Ellen Greenberg was a 27 year old school teacher who lived in Philadelphia. On January 26, 2011, she was found stabbed to death over 20 times inside the apartment she shared with her fiance Samuel Goldberg. Goldberg told the police he had gone to the gym and returned to find Ellen's body. He called the police at 6:33 p.m.

The coroner originally ruled Ellen was murdered. But for unknown reasons, Ellen’s death was reclassified as a suicide. The coroner said he was under pressure from Philadelphia police to change it to a suicide. The Greenbergs cannot understand why this happened. No one from law enforcement or the Pennsylvania AG’s office have ever given the family a satisfactory explanation.

Ellen was stabbed 20 times in the back of her neck and back. She was in the midst of making herself a fruit salad. So we are to believe that while in the middle of making something to eat, she just decided to end her life. Ellen’s parents said their daughter was excited about her career and starting a family. She had everything to live for. She had never mentioned suicide to anyone or even shown any signs. Joshua and Sandra Greenberg have filed a lawsuit against the Philadelphia Coroner's office to have their daughter's death reclassified from a suicide to a homicide.

If you know anything about her death, please send tips to the Justice for Ellen Facebook page or contact their attorney Joe Podraza, Philadelphia Pa, at (215) 882-1015 or email him at jpodraza@lambmcerlane.com.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
