that's going on this week. Look, I'm excited to talk
about it. I know you're absolutely excited to talk about it.
(01:38):
But you know what I want to ask you guys.
You know there is a thing you know, Listen, Fantasy
football is deep. I've always said, you know, my husband,
he has his little fantasy football team, and I'm not
allowed to interject, intercede, or say anything to him during
(01:59):
his time of everything football from what twelve o'clock to
eleven o'clock at night. I'm like, bra bruh, Seriously, man,
do any of you you know I'm speaking to women,
I'm speaking to men. I'm speaking to whoever has a
(02:21):
partner that is a major fantasy football fan. Okay, I
go through this every year, and then he has the
audocity to get upset when his team loses, Like, uh,
excuse you. We go through this every year. You have
not been a champion in what two three years now too?
(02:43):
Three seasons and you know, granted he has won the
championship with his fantasy team. Keyword fantasy. I mean, you
really think you're the cult here, right? You really you
really think you are? Because I mean, it was a meme, right,
it was a meme of this little girl so hilarious.
(03:05):
I wish I could pull up that recording. Maybe we'll
find that in plug this in. But you know, she
was like, it's like they're planning the wedding, you know.
And it's true. They all get gathered together, all the
menses and get their players as if they're getting paid
a salary each week. I'm like, it's fantasy. It's fantasy.
(03:31):
Oh my goodness, for its loveliest, let us know your
thoughts on social media, but listens for as lovelies. I
want you to like, it's on Facebook, all us on
Twitter or the ats so whatever they're calling it these days.
They hit us up on the grammar and let us
know your thoughts on social media. No spats, lovelies. It's Saturday,
and I know what you can't here to do, and
(03:53):
that is to do what talk sports. Yes, the spas lovelies,
So let's talk about it. Elena Hawk. So, our Atlantics
preseason finale against the Oklahoma sit Yit Dunda on October
seven ended with a tight one oh four ninety nine
loss for our Hawks, but of course it was an
opportunity to see promising performances, especially from those young players.
(04:18):
And when I talk about the young players, I'm talking
about Kobe Bufkin. He stood out. He let the team,
scoring thirty one points, showing his potential to contribute significantly
as the season is progressing now. Despite the loss, buffkins
performance is a positive takeaway for our Atlanta Hawks. But
what is positive coming up? You know? Our Atlanta Hawks
(04:40):
is to host the Brooklyn nets Are Opening Night presented
by State Former on Wednesday, October twenty third. Make sure
you're in the building. Listen. The season twenty four to
twenty five has been done and I'm super excited. We
have so many new potentials and a lot. This is
a new season, a new era, and I'm in for
(05:00):
the win, right, Yes, I am those first lovelies. I
remember speaking to you our Midechell And of course you
know I told you that the Ladyballers and Junior Hawks
keeps out their Junior NBAV. Yes, what an impressive, impressive event.
It was now this event that Atlanta Hawks. They hosted
(05:22):
just two amazing youth clinics UNAE age eight to fifteen, dribbling,
shooting and working together like the pros now of course
it was just was not about basketball. Okay, we're talking
about science, we're talking about tech and life skill tools.
And of course this all went down at north Side
(05:43):
Youth Organization and you know what, I got a chance
to speak to Senior Director of HOTS Basketball Academy, Chris Jacobs. Yes,
and we had a really you know, up close and
personal interview and yeah, I let's do this right now.
Let's go ahead to plug that interview right now so
you hear what you have to say about the two events.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
So Chris, let's talk about just the Lady Boters and
Junior howts US Basketball Clinic celebration of tenth annual Junior
NBA Weeks powered by Google. Let's talk about that and
just explain the environment currently.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah, well, today we're here at North Side Youth Organization
in Bucket at chats Stain Park and we're celebrating Junior
MBA and Junior WNBA Week. Earlier this morning, we had
our Lady Baller's Clinic powered by Google Cloud where over
sixty girls participated in that with us in the gym.
(06:42):
And right now we've got our Junior Hawks clinic where
we've got over sixty boys participating with US. So we're
excited to really start and tip off the NBA season
with this Junior NBA Junior WNBA Week and hosting these
two clinics here at NYO.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Such an exciting time. During the Lady Bowlers planning earlier,
they portrayed in STEM activities thing explain that as rough.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
Yeah, in collaboration with Google, they had some of their
reps on site that helped put the girls through some
STEM activities and the activity was a signs focused activity
that was focused on light and understanding the how and
(07:27):
why that we see and get colored. So really cool
an art light box that they brought for the girls
and the girls got a chance to play with that
and listen and learn from the Google reps and take
that home with them and utilize that at home. So
really fun activation and something that they know learn in
(07:49):
addition to what they're getting on the court from our coaches.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Now, can you just talk about the importunes of Atlanta
Hot just empowering the youth both on and off court.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Yeah, that's you know the Hawks and who.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
We are as a company, our DNA, who we are
as a Hawk's Basketball Academy. It's about a total person
and so we want to give and provide these kids
with opportunities to grow with the game of basketball. But
also there's a lot that goes into the game of
basketball that translates into life. And so when we're working
(08:24):
with these kids, we're working to enhance their skills on
the court through individual instruction, group instruction. They're playings and
three on three, so kind of taking learning basketball shooting
and passing and dribbling, ball handling, defense, then progressing into
playing three on three and what they do together on
(08:48):
the court. There's benefits related to transitioning into life skills
and respect, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, all that comes from being
part of sports. And so for us, it's very important
to make sure that not only are we giving them
the resources to help them and they have the ball
(09:10):
in the hand, but also things that can help them
when they don't have the ball, you know, and that's.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
Important for us absolutely.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Now, looking towards the future, what can we expect from
the HOUTS Clinics.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Yeah, for us, you know, our clinics are always going
to be about access to play for all skill level,
so boys and girls, we have beginners, intermediate, advance with
all types of kids that come through these clinics, and
most importantly for us, we want them to have fun.
We want them to be a part of these clinics
(09:42):
and be in a safe, inclusive, fun environment. And we
hope that those that really, you know, want to continue
to play the game and love the game, that they're
going to get the teaching and skills they need here
at these clinics. That's going to help them excel in
theirrectly and make their middle school teams, make the heighst
full team, maybe go on and playing college. Maybe one
(10:03):
day put that Hawk's jersey on and play for us.
So that's that's the hole, is that this develops a
lifelonge of passion and lovely games and.
Speaker 1 (10:12):

eight to twenty victory on Sunday, October thirtieth at Bank

there wind column. It was a statement of dominance in
the NFC South. Of course, while the run game took
center stage, quarterback Kirk Cousin officially managed the passing game,
completing nineteen of thirty attempts for two hundred and twenty
five yards and a touchdown. Cousin's provided the necessary threat

The Links narrowly added out the Liberty with a final
score of eighty two eighty tiny the series two and two,
enforcing a decisive Game five. Now. Cala McBride was the
standout from Minnesota, leaning the team with nineteen points in
showcasing her efficiency from behind the arc. Her clutch shooting,
combined with strong contributions from teammates, kept the Leaks ahead
(18:36):
of this tightly contested game. Now, despite a spirited effort
by the Liberty, who were hoping to clish their first
WNBA championship, they fell short in the closing motes. Now

is New York Minnesota, is gonna be my team of
preference for now. But you know, the twenty four twenty

will be back supporting all Lanta dreams. But in the meantime,
you know, kudos to the ladies of the WNBAA kudos

awkward situation and you thought it was quite offensive? Yeah,
you were like, oh, you know, that shouldn't happen rue,
But then someone that's close to the situation tells, you
know what, I didn't take it like that. You just overear,

Speaker 2 (24:15):
Scott, We're serious about writing for you. That's spore for
sixty seven nine one seventi.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Okay, okay, spruit slovelies. My smh OMG moment is upon us.
The family of Walter Blackie Whittle, the black beat he
who served as the face of the Washington Redskins for
over forty eight years, is now advocating for the return
of his image to the field of the NFL. You
whatsll was a prominent Native American leader, designed the iconic
(24:48):
Redskin logo that featured the profile of Native American chiefs
in a traditional hat draft right. This image was used
by the team from nineteen seventy two twenty twenty, when
the franchise retired its controversial name and logo due to
mounting pressure from advocates against the use of Native American
(25:09):
symbols and of course, the names in sports now Whistle's
family they have expressed that the logo, in their view,
was a symbol of pride and honor and meant to
represent the strength and dignity of Native American culture. They
saw it being removed as a loss of recognition for
Native people, particularly the Blackfeet tried. You know, some Native
(25:30):
American groups have supported the logo retirement, while others, like
Whitstle's family, believe that the logo risks respect. We should
be restored. It's part of the team's identity, especially the
recent reconsideration of teams rebranding under its new name, The
Washington Commanders. Now it's forts, Lovelies Love. Here's the thing,
you know it, Listen, we're in a different world. Our
(25:53):
world with our reads are so different. I had like
a heated discussion with my husband about this because I
was like, you know, maybe maybe we you know, maybe
we did kind of go overboard with this or maybe
you know, and then you have to think, you know,
some things that may be considered offensive to you may
not be offensive to others. And then yeah, there are
situations here in my world, you know where I had
(26:16):
to like reconsider maybe it could be a tad big,
you know, offensive unless you know, reshape that or restate
those statements or whatnot. So yeah, I think, you know,
ultimately there has to be a meeting of the minds, right,
I think Washington commanders should come together and figure out
(26:36):
you know, just a a a middle line. Right, Let's
come together and figure it out. I think, you know,
ultimately the change was a good change. I don't think
it was a bad change. But again, you know, I
am a big fans were Seloves, A big fan of
old school TV, from the Jeffersons to like you know,
(26:57):
Archie Bunker believe it or not, of course the Goading
Girls on that's on our playlist and on repeat. Okay,
we're gonna watch the Golden Girls that even any given
moment in fat I might watch it after this podcast.
But you know that to keep focus, to carry Keith focus, well,
I'm saying is to say, looking at some of those
(27:19):
old school TVs. Some things that they said, we're very controversial,
especially in our time right now, especially Archie Bucker, especially
if you don't know who Archie brock squestion lovelies for
the young ones, you need to go back and see
who he was and what he said. Funny show, but yeah,
very controversial, It could be very offensive to suff Could
(27:41):
those shows last in this day and time and age.
Absolutely not, And it could be the same situation for
the Washington Commanders formerly know as Washington Redskins. We're in
a new day, a new time, and what was okay
for that time period, you know, from nineteen seventy two
to twenty twenty is not okay for this time. And
(28:03):
here's the thing, sports Lovely. Before we wrap up our estimates,
own key moment, I want to say, you know, change
is not always bad. You know, change comes at any
particular time and moment, and it's a part of our life.
We have to just roll with the punches because changes
come all the time whether we like it or not,
and it must come. But ultimately we must we must,
(28:24):
we must, guys, we must remember we have to evolve.
You know, it's part of a evolution. It's part of
being a human. Part of humanity, you must evolve, and
that is my estimates. Be sure figout's in the sports
dot com for the sports and it's likeness on Facebook,
falls on Twitter, or that's whatever they're calling it these days,
(28:46):
and hit us up on the grammar and let us
know your thoughts on social media coming after after the breaks,
my special yes, stay too will be bad. Have you
(29:07):
been injured in a car accident or a slip and fall?
Have you found yourself at us with the insurance company
and unsure who are to turn for help? That personal
injury trial or your latle money, Scott, maximize the value
of your personal injury claim by focus on getting the
money you deserve so you can focus on healing catastrophic
personal injury premise and personal liability serious auto, track and
(29:28):
commercial vehicle cases. Call us today. That's Sporeal four sixty
seven one nine one seven two. Personal injury trial or
your little money Scott. We're serious about fighting for you.
That's Spooral four sixty seven one nine one sevent My

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Short of remarkable. How did that experience shape your vision
for a neuro fit three sixty Atl, Well.
Speaker 7 (30:20):
I was able to see exactly what it was that
the community was missing. I was never a part of
the community prior to getting shot, and then once I
got shot, I was able to see kind of the
wholes of things that have been missing based off of
my experience.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Awesome, awesome. Now again, that is so amazing. Your journey
is just again remarkable. But I definitely want to just
shoot the question over. It took Camille could just speak
on just being a co owner and partner in the
business and how have your support and contributions to build

So just speak on just everything that you are doing

we stay afloat, but I will be honest with you,
it's very Uh. I like the thrill of it because
it's something it's something new for me, and I like
to be able to figure try to figure things out
and and you know, keep my hand in the pot.
I find myself to be a very hands on kind
(31:31):
of person, right, So, if I'm being honest with you,
just being able to learn it as I go has
been very rewarding for me per se. And then also
trying to figure out, you know, how I can you know,
work it out as being a mom, a wife, and
a business owner. I was able to see my mom
(31:51):
work in the corporate growing up and also trying to
you know, juggle us as me and my sister doing
a difference between what she was doing back then and
what what I'm doing now is I have the help
of my husband.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
My mom was a single mom.
Speaker 8 (32:06):
So essentially it's very rewarding. And I hope and pray
that what I am doing and what I'm I'm trying
to do on an everyday basis is uh is being
is being uh what's the word I'm looking for.
Speaker 7 (32:20):
Help y'all there?
Speaker 1 (32:22):
Receptable? Yeah, it's being received.
Speaker 8 (32:28):
So I I it's it's just.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
Exciting, awesome. I love that. I love that it's being
multi talented. Look, being a superwoman it's not easy. Okay,
we see you. So that is so amazing, But I
definitely wanted to just ask, maybe just both of you,
what advice would you give to expiring entrepreneurs, especially those
who want to build businesses with a purpose like neural
(32:53):
Fit three Sisty. Now, again, this is so such a
meaningful impact on the community, Please speak on just giving
some inspiration to those who are just inspiring entrepreneurs.
Speaker 7 (33:07):
My advice to anyone aspiring to open or to become
an entrepreneur is just do it. It's not an easy road,
and it's not a road short of challenges, but it
is a very rewarding road and you will never know
what's down that road until you do it.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
Absolutely, Camille, do you have anything to add.
Speaker 8 (33:29):
Yeah, I would say that I think I've seen a
quote circling around social media. You miss one hundred percent
of the shots you don't take, So essentially, at the
end of the day, like like Lakwan said, you don't
know what's down that road, but knowing that you you
took the chance and betting on yourself is definitely worth
(33:51):
worth taking the risk.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Absolutely absolutely, unless back up just a couple of minutes
and just speak on just it through syst and just
focus focusing on just helping individuals recovery from neurological conditions.
And I guess just kind of talk about what sets
your approach to rehab and physical therapy apart, and I
think you can just integrate cutting edge technology into the services.
Speaker 7 (34:18):
So having cutting edge technology is very important for this
type of service. A lot of physical therapy places have
minimum technology, but the better the technology in some cases,
the better the results. So opening up neuro fift thirty
sixty with the intention and purpose of having this cutting
(34:42):
edge technology and cutting edge therapy, which are the things
that separate us from any other neurological rehab for center.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Wow, wow, that's wonderful, you know what, just thinking about
your story and just how you just overcame so many adversities.
Such an inspiring story indeed, of course, but can you
just speak on how do you use those personal experiences
just to motivate and connect with the clients facing their
own physical challenges.
Speaker 7 (35:13):
So that is one of the most important things that
I have. Even more so important in the therapy and
the individuals who we have treating at our center is
my story. My story is so relatable to all of
the clients.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Absolutely.
Speaker 7 (35:31):
I was watching a podcast the other day and the
guy said, how can you tell someone how to lose
weight if you've never been fat? You know right, those
people don't resonate with you. They're going to say, well,
what do you know about being fat? How you going
to tell me?
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Right?
Speaker 7 (35:49):
And no one in my facility could say that. Everyone
always comes to me and says, man, you're such an inspiration.
I'm glad you've come so far, and I use my
story to to tell them that just no matter where
you are does not mean that's where you're going to
end up in the future.
