Speaker 1 (00:13):
What's up, everybody?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
This is Scott Jeger here with another edition of Challenge Mania.
First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to everybody. You might be
listening to this before, during, or after the holiday, and
just wanted to extend a happy Thanksgiving from everybody to
Challenge Mania, myself, Derek, all of the guests that we
have on this podcast.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
You're about to hear this podcast brought.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
To you by Challenge Mania Live, New York City on Friday,
January twenty third awesome show on a Friday night, seven
pm in the Big Room at City Winery. Me and
Mark Long will be joined by westin Bergman, Michelle Fitzgerald,
Carl Maria Sorbelo and more. And tickets are already on sale.
You can go and get them right now. Go to
challenge Mania dot Live or the City Winery website here
in New York City, pick your seats and there are
(00:55):
actually I think a handful of meat and greet tickets
still available, so go and check that out. The reason
I'm telling you to do that, or go to Challenge
Mania dial Live and look for tickets to any of
our future live shows and events.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Is what you were about to hear.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Is the full uncut Nashville audio from our show at
City Winery in Nashville on November twenty second, twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
What a lineup show.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
What a show finished with a four song performance by
Johnny Bananas. We called it Banana Ru, a little tribute
to the Tennessee Music Festival.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Bannaou.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
That's going to be left and you're going to hear
that at the end of this show. What a lineup here.
We had guests like Johnny Bananas, Donnie Mark, John A,
Amber Katie, and we had some surprise guests. Just want
to put a slight disclaimer here. We had a couple
surprise guests. One of them was John Brennan. Always a
great time in Nashville with him, and the other surprize
guest was Davis. Now, I just wanted to give a
(01:49):
mild disclaimer here about the part where we do speak
to Davis. Some of you guys might remember earlier this
year there was a video going around of Davis giving
a bit of a speech following up on how he
feels currently about his his sexuality. Dave Davis obviously very
famously came out on the real world, has identified as
gay for a long time and and he gave a
(02:10):
speech at this I believe it was a wedding or
some sort of an event he was djaing or performing
at that that kind of got the uh, the internet
in an uproar and had challenge fans and and people
and just people in the gay community, you like, kind
of wondering what is he trying to say?
Speaker 1 (02:23):
What is he saying?
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Does he no longer identify as gay? And and so
I asked him to follow up on that and speak
to the audience. I'd asked him backstage about it and
kind of gave me in a bridge version of what
he ended up saying on stage. And uh, just wanted
to let you know that this part does get a
little bit heavy in regards to religious subject matter, particularly
those of you who might be struggling with your sexual
(02:44):
identity or could be sensitive to someone who is and
Davis clearly is and we kind of let him go
and speak his peace, and we're going to leave it
in every single word.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Uh, So just a fair warning about that part. We
are going to leave it all in.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Could be triggering for some, could be mildly offensive for.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Some, And obviously you'll hear after the fact you know,
his words don't necessarily represent our thoughts, but they clearly
represent what he's going through right now. And you know,
whether whether you agree with what he's saying or the sentiment,
I thought it was very important to kind of leave
it in because it's what he's going through right now,
and first and foremost, we just want him to be
to be happy, and allowing him to speak his piece
(03:20):
was part of that. So just wanted to mention that
at the top of the podcast. So didn't sneak up
on you. It does kind of happen, I believe somewhere
in the thirty minute mark of the show, thirty to
forty minute mark of the show, and then it's back
to all the fun and bells and whistles and guitars
and jokes and laughs and everything like that. But just
wanted to mention that here at the top and without
(03:42):
further ado, Here is the full live uncut audio from Nashville, Tennessee,
where Boy, did we have a great time live on
stage with you Me agree with you guys all weekend long,
done at a Jelly Rolls good Night's Bar. Shouts to
Chase and everybody over there for being so hospitable all weekend.
Also thanks to the Natural Predators for having us down
to the game after our show, and shouts to Scotch
(04:02):
Media who came with us set up a mobile podcast
studio in the hotel so we could in addition to
the live show you're hearing today, bank a few episodes
of the podcast, including episodes five hundred and five hundred
and one. Episode five hundred is a full sit down
one hundred minute plus I believe interview with the great
Nanni Gonzalez. We've never had her for a full sit
down deep dive. We get her whole casting story, everything
(04:24):
through Vegas and every era of the Noni Challenge experience
live on the couch.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I believe.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
We went through a whole bottle of champagne and with
mimosas all around, so that's a good one. And we
also sat down with the great John A. Stevens as
well to talk about her season forty one, so that
will be up as well later in the week or
next week after the holiday. We also have our Part
one of the Final Breakdown that'll be going up Wednesday.
Of course Part two we will be grounding a champion
next week also, so hopefully we're gonna be able to
(04:50):
do that. A lot of people wondering, hey, is this
the new Challenge Mania. We're obviously still going to have
to do a lot of things remotely, Derek being in Morgantown,
me being in New York. Obviously, we want to stay timely,
we want to be doing it, so breakdowns this episode
airs and as we get those and things like that.
But whenever we can, we're going to try to bring
Sketch with us and hopefully be able to get some
content live and in person with the folks that we
(05:10):
have at our disposal over the weekend, in addition to
the live shows, which of course we turn into podcasts also,
So you're hearing the full live show from the stage
with Johnny and Nannie and more, and then later this
week or next week you will hear the additional episodes
that we got over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
And look, it really does.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
I do look back, and I say, you know, because
on the twenty seventh, you we're about to hit our
eight year anniversary, of course of the podcast.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Our first live show.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Was June two, twenty eighteen, and I just think back
to all the weekends and all the time that we've
sort of wasted with these cast members that we've had
at our disposal for the full weekend and then we
come home of course a lot of times with the
live show as content, but man, do we have some
extra hours in there sometimes that if we did have
the technical wherewithal we could potentially be banking some future
(05:54):
episodes and whatnot.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
So hopefully we're going to be able to do that
in the future.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Could not do it without Marnie and Pete of Sketch Media,
and they did a great job. We can't wait for
you guys to see and hear that content. They also
got some great video and other content with us and
for us at the show on Saturday, and hopefully this
is the start of Challenge Mania two point zero. We're
in addition to what you're used to seeing is you know,
live on stream yard and things like that, recording from
(06:19):
our homes, we will also be doing some live in person,
person on the couch type podcast that you're getting more
and more used to seeing from other shows and how
podcasting has really moved into a video medium, a visual
medium in addition to an audio medium. But of course
the audio will be nice and Chris too, we have nice,
great gorgeous mics in front of us. And if you're
still someone who listens to the podcast, I'm more still
(06:40):
of a podcast listener. I'm someone who listens that the
one of your button roll walking somewhere at the gym whatever.
I'm more of a listener podcast when it comes to
my habits. But whether you listen or watch, of course,
video is an exclusive perk over at challengemaniacs dot com
if you want to watch these now.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
This live show we do not have the video. We
just have the audio.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
But for all of our breakdowns and all of our
interviews usually we have a video component as well, including
the ones we did in person this week, and if
you want to watch those, go to challengemaniacs dot com
sign up at the maniac level or above. Video is
a perk over there, as are our pre sales early
access to tickets if you want to be first to
get tickets.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
To Chicago Bowls too.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Coming back to Chicago, bringing wes Bergman with us for
an interactive meet and greet bowling event that comes with
four hours of free bowling. We're gonna have tons of
great guests. Mark Long will be there as well. That
is Sunday, March first. The tickets will probably go on
sale in early December. If you want first crack at
that head to challenge maniacs dot com.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Lots of ways.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
That we give back to you for you guys supporting
us over at Patreon, which you can get to like
going to challenge at maniacs dot com. All right, I've
rambled for long enough speaking at Thanksgiving. I'm sure you're
thankful that I'm gonna stop talking and get to the
full live show full audio from Nashville.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
What a lineup?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
What a show ending with banana ru and musical performance
by the one and only Johnny Bananas.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Here we go.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
All right, everybody give it up for your home Scott Yenger,
Jared Krisiski and the grandmother.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
My lad?
Speaker 6 (08:38):
What's up? Gosht give it up for Dark?
Speaker 7 (08:46):
Everybody, everybody makes some good for mister Dark?
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Is this guy?
Speaker 6 (09:07):
I wait? Wait? Wait wait, holdo, heldo, heldo?
Speaker 5 (09:09):
Question?
Speaker 6 (09:09):
Question, Derek? What are you holding right there? Dude? Hold on?
Hold on, hold on, hold on, Alex, make sure everybody's up. Wait, Drek,
what what is that? Hold on? Hold on? Got the
music real quick? Wait?
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Wait?
Speaker 6 (09:19):
What do you holding right there? What is that? I
found the shirt backstage? I was thinking that's Mark's shirt, dude,
that's why Mark's not here. He doesn't have his fucking shirt. Yeah,
maybe he should come out here and get his fucking shirt.
You think Mark Love should come out he and get
his goddamn shirt?
Speaker 8 (09:36):
Ye?
Speaker 9 (09:37):
What ye?
Speaker 6 (09:53):
Give it up for the godfather Mark Love?
Speaker 5 (09:58):
Who?
Speaker 6 (10:00):
All right? What's up music city?
Speaker 7 (10:04):
Are you guys ready to party?
Speaker 6 (10:08):
All right?
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Cut the music while our man adds the shirt back.
I know, boo, who here has been to a challenge
many alive before.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
Make some noise? Who here?
Speaker 2 (10:23):
It's your first time with us here today, make some noise.
We love that mixture. All right, we're recording the show
here today. There's no need for you guys to do that.
But feel free take pictures, whatever you want to do.
Just make sure the flash isn't on, Make sure your
hand isn't in the person next to yous face, all
that good stuff.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
All right.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Here's how we do the show. We bring out our guests,
we do a panel discussion. Feel free to yell out something.
Oh if we say somebody you love, you can cheer,
you can boo whatever you want to do, but think
of questions now, because for the last twenty or thirty
minutes or so, we're gonna turn it over to you
guys for a Q and A.
Speaker 6 (10:57):
All right.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Also, we're gonna ask you to keep the check add
to a minimum. Now's a great time to use an
example of too much chatter. Okay, So like you think
it now is too much, I would say now is
too much chatter, right, like if we were saying lower
the chatter, if we were saying important stufff set. Luckily
we're just giving the lay of the land here, but
if we were, you know, anyway, grab whatever remind you about.
Speaker 6 (11:22):
This is gonna be the for later. But but I
would leave that one. I'm just I'm just check.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
But that's for the you know, that's for the thing
you are my fun. Leave that one there. This has
meant to stay there, the one.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
Yeah, desire.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
We're gonna put it here if it's too if it's
too tempting, guys, we've got a great lineup for you
here tonight.
Speaker 6 (11:44):
All right, you.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Heard me roll some of those names. I left some
names out because we even have some guys. Cut the chatter. Jesus,
all right, this is a test run for the show.
Speaker 6 (11:54):
Where's Derek. We need Derek to start the show.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Derek, the mics are up here, bro, That's how we
do it, all right, And you know we're gonna bring
up all of our guests.
Speaker 6 (12:09):
We're gonna talk about the Challenge.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Who here's been watching the Challenge season forty one?
Speaker 6 (12:14):
All right?
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Sadly none of the people we have here today are
still competing on season forty one, but we've got a
lot of fourth, tenth and twelve boots.
Speaker 6 (12:24):
To talk to today.
Speaker 10 (12:27):
Good guys, I don't think you realize how special today
is because this is Johnny Banana's first unplugged with.
Speaker 6 (12:37):
The guitar for all of you.
Speaker 10 (12:39):
So, guys, this is like a once in a lifetime thing,
right now, there's only one.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
And fun fact, Johnny brings his guitar to every Challenge House,
every Challenge bus. He's performing for these guys every season,
but they never put it on TV because they can't
clear the songs. Well, guess what, we don't care about copyright.
So we've got a fun come. We will got a
fun set plan for the end of the show. Banana's
gonna play for you guys, I know here in Tennessee.
(13:05):
You guys, have Bonnaroo tonight is banana Roo?
Speaker 6 (13:08):
All right?
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Without further ado, Why don't we bring out the man
of the hour, hit the music while I come an
in choke as it goes a little long, give it up?
Speaker 6 (13:18):
Everybody's fair in love war and challenges for the man
who said I am the challenge.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
So I'm gonna go ahead and let's take the money and.
Speaker 11 (13:28):
Run for the man who's won the show more than
anyone else.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
Remember the man who will be performing here later today
for you, For the man who took the money and ran.
Speaker 12 (13:42):
Give it up one more time for mister Johnny, give.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
It go.
Speaker 13 (13:55):
He How do I follow up the naked cowboys?
Speaker 6 (14:15):
How do I follow up to make a cowboy?
Speaker 3 (14:42):
That's good?
Speaker 6 (14:42):
Fucking love you too, I love you more, but I
still feel the need to see other people. All right, Derek,
we are gonna need you now.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
All right, Derek just went back there and took pictures
with everybody who doesn't I have to meet and greet
for later, So shasse ShaSS. You guys know, Derek's used
to being able to run around the room for about
twenty minutes, and who's here been to a challenge mania?
So you realize We usually don't get to start until
this guy gets on the stage, but tonight we ain't
got time for that shit, Karen, because we've got a
(15:18):
music set coming later.
Speaker 6 (15:19):
Am I right? All right? Before we get to all.
Speaker 14 (15:22):
Really good, good ladies, your panties are all gonna fall
off within the first fucking song.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Before we get to all ass I hope you wore
two pairs or you didn't wear any like before. Before
we get to all that, though, and before we bring
out the rest of our guests, I want to talk
to you because we haven't had you on the podcast
to talk season forty one yet. Right, obviously you go
out a little bit early, but since you have your
own podcast, now you've been watching the season closely, something
you didn't used to do.
Speaker 6 (15:49):
You used to win, you were out, you bowed out,
but now you gotta watch from the sidelines.
Speaker 14 (15:52):
So here's what's difficult about it is I am I
don't know if you guys know this, but I am
a very vindictive brick. Okay, this might be news to
you guys. So it is so hard for me to
do a podcast and be unbiased. And that's what I've
always admired about Scott and Derek because they will do
their podcast. It doesn't matter who they have on. They
(16:13):
will always like take the neutral ground, even when it's
against me. And that's why I'm like you motherfuckers. But yeah, no,
I started my podcast with Bill Simmons. I don't know
if you guys know who Bill Simmons is. Shout out
to Bill. He actually coined the phrase the fifth major
American sport because he is such a diehard challenge fan
and he's like, bananas, you gotta do a podcast.
Speaker 6 (16:34):
You're gonna be like Tony Romo going from the field
to be an analyst in the booth. So that's what
I've done.
Speaker 14 (16:39):
Now, I've followed in these guys' footsteps, and it's great, dude.
It's like, uh, you know, rising tides raise all shit.
Let me say this because we learned something from this guy.
Because so we've obviously been doing our podcast remote since
we started.
Speaker 6 (16:51):
Why don't know why.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
I live in the best city in the world in
New York City and Derek lives in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Speaker 6 (16:57):
No no shade, no shade, no shade.
Speaker 14 (17:00):
No.
Speaker 6 (17:00):
It's the three hundred and eighty ninth best city in
the world.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
But all of our guests are often calling in from
Australia until she got canceled. I live in New York
and Derek fuck's cousin. Right, But no, but we did
our stuff remote whatever. We didn't really we didn't do
the person thing. But when Johnny got in the podcast
game podcast had become a very visual medium, a very
in person medium. So Johnny actually, when he was in
Atlanta with us for our show, him and Spotify took
(17:25):
the hit the ground running, booked a studio, booked a
great team sketch Media who are now here with us today,
and he actually took advantage of our show to do
a live in person episode of his podcast with Mark
and Derek. Cut to now July. We have our big
premiere party in New York City. We fly Olivia in,
we fly the O in. Who gets him on his podcast?
Speaker 6 (17:45):
This guy?
Speaker 2 (17:46):
So guess what we did here today? Nani Gonzalez, who
has avoided us on the podcast for.
Speaker 6 (17:51):
Eight years and two thou she's back, She's back. We
took a page out of his book.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
We set up a studio in the hotel and I
could confirm that episode five hundred A Challenge Media is
two hours with Nanny Gonzalez. And that's something that's something
we learned from you because you are very forward. You
don't take no for an answer. That's how you get
a lot of people not only on your show, but
on the couch next.
Speaker 6 (18:22):
You've been doing it wrong.
Speaker 14 (18:24):
If you want to get Nannie on the show, just
be like we got all the vapes and all the
fucking coronas.
Speaker 6 (18:28):
You could have should have been to a heartbeat, You're
doing it wrong. Trust me. We went down and this
is what we did.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
We found out when they started serving booze eight am
ten am tomorrow though, by the way, because they're still
kind of religious here, and we said, can we get
mimosas to go? And we literally got a bottle of
champagne and a carafe of orange juice, sat down with
her for two hours. The whole thing's gonna be up
this week. So but we learned that from you guys.
So seriously, the podcast world, the podcast medium is evolving
(18:54):
every day. Who here listens to and watches death Taxes
and Banana.
Speaker 14 (19:00):
Sultants in life, Death Taxes and Bananas is gonna fucking
be haunting all of challengers' dreams from here to eternity.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
So I want to ask you a question that I've
seen a lot of people asking you in the comments
this week, which is recently you said something that I
abide by it, which is why, like you said, we
like to.
Speaker 6 (19:16):
Play the middle.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
We like to not sometimes go for the juggular, open
up with the question that somebody's hoping we're not gonna ask.
And recently this week you said, you know, that's not
what your podcast about. You don't want to ruin somebody's life,
to which a lot of people commented, well, what about this?
Speaker 6 (19:30):
But what about this? What about my favorite person? What
about America? What about me?
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (19:34):
And so where do you try the line? Is my question?
Speaker 14 (19:36):
Okay, So here's the way that I see it, And
this is the way back in the day when we
started the challenge, before the advent of social media and
t accounts controls, everything was kept within the confines of
the game.
Speaker 6 (19:47):
All right.
Speaker 14 (19:48):
Anything you do when you're on set and when you're
filming twenty four hours a day, seven days a week
is fair game.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
If you got a significant other.
Speaker 14 (19:56):
And you cheat on them, guess what, I'm gonna go
into interviews and fucking talk about it all right. However,
what what was a recent introduction into the show is
people taking things that happened off of the show, that
weren't on camera, that weren't within the parameters of the show,
and started using them as leverage in the game. So
(20:16):
my thing has always been if you do something and
it's on camera and it's while the cameras are rolling,
it's fair game.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
If not, it's not. So I just want to address
this real quick.
Speaker 14 (20:27):
I had Will on UH two episodes ago, and he
mentioned a story that took place in them and a
Nissa again off camera, and it portrayed Anissa in a
very poor light. Once the episode came out, I'm not
sitting there as I'm interviewing people and thinking of every quest,
answer their every question they're answering, and being like should
this make the cut?
Speaker 6 (20:47):
Should it not? So I'm constantly just trying to know
what the internet click.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Anissa is a longtime friend of mine.
Speaker 14 (20:54):
I've known this go for twenty fucking years. She's a
fucking sister dude, all right. And the way that I
see my podcast and Scott feels the same way.
Speaker 6 (21:03):
It's it's it's a.
Speaker 14 (21:04):
Platform for us to talk shit, have fun, and crack jokes,
but not Ruin lives.
Speaker 6 (21:09):
And when she texts me and she's like, this.
Speaker 14 (21:11):
Is actually affecting my real life, I'm like, Anissa, I
got you. I'm gonna take this out and I'm gonna
make sure that, like, you know, whatever I can do
to rectified, I can. And I got a lot of
blowback for that. And there's fans out there like, oh, well,
you fucking got the higher ups from You're beholden to
nobody other than the Lord himself, my mother and Mark
(21:34):
Long So anyways, and then the America comparison, they're like, oh, well,
didn't you ruin America's relationship. No, she did by getting
fucked up and trying to make out with every dude
in the house, including the cameraman.
Speaker 6 (21:46):
So big distinction.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
And I think, look, and I don't want to speak
for you, but I think the missing pieces here is
that the Internet took what Will said and then goes
and says all this other stuff and tries to make
it bigger than even what he said on your show,
whereas with America it's all about, oh, this happened, this
happened again. A lot of cast members listened to that
episode and then gave their testimony of what they saw
(22:09):
and didn't see and whatnot. That's a lot different than
the internet fans choosing to try to ruin somebody. And
once you see that happening, that's when you realize height
is getting too serious.
Speaker 14 (22:17):
And again, I mean, listen, we the fact that we're
still standing here, the fact that we're still on this stage,
and Mark not so much meekes. I think I'm a
little more controversial than him. But the fact that, like
we've been here now, I mean twenty years and I'm
still on TV and I still somehow have not been
fucking canceled.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
I'm like neo dodging cancelation bullets. They haven't tried, my friend.
They have tried. And it's like, the last thing you
want to do.
Speaker 14 (22:41):
We take enough fire from outside and people from the
outside world trying to end our careers.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
You don't need it.
Speaker 14 (22:47):
You don't need friendly fire, dude. And that's again, it's like,
that's that's That's not what I'm all about. I am definitely,
like I said, someone that likes to seek revenge, but
and I like to push the envelope, but I'm not
I'm not here to ruin name his lives unless her
name is Wes Bergman.
Speaker 6 (23:00):
So we actually yeah, so we it's so funny.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
So you guys who listen to our podcast as well
as come to our live shows, even if you don't,
we love you.
Speaker 6 (23:07):
But if you do, you've heard us say this.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
We kind of wait for you to talk about something
for us to get the green light, like ding, now
we can talk about how you talked about it. It's
not us, and that could be something big like oh,
season forty two gonna be filming early next year. It's
a big one for Paramount, might be streaming. Once you
said that, we're like, oh, we'll cover how Johnny said that.
Speaker 6 (23:28):
That's really smart. Yeah, because it's like plausible deniability. Same thing.
Speaker 14 (23:32):
You're like, wait a minute, we can't get like mom
and dad. You guys can't get mad at us, Banana said,
at first, we're just reporting on what he said one
thousand percent down to honestly.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
So, for instance, for the first few episodes of the show,
we'd be interviewing the most random person. We'd be interviewing Leroy,
We'd be interviewing Jeremy, and the question would be ask
Jeremy if he saw America fucking around on the bus
and we'd.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
Be like, no, we're not gonna we don't want that clip.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
But then as soon as you talked about it with
Whoever we go, did you see Johnny's podcast he made
America was having some fun.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
Wait wait had wait wait we tried. We tried that.
Oh Scott tried. We did it off of his pop Yeah,
and it didn't work. It backfired. Yeah. He was like, oh, man,
Johnny's talking.
Speaker 14 (24:12):
About Anissa and will fucking and then let's talk about it.
And he oh, maybe we should cut this out right?
Well I should Maybe I should stop talking right now.
I listened for you next podcast episode. All right, Uh
wes Bergman was left on the doorstep of a monastery
as a child, and his wife currently has the electricity
(24:33):
shut off in her house so she doesn't have to
wake up and look at his ugly face every morning.
Speaker 6 (24:36):
You want you want to hear something funny. So and
he has ginger vitis.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
So you would like this because you have got You've
done more alongside West for the word ginger than anyone
other than sushi restaurants. So we just put a show
on sale for for January where it's gonna be Mark, West,
Kara and Michelle, and I'll tell you guys here in
this room, the thing they all have in common is
that next month they're joining you, Johnny and you Derek
as being a part of the Allen and Ginter line
(25:01):
of tops cards that.
Speaker 6 (25:03):
You can then go about.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
So the password for this pre sale was Ginter, and
I got at least ten emails of people going, I
keep putting it in ginger and it's not working, and
I go, it's Ginter. They go, but that's not a word.
I go, fair point. So all right, we're gonna bring
out our crazy train of the rest of our guests
all at once. Is that okay with you guys, So
(25:27):
we're gonna hit the music while I introduced them all
one by one. Letta, please for this sister, Let's.
Speaker 6 (25:34):
Get aboard this crazy train. In the show in the
Lab we mentioned her already.
Speaker 11 (25:39):
She's a guest on episode five hundred of the Challenge
she Challenge Mania. She was the last person eliminated before
the final one season forty one.
Speaker 6 (25:50):
She's an absolute MTV. I can give it up for
not a good dollar.
Speaker 15 (26:01):
Ye doing something cooler than that. I didn't come up
for notre.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Alright, next time you've seen her, who is strolley fan
stuff and he come on, Oh, we'll talk.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
Molly Fans. Don't worry.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
You've seen her on this stage with us before. She's
from Kentucky, but we love her here in Nashville. She's
a road Rules icon, She's a Challenge icon. She's fallen
from Great Heights at least fifty times by shape.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
Give it up for pat it Cool. I don't speak.
Speaker 16 (26:40):
The guys had to go.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
You saw her coming as at that season replacement. She's
the two time all start him. Give it up for Johnny.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
Steven Child.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Who all right, she just moved back to Tennessee. She
was a dude three, but she went took down her
rookie season.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Of the Challenge.
Speaker 6 (27:03):
Give it up for the great Hamburg goings out. And
I got one part for you. And you didn't know
this guy was how people give it out his more.
You know him from real world Denver. You know him
forgetting punching the face by CT. Give it up for days.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
Yeah and.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
All right, boo one more time for everybody.
Speaker 6 (27:42):
I'm going all right, hey yard.
Speaker 14 (27:44):
Yeah, ladies, I'm sorry but fucking hurt your feelings. But
I'm taking and my boyfriend's sitting at the end of the.
Speaker 6 (27:59):
Give it up? Are we give it up for Davis? Everybody?
Davis is a local. Give it up for a single
fucking nanny? Yeah, she's back, She is back. What do
you guys think of? Single nanny? Makes some noise?
Speaker 17 (28:20):
I am so much better on my own.
Speaker 10 (28:22):
My favorite, my favorite line from the show, I think
uh Olivia said she's like old school nannies back clocking in.
Speaker 17 (28:30):
You guys, I mean, you know it takes me.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
It takes a lot to get me to that point,
and we all know I get to that point, it's
like game over.
Speaker 6 (28:39):
That's what.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
So so we've heard this story a few times, so
I think I remember that the first time you and
Will consummated your attraction for each other was during a
challenge movie night. We never get to see these. I've
been dying to know. I'm just a movie. But movie
was on how coming?
Speaker 6 (28:58):
I don't know it was split? The movie was split split.
I don't know how appropriate it was split? What else
split that night? Split him?
Speaker 17 (29:11):
No, it was I don't know what we were watching.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
I'm pretty sure I watched it for about five minutes
before I got that right.
Speaker 17 (29:16):
Idea to go upstairs in the bathroom.
Speaker 6 (29:18):
So make time you're watching split about this? Is there
anyone else that like found Will attractive as well?
Speaker 5 (29:27):
Like?
Speaker 14 (29:27):
Does anybody else want to split from Will? Does anyone
want to see.
Speaker 6 (29:31):
Will back on the show? Wow? They just roll them
all out.
Speaker 8 (29:36):
Guys.
Speaker 6 (29:38):
I love this. This is this is how we should
cast shows.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Johnny, I want to ask you, so, Johnny, obviously you
guys are best friends. Your Rider Dies literally came very
close to winning that season.
Speaker 6 (29:49):
Give it up for that?
Speaker 18 (29:50):
So you leave?
Speaker 2 (29:53):
You leave the season early, but obviously now you're watching
from afar. I'm sure word got to you, but obviously
you're watching now. What was it like watching now both
as a character but also as a competitor all season,
coming this close to taking down this?
Speaker 14 (30:04):
All I thought is, where the fuck was this? Nanny
on Rider Dies? I know, why couldn't we have swapped
and I could have had this season of Nanion Rider
Dies and then Rider Die season this one. Listen, I
I've got to say, like, ever since Nannie and I
met and we consummated our love on a bubble wrap
(30:25):
in her apartment with no.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
Furniture, he's not lying. Yeah, dude, she.
Speaker 14 (30:33):
Has been my fucking for real, like you say the
term rider die, like she really has been my rider die.
Speaker 6 (30:39):
And she knows what I'm talking about.
Speaker 14 (30:41):
When everybody else in this world, and not everyone that
was that was aware of what was going on, and
I don't need to get into details, but when everyone
else in this world, including production that I've been fucking
loyal to for twenty years, cast members that have known
me forever, none of them had my back, and she did.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
And I mean, this.
Speaker 14 (30:58):
Girl's fucking you know we uh you know, we might
not share the same blood, but this is definitely my sister.
So it's watching her for watching her thrive this season
has been something special to watch.
Speaker 17 (31:11):
That was honestly the nicest thing you've ever said to me.
Speaker 6 (31:13):
I could cry you guys like that, not in the shower,
wait speaking thank.
Speaker 5 (31:19):
You, Johnny, and and look, you know, hopefully one day
we get to be partners again and I can be
you know, I can show up and step up the
way that I should have.
Speaker 14 (31:27):
On writer, I don't even care about that at this point.
You're making such a television, Okay.
Speaker 17 (31:35):
I I am crazy.
Speaker 6 (31:36):
Here's the win, the wind.
Speaker 14 (31:38):
The win is now that we're no longer up the
mothership of MTV, and they've let us fucking out of
the cage and now we're on Paramount. Plus the wind
is going to be for all of us to show
up this next season and show up and show the
fuck out to keep the franchise fucking alive.
Speaker 6 (31:52):
And well, ridiculousness got canceled.
Speaker 14 (31:56):
We did not, So that just goes to show, dude,
how import this show is the franchise and fish how the.
Speaker 6 (32:04):
Cat catfish catfish practice they found.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
Doesn't show that the challenge is hanging on strong, guys,
So thank you for all all We love you guys
because of.
Speaker 6 (32:16):
Everyone sitting in this room. That's the only reason we're
here and the challenge is still thriving is because of
all of you.
Speaker 17 (32:22):
So we thank you guys so much.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
Wait, speaking speaking of her being your sister, speaking of sisters,
that is so weird.
Speaker 17 (32:30):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
You always. I want to know if she's like the sister.
How did you see one of your exes? Wasn't it
you guys like exes? What'd you guys teammates on?
Speaker 14 (32:44):
Yeah, we're actually we get that story. So I have
it on good authority that me and Nanni hooked up once.
Speaker 6 (32:48):
You want to tell them, you guys.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
Okay, so you guys don't know this, I'm sure, but
Johnny and I were partners on exes too.
Speaker 17 (32:56):
But saying that, I'm getting calm down. But it was
after my Real World season.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
I literally just got one filming my show I don't
even think was airing yet, and Johnny had already slid
into the DMS and to my Twitter, dmour Instagram.
Speaker 6 (33:12):
This is how old school Yes, old schools. Fuck?
Speaker 17 (33:15):
It was what twenty ten?
Speaker 6 (33:16):
Yeah, it's like you want to be MySpace.
Speaker 17 (33:19):
And so it was funny.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
So our our history is before we over even did
a season of the Challenge together.
Speaker 14 (33:26):
So we just go way back, like Lua Arizona for
her birthday before she goes well, fur, I'm moving.
Speaker 6 (33:36):
Was bubble wrap? Wait didn't you.
Speaker 17 (33:40):
Drove back to my hometown the next day? He was
so desperate he had to hop on a plane and
come to see me.
Speaker 6 (33:49):
Let's not talk about desperate. This is there's other options.
Oh my god, what.
Speaker 17 (33:54):
Okay, let's stop this coveraging.
Speaker 14 (33:56):
Well, how many women have you bubble wrapp Johnny? Because
I'd say about a baker's dozen. They called me, did
you bubble Wrap Melissa, the one that also climbed them out.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
He was the original Cooper flag close. I think it
dropped on the ground watch. There's some only fan content
on that. We don't want that getting out. Oh my god,
real quick.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
So giving up for this guy the Godfather and the
Challenge All Stars. And and here here's why I want
to highlight the Challenge All Stars because we've been doing
Challenge Maning Lives since twenty eighteen, and we've been reuniting
OG's like Katie and Mark with with new blood, like
whether it's Amber or whomever, and they never really had
(34:42):
anything in common, but literally all these people now have
played on a season together. Katie has played with Nannie,
has played with john A, has played with Amber and
hopefully maybe will somebody play with Davis.
Speaker 16 (34:53):
But Davis back, Yeah, I'm played with Derek, I've played
with Katie, I played with I've played with Johnny, I played.
Speaker 6 (35:01):
With Marshare take that, Skoye, you have played with me.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
But the fact that Amber, the fact that Amber, no,
well I knew that, okay, guys, The fact that Amber
has now played on a season with Katie, you know, like.
Speaker 6 (35:16):
Like Teddy's a queen.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
So Teddy's aquy, So that's a good you, thank you
you in the back because I who dress are queen?
Give it up for the Challenge Mania Hall of Famer
Katie cool here ogay, So, so you and Veronica on
All Stars were given a lot of credit for running
that game.
Speaker 6 (35:38):
Am I right?
Speaker 8 (35:39):
Well?
Speaker 19 (35:39):
We were fucking horrific competitors, Okay, no doubt, but I
like the game. I'm not athletic, as we obviously know,
but I do like to play a game, and so
I think that's you know, I think we did well.
Speaker 17 (35:55):
Nanny and Amber probably.
Speaker 6 (35:56):
Disagree, but well, we're gonna find out.
Speaker 19 (36:00):
I did tell Nanny we we were sitting there at
like when they may us go to that horrible bar,
and you were like, what's gonna happen. I'm like, we're
gonna send you in because you're better than me, and
you're like, okay, I didn't care.
Speaker 17 (36:12):
Yeah, I have to send out.
Speaker 19 (36:14):
People that will obviously beat me, which is pretty much everybody.
Speaker 17 (36:18):
So I was like, and how can you be mad
at that? I'm like, no, I didn't. Just be honest,
that's that pretty best way.
Speaker 19 (36:25):
To play is just I agree, don't be sneaky, because
I think the sneaky shit is where people get fucked exactly.
Speaker 6 (36:34):
So I agree.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
I think a lot of people, a lot of people
at first when it came to All Stars and it
started and it was the Dereks and the Trischelle's and
the Cadies and they were all back, people were like, man,
I hope it never gets to the point where they're
casting no offense with the fetis and the big teas
the world. Part of the reason is they thought that
like a team like an Amber and Fessie, or they
thought that a team that a Devin and Leroy or
(36:55):
a Turbo and Nanni would run through an All Star season.
Speaker 6 (36:58):
But they did it right.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
So let me ask it was you and and Verronica
with the social game, do you think you guys would
have been able to get out these teams if Adam
and Steve weren't just robotic monsters on the elimination floor.
Speaker 19 (37:10):
I mean, I think that definitely helped.
Speaker 6 (37:12):
Yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah.
Speaker 19 (37:16):
I mean they were the oldest people there, And I
kept thinking, like it's so funny because like, yeah, I mean,
like the old people actually did well on.
Speaker 14 (37:24):
All Stars, so good the challenge made Adam and Eve,
not Adam and Steve.
Speaker 19 (37:28):
Okay, but yeah, it's funny because I do think underestimate
you know, as old bastards, but you know, like we can.
Speaker 6 (37:40):
I just god, yo, cutthroat, Katie.
Speaker 14 (37:44):
Listen, of all the years I've been on the challenge,
there is one fucking slam that I remember. And Derek
can attest to this because you were right there and
it was one of the most dangerous challenges they ever
had us do. We're on a forty five foot fucking
rock ledge over this, and there was this zipline, and
the taxi zipline was a surfboard, and you and your
(38:04):
partner had a simultaneous Oh no, no, this was different.
The mattress, the mattresses. You had to jumped the mattresses,
mattress to mattress. And when you jump on these platforms,
there's like this padding that actually acts as like a
shock absorber, but it like if you hit it the
wrong way, it pushes you. Katie jumps, it hits her
chest first, she rag dolls and face plants from forty
five feet up.
Speaker 6 (38:25):
Into the water. Three flips. Her face looked like she
fucking got pummeled by the fucking.
Speaker 14 (38:34):
In Pamplona and she just took it and shride and
was just ripping fucking SIGs the next day, like where's
the next challenge?
Speaker 17 (38:40):
But but that really did.
Speaker 19 (38:43):
That's why I freak out over Heights over Water and
then of course on the first All Stars I fall
and bust my nose.
Speaker 17 (38:50):
You know, Mark, I can't.
Speaker 6 (38:54):
Popped her in the nose and gave her a blad.
Speaker 5 (38:55):
You know.
Speaker 19 (38:56):
It's like, if over water, I'm gonna get my thing.
Like It's like if we over water, I'm gonna get
my facebooked like period.
Speaker 17 (39:12):
So now I'm just like I am more.
Speaker 6 (39:14):
He's like those step on my corner band.
Speaker 14 (39:16):
He's like, if there's Heights over water or if I'm
on spring break, I'm getting my facebooked.
Speaker 6 (39:23):
Fuck off. I need the bubble wrap. Yeah, but I mean,
all right, somebody bring out the bubble rap.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
To say what it challenges the greatest show in the
world is that there's more than one way to get
your face fucked. Two lines have never been fucking spoken.
All right, give it up for Davis down there are surprised,
so I'm gonna put you on the spot.
Speaker 6 (39:50):
All right. There was a video everybody's talking about. Do
you guys see the video?
Speaker 20 (39:54):
You know.
Speaker 6 (39:55):
Know what he's talking about.
Speaker 21 (39:57):
If nobody knows what he's talking about, it's okay.
Speaker 6 (39:59):
Does anyone know I'm the video? Okay?
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Three, nobody knows. It's I don't want to care. I
don't want to kill the vibe here. Nobody saw the video.
We don't have to ask about the video. Yeah, okay,
So Davis. Obviously, Davis is one of the most famous
and iconic gay cast members in the history MTV.
Speaker 6 (40:17):
Okay, I give it up for that.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
But there was a video going around earlier this year
a lot of people were sharing and giving their thoughts
on but I was like, we you need to hear
Davis follow up on this where it seemed like you
were saying that you've, in your words, I believe, like
kind of put that life behind you. So I just
want you to clear that up for anybody here who
doesn't know what you're talking about or wants to hear
more of it.
Speaker 6 (40:35):
Not trying to make things weird. If they get weird,
I'm gonna cut it off. Let's get weird. No, yeah, yeah,
let's get weird.
Speaker 22 (40:39):
You're weird.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (40:40):
First off, was not expected to be here, so having
a speech is kind of something I was just preparing backstage.
But just to let you guys know, I came out
on the real world and when I was twenty one
years old. My parents met as young Life leaders, which
is like Christian leaders, but they had a pretty rocky divorce,
and when I was ten years old, I had to
divorce my mom, but he actually he spent me really
(41:03):
hard and he got arrested for it, and from the
age of ten on he was just out of my life.
He was really resentful against my mom and me for
putting him in jail, and so I didn't have a
father from really ten on, and like a lot of
boys my age did have fathers.
Speaker 21 (41:16):
And I was really jealous for that.
Speaker 16 (41:19):
And then eventually I started noticing myself having like the
same sex attraction and started dealing with that secret. And
I was raised in the Church, so it was clearly
a sin, you know. And then I came out on
the real world when I was twenty one years old,
and I lived like what I would call a gay
Christian lifestyle for the next twenty years. But something I
noticed is that like on Father's Day, I was often
(41:39):
like hooking up with men my own father's age, because
I was just really hurting from a relationship that didn't exist.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
With my father.
Speaker 16 (41:46):
And on a year ago May twenty twenty four, I
actually took my father on a trip to Hawaii and
the whole time he's just on his phone, He's not
talking to me, and I'm just so hurt. And he left,
and the next day I went and hooked up with
a guy because I was just so hurt by the
whole thing. That guy was just like, oh, this was
just no strings attached. Sorry, Davis, this wasn't a relationship.
And I walk out from reading that text and I
(42:07):
start crying. And a Christian girl I had met was like,
I want you to meet a Christian prophet.
Speaker 21 (42:11):
I was like, what is that. I didn't know that existed.
Speaker 16 (42:13):
So she takes me to sit down and I'm sitting
down with a Christian prophet. He doesn't know me, and
he just starts saying like, Davis, you have a heart
for boys to heal from pain. And I realized that
that was one of my biggest life statements, Like, before
I die, I wish someone could have saved me from
the pain that I put myself in. For twenty years
of just doing drugs, having so much sex, just tons
of sex with men because I was just so robbed
(42:35):
of a father and I had no no, I just
didn't have it, you know. So I start crying as
he says that, and he goes, but you've been treated
very unkind by the church, and I was like, yeah,
I have. And he's like, specifically your mother, your mother,
and I was like, yeah.
Speaker 21 (42:46):
She was my harshest critic.
Speaker 16 (42:47):
She threw every Bible verse in my way that was
saying you're going to hell for being gay, and it
made me want nothing to do with the God that
she believed in. So I think this conversation is quite
strange and I don't know what to make of it.
And then fast forward half year November twenty twenty twenty
five four where we are, We're twenty twenty five, right now,
twenty twenty four, this same Christian girl comes to visit.
Speaker 21 (43:07):
Me in Nashville.
Speaker 16 (43:08):
I wake up from a nightmare and in the nightmare,
one of my Jewish best friends dies, and in the nightmare,
I regret never sharing Jesus to her, and then I die.
Speaker 21 (43:16):
And then I wake up and I'm like, why did
I get that dream?
Speaker 16 (43:19):
And I think out loud, why don't I share Jesus
to people that are gay, that are Jewish, that are atheist?
And I realized, like, I don't even really believe this
Bible myself. I wasn't a witness to it. I don't
know how much of it's true, how much of it
was written by man, how much of it was written
by God? And why does certain people get divorced or
you know, why do people do these sins? And then
just you know, they hate gay people, and like why
(43:39):
is this one okay? And then they you know, they
eat shellfish, they eat pork, they you know, there's so
many things that people do hypocritical.
Speaker 21 (43:45):
So I just wake up and I'm thinking about all
this stuff. Go back to sleep.
Speaker 16 (43:48):
The next morning, I tell the girl at my house,
I'm like, I had the weirdest dream last night. She
starts speaking in tongues and says, I prayed last night
for God to speak to you in your sleep. And
I'm like, God speaks to people in their sleep, that's weird.
And then she leaves town. I never have another dream.
I go home for Thanksgiving last year and I'm like,
what was that? Well, I got no more dreams. So
I say out loud on my bed, I'm like, God,
(44:10):
if you're real, speak to me in my dreams.
Speaker 21 (44:12):
And I get my second one.
Speaker 16 (44:13):
And then God told me to read the story of
Doubting Thomas, which was a person who lived with Jesus
and didn't believe Jesus was resurrected, and he had to
touch the holes in Jesus's hands to believe that Jesus
was really who he really resurrected. And then God started saying,
I'm going to start transforming you. So over the last year,
I've had dreams every single day, and I stopped just saying, God,
speak to me in my dreams, and I said, God,
(44:34):
start healing me in my dreams. And as soon as
I started saying that, I started seeing childhood trauma relive
throughout my dreams. The first time I said that, I
saw a scene of my mom heavily scolding me but
not allowing me to make peace with her. And then
I went and hooked up with a man, and I
felt like it was that shame that I was carrying.
It was like an addiction I was using as like
a drug fix, or maybe there was like some deep
(44:55):
anger towards women, but either or God that gave me
that the first night and then the second night, and
I said, God, heal me. I see a single mom
raising a son all by herself, and the little boy
comes to me and says to me, Davis, I want
to sit in your lap. And in the dream, I'm
thinking when I was this little boy's age, I had
no father holding me. And I sent that dream to
my father the next day. My dad didn't write me
back for a full day, and then the next day
(45:16):
he writes me back and he goes, Davis, I'm watching
golf on TV.
Speaker 21 (45:19):
It's not a serious game, so the players are bringing their.
Speaker 16 (45:22):
Kids to the game, and I'm watching a golfer a
holy son, and I'm weeping because I didn't get to
hold you at that age. So God started healing my
relationship with my father wound. But what also was happening
is every time I went back to same sex encounters,
I would get a nightmare. I would wake up from
a traumatic nightmare, and I started seeing the spiritual warfare
I was under. I started seeing that the devil was
trying to keep me sex addicted so I would have
(45:44):
no voice and was starting to convince me that I
was gay, not because I was born that way, but
because I had believed it for so long and I'd
bought into a lie that wasn't necessarily my origin.
Speaker 18 (45:54):
But I was hurt.
Speaker 16 (45:54):
I didn't have a father, and he just started using
this to just keep me silent. So I finally broke
free from that, and I shared about it in Hawaii
this summer when I sing at a conference, And that's
what broke the internet. Was a god who was starting
to heal me in my dreams of my childhood paint.
Speaker 6 (46:08):
Davis, thank you for sharing that. Thank you, I'm sharing that.
I know that was that was fucking deep. Man.
Speaker 21 (46:13):
Well this is the real world and that's my real story.
Speaker 6 (46:15):
So okay, go ahead, Scott Davis, thank you for sharing that. Boys,
uh No, just wanted to let him elaborate on that.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
And as Davis was telling me in the back, first
of all, we love gay people here, every one of you.
But here's something that he's been getting, like death threats
and comments and and dms and stuff from people who
feel like he's putting that community, uh you know, in
his rearview and letting them down and stuff like that.
And if you're offended by everything, he said, That's fine,
but just know that's his experience that he's having. So
he's obviously got a very complicated childhood in life. And
(46:47):
so I know that a lot of the challenge podcasters
and people out there had a lot of fun with that.
The video and came out and the idea, you know,
And so I asked for the backhad do you want
to elaborate on it?
Speaker 6 (46:56):
And clearly you did, and I'm glad you did.
Speaker 21 (46:58):
Thank you very much, Thank you guy for letting me
talk about it.
Speaker 14 (47:00):
Yeah, dude, So David, that takes a lot, honestly, man,
that takes a lot to to express that publicly. And
I mean, I've I've known you since, you know, your
first challenge. I've always thought you had such a kind
heart and a kind soul. But I will say like,
when I met you, I was like, you just seemed
you just seemed like, you know, conflicted, and I feel.
Speaker 6 (47:24):
Like you saw me making I was on the consoled him.
Speaker 14 (47:30):
I was on to console him in the bathroom after
the ct kerfluffle. But but I will say this, and
I know you're sitting here you're thinking like, why did
it take so long?
Speaker 6 (47:39):
For this to happen.
Speaker 14 (47:40):
Everything happens when it's supposed to. Man, So that journey
that you've been on for the it took that amount
of time. You had to learn the lessons that you did,
and you had to find out the way that you
did to come to you're at right now. So don't
hate yourself or don't discredit yourself for not doing this earlier.
Everything happens when it's supposed to happen. And Dude, I
honestly man like you sharing this. This is the most
real I've ever seen you. Man, it means a lot,
(48:01):
I think to everyone.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
In the stage and in this room, by the way, Jews,
we love you too, myself included.
Speaker 6 (48:09):
So I'll just sit throw that out there because there
was a little bit of a stray we caught too
in there.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
Look him, motherfucker all right, Johnny, So dude, we're so
excited about this musical performance.
Speaker 6 (48:20):
Later, you brought your guitar, right right, you brought your guitar.
I got a I got a question for john Wait, no, no, no,
I'm just gonna ask him a question. So I know
you to love like a good train. Hey, whoa what money?
Jesus christ Ah no.
Speaker 10 (48:40):
So I want to know, since we're in Nashville, are
you sticking with a country theme?
Speaker 6 (48:44):
Are you going pop? Or are you going in top forty?
What can we expect? I here's the problem.
Speaker 14 (48:49):
I was under the impression that since we were in Nashville,
that they and were at a fucking venue that they
would have a guitar. You didn't.
Speaker 6 (48:57):
I didn't even bring your guitar, Dude, I could have
brother a real guitar. Brought my yas flu.
Speaker 2 (49:06):
Wait a minute away, music con Sean Brennan, everybody.
Speaker 6 (49:15):
John Brennan.
Speaker 23 (49:16):
Third, what's up Nashville? Somebody said they needed a guitar? Right,
Welcome to music City. How you doing, Johnny Bananas?
Speaker 6 (49:34):
You can use my guitar.
Speaker 1 (49:35):
You know why?
Speaker 18 (49:36):
Because I am Nashville.
Speaker 6 (49:40):
Yes, I'm not worthy the original John. Right here, ladies
and John, we give it up. John. We're talking about
this back. We're that with your chair. We're going in
a chair.
Speaker 2 (49:52):
We're getting a chair for John. This is one talented
motherfucker was gonna pull a chair. Give it up for
talent and everybody. So John, so we know the Godfather.
Mark Long was on the first season of Road Rules
in nineteen ninety five, John Brennan, you were on the
second season of Real World in what year was.
Speaker 18 (50:10):
That, Katie nineteen ninety three?
Speaker 6 (50:12):
Ninety three? Dude, Shaquille O'Neill was a rookie in the NBA.
I got a fun little story.
Speaker 10 (50:22):
So before I did road Rules, I actually was in
the final twelve for his season. Do you guys remember
Aaron from his season the blonde guy, the accountant. I
was gonna be that guy, yeah, but they picked me
for the other one. So I could have been roommates
with this guy.
Speaker 18 (50:39):
We should have had you on. You're cooler than Aaron was.
Speaker 6 (50:43):
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Think there.
Speaker 10 (50:46):
But by the way, so last night I was like, man,
this is like your street, and John's like, man, I'm
never on this fucking Broadway street. So but anyway, I
love the fact that he's come back to Nashville. He
still chasing his dreams, which I always love, and uh yeah,
I'm here to support and please support John and any
of his music endeavors as well.
Speaker 6 (51:08):
He's the man, thank you. But he's from Kentucky.
Speaker 23 (51:11):
Yeah, I'm from Kentucky. I got a brand new song out.
Check out John Brennan dot com. How many people are
from out of town. You're here for the event, So glad.
Speaker 6 (51:19):
You're here, John, real quick. So John's got a great podcast, right.
Speaker 18 (51:24):
Getting real with John and Beth.
Speaker 6 (51:25):
You've been a real with John and Beth. I gotta
ask you.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
You guys have always been obviously been longtime friends since
the early nineties, since the real world. What's it been
like talking to people, new cast members, producers, everybody alongside Beth?
Do you have a new respect for her? What's this
new angle you've got with her as a co host?
Because I think you're both great, You've got a great chemistry.
What's this been like seeing this side of her?
Speaker 23 (51:47):
Yeah, I mean she's still on the All Stars occasionally,
and she's one of those lifelong friends. Like I really
didn't know Bananas very well until today at Many once
and he's like, yeah, yeah, here's my number, Like we're family.
But that's kind of the way it is with these
shows is I was talking to Davis. We'd never met backstage,
and so it's like we just have this understanding that
(52:07):
we've been on this crazy show or shows together and
we kind of know what you've been through.
Speaker 18 (52:12):
So you see the good and the bad.
Speaker 23 (52:14):
Sides of everybody, and you just you just realize that
not everybody is the way.
Speaker 24 (52:18):
They look on.
Speaker 2 (52:19):
Some people here have only seen her bad side. But yeah,
just so you know, got John and I are such ogs.
Speaker 10 (52:26):
So when I when I initially started communicating with MTV,
there was no cell phone, there was no fucking internet,
so they had to call my home phone like the
rotary phone. So I remember my mom left the note
and said some lady from in Quotes MTV called question
Mark and left the number. So I had to actually
(52:47):
like dial the fucking phone and talk to this woman.
But him and I are very og that we existed
before the technology of what is today.
Speaker 6 (52:55):
So no Twitter, no Instagram, which would have been great
back in.
Speaker 10 (52:59):
The I want to say it was not that it
was better by no means, but it was just like,
I guess it's more honest, I guess different because we
had no way to, like if we wanted to yelt
and we had like fly to their house and be like,
you fucking asshole, you just.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
Have to mail somebody a letter, and by the time
they would get the letter, you would reconsider it.
Speaker 10 (53:16):
You know how many times you like deleted a deleted
a note everything is so instant now that it's like
it was. It was nice to do it that at
that time, and it's nice to do.
Speaker 6 (53:25):
It at this time.
Speaker 2 (53:26):
Well, so real quick, because we have such a great,
huge panel. I don't want to forget to talk to buddy. Everybody,
give it up for my Queen's here, Amber and John A.
We've got the double Agent's Champ. We've got the two
time All Stars Champ.
Speaker 6 (53:42):
Both moms. Give it up for moms on the list.
Give it up to mom.
Speaker 8 (53:49):
Up.
Speaker 6 (53:49):
My daughter is actually here, John John's daughter is here.
The twin, her twin, where she the twin? There she is.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
There's Johnny little So who who's been watching season forty one?
And when Johnny, when Johnny walks into season forty one
and people are already hating on her, are you like
me where you're.
Speaker 6 (54:13):
Like, what's the deal? Mikayla, why do you so so?
Walk us through?
Speaker 2 (54:17):
We did record a podcast you'll hear more about this,
But walk us through. When you walked into this game,
obviously you're stepping into two big shoes, car Maria's shoes indirectly,
But why did you feel like you were catching side
eyes and murmurs and comments from everybody around.
Speaker 25 (54:29):
Way No, I walked into this game and the level
of like, like Johnny said, poisoning the well or the
manipulation that was happening, I felt I didn't even know
what to do because I was just like, why does
everybody hate me? And why am I here trying to
convince my partner that I'm a good partner?
Speaker 5 (54:44):
You know?
Speaker 6 (54:45):
It was it was very stressful.
Speaker 19 (54:47):
I just said that to her backstage, Yeah, why, like
are people fucking Steid?
Speaker 6 (54:51):
Did I not know who ct?
Speaker 7 (54:52):
It was?
Speaker 6 (54:53):
John A. R. Too.
Speaker 25 (54:55):
Like other people that they were, they already had three
weeks to you know, build relationships with other cast members,
and so when you're in the challenge and you're in
that like war mindset, it's like you don't know who
to trust whatever. And at that point I was already
too late, Like there was no breaking through to my partner.
Speaker 5 (55:11):
So I will say that, Johnny, you definitely that's it's
a disadvantage. It's like going into the game late. The
alliance has already formed, the game's already played.
Speaker 17 (55:19):
You're coming in and you are.
Speaker 5 (55:21):
It sucks the position that you were put in, And honestly,
it would make me so mad listening to all of
the rookies talk shit about you, like, put some fucking
respect on your name.
Speaker 14 (55:34):
He does also the other and and and one of
the worst things that happened this season is you got
put with somebody who was an absolute bowl. Yeah, but physically,
but mentally he was so weak and the problem everybody
get into his head manipulently. And the one person that
he should have listened to, and the one person that
(55:55):
he wanted that had his back he should have listened to,
he didn't.
Speaker 6 (55:58):
And he chose to listen to you know, THEO and
Jake and all.
Speaker 14 (56:02):
These guys that were that did not have his best
interest in Yeah.
Speaker 6 (56:04):
They didn't.
Speaker 25 (56:04):
He was like riding so hard for these people, and
then when it came to when it came down to it,
they like threw him.
Speaker 2 (56:11):
You're like, bro, I'm on your teeth. There's a million
jokes I can make. Oh, who the fuck is gay
beating whatever?
Speaker 1 (56:18):
Bob Bob.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
We know he'd beat Johnny in an elimination. Okay, so
we'll's get that out of the way. But I want
to ask you did that change him at all? Was
he a little bit big for his breeches?
Speaker 6 (56:26):
After that? After the winner was that gave the minute
he stepped into the house.
Speaker 5 (56:29):
Guys, that was gave the second he stepped into the house.
I mean, you saw how we talked to Naya. He
came in with this god complex like he was better
than everybody because I'm sure of his size and don't
get me wrong, he's he's a sweet guy, okay, but
in the game he definitely came in And I don't know,
a lot of the rookies are like that though, like
they just kind.
Speaker 6 (56:49):
Of saying all of them really right.
Speaker 17 (56:50):
A lot of them just walked.
Speaker 5 (56:52):
Around like they're I'm like, they shouldn't stink, and it
was fucking it was annoying.
Speaker 14 (56:56):
It's the fucking participation trophy generation. So it's instant gratification.
Everyone on this stage. Everyone on this stage. We had
to earn the title part. We had to earn respect.
We were not given it. And that's how it used
to be. I remember when I was like my fifth,
(57:16):
sixth season in I was still in couple being called
a vet.
Speaker 6 (57:20):
I'm on stage with I'm on shows with.
Speaker 14 (57:22):
Mark and Katie Brad CT, Rachel Veronica like absolute fucking dogs,
and I'm like, I Derek, I don't, Durrell. I don't
consider myself a VET. Yet you have kids that come
on and do one season and on season two they're like, Yeah, I'm.
Speaker 1 (57:38):
A fucking VET.
Speaker 17 (57:40):
What I did not know Mikayla was I was like,
who who is that?
Speaker 5 (57:48):
Like?
Speaker 17 (57:48):
I honestly, I'm like, she wait, I is she a
rookie era of like the.
Speaker 14 (57:52):
Notable exception is Olivia because she literally took a fucking
golf ball to the face.
Speaker 7 (58:00):
I mean.
Speaker 14 (58:02):
Yeah, literally took the golf ball to the face. Eight
hundred miles an hour could have killed her, split her
face open.
Speaker 6 (58:08):
Was like, I want to continue on its hospital.
Speaker 2 (58:13):
So Amber, you went through something similar. I want to say,
so you had one double agents. For whatever reason, they
didn't bring you on from main cast, but they made
you an alternate and you came in like midway through spies,
lies and allies correct And let me ask you, do
you feel like I don't know if you've been watching
the season, but do you feel like when you came
in everyone already treated you as if they had preconceived
(58:33):
notions about you and that you were walking into a
game that you had no place in, no matter how
hard you tried.
Speaker 8 (58:39):
Yes, Honestly, I want to say it to anyone that
the only person that's ever sent me home has been Nanny.
Speaker 26 (58:47):
But she I've never went against her, She's never sent
home that way.
Speaker 8 (58:50):
But yeah, I felt that same way, Johnny. But I'm
hated every season, So I don't give a fuck.
Speaker 5 (58:59):
I set you in and I've sent you home because
you're an amazing competitor.
Speaker 6 (59:03):
You have won.
Speaker 17 (59:05):
You're a champ like you. You're you became a champ
within what three seasons? Two seasons? Your first season was.
Speaker 26 (59:12):
Season like, come on, But but I've never went against her,
She's never sent home that way.
Speaker 8 (59:25):
But yeah, I felt that same way, Johnny. But I'm
hated every season. I don't give a fuck.
Speaker 5 (59:33):
Okay, I've set you in and I've sent you home
because you're an amazing competitor.
Speaker 6 (59:39):
You have won.
Speaker 17 (59:40):
You're a champ like you, You're you became a champ
within what three seasons? Two seasons? Your first season was.
Speaker 5 (59:47):
Season like, come on, there's a reason why but you
But I always like, came to you and I let
you go ahead of time.
Speaker 17 (59:54):
Girl, she did came to me and she was.
Speaker 8 (59:56):
Like, listen, you're going to elimination. I don't want to
see any but you'd go in.
Speaker 17 (01:00:00):
You, Yeah, I go in.
Speaker 8 (01:00:01):
I think every time I find out I'm going, and
I always come back.
Speaker 6 (01:00:05):
Yes, tell me he's not gonna be doing that Moore, Right,
I'm done.
Speaker 14 (01:00:12):
Remember there's the rare exception where when she's blindsided she
actually rises to the occasion. Most of the time you're like,
let's not tell them they're going until last second. It's
going to fuck them up. Amber, It's actually she performs
better when.
Speaker 17 (01:00:24):
She's the switch it.
Speaker 5 (01:00:27):
When it comes to eliminations with you, I've never seen
anything like it, honestly, Like something goes off and you
just like turn into like this, like superhuman.
Speaker 14 (01:00:36):
I've never seen anything like it other than when I
look in the mirror every single second day, something switches
and you just.
Speaker 6 (01:00:41):
Turn it through the person.
Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
So Amber, you obviously you started on Big Brother, but
I don't know that everyone kind of associates with you
with Big Brother the same way they associate Josh with
Big Brother or this season Cedric with Big Brother. Because
I don't know. You tell me, do you feel like
you play a Big Brother game? Did Big Brother have
that effect on the kind of game you play? Because
because I don't think we have Big Brother sucks, magnets
(01:01:08):
and stickers at the merch day. By the way, I
don't know if you saw those. They're going fast.
Speaker 8 (01:01:13):
Honestly, Like, I feel like I play a very loyal game.
I do have a hard time, like even with john
A going like a, oh my god, I felt so
bad about that.
Speaker 6 (01:01:22):
You shouldn't feel bad.
Speaker 17 (01:01:23):
He told me, I did, I did.
Speaker 6 (01:01:24):
Tell you the way.
Speaker 17 (01:01:27):
It was literally a last minute Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:01:30):
It was like but I I if I mean something,
I really say it, and I feel like, uh, yeah,
I play a very loyal game. I don't feel like
Big Brother is really like that.
Speaker 17 (01:01:40):
But I can ask anyone here.
Speaker 8 (01:01:41):
I don't know. Do I play this Brother game? I
can confirm, Okay.
Speaker 6 (01:01:45):
She does play a Big Brother game.
Speaker 17 (01:01:46):
She plays a Loyal game, not a Big Brother game.
Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
So those are two choice, it's Big Brother or Loyal. Wait,
hold on while we're at this discussion.
Speaker 14 (01:01:53):
I would like because Nanny made a very excellent point
last episode with Michaela when she says, this isn't Big Brother,
this isn't.
Speaker 6 (01:02:05):
What I did.
Speaker 8 (01:02:06):
That was.
Speaker 5 (01:02:07):
Here's the thing, Like you know, with shows like Big
Brother and Survivor, you go in you play hard your
first because that's the only season. Right with the Challenge,
It's like you can play hard one season, but like
do your thing, We're gonna see you next season, and
that's only you can only play that game once. And
I think I was just so mad at the moment.
(01:02:29):
I couldn't really articulate what the fuck.
Speaker 17 (01:02:32):
That's really It was more.
Speaker 5 (01:02:34):
So like I've just felt like okay, like I the
challenge is just so different, like you have multiple seasons
to play with people, and like you can only play
a dirty season once.
Speaker 17 (01:02:44):
Everybody's gonna know who you are. You can't do that.
Speaker 5 (01:02:46):
And I think that's what I was trying to get out,
but that, yeah, I agree with.
Speaker 27 (01:02:49):
That, right.
Speaker 6 (01:02:50):
Yeah, guys, we're gonna turn over to you.
Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
So if you have a question, what I'm gonna ask
you to do is line up right here, right at
the corner of the stage right here.
Speaker 6 (01:02:58):
We're gonna try to get.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
To his man any of you as possible, all right,
So if you have a question, just stand up right here,
get that.
Speaker 6 (01:03:05):
Out for VH one. Ol VH one guys. The guy
that's got drinks and paint pens, you know, John A. Amber,
I have a question.
Speaker 14 (01:03:18):
I have a question, like you, like Amber, you had
this like this this like weird thing where like people
were being mean to you for like being nice or
like for some random reasons. They were just like making
up instead of just saying like, hey, I don't like her,
we don't play the same game.
Speaker 6 (01:03:34):
They're just like mean to you.
Speaker 14 (01:03:36):
And then Johnny same with you, like this season, like
people were mean to you for just being bubbled nice
or whatever.
Speaker 25 (01:03:43):
They're used to people treating them differently and when they
see someone come in, who's like nice and who's genuine.
Speaker 17 (01:03:53):
Because they're being minimal by other people.
Speaker 6 (01:03:56):
So my question is who was the meanest?
Speaker 25 (01:03:59):
Who's the meanest?
Speaker 6 (01:04:00):
Who was the meanest to you? Like, who comes across
as like the meanest cast member to you?
Speaker 28 (01:04:04):
Like, who are you?
Speaker 6 (01:04:05):
What do you think? It's like a dick?
Speaker 25 (01:04:09):
I mean, if you guys want me to be honest,
I'm not a big Anissa fan, not a bigger fan
of me. I know she has a lot of fans, guys,
but Anissa.
Speaker 14 (01:04:20):
Oh oh really push you know what, I'm putting that
back in my episode, Sasha put that clip back here.
Hold on, hold on, Johnny, Johnny, you you cut a
clip from your episode.
Speaker 6 (01:04:32):
We cut a whole episode?
Speaker 5 (01:04:34):
Do we not?
Speaker 6 (01:04:35):
Whenever that happened, Like, do we not just like remove
the whole episode we talked about.
Speaker 14 (01:04:44):
He's like, these intelligens, did we remove a whole episode
or no, we left it in there.
Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
No, what you're talking about is when when Nannie went
on Johnny's podcast and they talked about how Anissa Will
hooked up and blah blah blah, and then I went
on our podcast and came to her defense, and then
we like, we like, well, why I did I did?
Speaker 6 (01:05:08):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
What I said was what I said, was what I said?
Was I said was is that Will needs to take
some of his shoulders. Will Will needs to shoulder some
of his blame also. And I think when we then
went on to see how your guys this season ended,
it kind of makes sense why he left there and said,
how can I get back at her?
Speaker 6 (01:05:28):
And have you left care?
Speaker 4 (01:05:30):
I don't care.
Speaker 6 (01:05:31):
I don't care either. Defense and defense.
Speaker 14 (01:05:34):
We were in Amsterdam, we had eaten a bag of
mushrooms and he just went to a botanical garden.
Speaker 6 (01:05:40):
Okay, yeah, we were floating, by the way, I don't care. Now,
by the way, that's our girl. Know you one of them?
Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
For me?
Speaker 6 (01:05:57):
There's a line here more than will shot shot? Where's
your wait? On needs to answer this question. You don't
need to be.
Speaker 17 (01:06:08):
Dick to me.
Speaker 6 (01:06:11):
Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait, drink it
to what that dog music?
Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
We're doing.
Speaker 6 (01:06:15):
We're doing a shot and then we're going to answer
that question myself. If you got a party, what you
got a drake? Holding up? Hold up your draming up,
hold up your drinks, Give shot shot shot shot, So
swimming with bow legged women? Thirty five shots on the stage,
Nashville tears.
Speaker 5 (01:06:34):
Woo.
Speaker 6 (01:06:37):
I want to I want to get Amber to answer
this question. To the music, she says she has a
list of people.
Speaker 17 (01:06:42):
That are nice to me. Yeah about the name to
a guy, Devin Well. I love Devan outside of the
game and outside.
Speaker 6 (01:06:49):
He's hilarious.
Speaker 12 (01:06:50):
He was a dick to you.
Speaker 17 (01:06:52):
You were a dick to me on All Stars. Let's
not talk about All Stars.
Speaker 6 (01:06:56):
Yea, All Stars?
Speaker 8 (01:06:59):
No listed right before I you remember sitting wasn't on
All Stars?
Speaker 17 (01:07:03):
I mean all starts as you were.
Speaker 6 (01:07:05):
We were on All Starts.
Speaker 18 (01:07:06):
No, no, it was.
Speaker 17 (01:07:10):
It was the where I was pregnant.
Speaker 6 (01:07:12):
What season was that Global Championship. Oh, the forgotten season
that everyone covid.
Speaker 8 (01:07:18):
Yeah, you were a dick when I got there, you said,
you go to the back.
Speaker 17 (01:07:21):
What was Carson?
Speaker 8 (01:07:22):
But I ended up Really I was pregnant.
Speaker 14 (01:07:24):
No, we were because just a l asshole. Were against
Everyone was against me. That season was against me, and
then I.
Speaker 6 (01:07:31):
Was I had COVID, I had COVID, I was pregnant.
Speaker 14 (01:07:34):
I got COVID in Spain. I got COVID in Spain
at the El Classico game. All right, it was Real
Madrid versus Barcelona. I got COVID.
Speaker 6 (01:07:42):
I brought it to South Africa, effected the entire happening.
Hold On, hold on, let Amber finished the And.
Speaker 8 (01:07:50):
If girl I don't see eye with a lot of
the time, would be as.
Speaker 6 (01:07:55):
Well, shade.
Speaker 17 (01:07:58):
If I did.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Go back and we invented covid here in Nashville. Who
was here at that show? January two, thy and twenty
were on a show You got together that everyone came home.
I'm I don't know what it was. I'm pretty sure
we started here in Nashville. So we were the Tom
Hanks before Tom Hanks. All Right, we have time for
(01:08:21):
two questions. Thanks Derek uh you got time for two questions?
All right, what's your name?
Speaker 6 (01:08:27):
Where you're from? What's your question? Made quick? You fucking ho.
Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
Just go like this?
Speaker 6 (01:08:37):
What's what's happening? Hello?
Speaker 17 (01:08:39):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 20 (01:08:40):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (01:08:40):
We're asking questions. I have a question?
Speaker 1 (01:08:42):
What did he say something?
Speaker 6 (01:08:47):
What's the first thing I wanted to ask? Was any
of you like to be on the Traders? And Johnny, Johnny, Johnny,
you were on the Traders? I would like to. I
just would like to actually make it the breakfast fucking
one day or more than one.
Speaker 19 (01:09:02):
I would love it because I don't want to do
athletic ship. I want to just play with my brain.
Speaker 6 (01:09:07):
So you would crush, you would. I would like to do.
Speaker 25 (01:09:12):
Traders Detector, so I feel like I could do it.
I don't know if I would be a good trader
that this might be a popular parte.
Speaker 14 (01:09:26):
The evolution of the challenge has gotten so physical that
it's taken people out of the game that if they
don't have this like physical dominance, they can't necessarily use
their minds or their or their strategic or political games anymore.
Speaker 6 (01:09:40):
And that's again to Katie's point. In John A's point, Traders.
Speaker 14 (01:09:43):
Is amazing because the athletic part is completely loud, and
it's like, how well can you fucking control room and
run a house? And I've seen Katie do it. I've
seen john A do it. She drug me with one
hundred milligram fucking uh.
Speaker 6 (01:09:58):
One time, and I'd be Johnny here.
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Would love to see Johnny on Traders. Johnny for more
than an episode?
Speaker 6 (01:10:10):
Yeah? Maybe maybe next time. No, I will ask you Villains.
Did you would be perfect on that? You'd be perfect
on House of Villains?
Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
Why villain?
Speaker 14 (01:10:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:10:32):
Hell yeah, you're a villain.
Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
Fuck yeah, dude, you're a viellant Johnny, Johnny, there were
rumors that they would bring you back.
Speaker 5 (01:10:39):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
Is there any substantiation to that House Villains? No, to Traders, there's.
Speaker 14 (01:10:44):
An All Stars season coming up, and they're like, do
you want to be on All Stars? I'm like, how
am I gonna be in All Stars? I was fucking
murdered first. I will say this though, out of all
the past three seasons, every Faithful that was murdered first
got to come back.
Speaker 6 (01:10:58):
I'm the only one that hasn't. Well.
Speaker 14 (01:11:01):
I think it's because I insulted Allan's outfit. I was
like dude, I'm fucking better dressed.
Speaker 6 (01:11:04):
So he's like, Ba's not coming back. Then he was okay,
next question, what your name is?
Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
Pilot Pete?
Speaker 20 (01:11:10):
Here?
Speaker 6 (01:11:10):
By the way, I don't know did they ever make
it pay? Did Pilot Pete make it?
Speaker 7 (01:11:14):
No?
Speaker 6 (01:11:15):
No trader faithful? He didn't make it? What You're dead
to me? What a trader? Everybody?
Speaker 9 (01:11:22):
Joel from Saint Louis good to see you all, happy
to be here. Hoping that one of our future themes
might be a second chances with a favorite partner. So
if you could redo a season with a partner you
didn't take it with, who would you do it that
season with?
Speaker 6 (01:11:35):
Not Nonny?
Speaker 17 (01:11:37):
I think we are like I wouldn't love to redo
a season with Johnny for sure?
Speaker 18 (01:11:46):
We love you?
Speaker 6 (01:11:48):
What about you, Derek? Derek, who do you want to
be partner with?
Speaker 18 (01:11:51):
You know?
Speaker 22 (01:11:51):
I seeing how well like Adrian did this season, you
guys know Adrian with her, I think we were really
close to being partners this season, although I think that
we would have went into elimination every single fucking time anyway,
just like her and THEO did.
Speaker 6 (01:12:09):
I wonder how well we would be doing at the
end during the final seeing how much you don't listen
and like, like how.
Speaker 14 (01:12:20):
He's not doing so great on the mountains and ship
like that, Like I wonder how well me.
Speaker 6 (01:12:24):
And Adrian would do at the end of this thing.
All right, next question, what's your name? Where you're from?
Speaker 29 (01:12:33):
Go ahead, I'm Lucas and I'm from Michigan. And my
question is what rookie from this season do you guys
think should come back to the most for everyone? Like
who deserves the callback?
Speaker 6 (01:12:46):
Sydney?
Speaker 17 (01:12:46):
Sidney for sure?
Speaker 18 (01:12:49):
Adrian too.
Speaker 17 (01:12:50):
I know, I know you guys, see your chiefs. She's
kind of an asshold.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
Such none of them. I don't fucking know. Question is
what Let's ask the crowd. Let's ask the crowd. Let's
ask the crowd. Who here thinks?
Speaker 6 (01:13:05):
Justin? Just who he thinks? Gabe, Wow, there's a second chance, Jeremy.
Who here thinks? Sydney? All right? We got some Jews here?
(01:13:26):
I love it?
Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
All right?
Speaker 6 (01:13:27):
Who here thinks? D? That's nicer?
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
D was supposed to be here tonight, Unfortunately couldn't be here.
She will We will bring her back to Nashville another time.
But Derek partner with D Johnny and D Johnny's on
here okay, all right, A couple more, A couple more.
Who here thinks Adrian? Who here thinks Cedric?
Speaker 6 (01:13:54):
And who here thinks? Will I love you? I love
you so much? How about is he who thinks?
Speaker 4 (01:14:05):
Is he.
Speaker 6 (01:14:07):
Rogan? So I can't be black boy?
Speaker 1 (01:14:09):
Is he.
Speaker 6 (01:14:12):
Who dieds hey? Blue blue? Anybody like blue Blue? What
about America? Man?
Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
That's the that's the worst pop for America in Nashville ever,
that's they.
Speaker 6 (01:14:29):
Love America here like America? X pock heat. That's an
x poc heat for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
All right, next question, go ahead, Thank you brother, all
the way from Michigan, by the way.
Speaker 6 (01:14:37):
Okay, next question, go ahead.
Speaker 30 (01:14:40):
I currently reside in Memphis, Tennessee. We got fucking heard
in Memphis, Tennessee.
Speaker 6 (01:14:46):
Go Jamran. What's that? I said? Go jamorant day?
Speaker 30 (01:14:53):
So I have a question and then a mini question.
So my first question is there was so much cheating,
like on camera going on this season. So I wanted
to know if that always happens and we're just not
privy to it, or if that was just specialized to
this season. And then my other mini question is for oh.
Speaker 6 (01:15:11):
Did bananas leave? All right, we'll get him back.
Speaker 30 (01:15:15):
Okay, Okay, So my husband is a Penn State alum,
so I was going to ask him how he felt
like about James Franklin being fired because I know he's
from Penn State.
Speaker 2 (01:15:28):
All Right, we'll get back to cheating, cheating on the challenge,
and we mean cheating like in the rule sense, not
in the tender sense.
Speaker 6 (01:15:36):
So so think no, listen.
Speaker 10 (01:15:38):
I think as soon as TJ says something, if you
don't instantly go to, well, what's the loophole.
Speaker 6 (01:15:44):
That I could get by? That might be like cool,
but not like there's always that.
Speaker 10 (01:15:48):
But I mean the eating stuff is so dangerous because
there's only a few judges and they can't see everyone,
so of course half the people are trying to know
because it is gross. But I think cheating is definitely
frowned upon, but it's happening more.
Speaker 1 (01:16:04):
Likely than not.
Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
Yeah, I feel like Johnny's a great person to ask
about this, because Johnny's.
Speaker 6 (01:16:08):
A great person. Non Johnny, here, here he goes. But
the answer is gonna be the same. The ANSWER's gonna
be the same. If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.
I'll tell you Johnny cheating ever cheated today in my life?
I don't know, Johnny.
Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
No, but no, but Johnny, you were not on the
show when they did the whole cheating during the eating.
You were not on the show when when when THEO
was cheating during the daily and got immediately DQ. But
you are someone who has spent the rules in the past.
What do you where do you think the line is
when it comes to you know, up, you didn't say
we could do this and flat out cheating like I'm
not eating the food I'm supposed to eat.
Speaker 14 (01:16:40):
Exactly so again, throwing fucking onions behind you, that's part
of the game.
Speaker 6 (01:16:45):
Okay, that's that's cheating.
Speaker 14 (01:16:47):
What I like to do is I like to like,
I like to bend the rules, and I like to
find things that like aren't in the fine print. For example, Uh,
we did this one challenge it was bloodlines, I believe,
where we had to put our heads in a box okay,
and there was grasshoppers and cockroaches jumping around, and what
you were supposed to do was catch them with your mouth,
(01:17:09):
chew them up and spit them into a test tube.
Speaker 6 (01:17:11):
And I'm like, I Am not catching a fucking grasshopper
with my mouth. Leave it to Johnny. You guys, they
fly and they jumped. So what I did is I
u my fucking forehead because I got a big forehead to.
Speaker 14 (01:17:21):
Just bunk grunks, fish flap heads with my head, stun them,
then eat them, then spit them in the tube. And
I've never seen production more fucking mad at me because
they're like, you're not supposed to do that, and I'm like, well,
you didn't tell.
Speaker 6 (01:17:36):
Me I wasn't supposed to do that. All you said
had here I had not.
Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
It was so bad.
Speaker 6 (01:17:46):
They were so bad. I didn't even win. That was
the worst part.
Speaker 14 (01:17:49):
I just I just fucked up my head, ate a
bunch of bugs, spit them into a tube, and I
still lost.
Speaker 6 (01:17:54):
Mark.
Speaker 19 (01:17:55):
Do you remember on Battle of the Sexiest Too, when
you were covered in the cockroaches and they made us
him up and spit him in a straw. I looked
at Coral, I said, I'm not fucking doing it, Like.
Speaker 17 (01:18:05):
Send me in, motherfuckers, I'm not doing it, But like,
did you fake it?
Speaker 10 (01:18:08):
Yes?
Speaker 17 (01:18:09):
Look how good it was.
Speaker 18 (01:18:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:18:13):
I was totally faked the whole fucking thing. So did she.
Speaker 19 (01:18:17):
And I was like, I will never stick a bug
in my mouth on any fucking show. I swear to
God fuck off. No balls, no eyeballs, none of that ship.
Speaker 6 (01:18:27):
Yes, bug free, bug free, I need a coryeball. All right.
Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
Next question, Oh, by the way, the uh Penn State
alum who had asked that question you were going on,
I mean we are.
Speaker 6 (01:18:40):
Here, we go fu Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:18:42):
Do you have an opinion on the guy being fired? Franklin,
James Franklin, do you have any.
Speaker 6 (01:18:47):
One of my thoughts on it? Yes? I mean, here's
the deal.
Speaker 14 (01:18:50):
He wasn't necessarily doing the program a ton of favors,
but he was the first one, the second one to
step in after Paterno, so I obviously had you know,
he saw spot in my heart.
Speaker 6 (01:19:01):
But college football is not what it used to be.
Speaker 14 (01:19:02):
You're never gonna see the days of the Paternals and
the Bobby Bowdens anymore.
Speaker 6 (01:19:06):
That coach for fifty you know years.
Speaker 14 (01:19:08):
You're gonna see guys that are gonna come and if
they don't improve the program, they're gone.
Speaker 6 (01:19:12):
It's unfortunate because I like Franklin, but you know, I
just it's not even the fucking coach.
Speaker 14 (01:19:18):
Penn State just needs to learn how to compete with
the SEC because if not, I am so glad we
didn't go.
Speaker 6 (01:19:24):
Sec is badass, dude.
Speaker 14 (01:19:26):
I we're never gonna win a national championship unless we
start drafting like that.
Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
So all right, next quite, we'll probably do uh three more,
We'll try depending on how long they are, maybe we'll
get to more because then, remember, we have a musical performance,
we have parting thoughts. We got a group photo at yet,
and then obviously we gotta get you guys out of here.
Speaker 6 (01:19:44):
Do the meant greets. Okay, ready, here we go. What's
your name? Hi, I'm Leslie. I'm from Jackson, Tennessee.
Speaker 16 (01:19:51):
This is a hot topic, so if you don't feel
comfortable answering, I completely respect it.
Speaker 18 (01:19:57):
What is your favorite cuss word?
Speaker 6 (01:20:01):
We're gonna start with Davis.
Speaker 21 (01:20:04):
I guess fuck, he.
Speaker 6 (01:20:07):
Said, I guess fuck. Oh I love it. I thought
you were gonna say rats.
Speaker 17 (01:20:12):
I feel like I cuss at all.
Speaker 21 (01:20:17):
I'm not perfect or nothing.
Speaker 6 (01:20:19):
Amber. What's yours?
Speaker 17 (01:20:21):
I would say funk or oh? I say oh ship
a lot.
Speaker 8 (01:20:24):
My dog has been saying it and I really need
to say good bad.
Speaker 6 (01:20:28):
Yeah, yeah, you're you're your daughter's here? John?
Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
Ay?
Speaker 6 (01:20:31):
What don't maybe earmups?
Speaker 18 (01:20:34):
Earmups?
Speaker 6 (01:20:45):
All right? Haven't been said Johnny, we know yours. Oh God,
I don't let me think.
Speaker 14 (01:20:50):
Ship, piss, fuck, kunk, cocksucker, motherfucker, ship, spark, turn and twat.
Speaker 2 (01:20:56):
There we go as as the great band like T
eighty two once saying, uh, all right, miss Cooley, you
invented the curse word for a lot of us as children.
Speaker 6 (01:21:08):
Fuck.
Speaker 19 (01:21:09):
Yeah, I mean it's such like it describes so many things,
like do you want to fuck?
Speaker 6 (01:21:14):
Fuck you? That's hot as fuck.
Speaker 17 (01:21:16):
I mean it's so many things.
Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
Yeah, all right, mister Brennan, now's your chance. Shucks, darn it, shucks,
darn it.
Speaker 6 (01:21:24):
Yeah, and true form.
Speaker 17 (01:21:30):
John's so sweet, y'all.
Speaker 6 (01:21:32):
Stop trying to mark. You want to mark? Do you
want to chime in? Can we do it? Cheer? Can
we do a cheers time? Can we do it? Can
we do a break? We need a uh sure? Does
want to break?
Speaker 14 (01:21:41):
Great?
Speaker 6 (01:21:42):
Should we have? John? Would you lead us in just
a quick prayer?
Speaker 1 (01:21:44):
Real quick?
Speaker 22 (01:21:45):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (01:21:45):
Yeah, oh that's prayer before we drink in the middle
of the curse question, yea earlier, we want to pray.
Let's give God back into this Lord.
Speaker 18 (01:21:56):
We thank you for a great time together here in Nashville.
Thank you for safe.
Speaker 23 (01:21:59):
Try for all these people, get them home safely. Bless
their families in Jesus.
Speaker 28 (01:22:03):
Name heym and drink and a cheers to that.
Speaker 6 (01:22:09):
So if you got a drink, please raise it up.
All right, thank you to Jesus, to Jesus, to Jesus,
and challenge mania. Cheerio may taste not too. I'll drink
to that, and and chapel roone and whoever you pray to.
Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Okay, so Country, We're gonna do two more questions and
then let's start to get Johnny's guitar.
Speaker 6 (01:22:41):
Mama count country road.
Speaker 8 (01:22:49):
That.
Speaker 6 (01:22:51):
Let's go took one away from Johnny. Sisters. All right,
We'll got a couple more questions and then we're gonna wait.
Your sister, Wait, she's over there. I'm sitting her seat.
Where is Naughty? We put an app out on Nanny?
Speaker 17 (01:23:06):
She went to.
Speaker 14 (01:23:09):
Okayone, we need to scour the local vape shop.
Speaker 6 (01:23:14):
I'm asking the wrong guy.
Speaker 14 (01:23:15):
Where do they sell modelos and vapes around here? Because
we will definitely find Nanny around there.
Speaker 6 (01:23:21):
How much did Derek have to drink? A few small beers?
A few small beers? Okay? Why are we drinking? Three pm?
On a three it's like one thirty. Oh oh, this
is still set to the east. Who doesn't, is it?
Speaker 14 (01:23:36):
Let me ask this, is it better to be drunk
at like eleven PM or like eleven am eleven am?
Speaker 6 (01:23:48):
Daytime?
Speaker 14 (01:23:49):
Drink that.
Speaker 6 (01:23:54):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:23:56):
Next up is a man who if a challenge breaks
out right now, he's the only one ready to play

the fact that like I've allowed them to share the
same option as me. But make no mistake, the challenge
would not even fucking be here if it was not

Speaker 20 (01:27:21):
And first of all, can I say the fact that
we have challengers and me and my wife we don't
know anyone who fucking watches the challenge other than us.
Speaker 6 (01:27:30):
I am so happy that I'm here with all y'all.
Speaker 20 (01:27:32):
So but honestly, I heard Scott or someone talking about
favorite quotes of the challenge and me and my wife.
Speaker 6 (01:27:41):
You know, I smoke a.
Speaker 18 (01:27:42):
Cigarette every now and then when I'm drinking.
Speaker 6 (01:27:44):
Uh, but Nannie, can you.
Speaker 14 (01:27:46):
Just try fucking doing a treadmill during an elimination with
a cigarette in your mouth.
Speaker 6 (01:27:50):
There's only one person that's ever done that. I like
to judge from the comfort on my couch.
Speaker 8 (01:27:56):
But uh.
Speaker 20 (01:27:57):
And one my favorite quote from challenge, I think Johnny
said this is Nanny, can you smell?
Speaker 6 (01:28:03):
Can you spell Marlboro? Can you? And I think she
wants he wants to you guys know that's a question, Nonny,
can you spell Marlboro M A R L B O
R getting She's not getting dropped into the water.
Speaker 19 (01:28:29):
From So if you guys are like remember like Gauntlet
one million years ago.
Speaker 17 (01:28:35):
So THEO Vaughn, everybody knows him.
Speaker 19 (01:28:39):
I had to write a mechanical bull, and he goes,
Katie's gonna write it like a marl bull.
Speaker 6 (01:28:47):
And I did and I won.
Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
John Johnny, let's start setting up your guitar and stuff. Alex,
I don't know if you want to come up here.
We just want to make sure his guitar is set.
We're gonna do the songs in a minute. My yeah,
all right, last question here, we'll ask two more. She
happens to be wearing a shirt I don't want Johnny
to see but go ahead with your question.
Speaker 6 (01:29:09):
Oh Johnny, oh.
Speaker 23 (01:29:16):
So my heart.
Speaker 6 (01:29:20):
Okay, sorry, I'm Kendall.
Speaker 27 (01:29:22):
I'm from Nashville, so I'm eighteen, and I don't feel
like there are many other young people who watch the
Challenge anymore. But I just want to say I love
the Vets so much and I always.
Speaker 6 (01:29:32):
Will love you.
Speaker 27 (01:29:33):
But do you just have anything to say to anybody
my age who still watches the Challenge?
Speaker 2 (01:29:42):
And she's right there at Dying Breed. We all love
the show because we watched when we were eighteen. But
I I just went and talked to a bunch of
eighteen year olds and Syracuse at at school last week,
and none of them watched any TV. We shouldn't be offended.
They don't even watch like any TV whatsoever. They don't
go to the movies, none of it. But we've got
had an eighteen year old Challenge fan. Any words of advice,
(01:30:02):
mister Challenge.
Speaker 14 (01:30:04):
I will say this with all due respect, I've met
the amount of people that I've met, and I'm talking
about like kids eight, nine, ten, eleven years old that
have actually grabbed their parents and been like, I want
to take a picture of bananas because their parents who
love the Challenge start having their child watch the show
(01:30:24):
at like three four years old instead of an iPad.
Speaker 6 (01:30:28):
They're like, no, you're gonna watch the Challenge. So I
will say this, my dad has never seen the show. Okay,
hell no, okay, and rightfully so.
Speaker 14 (01:30:39):
But what I'm saying is while a lot of younger
kids are watching The Love Islands and all this trash TV,
they really are out there, the parents out there that
have been following us since we started. You're raising your
kids right, because you're like, you know what, even though
(01:31:01):
it's like when I was little, my mom wouldn't let
me watch the Simpsons okay because she's like, this is
gonna damage your brain, but she would let me watch
Beavis and butt Head. So basically though, that's the same
parents out there. They're like, we're not gonna let you
love watch Love Island because that's trash.
Speaker 6 (01:31:17):
We're gonna let you watch.
Speaker 14 (01:31:18):
The Challenge because that is gonna stimulate your mind and
it's gonna introduce you to a lot of great people.
So how are we gonna appeal to them? I don't know,
Nanny any ideas.
Speaker 10 (01:31:28):
Every listen, every every challenge. I think whether you believe
it or not, teaches a small lesson. Every every challenge
I think, whether you believe it or not, teaches a
(01:31:50):
small lesson. Hey, So when you're raising your children, bring
them bring the challenge into their lives early.
Speaker 6 (01:31:58):
It will solve a lot of problem later in life.
Speaker 5 (01:32:01):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:32:02):
Hey, this is what I would say.
Speaker 14 (01:32:03):
This what I would I would tell you to tell
your friends who are like enjoy sports and like uh
situations where people beat each other's asses, to say, here,
watch the Derek versus Joss elimination.
Speaker 6 (01:32:22):
And if you like this, you'll like to challenge every
Wednesday night. Blah blah blah blah blah. I agree, Thank you.
All right, this is gonna be the last question. We're
plugging in Johnny's guitar. We're gonna do.
Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
We're gonna go quick, thank yous to everybody, and then
Johnny's gonna play a few songs for you guys. But
here's how we're gonna do that portion of the night,
because this guy's performing live where this is gonna say.
He's gonna play, but we're all gonna stand. We want
everybody up your standing, we want all you guys standing,
And that's how we're gonna do that. You don't have
to stand feel free. No, you don't have to, obviously
don't have to. But who wants to sit in a concert?
Speaker 1 (01:32:52):
My right?
Speaker 6 (01:32:52):
You can sick. Feel free to record.
Speaker 32 (01:32:54):
It all on your phones.
Speaker 2 (01:32:55):
Whatever you want to do, this that, whatever, have your
mom selfie, whatever you want to do.
Speaker 6 (01:32:59):
All right, last question, tonight, make a count Dawn. You
said I have the best for last. Don't worry Johnny,
look over here.
Speaker 3 (01:33:07):
Yeah, wait, what.
Speaker 6 (01:33:10):
Happened to you? John? Are you talking about the you? John?
Speaker 14 (01:33:12):
I just want to say you are right, because my
five years old I wasn't paying attention to.
Speaker 4 (01:33:17):
My five year old Nace was pissed because it's twenty
one and off and she could.
Speaker 6 (01:33:20):
Come see you, So you're I would have let her
use my fake ID. Okay, I wouldn't let your twenty
one year old niece used the fake ID.
Speaker 19 (01:33:30):
My sister is you're recently single, and my sister is
recently widowed, so she can.
Speaker 17 (01:33:35):
Give you more than seven minutes.
Speaker 6 (01:33:38):
Okay, you guys know, I'm very ok. You're in.
Speaker 1 (01:33:45):
You're in.
Speaker 14 (01:33:46):
Do you love complicated men with mommy issues and relationship
commitment issues and that likes to run like a fucking.
Speaker 6 (01:33:54):
Bowl in the red flash.
Speaker 17 (01:33:55):
Are you crazy?
Speaker 6 (01:33:56):
I love? Hold on? Do you I love?
Speaker 2 (01:33:58):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (01:33:59):
Ma'am? Do you have a W nine? Then it's off.
I'm sorry you can't. Do you have an arm sleeve
in and only fans? Yes? I will date you that. See.
Speaker 14 (01:34:12):
At least we all know why the challenge works. Now
it's problematic. Man, Hey, guys, just so everybody knows. I know,
we had trader talk a little bit earlier. The most
faith I now he's gonna be He's probably gonna.
Speaker 6 (01:34:22):

of the faithful just walked into the building. Give it
up for Pilot, p Fox, Pilot, p that Wait, where's pilot?
Where is he in the back?
Speaker 14 (01:34:34):

Speaker 6 (01:34:35):

Speaker 4 (01:34:35):
Here?
Speaker 6 (01:34:36):
Is Pete back there? He's a trader, Pete bring bring
him out? All right, you're hanging. You're hanging because you're

have fucking no clue. Everybody. I thought, you want Traders? Wait,

you j you thought that I was a trader from
the very beginning. I thought you read it on me
because I told you that we were doing our photo
shoot day.
Speaker 14 (01:35:46):
I was like, I think it's Marcus and Larsa because
they're a couple and one of them is a trader.
Speaker 6 (01:35:51):
And then the next I was murdered. I was like,
Pete told them I really obviously I wasn't. Yeah, that
was that was a very good time.
Speaker 1 (01:35:57):

Speaker 14 (01:35:58):
Had had Pete accepted the bucking being a trader? I think,
I literally think, had you agreed to be a trader.
Speaker 24 (01:36:08):
I disagree because that's I truly. It was a lot
of back and forth in my head. I thought it
was a perfect play by them recruiting me to them
throw me under the bus to gain all credibility to them,
be able to push the end.
Speaker 6 (01:36:21):
That's why he's a pilot. That's why he's a pilot.
