study the Bible less study, less study, and of course
with a top with a heating like that is a
range of lessons we can learn from this study of
studying the Bible.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
And this morning we of course we are talking about
the patriarch Abraham and the cutting.

Speaker 6 (20:24):
Off of the foreskin, and he told Abe and to
cut off the foreskin.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Allow it to be a token of the covenant.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
And today we're.

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Talking about our covenant, our token with the Lord to do.
What is our token? And we can basically call it
to token of love because Jesus tells us, if you
love me, keep my commitments. And what we're studying on
is the fact how can we in today's society, what

(20:58):
is going on in today's.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Cut off sin? Cut off sin?

Speaker 3 (21:06):
And we are studying in that we we are.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Looking for antidotes.

Speaker 6 (21:11):
We're looking for how to stay strong in Jesus Christ
this morning. So, my friend, if you want to hear
the antidote of how to cut off sin, keep your
ears on at least until.

for the Oscar to pray for here on chatting from

we have requested from time to time. You can send
it to my messenger pagement email, or you can put
on under any program that you are listening to. And

(25:39):
if you have a prairie request that you want to
keep confidential, hey, that's fine with us.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Here aren't chatting from the word.

Just simply say, brother Oscar, pray for me and call
my name, and we be so blessed.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
And sod to do.

Speaker 13 (26:03):
Just that.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
Of course, this is our prayer time and we need
keeping our prayers, those that have been requested prayers from
time to time, those.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
That have lost loved once many have lately. Many of
our entertainers, those not wrestling fields, those that have been
part of our.

Speaker 6 (26:23):
World on TV, stage and screen, many of them been dying.
But yesterday Hogan died. Yesterday. He was a wrestler that
many have came to know and from what I can see,
before he died, he became a believer in Jesus Christ.
And of course uh Shamarrow, Malcolm Warner, family need to

(26:50):
pray for them and of course the great trumpet player
of family.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Just so many of them died in this month, one
behind the other, and that.

Speaker 6 (27:00):
Just let me know, beal Oscar, you know that, hey,
we get't on out of here, and the best thing
that we can do is put Christ first and make
sure of our faith in Him. Make sure that we
are believing according.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
To the scriptures, my friend, that is very very important.

Speaker 6 (27:26):
So we need to keep those not prayers that have
lost loved ones, those that have sickness going to cancer, diabetes,
high blood pressure, dementia, and the list just goes on.
When it comes to our sicknesses and those in the
hospital we need to pray for them.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
This we do.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
And of course we need to pray for all of
our young.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
People striving to make Christ for Christ in their lives
and to put Christ first under all the negative peer
pressure that is going on in the world today. And
of course we need to pray for this government in
which we live. We need to pray and pray and

pray that they never make laws forbidding.

of thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions, Wash me

I done this evil in thy sight, that thou might

direct direction hitting to heaven.

Speaker 2 (37:50):

for those they are.

Struggling to maintain a Christian harm. Pray for our young
people that are struggling with negative fear pressure. Pray Father,
for those that are striving to reach a high education

Speaker 2 (38:09):
Far we pray for those behind prison wars.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
WHI we pray that they use the of them time
to think about what they've done and maybe change or
be a member of.

Speaker 2 (38:18):

Speaker 6 (38:19):

Speaker 2 (38:20):

Speaker 2 (38:56):

Speaker 1 (39:03):
Man who.

Speaker 9 (39:21):
See to.

Speaker 5 (39:26):
To he is.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
M cool cool Mary said.

Speaker 14 (40:05):
She nay.

Speaker 8 (40:30):
Nay girl.

Speaker 5 (40:37):
Cool.

Speaker 6 (40:58):
Heymen and amen, oh lotter, thank you for reading our
scripture chext along with us for praying along with us,
and that's always we hope that we prayed for something that.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
Is on your mind. Amen, and a man.

Speaker 6 (41:32):
All right, all right, all right, when you hear the bell,
it's time for our chat.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
And first of all, brother.

Speaker 6 (41:41):
Oscars, to say to you, this morning is again good morning,
and to welcome to this beautiful program chatting from the Word.
And our attempt is to bring you a quality and
it qualified church program, a quality and a qualified program

(42:08):
in the Lord this morning.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Over the years for the Oscar, just hope that we
have done that.

Speaker 6 (42:16):
We will always stay prayerful when it comes to our program, because.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
This program is the vision that I've had years years ago,
and I am so thankful that the Good Lord had
brought it to be that we are discussing God's word
with you and to trying to to some and I

(42:47):
guess to some to allow them to know that Heaven
is real.

Speaker 6 (42:54):
Hell is real, and our Lord loves you, Our Father
loves you, and he wants you to be in Christ.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
God wants you to be in his son.

Speaker 6 (43:07):
His son wants you to be in Him working, allowing
the Holy Spirit to work along with you through all
your anxieties and the problems and the headaches that some
may be going through living in the world that really
do not do not And I guess I can express

(43:28):
that with common explanation as clamation points, but in a
world just really don't respect of.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
Love the Lord.

Speaker 6 (43:43):
And at times, you know, at times many of you
will see many will have that believe in Christ. But
you know, we're living in the world today we see that,
at least in this era, churches of Christ their closingess doors.
And when we're close the doors of the Body of

(44:04):
Christ where our location is that we're closing salvation out
to those who would in the area who we want
to know Christ Jesus, you know, a Church of Christ,
the Body of Christ here, if we're working together to
preach and teach the word of God to get the

(44:24):
message of hope, salvation and love around.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
We should never.

Speaker 6 (44:28):
Close the door of a local church that's striving to
teach and preach God's word. They're striving to help the community,
They're striving to work in love. And this is the
problem that most of us are having today in the
Body of Christ.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
We don't want to work together.

Speaker 6 (44:49):
We rather destroy a good brother, our good sisters who's
striving to work together to bring it all together for
Jesus Christ. We want to be little of them and
treat them that like they do's come on the earth.
But what we need to do is embrace each other

(45:09):
and to help one another. And this is what we're
gonna talk about this morning, how we should embrace and
love and help each other.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
But before we get into our chat, you know, brothers
going cheer, do correct.

Speaker 6 (45:25):
Yes, yes, yes, go ahead on and have your favorite
morning drink coffee, teae, milk, juice, hot.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Chocolate, cold chocks. Not the horse up throw out at
the window.

Speaker 6 (45:37):
You don't need that, and get relaxed. He relaxing your
reclining chair, recline on ou if you more relax itting
at your dine that table, go ahead on and have
a seat. But what we request that you have this
morning is a copy of God's Word so that you
may see where we are studying from you. If you've

(46:00):
been following by the oscar for quite some time, you
know that's the only book that I go by is
God's word that was written in his word, no commentary,
no other man's thoughts.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
But what is written in God's inspired word.

Speaker 6 (46:21):
And many of us today we need a bi book
to go by to find was containing God's word.

Speaker 8 (46:31):
But if you.

Speaker 3 (46:32):
Notice by the Oscar, we don't do that.

Speaker 2 (46:34):
We study the.

Speaker 6 (46:35):
Less of courts of scriptures, that we go by what's
in the scriptures. We don't add, we don't take away
from the scriptures. We just tell you what the scripture says.

Speaker 3 (46:48):
And my prayer is that we may.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Keep doing just that.

Speaker 6 (46:56):
Where you have so many that the other Maggie zinges
and books to tell them the truth of the Word
of God. But here on chatting from the Word, we
only use the word, which is Christ. And to us
here espress. To me, it's a blessing to me that

(47:20):
I'm able that the Lord enables me to do what
I'm doing is a blessing.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
And I don't think that I'm so high mighty.

Speaker 6 (47:29):
I don't think that way, and I pray for those
that think the velost could think that way.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
But I'm nobody special. I'm just like any.

Speaker 6 (47:39):
Other person that's striving to make heaven of my home,
striving and like I said, in the world in which
we live today, that is not easy. And I'm so
thankful that we're able to chat with you about the

(48:00):
lesson that we're chatting with you about this morning. We'll
we're basically talking about how to study the Bible, uh, basically,
and and I guess under that under that topic we
can talk about anything.

Speaker 3 (48:15):
But we're talking about how to study the Bible.

Speaker 2 (48:18):
Called many many to be honest with the many just
don't know how.

Speaker 6 (48:25):
That's why many are caught up in false teachings because
many don't.

Speaker 2 (48:30):
Know what the right teaching is.

Speaker 6 (48:33):
And Paul tells us to do what uh in Timothy,
that Timothy to rightly divide the word of truth. It's
the right way, and it's the wrong way of dividing
the Word of God. And some of us were all
caught up in the back going being obeing to the
old Testament are the old agreement when we should be

(48:56):
in Christ Jesus, which is the.

Speaker 2 (48:58):
New Covenant or the New Agreement.

Speaker 6 (49:01):
And most of us we don't recognize God's hand are
God's works. And this within this lesson, we talked about
how God dealt with men in the first first that
deal with man, the patriarch age dislersation, then the Mosaic dispersation,
and now today dealing with us in the Christian dispersation.

(49:26):
And we said that the Bible is written and prospectively
and retrospectively. Prospectively, when we read the Old Testament, see
things coming to be in the New Testament. The New Testament,
we can go back and read things retrospectively contained in
the Old Testament. And today that's what we're talking about.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
Today.

Speaker 6 (49:49):
We are talking about how God to Abraham to be circumcised,
cutting off the foreskin and all that to be a
token of the covenant or the agreement that they made together.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
And we've been talking about and have been with us.
We've been talking about what is our token today?

Speaker 6 (50:14):
What is our token and our token today? If you
are brother Oscar to say this, our token.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
Today is love, not just a surface love, not just
a love.

Speaker 6 (50:31):
I loved you, but with no action. We're not talking
about we're talking about love. And my friend, when you
love someone, there's action behind that. You don't have to
worry everybody. It should not be a job to show
someone that you love them.

Speaker 2 (50:49):
Amen. But in the world today you'll find out that
some people are caught up into.

Speaker 3 (50:58):
How to love.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
You would do this cold love.

Speaker 3 (51:01):
The Lord and the ass is love is our token
to him as.

Speaker 6 (51:08):
Cutting off being circumcised to say Abraham was between them.

Speaker 2 (51:13):
Our token today is love.

Speaker 6 (51:16):
And the way we show love today is to be
in Jesus Christ and be a new creature.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
All things are passed away, all things become new.

Speaker 6 (51:30):
And that is the way we show our love today
is being a changed person in Jesus Christ, being different,
embracing Christ Jesus, and loving Christ Jesus. But many of

(51:52):
us today, as I said, are called up into the
difference between keeping the Old Covenant and keeping the New Covenant,
and many want to grab something that is in the
Old Testament, our old Covenant, to say we got to
bring it in the New Covenant. Instead of reading the

(52:13):
New Covenant and deed into Christ Jesus.

Speaker 2 (52:17):
We still want to bring on the Old Testament or
all the law, all the bylaws, all the sacrifices. We
need to cut that off. We need to cut that off.

Speaker 6 (52:32):
And here yesterday we mentioned how want to read. One
way we can do that is have fellowship with one another.
And John said that.

Speaker 2 (52:42):
In first John won one through ten.

Speaker 6 (52:45):
John recognize that's through our fellowship that helps us to
be strong in Jesus Christ. John recognized that as Paul
recognized that we all have said, John, recognize the same here.
We're all are capable of sinning, and that is the

(53:09):
reason why we need the fellowship of one another, so
that we may help one another to be strong in
the Lord.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
But many are so are so caught up in self
that they cannot see that.

Speaker 6 (53:33):
Many all are caught up in self pleasing look at
me attitude that they don't recognize that that love where
you become a Christian, you.

Speaker 2 (53:46):
Love one another, you help one another, be there for
one another.

Speaker 6 (53:52):
But most of us we don't want to show that
love that we and we still all caught up talking
about each other. I see it on Facebook, I see
it on all the things that comes on the innet,
and I guess the end that that made it so
easy for us to really down each other talking about

(54:12):
each other being our opinions to you, But my friend,
have you actual lust? The only opinion I'm concerned of
is what's contained in the Word of God. And the
Word of God tells us that we should love each other.
And if you want to know how to cut off sin, as.

Speaker 2 (54:34):
John says here in first John, verse six.

Speaker 6 (54:40):
Said, fellowship, fellowshipping with one another, fellowshipping with.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
Each other helping each other.

Speaker 6 (54:56):
Because we're all. John says, we all have sin. Paul said, well,
all have sin. We're all fall short, and we can
help each other to get back on the horse. If brother,
can you this scenario, we all can help each other

(55:17):
to get back on the horse and ride a man,
brother Oscar.

Speaker 2 (55:23):
But we weren't talking about how to cut off sin.

Speaker 6 (55:27):
How can we get in control of our if I
can say this of our sinful nature, because it becomes
part of our nature, becomes part of our makeup to
for some to sin. So I'm in the habit of
a sinning and don't recognize they are sinning. And that's

(55:49):
why I say, our nature to sin?

Speaker 3 (55:51):
How can we.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
Overcome that? And one is fellowship, bring with one another
to help one.

Speaker 6 (56:01):
Another and to stay in God's word and continue to
study God's word. Turn with us quickly, And we want
to read Romans twelve. Romans twelve says this, And I
love Paul writing here in Romans twelve because Paul, to me,

(56:24):
he makes plenty of sense if I can use that phrase.

Speaker 2 (56:33):
And Romans oh twelve, Romans twelve.

Speaker 6 (56:42):
Says and I love this, and I as a young preacher,
you should knew this to help me do my struggles.

Speaker 2 (56:52):
And here Paul telling them Roman Church these words Romance
chapter twelve. Paulse I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies
of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy.

Speaker 6 (57:17):
Acceptable into God, which is your reasonable service. Here Paul
is saying that this is what you're supposed to do
when you claim you love the Lord. This is what
you're supposed to do when you are Christian.

Speaker 3 (57:37):
This is what you are expected to do if you
love the Lord.

Speaker 6 (57:42):
But most of us, when we look at the words sacrifice,
are sacrificing ourself to a cause that doesn't help us.

Speaker 2 (57:52):
We get upset. But it does help us in so
many ways. And some of us that we can have
a fifth outward of showing of help. Many of us
don won't have nothing to do with it, do we?
But here Paul is telling us that it is our

(58:18):
reasonable service. This is what we suppose to do.

Speaker 6 (58:25):
How many religious did they are arguing about say by
grace and grace?

Speaker 2 (58:30):
Only may are arguing that fact.

Speaker 6 (58:35):
Yeah, we'll say by grace what Jesus did on the cross,
We'll say by grace, that is grace.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
When Christ when God wakes us up in the morning.
That's grace. Will God give us our next breath to take?
That's grace.

Speaker 3 (58:49):
God gives us grace every day. But we still yet
must show that love.

Speaker 2 (58:59):
That Christ and God has shown us.

Speaker 6 (59:04):
And then Paul said, and be not conformed to this world,
but be ye transformed body, renewing of your mind, that
you may prove what is that good and acceptable and

(59:25):
perfect will of God.

Speaker 2 (59:29):
I'm gonna let it be my last thought. But many
of us today we have problems with conforming. We're being transformed.
Many of us.

Speaker 6 (59:49):
Still want to think worldly. Many of us still want
to limit our love for the Lord. How do you
know about the come?

Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
Many of us as still argue, do we just want
to come on Sunday and worship the Lord?

Speaker 6 (01:00:07):
Is it wrong to praise Lord Mondays through Fridays and
Mondays through Saturdays?

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Is it wrong to sing Psalms? Do we just only
do it on Sundays?

Speaker 6 (01:00:20):
My friend, To be honest with you, if you love
the Lord, if you love the Lord, praising him, loving him,
connecting with him, studying your Bible, praying, it's a lifestyle,
not just only something we do on a Sunday. Our

(01:00:44):
Monday or Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
It's a lifestyle. It's a lifestyle of praise. It's a
lifestyle of praying, it's a lifestyle of singing songs him.
It's a lifestyle. And when something become a lifestyle, it
is a part of you, is insight of you. It

(01:01:10):
is something that you can't help but to do. Okay,
it's something that you can't help but to do. That's
all I have for you this morning.

that this week been good to you.

Speaker 6 (01:01:51):

praise the Lord on is Day and you were here,
brother Oscar, once again, it would be his will on Monday, Monday, morning.

that kingdom is here.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Thy will is being done. Father.

Speaker 6 (01:02:18):
Help us to constitue your will. Father, help us to
counsel live your word. Help us Father, that we may
add the things that we're chatting about to our lives
into our everyday thoughts fall. We pray for all of
our listeners, for we pray that you be with them,
help them through all the struggles that they are facing.
Help them to have a beautiful once for day. Help

(01:02:41):
them to have a good weekend and on Sunday, help
them go.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Praise the Lord.

Speaker 6 (01:02:47):
Now, may the grace of God's week, conminion of the
holys very rest rule and bide with us till.
