Coverage for the NFL Falcon Strap.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Okay, now let's talk a little bit about the other
side of the film. Same building, just a different fill.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Our Atlanta United, the five strikes. No luck, guys.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Oh, if the struggle couldn't get any worse, it happened
Ortlanta United. They just couldn't find their rhythm. On Saturday
night at Superaru Park. They fell three to two, three
day zero to the Philadelphia Union in a match defined
by injuries, mischances.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
And time.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
We goes from of course, our home team, our home site. Now,
with this loss, Atlanti and night In only has nine
points on the season of the Five Stripes. They look
to rebound next Saturday, April twenty six, when they travel
to Florida, you know, to face Orlanto City s c
at entered in Cole Stadium. They'll kickoff is set for
(03:25):
seven fifteen. I know, I know, I know. Look, guys,
we have so much that's happening with our Atlanta United team.
It seems to be a.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Travesty in the making. But you know, I.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Still have faith and confidence that this team, can you know,
turn it around? Although you know it is set worst
start since they're franchise beginnings. And look, look, dies, I
am a strong believer. It's not how you started, but
how you finished. So let's go five stripes. Let's go
ahead and get this w and continue on in the season.
(04:00):
So yeah, a, yet it's still kind of early. We
still got you know, we still have some time, but
let's not procrastinate. Let's get some wins. Okay, Now, let's
move right on to our atl Hawks.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Yeah, our Atlanta Hawks.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
The twenty twenty four twenty five campaign has come to
a close and went down on Friday night after the
team fell to Miami Heat in.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Overtime one twenty three to four to fourteen in the
Soulfi Plan Tournament.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Now, despite the early postseason exit our Hawks, they shookcase
several of the qualities that just define their record setting season,
unselfish ball movement, right, aggressive defense, and gritty rebounding. The
loss definitely closed out a season filled with both individual
brilliance and team milestones for adults, but most importantly, the
(04:47):
journey ends in the play in. Now the foundation is
set for the future for our Atlanta Hawks, and after
the game, this is what Trey Young had to say
about just the whole entire season. And also this is
kind of I'm gonna go ahead and play coach Quinn's first,
So this is what Coach Quinn had to say about
(05:08):
the playing game, and after that you will be hearing
what Tree Young had to say about the game as well.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
This year has been full of a lot of things.
We'll go through them all adversity and many different changes
and sizes, which is, you know, typical of the NBA
season and typical life. But I thought the way that
this kind of paneled those games, you know, over very
(05:39):
big maybe plus games, it's something that's committed. Also felt
like our team, both individually and collectively, you know, guys
just kept rying were one perfect. We didn't play well
all the time, but there was a commitment from guys
individually to improve. I think you saw that take place
(06:02):
over the course of the year. No matter who joined us,
who was in, who was out, there was a mindset
that it was about us getting better. So to have
a team compete the way they do tonight and understand
that you wanna keep getting better and take all these
(06:24):
things with it really have to pull out to say
about what next. I was trying to enjoy this, but
I I did wanna, you know, really articulate specifically how
proud of this group and the way that did stuff
together and the way they can they can even uh
do what.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
It came down to, I think both teams really be
your hard in the hard fought game.
Speaker 5 (06:49):
And uh, I think you came down to a couple
more many shots and you.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
Gotta give 'em credit.
Speaker 5 (06:54):
Some of the some of the guys.
Speaker 6 (06:55):
That don't use the man shots did a couple more
shots at night, and uh, I mean, yeah, so you
gotta give them credit. Maybe a two much shots and
us I think you found hard. Definitely thoughts keeping.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
But listen, guys, we are definitely still so so just
thankful to be able to cover the Atlanta Hawks and
of course the Skyhawks as well.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
As the season.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Comes to a close, we definitely want to continue on
to just you know, support our Atlanta Hawks. You know
you'll be seeing more of us, you know from AFAR
whether we'll be doing community or whatnot.

Speaker 1 (07:35):

and again you know postseason is coming upon us and
there's going to be some changes. There's gonna be quite
a few changes, and we will be here to report
it till stay tuned. Now moving right along too more
NBA news. Listen, Timber, We'll set the tone for day
one by storming into La and dismantling King Brawn and
(08:00):
Luca and the Lakers by twenty two points and time
the largest routine game one win margin of the past
six years. While back east, the Knicks overturned a four
point deficient with a twenty one and all fourth quarter
run to stun Detroit. Now Denver rallied from fifteen down
to outlasta Clippers and overtime, and Indiana legged by as
(08:20):
many as twenty points in a comfortable victory.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Over the milwauk Heed Bucks.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Now Sunday slates feature the top two seededs on east
side and that includes Orlando at Boston, Miami and Cleveland
in the east, Bought a Bay, Memphis and Oklahoma City,

in the least Growth. With thirty eight pictures spread across
three rounds, all thirteen teams, including expansion franchise Golden State
Valkyries look to shape their future with young talent. As
Wiley anticipated, the Dallas Wings selected you Come Superstar bag
Buckers with number one overall, picked centineling a bull step
toward title contention. Now let's get on to our hometown team,
(11:58):
Atlanta Dream Who. Of course, the Atlanta Dream made three selections,
aiming to compliment their young core with high IQ, high
motor players who can make an impact on both ends
of the floor. The picts reflect that new head coach
Carl's vision build a roster that prioritized perimeter shooting, positional flexibility,
and of course, relentless defense. Second round, eighteenth overall Tahna Palpal,

My god, Oh no she didn't.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Oh no, she didn't.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Oh oh no, this is for journey. Okay, okay, sports levelies.
My smh OD moment is about us, and it's going
to Colin Kaepernet, who's apparently still training for the.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
NFL return nearly a decade later.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Now, Tamzi's forts have kind of got in contact or
caught up rather with Kaepernet's longtime girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
And she says that, you know, he's staying.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
In the gym, quote busting his ass off unquote in
the gym, despite years away from the lead. Now, this
thirty six year old remains committed to staying.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Ready should a team in need of a quarterback comes
a calling.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Now, you know a lot of people have a lot
to say, I'm just gonna keep it one hundred and
not really be negative. I think I might be optimistic.
So I'll just say this, you have to always stay
ready to be ready. Now, any of it that a
team calls. I mean, at this point we all kind
(16:56):
of know, you know what, the likelihood of that happening.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
But I want to be optimistic.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
I want to keep, you know, be a an optimistic standpoint.
Could be a situation where he gets called in to be,
you know, assistant coach somewhere somewhere. Anything's happening, anything could happen,
Anything could happen in these martn day and times of
our life.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
So I'm not going to be a hater. I'm not
going to say anything.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Rude or mean or anything, because that's just not my
imo here. Chickson is square some I'm always uplifting others.
If you have a dream, go full throttle. I don't
care if it takes you ninety nine years to get
to that dream. Do what you need to do. And hey,
stay ready. Can't get ready unless you stay ready, right,
So that is going to be what I feel about
(17:46):
this story. And I think you know again, you know, hey,
he's been out of the league again for nearly a decade,
But that's not a problem. No, no worries. Anything could happen,
any drop could come a calling, and hey, we'll be
ready for that day. But most importantly this goes to
everyone stay ready at all times. And that is my

My next guess is a business consultant who has helped
others establish home care agencies, sports selevelies. Please welcome Start
Chatman too. Chicks in the sports. You have a lot
going on liberal chattel, sports and minute, but let's talk
about what's most important. I want you to just go
ahead introduce yourself to the listeners, because look, you have
(19:57):
so many ventures and you are so quite di versus.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Go ahead introduce yourself.
Speaker 7 (20:02):
I think great.
Speaker 8 (20:03):
I'm so happy to be here once again. My name
is Start Streaming Chapman. I'm from Kinston, North Carolina, wife,
mother of two.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
My husband and I we have a home care agency
that we've been doing for ten years. We're making our
mark there. We've also opened up a laugh where, you know,
we're getting those new contracts for the laugh.
Speaker 8 (20:27):
I am a mentor of my mentorship program is Start
the Accelerator. You can find me at start accelerator dot com.
And yeah, we just got a wholest little things.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
You know.
Speaker 8 (20:39):
We fostered for ten years and we've got some projects
going down there. We have a scholarship that we do
every year for the kids. So the scholarship season, we
got dad going on. So yeah, we staying busy around here.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
But you know what, I want you to just talk
about just being a founder and just journey just your inspiration.
I know you've had a lot of personal experiences, so
can you just talk a little bit about just your
experiences and your influence to just make that decision to
focus on helping people and others establish home care agencies.
Speaker 8 (21:17):
Of course, but growing up, you know, I was I'm
a product of public housing, so just you know, growing
up there, just seeing a lot of struggle, you know,
going through struggle myself, I knew that that was something
that you know, I do not want to experience as
an adult, and I do not want my children to experience.
So growing up, my grandmother she took care of, you know,
(21:40):
individuals in her home. So some of that became my
inspiration just seeing how she cared for people, and when
she got older, you know, my parents cared for her.
I had a experience of caring for my other grandmother.
She lived with myself and my husband for a couple
of years and we were able to take care of her.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
The biggest thing with our aging population and disable population
that I've seen that a lot of them go into
the facilities.
Speaker 7 (22:08):
And they don't make it home. So that was one
of my.
Speaker 8 (22:11):
Experience, Like there was just some some inspiration to me
to you know, just want to keep you know, the
the aging population, disabled population in their own conference zone,
in their homes, just to kind of maintain, you know,
some of that independence while still receiving some of the
best care.
Speaker 7 (22:29):
That you know is available.
Speaker 8 (22:30):
So that was just some of my inspirations just seeing
you know, how people would care for you know, in
the home, how we care for our our grandmother, you
know in our home.
Speaker 7 (22:40):
So yeah, that was that was some of my inspiration.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
You know, I definitely can't understand that because I feel
like sometime in our community we don't necessarily have the
education to just kind of help our loved ones. And
I'm just going to be honest and transparent. I had
an elder, elderly grandfather who had all Hamer's and I
became a caregiver and it was so very hard. But
had I have the resources and you know, just had
(23:05):
some education behind me how to approach everything. I think
it would have been a little bit different because eventually
we did have to go to those facilities, and like
you said, once to go there, sadly they don't come
back home. Now, I guess my question to you would
be just your background, you know, from accounting to education,
how did that shape your approach to business and development
(23:29):
and also mentorship?
Speaker 8 (23:31):
Just being an educator, I did realize, like, how you know,
your gifts are what.
Speaker 7 (23:39):
Comes to you naturally.
Speaker 8 (23:40):
So I throughout the years me mentoring people and just
educating them all different things, it.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Just became it came to me naturally. So I was like,
you know what, I need to turn this into a business.
Speaker 8 (23:55):
Because every time I tell to rask somebody to come
into me for some type of avice on something or
how to.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
How do you do this? So how do you do that?
Speaker 8 (24:03):
So I say, you know what I'm gonna I'm gonna
turn this thing into business. So that that's really you know,
how it shaped, you know, us going into business and
the mentorship aspect of it. When I started my business,
I had a mentor, one of my good girlfriends here
is you know, she was doing that business and she said,
(24:24):
you know what, I take you under my wings and
I will.
Speaker 7 (24:26):
Mentor you and I owe that you know everything.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Uh, that mentorship allowed me to you know, get on
pace and do what I needed to do.
Speaker 6 (24:39):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
My whole point in our mentorship program is to.
Speaker 8 (24:43):
You know, help the young entrepreneurs that you know want
to go into business. May not know how, you know,
to actually you know, get the business off the ground,
but I want them to be able to do it
at a faster pace and do it right and not
make so many mistakes and run into some of those
peak holes like we.
Speaker 7 (25:03):
Did in business.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Absolutely, I'm so glad that you mentioned that, because you
know there are a lot of challenges at times. But
can you just share some of your common challenges that
your clients face when starting their business and how does
your program kind of address those issues?
Speaker 7 (25:22):
Just some of the pit foles that they following.
Speaker 8 (25:25):
Just the paperwork, you know, the the application the I
saw somebody earlier, just that hurry up and waiting. You know,
you submit this and you may not hear bad you know,
from this agency for a couple of weeks. So in
the meantime, you know, people get discouraged. But in my program.
(25:46):
I'm there to keep them on pace. While we're waiting
for this, we're gonna go, we're gonna pivot, We're gonna
do something else. We're gonna focus on our education part
of this. We're gonna focus on the things that we're
gonna teach our staff. We're gonna focus on some of
those policies and procedures, you know, things is going to
actually develop and keep our business where it needs to
be while we're waiting on you know, the agencies to
(26:08):
make their decisions and you know, get back to us.
So just kind of keeping them on pace, keeping them motivated,
you know, letting them know.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
That you can do this.
Speaker 7 (26:17):
So that's what we're here for.
Speaker 8 (26:19):
And once it's done, we don't just kick you out
and say, you know what you've done it. If you
get your business off the ground, you know, see like, no,
we're there, then we hold our hands, you know, even after.
Speaker 7 (26:32):
They're doing so. Once you becoming a lumni of you know,
started celebrated program, we got you for life.
Speaker 4 (26:40):
I love that. I love that. You know what, talk
a little bit about this program.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
It remains inclusive and accessible to individuals from many backgrounds.
Speaker 4 (26:50):
Diverse backgrounds can you talk about that too.
Speaker 8 (26:53):
Oh, yes, of course. So within the healthcare industry, it's
not geared to what was one person. It's not geared
to was you know, just people of African American descent.
