it, and we hadit in school and I think in fifth
grade, I think that whole yearhistory was just about World War Two because
it was so important in the historyof Nedlands. A lot of people in
(30:45):
the middle ofs feel very strongly aboutUkraine. And his buddy said, well,
if that's the case, I cansee him do that. So we
even got the police at the momentlooking into it. The context that we
know that he had with the MarineCorps and his old buddies. The recruiting
(31:07):
sergeant thinking his superior in at thelast post that he was. We gave
all that information to the police andsaid if you want to look into it.
We haven't been able to find anyoneconfirming it. But maybe he didn't
go the official route. If hewent. If you look on the internet
(31:29):
and fighting into Ukraine, within fiveminutes, you've got a couple of links
of people who say they get youto Ukraine or mercenary organizations. I don't
know how that works. I don'twant to know how they work. But
that's the most going theory from ourside, but only at the end.
(31:56):
It's also he don't leaves something rightbecause he's gone. He's just gone.
But even if your son did goto fight in the Ukraine, don't you
think that he would have confided inone of his brothers or someone else close
to him, He would think unlesshe didn't want to burdened them with keeping
(32:19):
a secret. Right, because ifyou tell your burn, your Burwick can
tell his parents. That's at thelast thing to do either. But we
don't know if we stick with effectis the last fact? Did you know
becase he taking one hundred dollars outof a naken? That's the last fact
(32:39):
we do. So the last timehe was seeing was he was taking money
out of the ATM machine. Andit's believed that he was taking this money
out because he was going to buypizza for people at his job. So
if he knew he was going todisappear, why would he even take the
(32:59):
hundred dollars out? I mean, what can you really do with a hundred
dollars? So it does seem likelythat if he was going to take that
kind of money out, that wouldbe just enough to cover pizza. So
if he was intending on leaving, why would he even bother getting money out
to buy pizza? That seems strange. Well, again, the fury is
(33:22):
that he went to a spacial forwork because he couldn't get connected to the
well in training or he thought,I I'll just go in and do the
training many frova tooth measure to feetpeople or but unfortunately he never made it
(33:42):
to work. He never showed upa tooth workplace. No, and just
to confirm your son's story, afterhe left the ATM machine and drove away,
no one else has actually physically seenhim again. Correct, And then
his vehicle shows up deserted with nolicense plate. But whoever removed the screws
(34:07):
put them back inside the vehicle insteadof taking them with him. I also
find that kind of odd. Whynot just take the screws with you?
Correct? And what about his financialrecords? I had read that his finances
haven't been touched since he disappeared,So no one's tried to withdraw money out
(34:28):
of his bank account or tried touse his credit cards or anything like that.
No, the policemen who started theinvestigation had it warned, and his
bank accountal was very healthy and veryrecently. The police, although due didn't
have a warned as the bank.Has there been any activity and the bank
(34:52):
respondent no, So it's almost asif he just disappeared off the face of
the planet, because there's just nothing. Yeah, and if you go away,
I would say, even if carinsurance is being paid, because there's
an automatic payment, and even wecan't do anything about it because we have
(35:15):
no pot the fraternity and my sonsisn't dead, he's missing and there's no
proof of a crime, so Ican't even cancel his car insurance although we
know the cars local road because it'sstill in the police cussity. And when
(35:37):
they searched his car. They didn'tfind anything, did they There was no
blood or there was no other evidenceof anyone else being in that vehicle.
Is that correct? Nope, No, they didn't find any evidence with anyone
else. But like, is hein Detective series when you get him the
strange cars? Hey, your rentalcar? What's the first thing you do?
(36:00):
Get the seat right? Most definitely, that's the first thing you want
to do, just the seat tomake sure it's appropriate for your height.
Yeah, but I'm six foot five, so for me, it's always the
seat because I hate being with mynose in the steering wheel. We're in
(36:21):
the feeling. That's why I don'tlike cars with moon loose because the feeling
is lower. And what was thestatus of the seat. Was it brought
in closer or was it appropriate forsomeone of his height? No, they
said the seat would be for someonearound six feet so it's sagistic like he
(36:45):
would sit there. There were noother things like a mirror. In fact,
mirror, that's another thing you woulddig if you get in someone else's
car. Right, all those strings, radio, bootons or whatever. They
intensively they went through the whole car, took out to spare. They searched
(37:08):
everything and they haven't found anything. So based on everything that I have read
about this case and everything that youhave told me about your son, there's
no indication of anything happening, noindication of foul play, suicide. There's
just really nothing. It's really hardto even come up with a theory about
(37:35):
what happened to your son. Inmany cases you might find something to indicate
it was foul play or a suicide, but for your son's case, you
truly have nothing to go on atthis point. Yeah, there's nothing.
And then nor of the items thathe clearly had with him when enough to
SPREADNT were found. So of hisbackpack with whatever was in there, of
(38:01):
his large books apparently the government thathe had most likely with him, it
wasn't found, you know that,of his licens, bank cards, bullard
keys, nothing And what law enforcementagency is handling your son's case. So
(38:22):
if anyone wanted to call in atip about your son, who would they
need to contact? Because case shelived in a South Salt Lake which is
a difference the case handled by theSouth Salt Lake Police Department and the person
who handles his case is Detective Hansonand If anyone wants to learn more about
(38:47):
Casey's story, what website or Facebookpages can they go to to learn more.
My wife has set up a Facebookpage, and I'm not sure about
what is where, what the nameis, but we have a website and
the website is Casey Missing. That'sc A S E Y M I S
(39:14):
S E N G I MG sorrydot book flag im usa dot com.
And there is the whole story whenhe went missing, what he was wearing,
what he had with him, wherehis car was found, when he
(39:35):
was last seen at well. I'lldefinitely make sure to share all this information
in the case story notes. Sonow let me ask you what is it
that you miss the most about Casey. Tell me about that for one of
his company because of the last works, and then I do the household silvers
(39:57):
welcome, come fro flee routine. That to those who would usually come over
here on Tuesday afternoon, his lastday of his weekend, and we had
dinner together and talk together. Youcan't come over for a lunch show be
at lunch with my wife who worksin evening MS. That also missed his
(40:19):
stories about his adventures with people inthe watershed and in the canyons and stupid
things like this guy with a pickof truck and he went to his brakes
and he gather up the road, and you know, all kinds of strange
stories were in the hunting season. They found almost complete Kevin with a stove
and everything in it, built ina national forest area where you don't build
(40:45):
anything, but someone build a shedthere. That's something I missed the most.
So it sounds like once you missedthe most is his companionship and being
a father and grandfather myself, Iunderstand how you must feel because I talked
(41:05):
to my youngest son and my grandsonpretty regularly and we have a lot of
conversations. We go out to eatand do things together, and I just
couldn't imagine what it would be likeif one day either one of them were
gone from my life and I didn'thave them to speak to anymore. Yeah.
Yeah, companionship, his stories andbeing able to share with going in
(41:29):
his life and our life, etc. And once in a while we go
back to the Netherlands because my momis getting a little bit older, and
I think you would always go withus if get back from Marine Corps.
He was always like, oh yeah, I'll go back, and so this
year we'll go back and it's goingto be the first time without him.
(41:51):
It's going to be strange. Unfortunately. I think it's going to be a
very difficult trip for your family.I mean emotionally making it without JC.
Yeah, you think about it,and some days are better, some days
or worse. And no news isthere's so good news now no news is
no news, there's nothing. AndI think the worst thing is the uncertainty.
(42:16):
It's very difficult. But on theother hand, the rest of your
life goes on and you can't gosit down in a corner and cry because
it doesn't help him, doesn't helpus. We try to keep the unawareness
out there that if someone sees him, that they respond and either inform the
(42:37):
police department or inform us either throughFacebook or email or tax story. My
phone number isn't whitely published on purposebecause we had a few so called private
detectives and stuff. And if youread up all those folks in the most
(43:00):
of immerse scamps, right, youhave all the nut jobs out there looking
to exploit people in your situation, people who are suffering from missing a loved
one, And that's a pretty lowdown disgusting shame that people are out there
doing that, trying to take advantageof people in their worst moments. Yep,
(43:24):
I didn't want to use that word, but the job is exactly what
you want to keep off your phonein the and that's why the first context
you I believe you had still Facebook, right. I saw the story on
Facebook shared by Casey's mother, andit was one that I thought and needed
to be told because I could justtell by looking at the photos of him
(43:49):
and reading about him on the Internetthat he was a very important person in
your life and his mother's life, and I just wanted it to get out.
And plus for the fact that I'ma military veteran and I have a
special place in my heart for militaryveterans that go missing or get murdered,
(44:12):
so I definitely wanted to share hisstory. And with that being said,
my last question that I would havefor you is for anyone out there who's
listening to the sound of your voice, if they know anything about what happened
to Casey or where he may be, if he's still alive, what would
you like to say to that personor persons. I would say, if
(44:36):
you know anything, first, thingto do, pull the police, contact
the Teck Defension or co a genericnumber forty the Emergency Communication Center. Of
course, you can always email indifferent ways. You can email me directly,
but preferably you email to Casey Missingat gmail discom, which I will
(45:00):
also read daily and then immediately knowwhat it's about, because if you email
MC personally, it might get lostin the amounts of SPEM that I still
get. And yeah, one thingto mention, I believe there's still the
fifty thousand door award out for anyinformation who which brings him back. So
(45:27):
I think that's one of the news. And that concludes the story of Casey
box log. If you haven't alreadylistened to the first half, please go
back and listen to it. Haveyou seen this adventurous military veteran Casey has
described as being six foot two, weighing one hundred and forty pounds. He
has blonde hair and gray eyes anda goatee. He typically wears long green
(45:52):
Wrangler cargo pants, a T shirt, military boots or sneakers, and a
cap. Anyone with information Casey's whereaboutsis asked to contact the South Salt Lake
Police Department at eight zero one ninefour zero six one seven nine, or
contact Valley Emergency Communications Center at eightzero one eight four zero four zero zero
(46:19):
zero and reference case number LK twentytwenty two DASH one eighty six nine three.
Additionally, the family has set upa website and Facebook page, both
dedicated to finding Casey. The websiteis titled Casey Missing and the Facebook page
is titled Cornelius Casey voxlog Missing. There is also a fifty thousand dollars reward
(46:45):

provide all of this information in thecase story It's and if you are a
parent, law enforcement official, friend, or relative seein US as for an
unsolved thomicide case, please visit mywebsite and complete the contact form. You
