(00:10):
Hello everyone and welcome to our thirdepisode of coaching Lab Mexico. I am
coach Héctor Sampieri, and I amdelighted that he is joining us again in
this fifth season. In today's episode we continue our exploration of the
sustenance of executive coaching and we willdelve into one of the most influential schools,

(00:33):
ontological coaching. We will do sofrom the contribution it provides to personal
transformation and leadership development within coaching processesin organizations. The Ontological Coaching School,

(00:57):
developed by thinkers such as Fernando Flores, Julio Laya and Rafael Echeverría, has
marked a milestone in the field ofthe inexecutive car. Without a doubt,
it seems to me that it isthe most widespread coaching school in Mexico and
Latin America. Their approach is basedon the so- called ontology of language,

(01:17):
focusing on being and how people interpretand give meaning to their environment from
the projection of the language they useto define themselves and the reality around them.
Today we will explore the fundamental principlesof this school and its specific contributions
to the topic of interest to usin this fifth season, executive coaching.

(01:53):
Let' s talk about language ontologyfirst. In this perspective, it is
necessary that the way in which weinterpret and relate to the world is closely
linked to the structure, often unconsciousof our language. From this point of
view, nontological coachi focuses on changingthe way people build their reality through language,

(02:20):
helping them discover their perception of themselves, deconstructing narrative to transform a new
version of language that goes according tothe objectives they pursue. As the second
great element is what is called thetriple ontological bond. In this school a

(02:45):
triple connection between body, emotions andlanguage is maintained. It is considered that
these three domains are interconnected and thatany modification in one of them has an
impact on the other two. Thisapproach is much more comprehensive. We could
say that it is consciously incorporated intothe coaching processes that, under this methodology,

(03:08):
allows the companion to discover what hedoes not see of himself and how
this influences performance towards the objectives theypursue. Finally, as another great element,
we could say that, in theontological vision, learning, understood as
transformation, is essential, rather thansimply acquiring knowledge. This model focuses on

(03:32):
a transformational learning that arises from consciousnessexpressed in a new language, from what
has been observed and intentionally modified. It is about changing how we live in
the world, which means changing ouractions, emotions and perceptions, aligning this
modification to the objectives that are pursuedwithin a cooking process. Understanding now,

(04:12):
these three elements that we could saysynthesize the ontological perspective would be worth reviewing
what their specific contributions to executive coaching, to this coaching that pursues goals of
command, media and leaders within organizationsand institutions. The first element will be

(04:35):
to recognize that through this methodology wecan develop more effective dialogues. Since the
ontological cook places special emphasis on buildingeffective conversations, it helps the coachis to
expand their linguistic repertoire through the awarenessof language and its impact on themselves and

(04:56):
their interpresate relationships. This allows usto build new perspectives and opportunities that will
be the raw material of transformational change. Another important element is emotional management in
relation to body consciousness. Ontological coachingrecognizes the importance of emotions and body or

(05:23):
in the process of inexecutive coaching, addressing the already revised triple ontological bond.
This methodology then helps leaders to understandtheir emotions and how they are reflected in
their language and body posture, modifyingthe emotions present that speak of the current
situation en route to the emotions andbodily positions that would reflect the desired situation

(05:48):
in the coaching process. In addition, ontological coaching promotes the development of the
reflective observer, the observer model, which is one of the great contributions of
this school. This perspective seeks todevelop the capacity of Coachi to become a

(06:11):
reflective observer of himself and his actions. This allows leaders to examine and question
themselves from their own interpretations and beliefs, favoring greater self- awareness and more
holistic decision- making as they aremore informed. And to close with these

(06:33):
contributions to the technique of executive cochin, I would like to point out that
the ontological model has also deepened inart and in the knowledge of how to
properly face difficult conversations. The modelitself uses so- called ontological tools,

(06:58):
such as the act of promise,to help leaders assume their responsibility and consciously
participate in their interactions, contributing toa more collaborative and open working environment.
In an organizational world where we oftenfind it hard to agree, where we
often have to say things that arenot simple to express. This technique can

(07:24):
be a great tool for leaders withinorganizations, within institutions and to complete our
exploration of today, it has tobe said that, by focusing on the

(07:47):
personal transformation and ontology of language, this model brings the best fruits to the
world of the car and executive, since it provides leaders with useful tools and
perspectives to improve their leadership capacity moreconsciously and more efficiently. This model seeks

(08:07):
not only to improve performance, butalso to achieve a deeper ontological transformation,
favoring a fuller understanding of oneself andothers in the executive context of the organizations.

(08:30):
Thank you for joining us in thisthird episode of our fifth season.
I hope that this synthesis on ontologicalcoache will provide new ideas and tools to
apply in the practice of executive coachin. Don' t forget to subscribe to
coaching Lab Mexico so you don't miss out on our upcoming episodes.
Thank you for joining us and untilnext Monday, where we will explore together

(08:56):
the substantial elements of coaching coactive coachHéctor Sampierri. Thank you for joining us.
