Dirty Birds defense. Now listen, Easton Stick got the start
at quarterback for Atlanta. But here's the thing. The office
just couldn't find its groove. A couple of you know,
cool field goals kept it respectable, and there were some

flashes here and there, but overall the Falcons looked like
a team still trying to put the pieces together. Now,
the real storyline is roster cuts now on Tuesday, fifty

it's a vibe. It's a vibe. New Sports is lovely.
It's coming up. Nets We've got the hottest sports tea
coming up after the great Meg in the Stallion isn't

her benthe Clay Thompson and trust us, you won't believe

(08:53):
Oh I'll go back, and I'll go back. Is lovely.
Now we're shifting from the court to the kitchen. And
trust me, the drum here is just as juicy is
making the stallions from that the way to NBA start.
Clay Thompson's heart is apparently through his stomach. And now listen,
it's not just any meal. She got him hooked on
(09:13):
some catfish of a spaghetti with tomato sauce and a
sight of dinner rolls. Yes you heard that right, Sports Lovelace.
Can you imagine no spaghetti and some cagfish? Hmmm, sounds
kind of delightful right now. May has been posting videos
showing Clay devouring the same dish Ova and Ova and
(09:35):
Ova again, and she's claiming he's literally begging for it
every week like clockwork. Like what, look, we get it.
Consistency is the key, okay, but this is net's level loyalty.
Forget game stats, it's the weekly catfish check in that
really counts right now. So, Sports Lovelace, if you're looking
(09:57):
for a relationship playbook for making the stallion's simple. Step one,
make catfish, Step two, atti spaghetti. Step three, repeat, repeat, repeat,
and listen. Step four pray your boothday. Your boyfriend doesn't
get tired of it, because, unlike basketball, there's no instant
(10:17):
replay if he says not tonight, baby, and that is
our sports tea. Come up after the break. It's my
w NBA news, Stay tuned, will be bad. Welcome back,
(10:45):
Welcome back to Spirits Celevelies. It's that time WNBA News.
Next Sports Celevelies. Let's dive into the latest from Atlanta Dream.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Now.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Listen, Atlanta Dream fans. What a night? What a night
at Gatewaytinger. The Dream closed out their season series against
the Minnesota Links with a nail biting seventy five to
seventy three victory, and with that win, they tied franchise
record for most wins in a single season at twenty three,
matching the mark first set back in twenty eighteen. But
(11:17):
the very next game, they weren't done making history. Atlanta
handled the New York Liberty seventy eight to sixty two,
setting a brand new franchise record with their twenty fourth
win of the year. Now, Alicia Gray kept her hot
streak live, leading the team and scoring for the sixteenth
straight game with seventeen points and eight rebounds. Brianna Jones
(11:40):
matched her with seventeen and eight in the post, and
Ricky pou Poull knocked down three triples to keep the
crowd buzzy. Now, Ryan Howard did a little bit of everything.
Nine points, eight boards and sississists not a single TURNOVERA yes. Now,
this team is lacking in book ends of the floor
(12:01):
and timing can be better. Next up, having great showdown.
The dream host of Defenditian champions Las Vegas As is
on Wednesday night. Tip Off is at seven thirty pm
at Gateway Center Arena. History's already being made. But listen, guys,
listens for slovelies. The dream looked like they're just getting started.
(12:21):
Let's go dream. Let's go listen. We're slovely. Can we
talk for a minute. Let's talk about Page Reckers because
what she did was nothing short of historic. Now, on
August twentieth, the Dallas Wings, Ricky when absolutely nuclear, dropping
forty four punts against the Los Angeles Sparks. Now that's
(12:44):
not only a new WNBA Ricky scoring record, it's also
the highest point total by any player in the league
this season. Now here's the killer. She did it on
seventeen of twenty one shooting. That's eighty one percent from
the field, four for four from deep. No one, no
one in WNBA has she had ever scored forty or
(13:06):
more on eighty percent shootout till Buckets did it. Yes,
she scored the Wings last thirteen points, carrying her team
down the stretch. But basketball can be cruel, because Kelsey
Plumb buried a buzzer beater for the Sparks to steal
the eighty one to eighty one. But here's the thing.
Buckers walked away with a record setting night, but not
(13:27):
the wind. But here's the thing. In true Wicki fashion,
her follow up game was a reminder of the grind,
just eleven points, sparking the consistency debate we all know
too well now page proof. She's already a must see TV.
Now the question is can she do it again? If so,
the w might just have to have its next check
(13:49):
on the next superstar. Now, listen, WNBA fans, can we
talk about superstars and just breaking records and breaking barriers? Now?
On August twenty first, the league officially set a new
single season attendance record, with more than two point five
million fans packing arenas this year. The previous mark stood
(14:12):
all the way back in two thousand and two. But
here's the kicker. Back then, the league had sixteen teams. Today,
with just thirteen teams. The record was shattered in f
your games with three weeks still left in the season. Now,
this search isn't just about numbers. It's about momentum. From
Clayland clock Ricky Buzz to agent Wilson Dominans, from sellout
(14:35):
Cross in Vegas and New York to record breaking Knights
in Indiana, the WNBA had turn games into a full
on event. That league has never been louder, prouder, or
in demand, and with the playoffs just around the corner,
one thing is certain. The seats will be full, the
energy will be high in the history isn't just being made,
it's being sold out. The WNBA doesn't just have fans now,
(15:00):
it has a movement Lessons sports lovelies. I'm here for
and you better be here for it because we're taking
OVA in the w And that is your WNBA news

GE moment, stay tuned will be what O my god,
Oh no she didn't.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Oh no she didn't.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Oh oh no, this what for journey? Oh I'm not
going to Max Spats levelies. You know what time it is.
It is our smate ong moment, and listen, it's gonna
be a moment that I think we should just sit
down and celebrate confidence. Now let's just say here, sports celebrities,
(16:49):
I'm not saying you're gonna judge. I always create a
safe space for everyone and a safe place. This is
right now. Now listen, guys, let's talk a little bit
about Serena Williams. Okay, look, she just revealed she's taking
the GLP one drug Depth Book Depth Bound. It is
(17:10):
a rate loss drug via bro. Now, of course you
can get that on an online pharmacy where patients can
access medications like oziped we Grovy and of course zep
bound is what she's on now. Listen. She didn't start there,
but she's saying that she has tried many, many diets,
(17:30):
you know, including running and look, let's be one hundred percent.
Over the years, Serena Williams has been body shame. Now.
I think she looked absolutely if I have listen, sometimes
I was like if I had the booty of Sobrina. Okay, okay, okay,
but that's not here or there. I'm just saying, you know, listen,
(17:53):
body shaming is not allowed here. I think she had
a phenomenal body, but it's always about what makes you happy. Now,
in her own words, she said, I would always get
to a certain point on the scale, but I could
never get below that. That's when I decided that it
was time for me to try something different. And that's
(18:14):
when she got on the gop one with Grow. Now
here's the thing, guys, Listen, Serena has wanted to just
stand with the many women who do everything right from
trying to lose weight, but just don't see the results.
Hello you here, Tomas, I'm here raising my hand. I'm
sorry you don't see it, but I am. But after
(18:35):
giving birth to her second child in twenty twenty three,
she said, the scale just went But so she made
a decision, and a decision indeed. So here's the thing.
Everyone has a lot to say about those drugs. I
am one to say that I am taking part of
some of those drugs, and of course it's for health
(18:56):
reasons as well. But either way, the thing about it
is you have to do what's best for you. And
I will say this to you smh omd. If Serena
needs a little help, then the rest of us can
stop pretending kill and cardio is sometimes enough, because sometimes
it's not for some people, it works from others, an't.
We all have different body types, we're all different people.
(19:18):
In all honesty, we should all just level up on
our excuses. Drop the mic, Mike is down. Hey, we
stand with you, so Reno Williams, you go, girl, do
what you have to do to make you happy. And
that is my smh OMG moment for the week. Be
sure to chet out chicks in the sports dot com

your thoughts on social media. Coming up after the Brink
is my special guest, Stay tuned will be my next
(20:07):
gust It's a specialist with over a decade and tactical
and executive level protection from securing the WNBA's Atlanta Dream
to protecting Brittany Garner and fought sports talent Michael Strahan.
He brings real world leadership from the film, whether as
a pro football player, SWAT officer, ordentitary protection supervisor for
Fulton County, DA, Fannie Willis. Sports Lovelies, please welcome Thomas
(20:29):
Rix too, Chicks in the Sports Thomas Welcome, Welcome to
Chicks into Sports. Now listen. As someone who's operated in
elite law enforcement units and now oversee security top tiers,
how has your tactical training informed your private sector work?
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Well, there's a method to everything, right, So my tactical
experience brought into this field just the planning and execution
of a plan.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Right.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
So it's all structure. It's like a dance, so to say. Right, So,
coming into this field, you have to have the discipline
and the know how to be able to get from
point A to point B safely. Just like in tactical planning,
you have to operate in a certain manner so everyone
(21:23):
will go home safely.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Right.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
So it's all about discipline, it's all about structure and planning.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Awesome, I love that. But listen, you're days with the swats,
you know, Okay, you talk about your time as a
SWAT officer and assistant Chief Investigator for Glulton County District
Attorney's Office, and just what some of your I guess
most defining experiences were, Like.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
That's what operator. Of course, there were a lot of
you know, high profile, dangerous operations, you know, even more
so as a US marshal because in that field it's
a lot of hit and go right, Like, you get
information that you have to strike on and hurry up
to get to and a lot of times is very dangerous,
(22:13):
very dangerous situations. You know, in the field as as
an assistant chief you know, a lot of that was
geared into the actual client. Right, we have our heart,
we have our cold times, times where you know there's
a very very you know, high level of security that
(22:39):
you need to implement for your client. But again, you know,
some of my most dangerous times, you know, definitely when
we're going after you know, high profile murder suspects in
the SWAT those are as. This one guy, he he
(23:02):
killed his mom, he killed his dad and his aunt
and then fled to New Orleans and we had to
actually chase this guy down. Yeah, so you know, clearly
it was an individual that really cared nothing about life.
So therefore, you know, we had to go in with
the extra uh you know, with the plan of course,
(23:24):
but with a very high level of care, you know,
and prepared to be able to do anything in order
to make sure that we take him into custody safely
or not. But at that point, it was just about
how he would react to our level of force. So, yeah,
(23:46):
there were numerous numerous operations such as that because at
that point, you know, I live in Atlanta now, but
I'm from New Orleans, so and that's where you know,
I operate, you know, SWAT operator in the US, Marshall.
So once I came to Atlanta, I became an assistant
(24:07):
chief at the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, where you know,
I worked with Fannie Willis and of course everyone knows
what we had to deal with in that area. So
I don't know if I need much explanation for that one.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Now, well said, oh my goodness, that is so awesome,
Oh my goodness, but you know it look just looking
at now. I mean mostly worked with celebrities like Anthony
Davis and of course Atlanta Dreams own BG Britney Briner.
I guess my question to you would be what unique
challenges come with protecting these high profile clients in just
(24:47):
this public set.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Well, the challenge comes with being able to balance whether
there's a fan, oh, whether this fan has ill intentions? Right,
because as a higher profile athlete, of course, you would
not be high profile if it wasn't for your fans. Right,
So at that point, you need to be able to
(25:12):
read body language very well, right as as a protector
of that individual. Right, you need to be able to
understand that these these high profile athletes have an obligation
to their fans and they take that very seriously. So
you need to be able to understand that yes, they're fans,
(25:36):
but there's also some that would pretend to be fans
position themselves to get close enough to do something that
no one wants to happen to a high profile athlete.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
You know.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Also you need to understand that these individuals have personal lives,
right and even though their high profile and you know
they if they have a bad day, everyone knows about it.
They want to be normal as possible, right, So you know,
it's not always the you know, hey, I need to
(26:11):
be there with you to you know, go get skills
from a grocery store, you know what I mean. Yes,
And they're super tall, so it's not They're very recognizable,
so so you know, it's it's it's it's a balance
of you know, wanting them to be normal, but also
(26:32):
making sure that they feel covered.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Absolutely. Now, ye know, from my end of work, I
often cover the Atlanta Dream and so my my life
from our perspective is a little bit different. But look,
you have a role as director of team security for
the Atlanta Dream. So could you just walk us through
like the typical day or a typical game day. What
(26:56):
does that look like for you?
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Well, a typical game day it starts off early in
the morning. Where people don't understand is that even though
we have a night game that's at like seven thirty
at night, we start off very early in the morning.
You know. We make sure that we prepare you know,
the arena, make sure we prepare the players, make sure
(27:20):
that they're they're taking care of that they're washed over
as they come in to shoot around and practice and
things of that nature to prepare themselves for the game
that night. So you know, it's a it's an ongoing
thing where you know, even on road trips, which which
it magnifies even more so because we're not at home,
(27:41):
right so we're going into a different arena, We're going
to a different place, you know. But the you know,
the the w and the NBA do a very good
job of you know, communicating through you know, multiple different
networks just to make sure that everybody is up to
date on you know and current events. So it's a
(28:02):
lot that go into these, uh preparing for this, uh,
these type of events. So you know, yeah, it's it's
it's a it's a it's a full time round about
those gigs. So you know, just like I said, it's
just not showing up to the game and standing next
to the players and looking around. It's a lot there's
a lot of intelligence that go into it. So the
(28:26):
league do a very good job of making sure that
we're up to date on that type of stuff.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Awesome, awesome, Now what the Masters in Business and cyber
Security training. How do you integrate just product management and
text strategies into just your daily security work.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Well, again, you know, what I found is that I
use this every day. Project management all starts with planning, right,
creating a plan, making the plan, and execute that plan,
monitor this progress, and then closing that out with the
conclusion of your project. So again, even in the SWAT operations,
(29:09):
you start off with a plan, right, you execute, you
put that plan into action, and you monitor this progress. Again,
that's all project management. That's all it is. And again
my masters is in business with the focus in project management.
So again I'm very very grateful that I was that
I was able to get, you know, and obtain that
(29:31):
master's degree because I you know, I use it every
day and it just became a natural thing for me.
So you know, I really appreciate just you know, the
the focus that I that I need to have behind
that because at the end of the day, if you
(29:52):
go in, if you don't go in with a plan,
then you're setting yourself up for failure.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Absolutely, I totally agree. But again, my final question to
you would be just some of the advice that you
would give to expiring professionals looking to enter the private
security or executive protection bill. What advice would you give them?
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Well, develop a structure, right, So you know, I've a
company that's co founded by myself and my partner Tatiana Brown,
called Bricks Enterprises. You know, it's a it's a full
service security firm. We you know, service clients through through
expective protection, commercial and residential property, large scale events, things
(30:37):
of that nature, as well as private investigation. Have a foundation, right,
have a method that you use that you know works
at the end of the day. You know, through trial
and error, through the career, my training and things of
that nature. I developed this over time, right. I started
(30:57):
out in security back in when I was eighteen years old.
I'm forty three now. I was eighteen years young as
a young whipper snapper. I was I was a bouncer
in the club, not knowing what I was doing, but
I learned every night that there was something. I always
walked out of that job with something else new I
(31:20):
learned right, but always leave learning something. Get better every
day at your craft. So again, you know, create a
foundation and develop on that foundation again. Bricks Enterprises is
(31:40):
my foundation and so at this at this moment, we
just you know growing.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Absolutely, I love it. I love it now, Thomas, please
plug in again your business. How can we find out
word nation all of your social media outlets? Someone can
athletes follow what's going on with you?
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Absolutely absolutely so bricks Enterprises is. You can find us
at www dot bricks enterprises dot com. We also have
an Instagram at bricks Underscore Enterprises Underscore Security also on
Facebook Bricks Enterprises Security Firm. You could also give us
(32:24):
a call at four zero four nine sixty seven five
seven sixty eight. Again you'll reach myself personally or you'll
get my business partner, Tatiana Brown, who's also a military
veteran and has a has an extensive experience in human resources.
So we make sure that we customize our security plans
(32:46):
to our clients. Also, we make sure that we focus
on customer satisfaction as well as developing and our officers
to make sure that happens. So again we have bricks
