Speaker 4 (03:38):
I basically just do everything all the creative directly when
it comes to Network the City and I'm putting the
show together, getting vendor, getting designers for the show. Kind
of just kind of look for all the local plan
of talent that we can when when we're throwing the show,
so everybody can get exposure and be able to grow

(03:58):
their business slowly with us.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
This is the master This is the master mind behind
the fashion shows right here.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Okay, okay, yeah, I was looking at some of your
content on I G Man, definitely high end, high end
fashion shows and it ain't no light walking. The part
is definitely some nice fast show you guys put together. Man,
I'm definitely proud of you. Man, So shout out to you,
no problem. So, hey, what what inspired you to?

Speaker 1 (04:26):
You know, do fashion do fashion shows and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
More of it was just just the way because we
live in a small city, so more of it was
just a way to kind of just bring the community
together in this kind of just bring all the small
brands that aren't known and get them started somewhere where
people will see them and know what the what what
they're doing, what they brand is about, and how they're

(04:51):
trying to go forward.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Okay, okay, okay, you guys got upcoming shows coming up.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yeah, April twenty second week fashion Brunch of Emotion show
going on.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Okay, okay, okay, love do you want to say to them?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, So to add to what he's what he was saying,
So basically we created this.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
This business to kind of give more exposure to the
small businesses, the small local brands, to to kind of
get more awareness.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
To the community because, like I told you the other
day at the.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
Gym, and I mean we're we're quicker to go to
the mall and buy some Louis Baton or something from
from foot locker. Well, we have our friends that have
their local brands, like right here were rocking heat Press.
This this is one of my homeboys. I mean, this
is his brand.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
So we we represent for the local community. We were
not to make mother anything small businesses.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Okay, okay, you you kind of froze there for a second.
CD Los.

Speaker 4 (06:09):

Speaker 1 (08:31):

Speaker 2 (08:34):
We got some giants here, guys, So definitely, definitely definitely
guys being tuned.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Share it up and let's get it. Leave comments, guys.
Is that better? Yeah, let's get it.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
But yeah, Like I was saying, though, Man, that's that's
a nice little brand right there. I like that y'all rocking,
And that's what it's all about, man, supporting each other
brand and going to new levels.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Man.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Like you said, a lot of people rather go by
li will be time Gucci and stuff and support Gucci,
but instead of supporting their own come you know, supporting
their own people. You know what I'm saying around the culture,
like around around town and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
I respect that a.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Lot, man, Like what you're doing, you know what I mean, Hey,
that's fired, man, and respect to that.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Man. You got like you guys are being leaders, you
know in the communities.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Man.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Kids are looking up to that. You know, we gotta
be the We gotta be the the the example. You know,
you guys are being an example of telling kids, you know,
go out there, start your own clothing brand, get in
the fashion shows, you know, be great and be successful.
You know what I'm saying, don't be in the streets, like,
don't do none of that. That that's that's nothing. You know,
you guys are doing great being examples, being leaders. I'm

(09:50):
really proud of you.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Yeah, gotta be.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
You're right, You're right, right, I was. How does that look?

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I say, yes, sir, Now, I was just fortunate to
meet y'all man like myself, man like you guys don't know,
but I has to be homeless, like I started my
clothing brand when I was in a homeless shelter, you know,
ill I was a hope and the dream man. It's
just a support for my community where I came from
out there in main really helped me out a lot

(10:26):
in my clothing brand. So what you guys are doing
is phenomenal, you know what I'm saying, Because you got
others out achieved their goals.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
That you guys achieved your goals, you know.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
So anything I can do man to help you guys
out more, I'm here, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Appreciate. Look, we're looking forward to to seeing more of
your clothing brand too. Yeah. I mean, I know you
showed me a few things, but I want to see
a little more.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
I got you, man, I got you, I got you.
I've just been so focused on his boxing career. Man,
you know how that goes.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
But like I said, though, man, so talk a little
bit more about the fashion shows and talk a little
bit more about you know how y'all got it started.
You know, successful high for me so far. Any any
connections did you help anybody, anybody get exposure for me?

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Fashion shows and stuff like that, Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
So, Like first fashion show was twenty twenty two in October.
So we had that first fashion show here to say
about like maybe two hundred people showed up to that one.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
We're not even talking about that's then you know we
got then that's more. There was more than.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Twenty people ever, just at attendance we had. Then we
had the vendors, then we had the designers and everybody
there thinking for them. So we had the first event.
We had maybe twenty five models that showed up.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
I'm gonna say.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Three makeup artists, three or four hairstyles. Shout out to
the Pitty Kraso, you know, she coordinated that event the
first aven and she did a great job at that time.
But yeah, we the fact to think about the fashion shows.
They bring a lot more people in just one specific person.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
It's a diverse thing.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
So when you have a fashion show, you bring the
clothing brands together. They bring models together, bring hairstyles, make
the part of the topics.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
The barber.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
Everybody is incorporated into one show. So that's the great
thing about a Fattis show because.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
You get it now.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Yeah, So, like the more important thing was the fashion
show bring everybody together. I'm not telling you I was
a fashion enthusiast.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
I was. I'm not just buying the clothes that I
want to buy.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
I wonder whatever makes me feel comfortable. But I thought
the fashion show was just great way to bring everybody
together and.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Just get everybody connected.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
And that worthing, which is why we call it that
was the city because we bring we bring in the
whole city to get and be able to look at
each other and learn something from each other.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Okay, okay, I like that.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
I like that, right, Yeah, And then we moved on.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Today we wunning through a show inside our local mall,
which is virtuy Mall.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
And that I mean, I can't tell you how many
people came to that, but then we packed out them all.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
I can play you that much. That was a free
show that we did for the community on Christmas time
just to give our toys to the kids and just
everybody give a good vibe and Christmas year.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
And that show ended up really doing. We had about
ten designers for that show.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
We had twenty models today, a few hands out, a
few neighbors others. Shout outs at no and Simon for
a coordinating back event. And yeah, this one of the
third shows that we're doing in April, and we're hoping
to do really big, big things that just want to do,
especially that we're incorporating brunch Animals. We're gonna have live

(14:02):
artists for local artists there. We're gonna have we're gonna
have two dances there performing. We'll have w h Academy
performing and then we'll have to really high school teams performing.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Uh. A few artists, uh, Queen Jewels cool.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
We got a lot of few artists we got here,
so but we got we got a lot. We got
a lot of vendors too. So for the local community,
come out support our local vendor. That's the main that's
our main goal to get a lot of exposure to
these local vendors. I mean, give them some type of
motivation to go out and and do more than just

(14:50):
sell clothes out of their crib or out their basement,
you know what I mean, go out and expand their business.
So and also for the models to to expose to
to to get a little more exposure and a little
more how you say it, a little more experience, so
when they go to bigger fashion shows, they're already prepared

(15:12):
from from the small fashion shows that they had in
the local cities.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Okay, okay, okay, I like that, man, I like that.
You guys ever been out the city doing fashion shows?

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Like I know there is a got we got Philly
Fashion Week and stuff like that. You guys ever got
into them with that?

Speaker 4 (15:30):
We've gone to them, We're not, we haven't been a
part of them. Yeah, we've gone to a lot of
fashion shows. Actually definitely support outside of the city, supporting
all the types of restons going on, and just trying
to let.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
People know what we're doing.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
That way, our people locally get more exposure from outside.
Uh Okay, So we put a lot of legwork into
it outside of just ourself. We try to make sure
that we keep out to our name, which is next
with the city. So we make sure we go outside
of the to networks so that when we have our show,
we're bringing people from outside of the city to see
people inside out and that will help them sprouting and

(16:07):
get help.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Okay, I like that.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
I like that, mister Lowis. And I got a question, man,
So when you hosted these shows, man, like, what gives
you that drive that ambition of and get the mic
man to just start hosting?

Speaker 5 (16:23):
Well, growing up, we I had we had a little
rap group and stuff, so that kind of that kind
of gave me a little a little how you said,
gave me. That gave me that energy to be able
to go on stage and talk with the people. But
I always liked I always had that vibe. I'm I'm

(16:45):
a people person, you know what I mean. So I
like to interact with people. And when I'm on the mic,
especially at these type of events, like I'm talking to
the to the crowd, making sure that they go to
these vendors, making sure that they follow the models, make sure,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Like, I interact a lot with the community, so that helps.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
That helps the fashion shows a lot more to be
more interesting and not just because most fashion shows you
go to, it's like, all right, we're just going to
a fashion show and it's just models.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
There's no holes, there's nobody entertaining the crowd and nothing
like that.

Speaker 5 (17:24):
So that kind of that kind of gave me a
little drive to to motivate the crowd and make it
a little different, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
But but I also do the.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
How you frozen in the yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Next connect it is bad. Yeah, but yeah. So I
just took into to hosting like Barbara expos.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
Now because I'm I'm very heavily into that community, into
the barber industry. And last year I hosted my first
barber Expo in Virginia and that kind of that kind
of gave a little more exposure for myself to other

(18:28):
Barbara expos. I was able to host the Burgs County
Barber Expo just a few weeks ago and it was crazy.
We had about fifteen hundred and sixteen hundred people in attendance.
And that right there gave me the opportunity to go

(18:48):
host another one in April, the Latin the Latin Barber Expo.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Okay, okay, so I'm going to Jacksonville next month. You
know what I mean, and this is what we're doing.
We're just networking and making these moves.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Yeah, man, definitely making moves, man, definitely, Like I said,
being an example, so if a kid wanted to get
into a fashion show, they can come right to you guys.
You know, you know and the look out. I like that, man,
Like that's why I'm all about to man, because I did.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Know anything else possible.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Definitely, man.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
Yeah, and even and even if they want to start,
like start a start up a business, we could definitely
point them in the right direction into the people that
that can help them out, you know, to get their
LLCs how to start up their business.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Heah you guys close again yeare you go help be back?

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (20:00):
So, like I was saying, I could we get we
could get them to get their LLCs how to start
up their businesses.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Okay, Okay, that's what's up. Man.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
I know I know my daughter want to get in
the modeling. Man, I know who I'm calling now. You know,
I got two kids, man, that love fashion. So my
daughter loves fashion, and you know my son he's tall,
so he can be definitely be in the fashion So
I already know who they're calling.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Now.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
But other than that, man, you know, just tell the people, man,
tell the people. Man, Like about a little bit more
about you guys. Man, you know you know where you
guys are from, like that you know really about your story?
You know, because I believe that everybody has a purpose,
a story behind their purpose.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
You know what I'm saying, Like something led that to
your purpose, you.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Know, like me, for example, being homeless for five months,
getting left in Maine, losing my mother, losing my father
who was my grandfather, Like that all drove me to like,
you know what I'm saying, go out there and be
great for them, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
So what about you guys.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Were bad?

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Yeah? So yeah, we were saying so like you were saying,
oh yeah, Like what's you guys purpose behind? Like like
my purpose?

Speaker 2 (21:33):
For example, like my mom died twelve years ago, my
dad died when I was fourteen. You know, I lost
my grandfather, I lost like a lot of loved ones,
you know what I'm saying. And that kind of drove
me to a point where like I have to be successful.
So like what's your guy's story, Like, what's what's the
reason behind your purpose?

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Well?

Speaker 5 (21:51):
Me, I'm originally from the Virgin Islands, from Saint Croy's
and it's a very small island. H So yeah, like

(22:17):
I was saying, I'm I'm originally from the Virgin Islands
from Saint Croix and it's a small island, uh, basically
eighty four square miles. So I came out here to
get a little more exposure and opportunity that we don't
get out there in the Virgin Islands, you know.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Uh I did. Like the way I grew up, I
wasn't I wasn't exposed to a lot of the city life.
I'm more of an.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
Island country, country vibe guy. So but when I came
out here, I learned and I was exposed to the
different culture that the US had to offer. And I
met my boy Chris about like ten years now, ten thirteen,

(23:11):
thirteen years ago.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
We was out here in the city, you know, up
to Noga, doing what we do.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
But after we grew up and we had our families
and whatnot, we realized what we did back in the
day wasn't you know, it wasn't something that we want
our children to grow up doing, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
So we wised up. We try to we try to
do things better and set an example. So this this
is kind of our purpose.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Yeah, basically making sure that our children don't go the
same route that we did, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Yeah, like that A right, man, you're right, we got
we definitely got a you know, the team doing what
we're doing.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Man.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Like I said, I'm proud of.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Both of y'all. Man, really proud of y'all. Y'all doing
your thing. N p A, you know what I'm saying.
And you're just helping the city grow, you know, you know, evacuating,
you're not leaving the city. You're staying right here in
your city, and you're making it happen in your city.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
You know. Really that's the purpose to put ready on
the map and let like know where we're at.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Yes, sir, now you're right about that. You're right about that.
Louie Melinda said, fire. So I told you guys, we're
gonna have a fire conversation. Man.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
But I do apologize man for the technical difficulties, but
we're definitely gonna do this again.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Though.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
I'll tell you that this ain't the only one we're doing.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Man.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
We can't. You can't be the only what we're doing.

Speaker 5 (24:48):
We're gonna get you guys with some updates on the
event eventually, so we could come back in like two weeks.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
So we we gotta have you. We we gotta have
you at the event.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Man.

Speaker 5 (24:57):
You can come over there interview with some of the
the vendors, I mean, get them on your podcast. This
is definitely a good way for them to get a
little more exposure to and and kind of get some
some kind of you know, courage and new eyes, you.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Definitely, I'm in the building man. You already know.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Man.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Once I joined that gym, Bro, I'm locked in.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
It's like family. Then, it's like family there man. So
my boy said, let's go, you know. So I'm always here.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
Man.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
They called me the Refresher Bro. That's my nickname. That's
my real name. Now I changed my I changed my
name Sean to Refresher Jackson. But I just love refreshing people, man,
because sometimes somebody need to hear that. Hear what your
guys just say, you know, because some parents aren't doing
that what we're doing right now for our kids, you know,
So hearing this right now man is very important, very key,
because some parents might need to hear this.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Right by now. You know only that some parents might
need an outside perspective and need help putting their kids
in the right direction. They might be too busy trying
to put the food on the table and need their
kids to go somewhere and be somewhere where they're not
gonna gain trouble.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Yeah, you're right about that.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Like I was raised by a single mom, so I
know it could be for single mom man. You know
our single days out there that's doing it along too.
So that's one thing we like to just make sure
that everybody it's not just you know, everybody needs out
in every single way. It's not just business. Everybody is
still be personal, he too. And we could try to
do what we can and with the events to get

(26:32):
that type of help.

guys on my guys out there, John Blasting Gang, Marcus
Blasting Gang. You know, some of the giants in the
fashion industry, like Marcus for example, was like jay Z
and Beyonce and like Trey Song's fashion design. You know

(27:00):
what I'm saying, crazy stuff, So like I can get
them come down here, man, show love and just look
into these upcoming models that we got here and ready man,
you know what I'm saying, and get them in other
fashion shows as well too, get them more exposure. Right,
there's a there's a Model of the Year contest coming
up in May where that the model of the Year
gets a contract to Paris, a full spence contract to

(27:22):
Paris and a full spread or stream magazine coming up
in May.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
So I mean, I'm not gonna be in it, but yeah, definitely.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
We might have to. We might have to be part
of that.

Yes, in Jersey. It's gonna be in Newark, Jersey at
the Mary Ee.

Speaker 3 (27:41):

try to network as much as we can, so we're
always in New York. We were supposed to go today

gonna have to make it sacrifice.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Sacrifice that man came on the show Man, despite the
despite all the difficulties we had, it still came up
to be a fire show. It was some gyms dropped.
You know what I'm saying. My man said he inspired somebody.
He said, Man, I need to get back in the modeling.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
