(04:03):
producers in the house. Challenge gods. If you will, road
Rules Gods, if you will, you'll hear from some of them.
You'll also hear from some special cameos wishing Road Rules
a happy thirtieth. So, without further ado, live from the
Bray Improv Road Brusse.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Give it up for scott Yanger.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
They got fire.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Fuck what's up?
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Brn, You guys can applaud what's up?
Speaker 5 (04:35):
Ra?
Speaker 6 (04:38):
Oh my god? How many road Rules fans do we
have in the house? Thirty years guys, thirty years I
haven't I actually you guys, like the pilot.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Was that good?
Speaker 6 (04:54):
I was pretty good, right, I told Scott within two
days I love trying.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Go going, wait, wait, wait, just let's do this again.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
What yeah? And they grab themselves and they grab.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Oh, guys, make some noise. Thank you guys for coming
out tonight. Make some noise please, guys. We have such
a special day plan for you, guys. I know road
Rules with thirty years ago. We have such a walk
down memory Lane. There's people.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
There's actually a cast here that is only missing one
cast member, Kendall.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Kendell's only one not here.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
Yeah, yeah, Kendall's still bitter at me from the All Stars,
I think, but no, So we have one cast.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Everybody's here. We've got people here from leave five or
six casts. We have people here who helped make the show.
Make some noise for them. Yeah, people absolutely who helped
create this show, who continue to create the challenge, Make
some noise for the challenge. Who here has been to
a Challenge Mania Live show before it makes some noise.
All right, So this one is gonna hopefully feel a
(05:56):
little bit different and a little bit even more special
because today, as Mark alluded to, we're celebrating thirty years
of Road Rules. We've got some great video packages we
put together for you guys, We've got some special guests.
We've got some behind the scenes people are gonna come out.
We've got so many guests that we're gonna bring them
out all at once. We normally do intros for all
of them. We're gonna do them all at once. But
what I want you guys to start thinking about one
(06:18):
thing we are gonna do that we always do here
a Challenge Many Live is at the end of the show,
we're gonna turn over to you guys for questions.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
So start thinking about your questions. Okay, make some noise.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
So if I could real quick, I have my best
friends in the house, Lou Harsh and Jeff Horton. Thanks
for being here. But I will say this fun fact
for you guys. This is a true fact. Thirty years
ago when they premiered Road Rules, it was the exact
same day that the Clueless movie premiered, so that is
(06:47):
like a pop culture nostalgia like.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Adam Baum as If and whatever.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
But I went, I actually got to go in Malibu
to the Clueless premiere and Chris Hardwick was there, Jenny
McCarthy and all the all the actors, and that was
the first time that I was like, man, I feel
like I'm now in like the MTV crowd, you know
what I'm saying, So like it was such a special time,
but so many surprises for you today.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
I actually, uh, I had some fun people from the.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
Past wish us a happy thirtieth not only a few
cast members from the Challenge obviously my best friends, but
I had some nineties icons, Like there was such big
shows in the ninety you guys ever seen like nine
o two one zero or like Full House Number, Full House, Clueless,
the movie right, yeah, do you guys remember the band
Sugar Ray. So there's some fun, fun surprises video package
(07:41):
that I put together that I think you guys are
gonna love.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
All right, So we're not gonna play that one just
in case we confuse the booth. No, we are gonna
play a video package to kick off the show before
we bring out our guests. Here. Uh, we want you
guys to take a look. This is a tribute to
road roles. Here we go, and if you see someone
(08:08):
you recognize, make some noise for him.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
Hey Shady, Rachel.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Mhet, Carlos Shilling, Mark and Allison, welcome to Rod Rules.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
Glad you made it was finally starting.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Look at that guy, cool haircut.
Speaker 7 (08:54):
Right said, yeah, you a strip made, so I had
to take the hell out of the gallas right away.
Speaker 6 (09:09):
She hooked up the mayor. You guys werener that she
hooked up the mayor.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Look out the big clown on the town, right, man,
you're opening up for the man.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
Well, Ben Haley, moment the girl turn out.
Speaker 7 (09:39):
Kate and Mark, it really ain't had.
Speaker 8 (09:42):
So much common I swear those two.
Speaker 9 (09:45):
Are like Bess and Flathead Wade's world did cracks me up.
Speaker 7 (09:49):
We just like I think, had the best time.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
If I'm uh squirrel on.
Speaker 7 (09:52):
The strip together, we're together at twenty four hours to day.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
You know everyone's gonna up the guard down the show.
Speaker 10 (09:58):
I'm having a tough times.
Speaker 7 (09:59):
Ca Up. You won't talk to anybody, and that's the
way he works. You can't fear my faces.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
I'm always being difficult with that.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
I don't know why.
Speaker 5 (10:10):
I guess I just get bored or something.
Speaker 7 (10:13):
Smack in the face and I'd rather just see a
laugh because I'm afraid if I smack in the face,
I can't run this.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
I've seen my parents hars was like the biggest shock.
Speaker 6 (10:59):
Well thirty years, guys, give it up. Thirty years. What's
(11:21):
crazy about that is I remember so after I did
the pilot that you guys watched, I remember I moved
to LA and you gotta remember there was no cell phones,
there was no GPS or anything, and so we did
that without a GPS. It was purely maps, which was
fucking insane.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
But I remember I was in an apartment.
Speaker 6 (11:39):
I just drove out from University of Florida to LA
and I was I made a list of like part
time jobs I could get right, like I remember, it
was like cheesecake factory, waiter and all this stuff.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
And as I made that Listen was walking out.
Speaker 6 (11:51):
My home phone because we had home phones back then,
rang and it was John Murray and Mary Elle's Bunim
on a on a speaker call with me the the
previous you know, big wigs at Peter Murray and they said, hey,
Mark you know, I know we told you that this pilot,
if you did the pilot, you wouldn't get into the series.
But you know the people in New York, you know,
they didn't really approve the guy they wanted to use,
(12:12):
So would you do it? So I literally remember making
that call. I hung up, I called my parents. I
was so excited. And uh, thirty years later, guys, thank
you for always being a fan of the challenge at
road Rules and so amazing.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
And if you've ever eaten at the Cheesecake Factory in
La and thought, man, that waiter sucked, where were you? Mark?
Come on?
Speaker 6 (12:32):
What is crazy is when I got back from Road Rules,
because full transparency, we weren't paid like thousands of dollars,
Like I did get a part time job at the
cheesecake factory. Hey while the show was airing, And I
remember and Julie loved this. I remember the Kardashians coming
in and I'm waiting on them. I remember, uh who else?
Chili from TLC came in. I waited on her and
(12:54):
They're like, aren't you on a show on MTV.
Speaker 11 (12:56):
I'm like, yeah, you know, just make I'm surprised she
doesn't need a Chili's of course, of course, all right,
But anyway, anyway, thank you guys for always following us
and being a fan base.
Speaker 6 (13:09):
And I will say this, when I ever mentioned road
Rules to anyone, whether it's an adult who's my age
or someone that's a little younger that's watched with their parents,
there is an emotional and physical reaction of happiness, and
I think I hope we provided that for you guys.
And it was just amazing. The time was great, the
nostalgia was so fun. And again back in the day
(13:29):
they would air road Rules and then play it fifty
six times on the week.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
It was ridiculous.
Speaker 6 (13:34):
Miss we got a special day if you Scott, Let's
break some people out. Yeah, hit the music, brother and
we're gonna bring on everybody all at once. We're gonna
do it in a chronological order of Road Rules season
representing season five.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Everybody, road Rules Northern Trail. Give it up for Tara McDonald, everybody,
wherever you want to.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
We've got two people from her own Rules Dan I'm
you know her from the Brain Candy podcast. Give it
up for the gorgeous Susie, My Sir Susie.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
All the way from Alabama, give it up for the.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Challenge All Stars oone Keith, Hey, Keith.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Now, road Rules didn't always take place in an RV.
It used to also be on a boat.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
From Road Rules Semester at Seas season eight, give it
up for California years old for ronniaup board two.
Speaker 12 (14:37):
Hee hee.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
All right.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
At season nine, road Rules injected a little bit of
maximum velocity. You guys said, no, she's gonna be here.
But give it up for Holly Bretson. Everybody, Hollay, that's a.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Surprise, guy, She's a surprise.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Now back on road Rules Bequest, they were competing for
the Hints reward of a Suzuki Grandfatara. Don't all a
plot at once, but give it up for somebody who
keeps it Coolie every Day, formerly known as Doyle Katie Kola.
Speaker 13 (15:13):
Kenny.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
All right, Now this is the season where we have
everyone but one. We're about to start bringing out people
from season eleven. Campus Crawl who here went to college?
Makes some noise and even if you didn't, it's okay.
All right, give it up for the LGBTQ icon, who
just so happened to just win the Challenge. Season forty,
(15:37):
give it up for Rachel Robertshachel, Yes, Rachel. Now, she
just won the Challenge last year, and this guy won
four of them, but he won him like fifteen years ago.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Give it up for mister Durrell.
Speaker 6 (15:56):
Tell due, there he is.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
If you can find it out.
Speaker 14 (16:08):
There, he is.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
All right. Next up, Speaking of LGBTQ icons, this guy
made his triumphant return on The Challenge All Star Season five.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Came in.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Runn her up.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
He's sassy, he's shady. Give it up for Shane Landro
All right, we got another surprise for you. I give
it up for Chilling Athletic. This guy was reliable on
the ARV and a memorable part of the Unforgettable chempas croadcast.
Give it up for Eric Jones, everybody, Eric. And then last,
(16:43):
but certainly not least. Yeah, this one went on after
this season, which she left early to appear on a
little season called The Gauntlet, where she had such an
iconic performance that she has forever known as the Gauntlet Queen.
Give it up up for Sarah Grason. All right, we
(17:08):
got we got one more seat down there. All right, Last,
but certainly not least, this woman competed for the Handsome Reward.
Of a super ruin president w RX. You guys know
her anymore. You guys know her from her Tina's thoughts
on Twitter. You guys know her from being alongside Amram
(17:29):
and Kerosey, but you know her.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
That's one of the vegles to.
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Look at that seat.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Look at that seat, guys.
Speaker 6 (17:39):
What's first of all, thank you guys for being here. Guys,
give it up for the group. Please.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
You gotta keep him pertin.
Speaker 6 (17:45):
I think one of the things that's most special about
being in a group. I've always said it's the best
fraternity surrarity you could ever be in. But I haven't
seen some of these people in a day, week, month, year.
But when we all get together, we don't skip a beat.
Every one is like best friends.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Again.
Speaker 6 (18:01):
I think that shows the power of what this experience
of road Rules has done to all of us, You
know what I mean? Rake some noise for this group.
By the way, Rachel, do you still talk to some
of your cast members.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
From the original?
Speaker 4 (18:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (18:15):
I do, definitely all of them us.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
All right, how about this, one of you guys, take
your phone out. We're gonna do a little thing for Kendall.
We want everybody in the audience on the count of three,
We're gonna give you.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
We love you, Kendle. Okay, how about that? Who's gonna
get ready?
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Rachel? You're ready? When your phone I'm not gonna say okay,
I'm gonna rebiss from that. All we got right, No,
you're just gonna record.
Speaker 15 (18:44):
I talked to her.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Guys, if this was a mission, you would have all
failed press record on the count of three, one, two, three,
we miss your candle. All right, let's get to some questions.
All right, I want to ask the audience question because
someone here, Yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Fucking boomerang not a boomerang a video? Who needs a
super woo anyway?
Speaker 15 (19:12):
Take two?
Speaker 3 (19:14):
All right, one more time?
Speaker 15 (19:15):
Take your phone out to be way better than take one.
Speaker 6 (19:17):
We miss you? You're ready a ready? We miss you Kendle?
On three, one, two three, we miss you.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
I don't really. Let's go all right, I'm gonna give
the audience a chance to win one of these stazzi
are R thirty rotoral thirty hat prizes. Already who thinks
that they know these people better than they know themselves?
Because I have one question and if you raise your hand,
you better think you know the answer to this question
one of these people.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
I'm not making this up. Can I preface this if
you think it'll make it better. I think it will
make it better. Guys, we all talk to each other
and share information like we've been brothers and sisters for years,
So anything and everything is on the table. So private moments,
weird moments, boyfriend's girlfriend. So with that said, he's got
(20:07):
a great question, Scottie, that you're gonna start, and some
of you.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
One person did something today that this is the reason
you didn't allow this even on the RV by the way, right,
So that's true one of these people, Katie.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
All right, let's go to the next I'll finish that.
So Katie this morning, as we were leaving the hotel,
she goes, everyone.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Hush, knock you out in front of everyone.
Speaker 6 (20:38):
Hush, hush, hush, Katie. Katie this morning, as she was
leaving the hotel, she goes, I need five more minutes.
I just clogged up the toilet. See, she said, not
in the best way. So if any guys were thinking, Katie,
you got a free hat, Scott continue on.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
All right, let's go to Rachel. Okay, ask you this question.
Speaker 16 (21:01):
All right?
Speaker 1 (21:02):
When people bring up road roles to you, not the challenge.
Obviously you went on to win a few challenges. Make
some noise for that.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
When people bring up.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
Road rules to you, what's the first thing moment memory
that they mentioned to you? What's your when you were
in that band, the Beatles.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Kind of thing.
Speaker 17 (21:20):
I mean, to be honest, not many people come up
and just ask me about road rules.
Speaker 15 (21:26):
It's so long ago now, but.
Speaker 17 (21:28):
I will say that, you know, uh, probably my relationship
with the woman at the time that I was with
I was kind of on and on and off, and
I think that was a very real storyline that I
honestly think if it was shown again today it would
be equally as intense to watch.
Speaker 15 (21:47):
And then my threesome.
Speaker 17 (21:50):
So I think between that was on a challenge, I
think between those two, oh yeah, you know, those are
probably the things.
Speaker 15 (21:58):
So I had a really great time on the show.
It's basically what.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
I'm saying now, Veronica, do you want me to ask
a follow up about the three Summer No, Well, give
it up for Veronica.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Everybody with Veronica, we happened. Since we happen to have two.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Wheels on the tricycle here, let me ask you, do
you do you you know, concur with Rachel. Do people
mention that glorious hot tub event?
Speaker 12 (22:27):
I think definitely people ask about that. But for me,
probably the most asked question would be the Julie oh yeah,
oh yeah, which is challenge.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Related Julie Stofer, Julie Stoffer Real Worlds, New Orleans.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
And if you watch that, you honestly were in a
fit of panic, right, you were truly petrified.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Yes, this is when you were almost murdered on national television.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
I saw that with my own eyes. It was not fun.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
She was down, only petrified, And you gotta love It's
the only almost murder that like once a year. MTV
is like wacky moments. Here's number six, and you're like,
there's five worse than murder. I want to so raise
your hand. If you are someone this falls, you fall
into this category. So all you guys ended up obviously
on the RV, ended up on road rules. Did any
(23:21):
of you have and it's okay to say it now,
did any of you guys have Real world fomo? Did
any of you guys? Okay, Katie, let's pass the mic
to Katie. So Katie, go ahead, explain.
Speaker 18 (23:31):
I specifically said in my audition tape. Do not put
me on road Rules.
Speaker 7 (23:35):
I'm not athletic.
Speaker 19 (23:37):
I would like to live in a very pretty house
with attractive people.
Speaker 18 (23:40):
And I didn't get that.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Who else raised their hands? Sarah? Tina passed the mic
to Sarah. It's for a second, Tina, only a second.
Speaker 20 (23:52):
She's like, no, is it on?
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Oh yeah?
Speaker 15 (23:56):
I didn't ever watch road Rules and did not know
what it was. So yeah, I thought I was auditioning
for the real world only.
Speaker 18 (24:03):
And they're like, well, we only want you for real.
Speaker 20 (24:05):
I was like, that's Rod. Is that the one in
the Armies.
Speaker 19 (24:18):
Yeah, I definitely wanted But in hindsight, I'm so glad,
Oh my god, because I have a lot of friends
obviously from the real and they're like, oh, it's a
horrible experience or it sucks.
Speaker 18 (24:29):
Actually we got to travel, and I mean, yeah.
Speaker 19 (24:31):
No one wants to live in an RV.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
But and what was the thing you said? The reason
you want to do is because you're not athletic.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah, And they were like, we're gonna call this woman
every year for twenty years to drop out of planes
and helicopters until she smashes her face on the.
Speaker 6 (24:48):
OK, my favorite phone call from was from Katie after
All Stars five and she goes, Mark, I fucking really
tried this time. She goes, she goes, I did, She goes, wait,
do you see it? She's like, I was strategizing, I
was trying to do stuff I never did. She's like,
I really really am proud of myself. So yeah, Katie,
not everyone's athletic. Not everyone, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 19 (25:11):
My favorite is when Ronica and I drove off this
cliff and an ATV and DJ's like, who's gonna drive?
Speaker 18 (25:17):
It brought us like me, she won't fucking push the gags.
Speaker 7 (25:23):
I do.
Speaker 17 (25:23):
I do think that for the record, everyone should give
Veronica and Katie a huge round of applause, right yes, og,
because the two of you put on an absolute master
class in the challenge and what it means to be
a real challenger and how you take people out with
their ego and they literally had their way with the
(25:46):
Era three and Era four people, and watching them go
through that show was like the reason that this show
is so huge, because there are storylines like the two
of you coming together and make getting that done.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Katie, who are you saying? What newer is it?
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Devin, somebody, somebody, I want you to tell it.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
One of the newer cast members was telling you and
Veronica on All Stars five, like he'll help you.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Don't worry, We'll keep you down.
Speaker 18 (26:12):
Devin told me he was going to kiss me around.
Speaker 12 (26:14):
Yeah, devil, Devin told Katie and I don't.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Worry, We're going to keep you around.
Speaker 18 (26:19):
Like week three.
Speaker 6 (26:21):
I'm like, okay, yeah sure, and veronicay, kay said, brother,
you're a fucking extra on my TV show right now.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
You're a guest, so you're welcome.
Speaker 7 (26:31):
To know.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
So let Veronica pass that mic down to Susie Meister,
because can we pull up that Susie Pick booth? Can
we pull up that Susie Pick Because some of you
guys did have road rules aspirations, right the thing I
texted you? Did you get that picture? If not, it's okay.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
If you have it, great, So, Susie, so you tell
the story about how you met Mark Long when you
were young and impressable.
Speaker 18 (26:51):
Yeah, listen, when I was in high school.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
There we go.
Speaker 16 (26:55):
No, I mean that it was like nineteen ninety six,
nineteen ninety five, right after his season.
Speaker 18 (27:03):
I knew they were going to.
Speaker 16 (27:04):
Be making an appearance, and I was like, I got
to meet him and Timmy and I am going to
kiss them, and uh, they were so kind and lovely.
And then I was like, I need to get on
that show so I can kiss them more.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
And for those of you guys who don't know the story,
you in fact wrote Timmy Beggy a letter correct first
fan letter, okay.
Speaker 18 (27:30):
And I was like, do you dar Timmy? I love
you so much.
Speaker 20 (27:34):
B b b b b oh, I need to break in.
Speaker 13 (27:38):
I was actually dating to me.
Speaker 15 (27:40):
Oh, finally have that letter framed on his wall.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Wow, that was love.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
That was like a slop love that was sliding into
a DM in nineteen ninety six, folks que Susan.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
He was postally showing up in her dams.
Speaker 18 (28:03):
I did not see that copy.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
Imagine you're looking at your boyfriend's phone. You got Susie
a THEMS. Imagine having Susie's letter to your boyfriend on
your fridge.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
Well, you envisioned it. You made that happen manifest that show.
Speaker 16 (28:18):
And I really I have such affection for Road Rules
and I do feel like we're different and better a
little bit. And I always telling you how there was
a challenge back when it was real World versus road Rules.
There was a challenge and I maybe one of you
were on it where they had to keep a ball
moving overnight.
Speaker 18 (28:40):
This embodies what is so great about road rulers. Those
real worlders try to keep that ball moving like just regular.
Speaker 16 (28:51):
These geniuses put it in a plastic bag and put
it near the air conditioner and.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
It just moved on its in June.
Speaker 16 (29:01):
Yeah, this ingenuity cut off through the air conditioner, like
we would have lost Hey, they would have cut it off,
like they could just turned it off.
Speaker 14 (29:12):
I can't believe.
Speaker 15 (29:13):
Oh, yeah, we have the producer here.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
She could be like Scavenger Hunts are fantastic.
Speaker 18 (29:17):
No, they probably thought it was.
Speaker 12 (29:18):
Really good story, so they went with it, But yeah,
they could have.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
I will say this.
Speaker 6 (29:24):
I will say this, So after my original Road Rules,
they hadn't picked up season two yet, so it aired
for like a year, and you know how many times
they repeated that, like fifty times a week. So I
remember going to the what was the concert B ninety
ninety four concert in Pittsburgh, and I remember I was
there with my original cast.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
I do remember meeting her vaguely. That just made me
feel better.
Speaker 6 (29:46):
I don't remember, but I remember they had the road
Rules one autograph line and the Goo Goo Dolls autograph line,
and we fucking crushed the Google Dolls that day. So
I was like, I was like, people are really liking this.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
So it was it was a special moment.
Speaker 6 (30:05):
I'm glad.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
I'll tell you who loves the Googa Dolls. Clearly this
woman who wants.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Nothing to do with Mark high school best friend, Emily.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Yeah, shout out to Emily. We've got Emily here. We're
gonna writ I'm kidding. Uh Okay. Did anyone else have
what I described as real world fomo? Anybody else? You
guys were all Tina?
Speaker 21 (30:23):
You did?
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 15 (30:24):
I told them I don't do elements.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
You don't do bugs.
Speaker 6 (30:27):
I don't do outside.
Speaker 15 (30:30):
Conditioning.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Whether what count?
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Tina? What did your mom say when you came home
from Road Rose. What did she call you when you
walked in and just covered in bugs?
Speaker 4 (30:36):
J me, girl?
Speaker 15 (30:39):
What'd you know out there?
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Tina had to me cracking up last night. I disappointed you, mom.
I definitely give me one yucky give me one yucky yucky.
Speaker 15 (30:51):
Yucky girl. That's too much.
Speaker 14 (30:56):
Eric.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Let's pass the mic down to Eric. All right, make
some noise for Eric here, Eric guys, first timer, first timer.
Speaker 14 (31:02):
I think something that was cool is on our trip
we were paired up with we were Campus Crawl and
you had Vegas, and we went to Vegas and our
challenge was you had to like infiltry infiltry, so we
did something lame.
Speaker 6 (31:16):
Shane and I made some.
Speaker 22 (31:17):
Breaking matches like oh, we're like photography free for them,
and we thought our mission had died. Meanwhile, you get
like some vixen, you get two vixens. Who I get
Steve and like, not necessarily he was he was probably
easy target. But at the end of the day, I
wasn't jealous of Real.
Speaker 14 (31:35):
World because we had Rachel who handcuffed Steve to a
bathtub in his own his own little sweet So I
think Rogers definitely kicked ass on that one.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Yeah, and then you hooked up with Rochelle in the
hot tub later whoa.
Speaker 15 (31:50):
What at that?
Speaker 1 (31:51):
What what?
Speaker 23 (31:51):
What?
Speaker 17 (31:52):
There was a lot of crossover at the time, like
our season, especially with Vegas.
Speaker 15 (31:58):
It was almost felt like one big cat.
Speaker 6 (32:01):
But I think I think that was the beauty of
it for the fans though, I mean, you guys, love
like one of the things I've noticed is you guys
love when you see different cast members together from different seasons, right.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
You're like, how is that possible?
Speaker 6 (32:12):
But I think that's one of the special moments is
when they used to combine a Real World scenario with
the road Rules that they're like, oh my god, their
worlds are colliding. This is my childhood, my generation. So
I love that as well as just a viewer being
at home.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
It was like today when you're watching a Marvel movie
and like Spider Man walks into Captain America's room and
you're like, that's how it felt when.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Real World walked into Road Rules Revice versa, go ahead, Shane.
Speaker 13 (32:35):
I was gonna say, first off, thank you guys for
coming out very much. We would not exist if it
wasn't for people who care, so thank you. But then
so little backstory, which is and so I'm asking you
a question, Susie. This has always stuck out to me
as a viewer. I loved the show Road Rules, and
when Susie and Piggy walked out in the same swimsuit,
(32:58):
I was like, what are the oughts that these two
women from different places in the country are gonna wear
the same It was like first episode, this.
Speaker 18 (33:09):
Was actually Christina and Piggy.
Speaker 13 (33:13):
Never mind, I have a terrible memory.
Speaker 6 (33:14):
No, thanks, Shane, thank you, je No, I love it.
Speaker 13 (33:20):
As a cast member, I was always curious. Did they
give them the clothes like a pile?
Speaker 22 (33:26):
Yes?
Speaker 18 (33:27):
Yeah, it isn't as like magical as it seems.
Speaker 6 (33:31):
Guys, speaking of listen, speaking of early Road Rules rulers,
can we talk about the glow ups some of these
cast members have had. Do you guys remember Darrell on
his first Road Rules? I mean, look at look at
the glow up that this guy. Yeah right, I mean, ka,
Katie Doyle could play high school right now, put a
(33:51):
backpack on her. I mean, Veronica, Susie looks like she
just was in a soap opera. I mean, it's amazing.
Tina not yucky, and they're hot.
Speaker 18 (34:01):
These gales are hot.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
But let me ask.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
The same.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
So obviously, as you guys made some noise before we
talked about Veronica and Katie season.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
Marcus given everybody else they're flowers, but we got to
give Mark some flowers too. Yeah, godfather, I mean he
comes out here and from Alabama. How Mark is looking?
We call that casket shark. You know what I'm saying,
he ready, Mark is clean. Yes, that's casket shark right,
(34:33):
Bury me in this suit, Bury me in this suit.
We actually just bought a casket from Mark.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
No, for those of you guys, a lot of you
guys have already appeared on the Challenge all Stars.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
Make some noise for the Challenge All Stars.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
But for those of you guys who have it so,
if my memory serves me, so gall the Queen, you
have yet to appear on the Challenge All Stars, which
I think is crazy because you're you aren't iconic even
in one season. You are one of the most iconic
one season Challengers of all time.
Speaker 15 (35:04):
Sarah definitely is.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
I say she's number Eric, you never did you ever
do a challenge? Originally yes, the Sex Side.
Speaker 14 (35:12):
Yeah, and our show hadn't even aired yet, so people
were like, oh, you're part of Crewe and we.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
We actually we sent Eric homb Varrier.
Speaker 6 (35:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Well honestly, yeah, if you had told Susie your crue,
you had had a better shot with her.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
I don't like that.
Speaker 18 (35:26):
Hey, we've been Mary for a long time now.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Holly as well, right, no, yeah, and then Tara as well,
one and done and Stusie of course, two time champ, right,
two time champ, four time finalists. So I want to
ask all you guys, I want to go down and
I would love to gauge because we've got the Godfather
(35:50):
Mark Long here make some noise, obviously, one of one
of the people who helped All Stars come to be.
We've got some people in the audience who might still
make All Stars the way it is today makes noise
for them.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
But Tara, would you let's pass a mic down to Tara.
Speaker 13 (36:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:05):
So, oh you were so you were an alternate on
a season I was.
Speaker 23 (36:08):
I was an alternate on the one in Panama. What
number was that, guys, Three? I was an alternate on three.
I got to go to Panama because it was COVID protocols,
So we just hung out for the week at the
resort and drank.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
It was great. Now there's no COVID, They're like, we'll
call you if we need you.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
Yeah, because I was also an alternate.
Speaker 23 (36:29):
I was also an alternate on Challenge forty.
Speaker 20 (36:33):
Oh oh, and I did not get to go to Vietnam, No,
which was bogus.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
But you usually but you'd still be open. Yeah, you're clearly.
Oh yeah, all.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Right, well, so so again, who here in the audience?
So Legacy Tara on a challenge? Also make so much
for that? Watch back, pass the mic down to Susie. Susie,
You're someone who I would have thought we would have
seen by now what tell us? I mean like, would
you like to do all that? Yeah?
Speaker 16 (37:13):
Because I so treasure all the memories and fun that
we had on the show. But I still feel like
I've guessed the tank. I had to create life. You know,
I made a son, and I created our.
Speaker 18 (37:28):
Podcast brain Candy. You got a PhD. But I'm like,
what's the gal got to do?
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Well, whatever you have.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
To do, start doing it.
Speaker 18 (37:39):
Crew members, Do I have to marry?
Speaker 3 (37:41):
Yeah, because I'll do it.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
Who here wants to see the beautiful Susie meister? Honestly,
and by the way, this isn't a contest. It's not
like whoever gets the most applause is gonna get cast?
But honestly, who knows? Maybe it is Holly. Yes, let's
pass the mic down to Holly. So has it ever
been approached to you? Have you ever thought about tom
(38:04):
early on.
Speaker 15 (38:05):
It was we've been kind of crazy and busy.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
And yeah, making babies and How many babies do you have?
Speaker 6 (38:12):
How many kids?
Speaker 13 (38:13):
So my dot we have two.
Speaker 16 (38:15):
My daughter is now only a year older or a
year younger than I was when I did this.
Speaker 6 (38:22):
Wow, wow, really crapy?
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Yeah, do you guys have so who are you married to?
And who do you have children?
Speaker 7 (38:29):
So?
Speaker 13 (38:29):
I am married to Chadwick from Susie Season season?
Speaker 3 (38:33):
Yeah? Did you guys meet on Battle the Seasons?
Speaker 6 (38:36):
We know we were married by the time we did
Battle of the Season.
Speaker 24 (38:39):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
We met at a.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
Party here at the end.
Speaker 6 (38:44):
It was our premier party and that was July seventh,
and we were married May nineteenth.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Wow.
Speaker 13 (38:51):
And it has been twenty five years.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
Yeah, so real quick, because while you haven't going to
ask you because you are so much so you've peered
the Maximum Velocity season, which of course is also the
season that brought us mister THEO Vaughan right, and I'd
be remiss him.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
We are in a comedy club here.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
He is obviously someone who made his way through the
comedy club world, but now is a gigantic podcaster.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
Some say he swung the election. Who knows what's it
been like?
Speaker 1 (39:19):
Because I mean, you know, you're not the only one,
you guys a lot of you guys have played along
the way, whether it's not road rules or the challenge
with people who went on to gigantic movie careers, political careers.
Sean Duffy went from real world to now he makes
the road rules. You know you can bow it, you
can do it. But but so, so let me ask
(39:40):
your impression of seeing the gigantic rise of this guy
that you traveled the country with.
Speaker 15 (39:44):
It does not surprise me at all.
Speaker 9 (39:47):
Like, I mean, THEO is just one of those people
that never cared what anybody else thought, for better or worse.
Speaker 6 (39:55):
I think you get to a point where you.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Just have to be yourself and people are gonna like
it or people are gonna hate it.
Speaker 15 (40:02):
And yeah, it doesn't surprise me at all.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
He's just one of those people.
Speaker 6 (40:09):
So one of the things that stood out about THEO.
So we did Battle the Sexes, which THEO Eric Niece
and Dan Setzler had an alliance, and we ran it
from top to bottom. We ended up you know, the
winning and all that stuff. But I remember one day THEO.
I said THEO, we're about to do the vote. He goes,
do I have thirty minutes to take a bath? And
(40:30):
I said I don't know, and he goes, he goes,
I need thirty minutes. I'm gonna go in the bath
and play some Wiener Olympics. And I was like, I
was like, what is that? He goes, you know, he goes,
I sit on my back, he goes, I pop it
out of the water, and he goes, I just play
with it. And I'm like, this guy is so fucking weird.
(40:50):
But nowadays, like Scott said, he's shifting election. Nowadays, that's
who's gonna tell me who to vote for? No, but
you guys food when I said Sean, I mean you
don't like Sean Duffy. How about this, I'm gonna give
you guys an opportunity.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
If there was someone else from the real world Boston
that could be the head of transportation right now, who
would you guys want it to be?
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Y right, where's my man Cyrus?
Speaker 6 (41:15):
In the crowd?
Speaker 3 (41:16):
We got Cyril he at? So where's he at?
Speaker 1 (41:20):
Today? Is today's is so today's obviously about road rules.
But we have in the house some people from the
Real World franchise who wanted to support so give it
up for.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
Cyrus is here. So so you know, Cyrus is a Cyrus,
I think you're like a month older than me.
Speaker 6 (41:38):
Yeah, something like that. So this is a comedy club.
We got you a casket too, So I said, I said,
you know, Cyrus is so old. You guys remember the
show pinp My Ride. I said, Cyrus is so old.
He did the first episode, but it was called Pip
My Covered Wagon. That's how old. In fact, Cyrus is
(41:59):
so Cyrus, I'm just roasting you again. Listen, it gets better, Cyrus, Shane,
don't start me on you. I got some in my
pocket for you. Cyrus is so old?
Speaker 4 (42:14):
How old is he?
Speaker 6 (42:14):
Right that back in the day he didn't have an
only fans link to send. He actually had to go
to parks and show him as dick. Thank you, guys,
Thank you very much, Thank you comedy guys.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
Comedy. In addition to Cyrus, you may have recognized her
walking to her seat from Real World Hawaii. Amiyah's here.
If you were to love my joke, if you didn't
have a crush on either Amaya or Colin, you're lying
one of them. Yeah, he couldn't be here today. Also,
but shouts to tech. We love tech. So speaking of
(42:50):
meeting people in the park and showing them mirror dick, right,
of course, I want to ask you guys a question.
Speaker 4 (42:55):
We'll do it.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
We'll do it like a way where maybe it's not ashore,
but okay, so everybody raise your hand right nowlet's has.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
Like, never have I ever kind of thing? Okay, So
I'm gonna ask a question.
Speaker 1 (43:05):
And if you either did not do this or you
want to plead the fifth, feel free to put your
hand down. But if you do fall in this category,
keep that hand up. Keep your hand up. If on
your season of road Rules you ever had sex in
the r V, if you had sex in the r V, So, Susie, Susie, Susie,
(43:25):
let's pass the mike down of Susie. So it sounds like, Susie, So, Susie,
you were having sex with cast members in the r
V or what?
Speaker 18 (43:32):
Well, first of all, it's my second season. It was
road Rules, Yours Revenge?
Speaker 6 (43:36):
Yeah, which cast member was it?
Speaker 18 (43:39):
It was a member?
Speaker 6 (43:40):
Oh yeah, Susie's like, let's just skip the cast wait
and go right to the crew.
Speaker 3 (43:46):
Is that your boom?
Speaker 6 (43:50):
Tara?
Speaker 3 (43:50):
You also had your hand up? Who's with?
Speaker 6 (43:53):
Who is it?
Speaker 3 (43:54):
Miss okay.
Speaker 6 (43:58):
Dance?
Speaker 25 (43:58):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (44:01):
Sarah sat their hand up? Now, that they're down a Rachel.
Speaker 15 (44:06):
Mine was on top of it.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
I can't have to get that specific because no, my
my girlfriend.
Speaker 17 (44:15):
At the time, came out to visit and they like,
let us have a whole you know, like together.
Speaker 13 (44:20):
Yeah, all right, yeah you Mark, Mine was, but hold
on real quick because Darrell was sleeping between you and Kindle.
Most of those nights in the back of the army,
we had the pull out a couch. Nobody touched, nobody.
Speaker 6 (44:35):
Had anything to share.
Speaker 13 (44:38):
I know, but I'm I'm talking about secrets.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Ah, That's why we call them.
Speaker 13 (44:46):
Nothing never happened.
Speaker 3 (44:48):
That's a double negative.
Speaker 7 (44:50):
I do.
Speaker 26 (44:50):
I do remember when Sarah I used to left her
little grandma panties though the little.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
Mark did you want to share?
Speaker 15 (45:01):
We under.
Speaker 3 (45:05):
She's like, let me reiterate.
Speaker 6 (45:08):
The trend, you guys. So on road Rolls One would
I did a bunch of interviews this week, But on
Road Rolls One, what the things that they talked about
was how long ago it was and was it different?
So for Road Rolls One, it was like the wild
West of reality TV. The crew was only a few
years older than us, and we traveled around, so we
(45:29):
didn't have true days off. They I remember Kit and
I just taking the Winnebago and like going into like
a kmart shopping mart and like parking like so.
Speaker 3 (45:37):
Like it wasn't like parking and doing what just playing checkers, No,
but it was. It's it's a lot.
Speaker 6 (45:43):
It was a lot different back then in terms of
being able to just do what you wanted at any times.
And I know it's changed now with the climate of everything,
but like we would literally just take the Winnebago and
drive off and park it.
Speaker 13 (45:53):
But it was.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
It was great. So speaking of Kit, which we showed before,
you guys saw a little bit of the premiere Road
Rules give it up for Kid Hoover Kit so Kid
could not be here today. You might know which is the.
Speaker 6 (46:02):
Host of Access Hollywood.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
We went Mark filmed with them on Friday. It's gonna
Eric tomorrow, so look for Mark on Access Hollywood tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (46:11):
Mario Lopez. Huge fan of road Rule, huge, huge fan
of Road Roads huge.
Speaker 1 (46:15):
Mario Lopez also huge Third Wheel though, because yes, sir,
these two him and Kid who now Kit, by the way, divorce,
So I can say this, you guys still thirty years later,
have more chemistry than Yeah, most people I've ever seen.
Speaker 3 (46:31):
And so I'm gonna use that as a way to
cue this up. So Mark, you reach out to.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
A few people. Kid might be one of them for
a little package.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
Sho we got right.
Speaker 6 (46:37):
Yeah, we did a before when I knew this was happening.
And of course, you know, my heart goes to road
Rules in thirtyth anniversary. It's a huge number. And back
in nineteen ninety five, you gotta remember no phones, no internet,
we didn't have GPS, so we were using maps and whatnot.
So I thought to myself, over the years, I've met
so many people that have not only influenced me, but
(46:57):

Speaker 5 (52:38):
Like you, original road rulers that went out there with
no idea about what was going to happen.
Speaker 6 (52:45):
And you just paved the way so that way people
like me could have entire careers in this genre.
Speaker 5 (52:52):
I appreciate every single.
Speaker 1 (52:54):
One of you, and I especially appreciate.
Speaker 3 (52:56):
The fans that basically said, we love this genre, give

Speaker 3 (53:19):
I be the bath took us off the one wild
fucking riding.
Speaker 10 (53:24):
Road Rules didn't just help shape the genre, it helped
shape me, because.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Without me, there is no bananas, no challenges, no eliminations,
no legacy.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
So I'm so grateful to the trailblazers who can't before me, to.
Speaker 6 (53:37):
The chaos that followed, and to the fans who have been.
Speaker 5 (53:41):
Riding shot from since.
Speaker 6 (53:43):
Here's the thirty years of adrenaline, adventure and unforgettable TV,
and here's to whatever is around the next bend in
the road.
Speaker 5 (53:52):
Happy thirtieth birthday.
Speaker 28 (53:54):
Road Rules Wounds lessons. All right, guys, give it up.
Thank you to all them so so again.
Speaker 6 (54:05):
You know, when I meet people like this, from Iron
to Jody to Elisa, they're always like man, road Rules.
Speaker 3 (54:11):
That was such a cool time of my life.
Speaker 6 (54:13):
So even you know, the fans loved it, but even
some of these big time ninety stars it had a
physical reaction to them as well, which is always so awesome.
So thank you guys, Thank you them everyone on that
video for saying hello and wishing us so it was great.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
You gotta post that, of course I will come on.
Speaker 20 (54:31):
Wait, can I break in?
Speaker 6 (54:33):
Yes?
Speaker 20 (54:33):
You made the mistake of leaving the mic with me.
Susie was just booing bananas.
Speaker 6 (54:42):
And wess I mean that kid, because that's not because
she co host was Sarah Rice, is it?
Speaker 3 (54:50):
Hey, Susie, take the mic, Take the mic? What's the beef?
What's the beef?
Speaker 18 (54:54):
Listen.
Speaker 16 (54:56):
He's great television, no doubt about that. He makes the
show very entertaining. But I'm a Sarah loyalist, obviously, I
say bring them both back, and then you got to
bring me back because I gotta like be your bodyguard
or whatever because she's too nice, and then then we'll
(55:16):
sort it out on TV.
Speaker 1 (55:18):
What do you guys think of that? You guys like that?
Real quick, quick ahead?
Speaker 3 (55:22):
Hey guys, yea, I will, I'll.
Speaker 7 (55:28):
Right now.
Speaker 6 (55:29):
So, guys, if you're an old school fan, you know
that there's never been a better trio than Rachel, Katie
and Veronica. Right, I'm Rachel Tina, Rachel, Tina and Veronica.
What did I say?
Speaker 7 (55:45):
You're the mean girls? I'm the fucking nice.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
One, Sarah. Okay, so you guys remember their mean girl face?
Speaker 23 (55:52):
Right?
Speaker 6 (55:54):
So there's never been a better female trio in Butera
Murray than Julie Alicia and Farnaz.
Speaker 3 (56:02):
They're right over here for Beeutimry, guys, they are there.
Speaker 6 (56:08):
They are the women that keep the train on the tracks,
They keep the ship in the ocean, and they keep
chugging this along.
Speaker 3 (56:15):
So big big claps for them, guys, Thank you so
much for being here. So we're gonna bring somebody out.
Where's Jim? Jimmy can make a way to say so.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
Earlier today we showed you, guys the previously unaired pilot
that was used to create and sell road rolls.
Speaker 3 (56:31):
Right, so Mark was obviously involved in that.
Speaker 1 (56:33):
He was on the pilot. We have someone here who
was behind the scenes making it. Who's gonna be able
to film some of the bikes? Give it Umber, Jim Johnson, everybody,
Jay Jim, watch you just stand over there. Take Tina's mike.
Thank god you nineteen seasons of Real World. He produced,
makes a voice for that and wrote that pilot we watched.
Speaker 3 (56:53):
Take the floor.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
Jim.
Speaker 10 (56:54):
All right, Mark, I need your help for a second.
Did you bring a bag of tricks? I brought the
beauty Murray swag bag. Oh oh we don't want that,
okay Real World?
Speaker 29 (57:06):
Wait wait oh that is so this is the original
road Rules here man, but I need you to help
me put this on.
Speaker 3 (57:17):
Oh I know what this is.
Speaker 1 (57:18):
You know what this is.
Speaker 3 (57:19):
This will prove I worked on the show.
Speaker 6 (57:22):
Yeah, come here.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
Oh it feels so good. Look at that.
Speaker 3 (57:27):
Look at that Jill Rules badge. Now mark you guys,
you guys saw the pilot today.
Speaker 1 (57:34):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (57:35):
Now, the crew from the San Francisco Season three Real World,
they took about half their cruise and they went right
down to Catalina Island and shot that pilot with your five.
John Murray's voice of Beta Murray Production is the one
on the cassette. I love cassettes. Later it was Ray
(57:56):
Wilson for a season and stuff like that.
Speaker 13 (57:59):
Do you remember that.
Speaker 8 (58:00):
Yeah, but that pilot, I swear to god, I don't
know how you got it. Did you guys give it
to him? Okay, because that ptel, that pilot has never
been seen. But the way a story supervisor works, which
is what my job was, was funny.
Speaker 3 (58:17):
I just lost a job. It was June, I think
of ninety four and I just lost my job and
John Murray calls me and says, we got a script
supervisor job.
Speaker 8 (58:28):
Now what that means as a script supervisor in those days,
you just take all the video, all the tapes, you
look at it all and then you write out at
like a twenty page outline and then an editor you
work with him, and that's how you do it. Now,
we did the pilot very successful. Had to wait six
months till MTV picked up.
Speaker 6 (58:50):
The show, and they did tell me. They said, hey,
you guys did the pilot.
Speaker 30 (58:54):
You will never be on the series exactly because why
could he not reach learned to the series, Because he
wouldn't be surprised by the fact that we're taking his
money away and his credit cards away.
Speaker 3 (59:09):
He would have to fake it. And we don't do faking. Okay,
We're very real.
Speaker 8 (59:14):
And as we got closer, as we got closer and
closer to MTB saying we wanted to do a season,
I had to wait six months. I had to get
a job at Inside Edition with Bill O'Reilly Lee. I
covered the OJ trial. Okay, now, okay. Mary Ellis Bunham,
(59:36):
the late Mary Ellis Bunam, kept saying we had a cast,
We had a cast.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
The cast was all set up, and Mary.
Speaker 8 (59:43):
Ellis kept saying that we had this one man, and
we kept saying that Mark longhead.
Speaker 6 (59:52):
Character.
Speaker 8 (59:52):
I can't even remember the guy's name. We had the
group cast and there was the Mark Long character. He
was to be the guy that lends the humor to
the show. And about ten days before we were to
start shooting, Mary Ellis convenes Clay Newbill, Lisa Berger from MTV,
(01:00:14):
and John Murray. The five of us sat there and
Mary Ellis said, we need a Mark Long or this
show's not going to go. So so we called him,
are you available, Mark? And within seven days he was
on that first road wheels and we said.
Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
Mark, when they take your cell phone and credit cards away,
just give him.
Speaker 8 (01:00:38):
Up and be quiet and we'll cover the other four
with our cameras. And that's what we did because everything
after that was a surprise, so everything was coming to him.
Speaker 6 (01:00:48):
They said, They told me, they said, do not mention
that you did any part of this pilot or any
version of this for like the first I think it
was six to eight weeks. So when I finally when
they finally said you could tell them now.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
They were all like, what, how'd you stay on? Who'd
you sleep with to get this job?
Speaker 6 (01:01:05):
And I was like, no, they didn't, but you know,
you know who felt deceived, was the pilot people, because
they called me, like all four of them were like,
what the hell did you do to keep on this show?
Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
And I was like, I don't know, but I will
say this, I hadn't watched that. You guys watched the pilot.
Speaker 6 (01:01:20):
Yeah, I hadn't watched that pilot years and I've always
told Scott or Derek whoever. I said, I still don't
know why they kept me. And then when I watched
the pilot again recently, I'm like, man, I.
Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
Had like a love trial going on like two days.
Speaker 6 (01:01:32):
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like I was actually kind
of fun, you know, So I'm like I kind of
got it a little bit. But I was so thankful
when they called me. I was ready to go out
and get a job. But when they said we want
you to do the show, you just can't tell, I
was like, sign me up. I literally had a mattress
bed in Hollywood. I just moved there, so no bedframe,
no nothing, a mattress on the floor. Then I had
a milk crate with a little bubble TV on it,
(01:01:54):
and that was my life at the time. And I
was like, it was such a great call and I
just felt so honored like that I was called back
and I felt so great about the shot. Okay, I
felt so great. I felt so great an honor to
be a part of it that thirty years later, I
look back and I'm like, this was the moment that
(01:02:15):
kind of steered me to where I am today. So
thank you so much, jim I.
Speaker 18 (01:02:19):
Mark God brother.
Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
Mark understood he was. He was such a great cast member.
Speaker 8 (01:02:27):
He really embodied the whole idea of what we were
trying to do with road wheals. We really wanted to
travel across the country, meet people, engage with people.
Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
We wanted to adventure. We wanted physicality, but humor.
Speaker 8 (01:02:41):
As a As a story supervisor, when you're putting together
a script, you're always looking for that punchline.
Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
That gets you out of a scene and gets you
to the next act or something like that, we could
always count on Mark to keep the sense of humor there.
I didn't know about Clueless Premier.
Speaker 6 (01:03:01):
You're not day.
Speaker 8 (01:03:02):
You're not gonna believe this, and this is true. I
lived next to Alisia Silverstone for fifteen years. She was
my landlord.
Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
I knew her very well.
Speaker 6 (01:03:11):
Wow, I never heard that story before July nineteenth nineteen
ninety five.
Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
Here I say you were clueless. Wow, everybody real quick.
Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
The woman who was I forget her name on the pilot,
who obviously now e't got to do anything else in life.
Speaker 3 (01:03:29):
Is now a huge agent at UTA.
Speaker 20 (01:03:31):
Right.
Speaker 6 (01:03:31):
What the dark haired girl that I kind of had
a little fling with in the pilot, her name is
Shaney Rosenswag. She is now the top agent I believe
at UTA, a huge talent agency in Los Angeles.
Speaker 9 (01:03:43):
So she yet.
Speaker 6 (01:03:44):
Okay, let's just.
Speaker 24 (01:03:45):
Put it that.
Speaker 6 (01:03:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
But before I go, because you want to see these people,
I will say one thing.
Speaker 8 (01:03:51):
None of us would be here today if it wasn't
for the Godfather, Mark Long, because he.
Speaker 3 (01:04:01):
He told us how to make this fun and how
to engage and how to keep it going.
Speaker 8 (01:04:07):
And I we've been friends over the years, and I'm
really thankful about it. I know you all were talking
about the challenge today.
Speaker 31 (01:04:14):
Now.
Speaker 8 (01:04:14):
I did get to produce the very first Road Rules
Versus Real World Challenge, which was a one day affair.
Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
We were in Puerto Rico.
Speaker 13 (01:04:26):
It was a surprise.
Speaker 8 (01:04:27):
It was Real World Boston, which I was producing and
wrote before, and it was Cyrus. It wasn't a catapult,
but he had to leap from one thing to the other.
Sean duffy Ar, Transportation Secretary books. But but, but, the
the road Ruals team didn't have a freaking chance. The
(01:04:52):
real World Boston team was just too good.
Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
And so they they they they de feeded them.
Speaker 7 (01:05:01):
Thanks Jim Bye, give it.
Speaker 3 (01:05:03):
Up for mister Jim Johns, everybody, the og of Og.
Thank you Jim. That was so special. Mark, thank you,
Thank you by Man.
Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
Yeah, I think we need a Jim Johnston type for
every show we do. Yeah, give it up for Jim.
Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
This is the second time we've had him on one
of our stages.
Speaker 1 (01:05:22):
The first time is when we roasted Cyrus Yard row
down in San Diego, and Jim wanted to be a
part of that. So what we love is we love
that the people who have made the show dating back
to ninety five ninety six ro Rod Boston Roade Rules
season one, they still want to be a part of this.
And we have a lot of people in the house
who made the show possible. He mentioned they're not here,
but give it up one more time for John Murray
and Mary Ellis Bunam.
Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
Who created the show.
Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
Every It's funny I growing up, you know, now people
wear hats the Law and Order it says like created
by Dick Wolf for executive producer Dick Woll. For me,
that version for me was the at the end of
Ever was created by John Murray and Mary Eli's bunim
was always the first thing you saw at the end
of every episode. So give it up for that man.
Speaker 6 (01:06:03):
So before I started hosting these things with Scott uh,
he watched occasionally, Yeah, and he goes. I remember years ago,
I got off a plane at Lax and he goes,
and you were on my shuttle and he goes. You're like,
you're like a celebrity to me.
Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
Yeah, he goes.
Speaker 6 (01:06:19):
I wanted to come up to even say hi, he goes,
but I was too nervous, and I was like, yeah.
Cut to now, him and I travel all across the
country with Derek hosting these events, doing these things with
these cast remembers. So what a fucking whirlwind. So give
it up for Scott Yeager, who does all of this.
Speaker 15 (01:06:33):
Stop the mass.
Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
So look, I appreciate that, but I also appreciate all
of you guys, right, and I've asked some questions today.
It's time for you guys to ask some questions. All right,
so let'st If you have a question, raise your hands.
Speaker 4 (01:06:48):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
I'm actually gonna come out there with this mic.
Speaker 16 (01:06:51):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
We're gonna try to do this democratically. Don't hurt yourself,
not the Sean Duffy way. I'll be out there in
a second.
Speaker 13 (01:06:57):
All right, all right, real quick, while you walk, I
have a question for you guys. Do you want ogs
on All Stars? Tell these people, those are the people
who make the decisions right there. Do you want the
non ogs? Why do you watch All Stars for? Oh geez,
(01:07:22):
that's your crew.
Speaker 3 (01:07:23):
Let them know. Thank you so much. All right, So.
Speaker 4 (01:07:28):
It would be cheaper too, It would be a lot
cheaper production. Listen up, because most of us already have insurance,
so you ain't gotta fuck around and try to get
the young kids insurance. You know what I'm saying. So
we were used to paying copays and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
We know about it.
Speaker 4 (01:07:44):
You know, we're smart. We listen to our bodies. You
know we have other things of value. We won't do it.
You don't you gotta sign all this crazy stuff about
killing ourselves. No, we love us and we got rent
mortgage and all that other stuff to pay for. So
if you get us on a more often, you know
what I'm saying, y'all ways say a lot of money.
Speaker 13 (01:08:07):
Mark, I have a question.
Speaker 6 (01:08:08):
So Shane, guys, Shane's going off right now if you
this is.
Speaker 13 (01:08:11):
A battle of the sexes. So all of us that
were there when we were at that resort, there was
a wedding? Was it a Dina Manzel? And yeah, okay, okay, fantastic.
Speaker 6 (01:08:26):
Story.
Speaker 13 (01:08:29):
What was freaky boots?
Speaker 23 (01:08:30):
Hold on?
Speaker 13 (01:08:30):
Got I got a good behind the scenes.
Speaker 6 (01:08:31):
Story, Shane got go ahead, Shane, go ahead.
Speaker 13 (01:08:33):
Give me one second and it's back to you. So
our show we were this is our first challenge for
Campus Crawl. We were together and our show hadn't aired yet,
so we were like literally fish out of water. We're like,
what the heck is going on? We didn't even know
what was happening. And he's so famous, but my brain's market.
(01:08:54):
Tay Diggs stops me as I'm walking down to film
and he's like, hey man, you're my first ever wrote.
We call it when you get someone recognizes you, we
call it road rolled. They road ruled me or yeah,
So my very first road ruled was Tane Diggs stopping
me before his wedding and being like, hey man, you're Shane.
(01:09:16):
We've been watching you, we love you.
Speaker 6 (01:09:18):
This is so awesome.
Speaker 13 (01:09:19):
So those are the most incredible experience of my life.
Speaker 6 (01:09:22):
And those those are the moments that are great. I
remember after my first season, Scott and I'll throw to you.
I remember on one of the on one of the shows,
they brought me to the Playboy Mansion. So I remember
I got to go back to the Playboy Mansion because
I'm a straight male and I loved it. So I
went back to the Playboy Mansion and I was at
the bar and I heard someone come behind me and
he goes road rolls and I look back and it
(01:09:44):
was Jeff Goldbloom and he's like, I love you man.
I'm like, dude, I'm a fucking star. Now fucking gold
Bloom knows me. Go ahead, Scott. So I'm here with
a Maya from real World Hawaii. No, you wanted to
chime in on the wedding thing, right? No, First I
have to say, did you get Legionnaire's disease while you're there?
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Mark?
Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
I get what Legionnaire's?
Speaker 16 (01:10:07):
Oh Am?
Speaker 6 (01:10:07):
I dating the Legionaire's disease at the pool and the
grotto and in the no I dodged that, but I
do have stories. Yes, but say for another live show.
Speaker 1 (01:10:21):
Yes it was a Dima and it was he digs,
and yes, they were constantly talking about Shane.
Speaker 27 (01:10:28):
The entire time that they're there.
Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
I believe it's pronounced Adele delcam By the way, thank
you all.
Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
Right over here, same side of the room. We have
a couple of questions.
Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
What's your name? Away from what's your question?
Speaker 25 (01:10:41):
Hi, I am level from LA and I just want
to say I love All Stars so much. I feel
like it's just completely reinvigorating my own personal interest in
the franchise, and I would be thrilled to see any
of the people on this stage on the next season.
But I'm really curious, Mark, do you think there would
ever be a world where they do, as someone who
is a big fan of the original Battle of the Seasons,
a real world versus road Rules challenge on All Stars?
Speaker 6 (01:11:05):
Yeah, listen, If I'm being honest with you, guys, I
am now in your position where you know, I find
out things when you guys find out things.
Speaker 3 (01:11:15):
Are you guys liking All Stars.
Speaker 6 (01:11:18):
So I think I think a real truth fan would
love an old school real road versus Road rules.
Speaker 16 (01:11:24):
Right.
Speaker 6 (01:11:27):
I think over the years we've garnered a fan base.
Now I think people separate the franchise from odes All Stars.
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
So yes, I think I.
Speaker 6 (01:11:36):
Would love it, and I think you guys would love it.
And but again, I just thank you guys for even
you know, getting behind us when we started launching this
years ago. I mean All Stars one. Still, I'll give
you guys a great All Stars one story is it
was right after COVID and or yeah, but kind of
right at the tail end so we could travel, but
like you know, it was.
Speaker 3 (01:11:54):
Kind of whatever.
Speaker 18 (01:11:57):
I had to get shots weekly.
Speaker 6 (01:11:59):
Thank you Katie that Katie Doyle.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
Everyone.
Speaker 6 (01:12:02):
No, All Stars won, But it was like put it
this way, let me reiterate this, let me reiterate this.
Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
We were still.
Speaker 6 (01:12:26):
Allowed to shoot, like production was like green lighting it.
But with that said, we had to do like ten
days of quarantine here then we had to get checked
and we did another ten days in Argentina.
Speaker 3 (01:12:36):
So with that said, though, we were all in the
same hotel and we.
Speaker 6 (01:12:41):
Had to get checked every day because it was COVID
for sure, and so we're all looking out the thing,
and production came up to us and said, guys, they're
coming today to pick you up. And we were like,
oh my god, I wonder what's We didn't know because
we didn't know how it was gonna be, like are
they picking us in taxi cabs?
Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
Are they picking us in minivans?
Speaker 6 (01:12:57):
And we all looked out the window at one time
and you saw the Challenge bus coming with the huge
Challenge all stars in gold across the sign, and we
were like, yes, this is fucking it. We're like, this
is the best thing ever. So when we saw that,
we knew it was legit. We knew it was gonna happen,
and I think all of us were just so thrilled
to be there. So thank you guys for being a
(01:13:19):
fan of it, and thank you, thank you guys for
pushing the pile.
Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
Who all right, next question?
Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
And by the way, I was told my man Cyrus
just told me we have someone else who I believe
produced the first season the Challenge You said, right, Kenny Hall?
Is that Kenny right?
Speaker 17 (01:13:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:13:35):
Give it up for Kenny Hall's here as well, So
I want to say, yeah, hello, and he did Boston
cast you on Real World Boston.
Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
So if you want to punch someone in the face,
it's Kenny.
Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
No, just kidd it, give it up for Cyrus. By
the way, who so is?
Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
Look, if this was anything other than a road Rules.
Speaker 1 (01:13:57):
Dedicated show, we would have Cyrus right in the center
of the stage because this guy is not only is
he an MTV legend, he's one of our favorite people.
He's one of LA's finest.
Speaker 3 (01:14:05):
You know what he is? Stand up, Cyrus?
Speaker 6 (01:14:07):
Where's he?
Speaker 3 (01:14:07):
He's all the way in the back booth, of course,
holding it down.
Speaker 1 (01:14:10):
Look at that.
Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
Do you guys know what he is? You guys know
what Cyrus is?
Speaker 6 (01:14:14):
Right, he's the first black re start real quick and
by the way, proclaim by the way, in case, I'm
gonna give them Mike the Cyrus.
Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
But in case you recognize this beautiful lady, this is
Big Brother winner. Taylor Hale is here.
Speaker 13 (01:14:28):
Yeah, hey, Scott, real quick, I got a Cyrus stories.
Speaker 6 (01:14:32):
Oh shit, Shane.
Speaker 13 (01:14:33):
Sorry, I'm sorry. I want to let you talk, but
sometimes I want you to. So first time meeting Cyrus,
Battle the sexes, They all of the men we were
in one house and I actually, weirdly, there was only
one queen bed and it was me and Puck were
forced to share it. Oh God, small world, or.
Speaker 18 (01:14:53):
Did you volunteer for that?
Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
No?
Speaker 4 (01:14:55):
I just sat there and no one.
Speaker 13 (01:14:57):
Puck didn't have a bed, so he started sleeping next
to me. But Cyrus, you were across from in the corner.
I'll never forget this though, because this is when we
still were doing like Nokia at so they gave us
free telephone calls and you can like call and you know,
god knows what else. And then out of nowhere, we're
just sitting and talking and Cyrus goes, yeah, I know Snoop.
You don't know Soup. Let me call on and he
(01:15:19):
literally calls Snoop from the Nokia phone. Do you remember
this or no?
Speaker 6 (01:15:24):
I mean, you know, Cyrus.
Speaker 13 (01:15:27):
He goes, Hey, Snoop, it's Cyrus. We're out here filming
the show. Here's my friend Shane, and just like hands
me the phone. Was Like, what am I gonna say that?
This guy was so uncomfortable? But I mean, I don't
know who Snoop it. I mean, I know who Snoop is,
But what are you gonna say to someone? You know,
(01:15:47):
when your mom shoves a phone in your face you
don't like Hi, uncle.
Speaker 6 (01:15:51):
Hey, since we're talking about Cyrus, Hey, Shane, Cyrus, Cyrus.
Speaker 3 (01:15:57):
I believe it was the gauntlet. We were getting eaten
by bugs.
Speaker 6 (01:16:00):
So Cyrus, when he went to bed would tie a
string around his arm, stretch the string out and tie
uh insect repellent, like ten feet of string, so he'd
throw it away. In the middle of the night, he'd
wake up, he'd screochs it up, spray, and then he
throwed it back. You remember that, I yes, you do real.
Speaker 1 (01:16:20):
Quick because we got to keep up with Cyrus. Say
hello to the great city of Los Angeles and Bray
of course. And do you have any thoughts? I know
you weren't on it, but you but you played alongside
of Lize people. Do you have any thoughts on your
sister's show road Rules? I mean, you gotta love road Rules.
They do what they do, and they do it well.
Speaker 3 (01:16:35):
They we were a little more pamper than they were
to say, there they go hard.
Speaker 1 (01:16:40):
We try and do what they do. There was no
road Rules sketch on Chappelle's show, though, I mean, yeahs.
Speaker 18 (01:16:49):
If there was no reference to real world on Friends.
Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
Oh, there wasn't a real world person on Friends.
Speaker 31 (01:16:59):
I do gotta admit, though I was already I did
that foemo when I did not get because I never
knew what road Rules was. Yeah, I didn't know, But honestly,
I don't think I could have never won for in
a row if it wasn't for road Rules, because it kind.
Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
Of prepped my mind.
Speaker 26 (01:17:15):
Well, guys, if it sounds I bas in Vegas and
a lot of fucking child support right now, actually I'd
be done.
Speaker 1 (01:17:23):
But if it sounds like there's still a little bit
of a rivalry between real world and road Rules, I
don't know. It sounds like they should have to settle
this some day. Next question, what's your name? Where are
you from?
Speaker 18 (01:17:33):
My name is Lindsay and I'm from Colorado.
Speaker 3 (01:17:35):
I have a question for Godfather.
Speaker 6 (01:17:39):
Yes, Lindsay from Colorado.
Speaker 3 (01:17:41):
You get all the questions.
Speaker 18 (01:17:42):
You get all the questions.
Speaker 23 (01:17:46):
So first of all, I know I'm not alone in
this room when I say that All Stars is the
reason that I.
Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
Fell in love with the challenge. Thank you so much,
you guys. Sounds sweet. I love you.
Speaker 16 (01:17:59):
So I want to ask if there are any plans
for future seasons.
Speaker 6 (01:18:04):
I would listen. Again, I'm like a fan of this
I'm a fan of the show. I think we've garnered
a big audience, and would you guys like another season?
Speaker 3 (01:18:14):
So that with that said, I I love it. I
think it.
Speaker 6 (01:18:19):
I think it's definitely a separate entity than the franchise.
So I hope do you guys like doing it?
Speaker 7 (01:18:26):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:18:26):
Okay, so I hope.
Speaker 6 (01:18:28):
So my fingers are cross and uh, I think we
now have an imprint of an audience, so hopefully.
Speaker 3 (01:18:33):
So, thank you, Lindsey, appreciate you all right.
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Next questions in the back of the room.
Speaker 3 (01:18:37):
What's your name, where you're from?
Speaker 1 (01:18:38):
What's your question?
Speaker 18 (01:18:39):
Mariah as in Carrie Ria carry My question is for
the whole cast.
Speaker 16 (01:18:47):
If you guys could pick any reality show to be
on right now, including.
Speaker 6 (01:18:51):
In the frame.
Speaker 18 (01:18:55):
Trader, I think I would actually do well. I know
I look like I'm like, oh, but I fuck some people.
Speaker 3 (01:19:01):
Up mentally, Okayaie, I think you'd actually thrive.
Speaker 17 (01:19:07):
They should have put Katie and Veronica straight from All
Stars five onto The Traders together. That's how it should
have parlayed like that, because the truth is is that
and one of the things one of the reasons why
I will just say that I am so proud of
Era one.
Speaker 15 (01:19:22):
Being able to really do so well.
Speaker 17 (01:19:24):
In the last two seasons with Challenge forty and with
All Stars five is because I do feel like the
women have been the backbone of a lot of the franchise,
without a lot, without a lot of the extra alcolades, Like, yeah,
sure we don't have four or five or six championships,
but guess what we have scars so deep that we
(01:19:47):
have really built this franchise on some of the women's backs.
And I feel like in the last two Challenge seasons.
Speaker 15 (01:19:54):
It was really highlighted. And but you know, so I
don't forget where I was going with this.
Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
But guys, you won't believe when we have back here.
Someone mentioned training.
Speaker 17 (01:20:04):
Well, so yeah, So my point is is that so
many of the men have crossed over onto villains or
traders or whatever else, and it is time. It is
very much time due that Veronica, Katie, Tina, people are
really standing out on the Challenge in twenty twenty five.
(01:20:25):
Hands down the reason I watched All Stars five was
because of Katie and Veronica.
Speaker 15 (01:20:30):
So you know, I will say that if they need
to go on the Traders.
Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
Or well, in the back of the room here we
have casting director from Traders season one?
Speaker 3 (01:20:42):
Who is it? Who is and everybody?
Speaker 24 (01:20:45):
I'm Aaron Thomasseello. I'm any swinning casting director from Trader
season one and got to get out also, so we're
looking for you guys. But I just want to thank
Mark and I wanted to tell this whole cast the
reason I have an Emmy on my mantle is because
you guys made me fall in love with reality TV
and you're so sweet.
Speaker 7 (01:21:04):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
Er I'm gonna put on the spot Erin.
Speaker 1 (01:21:11):
If you could snap your fingers and put one person
on that stage on the Traders season five, who would
it be?
Speaker 24 (01:21:20):
I love Veronica, I love Shane, I love Sarah, Rice, Susie.
Speaker 18 (01:21:25):
You mean a lot to me.
Speaker 3 (01:21:26):
I'm follow me on Instagram.
Speaker 24 (01:21:28):
Everybody at casting Aaron, you can see what I'm casting
and we'll get you all on hopefully.
Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
Well pick one, just in the spirit of tough questions, pick.
Speaker 15 (01:21:42):
One, Come on, Eron, I would just like to say
I would do Traders too.
Speaker 4 (01:21:48):
Yeah, I'll do it for I'll do it for a
third of the price.
Speaker 31 (01:21:52):
Can I.
Speaker 6 (01:21:54):
I'm a teacher, I get paid, Aaron? Can I answer first?
I'll answer first? Out of this cat on Traders if
I was casting it, Veronica all the way.
Speaker 1 (01:22:06):
All right, Veronica all the way. I know you don't
want to, but give me one name, Taylor. Hell, Okay,
that's not fair.
Speaker 3 (01:22:14):
I would do.
Speaker 4 (01:22:15):
My reality show would be The Housewives, you know, because
they not they fight and stuff like that, but they
eat good. Okay, and they're not They're not voting anybody off.
You know what I'm saying for no reason?
Speaker 3 (01:22:29):
Okay, Keithla, We've got a question back here. What's your name?
Speaker 1 (01:22:32):
Where are you from?
Speaker 6 (01:22:33):
Sir car? I'm from at L h Wait, you're who's
this from? Who from at L From Atlanta?
Speaker 1 (01:22:42):
All right?
Speaker 6 (01:22:43):
I got a question from my pops up there, Keithla.
Speaker 1 (01:22:46):
So the video of you episode with you and the
UH with the snake and alligator, would you rather do
the snake or do the alligator?
Speaker 4 (01:22:56):
You see, it'd be the one that you love the most.
They try to embarrass you. So so on my episode,
we I don't like reptiles and cats and racism, so.
Speaker 6 (01:23:06):
And and I had uh and I had all of it,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (01:23:10):
Yeah, and I had we had a little bit of
all of that and so uh, you know, and they're
all about the same. Can't trust neither one of them.
But you know, we had the milk poisonous snake and
we had uh yeah, well you know, get the venom
from it, and so uh, you know, you know, black folks,
we don't do well with stuff like that, and then
(01:23:30):
showed it. Even the Hunted episode. I didn't go into
that because we know what happened to black folks in
the hundred movies. They don't even make it when the
title comes up, they're already dead. And so I told
them that. But the snakes, I don't. I don't like snakes.
I hate snakes. And then the crocodile. Crocodile was cool
because you they're kind of slow, and you you know,
you can I can get somebody's you know slow, you
(01:23:51):
know what I'm saying. But the snake's real fast.
Speaker 16 (01:23:53):
And uh.
Speaker 4 (01:23:54):
And the dude that was teaching us how to do it,
he was doing like this. He was saying, so this
is what you do.
Speaker 3 (01:24:00):
And I was like, and I'm looking at that.
Speaker 4 (01:24:01):
I'm just like, homeboy, you missing something, you know what
I'm saying. So he doing this the whole time. You know,
I'm like, and I'm like and I'm looking at that
little finger, like what happened to it didn't have a
fingernail on it at nothing, So I knew it wasn't
born that way. That was taken from him. And so
we signed that little sheet and so I was scared
of that. You know, Susie was all into that. But Susie,
(01:24:22):
tell him about the crocodile.
Speaker 1 (01:24:24):
How you went on, and.
Speaker 4 (01:24:27):
He said about snakes, you know, he rather would I
rather do the snakes or the crocodile, But listen to this.
The crocodile. I love, I do the crocodile. And then
the crocodile almost took me down, to remember, it caught
my shirt. And then they were worried about me cutting
and I told I told Chadwick to cut the cut
the shirt, and they were worried about me cutting the
(01:24:48):
microphone as opposed to the crocodile pulling me down to
get all eating up, you know what I mean, because
Australia dark meat, it's pretty flavorful, juicy, And so I
told I was like, cut the dawn meat, cut the shirt.
You know, they worried about the microphone, but Susie with
the crop, go ahead.
Speaker 18 (01:25:21):
Yeah, I know, I put my finger inside the cropping
all the time.
Speaker 19 (01:25:24):
Whatever.
Speaker 18 (01:25:25):
I know, it's so great to be funny and stuff.
Speaker 16 (01:25:28):
But I gotta say, and what I really love about
road rules and real world, but especially road rules, is
that it really does open your eyes this stuff. And
this poor guy had to spend months in a Winnebago
with just me and a bunch of weirdos and tolerate
our ignorance. I was so sheltered and he was so
(01:25:52):
patient and he it really did change my life.
Speaker 6 (01:25:56):
So give it up for that.
Speaker 3 (01:26:00):
Keep it up for keithless family by the way in
the back.
Speaker 6 (01:26:04):
Keep the bout his whole family out, including the two boys.
Maybe we'll see them on a challenge someday.
Speaker 4 (01:26:09):
You never know.
Speaker 1 (01:26:10):
Only a road Rules thirty or you're gonna have a
son ask his father, Dad, would you have rather the
snake or the crocodile? I love that We've got time
for one more audience question. What's your name? Where you're from? Which? Question?
Speaker 27 (01:26:20):
From Al from Jersey Al for Shane Shane Shane situation
of choosing between the mean girl alliance or the lavender lady.
Speaker 6 (01:26:33):
Oh shit, cutting deep.
Speaker 1 (01:26:38):
It's like your version of snake or crocodile.
Speaker 6 (01:26:41):
Cutting deep, Go ahead, Shane, Shane, you've been talking. Lock ahead, Shane.
Speaker 26 (01:26:46):
I would like to two answers to it. There's the
honest answer. He's always gonna go with first love. But
if he's in the house and for some reason the
Lavender Ladies are running shit, he's gonna be like this.
Speaker 13 (01:27:04):
No, you're right though, Well, the reality is is I
think I put it into the universe because I said
in a podcast before All Stars five, the best television,
the best episodes of the challenge are not the explosions
or not the crazy twist. It's when the friends who
loved each other have to turn on each other, the
(01:27:26):
mic and the quarrel. Those are the moments everyone talks
about coming down the line. And then they put Veronica,
me and two of the Lavender Ladies on the show.
And I'll be honest with you, I'm here to win now.
I'm tired of being everybody's friend. I want to win.
So I would choose who's going to take me to
the end.
Speaker 4 (01:27:46):
And that's the only answer speaking truth.
Speaker 6 (01:27:49):
Yeah, you did, guys, you know what I was thinking about.
I was thinking about so my buddy, his name Scott Taty,
he just did he just show ran, uh, what was it?
Bachelor in Paradise? So now he's doing the next Bachelor.
But if you think about it, if we wait a
(01:28:11):
couple more years, I could do the Golden Bachelor, you
know what I mean?
Speaker 13 (01:28:17):
Do it so like it.
Speaker 6 (01:28:19):
If things work out in a few years, I'm Golden
Bachelor material. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (01:28:26):
Mark.
Speaker 3 (01:28:26):
But the problem is, what, Scott, what's the problem.
Speaker 1 (01:28:30):
The problem is the Golden Bachelor's supposed to look kind
of old, and you still look like you're fucking thirty one.
Speaker 13 (01:28:37):
You have to actually date somebody and you have to
want to bang these old broads.
Speaker 1 (01:28:41):
Dude, that's the problem.
Speaker 15 (01:28:42):
That's why is.
Speaker 6 (01:28:44):
Julie, Hey, Julie, are you still here? Alicia, I'll pitch
you and Fornas tell me this wouldn't be a great show,
and you can relay this to Julie for now you're listening.
So it's like the Bachelor, right, But we have ten
women that are my age, and then we have ten
of their daughters. I mean, if that's not making some news,
(01:29:10):
I don't know what will happen because that's my real life.
For nas as you're signing your bill, that's my real life.
Speaker 15 (01:29:16):
Take his mic away, private meetings.
Speaker 3 (01:29:20):
Mark, the climate, the climate has changed.
Speaker 1 (01:29:22):
We literally have a mic in your back pocket and
your whole dude, I'm double micing, spread them around. I'm
double micing right now. Guys. Okay, so gay so okay,
So who here has been to a challenge many alive before?
Who here is your This is your first ever alive
for showing this. So my buddy Blue and Jeff, So
we're gonna bring up Blue and Jeff. Just kidding, no,
(01:29:44):
So the way we always end these shows is we
give everybody a chance to kind of do a send off.
We have way too many people to be able to
do that.
Speaker 3 (01:29:49):
So what we did was Mark and some good friends
of is put together.
Speaker 1 (01:29:53):
Can I speak videos set, of course, But I'm just
gonna let them know really what we're gonna do after
real quick, just so they're prepared. After the video, okay,
we're gonna say one quick thank you that we're gonna
get together for a big post photo. Okay, we'll put
the house lights up, we'll play some music. Everyone here,
no matter what ticket you have, can take a nice
group photo of us after that. If you do have
the GA tickets, we need you to leave, if you're
guest list or if your VIP staying your seats. We'll
(01:30:15):
hang out and do the me greet later. But before that,
we're gonna do a video. Mark's gonna talk more about it.
Speaker 6 (01:30:19):
Go ahead, guys. First of all, Alicia and Fernas is
Julian in the bathroom. We're gonna wait for her to
come back for this video, all right, because because you
want to fill a buster a little more, I'm gonna
fill a buster.
Speaker 15 (01:30:32):
We ask more questions.
Speaker 3 (01:30:35):
Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, good?
Speaker 1 (01:30:36):
What do you got?
Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
What do you got?
Speaker 1 (01:30:37):
What do you got? What do you got?
Speaker 18 (01:30:40):
So this is a road rules event.
Speaker 12 (01:30:42):
Can we just give a shout out to Derek motherfucking
Kazinski for a second.
Speaker 18 (01:30:47):
I love you, Scott. I have a question for Tina.
What was it like to slap Beth.
Speaker 6 (01:30:56):
Coming in hot? She missed him?
Speaker 3 (01:31:00):
It felt great?
Speaker 6 (01:31:03):
How are you guys now? How are you guys today?
Present day? Beth come on out, yawn.
Speaker 3 (01:31:12):
Mine. Mark. By the way, did you see this shirt?
Speaker 1 (01:31:16):
What shirt?
Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
I will this day?
Speaker 6 (01:31:19):
Oh my god, clueless shirt. Did you like the Alicia video? Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:31:23):
I've got a question for you guys.
Speaker 1 (01:31:25):
Okay, so we're talking about real World road Rules Challenge,
all starts, whatever. But what about the idea of at
some point bringing back road Rules. Would you guys be
okay with that? So I kind of said it like
Jeff Goldblum road Rules. No, does anyone on stage have
any ideas for how if we brought it back twenty
twenty five? Give me some some updated ways we could
(01:31:47):
do it. Susie Shane homecoming. No, it's not Shane, not
even a homecoming. It's let's let's do like a road
Rules all stars of everyone, Mark, send them out to
give them Mike and your back talk.
Speaker 6 (01:31:57):
I know, I like your faster.
Speaker 15 (01:32:00):
Well, I just think it's kind of crazy because a
lot of.
Speaker 3 (01:32:03):
Us have children the age we were car seat road Rules.
Speaker 6 (01:32:07):
No, I'm talking about road Rules.
Speaker 3 (01:32:09):
Bring your children, No, they need they need.
Speaker 15 (01:32:11):
To bring like we have kids that are the age
we were when we did.
Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
So it's a better version of Mark's creepy bachelor idea exactly,
except it's just you guys and your kids.
Speaker 6 (01:32:23):
You know you guys would watch it, right, You know
you would? Okay, Tina, great show.
Speaker 17 (01:32:28):
I think that you would have like six of us
at a time going through an RV and then you
can go and drop them off at their house and
then pick up another cast member and.
Speaker 6 (01:32:37):
You can get no vote offs, none of that.
Speaker 15 (01:32:40):
I want to keep this.
Speaker 9 (01:32:41):
Person on to continue the journey, and you can go
around and agree drop off.
Speaker 18 (01:32:46):
Marko kicks it off. Yeah, I think, shut up, because
your ass up.
Speaker 6 (01:32:53):
I just show up first at the Winnebago place. I'm like,
I'd like to rent a Winnebago and I got a
little fucking venture to go. Dude, I pick you you
all up now, you know you know what?
Speaker 3 (01:33:05):
I think, you know what I.
Speaker 6 (01:33:06):
Would love because because this is just me speaking as me,
not part of any fucking scheme or anything, but I
think I think a road Rules would live if you
actually went back in time. You still cast people, right,
but you took away their technology, right, You didn't let
they did. They couldn't use a GPS, they had to
use maps. They they couldn't just stay at a hotel.
(01:33:26):
They had to figure out ways to sleep and shower, right,
am I right? So take away the technology and do
another road Rules and uh, in all honesty though, I
was I was with Kid the other day and Kit
was like, when are we doing something for road Rules?
I'm like I hope soon She's like, I'm down, so like,
there's definitely an interest in it. Uh, Mario lit up
(01:33:47):
when you hear it. Because Mario Lopez doesn't like many things.
I'll be honest with you guys, but he loved road Rules,
and uh, I think a lot of you guys would.
You grew up with it, and a lot of you
guys have fond memories of it. So like the Real World,
if we'd road Rules, however the iteration of it was,
I think the fans would love it. So we'll see.
Farnaz get on that, Get on that. Fornaz and Alicia,
(01:34:11):
are you answer me this for NOAs? Are there any
takeaways from today? Like all right, so when you guys
have that meet, when you have that meeting, be like, guys,
there's still some you know, interesting or anything. By the way, Fernaz,
raise your hand. Far Naz was the person that produced.
She was the showrunner for the Kardashians forever. Blame it
(01:34:34):
on her, guys, blame it on her. I love that show.
Kim Kim Kardashian, huge fan of Real World and road Rules,
mostly Real World. Thanks for shooting us down. We're waiting
for Julie, she needs to see this.
Speaker 15 (01:34:51):
Where's Fatima?
Speaker 1 (01:34:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:34:53):
Where is Fatima?
Speaker 13 (01:34:53):
She here?
Speaker 17 (01:34:54):
Here she is.
Speaker 6 (01:34:57):
Fatima was our talent producer for ever. Fatima is so great.
Speaker 19 (01:35:03):
How she on the original challenge Then when we came
back on she's like, get the fucking line.
Speaker 6 (01:35:26):
She's like, I know you guys, get in the fucking line.
Speaker 1 (01:35:28):
Here's what we'll do.
Speaker 3 (01:35:29):
Here's what we'll do because we're not going to show
the video until Julie Peas gets back. By the way,
is she coming back?
Speaker 15 (01:35:34):
Let's take another question.
Speaker 3 (01:35:36):
So no, no, no, no, I don't think this is
this is next her.
Speaker 6 (01:35:39):
This is what Mark's waiting for you.
Speaker 3 (01:35:40):
This okay, this is what we usually do.
Speaker 1 (01:35:42):
Does anybody want to say some parting thoughts, whether it's
about road rules or.
Speaker 6 (01:35:46):
Started off Rachel Rachel started off party thoughts.
Speaker 1 (01:35:49):
Or and then give it to Susie.
Speaker 6 (01:35:50):
She can go next.
Speaker 16 (01:35:51):
Yeah, let's hear about when Sarah the Gauntlet Queen made
out with THEO and did cross her.
Speaker 18 (01:35:57):
Sarah, You're welcome.
Speaker 6 (01:36:05):
Shame. Shane was there when he did Wiener Olympics in
the UH to talk about the go ahead Sarah, Sarah,
how was that? How was THEO in the old tonsil
hockey thing.
Speaker 23 (01:36:19):
Just to be clear, when that happened, he was not
the he was, you know, Theovonowski.
Speaker 3 (01:36:25):
And what was different about him? Well his bank account?
Speaker 6 (01:36:31):
What just kidding? Thats fucking cheap?
Speaker 3 (01:36:34):
No, I really, I really do want I'm fascinated by
his what what do you think was different about him?
Speaker 15 (01:36:38):
Well, he seemed a lot less racist at the time.
Speaker 6 (01:36:41):
Oh wow, way to bring the room down, guys. He
seemed a lot less racist at the time. Is that
like a proud I take it out with him?
Speaker 1 (01:36:52):
She could tell.
Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
She was, go tell you're like told to mind a
boom in THEO.
Speaker 6 (01:36:57):
In Theo's defense, he grew up, He's always said, Mark,
I grew up like a poor black guy. That's what
he said, right listen, I'm not defending it.
Speaker 3 (01:37:08):
That's kind of.
Speaker 6 (01:37:11):
Hey, we have Julie Peasy back, guys. We got Julie back,
all right, So we did. We spent a lot of
time on this video. We usually do goodbyes, but we
did a video that I wanted to take you guys
on a ride.
Speaker 3 (01:37:29):
I wanted to, you know, bring you guys up, bring
you down, bring you back up.
Speaker 6 (01:37:33):
I think it's the perfect way to end this show,
some of you guys might get emotional, because when I
finished it, I thought I was emotional as well, so.
Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
I think, yeah, don't go pee.
Speaker 6 (01:37:45):
This is a This is a fantastic video of how
many seasons thirteen I don't know, but it's thirty years.
This is thirteen seasons of one of the best nostalgic
shows that had ever been produced. That will let you guys,
that give you guys all the fields. I promise, all right,
let's roll it. Traveling is the best way to become
(01:38:12):
a new place I go in.
Speaker 5 (01:38:14):
This world amazes the crap out of me. I can't
wait to get on the road and see what's coming with.
Speaker 13 (01:38:27):
Thanks.
Speaker 5 (01:38:30):
I just follow the clean you received.
Speaker 7 (01:38:44):
And when you can make the missions, you can expect
that handsome reward.
Speaker 4 (01:38:50):
Ready to move in and go find out exactly what
we're doing at BOB last last summer that was to
lead the beginning of the advance.
Speaker 1 (01:38:57):
Why what.
Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
Y'all get moose?
Speaker 20 (01:39:33):
I'm gonna cry?
Speaker 4 (01:39:34):
Why can't I do that.
Speaker 13 (01:39:45):
Anywhere? I've never been in love before, And you know,
I've been getting really close to Dan, Kay and Mark.
Speaker 7 (01:39:55):
They really had so much a.
Speaker 13 (01:39:56):
Common I don't know other people think this is big
romance going arch.
Speaker 7 (01:40:07):
Tina tries to think me stay day for me.
Speaker 6 (01:40:11):
You're gonna throw something.
Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
We are not five people.
Speaker 16 (01:40:15):
We are four people.
Speaker 5 (01:40:16):
And Zoe when who desires to be with us, when
she has the.
Speaker 7 (01:40:19):

Speaker 6 (01:40:23):

Speaker 6 (01:41:01):

Speaker 3 (01:41:18):

Speaker 6 (01:41:21):

Speaker 1 (01:41:26):
Road Roads team member must be.
Speaker 6 (01:41:28):
A limaid.
Speaker 7 (01:41:30):

Speaker 6 (01:41:32):

Speaker 5 (01:41:39):

Speaker 18 (01:41:42):
It's so good, it's been real.
Speaker 17 (01:41:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:41:52):
This is like godsends, like better than anything's to say.
Speaker 13 (01:42:28):
There.
Speaker 6 (01:42:28):
Yes, guys, that was basically a snapshot of the entire
franchise of Road Rules. As you can see. There's so
many moments that I think people can identify with, and
so many things that people can identify with that weren't
on the show. Ou obviously, but what a riot it's been, guys.
(01:42:51):
I want to thank everyone for coming here on stage tonight. Scott,
You're fucking amazing as always, But I want to thank
everyone from out there for keep keeping a fan of us.
You know, without you, guys, there's none of us, whether
it's road Rules, whether it's the you know, the previous
real world, whether it's the Challenge franchise, whether it's All Stars.
If we don't have a fan base, then we have nothing.
(01:43:12):
So you guys have been such a loyal fan base
to us. I think speaking for everyone on the stage,
I love you guys. We thank you guys so much. Julie,
thank you for always being a steward of the show
and pushing it along. Alicia Farnaz.
Speaker 3 (01:43:25):
But but I remember, I remember like.
Speaker 6 (01:43:27):
It was yesterday, getting that first call from John and
Maryel saying, Hey, Mark, You're actually gonna get to do
the show. And I remember hanging up the phone and
calling my parents and my brother and just being like
so thrilled because I didn't know what really I had
in store for me in thirty thirty years later, like
having the friendships that I have on the stage, and
being able to go to the places that I've been
going and hopefully we'll go on for many more years.
(01:43:50):
It's so amazing. So thank you, guys. Give yourself a
round of applause, because you guys are fucking great. So
thank you, guys.
Speaker 3 (01:43:55):
I appreciate it real quick.
Speaker 1 (01:43:59):
Give it up. We call him the Godfather, not just
because he has no kids so he's all of our godfather,
but honestly, give it up because, as Jim Johnson said,
this guy he was almost on Real World Los Angeles.
Speaker 3 (01:44:13):
Yeah, he was almost a short fill in on Real
World San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (01:44:18):
They went with Joe, who, as you know on Gaullat two,
went home after a day she called the cops. But
good thing you weren't, because you know butterfly effect, you
know what I mean. I don't know that you would
be the Godfather. You would be, you know, the random
eighth guy on Real World San Francisco. This guy, Honestly,
if I look, I already do not look as good
(01:44:39):
as him, and I'm not even forty, but if any
of us have the energy and the drive that he
has at age fifty four years old, look at that man.
I think we would all be very happy give it
up for the Godfather of Mark Law because and I
do thank you, guys. Do you appreciate it? New York
gypsy shouting about I do. I want to say, I
(01:45:01):
start every Challenge made a podcast by saying you didn't
come for me, you came for d. If you came
for d you're all very disappointed he's not here. Buddy's
here in spirit. Give it up for Derek Zinsky.
Speaker 6 (01:45:11):
Yes, give it up for d.
Speaker 3 (01:45:22):
Buddy's here in spirit. Give it up for Derek.
Speaker 6 (01:45:25):
Yes, give it up for d.
Speaker 1 (01:45:27):
Who if he didn't, if he didn't get brought back
on the challenge after a seven year hiatus and decided
to text the only guy on his phone who he knew,
maybe knew how to do a podcast back in twenty seventeen,
And boy did he make a good decision.
Speaker 3 (01:45:41):
We wouldn't be here today. But when Derek can't make it,
the Godfather fills in.
Speaker 1 (01:45:45):
And this one today was a labor of love for
Mark and I because look, I mean real world, obviously
we love the real world, Cyrus everybody part of the
real world. We love the real world, but road Rules
has a place in our hearts, but specifically in Derek's
because he was a road ruler, and in Mark's hearts.
And we spent the last year really planning this to
(01:46:05):
make sure we could do it on the thirtieth year anniversary.
Technically it was July nineteenth. We're here on July twenty seventh.
We could have done this no offense, but in cities
like Chicago, New York, where we do a little better sometimes,
we wanted to do it in Los Angeles. Where are
the people who helped make this show, make these shows
could be here with us today. You saw us congratulating
(01:46:27):
them and shining the ambout make some noise for them,
the people who make the shows.
Speaker 6 (01:46:31):
Thank you, Julie, Thank you for nowas thank you Alicia.
Speaker 1 (01:46:34):
We're flattered that you guys came and hopefully we made
you guys proud. To all the people who weren't on
stage here today but came to support the Cyruses. A
Mayas the tailors, I don't know if he's here, but
the colons who came to and a lot of people
who couldn't be here but wanted to be here. But
to you guys who's still thirty years in want to
come and hear people talk about this stuff. People say
(01:46:55):
to me all the time, they go, you go up,
do you do a podcast about the challenge? You go,
what if the challenge gets canceled? And I go, Ah,
you silly? No, I say, you silly person. I go
If say I worked on the challenge, that would be
a big deal. But the day if let's say hypothetically,
this show gets canceled, road Rules hasn't been on the
air since two thousand and seven, and you guys are
(01:47:15):
still here to hear us talk about it. So we
want to thank you guys for coming out. I want
to thank everyone on the stage here today. I don't
want to chie you up on name, but you know
who you are. We love you guys. They love you guys.
If you have the VIP ticket, stay in your seats,
you're gonna get to meet them. You're gonna get to
thank them personally. I want to me how much they
mean to you. If you don't have the vipople see
(01:47:36):
you next time. We appreciate you guys. Exiting in orderly
fashion We're gonna do a nice group post photo. I
encourage you guys post them on social media. Hashtag challenge mania,
hashtag road Rules thirty, hashtag bring back road Rules. Make
your friends jealous? Who went fucking voting today or whatever
they did? Who made the worst decision of their lives.
(01:47:57):
Cheers to you, guys, and as those people in the
video said, cheers to thirty years of road Rules. Who look, Hi,
I'm hit the music. We appreciate you guys.
Speaker 6 (01:48:07):
Thank you guys so much, Thank you enough for keep
us podcast debuting today.

We love you.
Speaker 3 (01:49:11):
Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 1 (01:49:14):
There it is, guys. What a special day, What a
special show. Thirty years in the making, but also literally
that show was at least a year in the making
as far as all the coordination and making sure as
many of the road rulers that were there could be there.
And I know a lot of people were sorely missed,
but the people who were there meant a lot to
us and everyone who was there in spirit. Please pass
along to your friends and neighbors that this is up
