and we got to talk about this. It's a serious
moment because listen, our atl Falcons were back at it
at the bins for preseason the game against the Detroit Lions,
(02:18):
and it was a summery night at the bench. Let
me tell you it was a very heart fault preseason
game between the Falcons and the Lions, and it ended
in heartbreak and with just over five minutes left in
the fourth quarter, Detroit safety number twenty six more Rice
Morris went down after a collision. Trainers used in After
several tense minutes, he was transported from the field by ambulms.
(02:39):
Now listen. Employers from both sidelines gathered around him, some
kneeling in prayer of their standing arm in arm now.
At the time, the Lions led seventeen to ten. Derrick
Golf threw a touchdown for Detroit, while Atlanta scored on
a thirteen yard pass from East to Stick to Chris
Blair and a one yard strike from Kyle Allen to
Jackson me Now. After consultation with league officials, the NFL
(03:03):
suspended the game. Post game, Falcons head coach Ronie Morris
and Lion's head coach Danny Campbell both offered emotional words
urging prayer for Norris. Later that night uplifting news promising update.
Norris is in stable condition, has filling and movement in
all extremities and will remain at Grady Memorial Hospital overnight
(03:24):
for observation of The Falcons returned to preseason action August
the fifteenth. But I wanted to definitely say this to
you guys. This was such a very scary night, very
very scary. Indeed, both sides we witnessed, you know, just
both sides coming together for the love and concern of
the player's health. It was bigger than football, much bigger
(03:46):
than football. I definitely want to say I we all,
you know, from just the fans, you know, the staff,
the players, media, we were all in full concern because
we just didn't know. We were just hoping that, you know,
the player was okay, and it does happen unfortunately. You know,
in football, injuries happen, some severe, some not so much.
(04:09):
Some could be like threatening, some could actually take your life.
You know. We saw tomorrow Hammling a couple of years back,
his heart stop and it's one of those moments where
you know, okay, guys, aspigative football. So nothing but prayers
and positivity we're sending to North's family. We definitely want
to make sure to see him back on the field
soon again, and luck again is bigger. It's bigger than football.
(04:32):
But listen, guys. Our atl Falcons will return two preseason

do this for a second, can we combine a little
bit of cock On news, you know, Hawk's news with
some NFL for a second, you know, shall we yes,
(05:14):
we shout? So of course, you know, pre season is
upon us. Last night the Cleveland Browns also rolled over
to listen. They just demolished, They rolled over, demolished Carolina
Panthers thirty to ten. But the real story was rookie
quarterback Chador Sanders. All eyes was on Shudor, former Colorado
star and son of NFL legendy On. Sanders slipped to
(05:36):
the fifth round of the draft and has been bowing
you know, Dylan Gabriels, Joe Fleckam and can you Pickett
for the starting role? But here's the thing, Sanders got
the nod to start and delivered he went fourteen for
twenty three for one hundred and thirty eight yards too touchdowns,
and he was looking poise, confident, and in full control
(05:57):
all night. Now the debut caught and I you know,
caught the attention of a special Ato Hawks point guard,
Hi's Trey Trey Young, who posted quote, how can you
not love the Sanders story? Get the hate out your heart?
He's definitely a pro. And yes, Trey, we agree, a
pro indeed. And speaking of the Hawks, let's talk about this.
(06:21):
Basketball is almost back, spertus, lovely, is that you're excited?
Speaker 2 (06:25):

So preseason is going to take off October six against
the Houston Rockets on the road. Then it's gonna be

chance to see how this new love Haught squad is
coming together before the real game begins. And trust me,
you do not want to miss it. Now, can we
kick it over to you know hoops, you know, just
from hoops to the pitch. Perhaps maybe get into some
(07:08):
Atlanta United, he used five strips, yes, yes, yes, so
listen in a season where winds have been tough to
come by, just four sofa for so fall before that
is correct. Atlanta and United reminded their fans they still
have plenty of fight in them. They gotta win. Yes,
increasing it too now one, two, three, four, five wins
(07:29):
now Atlanti United. They slam Atlas FC four and one
on Wednesday night at the Bitch. But don't let that

to you a little about just you know, it's a
little bit about NHL. Right, so we got to talk here,
you know, hockey fans all, you know, hockey fans alike.
NHL is a serious thing for our Atlanta fans, right.
We definitely want to have an NHL team back in
(12:19):
our city. And here's the thing. Let's talk about the
big question, the elephant in the room. Could an NHL
team actually survive in Atlanta or would it just be
another Thrasher style heartbreak. So here's the thing. History check, guys.
We done had our crack at the NHL, right, our
crack at NHL with Atlanta Flames in the seventies, the
(12:41):
Thrashers in the two thousands both pat their bags and
they left. So here's the current state. Right, we got
our ETHH squad, EHL squad, our Atlantic Gladiators. They are
having some great, decent moments. But here's the thing. Does
any of those moments scream to you NHL ready fan.
You know we do have our obstacles, right, we have
(13:03):
crowded sports, no deep grassroot hockey culture and of course
the need for commitment, ownership, willing to write it out
early growing pains. But here's the thing, reasons for hope.
I'm definitely pushing the Atlanta We are booming city. It's
one of the most diverse cities in a country. And yes,
we've got plenty of transplanet Northern hockey fans already eleven year.
(13:26):
So the X factor is the city loves a winner, right,
Our city loves to win. We need to land a
superstar who's committed to building some uping here starts stacking
wins and you will fill those seats in no time.
So here's the thing. A third time, the charm maybe
you know, if the NAHL returns, It's all about patience, guys,
(13:47):
it's all about performers and given Atlanta a team it
can truly call it's one. And that is our NHL
news for the winner. Coming up after the great time
to trade in those skins for some spots. Yes, we
got your Atlanta Vite Volleyball news nets. So don't you
dare touch that down. Will be bad. It's a light,
(14:21):
it's a night.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Loco asps, lovelies and volleyball fans. Big news as the
Atlanta Vite kick off the twenty twenty six free agency
by resigning three of their biggest stars. Leah Edmond, Corey Lewis,
and Acole Jones are returning to anchor the team's championship
run that season. Now, Leah Edmonds, that's coming off a
stellar twenty twenty five season, finishing second in kills and
(14:45):
service aces and earning first team All League honors. We're
the other year. Corey Lewis dominated at the net with
legal leading pitty efficiency, and opposite here, Aco Jones showed
versatility on both office and defense. Now here's a groundbreaking
update for professional women volleyball in the US. The Pro
(15:05):
Volleyball Federation and Major League Volleyball are merging into one
unified league, officially branding ass Major League Volleyball or MLV.
This new MLV will be the longest running pro women's
volleyball league and US history. With independently owned teams in market,
it brings enhanced Governess Martin ownership standards and a fresh
(15:25):
approach to player and fan engagement. Now, the league's first
two seasons have been huge, over eighty million, eighty million
social impressions, nearly one million engagements, two hundred and fifty
thousand followers, and seven hundred and fifty thousand fans attending
live games, plus forty five national televised matches, including a
(15:46):
four hundred and forty five viewer All Star match on CBS. Now,
the newly unified MLV officially lunches their jail or a
twenty twenty six, marking the start of his third season
with teams in Atlanta, Dallas, Grand Rapid, Indianapolis, Ohlaha, Orlando,
San Diego and plans for expansion in twenty twenty seven. Now,
(16:08):
the twenty twenty six season gets off this week. Now listen,
you gotta listen because these teams are building rosters for
championship chase. Now, stay tuned right here well all your
latest five updates and more big news as the twenty
twenty season MLB season beats up. Let's go, guys, because
(16:31):
we know it's a vibe, it's a lie, it's the
size sports lovelace. Coming up next, we've got your sports
teen on a certain truck starting spreading right off the
track and straight into some wild airport drama. Stick around.
This layover is about to get bumpy, will be bad. Okay,
(17:05):
okay's sports and lovelies. I know y'all are thirsty for
the latest scoop, so fasten your seatbeltsports lovely, this right
just getting started. So let's pour up today's sports team.
So Shikari Richardson, Yes, the Lippus sprinter known for her
blazing speed, is making headlines off track now. Police say
the twenty five year old was involved in a heated
(17:26):
confrontation at Seattle to Coma International Airport on July twenty seven.
She's accused of shoving her boyfriend, identified as Coleman, into
a wall, pushing on multiple times, and throwing headphones at him. No.
Richardson told the officers the fight started when Coleman took
her headphones and assisted it was only a verbal argument,
(17:47):
but police says to Verily his video paining a different picture.
She was arrested on fourth degree domestic violent charges, spinning
eighteen hours in jail before her release on July twenty eight.
No list and no court date has been announced, but
the incident has sparked questions about what this could mean
for her career. In all seriousness, we do not condone balance. However,
(18:10):
looks like Shakari's new sprint event is a full speed
dash through airport drama, headphones, flying walls, getting bumped in
and no finish line in sight. Who knew off track
chaos could be this fast and furious that being sad,
she has shown resilience before, Shakari will bounce back. Look,
(18:30):
we do not again condone balance here, figure it out,
Everything will work out. So this is what we're hoping, right,
fans and all, we're hoping she can channel that same
energy to bounce back stronger than ever. And this is
your sports team for the week. Coming up after the
(18:50):
rate is my WNBA new So stay tuned, sports lovelies
will be bad. Welcome back, Welcome back, sports lovely, It's
(19:44):
that time. W NBA. Yes, yes, yes, Look our Elena
Dream are on fire. Thursday night, they dominated the Chicago's
Guy eighty Sisters sixty five, sweeping the season series to
four no and matching their longest win streak of the year.
Alicia Gray led the way with twenty five points, her
(20:06):
third street game with twenty or more. Nowl's Hillman was
a force on the board, grabbing eleven rebounds for the
second game in a row, while Jordan Canada at it
seventeen points, six assists and six rebounds. Pal Pal chipped
in twelve. Ania Coffee brought the energy off the bench
with ten second half points. After trailing early, the Dream
caught fire in the third quarter, shooting over sixty four
(20:28):
percent from the field, and closed the game on a
mass of seventeen and two run in the fourth. With
the win, Atlanta has now I'll take you six of
their last seven games and listen. Next up, they'll try
to keep the streak alive when they face Venus Mercury
on Sunday. Sports Lovely, Sports Loveliest, Let's Go Dream, Let's
go now Look Continuing on with our WNBA news, can
(20:54):
we forget halftime shows? The real entertainment lately has been
court with a neon green flare. Yes, you heard me correctly,
Sports Lovelies, because across the country, adult novelty items and
the color of neo green ones have been flying into
w NBA Corts Lake Larry. That is correct. So here's
(21:20):
how it all started. July twenty ninth, Atlanta Dream versus
the Golden State Valkyries. Two pranchesters were throwing these items
onto the court. One item in particular landed on the
cork lime green. Weeks later, one ascilant has been cuffed
(21:42):
and taken into custy, while another one is still on
the rock. No. August first, in Chicago, the sky takes
on the Valkyries again. Broadcasters caught another glimpse of a
bright green adult novetay zooming into the sidelines. Yes, awkward.
(22:05):
Then Anna gets the fifth. It's the fifth. Indiana Fever
versus the Sparts. Deja vu strikes again, this time Phoenix.
Eighteen year old Caden Lopez then just tossed it. It
hit a man and his nine year old niece. Now listen,
(22:32):
an arena volunteer chased him down and tackled him like
it was Game seven, and he was arrested. Now here's
the thing, spirst lovely, three games, three states, some wow nonsense.
At this point, WNBA might need to add no flying
objects to the official playbook. This is getting crazy and yes,
(23:00):
I'm just saying the saga is not over. I'll tell
you more about it in my esmh omg. That is
my WNBA news for the week. So sports Loveliest spirts

Oh no she didn't.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Oh oh no, this is her for didn't. Welcome back,
Welcome back to sports Love relyase my estimates. Own dream
moment is now upon us And listen, y'all, what is
going on with these WNBA games? Like have to mah omg,
what is nets now? Listen? In a series of incidents
(25:10):
across the country, I've told you earlier about all of
these neo green, lime green, neo green adult novelty items
have been tossed into the court doing WNBA games. Yes
you heard that. Right from Atlanta to Los Angeles. Fans
have been launching these colorful projectiles, causing chaos at several games.
(25:30):
But here's the twists. According to one of our friends,
Megan Hall of us today, the group behind the sun
isn't just some random princesters. No, they're creators of cryptocurrency
mean coins and an exclusive interview she had one of
the princesters who goes by del do underscore rain. It's
(25:51):
faining that they're doing it on purpose to create tensional
symbolic chaos. The goal is just and they're not stopping
anytime soon. Now. Listen. WNBA is stepping up security and
people are questioning where the line is between Internet means
and the actual real world impatholic The big question remains,
(26:12):
is this just and mean going too far? Or are
we witnessing a new kind of online rebellion. Look, we
come to games for buckets, blocks, buzzer beaters, not battery
operated surprises. So come on, let's keep it classy. And yeah,
you pranksters must go. You must exit left because we
(26:33):
don't have time for that. And that is my smahomg
moment for the week. Be sure to check out Chicks
into Sports dot com for further sports news faults on

let us know your thoughts on social media. Coming up
(26:55):
after the rate is my special guests. Stay tuned, we'll
be there. My next guest is the founder of Love
on the Lawn Festival outside of Chicago Sports Levels. Please
(27:18):
welcome my page too, Chicks in a Sports I just
wanted to ask you a question about just what inspired
you to lunch love on Lawn and eligent and how
is your personal journey influenced the vision for this event.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Yes, so Love a Lawn is It's it means a
lot to me.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
Love a lawn I put together by me and some
friends of mine that I grew up with and my producer.
I've been I've been doing events in my hometown since
I was like eighteen years old, just trying to bring
something there and just something just to move the culture
and just get just to bring something in there. I've
just always been active like that in music and everything
(28:04):
and entertainment with my team, and so I've been trying
to bring something that sticks for a long time. And
a couple of years ago, about four years ago, we
were we were trying to come up with some type
of event for outside, and we thought about Love on
the Lawn and I came up with the name Love
on the Lawn and it's stuck. And we did it
just to bring the community outside, just to bring the
(28:25):
community together more and make sure our elders don't have
to drive too far for entertainment for.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Something that they really want to want to come to,
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Like a lot of the elders and and els in
like Chicago's like probably was about forty five minutes from us,
maybe an hour sometime with traffic, So they they're gonna
they're not gonna drive down there all the time for events,
So I feel like it's my duty to bring something
to them.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
They ain't got to go that far.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
Absolutely, I love that. But can you talk a little
bit about how has the festival grown since its inception
and what do you see as some of the most
impactful changes so far?
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Yes, yeah, yeah, the festival has grown tremendously.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
We started off at our first year five hundred people
and now we are our fourth year and we had
fifty four hundred people. Last year we did music Soul
Child last year's our hairline.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
It was awesome.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
I think it impacts my community just by just just
by the love.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Love is so powerful, you know.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
So just like just even the name Loveling Lawn, just
moving around the community for the whole year with flyers
or with word of mouth everything, I think that just
brings essence and a something to the community that that
that just that just brings us together more, you know.
So I think the love is impacting us where it's
bringing us out. People coming out by what they hold
with all their family, you know, and they're looking forward
(29:42):
to this, so it gives them something to look forward
to give them something to have joy about, something to
tell that they can tell other people about that they
got that we got. It's ours that we put our
staff on this in our town and people can come
and enjoy Themselfaly.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
No, you know, Love on Bland is often described as
the largest family reunion, and that's what makes the event
go like home for just so many people.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Yes, yes, it's I think it's a It's a lot
of things. Probably the music, you know, the music, and
how help me and my team put it together. I
have a great team, me Tyrell Thornton, Tisney Simmons, Maricha,
Summersville of my Grace. We really, we really put a
lot a lot of effort into this to make sure
that everybody's has a great time, you know, and everybody's
(30:29):
comfortable with coming out, comfortable with coming out to a
Love on a Law.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
So I guess my question to you would be just
the intentional aspect of it of just creating like real
community impact through the initiatives like youth sponsorships and family support.
How do you keep that purpose at the core of
the festival.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Well, I keep me personally, I keep it at the
core because my community helped raise me. So I'm going
to raise the l a Pop Warner football there from
the age of like nine, so I was to high school,
I was out. I graduated high school there playing sports.
So I always been sports always been about, you know, community.
I can go and anybody'sfrigerated in my community and get
a sandwich out without a but no question, you know.
(31:15):
So I feel like it's just it was just about community,
you know, and and love and support from every from everyone.
And I'm a church boy too, so so it's like,
you know, this is something that gives us all a family.
It's like a family oriented thing. You don've gotta be family.
What You're gonna come there and feel like family when
you when you come to Love on Lawn.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Now looking ahead, service, what are your hopes for the
future of Love on the Line, both an elegent and
of course potentially be Yon.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
Yeah, yes, my hope for Love and Law is that
it grows even grows more. For a two day, two
day event right now, with one day event August thirtieth, uh,
every Labor Day, we can with that Saturday, but I
want to go from Friday to Saturday, maybe even Sunday.
Well we grow to you know, I think we can
do that because we're just growing so fast. And then
I want to take it to different states and different cities.
I think the first state will probably want to go
