(02:26):
and defensive coordinator Jeff you Rich one hundred thousand following
a print call incident involving your rich Son Jacks who
targeted draft prospect Shouldwarf Sanders another lead. They cited the
Falcons for filling to prevent the disclosure of confidential information
distributed to the club in advance of the NFL draft.

(02:46):
Of course, the team has sense apologized to Sanders family
and is reviewing security protocols to rent future incidents. Now,
this story, look, it's so many people have so much
to say. I'm just going at this point, we're kind
of getting over that hurdle and just getting back to
the basics. Yes, this is something that should have never

(03:07):
never happened. Unfortunately it did, but it seems like we're
gonna move on. Fines have been initiated. Two hundred and
fifty thousand the Falcons will receive and of course you
Bridge will receive that hundred thousand dollars fine as well.
Total three hundred and fifty thousand. Yeah, a lot of
a lot of coins. But listened, there had to be
a consequence for this offense, right, So yeah, hopefully this

(03:31):
will never happen again, but we'll see. But again, like
we said, the Falcons are doing their due diligence in
reviewing security protocols to prevent future incidents. Right, So, moving
right along to the other side, the other side of
the Mercedes Vince Atlanta United teen. Yes, our team has

(03:51):
finally I don't know, I'm gonna say they got to win,
but we did get a point, right, Atlanta United. They
battle Nashville, South Carolina to a one in one draw
today at the Bens in front of forty one thousand,
eight hundred and ninety three fans. Now, listen, guys, this
was a you must need because our Atlanta United team

has been really, really struggling. Now, Miguel Almeron scored his
third goal of the season, moving into second all time
in club history with twenty four goals. Bruce Lennon made
history with his fourth assists across all competitions, becoming Atlanta's
all time assists leader, and of course, Brad Guns and

(04:32):
Booze made key safe se late to preserve the result.
Now Atlanta returns to action. I made a tenth when
they take on Chicago Fire in a way match. Now, luck, guys,
we got to roll for our team, Atlanta United. They're
still edit to win and we definitely will be rooting
for the Five Stripes. Let's go Five Stripes.

Glad stand out, Derek Nesmith he has been promoted to
director of Community Engagement. Now listen, this is after a
historic playing career, two seasons behind the benches head coach.

(05:18):
Now mister Gladiator as we would call him, well now
focus on strengthening the team's connection with the community he
called home for nearly twenty years. I'm really excited about this,
right because Netsweth, Derek Nesputh, such a great guy altogether,
love love, love that he was a a player team

(05:39):
captain b had a chance to be a head coach
with the team and now you know, taking on that
community engagement which is must, must needed, especially in the
time of you know, off the ice activities. So I
definitely am happy about this. Congratulations again to Derek Nestsfitth
as he entered into a new journey you know, in

(06:00):
his career. So nothing but props and kudos to Derek. Now, guys,
look this week, all right, Atlanta Hawks.

Yes, Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels was named the Kia
NBA Most Improved Player. The NBA announced that Daniels was
the only second player in franchise history to earn this
prestigious honor, joining the legendary Alan Henderson from nineteen ninety
seven to nineteen ninety eight. Now, look, guys, I had

(06:32):
a chance to go ahead and ask, you know, Dyson,
you know, just about this journey that he's on and
what would be the message to not only just players,
young players, but also the fans who've just been riding
it out with Dyson this season. So, without further ado,
this is what he had to say. Congratulations again Dyson

(06:58):
on winning the Most Improved Player. But I guess my
question to you would just be just thinking about just
this major award. What would you say to just the
younger players and maybe the fans that are going along
with this journey with you in Atlanta? What is your message?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Uh? You know, I just want to Yeah, I just
want to say thank you and grateful, you know, especially

lot more media attention, media attention this year, and you
know that's that's that's a big, a big part of it,
you know, going into these awards and stuff like that,
and you know, my fans and stuff like that. You know,
I appreciate it. You know, the support I got in Atlanta,

(07:36):
I definitely felt it, you know, always out there on
the floor seeing my jerseys being warm, people want to
stop signed. Hear my name being opened. The crowd like
the love in Atlanta I got was was special. So
the fans, you know, the media, you know, whoever, whoever
it was, you know I felt the love this year,
and you know it was a lot of fun playing
in Atlanta.

the surging Indiana Pacers, while the Celtics will battle the
red hot New York Nets. Now out West Oklahoma City
Thunder awaits the winner of a thrilling Game seven between

Welcome back for ce lovelies. It's that time. Wnba nes Okay, okay, listen, guys,

(11:56):
this right here is giving me Mmmm not so, but listen.
Fever fan shared disappointment over Kaitlyn Clark's failure to engage
with crowd. Now listen Mini fans they celebrated the Indiana
Fever's preseason debut. Of course, supporters express frustration over a

(12:18):
mismoment with star Kaitlin Clark. Posting to a Facebook, a
fan described being disappointed after Clark, who set out the game,
did not stop to sign autocrafts or idiot with front
row attendees. Even with her not playing, she sure did
not have enough respect for the fans. In quote, she

(12:40):
said on a post and listen, this is like a
rare moment of criticism amid this. You know, rising star. Now,
look here's the thing, guys, Let's let's be honest. They're
humans too. Sometimes they do get tired. I'm not making
any excuses, but me, he has I've seen so many players,

(13:02):
so many players have very positive engagement and interactions with fans,
and there are some times where I'm like, oh, he
do you or Sue missed that opportunity that poor friend,
you know, could have got an autographer, could have at
least got an acknowledgement. But I believe in this situation here,
they're human to you. You know, we have not heard

(13:24):
anything negative about Caitlyn Clark, and I think you know,
it's just one of those moments, right, just one of
those moments. So just chill out, fans, Just chill out.
It's okay. You know, I bet you when you come
here to the A you're gonna have a whole lot
of fan engage where I can guarantee that for sure. Right,
But again, you know what am I to say? I'm

(13:45):
just saying. You know, sometimes you know, fans get overlooked
for whatever reason. Sometimes they do have to go to
the bat you know, and get you know, their little
massages or whatever needs they need that they may require.
But again, you know, things happen. But that's just so
unlike cantlin' Clark. It was just off day. You know,

(14:06):
it was just one of those days. So fans calm down.
It's not that serious. But you know what it's serious
is this net story. Seattle Storm star Skylar Diggins has
fouled for divorce, and this is unfortunately, because you know,
I love love, love love, I love to be in love,

(14:27):
and I love for others to be in love as well.
Here's the deal. Sports Lovelies Seattle Storm Guards Skylar Diggins.
She has fouled for a divorce from her husband of
eight years, Daniel Smith, citing that marriage is irretrivocally broken.
A couple who married in twenty seventeen. They separated in

(14:47):
or on November the first, twenty twenty four and shared
two children. Now the divorce families submitted on March twenty
sixth in King's County Superior Court in the case that
there is no prenuptial agreement neither parties that seeking spouse
of support Smith will contribute to child related expenses, including

(15:07):
daycare and education. Here's the thing, you know, sometimes it's
just not meant to work out. You know, maybe their
chapter has come to an end, but it's unfortunate. You know.
I hope that you know, things will you know, lighten
up and go her way and hopefully, you know, the
two parties will you know, continue to parent and co

(15:31):
parent in a way that is healthy for their children's
It seems like it's not going to be any issues though,
but it's unfortunate. I hate to report then I always
hate to, you know, just talk about divorce. That is
such a sad word, you know, the d word of
all us. But most importantly, you know, hey, it seems

(15:52):
like there's no issues there. They are kind of on
one accord, and hey, you know, somethings, it just happens.
Things happen. But we're wishing the breasts nothing but the
best to Skylar Diggings and her family. Right, So, moving
right along, I know you have been waiting and anticipating,
But our Atlanta dream they will tip off their twenty

(16:14):
twenty five WNBA home schedule on Thursday May twenty second
against the Indiana Fever at State Form Arena, with the
games starting at seven thirty. So listen. With rising talent
on both rosters and playoff aspiration and full swing by
recent playoff appearances and of course, key off season acquisitions,

(16:34):
this match. I promised this a electric atmosphere and a
thrilling start to the Dreams twenty twenty five home campaign.
Now listen, guys, listen, I can't wait. You better be
in the building, because you know what, I can't wait
to be there to cover our Atlanta Dream Team, Let's

our estimate onj moment upon us and listen. It is
spiciest to the ladies. Listen. And I know you've been
waiting long enough. Now listen, guys. I don't know how
far you sports lovelies have been, you know, outside of sports,
how far do you venture? But idal, ma'am I adventure

(19:19):
you know on other you know, venture out from time
to time on other you know, excursions around the world
of sports and entertainment. And I happen to come across,
you know, one of those Atlanta housewives. Now you know what,
Before I say this, I want to give a shout
out to Shemiah Morton, Atlanta housewife. Yes she is, of course,

(19:44):
you know I I believe that was the last game,
last game of the season, and she performed and it
was an amazing time. I had a chance to interview
her and listen, I love myself some Shemdia. She's everyone's
best friend, loving her, loving her. But she's also the
best friend of Porsche Williams. Now, if you don't know

(20:09):
who Porsche Williams is, she is the granddaughter of Joseah Williams.
You know, the Josea Williams homeless feed the homeless every Thanksgiving.
But big thing, big civil rights leader in the community,
marched and was friends with Marlu the King. That's just
a little, you know, snippet of her background. Now, as

(20:30):
I said, I ventured out to the Housewives of Atlanta.
I'm not gonna lie. I've watched you know, season one, two, three,
four five since woman how many ever, you know, seas
as it is, I've been kind of, you know, keeping
in tunes. No, sometimes not all the time, but in
most recent episodes Atlanta Housewives of Atlanta Portie Williams. She

(20:54):
sparked controversy doing a late night gallery by allegedly making
a propriate remarks about Angela Oakley's husband, who happens to
be for our NBA star Charles Oakley. Now, Angela claimed
she overheard Porsture saying she better stopped before I her husband.

(21:15):
Mm hmm, y'all can fill in the blank, sports Lovelace.
This is a very PG show, so I'm not going
to elaborate, but you know what I'm saying now again.
This was in a statement collaborated by one of her
fellow casts members, Kelly Farrell, and of course, Portia has
since the night The comment attributed it to either a

(21:37):
misunderstanding or to the alcohol, stating I don't know anything
that happened. You know. The incident has anticified tensions among
the cast, with viewers expressing disappointment over portious behavior. Now, listen, guys,
I have my feelings about that too, very very much

(21:58):
so inappropriate. You know, somebody else's husband. We're not even
gonna go there because it can spark so many emotions. Right,
just wrong, wrong, wrong wrong. Need to write that wrong immediately, immediately,
without saying much more. Kay, Porsche, we we're your fans
over here rooting for you girl. Fix it, fix it, Jason,

(22:23):
fix it, and that listen, guys, that is my sah

Speaker 4 (24:12):
Yes, Ellen Iverson, Michael, Yeah, my brother, my brother I
knew Bubba Chuck growing up because he's in my age group.
And my brother went to school with Tech with with Michael,
but he knew Michael and Marcus when they were young.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Wow, oh my gosh. I love that. Oh my goodness.
Like the sports connection, I just I'm loving it.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
No, it's like, you know, it's very smart. But I
know somebody know somebody know.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Somebody exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
But you know what I want to talk to you
about just being a black woman in Hollywood. What changes
have you seen in just the terms of representation and
where do you believe the industry still needs to grow?

Speaker 4 (24:54):
Mmmm? Well, if I had to, I've definitely seen the
change in terms of black women are now being represented
in ways they used to be very one note, you know,
you had the skinny you know, love interest, You had

(25:17):
the fat, funny sidekick, you had the unattractive chick running
after the dude that she would never get. Like, I've
seen it change now where you're seeing actual representation of
all black women and not just some bubble stereotype. I
also think that, you know, a lot more Black women

(25:37):
are becoming vocal of the injustices that we face in
this industry and the doors that are slammed in our
faces for merely being black women. I think a lot
of people, and it's a shame to say that they're
not only exposing who we expect, but we're exposing each other.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
That's powerful, and a lot of us are the ones
closing the door on us. Absolutely, But you know what,
speaking of us?

Speaker 1 (26:03):
But most importantly, you work with a major figure Tyler
Perry and other people as well. But most importantly, how
have those collaborations taught you about your story of telling
and business in the entertainment film?

Speaker 4 (26:18):
A lot? A lot? I mean I've been able to
sit at the feet and listen and watch and observe
you know, greats like Tyler Perry and Bill Duke and
John Singleton, you know, uh, you know, Ryan Murphy, Anthony Kimmingway,
you know, watching how they create and make these things
come to life and how they you know, especially you know,

(26:39):
being under you know Tyler Perry for like six years
working with him, and then you know, being able to
not only you know, watch John Singleton do what he
did before he passed, but also being a friend, I
could ask questions that would take me years to learn.
He would give me the information, you know. So I've
taken pieces of all of that and you know, to

(27:00):
what fits me in my life and how I perceive
the rejections and how I receive the blessings. So it
keeps things in a lot of perspective when you know
you have a chance to sit at the feet of
those who walk through the fire before you.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Absolutely, now, comedy it has always been just a space
for truth telling. In today's cultural climate, how do you
decide what boundaries to push or do you decide what
boundaries to respect on stage? So how do you keep
those kind of at bay?

Speaker 2 (27:30):
For yourself?

Speaker 4 (27:31):
I speak my truth, Okay, I mean it's just that simple.
I don't have to worry about offending anybody, really because
I'm not going after anybody. My truth is my truth
on stage, and my truth is kind of centered around,
you know, being a fifty two year old single mother
of a time beautiful and you know, and navigating that

(27:51):
trying to date, you know, going through the period of
trying to find him a daddy and then realizing that
is the daddy.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
So you know, when I go on stage, very rarely
do I offend anyone because I'm not a really big, topical,
trending kind of comic. But I you know, my mentor Darcel,
the fact doctor Blesmin God rest his soul, taught me
to write material that transcends the test of time. So
jokes I told in nineteen ninety nine can still work

(28:22):
in twenty twenty five. So I do maybe talk about
a subject here and there. I mean, come on, who
hasn't talked about Shannon Sharp and his craziness?

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Okay, okay, but.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
It's not something that I'm going to create a very
solid bit on that now. I can't tell it three
months from now because it's no longer trending. Absolutely yeah,
and very really I don't offend because you know, I
speak my truth and I'm not up there to offend.
And if you do find offense in something I say, well,
my daddy always said, only a hit dog hollars.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Hello, I'm good.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Yeah, Okay, Now, what's one joke or maybe a moment
in your stand up career that you feel change your
trajectory or your audience perception of you.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
By divorce?

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Interesting, I'll start with.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
When I got married and when I came to mother. Okay,
but I think the thing that really peeled back some
layers on me and really helped me discover a voice
I didn't know was in me was my divorce, really,
and then after my divorce it was really you know,
coming back outside to date at my age and with

(29:37):
a child and realizing just how crazy that is. And
then of course becoming a caregiver to both my parents
before they passed. That changed. Of course, then the fire
happening that changed my voice, raising a teenager has changed.
I'm constantly evolving, but many, many catalysts have happened that
if you look at my first time I told jokes

(29:58):
on Apollo back in nineteen what the no excuse being
back in two thousand maybe thousand, to my voice now,
it has been a complete evolution of my voice. It
has changed through what I've been going through and who
I am. So as I grow and evolve, So there's
my voice in my material.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
I love that and you're still standing.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
I mean, you've had quite a few challenges and things
that have happened throughout your life, but most importantly, you
are still here out love.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Yeah. Yeah, I mean if any thing, it's the true
testament to my resilience. Strength can break resilience.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
This keeps going absolutely. Now, come on, Coco the Filter.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Let's talk about what's upcoming rolls, business ventures, or personal goals.
Are you most excited about in the next chapter of
your life and career?

Speaker 4 (30:41):
Well, super excited about Twisted Hearts coming out on Amazon Prime,
watching Q and Code of from Films and my boy
Kashan Kashion Jones make this happen, and I know it's
a labor of love, so I know that they are
so happy and I'm so honored to be a part
of it. So I'm super excited about that, Super excited
about the next chapter of my life. I have really
